Zakir Naik – Meaning of Sahoor, Suhoor, Fatoor and Iftaar

			hamdulillah I'd like to start the topic with an essential one. Even myself, I'm not 100% sure of the
implications of the terms. So whore and if tar, could you shed some light on these terms for us?

word suhoor. It is derived from the Arabic word Sahara, which means the later part of the night and
it's plural is called as a char. And Arabic word sahul means a meal, which is taken just before the
break of dawn and the Arabic word food is the act of taking the meal suffer. So food is the act. And

			as far as the Arabic word is concerned, the word Iftar is derived from the Arabic word fatter, which
means to pay or which means to break. And the word first means the meal taken to break the fast and
the Arabic word iftaar means the act of taking the meal to break the fast
