AI: Summary ©
The conversation covers the history of Pakistan's Islam, including the Sira of the Messenger of Allah Alaihi Wasallam and the cancellation of the Kaaba. The attackers were led by a Muslim and criticized the statement of Islam. The treaty of the H airplane was finalized with signatures and the authenticity remaining unassailable. The language of Islam is not a sign of weakness, but rather a combination of words and realities. The history of Pakistan's Islam, including the legalization of temporary marriage, the use of animals as a means of war, and the return of a woman named Sayurrah Ta'ala by her father, are discussed.

We continue with the

00:00:20 --> 00:00:22

recounting of the Mubarak Sira of the Messenger

00:00:22 --> 00:00:24

of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:00:25 --> 00:00:26

from Hazrat Sheikh,

00:00:27 --> 00:00:29

Sheikh Hadith Mulla Mohammed Zakaria,

00:00:31 --> 00:00:32

Al Kandallawi,

00:00:34 --> 00:00:35

in his book

00:00:36 --> 00:00:36

Tathkiramasha'Chisht,

00:00:40 --> 00:00:41

with the 6th year of the Hijra.

00:00:43 --> 00:00:45

The eclipse of the sun occurred in this

00:00:45 --> 00:00:47

year, and for that reason, the eclipse prayer,

00:00:47 --> 00:00:48

the salatul Husuf,

00:00:48 --> 00:00:50

or Khusuf was ordained.

00:00:50 --> 00:00:53

For the past 60 years, the noble companions

00:00:53 --> 00:00:55

had neither seen the Kaaba nor their homeland

00:00:55 --> 00:00:56

of.

00:00:57 --> 00:00:58

The messenger of

00:00:59 --> 00:01:01

Allah was yearning to visit the Kaaba and

00:01:01 --> 00:01:03

perform Hajj. During this time, he dreamt that

00:01:03 --> 00:01:05

he, together with his Sahaba, had gone to

00:01:05 --> 00:01:08

perform Umrah. When he narrated this dream, all

00:01:08 --> 00:01:11

of the companions prepared themselves to visit the

00:01:11 --> 00:01:11

Kaaba.

00:01:11 --> 00:01:14

Thus, Raul Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam set out with

00:01:14 --> 00:01:17

a large body of companions to perform Umrah.

00:01:17 --> 00:01:19

And so once he narrated the dream to

00:01:19 --> 00:01:20

them,

00:01:20 --> 00:01:21

Radhiallahu anhum,

00:01:22 --> 00:01:23

they knew that it was the Haqqan that

00:01:23 --> 00:01:25

would come to pass because

00:01:26 --> 00:01:28

the dreams of the righteous,

00:01:29 --> 00:01:30

people of the Ummah,

00:01:31 --> 00:01:32

they are true,

00:01:33 --> 00:01:33

but

00:01:34 --> 00:01:36

need to be processed through the

00:01:37 --> 00:01:39

lens of interpreting metaphor.

00:01:40 --> 00:01:42

Meaning a righteous person from this Ummah, man

00:01:42 --> 00:01:44

or woman, may see a dream, but it

00:01:44 --> 00:01:46

needs to be put through the lens of

00:01:46 --> 00:01:47

symbols,

00:01:48 --> 00:01:48

what what

00:01:49 --> 00:01:51

what was seen, who is the person seeing

00:01:51 --> 00:01:52

them, and what do those symbols mean to

00:01:52 --> 00:01:55

that person in order to understand what that

00:01:55 --> 00:01:56

that dream means.

00:01:57 --> 00:01:59

And even then, it's, I guess, more of

00:01:59 --> 00:02:00

an art than a science.

00:02:00 --> 00:02:03

However, the prophet, alayhi, musalata, salam,

00:02:03 --> 00:02:04

their,

00:02:05 --> 00:02:06

inner state is,

00:02:07 --> 00:02:10

perfectly in tune with the haqq, and it

00:02:10 --> 00:02:12

is perfectly describable through

00:02:12 --> 00:02:13

sidiqh,

00:02:13 --> 00:02:14

through through,

00:02:15 --> 00:02:19

veracity and being true. So their dreams are

00:02:19 --> 00:02:21

true in the literal state, meaning there is

00:02:21 --> 00:02:21

no

00:02:22 --> 00:02:25

there's no lens that, or prism through which

00:02:25 --> 00:02:26

those dreams are

00:02:27 --> 00:02:29

seen in the dream state in a way

00:02:29 --> 00:02:30

that's different

00:02:30 --> 00:02:31

than the literal

00:02:32 --> 00:02:34

reality. So they knew that this was something

00:02:34 --> 00:02:35

that was a wahi.

00:02:35 --> 00:02:37

It was a revelation, and it was going

00:02:37 --> 00:02:39

to happen. It was going to come to

00:02:39 --> 00:02:39

pass.

00:02:40 --> 00:02:42

The first camp was put up by

00:02:43 --> 00:02:44

which is,

00:02:44 --> 00:02:45

the,

00:02:45 --> 00:02:46

Masnoon

00:02:47 --> 00:02:47

of the

00:02:49 --> 00:02:50

prophet out of all of the Muakid. It's

00:02:50 --> 00:02:53

the one that's most distant from Maqamukarama

00:02:54 --> 00:02:55

by, by quite a ways, maybe 4 or

00:02:55 --> 00:02:57

5 times more distant than the other ones.

00:02:58 --> 00:02:59

And, it's actually

00:03:00 --> 00:03:01

right at the end of the Haram of

00:03:01 --> 00:03:04

Madinah Munawara. There's a Haram Labateiha

00:03:04 --> 00:03:05

Haramun,

00:03:05 --> 00:03:07

the the area and the valley,

00:03:07 --> 00:03:10

the 2 rocky lava tracks that that

00:03:11 --> 00:03:14

that are on either, east or west of

00:03:14 --> 00:03:14

Madinah Munawara,

00:03:16 --> 00:03:18

and the mountains that that cover them from

00:03:18 --> 00:03:20

the south. Once you leave the the,

00:03:21 --> 00:03:21

the Labatein,

00:03:22 --> 00:03:25

the, the Haram of the Madinah Munawara, That's

00:03:25 --> 00:03:25

where

00:03:26 --> 00:03:28

the is and that's where people will take

00:03:28 --> 00:03:29

the Haram to this day who leave from

00:03:29 --> 00:03:32

Madinah Munawara in order to visit the house

00:03:32 --> 00:03:33

of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

00:03:34 --> 00:03:37

From here, Biser bin Abhisafian was dispatched to

00:03:37 --> 00:03:40

reconnoiter the situation in Mecca. After having accomplished

00:03:40 --> 00:03:42

his mission, he met the messenger of Allah

00:03:42 --> 00:03:42

at

00:03:43 --> 00:03:44

Asan.

00:03:44 --> 00:03:45

He

00:03:45 --> 00:03:47

informed the he informed the prophet

00:03:47 --> 00:03:50

that the Kufar of Mecca were making preparations

00:03:50 --> 00:03:52

for war to prevent the Muslims from entering

00:03:52 --> 00:03:55

Mecca. While still at Asfan, the most noble

00:03:55 --> 00:03:56

prophet

00:03:57 --> 00:03:58

told the Sahaba

00:03:58 --> 00:04:00

that Khalid bin Walid,

00:04:00 --> 00:04:02

who is not yet a Muslim,

00:04:02 --> 00:04:04

had arrived at the valley of Hamim in,

00:04:05 --> 00:04:08

on a reconnoitering mission. He therefore instructed the

00:04:08 --> 00:04:10

companions to follow another route. He then called

00:04:10 --> 00:04:11

for a guide.

00:04:12 --> 00:04:14

Saying the Hamza bin Amir Al Aslami volunteered

00:04:15 --> 00:04:17

the Sahaba Radi Allahu on whom were then

00:04:17 --> 00:04:20

led by him through torturous mountain terrain.

00:04:21 --> 00:04:23

The most noble prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam

00:04:23 --> 00:04:24

ordered the

00:04:25 --> 00:04:26

to recite,

00:04:30 --> 00:04:33

We seek forgiveness from Allah most high when

00:04:33 --> 00:04:34

we turn to him in repentance.

00:04:35 --> 00:04:37

And these are the these are the the

00:04:38 --> 00:04:39

that the prophet

00:04:39 --> 00:04:42

gave to the Sahaba radiAllahu ta'ala on whom

00:04:42 --> 00:04:44

other than just being pious words,

00:04:44 --> 00:04:46

this is part of the the knowledge of

00:04:46 --> 00:04:47

the prophet of

00:04:48 --> 00:04:51

how to say those things, to Allah and

00:04:51 --> 00:04:51

call upon

00:04:52 --> 00:04:54

Allah through those words that please him and

00:04:54 --> 00:04:56

that garner his help and his assistance.

00:04:57 --> 00:04:58

The Sahaba

00:05:00 --> 00:05:03

repeatedly recited these words. The messenger of Allah

00:05:04 --> 00:05:06

said that when these words were presented to

00:05:06 --> 00:05:08

the, children of Israel,

00:05:08 --> 00:05:10

they refused to recite them.

00:05:10 --> 00:05:12

He also ordered them to walk on the

00:05:12 --> 00:05:14

right side, on the right right side of

00:05:14 --> 00:05:17

the path. And so through their recitation of

00:05:17 --> 00:05:18

these words,

00:05:18 --> 00:05:21

they were given something, a prize that was

00:05:21 --> 00:05:22

offered to the Banu Israel,

00:05:23 --> 00:05:25

but through their abstinence, they they they refused

00:05:25 --> 00:05:28

to take it and therefore they didn't benefit

00:05:28 --> 00:05:30

from it. At this juncture, the Messenger of

00:05:30 --> 00:05:32

Allah salallahu alaihi wa sallam consulted his

00:05:33 --> 00:05:35

companions. Said Abu Bakr the allahu anhu was

00:05:35 --> 00:05:37

of the opinion to refrain from all hostility

00:05:37 --> 00:05:38

unless attacked.

00:05:39 --> 00:05:40

He said since the motive of the journey

00:05:40 --> 00:05:42

was not to fight, they should continue.

00:05:42 --> 00:05:44

If prevented by the Kufar,

00:05:45 --> 00:05:47

then only should measures be taken to repulse

00:05:47 --> 00:05:49

them. The messenger of Allah

00:05:50 --> 00:05:51

approved of this advice.

00:05:51 --> 00:05:54

Finally, the party of the companions reached.

00:05:55 --> 00:05:56

Here, they were met by

00:05:57 --> 00:06:00

accompanied by a group of men. He informed

00:06:00 --> 00:06:01

the messenger of Allah

00:06:02 --> 00:06:03

that the people of Mecca were

00:06:04 --> 00:06:06

preparing to intercept the party and prevent the

00:06:06 --> 00:06:08

Muslims from entering Mecca.

00:06:08 --> 00:06:09

The messenger of

00:06:11 --> 00:06:14

Allah sent to inform the Kufar of Mecca

00:06:14 --> 00:06:15

that the motive for coming was not to

00:06:15 --> 00:06:18

fight, rather their intention was only to perform

00:06:18 --> 00:06:19

umrah.

00:06:20 --> 00:06:23

The Kufar, however, rejected the messenger

00:06:23 --> 00:06:24

of Allah

00:06:25 --> 00:06:28

request for peaceful entry and permission to perform

00:06:28 --> 00:06:28

umrah.

00:06:29 --> 00:06:29

Said, no Uthman

00:06:31 --> 00:06:32

was sent as an envoy to negotiate a

00:06:32 --> 00:06:34

peace treaty with the Kfar,

00:06:34 --> 00:06:36

But to Quresh were adamant in their refusal.

00:06:37 --> 00:06:39

They flatly refused permission for the messenger of

00:06:39 --> 00:06:39

Allah,

00:06:41 --> 00:06:44

to enter Mecca, although they consented to Sayidna

00:06:44 --> 00:06:46

Uthman or the Allahu Anhu performing Umrah if

00:06:46 --> 00:06:47

he so desired.

00:06:47 --> 00:06:49

However, Sayidna Uthman, may Allah ta'ala be pleased

00:06:49 --> 00:06:51

with him, refused to perform umrah without the

00:06:51 --> 00:06:52

messenger of Allah.

00:06:54 --> 00:06:55

This is the this is the,

00:06:56 --> 00:06:57

adab of

00:06:58 --> 00:06:58

how,

00:06:59 --> 00:07:01

the Sahaba were with the messenger of Allah

00:07:02 --> 00:07:04

and also the adab of how a disciple

00:07:04 --> 00:07:05

should be with his sheikh.

00:07:06 --> 00:07:06

That

00:07:08 --> 00:07:10

he was thinking of the group and he

00:07:10 --> 00:07:12

was thinking of the bigger picture and he

00:07:12 --> 00:07:14

was thinking of his,

00:07:15 --> 00:07:16

connection with,

00:07:17 --> 00:07:19

the messenger of Allah and with other Sahaba

00:07:20 --> 00:07:22

not merely using them for

00:07:22 --> 00:07:24

as an instrument for personal

00:07:26 --> 00:07:28

gratification, like some sort of free public service

00:07:28 --> 00:07:30

or some sort of entitlement.

00:07:30 --> 00:07:31

Rather,

00:07:32 --> 00:07:32

he felt,

00:07:33 --> 00:07:35

loyalty and wafaa to the messenger of Allah

00:07:35 --> 00:07:37

sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. Although he could have

00:07:37 --> 00:07:39

gone and performed his Umrah and said it's

00:07:39 --> 00:07:41

just an act of Ibadah anyway, but the

00:07:41 --> 00:07:42

fact that the messenger of Allah

00:07:43 --> 00:07:44

would be barred from it and that he

00:07:44 --> 00:07:46

would indulge in it, it it was something

00:07:46 --> 00:07:49

that inside of him he didn't tolerate. May

00:07:49 --> 00:07:50

Allah be pleased with him.

00:07:52 --> 00:07:53

The negotiations were prolonged.

00:07:54 --> 00:07:56

A rumor had spread amongst the Muslims that

00:07:56 --> 00:07:57

Sayna Uthman was

00:07:58 --> 00:07:58

martyred.

00:07:59 --> 00:07:59

The Sahaba

00:08:00 --> 00:08:01

and the most noble prophet

00:08:02 --> 00:08:04

were greatly grieved and perturbed.

00:08:04 --> 00:08:06

In consequence of this rumor, the messenger of

00:08:06 --> 00:08:07

Allah

00:08:08 --> 00:08:10

sat under a tree and took a pledge

00:08:10 --> 00:08:12

from all of the companions to avenge the

00:08:12 --> 00:08:13

murder of Saidna Uthman.

00:08:14 --> 00:08:16

The name of this, pledge was the Bayatur

00:08:16 --> 00:08:17

Ridwan,

00:08:18 --> 00:08:19

meaning the

00:08:19 --> 00:08:21

the the oath of the pleasure of Allah.

00:08:22 --> 00:08:24

When the kuffar learned of this pledge, they

00:08:24 --> 00:08:26

quickly sent sent their envoy to negotiate a

00:08:26 --> 00:08:27

peace treaty.

00:08:28 --> 00:08:30

You see this this situation was going to

00:08:30 --> 00:08:32

fall apart because the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa

00:08:32 --> 00:08:35

sallam having come in pilgrim garb to Maqamukarama,

00:08:36 --> 00:08:38

and by this time, they're all in Haram.

00:08:39 --> 00:08:40

This was,

00:08:41 --> 00:08:43

you know, an exposition of the nifaq and

00:08:43 --> 00:08:45

the, hypocrisy of Kufr

00:08:46 --> 00:08:49

that, the the Mushrikeens, you know, they said

00:08:49 --> 00:08:51

that, oh, look. You know, we're,

00:08:51 --> 00:08:53

we're the host of the pilgrims. We're the

00:08:53 --> 00:08:56

host of the guests of Allah and the

00:08:56 --> 00:08:58

holy and sacred guardians of the Kaaba.

00:09:00 --> 00:09:02

And we're the ones who host the guests

00:09:02 --> 00:09:02

of Allah

00:09:03 --> 00:09:05

And so here's a bunch of people who

00:09:05 --> 00:09:07

are in pilgrim garb and they're barring them

00:09:07 --> 00:09:07

from from entering.

00:09:08 --> 00:09:09

On top of that,

00:09:09 --> 00:09:10

they've,

00:09:10 --> 00:09:12

you know, they've met the

00:09:13 --> 00:09:14

in battle as well.

00:09:14 --> 00:09:15

And when

00:09:16 --> 00:09:17

they heard news of the oath,

00:09:18 --> 00:09:20

fear entered their hearts that these are people

00:09:20 --> 00:09:22

you don't wanna mix it up with. Every

00:09:22 --> 00:09:23

time we mix it up with them, the

00:09:23 --> 00:09:25

sting is is is too much.

00:09:26 --> 00:09:26

So

00:09:27 --> 00:09:29

they saw this show of force, which was

00:09:29 --> 00:09:31

essentially a show of spiritual force, but it

00:09:31 --> 00:09:34

scared them. It scared them also with regards

00:09:34 --> 00:09:35

to their military,

00:09:36 --> 00:09:37

and and and worldly,

00:09:37 --> 00:09:38

worldly position.

00:09:42 --> 00:09:45

Rasulullah accepted every condition proposed by the Kfar

00:09:45 --> 00:09:47

in the treaty in spite of these conditions

00:09:47 --> 00:09:50

being clearly prejudicial and humiliating to the Muslims.

00:09:51 --> 00:09:51

The companions

00:09:52 --> 00:09:54

in fact were not prepared to accept these

00:09:54 --> 00:09:54

condition

00:09:55 --> 00:09:57

these conditions and were determined to fight. But

00:09:57 --> 00:09:58

the kuffar again

00:09:59 --> 00:10:00

exhibited their intransigence.

00:10:02 --> 00:10:04

As an example of their pettiness was the

00:10:04 --> 00:10:06

rejection of the words

00:10:07 --> 00:10:09

being written on the treaty document.

00:10:09 --> 00:10:12

They said that they were not aware of

00:10:12 --> 00:10:14

who Ar Rahman was. Ar Rahman is one

00:10:14 --> 00:10:15

of the names of Allah that

00:10:16 --> 00:10:19

the Arabs were, not familiar with even though

00:10:19 --> 00:10:22

the name Ar Rahman is, is used in

00:10:22 --> 00:10:23

the in the Torah.

00:10:24 --> 00:10:27

They insisted on writing their customary invocation of

00:10:27 --> 00:10:28

Bismik Allahumma,

00:10:29 --> 00:10:30

in your name, oh Allah.

00:10:30 --> 00:10:33

They further rejected the inclusion of the phrase

00:10:33 --> 00:10:34

Muhammad Ur Rasulullah,

00:10:35 --> 00:10:38

sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the Mohammed, the messenger

00:10:38 --> 00:10:40

of Allah. Suhail bin Amer, who was the

00:10:40 --> 00:10:42

Kfar scribe recording the terms of the treaty,

00:10:42 --> 00:10:42

said, if

00:10:43 --> 00:10:44

we accept you as the messenger of Allah,

00:10:44 --> 00:10:46

then there will be no dispute in the

00:10:46 --> 00:10:49

first place. We shall not agree to you

00:10:49 --> 00:10:51

writing the messenger of Allah in the treaty

00:10:51 --> 00:10:53

rather write Muhammad, the son of Abdullah.

00:10:53 --> 00:10:54

The messenger of Allah

00:10:55 --> 00:10:58

replied by Allah, I am the messenger of

00:10:58 --> 00:11:00

Allah regardless of how much you deny it.

00:11:00 --> 00:11:02

And this is another,

00:11:03 --> 00:11:05

sign of the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi

00:11:05 --> 00:11:07

wa sallam's Sufik virtue,

00:11:07 --> 00:11:08

that he was

00:11:09 --> 00:11:11

less concerned with

00:11:11 --> 00:11:12

the,

00:11:13 --> 00:11:14

with the

00:11:16 --> 00:11:18

pleasure of the person who was in front

00:11:18 --> 00:11:19

of him,

00:11:19 --> 00:11:21

and more concerned with the pleasure of Allah

00:11:21 --> 00:11:24

and less concerned with being conflict averse

00:11:24 --> 00:11:25

and,

00:11:25 --> 00:11:27

more concerned with,

00:11:27 --> 00:11:30

proclaiming the truth. This truth being an absolute

00:11:30 --> 00:11:31

truth.

00:11:31 --> 00:11:33

And many of us, we think of somebody

00:11:33 --> 00:11:35

who, at this point, would say something like

00:11:35 --> 00:11:36

this as being contrarian.

00:11:36 --> 00:11:37

And if it has to do with, you

00:11:37 --> 00:11:39

know, something like your favorite sports team or

00:11:39 --> 00:11:42

your favorite, you know, flavor of, ice cream

00:11:42 --> 00:11:44

or your favorite toppings on a pizza,

00:11:44 --> 00:11:47

then yes, it's bad adab in its bad,

00:11:47 --> 00:11:48

form to

00:11:48 --> 00:11:49

to to be,

00:11:50 --> 00:11:53

so, brashly outspoken about it. But when it

00:11:53 --> 00:11:55

has to do with such a fundamental Haqq,

00:11:55 --> 00:11:58

the the the fact that the prophet sallallahu

00:11:58 --> 00:11:59

alaihi wa sama is the Rasulullah of Allah

00:11:59 --> 00:12:02

subhanahu wa ta'ala is one of the fundamental

00:12:02 --> 00:12:05

truth that the entire material universe's existence is

00:12:05 --> 00:12:07

is is contingent on. In those things, the

00:12:07 --> 00:12:08

messenger

00:12:09 --> 00:12:11

those few things he used to not,

00:12:11 --> 00:12:15

he used to not beat around the bush.

00:12:15 --> 00:12:17

He then instructed Sayedna Ali

00:12:18 --> 00:12:19

who was who was the scribe of the

00:12:19 --> 00:12:22

Muslims to delete the words messenger of Allah

00:12:22 --> 00:12:24

and write Muhammad bin Abdullahi

00:12:26 --> 00:12:28

Sayna Ali declared his inability,

00:12:29 --> 00:12:30

to effect this deletion.

00:12:30 --> 00:12:32

The most noble prophet

00:12:33 --> 00:12:34

then erased the words himself

00:12:35 --> 00:12:38

and, had the words Mohammed bin Abdullah,

00:12:39 --> 00:12:40

substituted. May the peace and blessings of Allah

00:12:40 --> 00:12:44

be upon him. Ultimately, after considerable bickering and

00:12:44 --> 00:12:44

obstinacy,

00:12:45 --> 00:12:47

on the part of the Kuffar, the treaty

00:12:47 --> 00:12:49

was finalized. The following were amongst the terms

00:12:49 --> 00:12:50

of the treaty.

00:12:51 --> 00:12:53

One, the Muslims should go back this year

00:12:53 --> 00:12:54

without performing Umrah.

00:12:54 --> 00:12:56

2, they would be allowed,

00:12:56 --> 00:12:58

to come the following year only for 3

00:12:58 --> 00:12:59

days.

00:12:59 --> 00:13:01

3, all warfare was to cease for 10

00:13:01 --> 00:13:04

years. 4, any member of the Quraish who

00:13:04 --> 00:13:06

having embraced Islam seeks asylum with the Muslims

00:13:06 --> 00:13:07

of Madinah Munawara.

00:13:10 --> 00:13:13

That person should be returned to Makkah immediately.

00:13:13 --> 00:13:15

However, if any Muslim, comes to Makkah, he

00:13:15 --> 00:13:17

should not be returned to Madinah or sent

00:13:17 --> 00:13:18

to Medina.

00:13:19 --> 00:13:20

It is obvious that these conditions were all

00:13:20 --> 00:13:21

in favor of the Kuffar.

00:13:22 --> 00:13:24

All of the companions, especially Sayidna Umar

00:13:26 --> 00:13:29

were enraged by these unjust terms. Nevertheless, the

00:13:29 --> 00:13:30

treaty was ratified

00:13:30 --> 00:13:33

with the signatures of both parties. Thus, Rasoolullah

00:13:33 --> 00:13:36

salallahu alayhi wa sallam returned with the Sahaba

00:13:36 --> 00:13:38

radiallahu anhu without performing umrah.

00:13:38 --> 00:13:40

The dream which the messenger of Allah salallahu

00:13:40 --> 00:13:43

alaihi wa sallam had seen was undoubtedly true,

00:13:43 --> 00:13:44

and in fact, it did materialize.

00:13:45 --> 00:13:47

Since the time and year of the predicted,

00:13:47 --> 00:13:49

umrah were not specified in the dream. It

00:13:49 --> 00:13:51

was not necessary for the dream to have

00:13:51 --> 00:13:52

materialized that very year.

00:13:53 --> 00:13:56

The authenticity of the dream therefore remains unassailable.

00:13:56 --> 00:13:58

And this is this is important because there

00:13:58 --> 00:14:00

are many people, you know, they they pray

00:14:00 --> 00:14:01

and pray and they say, oh god, Allah

00:14:01 --> 00:14:02

didn't

00:14:02 --> 00:14:04

answer my prayers. And

00:14:05 --> 00:14:07

Allah answers your prayers, not only does he

00:14:07 --> 00:14:09

guarantee that he answers your prayers, but he

00:14:09 --> 00:14:11

answers your prayers in the best way.

00:14:12 --> 00:14:13

Sometimes we ask for things and they're not

00:14:13 --> 00:14:15

good for us, and Allah protects us from

00:14:15 --> 00:14:17

them. Or sometimes we ask for things and

00:14:17 --> 00:14:18

we want them quickly and they won't be

00:14:18 --> 00:14:20

good for us if they're given quickly, but

00:14:20 --> 00:14:21

Allah will give it to us at the

00:14:21 --> 00:14:24

right time. Or may maybe we ask for

00:14:24 --> 00:14:25

things that will never be good for us

00:14:25 --> 00:14:27

and Allah ta'ala will give us the the

00:14:27 --> 00:14:29

result of those prayers in the hereafter.

00:14:30 --> 00:14:32

It's only because of our our our lack

00:14:32 --> 00:14:33

of trust in Allah

00:14:33 --> 00:14:35

that we cannot see that. And Said Abu

00:14:35 --> 00:14:36

Bakr Siddiq

00:14:38 --> 00:14:39

he's the one who,

00:14:41 --> 00:14:43

who who says that that this was the

00:14:43 --> 00:14:45

occasion in which the verses

00:14:47 --> 00:14:48

indeed, we had,

00:14:49 --> 00:14:51

opened for you a great opening or a

00:14:51 --> 00:14:51

great victory.

00:14:52 --> 00:14:54

They were revealed at this time,

00:14:54 --> 00:14:55

and

00:14:56 --> 00:14:59

and people didn't understand what they meant until

00:14:59 --> 00:15:01

later on, when

00:15:01 --> 00:15:03

would be conquered by the army of the

00:15:03 --> 00:15:06

Sahaba radiallahu anhu. Said Abu Bakr Siddiq radiallahu

00:15:06 --> 00:15:08

anhu, his insight was what? Was that when

00:15:08 --> 00:15:11

that day came, he realized that that victory

00:15:11 --> 00:15:13

wasn't the didn't belong to the day of

00:15:13 --> 00:15:15

the fat. Rather, that that victory belonged to

00:15:15 --> 00:15:17

the day that they signed this treaty. And

00:15:17 --> 00:15:19

this is something that we have to understand.

00:15:19 --> 00:15:20

Many times people will,

00:15:21 --> 00:15:23

especially those who argue against the people of

00:15:23 --> 00:15:24

Haqq,

00:15:25 --> 00:15:27

and and they they put on these kind

00:15:27 --> 00:15:28

of, like, silly,

00:15:28 --> 00:15:29

pretenses,

00:15:29 --> 00:15:31

and they'll do things like what the

00:15:31 --> 00:15:34

of Quresh did, like ask for unfavorable terms

00:15:34 --> 00:15:35

in the agreement.

00:15:36 --> 00:15:37

Sometimes if we can step away from our

00:15:37 --> 00:15:39

egos just a little bit,

00:15:39 --> 00:15:42

we can understand that that like the prophet

00:15:42 --> 00:15:43

did.

00:15:44 --> 00:15:46

And and and that's something that that he

00:15:46 --> 00:15:48

taught the ummah. I mean, if anyone does

00:15:48 --> 00:15:49

it afterwards, it's only because they were taught

00:15:49 --> 00:15:52

by the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. If

00:15:52 --> 00:15:53

you can step away from yourself just for

00:15:53 --> 00:15:55

a minute, you realize that,

00:15:55 --> 00:15:58

look, it's unfavorable that the,

00:15:58 --> 00:15:59

say that

00:15:59 --> 00:16:02

that that whoever whichever Muslim goes to Madinah

00:16:02 --> 00:16:03

Munawara

00:16:03 --> 00:16:05

has to be sent back to, Makkah Mukarama,

00:16:06 --> 00:16:08

but whoever whichever Muslim goes to Makkah doesn't

00:16:08 --> 00:16:10

have to be sent back to Madinah. It

00:16:10 --> 00:16:11

seems unfavorable,

00:16:12 --> 00:16:14

on the face of it. But who's gonna

00:16:14 --> 00:16:15

be like, oh, yeah. I'm praying 5 times

00:16:15 --> 00:16:17

a day, but I now I wanna go

00:16:17 --> 00:16:19

back to worshiping Lot and Arza and,

00:16:19 --> 00:16:21

you know, making sajdah in front of stone

00:16:21 --> 00:16:23

and wood. No one's gonna do it. So

00:16:23 --> 00:16:23

practically,

00:16:25 --> 00:16:26

practically,

00:16:26 --> 00:16:28

it's just a face saving measure. And the

00:16:28 --> 00:16:30

fact that the mushrikeen even would ask for

00:16:30 --> 00:16:33

it was a sign of their own, of

00:16:33 --> 00:16:34

their own weakness,

00:16:35 --> 00:16:37

in this position, and that they needed to

00:16:37 --> 00:16:38

have these kind of,

00:16:39 --> 00:16:40

measures in effect to save face.

00:16:41 --> 00:16:43

And, Hazar Sheikh will actually explain in just

00:16:43 --> 00:16:46

a second how, those terms are not only

00:16:46 --> 00:16:48

neutral, but they actually worked against the.

00:16:49 --> 00:16:51

This is the inside of the messenger of

00:16:51 --> 00:16:51

Allah

00:16:52 --> 00:16:54

which is only possible by,

00:16:54 --> 00:16:56

you know, by the the grace and blessing

00:16:56 --> 00:16:57

of humility from

00:16:59 --> 00:17:01

Allah in order to see through,

00:17:01 --> 00:17:03

you know, the the surface level meanings of

00:17:03 --> 00:17:05

words and into the deep realities that are

00:17:05 --> 00:17:06

behind them,

00:17:07 --> 00:17:09

with regards to the the the terms of

00:17:09 --> 00:17:10

the treaty.

00:17:11 --> 00:17:14

Hazar Sheykh continues many events had transpired during

00:17:14 --> 00:17:16

the course of the enactment of this treaty.

00:17:16 --> 00:17:19

2 significant episodes will be recorded here. From

00:17:19 --> 00:17:20

these two events,

00:17:21 --> 00:17:21

illustrate

00:17:22 --> 00:17:24

will be illustrated the extent to which the

00:17:24 --> 00:17:26

Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam went

00:17:26 --> 00:17:26

in,

00:17:27 --> 00:17:28

to the pledge,

00:17:28 --> 00:17:31

honoring it, and also the devotion of the

00:17:31 --> 00:17:31

companions

00:17:32 --> 00:17:33

to him.

00:17:43 --> 00:17:45

He had embraced Islam and he was being

00:17:45 --> 00:17:46

held in captivity,

00:17:47 --> 00:17:49

by the Kufar and Mecca, namely by his

00:17:49 --> 00:17:51

father. He was kept in chains. He wanted

00:17:51 --> 00:17:53

to make Hijra at Madinah Munawara more than

00:17:53 --> 00:17:55

anything. And so when his father saw that

00:17:55 --> 00:17:58

the Muslims are making Hijra, he tricked his

00:17:58 --> 00:17:58

son,

00:17:59 --> 00:18:01

into coming home and had him chained.

00:18:02 --> 00:18:05

He was still enchained and being tortured. He

00:18:05 --> 00:18:07

managed to escape from prison.

00:18:07 --> 00:18:09

Still in fetters, he stumbled upon to the

00:18:09 --> 00:18:11

upon the Muslim camp believing that he had

00:18:11 --> 00:18:11

reached safety.

00:18:12 --> 00:18:14

Suhail, who was the Kfar's delegate in delegate

00:18:14 --> 00:18:16

in the negotiation of the treaty was Abu

00:18:16 --> 00:18:19

Jandal's father. He slapped his son and insisted

00:18:19 --> 00:18:21

on taking him back into captivity. Rasulullah

00:18:23 --> 00:18:25

responded that the treaty had not yet been

00:18:25 --> 00:18:25

finalized.

00:18:26 --> 00:18:28

The terms were therefore not yet enforced.

00:18:28 --> 00:18:30

However, Suhail was adamant.

00:18:30 --> 00:18:32

Abu Jandal well exclaimed that he had embraced

00:18:32 --> 00:18:34

Islam and narrated the hardships to which he

00:18:34 --> 00:18:35

was subjected.

00:18:35 --> 00:18:37

And this was in front of the entire

00:18:37 --> 00:18:39

encampment of Sahaba, not just in front of

00:18:39 --> 00:18:40

the prophet

00:18:40 --> 00:18:41

and his father.

00:18:42 --> 00:18:44

And it was a gut wrenching experience for

00:18:44 --> 00:18:45

all all all of them.

00:18:46 --> 00:18:48

Abu Jandal explained that he had embraced

00:18:48 --> 00:18:49

Islam,

00:18:50 --> 00:18:52

and narrated the hardships to which he was

00:18:52 --> 00:18:52

subjected.

00:18:52 --> 00:18:54

Only Allah is aware of his grief,

00:18:55 --> 00:18:57

the grief and anger which crossed the hearts

00:18:57 --> 00:18:59

of the Muslims upon hearing, his story.

00:19:00 --> 00:19:02

But on the instruction of the messenger of

00:19:02 --> 00:19:04

Allah, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, said Abu Jannah

00:19:04 --> 00:19:07

was returned to the Kfar. Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi

00:19:07 --> 00:19:09

wa sallam consoled Abu Janda and exhorted him

00:19:09 --> 00:19:11

to, adopt patients,

00:19:12 --> 00:19:14

adding that soon Allah will be opening an

00:19:14 --> 00:19:16

avenue for him. After the finalization

00:19:16 --> 00:19:19

of the treaty, another Sahabi, Abu Basir, who

00:19:19 --> 00:19:22

had embraced Islam, had arrived in Madinah Munawara.

00:19:22 --> 00:19:24

And Abu Basir was not like, you know,

00:19:24 --> 00:19:25

he was not like a normal,

00:19:26 --> 00:19:27

he was not like a normal person even

00:19:27 --> 00:19:29

for the standards of those days.

00:19:30 --> 00:19:31

He was a he was a pretty rough

00:19:31 --> 00:19:32

and tough,

00:19:33 --> 00:19:35

person and he was

00:19:35 --> 00:19:37

a a a a man of chivalrous and

00:19:37 --> 00:19:38

heroic virtue,

00:19:39 --> 00:19:42

and not one that could be easily, easily

00:19:42 --> 00:19:43

kept down in battle.

00:19:45 --> 00:19:46

He arrived in Madinah Munawwara.

00:19:47 --> 00:19:49

The Kuffar sent 2 men to bring him

00:19:49 --> 00:19:50

back. In terms of the treaty, the messenger

00:19:50 --> 00:19:52

of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam,

00:19:53 --> 00:19:55

returned Abu Basir who said, oh, Rasool Allah,

00:19:55 --> 00:19:57

I have embraced Islam and have come to

00:19:57 --> 00:19:59

you. Are you returning me into the closet

00:19:59 --> 00:20:00

of the Kfar?

00:20:00 --> 00:20:01

The messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam

00:20:02 --> 00:20:04

also also advised him to adopt patience adding

00:20:04 --> 00:20:06

that soon Allah would open a way for

00:20:06 --> 00:20:08

him. Said Abu Basir was led back into

00:20:08 --> 00:20:10

the custody of these 2

00:20:11 --> 00:20:11

along,

00:20:12 --> 00:20:14

the way back to Makkah Mukarama, he flattered

00:20:14 --> 00:20:15

one of the guards and praised the quality

00:20:15 --> 00:20:18

of his sword. The guard feeling flattered removed

00:20:18 --> 00:20:20

his sword from the scabbard and boasted, I

00:20:20 --> 00:20:21

have practiced with it on many people.

00:20:22 --> 00:20:24

So saying, he handed the sword to Abu

00:20:24 --> 00:20:27

Basir. Taking the sword, Abu Basir, swiftly disposed

00:20:27 --> 00:20:29

of the guard. When the other guard saw

00:20:29 --> 00:20:31

what had happened, he took flight.

00:20:31 --> 00:20:33

He was he went straight to Medina and

00:20:33 --> 00:20:35

lodged a complaint with the messenger of Allah

00:20:36 --> 00:20:37

Saidna'Ubbasir

00:20:37 --> 00:20:39

appeared on the scene and said, oh, messenger

00:20:39 --> 00:20:40

of Allah,

00:20:40 --> 00:20:42

you have returned your pledge, you have honored

00:20:42 --> 00:20:45

your pledge by returning me. I have no

00:20:45 --> 00:20:47

pact with them, hence I'm not responsible to

00:20:47 --> 00:20:49

them for anything. They have attempted to force

00:20:49 --> 00:20:50

me from my deen, hence I have done

00:20:50 --> 00:20:52

this. The messenger of Allah

00:20:53 --> 00:20:55

said that this incident could spark a war.

00:20:57 --> 00:21:00

Would that and he then remarked, would that

00:21:00 --> 00:21:02

Abu Basir had a helper in his cause?

00:21:02 --> 00:21:05

Abu Basir understood the implication of the statement.

00:21:05 --> 00:21:07

If the Kufar came for him, he would

00:21:07 --> 00:21:09

again be handed over. He thus left and

00:21:09 --> 00:21:11

set up his hideout along the seashore.

00:21:12 --> 00:21:15

So Abu Basir was now, technically the charge

00:21:15 --> 00:21:17

of the Mushrikeen of Makkamukarama,

00:21:18 --> 00:21:19

and the Rasool

00:21:20 --> 00:21:22

had absolutely no responsibility for him because he

00:21:22 --> 00:21:25

was handed up, handed out to the kuffar

00:21:25 --> 00:21:26

when they asked for him and they were

00:21:26 --> 00:21:28

unable to to handle him. Rasulullah

00:21:29 --> 00:21:31

made it, clear to him that he wasn't

00:21:31 --> 00:21:33

able to stay in Madinah Munawara with the

00:21:33 --> 00:21:33

Muslims.

00:21:34 --> 00:21:34

Uh-uh.

00:21:35 --> 00:21:36

However, uh-uh,

00:21:36 --> 00:21:38

he was free to do whatever,

00:21:39 --> 00:21:41

essentially he needed to do in order to

00:21:41 --> 00:21:42

protect himself.

00:21:43 --> 00:21:44

So he went to

00:21:44 --> 00:21:45

a

00:21:45 --> 00:21:48

place near the Red Sea and set up

00:21:48 --> 00:21:49

a hideout.

00:21:49 --> 00:21:52

Meanwhile, Abu Jandal, whose story had already been

00:21:52 --> 00:21:54

narrated, managed to escape from again.

00:21:55 --> 00:21:56

He linked up with Abu Basir.

00:21:57 --> 00:21:59

Thereafter, whoever embraced Islam in Mecca

00:21:59 --> 00:22:01

linked up with these fugitives, and soon there,

00:22:01 --> 00:22:04

they had grown into a sizable group. They

00:22:04 --> 00:22:06

had to bear hardships and an an austere

00:22:06 --> 00:22:08

conditions of living in the wilderness where there

00:22:08 --> 00:22:10

is neither food nor any settlement.

00:22:10 --> 00:22:12

But an avenue had opened for them. They

00:22:12 --> 00:22:15

waylaid every caravan of the cruel Kufar which

00:22:15 --> 00:22:17

passed their way. They fought the Kufar and

00:22:17 --> 00:22:18

captured their merchandise

00:22:19 --> 00:22:19

when

00:22:20 --> 00:22:22

they were occupying a vantage point,

00:22:22 --> 00:22:24

where the caravans of the Kufar had to

00:22:24 --> 00:22:26

pass from, they wrought havoc,

00:22:26 --> 00:22:28

and rendered the Kufar helpless.

00:22:29 --> 00:22:31

Finally, the Kufar of Mecca sent a

00:22:31 --> 00:22:34

an envoy to Madinah Munawwara to appeal to

00:22:34 --> 00:22:36

the messenger of Allah, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.

00:22:36 --> 00:22:38

In the name of Allah and for the

00:22:38 --> 00:22:40

sake of family ties to call this lawless

00:22:40 --> 00:22:42

band to Madinah, for then, at least they

00:22:42 --> 00:22:44

too would come under the scope of this

00:22:44 --> 00:22:46

treaty clearing the way for free movement of

00:22:46 --> 00:22:46

their caravans.

00:22:47 --> 00:22:48

And so this is the the

00:22:49 --> 00:22:50

the the first

00:22:50 --> 00:22:53

example of how the messenger of Allah

00:22:54 --> 00:22:55

having

00:22:55 --> 00:22:57

signed through his humility,

00:22:58 --> 00:23:00

terms that seemed uneven.

00:23:00 --> 00:23:03

Through his humility, he could see how those

00:23:03 --> 00:23:06

terms actually were in his favor. And, Musharikin

00:23:06 --> 00:23:07

themselves then will,

00:23:08 --> 00:23:11

will will cancel those terms from the treaty,

00:23:11 --> 00:23:13

in order to be relieved from, their own

00:23:13 --> 00:23:14

folly.

00:23:15 --> 00:23:16

When the messenger of Allah

00:23:17 --> 00:23:19

letter reached Abu Basir

00:23:30 --> 00:23:31

to Madinah Munawara in his hands.

00:23:33 --> 00:23:35

He he he passed away from this world.

00:23:49 --> 00:23:49

Allah

00:23:50 --> 00:23:51

be pleased with

00:23:52 --> 00:23:54

with the companions of the messenger of Allah.

00:24:17 --> 00:24:19

In the 7th year after the Hidra, the

00:24:19 --> 00:24:22

Jews who had been expelled from Medina Munawara

00:24:22 --> 00:24:24

had settled in a settlement north of Madinah

00:24:24 --> 00:24:25

Munawara

00:24:25 --> 00:24:26

called Khaybar.

00:24:27 --> 00:24:29

Even here, they had involved themselves in conspiracies

00:24:29 --> 00:24:30

against Islam.

00:24:31 --> 00:24:33

They had instigated the kuffar to rise against

00:24:33 --> 00:24:34

the Muslims.

00:24:35 --> 00:24:37

Thus, the battle of Khayr took place in

00:24:37 --> 00:24:38

the 7th year

00:24:39 --> 00:24:41

and put an end to the mischief that

00:24:41 --> 00:24:42

they had caused.

00:24:43 --> 00:24:46

This is also, from the sagacity of the

00:24:46 --> 00:24:48

Messenger of Allah, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, that

00:24:48 --> 00:24:50

Madinah Munawara was exposed by,

00:24:50 --> 00:24:52

exposed on 2 fronts,

00:24:52 --> 00:24:55

by in exposed to 2 enemies. 1 was

00:24:55 --> 00:24:56

the mushrikeen of

00:24:57 --> 00:24:58

Maqamukarama,

00:24:59 --> 00:25:02

and the other was the hostile, Jewish tribes

00:25:02 --> 00:25:03

that inhab inhabited Khaybar.

00:25:04 --> 00:25:05

And both were constantly,

00:25:07 --> 00:25:10

instigating and goading people against the Muslims

00:25:11 --> 00:25:11

and

00:25:12 --> 00:25:14

constantly preparing for war against Madinah Munawwara.

00:25:15 --> 00:25:17

And the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa

00:25:17 --> 00:25:18

sallam

00:25:18 --> 00:25:20

by signing the Treaty of Khaybar against

00:25:21 --> 00:25:22

against 1,

00:25:23 --> 00:25:26

sorry, the Treaty of Hudaybia against, his enemy

00:25:26 --> 00:25:26

to the south,

00:25:27 --> 00:25:29

he opened up for himself a free hand

00:25:29 --> 00:25:31

to deal with the enemy to the north.

00:25:32 --> 00:25:35

On 20th or 21st of Muharram, an army

00:25:35 --> 00:25:38

of 1400 Sahaba, radiAllahu ta'ala, anhu sent off

00:25:39 --> 00:25:40

under the command of the Messenger of Allah

00:25:40 --> 00:25:43

salallahu alayhi wa sallam for Khayr. So Khayr

00:25:43 --> 00:25:44

was a network of fortifications

00:25:45 --> 00:25:46

that were connected to,

00:25:47 --> 00:25:49

that were connected to farms,

00:25:50 --> 00:25:52

because Khyber was an oasis. It had a

00:25:53 --> 00:25:53

natural,

00:25:54 --> 00:25:55

source of water underneath it.

00:25:56 --> 00:25:57

And,

00:25:57 --> 00:26:00

so these fortifications were where the

00:26:00 --> 00:26:02

the the crops and the wealth that was

00:26:02 --> 00:26:03

earned from

00:26:03 --> 00:26:06

the agricultural activities of the oasis were stored.

00:26:06 --> 00:26:07

And

00:26:07 --> 00:26:08

when the prophet

00:26:09 --> 00:26:10

had sent for

00:26:12 --> 00:26:14

for the Muslims and the believers to make

00:26:14 --> 00:26:14

umrah,

00:26:14 --> 00:26:15

only the most

00:26:16 --> 00:26:19

only the most sincere of them answered because

00:26:19 --> 00:26:21

they knew that we're going to be going,

00:26:22 --> 00:26:23

almost completely unarmed,

00:26:24 --> 00:26:25

into the

00:26:27 --> 00:26:30

into the, land, where our where the enemy

00:26:30 --> 00:26:31

has the upper hand

00:26:32 --> 00:26:34

in order to perform an act of worship.

00:26:34 --> 00:26:36

And it was something that only someone who

00:26:36 --> 00:26:38

loved Allah and His Rasool sallallahu alaihi wa

00:26:38 --> 00:26:39

sallam would take that big of a risk

00:26:39 --> 00:26:40

for.

00:26:41 --> 00:26:43

Whereas when the Muslims set out to

00:26:44 --> 00:26:46

march on Khayr, there was a lot of

00:26:46 --> 00:26:47

wealth,

00:26:47 --> 00:26:48

in those fortifications.

00:26:49 --> 00:26:51

So many of those who had given excuses

00:26:52 --> 00:26:55

and held back from performing Umrah, the the

00:26:57 --> 00:26:59

in the first deputation that went to

00:27:00 --> 00:27:03

Hudebia and signed the treaty of Hudebia,

00:27:04 --> 00:27:06

they gave excuses, but now they were ready

00:27:06 --> 00:27:08

to go because they expected that they would

00:27:09 --> 00:27:11

come back enriched with the treasure of the,

00:27:12 --> 00:27:13

of the,

00:27:13 --> 00:27:15

inhabitants of the fortifications of Khayr if they

00:27:15 --> 00:27:16

were

00:27:16 --> 00:27:18

successful. And the messenger of Allah, sallallahu alaihi

00:27:18 --> 00:27:19

wa sallam, refused.

00:27:20 --> 00:27:22

He commanded that only those who were there,

00:27:22 --> 00:27:23

on the

00:27:24 --> 00:27:25

on the attempt to go and make umrah

00:27:25 --> 00:27:28

the year before, only those, Sahaba, were allowed

00:27:28 --> 00:27:31

to come on this, come on this campaign.

00:27:32 --> 00:27:34

All of the forts of Khaybar were captured.

00:27:36 --> 00:27:39

There is the famous incident also

00:27:40 --> 00:27:43

of Saidn Ali radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu,

00:27:44 --> 00:27:47

having jumped the walls of of several fortifications

00:27:48 --> 00:27:49

of Khaybar and opened

00:27:49 --> 00:27:52

the doors from the inside, having fought off,

00:27:52 --> 00:27:53

their defenders.

00:27:54 --> 00:27:56

And also in his heroic virtue,

00:27:56 --> 00:27:59

the the the hero of Khaybar

00:28:01 --> 00:28:03

the hero of Khaybar was a warrior by

00:28:03 --> 00:28:05

the name of Marhab,

00:28:05 --> 00:28:07

and Saidin Ali who,

00:28:08 --> 00:28:11

challenged him in battle and dispatched him on

00:28:11 --> 00:28:13

the battlefield with the help of Allah

00:28:16 --> 00:28:18

When the, Jews of Hebra had lost all

00:28:18 --> 00:28:20

hope, they sued for peace and they offered

00:28:20 --> 00:28:21

to live,

00:28:22 --> 00:28:22

under

00:28:23 --> 00:28:25

a treaty with the Muslims.

00:28:26 --> 00:28:28

They offered to take the Muslims as partners

00:28:28 --> 00:28:29

in their farm.

00:28:30 --> 00:28:32

Since they were experienced farmers, the Jews offered

00:28:32 --> 00:28:34

to do the actual farming while the Muslims

00:28:34 --> 00:28:36

would receive a share of the yield and

00:28:36 --> 00:28:38

tribute. The Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,

00:28:38 --> 00:28:40

being mercy to the worlds,

00:28:41 --> 00:28:42

accepted their offer,

00:28:42 --> 00:28:44

and thus their lives were spared.

00:28:44 --> 00:28:45

Saydah Safia,

00:28:46 --> 00:28:48

the daughter of Hari bint Ahthad,

00:28:49 --> 00:28:51

who was from the progeny of Sayyidnah Harun,

00:28:51 --> 00:28:53

alayhis salam was captured in this battle by

00:28:53 --> 00:28:54

the Muslims.

00:28:54 --> 00:28:55

Rasool Allah Sallallahu

00:28:55 --> 00:28:58

Alaihi Wasallam set her free and

00:28:58 --> 00:28:59

she agreed to marry him.

00:29:00 --> 00:29:02

And the 2 of them were married.

00:29:02 --> 00:29:05

And she also is one of the Umaha

00:29:05 --> 00:29:06

Hadal mumineen Allah

00:29:07 --> 00:29:08

be pleased with her and

00:29:08 --> 00:29:09

send upon her peace.

00:29:14 --> 00:29:16

A kind of a somewhat of a comical

00:29:16 --> 00:29:17

story.

00:29:18 --> 00:29:20

For those of you who have studied in

00:29:20 --> 00:29:22

Pakistan, in the Madars in Pakistan, you know

00:29:22 --> 00:29:24

that, the Pratans are,

00:29:24 --> 00:29:26

They send a very sizable contingent of students

00:29:26 --> 00:29:27

of knowledge. And,

00:29:32 --> 00:29:34

they are renowned to be the descendants of

00:29:34 --> 00:29:35

Banu Israel.

00:29:36 --> 00:29:39

The the the lost tribes of the children

00:29:39 --> 00:29:40

of Israel

00:29:40 --> 00:29:43

in the Babylonian captivity. Some of them resettled

00:29:43 --> 00:29:46

in Central Asia, and the Batans, they they

00:29:46 --> 00:29:47

lay claim to that lineage.

00:29:48 --> 00:29:48

And,

00:29:49 --> 00:29:50

it's something that, even,

00:29:51 --> 00:29:53

Israeli researchers I remember once I was in

00:29:53 --> 00:29:55

Egypt, we got an Israeli channel on cable,

00:29:56 --> 00:29:58

and so I watched a, a documentary that

00:29:58 --> 00:30:01

Israeli researchers, some of them, they they they

00:30:01 --> 00:30:01

accept this,

00:30:02 --> 00:30:04

they accept this claim. At any rate, there

00:30:04 --> 00:30:05

are a number of interesting parts of their

00:30:05 --> 00:30:07

culture that

00:30:07 --> 00:30:09

that sign up that line up with old

00:30:09 --> 00:30:10

biblical tradition

00:30:10 --> 00:30:12

from from the Torah and and from the

00:30:12 --> 00:30:12

old,

00:30:14 --> 00:30:15

from the old scriptures.

00:30:16 --> 00:30:18

So one villager, a very pious and simple

00:30:19 --> 00:30:20

hearted villager,

00:30:20 --> 00:30:22

who is a student of knowledge. Oftentimes, those

00:30:22 --> 00:30:25

simple minded villagers are the most genius of

00:30:25 --> 00:30:27

students too, by the way. Although not always.

00:30:28 --> 00:30:31

But one very, pious and simple hearted villager,

00:30:31 --> 00:30:32

he

00:30:32 --> 00:30:35

came to me and he said, he said,

00:30:35 --> 00:30:35

Sheikh,

00:30:35 --> 00:30:38

which was for whatever odd reason

00:30:38 --> 00:30:40

of no design of my own, my nickname

00:30:40 --> 00:30:42

in Madrasah, but,

00:30:42 --> 00:30:43

he said, Sheikh,

00:30:44 --> 00:30:45

why is it that all these Panjapes,

00:30:47 --> 00:30:48

which is their affectionate

00:30:49 --> 00:30:49

and slightly,

00:30:50 --> 00:30:52

sometimes degrading term that they use for for

00:30:52 --> 00:30:54

other Pakistanis and Indians.

00:30:55 --> 00:30:57

Is how come all these Punjabis, they keep

00:30:57 --> 00:30:59

saying that we're the descendants of Jews?

00:31:00 --> 00:31:00

I

00:31:00 --> 00:31:03

say, don't say Jews, say Banu Israel.

00:31:04 --> 00:31:05

Let's say that you're the descendants of the

00:31:05 --> 00:31:08

children of Israel. I said that,

00:31:08 --> 00:31:10

this was something that came up with,

00:31:11 --> 00:31:11

Saydas,

00:31:12 --> 00:31:14

Safia Tubnu Heryei, umal mumineen,

00:31:15 --> 00:31:16

that she complained to the Messenger of Allah

00:31:16 --> 00:31:19

that that the the that some of the

00:31:19 --> 00:31:22

women had called said, oh, she's just a,

00:31:22 --> 00:31:23

like,

00:31:23 --> 00:31:24

a daughter of the Jews.

00:31:25 --> 00:31:25

And,

00:31:26 --> 00:31:27

he said

00:31:28 --> 00:31:29

something to her incredible

00:31:29 --> 00:31:31

that if they say that to you,

00:31:31 --> 00:31:33

say to them that my father is Harun

00:31:34 --> 00:31:36

alayhi salaam and my uncle is Musa and

00:31:36 --> 00:31:37

that my

00:31:37 --> 00:31:39

husband is Muhammad sallallahu alayhi salaam,

00:31:40 --> 00:31:41

which is kind of like a game set

00:31:41 --> 00:31:42

match

00:31:43 --> 00:31:43

retort.

00:31:44 --> 00:31:44

So I

00:31:45 --> 00:31:46

said to him, I said, just tell them,

00:31:46 --> 00:31:48

Masha'Allah, that we're the olad of the mbeyah,

00:31:48 --> 00:31:50

and this is why we're beautiful both in

00:31:50 --> 00:31:53

our spiritual qualities and in our physical appearance.

00:31:53 --> 00:31:55

And so he's like, yeah, we are good

00:31:55 --> 00:31:56

looking people.

00:31:56 --> 00:31:57

And so he was

00:31:58 --> 00:31:59

happy with that.

00:32:01 --> 00:32:01

Masha'Allah,

00:32:02 --> 00:32:04

all of these things are wonderful. Whoever has

00:32:04 --> 00:32:05

a good lineage,

00:32:05 --> 00:32:08

in it for you, just remember that if

00:32:08 --> 00:32:09

you don't use it for good, then it's

00:32:09 --> 00:32:11

a complete waste. And if you use it

00:32:11 --> 00:32:13

for good and in piety and righteousness, then

00:32:13 --> 00:32:15

Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, bless you with it.

00:32:16 --> 00:32:19

Something interesting happened in the 7th year, also

00:32:19 --> 00:32:21

of Hidra. Hazar Sheikh says that 2 things

00:32:21 --> 00:32:22

were

00:32:23 --> 00:32:25

forbidden. 1 is temporary marriage,

00:32:25 --> 00:32:28

and the second was the meat of donkeys.

00:32:29 --> 00:32:30

And it's interesting.

00:32:30 --> 00:32:31

Islam never,

00:32:32 --> 00:32:33

you know, Islam never,

00:32:34 --> 00:32:36

allowed temporary marriage in the sense that it

00:32:36 --> 00:32:38

legislated it or it invented it. Rather, the

00:32:38 --> 00:32:40

practice of mata'a or temporary marriage,

00:32:40 --> 00:32:41

which,

00:32:41 --> 00:32:43

many of the people of deviance,

00:32:45 --> 00:32:46

deviance in in creed,

00:32:47 --> 00:32:49

as a kind of gimmick in order to

00:32:49 --> 00:32:51

attract people to their their cult.

00:32:51 --> 00:32:53

They'll say, oh, no. Look. The the the

00:32:53 --> 00:32:54

deen allows allows

00:32:55 --> 00:32:56

temporary marriage, that a man can say, oh,

00:32:56 --> 00:32:58

I'm gonna marry so and so woman for

00:32:58 --> 00:33:00

a maher of $50,

00:33:00 --> 00:33:01

you know, in the back of my car

00:33:01 --> 00:33:03

for, like, whatever the next 3 hours. That's

00:33:03 --> 00:33:05

another marriage. That's a joke. That's something that

00:33:05 --> 00:33:06

was there in Jahiliya,

00:33:07 --> 00:33:09

and Islam never legislated it.

00:33:11 --> 00:33:12

Rather, it just didn't,

00:33:13 --> 00:33:15

proscribe it right away. It was a part

00:33:15 --> 00:33:16

of the Jahili

00:33:16 --> 00:33:19

culture like drinking, which was also,

00:33:20 --> 00:33:21

which was also

00:33:22 --> 00:33:24

erased by our sacred law. And I find

00:33:24 --> 00:33:26

it very telling that that muta'a or temporary

00:33:26 --> 00:33:27

marriage

00:33:27 --> 00:33:28

was prescribed

00:33:28 --> 00:33:30

by the sacred law in the same in

00:33:30 --> 00:33:33

the same time that eating donkeys was because

00:33:33 --> 00:33:35

both of them is both of them are

00:33:35 --> 00:33:37

something that are, you know, any person who

00:33:37 --> 00:33:39

has any fitra would understand why it's a

00:33:39 --> 00:33:42

bad idea and not something worthy of a

00:33:42 --> 00:33:44

person of honor. And then there are those

00:33:44 --> 00:33:47

people who permit temporary marriage as a gimmick

00:33:47 --> 00:33:49

in order to attract people to their their

00:33:49 --> 00:33:51

their weird akida that no one in their

00:33:51 --> 00:33:53

right mind would, would accept in the first

00:33:53 --> 00:33:56

place. But, hey, look, temporary marriage, and Allah

00:33:56 --> 00:33:57

Ta'ala protect us from such people.

00:33:58 --> 00:33:59

The mother,

00:34:00 --> 00:34:02

of Saydah Aisha RadiAllahu Ta'ala Anha, Saydah

00:34:03 --> 00:34:03

Umrahman,

00:34:05 --> 00:34:06

passed away during this year, Allah Ta'ala be

00:34:06 --> 00:34:09

pleased with her. In accordance to the Treaty

00:34:09 --> 00:34:09

of Hudaybiyyah,

00:34:11 --> 00:34:12

in the 6th year,

00:34:13 --> 00:34:15

that was concluded in the 6th year, meaning

00:34:15 --> 00:34:17

the the previous year, the Messenger of Allah,

00:34:17 --> 00:34:19

salallahu alayhi wa sallam, set off with 21

00:34:19 --> 00:34:22

100 companions to perform Umrah.

00:34:23 --> 00:34:25

In terms of the pledge, they stayed 3

00:34:25 --> 00:34:27

days in Makkah and then they returned to

00:34:27 --> 00:34:29

Madinah Munawara. And what a amazing sight that

00:34:29 --> 00:34:31

must have been to see the Messenger of

00:34:31 --> 00:34:32

Allah Sallallahu

00:34:32 --> 00:34:32

Alaihi Wasallam

00:34:33 --> 00:34:33

and his,

00:34:34 --> 00:34:35

his companions,

00:34:35 --> 00:34:37

all of whom were the oliya of Allah

00:34:37 --> 00:34:39

Ta'ala unlike which the world had never seen

00:34:39 --> 00:34:41

nor will ever see again.

00:34:42 --> 00:34:44

Making tawafah on the house of Allah Subhanahu

00:34:44 --> 00:34:46

Wa Ta'ala and saying the talbiyah and returning

00:34:46 --> 00:34:48

with their head shaved. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

00:34:48 --> 00:34:49

give us

00:34:49 --> 00:34:51

a station with them because of our love

00:34:51 --> 00:34:52

of them.

00:34:53 --> 00:34:56

On the journey to Makkah Mukarama, Rasulullah Sallallahu

00:34:56 --> 00:34:58

Alaihi Wasallam married Umul Munin Maimuna,

00:34:59 --> 00:35:00

who was the

00:35:01 --> 00:35:04

the the challah of of of Abdullah ibn

00:35:04 --> 00:35:05

Abbas radiallahu anhu

00:35:06 --> 00:35:07

wa anhuma.

00:35:07 --> 00:35:08

It was his intention to have the Walima

00:35:08 --> 00:35:11

in Makkamukarama, but the Kufar would not relent.

00:35:11 --> 00:35:13

They refused to extend the 3 d period,

00:35:13 --> 00:35:16

of grace allowed by the treaty. The Wolima,

00:35:16 --> 00:35:18

therefore, was held at a place called Saraf

00:35:18 --> 00:35:19

while returning from Makkamukarama.

00:35:20 --> 00:35:22

This is where the nikah took place and

00:35:22 --> 00:35:24

precisely at the spot the tent was set

00:35:24 --> 00:35:25

up, say the memunah,

00:35:26 --> 00:35:27

would then die

00:35:28 --> 00:35:30

in the year 51 after hijrah.

00:35:31 --> 00:35:32

May Allah ta'ala,

00:35:32 --> 00:35:34

send upon her peace, and may Allah, subhanahu

00:35:34 --> 00:35:36

wa ta'ala, be pleased with her. After the

00:35:36 --> 00:35:37

pact at Khaybar,

00:35:38 --> 00:35:38

a Jewess,

00:35:38 --> 00:35:41

had sent, poisoned mutton as a gift to

00:35:41 --> 00:35:43

the most noble prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam.

00:35:44 --> 00:35:46

His noble character constrained him to accept the

00:35:46 --> 00:35:47

gift

00:35:47 --> 00:35:49

that he didn't want to not accept it,

00:35:49 --> 00:35:51

because that would be against his noble character.

00:35:52 --> 00:35:54

As he placed a piece of it in

00:35:54 --> 00:35:55

his mouth, the meat itself spoke by the

00:35:55 --> 00:35:57

permission of Allah and said, oh, Rasool Allah,

00:35:57 --> 00:35:59

do not eat me. Poison has been added

00:35:59 --> 00:36:02

to me. He immediately threw down the meat

00:36:02 --> 00:36:03

and informed the Sahaba

00:36:05 --> 00:36:07

of the situation. 1 of his companions who

00:36:07 --> 00:36:08

had already ate some of the meat had

00:36:08 --> 00:36:09

died,

00:36:09 --> 00:36:12

since he had already chewed some of it

00:36:12 --> 00:36:14

before swallowing the effect of the poison endured

00:36:14 --> 00:36:16

in the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa

00:36:16 --> 00:36:18

sallam as long as he lived. And in

00:36:18 --> 00:36:20

fact, he complained about feeling the effect of

00:36:20 --> 00:36:21

that poison,

00:36:22 --> 00:36:24

when he, when he finally passed away.
