Even amongst celebrities, they may share certain things in terms of wealth, popularity status, the thing that separates them is humility.

And so my brothers and sisters, I want to share with you

seven very simple points that you and I could implement and could practice that we can all attain this beautiful quality of humility.

And understand that our Prophet alayhi salatu wa sallam tells us in our authentic hadith in Sahih Muslim

that he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, Allah has inspired me that I order all of you my companions, to be humble towards one another.

To don't think of yourself above and beyond the person beside you, and don't transgress others in another Hadeeth in a pseudonym nessa our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam tells us that never will a person who is humble, and carries this quality of humility in the sight of Allah except that Allah raises their status and honor in this world and in the hereafter. What exactly is humility? humility very simply, is you the individual, you never for a moment, think of yourself above and beyond or superior to others. you humble yourself. So it doesn't matter of your knowledge, your status. And the greatest example of this is our Prophet sallahu. Salatu was Salam. He's the Prophet

of Allah. But he was also the most humble amongst his companions. And so here are seven points that our Prophet RT his salatu wa sallam practice and implemented in his own life, and encourage companions to do in order to preserve this beautiful quality. Number one, constantly smiling.

Our Prophet Isaiah Salatu was Salam would constantly smile. Smiling is a really interesting quality to have because when you smile, without saying anything without moving or doing much, you immediately welcome the person or people around you. You become approachable. People can talk to you they feel comfortable with you. This is without even sparking a conversation. And then

companions would constantly describe that the Prophet alayhi salatu was Salam had the most beautiful smile, to the point that some of the companions said his smile was even more beautiful than a full moon.

So smile.

And as a result, Allah blesses you with humility. Number two, shaking hands, but not being the first to let go. Now I know that's difficult during these times, but shaking the hands our Prophet alayhi salatu was Salam. Whenever he shook hands with his companions, he would always be the last person to let go. And the Prophet alayhi salatu was Salam taught us that there are many blessings by doing this. It looks like a simple and trivial act. But it is great. And it is blessing in the sight of Allah to the point where our Prophet alayhi salatu was Salam tells us that even with the shaking of the hands, and greeting each other with a salam, or any pleasant greeting, Allah azza wa jal

continues to forgive you and shower you with forgiveness. May Allah azza wa jal bless us with that always and forever, I love them.

Number three,

paying attention and not interrupting,

paying attention to a conversation without interruption again, the classic example of our messenger sallallahu it was selling this was one of the things about him. As to why he became so approachable companions never felt shy to come to him and ask him questions to talk to him about the most personal matters, because he saw Allah who it was sell them despite the status and the individual, the person that he is, would always make time for those who needed him. And when he sat with these companions, and had a conversation, he would listen first and foremost before saying anything. So giving that respect that love and that attention tells a lot about humility and you as the

making the person feel special.

Making each other feel special. You know, there's a beautiful narration

But there are narrations of the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa sallam sitting and stitching his own clothing, patching his own clothing, he would be sweeping, he would be in the trenches digging with the other companions, he shared the same responsibilities as others. He never saw himself that okay, I'm the Prophet of Allah, or I'm ashamed or I'm an EM and I can't do these things that the average layman Muslim does.

Humility is lost in that case. And so finding yourself doing the basic things, regular chores like anyone else, preserves and protects this beautiful quality of humility.

Number six,

wearing simple and decent clothing. This is really important because if you struggle with all the points that have just been mentioned,

then the bare minimum, you and I could always improve

Forever protect and preserve is our appearance. How we dress, the prophet alayhi salaatu wa sallam wore nice clothing, but you would never wear the type of clothing that would attract attention that would cause him to stand out because why? He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did not want others around him to feel like, Okay, well, he's rich, he's got a certain status. That's why he gets to dress better than us. when you dress and the clothing that you and I were, first and foremost, there are a couple of etiquettes should be groomed it should be clean. You know, once the messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam saw a companion, who was sitting on the floor, and his clothing, and His hair was untidy. And he asked him if he needed assistance in washing his clothes.

So he saw Lola, while he was some paid attention to these little things. And this is the point of today's reminder. Just don't look at subjects like this, and qualities like this, and think that they're impossible. The simplest things that you and I do in each and every day of our lives, can help us protect and preserve the quality of humility. Now, before I get to the last and final point,

why humility, why should we have it to begin with? scholars tell us that humility, protects other qualities in you. So it'll also protect patients kindness, care, love, appreciation, gratitude, all of the wonderful qualities that you and I want, and we want to protect humility protects all of them.

And so that alone is a beautiful incentive for you and I, especially he men, people have Amen, that as we carry our faith, that even if others don't see or know that we are Muslim, they see that there's something very beautiful about that person. There's something very kind, very warm, welcoming about that individual. Now, keep in mind, this is not something that you illustrate in front of strangers or in front of the community. The Prophet alayhi salaatu wa sallam taught us at the best of you are the ones who are best to their families. Meaning, whatever good qualities you have, you have to master that discipline with your family first before anyone else. Because if you

could do that at home, if you could do that with the people you see, every day you eat within you sit with every single day, then it becomes it literally goes into autopilot with strangers and those amongst the community. May Allah azza wa jal preserve and protect humility in our hearts and in our lives alone. I mean, I'm going to pause here and when I stand up again in sha Allah, Who tada we will conclude with the seventh and final point of how you and I could attain, protect and preserve humility is Neela hytera. It's the gift of humility, patience, all the wonderful things that you and I know, and we want and we want to

preserve and protect. And so having said that, I conclude brothers and sisters. Why this topic? Well, it's very simple. In a world where so much is happening in a time that is difficult in its own way for all of us. There are still things that you and I can hold on to, that we can continue to improve, increase our faith, increase and strengthen our bond a relationship with Allah

And this is one of them. Don't lose sight of the simple things because those are words that teach us and remind us at sometimes it's the simple things that are great and bless it in the sight of Allah subhanho wa Taala I pray Allah azza wa jal continue to increase us, strengthen us May Allah azza wa jal keep us together.
