The meaning of today's video is discussed, including the use of "has been" in Arabic and the historical context of the use of "has been" in various cultural and political settings. The use of "has been" is not a complete representation of the true meaning of the word, and it is a result of a message given to people by a prophetic figure. The use of "has been" is not a complete representation of the true meaning of the word, and it is a result of a message given to people by a prophetic figure. The umirals of Islam have faced pride and confusion over their religion, but acknowledge their weaknesses and accept their views. They acknowledge their weaknesses and expect their lives to be wiped from their history if they do not take Deen seriously.

All praises to Allah.

00:04:05 --> 00:04:06

All praises to Allah.

00:04:07 --> 00:04:09

All praises to Allah who guided us to

00:04:09 --> 00:04:10

Islam and to iman

00:04:11 --> 00:04:14

and to his Mubarak house on this Mubarak

00:04:14 --> 00:04:15

hour of this Mubarak day.

00:04:16 --> 00:04:17

And we were not to be guided. Was

00:04:17 --> 00:04:19

it not that Allah had guided us?

00:04:20 --> 00:04:21

Oh, Allah, to you his praise as his

00:04:21 --> 00:04:24

commensurate with the majesty of your countenance and

00:04:24 --> 00:04:25

the greatness of your authority.

00:04:26 --> 00:04:27

Oh, Allah, we do not limit you with

00:04:27 --> 00:04:29

any praise we can come up with ourselves.

00:04:29 --> 00:04:31

Rather, we admit that you're the only one

00:04:31 --> 00:04:32

who knows the true extent of your praise

00:04:32 --> 00:04:32

worthiness.

00:04:33 --> 00:04:35

And may the peace and blessings of Allah

00:04:35 --> 00:04:37

to Allah be upon his servant and messenger,

00:04:38 --> 00:04:41

our master, Sayna Muhammad, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.

00:04:41 --> 00:04:43

May the peace and blessings of Allah ta'ala

00:04:43 --> 00:04:44

be upon him

00:04:45 --> 00:04:47

and upon his noble companions and upon his

00:04:47 --> 00:04:50

pure wives and upon his Mubarak and blessed

00:04:50 --> 00:04:51

family and progeny

00:04:51 --> 00:04:53

and upon all of those who follow all

00:04:53 --> 00:04:54

of their way until the day of judgment.

00:04:59 --> 00:05:02

Brothers and sisters, continuing in the

00:05:03 --> 00:05:05

succession of talks that we

00:05:06 --> 00:05:09

have been having in this Mubarak Khutba of

00:05:09 --> 00:05:10

Jum'a

00:05:11 --> 00:05:11

until now.

00:05:13 --> 00:05:15

We left off

00:05:15 --> 00:05:16

speaking about the,

00:05:17 --> 00:05:18

imam

00:05:19 --> 00:05:22

al Mahdi, the rightly guided imam that the

00:05:22 --> 00:05:24

Nabi sallallahu alaihi wasalam prophesied will come before

00:05:24 --> 00:05:25

the end of time.

00:05:27 --> 00:05:28

And

00:05:29 --> 00:05:30

with his reign

00:05:30 --> 00:05:32

will be ushered

00:05:34 --> 00:05:36

A new era of

00:05:37 --> 00:05:40

returning to the sunnah of the messenger of

00:05:40 --> 00:05:41

Allah sallallahu

00:05:41 --> 00:05:42

alaihi wa sallam

00:05:42 --> 00:05:43

and the ascendency

00:05:44 --> 00:05:46

at least in some part of the world.

00:05:47 --> 00:05:48

The ascendency

00:05:48 --> 00:05:48

of

00:05:49 --> 00:05:51

the deen of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:05:51 --> 00:05:52

and its

00:05:53 --> 00:05:54

expression

00:05:54 --> 00:05:55

politically

00:05:55 --> 00:05:56

and culturally.

00:05:57 --> 00:06:00

Even though in its reality, its ascendancy isn't

00:06:00 --> 00:06:01

pegged to what happens

00:06:02 --> 00:06:04

in this world with human beings or with

00:06:04 --> 00:06:05

the creation.

00:06:05 --> 00:06:06

Rather, its ascendency

00:06:07 --> 00:06:09

in its truest form is pegged to the

00:06:09 --> 00:06:11

supremacy of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in his

00:06:11 --> 00:06:14

creation, and it's not diminished by whether people

00:06:14 --> 00:06:16

accept it or not or whether people act

00:06:16 --> 00:06:17

upon it or not.

00:06:18 --> 00:06:19

And so at that time,

00:06:21 --> 00:06:24

during the leadership of this imam,

00:06:25 --> 00:06:26

a number

00:06:26 --> 00:06:27

of battles,

00:06:28 --> 00:06:30

victories, and conquests are foretold

00:06:31 --> 00:06:33

by the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa

00:06:33 --> 00:06:34

sallam.

00:06:36 --> 00:06:37

And

00:06:38 --> 00:06:38

near

00:06:39 --> 00:06:41

the end of that time,

00:06:42 --> 00:06:44

what will happen is that people who have

00:06:44 --> 00:06:46

knowledge of the din will be aware

00:06:47 --> 00:06:47

that

00:06:49 --> 00:06:51

this is the time when a great tribulation

00:06:51 --> 00:06:52

will come to the ummah.

00:06:53 --> 00:06:55

And that tribulation is what we want to

00:06:55 --> 00:06:56

talk about today,

00:06:57 --> 00:06:59

which is the tribulation of the

00:07:02 --> 00:07:02

false

00:07:03 --> 00:07:03

messiah.

00:07:05 --> 00:07:06

The word messiah is

00:07:07 --> 00:07:08

a cognate for

00:07:09 --> 00:07:10

the word

00:07:11 --> 00:07:12

messiah in English.

00:07:13 --> 00:07:16

And the root letters of this word

00:07:16 --> 00:07:18

comes from masahayam

00:07:18 --> 00:07:19

sahu,

00:07:19 --> 00:07:20

to rub something.

00:07:22 --> 00:07:24

And one of the explanations for this

00:07:27 --> 00:07:29

word is that it was a rite of

00:07:29 --> 00:07:31

kingship in Banu Israel,

00:07:32 --> 00:07:34

That as a mark of acceptance of a

00:07:34 --> 00:07:36

person as king when he ascended to the

00:07:36 --> 00:07:36

throne,

00:07:37 --> 00:07:40

that he would be anointed with oil by

00:07:40 --> 00:07:42

the the priests and the elders of Banu

00:07:42 --> 00:07:43

al Salahi.

00:07:43 --> 00:07:45

That oil would be placed on the person's

00:07:45 --> 00:07:47

head as a mark of ascent to the

00:07:47 --> 00:07:48

rule.

00:07:48 --> 00:07:50

One of the meanings of

00:07:50 --> 00:07:51

in,

00:07:53 --> 00:07:54

in the Arabic language

00:07:54 --> 00:07:56

that our

00:07:57 --> 00:07:58

lexicographers

00:07:58 --> 00:08:00

mentioned in from them.

00:08:01 --> 00:08:01

The Mufasilun

00:08:01 --> 00:08:03

mentioned is a meaning of beauty.

00:08:04 --> 00:08:06

That the masih has

00:08:06 --> 00:08:08

a masih has a word that you is

00:08:08 --> 00:08:11

used an adjective that's used to describe a

00:08:11 --> 00:08:12

beautiful person.

00:08:13 --> 00:08:15

And so the actual Masih is who?

00:08:16 --> 00:08:18

The one referred to as the Masih in

00:08:18 --> 00:08:20

the Quran is said that Isa Alaihi Salam.

00:08:21 --> 00:08:21

Insha'Allah,

00:08:22 --> 00:08:25

he will also have ample mention in this

00:08:25 --> 00:08:27

series of talks when we

00:08:27 --> 00:08:28

get to that point.

00:08:29 --> 00:08:31

But this is Al Masih ad Dajjal.

00:08:32 --> 00:08:33

This is what this is the

00:08:34 --> 00:08:36

the cheater messiah or the false messiah.

00:08:37 --> 00:08:39

The word Christ in

00:08:39 --> 00:08:40

English comes from

00:08:41 --> 00:08:42

Christos in Greek,

00:08:43 --> 00:08:45

which is a literal translation of the word

00:08:45 --> 00:08:46

messiah.

00:08:46 --> 00:08:49

The one who's anointed, the choice chosen one.

00:08:51 --> 00:08:53

And so our Christian

00:08:55 --> 00:08:55

neighbors

00:08:56 --> 00:08:57

will

00:08:58 --> 00:08:59

use the expression the antichrist,

00:09:00 --> 00:09:01

meaning

00:09:01 --> 00:09:03

it's like there's 1 Christ and there's one

00:09:03 --> 00:09:05

that opposes the Christ.

00:09:05 --> 00:09:08

And we don't use exactly the same expression.

00:09:10 --> 00:09:11

What expression do we use in Arabic? We

00:09:11 --> 00:09:12

say

00:09:13 --> 00:09:14

the fake Christ.

00:09:15 --> 00:09:17

Dajjal is one of the meanings of the

00:09:17 --> 00:09:18

word dajjal is kalim.

00:09:19 --> 00:09:22

It's like a lie or falsehood.

00:09:23 --> 00:09:24

And in particular,

00:09:24 --> 00:09:26

the dajal which is

00:09:27 --> 00:09:29

It's an emphatic form,

00:09:30 --> 00:09:30

of

00:09:31 --> 00:09:33

the the fayl, of the active participle of

00:09:34 --> 00:09:34

Dajjal.

00:09:35 --> 00:09:36

The dajjal is who?

00:09:37 --> 00:09:39

He's the one who uses a little bit

00:09:39 --> 00:09:41

of truth and mixes uses a little bit

00:09:41 --> 00:09:43

of truth and uses it in order to

00:09:43 --> 00:09:46

mix a whole lot of lies together with

00:09:46 --> 00:09:48

it, which is the sign of an expert

00:09:48 --> 00:09:48

liar.

00:09:50 --> 00:09:52

Who's going to go further as a liar?

00:09:52 --> 00:09:54

The person who yells and screams 2+2 equals

00:09:54 --> 00:09:56

5 people are gonna think this person is

00:09:56 --> 00:09:56

crazy.

00:09:58 --> 00:10:00

Very few people will believe such a person,

00:10:00 --> 00:10:02

And those who believe are probably going to

00:10:02 --> 00:10:03

be of little consequence.

00:10:05 --> 00:10:06

The expert liar is the one who is

00:10:06 --> 00:10:09

going to weave partial truths together in order

00:10:09 --> 00:10:12

to show something that is very truthy

00:10:13 --> 00:10:14

but isn't quite the truth.

00:10:16 --> 00:10:17

With

00:10:18 --> 00:10:19

a great amount of remorse

00:10:20 --> 00:10:22

and regret and sorrow in our hearts.

00:10:22 --> 00:10:24

All of us at some point or another

00:10:24 --> 00:10:26

have seen people whether they be politicians,

00:10:27 --> 00:10:30

whether they be family members, whether they be

00:10:30 --> 00:10:31

people at work,

00:10:31 --> 00:10:32

whether they be,

00:10:33 --> 00:10:34

neighbors.

00:10:35 --> 00:10:37

Unfortunately, also some of them are religious leaders

00:10:37 --> 00:10:38

as well

00:10:39 --> 00:10:41

That are extremely efficient at this.

00:10:41 --> 00:10:44

At gathering together disparate points of data and

00:10:44 --> 00:10:46

trying to point a picture or paint a

00:10:46 --> 00:10:48

picture in order to show people something. But

00:10:48 --> 00:10:50

the reality from behind it is actually something

00:10:50 --> 00:10:51

else. It's a falsehood.

00:10:52 --> 00:10:53

One of the meanings of

00:10:54 --> 00:10:56

of of of of in Arabic is what?

00:10:57 --> 00:10:59

It's like if someone is selling a camel

00:11:00 --> 00:11:03

and the camel has mange on its skin.

00:11:04 --> 00:11:05

There's like a skin disease.

00:11:06 --> 00:11:08

Obviously, a buyer is going to want to

00:11:08 --> 00:11:10

buy a healthy animal

00:11:11 --> 00:11:14

and it will result in a a decrease

00:11:14 --> 00:11:15

in price

00:11:15 --> 00:11:17

for that animal at the marketplace.

00:11:18 --> 00:11:20

And perhaps many people will not want to

00:11:20 --> 00:11:22

purchase it in the 1st place because it

00:11:22 --> 00:11:23

has such a defect.

00:11:23 --> 00:11:25

So what people used to do to cheat

00:11:25 --> 00:11:26

in the old days is what?

00:11:27 --> 00:11:29

They would put tar over the mange and

00:11:29 --> 00:11:31

then you take the fur of of a

00:11:31 --> 00:11:33

camel and kind of plaster it on the

00:11:33 --> 00:11:34

tar.

00:11:34 --> 00:11:37

So only a person who knows exactly what

00:11:37 --> 00:11:38

to look for and exactly where to look

00:11:38 --> 00:11:40

for it will know that there's some something

00:11:40 --> 00:11:41

wrong with that animal.

00:11:42 --> 00:11:43

Why? Because it's fake.

00:11:44 --> 00:11:44

It's fake.

00:11:45 --> 00:11:47

Another meaning of dajjal

00:11:48 --> 00:11:50

is to take a a brick of

00:11:50 --> 00:11:51

lead

00:11:51 --> 00:11:53

and to gild it with gold from the

00:11:53 --> 00:11:54

outside

00:11:54 --> 00:11:56

in order to portray it as if it's

00:11:56 --> 00:11:58

gold. But inside, what is it? It's lead.

00:11:59 --> 00:12:01

The most dense of metals or at least

00:12:01 --> 00:12:03

common metals that people trade in, you know,

00:12:03 --> 00:12:05

there's like in the periodic table, there's a

00:12:05 --> 00:12:07

whole kind of like side section of hyper

00:12:08 --> 00:12:12

radioactive elements that, are are extremely rare, some

00:12:12 --> 00:12:13

of which only exist for seconds.

00:12:14 --> 00:12:17

But from common metals, the most dense metal

00:12:17 --> 00:12:18

is gold.

00:12:18 --> 00:12:20

And then after it, the most dense metal

00:12:20 --> 00:12:23

is silver. These are both very precious metals.

00:12:24 --> 00:12:26

And then after it after silver is what?

00:12:26 --> 00:12:27

It's lead.

00:12:28 --> 00:12:29

And so all 3 of them are very

00:12:29 --> 00:12:31

dense. 2 of them are of great value.

00:12:31 --> 00:12:32

1 of them is not.

00:12:32 --> 00:12:34

So if a person wants to fake like

00:12:34 --> 00:12:35

they're giving someone

00:12:35 --> 00:12:37

a a a a gold ingot or block

00:12:37 --> 00:12:38

or brick,

00:12:39 --> 00:12:41

what would they do? Take a lead, because

00:12:41 --> 00:12:43

you did it from another metal, a person

00:12:43 --> 00:12:45

will pick it up and feel immediately that

00:12:45 --> 00:12:46

this is

00:12:47 --> 00:12:49

not gold because of its lightness.

00:12:50 --> 00:12:52

But to take that gold and that lead

00:12:52 --> 00:12:54

brick and gild it with gold in order

00:12:54 --> 00:12:55

to fool people.

00:12:56 --> 00:12:58

And so the Masih Dajjal is a figure

00:12:59 --> 00:13:00

who come near the end of time

00:13:01 --> 00:13:02

and he will be the

00:13:04 --> 00:13:06

fake Christ. Not the antichrist.

00:13:08 --> 00:13:11

Semantically, it's a different meaning, although that meaning

00:13:11 --> 00:13:12

is not a 100% incorrect.

00:13:13 --> 00:13:15

But we say that he won't be the

00:13:15 --> 00:13:18

antichrist. We say he'll be the fake Christ.

00:13:18 --> 00:13:20

He will come with some of the and

00:13:20 --> 00:13:22

some of the claims of

00:13:22 --> 00:13:23

being a messiah like figure.

00:13:25 --> 00:13:27

But in all the most important ways,

00:13:28 --> 00:13:30

he's not going to have anything to do

00:13:30 --> 00:13:30

with

00:13:31 --> 00:13:34

what the actual masih alaihis salam is going

00:13:35 --> 00:13:36

to come with.

00:13:36 --> 00:13:38

Rather it's all going to be a scam.

00:13:39 --> 00:13:41

Just like that person who takes that

00:13:42 --> 00:13:44

brick of lead and finds out that it's

00:13:44 --> 00:13:45

made out of lead and that they've been

00:13:45 --> 00:13:47

cheated out of great wealth.

00:13:47 --> 00:13:49

Just like that person will take home this

00:13:49 --> 00:13:50

camel

00:13:50 --> 00:13:52

and realize this camel has a skin disease,

00:13:52 --> 00:13:53

it's not good for anything.

00:13:56 --> 00:13:58

Just like that the people who follow this

00:13:58 --> 00:13:59

fake Christ,

00:13:59 --> 00:14:01

this liar cheater Christ,

00:14:01 --> 00:14:03

they'll realize they followed someone that was not

00:14:03 --> 00:14:04

worth

00:14:05 --> 00:14:05

following.

00:14:07 --> 00:14:08

And so what will happen is

00:14:09 --> 00:14:10

during the

00:14:11 --> 00:14:12

leadership of the Imam Mahdi,

00:14:16 --> 00:14:18

after a number of victories of the Muslims,

00:14:19 --> 00:14:21

Shaytan himself will scream

00:14:22 --> 00:14:23

that this,

00:14:23 --> 00:14:26

Dajjal has appeared amongst you. That this person

00:14:26 --> 00:14:29

claiming to be the messiah, who's obviously not

00:14:29 --> 00:14:30

the messiah, has appeared amongst you.

00:14:31 --> 00:14:34

And the Muslims, because of their readiness

00:14:35 --> 00:14:35

for

00:14:35 --> 00:14:36

battle,

00:14:37 --> 00:14:38

they will rush

00:14:39 --> 00:14:39

to

00:14:41 --> 00:14:42

confront this person.

00:14:42 --> 00:14:44

And it will be what? It will be

00:14:44 --> 00:14:45

a false alarm, like the boy who cried

00:14:45 --> 00:14:46

wolf.

00:14:48 --> 00:14:50

There will be a number of people who

00:14:50 --> 00:14:53

are unfamiliar with that sunnah, the prophet sallallahu

00:14:53 --> 00:14:54

alaihi wasallam at this point,

00:14:54 --> 00:14:55

Who wants

00:14:56 --> 00:14:57

it's revealed to be a false alarm.

00:14:59 --> 00:15:01

Even those who are prepared or ready to

00:15:01 --> 00:15:03

oppose this person, they'll say, oh, you know

00:15:03 --> 00:15:05

this has become a joke. Everyone is going

00:15:05 --> 00:15:07

to talk about the Dajjal. Who knows if

00:15:07 --> 00:15:09

there's even a Dajjal who's coming or not

00:15:09 --> 00:15:10

and this is just a joke.

00:15:10 --> 00:15:12

And the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam says

00:15:12 --> 00:15:14

that it's shaitan who's gonna make this happen.

00:15:15 --> 00:15:17

Why? In order to get people not to

00:15:17 --> 00:15:18

pay attention to it anymore.

00:15:19 --> 00:15:20

Even to this day, there are many people

00:15:20 --> 00:15:22

who when the topic of the dajjal is

00:15:22 --> 00:15:24

raised, they roll their eyes.

00:15:24 --> 00:15:26

They say, Sheikh, we're still in September, Halloween

00:15:26 --> 00:15:27

is a month away.

00:15:28 --> 00:15:30

You know, give some relevant khutbah instead of

00:15:30 --> 00:15:31

this type of hocus pocus.

00:15:32 --> 00:15:34

And the fact of the matter is, is

00:15:34 --> 00:15:36

that this is something that the Nabi salallahu

00:15:36 --> 00:15:40

alaihi wa sallam said. Not just him, but

00:15:40 --> 00:15:42

rather it was from the mandate and from

00:15:42 --> 00:15:44

the obligation of every one of the prophets

00:15:44 --> 00:15:46

salayahu alayhi wa sallam

00:15:46 --> 00:15:48

from the time of Sayyidina Adam alayhi wasalam

00:15:48 --> 00:15:49

until

00:15:49 --> 00:15:50

our lavi

00:15:51 --> 00:15:52

and through him until

00:15:53 --> 00:15:54

the end of days.

00:15:55 --> 00:15:57

It was from the prophetic mandate to warn

00:15:57 --> 00:16:00

every single person about this Masihid Dajjal.

00:16:01 --> 00:16:02

This is why there's an

00:16:06 --> 00:16:07

Jews share as well.

00:16:08 --> 00:16:10

They may not have all of the same

00:16:10 --> 00:16:12

details as us but they share it.

00:16:13 --> 00:16:16

Khurtubi Rahimuallahu ta'ala in his tafsir,

00:16:18 --> 00:16:19

actually refers him to

00:16:20 --> 00:16:21

refers to him as al Masih

00:16:21 --> 00:16:24

with a with a dot on the on

00:16:24 --> 00:16:26

the on the last word. Orthographically, it's the

00:16:26 --> 00:16:27

same as?

00:16:27 --> 00:16:29

The is what It's

00:16:29 --> 00:16:31

just orthographically, it's the same.

00:16:32 --> 00:16:35

However, the word is different. It comes from

00:16:35 --> 00:16:36

a,

00:16:37 --> 00:16:39

comes from the root of masr, meaning

00:16:40 --> 00:16:41

trans transformation or deformation.

00:16:42 --> 00:16:44

That he is not really masih, he's not

00:16:44 --> 00:16:45

actually beautiful,

00:16:46 --> 00:16:49

but rather he's what he's transfigured. There's something

00:16:49 --> 00:16:51

deformed about him.

00:16:51 --> 00:16:51

And

00:16:52 --> 00:16:54

the hadith of Abdullah bin Umar alayhiallahu anhu

00:16:54 --> 00:16:55

from Sahih Bukhari

00:16:56 --> 00:16:58

mentions both of these things. That the messenger

00:16:58 --> 00:17:00

of Allah salallahu alaihi wa sallam once stood

00:17:01 --> 00:17:03

amongst the people and he praised Allah subhanahu

00:17:03 --> 00:17:04

wa ta'ala

00:17:05 --> 00:17:07

in in the manner that Allah is worthy.

00:17:08 --> 00:17:11

Then he mentioned the affair of this false

00:17:11 --> 00:17:12

messiah

00:17:13 --> 00:17:14

and said, indeed

00:17:14 --> 00:17:16

indeed I warned you about him.

00:17:17 --> 00:17:18

And there is no prophet

00:17:18 --> 00:17:20

except he warned his people.

00:17:21 --> 00:17:24

And indeed, Nuh alaihis salam warned his people.

00:17:24 --> 00:17:27

So can you imagine that Sayyidina Nuh alaihis

00:17:27 --> 00:17:29

salam of all the issues that he had

00:17:29 --> 00:17:30

to deal within his time,

00:17:31 --> 00:17:33

Of all the problems he had in his

00:17:33 --> 00:17:34

time. 950

00:17:34 --> 00:17:35

years of Nabooah.

00:17:37 --> 00:17:39

From the Mufassirun, they say one of the

00:17:39 --> 00:17:41

reasons that it was such a long lubuah

00:17:41 --> 00:17:42

is that Allah ta'ala

00:17:42 --> 00:17:45

charges him to go to every single one

00:17:45 --> 00:17:48

of the human civilizations of the earth and

00:17:48 --> 00:17:48

warned them.

00:17:50 --> 00:17:52

And warn them about shirk and about idolatry

00:17:53 --> 00:17:55

which had become right in his time. And

00:17:55 --> 00:17:57

out of all of that 950 years,

00:17:58 --> 00:17:59

just a few people will take the shahada,

00:17:59 --> 00:18:01

a few people will make tawba to Allah

00:18:01 --> 00:18:03

and believe with him.

00:18:04 --> 00:18:05

Still

00:18:05 --> 00:18:06

still,

00:18:06 --> 00:18:08

despite the fact that the Anbiya alaihi wa

00:18:08 --> 00:18:09

sallam, Allah gave them

00:18:10 --> 00:18:12

knowledge with regards to what would happen in

00:18:12 --> 00:18:12

the future,

00:18:14 --> 00:18:16

Knowing knowing that this is at the end

00:18:16 --> 00:18:19

of time, and Sayyidina Nuh alayhi salam's nubuwa

00:18:19 --> 00:18:21

is still relatively early in the prophetic history

00:18:21 --> 00:18:22

of mankind.

00:18:23 --> 00:18:24

Ibrahim alaihis salam has not come yet.

00:18:25 --> 00:18:26

The Banu

00:18:26 --> 00:18:27

has not come yet.

00:18:28 --> 00:18:30

The Nabi salallahu alaihis salam has not come

00:18:30 --> 00:18:30

yet.

00:18:31 --> 00:18:32

Still the prophet

00:18:32 --> 00:18:34

said what? Despite him carrying

00:18:35 --> 00:18:36

mankind with him on the ark,

00:18:38 --> 00:18:39

he said that Nuh alaihi wa sallam

00:18:40 --> 00:18:41

he

00:18:41 --> 00:18:42

also

00:18:43 --> 00:18:44

warned his people.

00:18:44 --> 00:18:46

But the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, I

00:18:46 --> 00:18:47

will tell you something

00:18:48 --> 00:18:49

that the,

00:18:50 --> 00:18:52

prophets before didn't mention.

00:18:53 --> 00:18:54

That you will know that he will have

00:18:54 --> 00:18:57

one eye. He'll have one eye and Allah

00:18:57 --> 00:18:58

doesn't have one eye.

00:19:00 --> 00:19:02

Now what a strange thing. What a strange

00:19:02 --> 00:19:03

thing to say.

00:19:04 --> 00:19:05

What a strange thing to say.

00:19:06 --> 00:19:08

Obviously, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, we don't believe

00:19:08 --> 00:19:09

in,

00:19:09 --> 00:19:10

an anthropomorphic

00:19:10 --> 00:19:12

description of Allah in the first place.

00:19:13 --> 00:19:15

All of those verses in ayat of the

00:19:15 --> 00:19:16

Quran.

00:19:17 --> 00:19:19

All of those ahadith of the messenger of

00:19:19 --> 00:19:19

Allah

00:19:22 --> 00:19:23

that indicate

00:19:24 --> 00:19:24

lexically

00:19:25 --> 00:19:26

or seem to indicate lexically

00:19:27 --> 00:19:29

any sort of resemblance with the creation.

00:19:30 --> 00:19:31

They're from the mutashabihat.

00:19:43 --> 00:19:45

We say that Allah ta'ala is Munazah. He

00:19:45 --> 00:19:48

is transcendent above any resemblance with the creation.

00:19:52 --> 00:19:54

So what is this about having 2 eyes

00:19:54 --> 00:19:55

and having 1 eye?

00:19:56 --> 00:19:58

The messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam

00:19:58 --> 00:20:00

said that this person will come, and he

00:20:00 --> 00:20:02

will be a a a religious figure, and

00:20:02 --> 00:20:05

he will unite the people, and he will

00:20:05 --> 00:20:06

promise people all sorts of

00:20:07 --> 00:20:09

benefit in this world, material

00:20:11 --> 00:20:13

all sorts of material benefit in this world.

00:20:14 --> 00:20:15

This

00:20:15 --> 00:20:17

figure is going to make a claim that

00:20:17 --> 00:20:18

he is Allah.

00:20:20 --> 00:20:22

All religions are the same.

00:20:23 --> 00:20:25

Islam is the same as Christianity. We're all

00:20:25 --> 00:20:25

the same.

00:20:26 --> 00:20:28

Islam is the same as Judaism. We're all

00:20:28 --> 00:20:29

the same.

00:20:29 --> 00:20:30

Hinduism,

00:20:30 --> 00:20:32

we all believe in one God,

00:20:32 --> 00:20:33

and I'm your

00:20:36 --> 00:20:37

God.

00:20:37 --> 00:20:41

And really to, as a matter of grave

00:20:42 --> 00:20:43

remorse and regret.

00:20:44 --> 00:20:47

We see Muslims also saying things like this.

00:20:47 --> 00:20:49

And the fact of the matter is if

00:20:49 --> 00:20:50

Islam was same as every other religion, why

00:20:50 --> 00:20:52

are you wiping your face on the floor

00:20:52 --> 00:20:54

5 times a day? And just go to

00:20:54 --> 00:20:56

church on Sunday once a week, shave your

00:20:56 --> 00:20:56

beard,

00:20:56 --> 00:20:59

take off your hijab and be normal. Enjoy

00:20:59 --> 00:21:01

yourself. Enjoy your life if it's all the

00:21:01 --> 00:21:01

same.

00:21:02 --> 00:21:04

There are very critical differences.

00:21:05 --> 00:21:08

The most apparent of which is what is

00:21:08 --> 00:21:09

that without this Islam, a person will not

00:21:09 --> 00:21:11

be eligible for salvation on the Day of

00:21:11 --> 00:21:12

Judgment.

00:21:12 --> 00:21:15

And just because we believe in the

00:21:16 --> 00:21:16

salvific

00:21:16 --> 00:21:18

exclusivity of our religion

00:21:19 --> 00:21:21

that you have to accept what the prophet

00:21:21 --> 00:21:21

said.

00:21:22 --> 00:21:24

Without Muhammad or Rasool Allah sallallahu

00:21:25 --> 00:21:26

alaihi wa sallam,

00:21:26 --> 00:21:28

Jannah becomes haram for you.

00:21:30 --> 00:21:31

It doesn't mean that we're rude to our

00:21:31 --> 00:21:34

neighbors or that we're impolite to people or

00:21:34 --> 00:21:37

that we treat them badly because they differ

00:21:37 --> 00:21:38

with us in religion.

00:21:39 --> 00:21:39

However,

00:21:40 --> 00:21:42

these two things are something that people they

00:21:42 --> 00:21:45

they they confuse. They say, well, if we're

00:21:45 --> 00:21:47

nice to people, it must mean that everything

00:21:47 --> 00:21:48

they're saying is okay and that's not that's

00:21:48 --> 00:21:50

not the case. We tolerate what we don't

00:21:50 --> 00:21:52

agree with. We don't agree with. It was

00:21:52 --> 00:21:55

all politeness and love. Imagine if somebody is

00:21:55 --> 00:21:57

about to drive off the edge of a

00:21:57 --> 00:21:57

cliff.

00:21:58 --> 00:22:00

You tell them you're driving, you're going to

00:22:00 --> 00:22:01

fall off, you're gonna die, you're gonna destroy

00:22:01 --> 00:22:03

your car, who's gonna take care of your

00:22:03 --> 00:22:05

children? Out of love for that person, you

00:22:05 --> 00:22:06

would tell them, wouldn't you?

00:22:07 --> 00:22:09

This dajjal is going to see

00:22:09 --> 00:22:12

an era and an age in which people,

00:22:12 --> 00:22:14

a, because of pressure

00:22:15 --> 00:22:16

are very very

00:22:19 --> 00:22:20

desperate to fit in.

00:22:20 --> 00:22:22

And so this gives them a way that

00:22:22 --> 00:22:24

hey look, I don't like eating pork, I

00:22:24 --> 00:22:26

celebrate Eid, I don't celebrate Christmas, but at

00:22:26 --> 00:22:28

the same time I wanna fit in. This

00:22:28 --> 00:22:30

will give those people of weak faith a

00:22:30 --> 00:22:31

way to do so,

00:22:31 --> 00:22:33

but it will come at a price. What's

00:22:33 --> 00:22:35

the price? It will cost you your salvation.

00:22:35 --> 00:22:36

It will cost you your najat on the

00:22:36 --> 00:22:37

day of judgment.

00:22:40 --> 00:22:42

As for the rest of the world,

00:22:43 --> 00:22:45

one very interesting thing is that we live

00:22:45 --> 00:22:47

in an age where people just don't take

00:22:47 --> 00:22:50

Deen seriously at all. Whether they be Muslims

00:22:50 --> 00:22:52

or whether they be people of other faiths.

00:22:53 --> 00:22:55

In some ways, it's a blessing. If you

00:22:55 --> 00:22:57

look at the history of Christianity, they had

00:22:57 --> 00:22:58

literally sectarian wars.

00:22:59 --> 00:23:00

If you think Muslims are bad when they

00:23:00 --> 00:23:03

argue about fit or about like ancillary points

00:23:03 --> 00:23:05

of Aqidah, it does become frustrating for all

00:23:05 --> 00:23:06

of us. Trust me as

00:23:07 --> 00:23:08

imam of a masjid, I'm like a magnet

00:23:08 --> 00:23:10

for these types of things. It becomes very

00:23:10 --> 00:23:13

frustrating to be very honest with you. However,

00:23:13 --> 00:23:15

we as an ummah have never been remotely

00:23:15 --> 00:23:16

as bad as

00:23:18 --> 00:23:20

other people have in the past, particularly in

00:23:20 --> 00:23:22

Christianity. If you read the history of Christianity,

00:23:23 --> 00:23:26

the most abstruse points of Christology,

00:23:27 --> 00:23:29

Literally, nations have gone to earth with one

00:23:29 --> 00:23:31

another, pronounced an anathema on each other, takfir.

00:23:31 --> 00:23:33

Pronounced an anathema on one another

00:23:34 --> 00:23:35

and spilled blood

00:23:35 --> 00:23:38

and spilled blood of of innocent people by

00:23:38 --> 00:23:40

the 1,000. There are forms of Christianity that

00:23:40 --> 00:23:42

survive in the Muslim world, that have gone

00:23:42 --> 00:23:45

extinct in the world of Christianity because of

00:23:46 --> 00:23:48

persecution to the point of of of death.

00:23:51 --> 00:23:53

So people might think, well, if they don't

00:23:53 --> 00:23:55

take Deen seriously anymore

00:23:55 --> 00:23:57

and they start killing each other about these

00:23:57 --> 00:23:58

like little things, this is a good thing.

00:23:59 --> 00:24:01

Yes. That part of it, I I'll admit

00:24:01 --> 00:24:02

is a good thing.

00:24:02 --> 00:24:04

What's the bad thing? The bad thing is

00:24:04 --> 00:24:06

nobody cares about Allah anymore.

00:24:07 --> 00:24:08

It doesn't matter anymore.

00:24:09 --> 00:24:12

Nobody wants to have a life inside of

00:24:12 --> 00:24:12

the heart.

00:24:13 --> 00:24:15

Nobody wants to make tawbah for their sins.

00:24:15 --> 00:24:17

Nobody wants to purify themselves.

00:24:18 --> 00:24:20

And unfortunately unfortunately, like the Messenger of Allah

00:24:20 --> 00:24:23

sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said, you will follow

00:24:23 --> 00:24:24

the people who came before you hands breath

00:24:24 --> 00:24:25

by hands breath

00:24:26 --> 00:24:27

to the point where if they went into

00:24:27 --> 00:24:29

a lizard hole, you'll go into the lizard

00:24:29 --> 00:24:30

hole because they went into it.

00:24:31 --> 00:24:33

It is Allah ta'ala who swears the most

00:24:33 --> 00:24:35

emphatic of oaths in his book.

00:24:38 --> 00:24:41

So many oaths one after the other by

00:24:41 --> 00:24:43

the the the the

00:24:43 --> 00:24:46

the sun, and it's rising in the morning,

00:24:46 --> 00:24:49

and the moon when it follows it.

00:25:03 --> 00:25:04

All of these oaths.

00:25:04 --> 00:25:06

And then finally Allah swears an oath by

00:25:06 --> 00:25:07

the nafs

00:25:07 --> 00:25:10

by the nafs that that everybody has inside

00:25:10 --> 00:25:10

of their heart.

00:25:14 --> 00:25:15

The only one who is successful is the

00:25:15 --> 00:25:17

one who purifies it inside.

00:25:18 --> 00:25:19

And the person who,

00:25:20 --> 00:25:21

who doesn't do so,

00:25:21 --> 00:25:23

that person is a a failure.

00:25:25 --> 00:25:27

Yet even in this even in this ummah,

00:25:27 --> 00:25:28

if we

00:25:28 --> 00:25:30

talk to people about those things that come

00:25:30 --> 00:25:32

under the heading of tazkiatunafs,

00:25:33 --> 00:25:35

purification of the soul, people will scoff at

00:25:35 --> 00:25:36

you and say, be real.

00:25:37 --> 00:25:39

You're being impractical. Be real. Be real with

00:25:39 --> 00:25:41

us. Be serious with us. This is not

00:25:41 --> 00:25:43

something that we're interested in.

00:25:44 --> 00:25:46

And so this Dajjal will come at a

00:25:46 --> 00:25:48

time where people don't care about Din anyway

00:25:48 --> 00:25:50

and he will allow them to get Din

00:25:50 --> 00:25:51

at a discount.

00:25:51 --> 00:25:53

You don't have to do anything. You don't

00:25:53 --> 00:25:56

have to say anything. I'll give you duniya

00:25:56 --> 00:25:57

on top of duniya as much as you

00:25:57 --> 00:25:57

want.

00:25:59 --> 00:26:01

All you have to do is and we'll

00:26:01 --> 00:26:03

there'll be unity. All of our divisions will

00:26:03 --> 00:26:05

end. All you have to do is believe

00:26:05 --> 00:26:07

that this joker who has one eye,

00:26:08 --> 00:26:09

who has one eye is Allah

00:26:11 --> 00:26:13

But unfortunately we've come to the point where

00:26:13 --> 00:26:15

people are ready to accept what

00:26:16 --> 00:26:18

saqif type people, completely

00:26:20 --> 00:26:22

laughable type people have to say about Islam.

00:26:23 --> 00:26:24

Why?

00:26:24 --> 00:26:25

Because it's convenient.

00:26:26 --> 00:26:28

And one of the reasons that this ummah

00:26:28 --> 00:26:30

has resisted this tendency for so long

00:26:31 --> 00:26:33

It's why because the messenger of Allah sallallahu

00:26:33 --> 00:26:35

alaihi wa sallam warned us that this was

00:26:35 --> 00:26:38

going to happen. And so there not everybody

00:26:38 --> 00:26:40

a group of people from among the believers

00:26:40 --> 00:26:43

always kept this knowledge with them, this understanding

00:26:43 --> 00:26:45

with them so that they could repel this,

00:26:46 --> 00:26:48

tendency which is a very human tendency

00:26:49 --> 00:26:51

from entering into this ummah. May Allah subhanahu

00:26:51 --> 00:26:52

wa ta'ala protect us all.

00:26:53 --> 00:26:54

And, I just wanted to,

00:26:58 --> 00:27:00

I just, wanted to end with a hadith

00:27:00 --> 00:27:01

of the messenger of Allah

00:27:22 --> 00:27:24

that there will always be a group of,

00:27:24 --> 00:27:26

of my Ummah who will

00:27:26 --> 00:27:27

fight in the path

00:27:28 --> 00:27:29

of truth and the path of the and

00:27:29 --> 00:27:31

the truth. Is one of the names of

00:27:31 --> 00:27:32

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in the path of

00:27:32 --> 00:27:33

Allah.

00:27:33 --> 00:27:35

And they will be given victory

00:27:35 --> 00:27:36

over those who oppose him,

00:27:37 --> 00:27:40

all the way through that era, in which

00:27:40 --> 00:27:42

some part of my will fight this

00:27:43 --> 00:27:46

and more, about him will, be continued next

00:27:46 --> 00:27:48

week. But never give up hope. Never give

00:27:48 --> 00:27:50

up hope no matter how overwhelming the odds

00:27:50 --> 00:27:51

are.

00:27:51 --> 00:27:53

Keep this knowledge with you and let it

00:27:53 --> 00:27:55

equip you, in order that you can like

00:27:55 --> 00:27:56

a sail

00:27:57 --> 00:27:59

that is unfurled in the ocean. Once the

00:27:59 --> 00:28:01

wind of Allah's help comes, the one whose

00:28:01 --> 00:28:03

sail is open, that person will receive the

00:28:03 --> 00:28:05

help. And the person who's concerned with some

00:28:05 --> 00:28:07

something else and their sail is wrapped up,

00:28:07 --> 00:28:09

if the wind comes or doesn't come, that

00:28:09 --> 00:28:11

person is lost at sea, they're stranded,

00:28:11 --> 00:28:13

and and nothing else no one else is

00:28:13 --> 00:28:15

going to help them. Allah make us from

00:28:15 --> 00:28:16

the former and protect us from being the

00:28:16 --> 00:28:16

latter.
