All praises to Allah.
All praises to Allah.
All praises to Allah who guided us to
this.
Who guided us to Islam and to Iman
and to his Mubarak house on this blessed
day of Jumu'ah.
And we were not to be guided. Was
it not that Allah had guided us?
Brothers and sisters, make no mistake.
This is a great
blessing and nahmah,
a blessing for which we were not thankful,
and a blessing which we had lost for
an amount of time that some may call
short but was painfully long for all of
us.
And a blessing that we
vouch in front of the Lord that we
will not take for granted again,
which is that he allowed us to gather
for this Jumuah,
This
Mubarak
hour of the week,
for which this entire building was made.
This Mubarak hour of the week for which
not just this building was made, rather Allah
says in his book,
I did not create the mankind
and the jinn except for to worship me.
And this is something that's known by anybody
who reads the book of Allah That anyone
who knows the sunnah of the messenger of
Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam,
That this prayer is the foundation of the
the deen, of the religion, and this prayer
is from the highest forms of Ibadat.
Allah
taught the prophet
that Ibadah which was
before this only reserved for the angels. Literally,
santa Jibril alaihi wasallam came down and taught
the salat to the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam,
the place where it was first taught to
him in front of the, and masala haram
is literally marked. There's a place with, like,
discolored stones. You can see where, say, in
Jibril alaihi sallam taught the prophet sallallahu alaihi
sallam this salaf, and out of all of
the salawat, this is the most aqid, this
is the one that is the most rigorously
emphasized.
And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has given it
back to us, and for that Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala is to be praised. How many
people from our community wanted to be here
and cannot be here right now? And how
many people wanted to pray this salatul Jum'ah,
and they cannot pray the salatul Jum'ah this
week.
So many people from my own colleagues and
friends, when they found out that Alhamdulillah, we
have this salat in this week, they said
make dua for us that we can also
have this salat soon. We ask Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala that when it's time to have
the iqama
and we put our faces on the floor,
that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala accept these suj
sajdas,
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala accept these subhanullahs,
and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala accept these Allahu
Akbar's not just from us, but from the
rest of our community and from the rest
of the Ummah of Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, he said, seek
help.
Seek help from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Through what? Through your steadfastness, through your patience,
was salah. And through this prayer, Inalla hamas
sabireen. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is with the
people of patience. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says
that it's very difficult,
except for for the people who fear him,
those who have this idea inside of their
heart that a day will come that they're
going to meet him, and a day will
come in which they're going to return to
him. And this is, Masha'Allah, not going to
be a long Khutba for the common sense
purpose of what? Preserving the health of the
people. We're going to, inshallah, pray, relatively quickly,
and then ask everybody
clear out and, pray their sunnah at home.
But it's not something that's lost on us,
what's happening in this country around us.
There's a lot of work to do. There's
a lot of injustice out there. The,
gross and graphic killing,
of a black man.
In a pose that all of us are
familiar with as Muslims, especially those of us
who are familiar with the Palestinian cause.
We're familiar, we've seen that pose before, which
is what The same knee of the occupation
in the neck of our brothers and sisters
in this in the Holy Lands, in the
Sacred Lands. Not once, twice, we've seen it
dozens of times before. Now we see it
it's also here in our our our doorstep.
And it's wrong over there, and it's wrong
over here as well.
And there's a proper reaction, and there's an
improper reaction, and this is a very long
discussion, and maybe I'm not the person to
lecture anyone about it. But I can tell
you this, what I do know is that,
this Ummah, its role and function in society
is what?
Is Part of it is to rectify those
things that are broken.
And we start with our prayer.
That you seek help with Allah Ta'ala through
your patience and through your prayer. And from
that the help comes and Allah ta'ala allows
us to do something better. So we seek
rectification for our brothers and sisters overseas,
and for our brothers and sisters in this
country as well, who are suffering from, oppression,
who are suffering from dehumanization,
who literally now that we've seen, you know,
an African American person,
men and women, both of them literally being
killed with impunity in front of our eyes,
in front of video.
And the ones that get videoed,
we all know that statistically they must be
the minority.
That something has to happen about this also,
and so we mentioned this in the sacred
hour, in the sacred Khutba, that we also,
know it, and we speak out against it,
and whatever we can do within our means
and within the,
bounds of our sacred law.
And whatever we can do in a way
that's going to make things better, we're
committed to it, and it starts with this
prayer, but it's not gonna end there either.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala give all of us
tawfiq
