			Is this going to affect my pursuit of many materialistic things that are not necessities in my life?
That's still a factor in our heads when we write those checks. Right? How much can I give? Without
feeling a pinch? How much can I do without feeling the pinch? And yeah, it's horrible when we see
those kids in Syria, that are suffering and in Philistine and in the Central African Republic and
the Burmese and these people that are stranded at sea Subhan Allah, we're seeing images within one
year of refugees being turned away from Muslim countries. It's absolutely disgusting. And we blame
Europe for this. We blame the migrant crisis on Europe. What does the Muslim world done for these
		

			refugees? I remember I was in Malaysia when the Burmese refugees were at sea stuck in between Muslim
countries, and no one would take them in. And I thought to myself, Allahu Akbar, look at the hair
that the OMA has, and look at these people. And we are fools when we think that Allah Subhana Allah
will not call us to account for these things. We are fools when we think that because we write our
small checks that Allah subhanaw taala Adam will ask us about people and that these things won't
come back to us at some point, and that we won't suffer at some point in our own lives, and that
Allah subhanaw taala won't send something to wake us up. So no, I'm not surprised that a crane fell
		

			in the hot tub where there is a mixture of people, some that paid 1000s and 1000s of dollars to have

here in America, where you're either filthy rich in this world or you're filthy poor. You're either
in utter poverty, or you're an utter prosperity. And that gap keeps widening and widening and when
there are discussions about the homeless here or here at home, and in the greatest country on Earth,
when there are discussions about the homeless, usually they're about cleaning up the downtown's so
that the downtown doesn't appear unattractive to tourists, not feeding them. Cleaning up downtown
means getting them off of the streets, not feeding them, not making their lives better, but making
		

			our drive to work more appealing and making our tourism industry stronger.
		

			And then you know as that gap continues to widen in the OMA itself because Masha Allah, we have a
rich ummah. We have an ummah that has resources. We have an OMA that has money. Here in the United
States, the Muslim community is one of the most privileged communities in the United States, Muslim
women earn higher than any other group of women, second to only Jewish women. So Muslim women are
earning Muslim men are earning we're a very rich community. And usually when we have our
discussions, and when we talk about our problems as an ummah, we're talking about how to save
ourselves, or how to stop ourselves from doing things that corrupt our souls and that corrupt
		

			ourselves and the idea here is that we're so worried about our own individual dreams and our own
individual pursuits, that there's just an utter neglect. And one of the reasons why our enough's can
dominate us, our new force dominate us, ourselves and desires dominate us, it's because we're
disconnected from the world. When you don't care about the world, then what's going to depress you
is going to be that you didn't get that career that you wanted, and you didn't get the girl that you
wanted, and why am I not happy? 24/7 And why am I not able to sit back and enjoy my leisure 24/7
When you are a selfish, greedy person, that's what keeps you up at night. That's what keeps you sad.
		

			That's what makes you depressed. Your own individual pursuits, your failed individual pursuits, the
world can go to *, but as long as you're okay and you have your money and you have the girl that
you want and you have the career that you want, and your kids are dressed in masala, you're living
the American dream that no one seems to actually have. As long as you have that the world can burn
and you'll feel bad about it. But guess what? I'll write a small check. It doesn't work that way.

			Your Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam lost sleep for the Ummah, your Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam had his feet swell up at night from standing up and praying for the OMA. He didn't have to do
that. And if anyone lived a dream, it was him son, Allahu alayhi wa sallam literally an under slot

years from now if we can't even care about kids now and care about the world now then where does all
that come from?
		

			And there are a few things that I want to mention here. Number one, in this I have Laurel facade

of tragedy.
		

			Other people have to live that reality on a daily basis. Do we sit back and say and Hamdulillah? We
don't have to worry about that stuff like everyone else does? Or do we ask ourselves what is our
responsibility? And the brothers and sisters particularly when we talk about our own as a whole when
we talk about our Amma the Muslim ummah in particular, when Allah Subhana Allah, Allah says in

they've been around, but the ones we really need to worry about are the internal ones, because they

position to succeed. But when we refuse to succeed, and when we don't fix things amongst ourselves
		

			internally, then we cannot expect the help of Allah subhanaw taala to come to us in terms of Allah
Yan Surah as long as we fix ourselves internally, and we take care of our vulnerable internally how

transformative message in the world. But if we don't fix our own things internally, and take care of
