Suhaib Webb – An Important Lesson From The Sira

An important lesson from the life of the

prophet

at the age of 35,

the Kaaba was hit with a tremendous flood

and actually ruined and destroyed. The Quraysh gathered

to rebuild it.

And after they finished rebuilding it, they began

to argue as to who would put the

black stone back in its proper place. We

know that blood was almost built in Al

Waleed ibn Muhaira. He said the person who

walks in next will be the one who

decides, and it was none other than Sayidu

Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam,

and they accepted his leadership because they knew

he was trustworthy. The important lesson here is

that coming from a catastrophe, what does he

do? He unites all of them and gives

them all the responsibility

of holding, right, a sheet with a stone

in the middle. Coming out of COVID 19,

the world is fractured. There's a lot of

divisions, and we, as a prophetic community, have

to start to think strategically about how we

can work together as a community,

unified holding the stone, and also bring humanity

together in healing a fractured world after COVID

19.
