that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah 600
years after Isa left this world, Jibreel
stopped coming down to anybody.
In one of the nights of the month
of Ramadan, Muhammad was worshipping, reflecting,
thinking about the situation of the world around
him.
Looking at the creation of Allah, in the
cave of Hira, in the darkness of the
night time, suddenly Jibreel came with the first
ayah.
He hugged Rasulullah ﷺ, squeezed him, and he
ordered him to say Iqra.
Iqra three times.
It was not an easy moment for Rasulullah
ﷺ.
First of all, imagine someone in that place,
by himself, receiving this hard order, and he
does not know how to read Rasulullah ﷺ.
Iqra, and the response of Rasulullah ﷺ, I
don't know how to read.
One of the narrations is that the third
time he said, what do you want me
to read?
Then Allah told him, through Jibreel's revelation, Iqra
bismi rabbika allathee khalaq.
When we think of the first ayah revealed
to Rasulullah ﷺ, it was not salli.
And we know that the salah is very
important in our deen.
The salah will be the first thing we
will be asked about at Yawm al Qiyamah.
The salah was the last nasiha and order
from Rasulullah ﷺ, a reminder.
As-salah, as-salah, wa ma malakat aymanukum.
The salah was revealed to Rasulullah ﷺ not
in the earth, but in the heaven, as
you know in the Isra and the Mi
'raj.
But it was not the first order, or
the first ayah.
It was not hijj, or sum, or do
any of the other acts.
It was read, recite.
And it's a clear message for the ummah
of Muhammad ﷺ.
If you connect yourself to the knowledge, you
will worship Allah the right way.
You will lead the world the right way.
You will be successful when it comes to
your relationship with yourself, with your family, with
the society around you, with the whole world,
and of course with Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala.
And the one who prays with no knowledge,
the salah may not be completed.
The one who goes to hajj, and he
does not know how to do the hajj
the right way, the hajj may not be
completed.
And all of the acts of the ibadat,
without of read, recite, learn, it will not
be completed.
So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is bringing
our attention to a very important thing in
our life, which is knowledge.
Iqra.
Rasulullah ﷺ is receiving the first order from
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Iqra, bismi rabbika allathee khalaq.
It's not only iqra without of the connection
with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Because the knowledge without of connection with Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala could be a harm
for the humanity.
And you see the knowledge which we have
these days, instead of using it to protect
the life of people, and we know in
knowledge which could be a saving life for
the sake of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
the reward of it, as if you save
the whole humanity.
But the knowledge which destroy the world, killing
the innocent people, through the technology, this is
not the knowledge which is connected with the
name of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Iqra, bismi rabbika.
What can we do with a certificate of
PhD if someone does not know how to
pray?
What is the benefit of the knowledge if
it's not connected to the name of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala?
Even if we get some benefit of it
in the dunya, but yawm al qiyamah we
will find out that it's not helpful.
That's why Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is
telling us and reminding us,
And the person who was alone living
in Mecca, salallahu alayhi wasalam, now is receiving
iqra and he became the best teacher ever,
salallahu alayhi wasalam.
And he taught the teachers how to be
knowledgeable, how to be merciful, how to be
right.
He taught, alayhis salatu wasalam, the leaders how
to be just and how to be fair
with the people under them.
He taught, salallahu alayhi wasalam, the parents how
to be nice and how to treat their
kids the right way.
The spouses how to live in a peace.
Muhammad salallahu alayhi wasalam who used
to work as a shepherd in Mecca, now
he become the leader not only for the
people of Mecca but for the whole world,
alayhis salatu wasalam.
And everybody is witnessing that this person is
the first human, who is the best human
being, you know, who walked on the earth.
So, read in Islam, it's very important and
we have to, as we said, connect it
to the name of Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala.
And imagine when it comes to the knowledge.
And I wish that our young people here,
and all of us, we have to try
our best to educate ourselves, increase our knowledge,
and it's the order of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala when it comes to the deen.
You have
to know and learn that there is no
God but Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And when it comes to the deen and
the dunya, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is
Ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to
increase your knowledge.
And if you walk on the way of
knowledge, Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wasalam told us that
Allah, the angels, the people in the earth,
and those who are in the heavens, even
the fish and the ant under the ground,
they make salam and they pray for the
person who is seeking knowledge and teaching people
the knowledge of لا إله إلا الله محمد
knowledge which will benefit the humanity.
And if you look at the other hadith,
And Rasulullah salallahu
alayhi wasalam says here, عِلْمًا not العِلْم If
you hear it العِلْم, it should be the
Qur'an and the sunnah of Rasulullah salallahu
alayhi wasalam.
But without of العِلْم, it could be any
type of knowledge, but we have to connect
it with the name of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala as we said.
The person who knows the right of Allah,
and he learns to benefit himself and humanity,
of course he will be in a high
position in the sight of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala.
May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala increase our
knowledge.
Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala is telling us,
And reading is not only related
to the book of Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala, even if you read one ayah, one
verse from the Qur'an, one letter from
the book of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
how much hasanat we will get?
Ten hasanat.
Ten hasanat for each letter.
So there is nothing similar to the Qur
'an.
So we have to try our best to
connect ourselves to the best guidance ever, the
book of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And as we try to memorize it, I
wish for those who are trying to memorize
the Qur'an, to try their best to
understand it.
Ya Allah, it will be beautiful when you
read the Qur'an, and you recognize things
with the meaning.
That's why Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala told
us in the Qur'an,
How can I reflect and think about the
ayat of the Qur'an if I don't
understand it?
So try your best.
When you memorize ayat, new ayat, try to
know the meaning of them.
The taste of the Qur'an will be
different.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is telling Rasulullah
sallallahu alayhi wasallam, and telling the Ummah of
Try to connect yourself
to the Qur'an.
The Qur'an is the best guidance, the
best barakah, the barakah in your heart, the
barakah in your home, the barakah in your
life, the blessing wherever you go, the barakah
in your grave, and the barakah when you
stand in front of Allah SWT and it
will be said to the person of the
Read and recite, and you will
be in a high place in Jannah according
to what you have in your heart, and
you used to recite in the dunya.
May Allah SWT put the love of Qur
'an in our hearts.
So brothers and
sisters, the first lesson we learned from this
ayah, اِقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ how to
connect ourselves to the knowledge.
And as we recite the book of Allah
SWT, the Qur'an, we wanted to recite
and think of the creation of Allah SWT.
And this type of ibadah, we wanted to
bring it alive again.
Rasulullah SAW used to do this.
He used to stand by himself, looking at
the sky, thinking of the stars, the moon,
and the things around him.
And this is according to the Qur'an.
And look at the creation around you.
Look at yourself.
Subhanallah, there are many ayahs.
Do we think of these, they call them
the silent blessings.
We don't look at our hearts.
And we don't have to pay anything to
let them, you know, stay alive.
We don't even think about our visions, about
our hearings, about the taste, about our walking.
Subhanallah, there are many ni'm.
And we cannot count them.
And look at the one piece of the
Qur'an related to counting.
In the Arabic language, Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala is telling us,
So there is difference between counting
as adat, and counting as ihsa.
Adat is numbers.
One, two, three, we have 100,000 ni'm.
But to make ihsa, every ni'm has many
details.
If we try to count the ni'm with
the details of them, we will not be
able.
That's why Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala told
may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala increase our
iman, and our knowledge, and our taqwa, إِنَّهُ
So the first lesson,
brothers and sisters, how to make the reading,
reciting, learning, something as priority in our life.
The second lesson we learn from the first
ayah.
After Rasulallah ﷺ received this beautiful news, beautiful
revelation, he came down from the mountain at
the night time, running to, not to his
uncle, Abu Talib, even if he was one
of the main supporters for him, not to
Abu Bakr, his best friend, not to the
leaders of Mecca, even if they had so
much of power, he went to Khadijah.
Khadijah, his righteous wife.
The best blessing we could have after
our iman and taqwa is to have a
righteous wife.
May Allah ﷻ put the taqwa in the
hearts of our brothers and sisters.
Came down to
I was afraid.
What is this?
What happened to me?
And she knows the quality of Muhammad ﷺ.
A relationship of 15 years was enough for
Khadijah to know who is Muhammad ﷺ.
And for the brothers, we want to have
equality in our homes like Khadijah.
But we have to try our best to
be like Muhammad ﷺ.
you go home, try to act in the
best way.
And it's not just acting, it's following the
sunnah of Rasulallah ﷺ.
Try to bring some peace inside of your
home through the akhlaaq, through the manners of
Muhammad ﷺ.
He was the best person ever in his
home, dealing with his wife, dealing with his
daughters, with his neighbors, with everybody around him.
That's why she said,
You have
the best quality ever.
The best of akhlaaq you have it, O
Muhammad ﷺ.
And your akhlaaq is not only with your
own family.
You know, reach everybody around.
So Allah will not let you down.
No way for someone like you to be
down ﷺ.
Then she took him to Waraqa ibn Naufal.
So what we learn from this, O my
brothers and sisters, when we have a good
relationship with our spouses in our homes, that
will bring the happiness into our hearts, inside
of our homes, and that with no doubt
will affect our kids in a positive way.
And imagine the child, the innocent son or
daughter who goes to school, coming back home,
and his mother is screaming, his father is
fighting, there is no peace at all inside
of the house.
Would we like to have a righteous child
coming from this home?
So throw your arrogance, throw your ego, throw
anything could affect your home and your family
and your future and your deen, and try
to protect your home as much as you
can.
Throw the sunnah and the akhlaaq of Rasulullah
ﷺ.
And Rasulullah ﷺ kept this relationship with Khadija,
even after she passed away.
Aisha, when she recognized that Rasulullah ﷺ is
praising, talking in a good way about Khadija,
even after her death.
She said, O Rasulullah, is there no better
woman than Khadija?
Allah ﷻ bless you with a better woman
than Khadija.
Now you have a conversation between Muhammad ﷺ
and he was clearly saying this in front
of the Sahaba ﷺ, Khadija is the most
loved person to me.
But after the death of Khadija, I mean
Aisha, I love her so much.
Then when it comes to Khadija, that's a
different story.
She said, Allah ﷻ replace a better woman
for you, O Muhammad ﷺ.
He said, by Allah, Allah ﷻ did not
give me better than Khadija ﷺ.
She's the one who stood with me or
stand with me from day one, from day
one, with her worth, with her emotion, with
her knowledge, with everything.
And the moment I came with Islam, she
was the first one who accepted Islam, رضي
So the value of woman in Islam is
great.
And Rasulullah ﷺ did not neglect the right
of Khadija ﷺ even after her death.
And he said, صلى الله عليه وسلم آمنت
She accepted Islam in the moment when people
reject Islam.
And she gave me her money in the
moment when I was in need and nobody
came to help me or to support me.
And she was, she was, she was.
At the end he said, صلى الله عليه
وسلم and Allah ﷻ blessed me with her
children.
The four daughters, beautiful daughters, Zaynab, Ruqayya, Umm
Kulthum, and Fatima ﷺ, and Abdullah and Qasim,
may Allah ﷻ gather us with them in
Jannat al-Na'im.
May Allah ﷻ put the love of Rasulullah
ﷺ in our heart.
May Allah ﷻ bless our brothers and sisters,
our families.
And may Allah ﷻ protect our brothers and
sisters in Palestine.
And whoever is starving or striving in the
way of Allah ﷻ, نسأل الله أن يفرج
So the first lesson we learned from the
first ayah, how we should connect ourselves to
the knowledge, to the Book of Allah ﷻ.
When it comes to our worship, we have
to educate ourselves.
It's a shame on a Muslim to have
so much of knowledge in the fields of
the dunya and does not know how to
pray.
So anything we deal with as Muslims, we
should increase our knowledge in it.
If it comes to the dunya, it's good
to be knowledgeable.
But at the same time, we have to
be knowledgeable when it comes to the deen
and the akhirah.
The second thing, whenever we have a problem,
of course we know where to go.
So for the spouses, brothers and sisters, try
to open your heart for each other.
Try to bring so much of love and
respect for each other.
And sometimes, even if it's not for the
sake of the peace for yourself, at least
for the sake of the peace inside of
your home, for your kids, for the future.
And inshallah one day, you will be with
your spouses in jannat al-na'im.
May Allah gather us with our families in
jannat al-na'im.
The third lesson.
Khadija told Muhammad let's go to Waraqa ibn
Nawfal.
The one who had so much of knowledge.
He was trying to connect himself to the
pure sources.
And Rasulullah received the first warning.
I hope, I wish, that I am young
when your people are asking you to leave
from Mecca.
They're going to drive me away from Mecca?
Muhammad salallahu alayhi wa sallam?
As-sadiq, al-ameen?
The one who has so much of akhlaq
and nice treatment for everybody?
The people of Mecca will ask Muhammad to
leave?
Yes.
And this is normal for any person who
comes with the knowledge or with the mission
like this or with the message like this.
Salallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Now we have a problem.
Where to go?
Waraqa ibn Nawfal passed away.
And Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wa sallam after 13
years is leaving Mecca crying.
Crying.
Wallahi, you are the most loved land to
me.
And because of your people I'm leaving.
Brothers and sisters, when you have a problem
in your life, of course, we seek the
help from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Then of course you will look around at
yourself and you will say, I will seek
the help of my brothers.
Of my sisters.
Of 2 billion Muslims are watching what's happening
for me.
Watching what's going on for the people of
Gaza.
For over one year people are dying.
Dying from many different ways.
They're hungry.
And we have the most the most blessing
as Muslim Ummah.
We're not able even to give them some
bread to keep them alive.
They have no medicine.
They have no pure water.
The people in the north of Gaza, they're
dying.
Dying from the hunger.
Ya Rabbi, we wanted to stand in front
of Muhammad to say, Ya Rasulallah, we need
your shafa'ah.
The people of Gaza are saying, inshallah ta
'ala, the Ummah of Muhammad who have the
ability to stand with us and to save
our lives and they don't care about our
lives, inshallah they will not receive the shafa
'ah of Rasulallah.
How can we stand in front of Muhammad
and we neglect the right of our brothers
and sisters?
And you see some Muslims who are using
their media saying, we don't care about the
situation of Gaza or Palestine.
It's not our business.
What type of iman do we have if
we think this way?
So, if we save the life of any
human, we will get ajr, even if that
human is not Muslim.
What about if this human is starving day
after day over one year and you know
that he is your brother in Islam, and
he is screaming saying, brothers, sisters, we need
your help.
Help us.
Save our lives.
And you see the borders are closed just
for the source of life for those people.
May Allah make it easy.
Allah Allah
Allah Allah Allah Allah Allah Allah
Allah Allah Allah Allah Allah Allah Allah Allah
Allah Allah
Allah Allah Allah Allah Allah
Allah May Allah bless
you.
Try to fill the first lines.
If you have any space in front of
you We just get the edge of it.
Come to prayer, come to success.
The prayer has been established, the prayer has
been established.
Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest.
There is no god but Allah.
Straighten your heads, turn to Allah with humble
hearts.
Feel the greatness of Allah while you are
standing in front of Him.
Allah is the greatest.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of
the worlds.
The Merciful, the Compassionate.
Master of the Day of Recompense.
It is You we worship and You we
ask for help.
Guide us to the straight path.
The path of those You have blessed.
Not of those who have incurred Your wrath,
nor of those who have gone astray.
Ameen.
Indeed, those who say, Our Lord is Allah,
then stand firm.
The angels descend upon them.
Do not fear, nor grieve, but rejoice in
Paradise, which you have been promised.
We are your protectors in this world and
in the Hereafter.
And you will have therein whatever your souls
desire.
And you will have therein whatever you ask
for.
A descent from the Forgiving, the Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of
the worlds.
The Merciful, the Compassionate.
Master of the Day of Recompense.
It is You we worship and You we
ask for help.
Guide us to the straight path, the path
of those You have blessed, not of those
who have incurred Your wrath, nor of those
who have gone astray.
Ameen.
And who is better in speech than one
who invites to Allah and does good and
says, I am of the Muslims.
And good and evil are not equal.
Defeat with that which is better.
Then that which is between you and him
is enmity, as if he were a close
friend.
And none shall receive it except those who
are patient.
And none shall receive it except the possessor
of great fortune.
Allah is the Greatest.
Allah has heard who is in praises of
Him.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of
the Worlds.
Peace be upon you, O God's mercy.
Peace be upon you, O God's mercy.
