And you know, a lot of parents are probably watching and they're telling their children you see, you should memorize the Quran and you need to, you know, protect the Koran and preserve the Quran and you've been chosen. Yes, that's good, that's important. But at the same time,

advise our children and warn them and warn ourselves that you don't only memorize the plan, you need to retain it. And if you're not going to retain it, then it's it may be better to just learn a little bit, learn what you need for yourself. Learn what you need to get through this life. Learn what you need in order to earn and to buy and sell and live and do trade and whatnot. Right? Learn what you need to learn and don't

go all out in saying I'm going to memorize the Quran just to be known as a half of the Quran or a half of the Quran and then you forget it, we're going to talk about this in a little bit inshallah. Okay.

So, people who have been given the Quran, it says it's, it's an honor from Allah subhanho wa Taala. And it's an honor that we need to be careful of, as in we need to be careful with I should say, we need to be protecting that honor. And it has the eggs that are there, or the little chicks are born. And they go underneath the wings of the mother bird, right? And they feel safe, they feel protected, or like a child today a little baby, right? A little child comes running and gets into the arms of its mother, and even the father, right? And you know, feel safe feels feels comfort feels a sense of security. The angels do that to us when we are learning the Quran, and spending time with it. Now, we live at a time where we're stressed and we're going through lots

of hardship and we're doing you know, there's so much that's happening to us in our lives, that at times we don't even have the ability to slow down and try and think of what we're doing. Right? We don't have the ability to relax our mind or disconnect. And so when we go to the Quran, Allah Subhana Allah starts to disconnect the rest of the world from us. Is it because Allah subhana wa, tada wants you to recite the Quran beautifully? Is it because you respect the Quran is the words of Allah and it deserves to be recited beautifully. Right? Does the Quran deserve to be recited beautifully? Absolutely, of course it does. Right? Are we all able or capable

to recite it beautifully?

We try our best Not everyone can everyone is different, right? Everyone has their strengths, their abilities, everyone has their hardships and difficulties as well. Okay.

So we need to look at our

sincerity, if plus be sincere with learning and recitation of a plan. Why? Because the urn, right, or the recitation of the Quran is a bird. And we seek nearness to Allah subhanho wa Taala through it. If you wanted to.

You wanted to be the class pet? Right? You wanted to be close to your teacher? Aren't you going to do things that your teacher likes? You want to be rewarded? from your parents? Aren't you going to do things that your parents like?

You want to be

elected as a politician? Aren't you going to do things that people like? Yeah, that's what people do, right? But when it comes to the, quote, an end with anything else, we first of all, do it for the sake of pleasing the loss of what's out of it. Even if we're looking for, you know, votes in an election, we do it for the sake of pleasing A lot of it through this election. And reaching a position if a position is you know, reached and achieved, then I will do justice to a loss of handling data in that position. Right, you see that. So everything that we do, we have to do for the sake of a lot. So recitation of the end is an act of worship, that we seek nearness to Allah

subhanho wa Taala through. And because it's an act of worship, there's two things that we need to focus on. two very important things that we need to focus on. The first one is sincerity. And the second one is consistency.

You cannot be a believer, for example, in the morning, and not a believer at night, you cannot say I'm Muslim to one person, and I'm not Muslim to another. You cannot say I love the Quran to one person and say it is useless to someone else when he has a villa. You need to be consistent with it. So you need to be sincere in your recitation of Quran and your learning of the Quran. But you also need to be

consistent in your learning of the quarter in your recitation and revision and memorization of the Quran, and in the implementation and teaching aspects of the Quran as well. Right? So those are two very key important conditions that are there or key principles I should say, that are needed from us when learning the Quran. Why? Because it's an act of worship that we seek nearness to Allah subhanho wa Taala in it. And it can't be that you're a believer at one time and you're not another you can't be someone who loves the Quran by day and hates it by night when he has a villa right. You got to be someone who's sincere with the plan, because it's a god and we're seeking you know, nearness to

Allah and consistent with the

is, you know, through our doing it regularly reciting the Quran regularly, and we see a very famous Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. It's a lengthy Hadith, I'll just take the middle part, the first part of the head, he talks about someone who died as a Shaheed. Right, someone who's a Shahid and, you know, it mentions their punishment. And then the second part is the person who learns the Quran and you know, recites the Quran, or knowledge of the dean and recycle cotton. And the third part is, and we're not going to mention that as well. We just mentioned the second part, like I said, the third part is a person who gives a lot in South Africa. Okay, so the second part,

learnt the knowledge and they taught knowledge, right, I gained knowledge, I was striving really hard in my life, to gain that knowledge, and to also teach that knowledge. And I recited the Quran for your sake.

Right? This person will say this to a loss of hand without it. And then it will be said to them, You light? Can you imagine that? Can you imagine standing before a loss of pen with Allah and Allah is questioning us? And he says, Why did you learn the Quran when you were 10 years old? And when you were four years old, or five years old? Why did you memorize the Quran and finish it before? 10? Why did you memorize it? And when you were 16 years old, why? You know, why did you do this? And a person says, Well, I did it to please you all I did is and then and then it'd be said, You're a liar. Imagine that. How would we feel like we'd be broken to pieces completely like thinking of it

as like, Oh, this is serious, right?

It'll be said You're a liar.

Rather, you learned this knowledge

to so that people can call you and their island so that people can call you a scholar and you recited the Quran, so that people can call you a body that you are someone who recites the Quran beautiful, beautifully.

And that was said that was done you achieve that you wanted basically what is being mentioned here in the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu Sallam is you wanted to be recognized as a scholar, you want it to be recognized as a god it as a half of it as someone who learned the Quran and recited it beautifully. You did and you got that people gave it to you people praised you people spoke about you people clicked like on all your, all your posts, people said beautiful things to you, and you continue to feed them what they wanted, because you wanted that from them.

And you got it.

You got what you wanted.

Now, you're getting what you get what you deserve, right. So a lot of times I will say

Wake up and smell the coffee. Wake up and understand that you know what? Look what en and this Deen of Allah Subhana Allah is not a money making tool. We do not go and study in universities or study with scholars and learn the Quran and beautify our recitation and stuff like that for the sake of making dollars and cents. In fact, a lot of people get most of the most of the people will get sense, but the people who seek out wealth they will find the means they will find a way to get really, really rich off the corner.

We ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to have mercy upon us off. I mean, all right, let's move to the next part. So the first was, you know, to have that sincerity in seeking knowledge of the Quran and recitation of the Quran and to also be consistent with it. Okay. Second thing is and I'm a bill Quran

But if I respect it, and I say some kind of law, that's from Allah Subhana Allah, Allah has the ability to do this to split atoms and to do all of these things and to like, you know, mix certain things together, and you know, all these beautiful things in science and chemistry, physics and so on. That's from a law, right and if we respect it, Villa

is not their story, something that is that is not good and is bad, and will desensitize us to something for example, the game is like filled with shooting and stuff like that, you know, like the games that are out there.

I honestly discourage that. I don't encourage it. Regardless of whether scholars say, you know what, something is permissible. Yes, something's permissible, but just because something's permissible doesn't mean it's good.

Okay, just because something's permissible, doesn't mean that it is good. Like sugar is permissible, but a lot of it is not good. Okay. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are permissible and men. You can eat a whole dozen but that's not good. Right?

I'm always like, yeah, you just finished telling yourself your own advice. Don't eat a whole dozen. That's why I only eat six dozen.
