40. By 4040 critical experiences in the Muslim world 40 gems of wisdom that we need to understand before we reach the age of 40, or, after 40, to enrich the rest of our lives.

As a young Muslim, coming into Islam,

traveling in the Muslim world, reading the news and looking at this beautiful tapestry of countries and cultures, that makes up the Muslim nation.

Islam and Muslims had done so much for the planet, the scientific system,

the number system, we are counting with Arabic numerals,

chemistry from alchemia. So many different aspects of our culture that we take for granted today came out of the beautiful array of intellectuals and ethnic groups that make up the world of Islam.

Yet, in the 20th century, going into the 21st century,

the world of Islam finds itself under attack.

And this is intensifying, with the international connections that the secular nations around the world have agreed upon.

And so coming into the 70s, the 80s and going into the 90s. And looking at the international movement toward the Muslim world,

our mothers,

international groups of soldiers pouring into the Muslim lands, and the Muslims appearing as though they were asleep.

This is shocking for people who understand the history and are looking at the present condition.

What could the Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him have thought about this? What could have been revealed to him from above seven heavens.

There is a gem of wisdom reported by toe band rather law one, which is so important that every time the international attack comes, I look back at the Saudis. And I realize it explains what is happening and is important for us to be able to see that what is going on is not strange in the sense that it was not predicted by the prophet peace be upon him, that it is not outside of the will of Allah subhanaw taala for what is happening to human beings.

A friend of mine in way back when the huge armadas were coming in, what they call the Gulf was pouring into the Muslim world. He made salado Juma in Amman, Jordan.

The soldiers were coming in planes flying in helicopters ships coming into the Arabian Peninsula. And the mom stood up for Juma and he talked about a camel will do. This is a scenario that that he is making very interesting one it is though there is a multi table spread. And a group has gathered around it and they see people and they say towel towel Come, come and eat with us. And so literally the nation's

calling each other

and they're about to descend upon you. And they want others to come eat from this food, enjoy the attack on the Muslim world.

And then the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him said someone asked, Will that be because we are few in number at that time?

He answered, No. At that time, you will be numerous.

Well, this is interesting how the Hadeeth goes, because it's a natural response. If the nations are going to be pouncing upon the Muslim world

and enjoying themselves, like eating food and calling their friends, that our numbers must be small. There's no way that we could be a large amount of people.

The Prophet peace and blessings be upon him answered.

No, at that time, you will be numerous but you will be the froth of the scum carried by the turret. Allah will remove the fear of you from the hearts of your enemies, and will put a weakness into your heart.

The Prophet peace be upon him then goes into details. His companions asked him we are under attack, will we be smaller number? And he said no. At that time, you will be numerous.

You'll be a large number. Look at the Muslim world today.

With over 1.6 billion Muslims, all over the planet umalas packed around the world, especially at the time of outside the pandemic

Hajj, huge numbers millions of people if the Saudi government allowed in the Hajaj without any restrictions, there might be between 10 to 20 million people coming into Mecca every year to perform the sacred pilgrimage. And so our numbers are huge, which even shows more and more how important this tradition is. But the prophet peace be upon him qualify it.

And he said

but you will be the froth

carried by the turret.

When you look at water, which is being pushed. I remember living in Cape Town and going down by the Greenpoint and the sea points and you see the water constantly coming in the foam. But there is foam on the top of it. And it looks like a lot of foam and a lot of twigs and seaweed and things that are moving in. But the seaweed when the water goes to the right, the seaweed goes to the right. When there's push to the left, it moves to the left. It goes in any direction. You look at a stream and you see the sticks and the twigs carried at the pace of the stream. Because there's no roots. There's no strength, there's no foundation to it.

And so a beautiful description for the condition of the Muslim world was our kaguta sale. Like foam, numerous Muslims all over the place.

But no wait, something missing in the body of Islam like a mirage of a Muslim world.

continued. And he said that Allah will remove the fear of you from the hearts of your enemies and he will put a disease weakness into your hearts. When someone asked what is that weakness He replied, The love of the world and the hatred of death. This is a beautiful description.

So the Muslim world, huge and large, but like phone, and the prophets, Allah Sallam said, Allah will take the fear of you, from the hearts of your enemies. And this muhabba this fear is not the fear of a terrorist, or the fear of something evil, it is a natural type of respect. And the best example of this that I found, was living in South Africa, and going to a huge Game Reserve.

And they're in this huge place. Kruger Park is like the size of Rhode Island in the United States. The animals are not locked in cages, like most zoos around the world, political prisoners locked in these cages, no.

The animals are free to run. And as you drive in Kruger Park and I went there with my wife, you're on this high vehicle, and the drivers got a gun, because this is real. And the animals are living in their environment.

The elephants are there.

The Buffalo, the leopards, all the different animals hippopotamus, rhinos, and every animal except for one had fear of human beings. When the humans come, the animals get nervous. And then our vehicle came across a group of lions, they were lying on the side of the road. And the driver said, Don't look them in the eyes never look a lion in his eyes.

And it was strange, because as the vehicle came with over 15 people sitting in it, human beings, the lions were sleeping, and relaxing on the side of the road, and they looked up at us and then sort of yond and went back to sleep. No fear,

no fear inside of them, because the lion is the king of the jungle, the lion has respect. The lion has exam. And is is not fear of a terrorist. But it is a natural respect that the Muslim world has enjoyed over the centuries. And it is reported that one of the Basset Khalifa is on more test and Billa when he heard that a Muslim woman was captured by the Christian forces, he wrote to the Christian King, and he said released this Muslim woman. And if you don't, I will send an army to you that is so large that the beginning will reach you, and the end will still be coming from me.

And the Christian King said, hear and obey.

And he sat back the Christian woman with a body guard to protect her on her way.

That is,

even though the mermaids and basses may not live up to the level of the qualifier regime, and people talk against them. But the Muslim world had strength it had respect. And it's interesting, because the same root produces the word Aziz. And that is something which is dear, it is something that is valuable. So the Muslim world was valuable. The Muslim world was dear to the world, and had respect. It had might

And the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him, then continued for his companions. And he said, Allah will put a weakness in your hearts and they asked, because it was their right and their blessing to be able to ask the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. They said that what is this weakness? What is the one

and he told them, hobbit dunya Wakata here to mode, you will love the dunya you will love the life of this world.

And you will hate and afraid be afraid to die.

And so when that feeling comes in when the dunya and all its materials, become the love of the hearts of the Muslims, when living for this world, living to eat and to drink and to own cell phones and technologies and, and to travel in planes and and to enjoy the bright glitter of the world. When that comes into the heart and when being afraid to make the transition to Allah subhanho wa Taala which is the real life. When that happens. Then you will be pounced upon. You will become dinner

for the other nations of the world. When

They want to attack you.

And so the Prophet peace be upon him accurately describes the attack the consistent attack coming on the Muslim world, intellectually. Coming to the news agencies, the insults on the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.

The physical attacks coming in armies coming into Muslim land, raping and killing, that condition that exists, that reality was described by the prophet peace and blessings be upon him. And so this helped me to understand what is the problem of the Muslim world

and from knowing the problems, then we seek the solutions.

And we pray that Allah would give us that ability to access the solutions. And as we continue 40 by 40, we look to the prophetic solutions to the dilemma that the Muslim world is living in the divine way out of the crises that we are facing, may Allah subhanaw taala unite the believers around the world. We allow lift the oppression and the Neo colonialism off the backs of our leaders and our peoples. And may Allah subhanaw taala bring peace and justice to the world and help the nations of the world to live together in peace and not to attack each other, to solve problems to come together as humanity, especially in this year in the face of the great pandemic of the COVID-19 that is

hitting the world. May Allah lift this off the entire planet and unite humanity and give Muslims that prophetic guidance that we need to take our leadership in this world coming to the end of time.
