dear brothers and sisters in Islam and humanity Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
May the peace, mercy and blessings of Allah subhanho wa Taala be on all of you. Welcome to the show. Ramadan today with Dr. Zakir I'm your host, Yousef chambers and today we will be discussing the topic x recommended and discourage during the fasting
Dr Zakir Salam Alikum walaikum salam wa Rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh how are you today?
Masha hamdulillah
this topic again, such an important one. In fact, every 32 that we will do, inshallah will be very, very important.
Could you Dr. Zack here to start the proceedings, simply tell our viewers what are the recommended acts during Ramadan Alhamdulillah
wa salatu salam ala rasulillah Allah Allah hi Benjamin Ahmed Billahi min ash shaytani r rajim Bismillah R Rahman Rahim, rubbished early Saturday Western Liam Lee
melissani f Coco Lee. Normally, all the acts that are recommended during the normal days are also recommended during the month of Ramadan except those acts which break the fast
but there are specific acts which have been recommended by profit especially to humans from them. And some acts are encouraged more during the month of Ramadan. And there are many of them. I'll try and list as many as I can. The first is having food
you should not neglect the food. Number two is having food as late as possible just before the break of dawn. Third is having an early if tar as early as possible just after sunset, the fourth is having dates and water many big fast 50s seeing the recommended doors after a break the first and
the 16th that when you break the fast it is preferable you invite other people especially the poor people and the six inshallah discussing tomorrow.
The other thing which I agree with the Prophet is number one, that we should do as many good deeds as possible during the month of Ramadan. Number two, we should be more generous in the month of Ramadan. Number three, that if someone tries to provoke you, you should not get angry, when should say I'm fasting and fasting. Number four, we should use the SAVAK that the to stick number five, that if possible to perform during the month of Ramadan. Number six should try and acquire as much knowledge as possible. read the Quran along with the translation left read the deed that is something books. Number seven, we have to attend as many Islamic programs as possible lectures,
seminars to increase economic knowledge number eight,
we should
watch some programs maybe on the video, watch Islamic cassettes, your Islamic audio tapes of scholars so that we increase the knowledge number nine, we have to be happy throughout the day we should not look gloomy. Number 10 we should use this to look at other people. Number 11 we should be extra good to our family. Number 12 we should put the focus that means ponder and think on it.
And number 13 is that
we should see to it that we try and forgive
people's faults and there are other acts with the Prophet also recommended which inshallah we'll be dealing in detail in the other days. For example, The Prophet said that we should especially Be careful that all our complicity Salah, which are often congregation as soon as possible in the mosque number two is we should offer as much as soon
masala as much as no Offer Number three, we should replicate as much as possible to Allah subhanaw taala. Number four, we should ask for forgiveness, because this is the month of forgiveness. Number five, we should decide as much as possible. And number six, we should offer Dharavi. Number seven, we should, especially in the last 10 days, we should do camel number eight is we should do a calf
with less than this possible. And number nine, we should give the heart If you have not given number 10 is that we should do our own self improvement as much as possible. Number 11. Seeking let's record number 12 is a PSA of the other Muslim brothers. And number 13 is down to the non Muslims. So these in short are the two topics which I have listed, which are especially recommended in the month from some Han Allah, a lot of topics that we got to get through Dr. Zakir, and I hope and I trust in Allah subhanaw taala that we can get as much benefit out to the viewers and to ourselves first and foremost as well. Sure. And first six topics we discussed tomorrow under the heading, support, and
if taught. So that will be very interesting. Then we've got the last 13 topics that you've enunciated. Of course they will be discussed in the coming days from the ninth until the 25th of Ramadan, and the middle topics that you've discussed. We will now take them on as importance right now. So Dr. Zakir, the first topic we need to discuss today is how can one understand generosity in terms of Ramadan? What are the acts of generosity that you would recommend a Muslim to be involved in apostle should always be generous throughout his life. But during Ramadan, he should be more generous it should reach its peak. And there are various ways a person can be generous. For example,
one thing which normally people think about generosity is helping people with money. But that is not the only act of generosity that is one of the acts of generosity, helping someone with their money. The other act of generosity is that if you share your knowledge, if you guide someone who is love someone or without the non Muslims, even this generosity, you help him with your knowledge. The act of generosity is may be you may help them with your physical strength in doing some work, or maybe lifting something, even that's the act of generosity. Any good deed is an act of generosity. For example, you may be in a position, being in the position the job you're doing, you may be able to
help someone in fulfilling you need. Even that's an act of generosity. So all these commanded acts of generosity and the need of a prophet masala Salaam, as mentioned in say Buhari, were number one, in the book of Revelation, Hadith number five, it is said that Mohammed Salah sallam, he was the most generous of all the people and during the month of Ramadan, his generosity used to reach the peak. And archangel gabriel used to visit him during the month of Ramadan, and if to rehearse the Quran. And it is said that Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, he was more generous than those strong, uncontrollable wind. He was the peak of generosity for the beloved Muslim said as much as of
Timothy Hadid number 3233.
Where it is said that they will be rooms in Paradise, where you can see inside the room from the outside, and you can see the outside from inside. And these rooms will be prepared for those people who are generous and help the poor people those who fast
regularly and those who pray at night. So these are special rooms prepared for those people in paradise further.
say God mentioned in
hypnagogia did number 1746 where a beloved prophet masala Sallam said that any person who feeds the person who has fasted, he will get the reward of the person who yes said we have been fasting without diminishing the reward of the person who was fasting. Therefore, it shows that we should encourage people to feed other people, all these acts of generosity. Somehow Allah I hope and pray that we can be as generous as Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi Salaam in this month, inshallah set up this achaea The month of forgiveness Ramadan is upon us. And Allah has recommended us to be forgiving of one another during this month. Can you explain more about that? This is the month of
forgiveness. And since we are for four years in Los Banos
Allah, Allah has also recommended that V human beings, we should forgive others. And there are several verses in the Quran which have explained this in detail, if fruitful allanon chapter number three was the 134 last month Allah says that we should forgive. Allah likes those who do good deeds that we do to forgive. Allah likes them. Allah says in Surah of chapter number seven was the 199 that hold forgiveness and enjoin what is right, and go away from those who are ignorant. Furthermore, Allah says in Surah, chapter number 24, was number 22. Allah says that and you should forgive, wouldn't you want that Allah should forgive you. Allah is Forgiving and most merciful.
Allah says in Surah, Taka boon chapter number 64, Muslim 14, that amongst your wives and children, there are some who are enemies. But it would be better if you forgive them, you all default and you cover up default, allies are forgiving and most merciful. So Allah subhanaw taala is encouraging the Muslims and the believers, that it is better that you forgive as many people as possible, and Allah will forgive you. And we have the best examples in the prophets of Allah subhanaw taala. We have the example in the life of Prophet Yusuf alayhi salam,
where we know properties of peace be upon him, that his two brothers, that plant against him and want to kill him. But Allah subhanaw taala saves him and later on, he's made the governor of Egypt. And when finally all the brothers at his mercy, Allah says that he said, it's mentioned in the Quran, in Surah, Yusuf chapter number 12. Muslim, he says that, let's not put the trust on you. And Allah is the one to forgive. He's merciful. That means usually Salaam, he forgives all his brothers and his allies merciful. We have the best example of forgiveness in the last and final messenger prophet muscles during for the Mecca. When the mushriks when the beginnings of Makkah, they killed
many of relatives that killed his uncle, that kill many of the sabas. But when Finally, he had victory over them, he forgave all of them. And Allah says in the Quran, in Surah, Isaiah, chapter 33, verse number 21, that Verily, in the Prophet, you have the most beautiful pattern of conduct. And Allah says, In Surah facilite, chapter number 41, Muslim 34, Allah says that repel evil with good and you may never know the person in whose heart is hatred against you, you will find that he will become an intimate friend of yours. That means repel evil with what is good, that is the best. And I'll repeat the message in chapter number 42 verse number 37. He speaks about those people. That
means the people of paradise. Those are the people who avoid shameful deeds and avoid major sins. And when they get angry,
they forgive. So there are various verse in the Quran which Allah subhanaw taala gives us guidance to the human beings that we should forgive the other people Jazakallah hare, Dr. zakia for that reminder regarding forgiving, next question relates to anger. Dr. Zakir regarding anger management in the month of Ramadan, people are fasting during the month of Ramadan, they're getting angry. Is there any excuse for a person getting angry in the month of Ramadan? Is it a valid excuse Indeed, for them to say, we are fasting, we're entitled to get angry. In fact, it is the opposite. that a person while fasting, you should not get angry. Because Allah says in the Quran in surah baqarah
chapter number two was number 83. That fasting has been prescribed to you, as it was prescribed to people who came before you, so that you may learn self restraint. It fell upon Dr. Koon to determine learn self control. So in fact, if you're fasting all the money, then you should not get angry. It is opposite. It can't be a valid excuse that because I'm hungry because I'm tired, I can get angry, it is the opposite. And a beloved prophet masala himself just mentioned the say hadith of say Buhari worm number three,
in the book of fasting Hadith number 192. For our beloved Prophet said that fasting is a shield
and you should not speak obscenely. You should not yell at anyone else. And if someone abuses you, or someone tries to provoke you, or someone tries to make you angry, you should say I'm fasting and fasting. And the same method is repeated Also in, say Buhari one, number three in the book of fasting. Number 189. For a beloved Prophet said that someone provoked you or Mr. Angry say
fasting and fasting, it further repeated even in say Muslim several places, and a beloved prophet masala. Some said it's mentioned in say Buhari one, number eight, in the book of manners. Number 611. For a beloved Prophet said that the strong person is not one would defeat another person with the strength. The stronger person is not one who overcomes another with the strength, but the stronger person is one who when someone makes him angry, he forgives him, he does not get angry. So, actually fasting shows us a way how to control ourselves. And as you rightly said, it's somewhat like management on how to control your anger. So hon Allah. Well, if we can control our anger,
whilst we're fasting, we can do it anytime. shakalaka Dr. Zakir regarding something which is very beloved that is doing performing the Umrah during the month of Ramadan. Any particular advice regarding that action general as far as the advantage of doing ombre in the month of Ramadan up prophet encouraged, I draw the Sabbath he encouraged the Sabbath that you should do Omar in the month of Ramadan, and a prophet masala from said it's mentioned in say Buhari or number three in the book Kumara added number 172 The Prophet said that anyone who does Amara in the month of Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj. Let me the PErforM ombre in the month of Ramadan, anywhere from done with the
starting middle line is equivalent to performing hedge.
Well, that's it's a very good reason, of course to do aamra during this blessing man, DoS attack and many people have the misconception that using this awak during the fast in Ramadan is discouraged. Could you just clarify this point please? There are many people who think that using feva while you're fasting is discouraged. It is based on the Hadith. The same idea echoed earlier of say Buhari volume three in the book of fasting and ID number 1904 and 1894 provenance lesson said that by Allah in whose hand is my soul, the breath of a person who fast is sweeter to Allah subhanaw taala than the scent of must. Now based on this people think that if you savor the breath, the bad breath that
normally comes in a person who fast will not be there. So Allah will not enjoy the breath. And based on this, they think it is discouraged. In fact, we should realize that when a person is using the service to stick it does not stopped the bad breath, which normally comes in a person fast when you use the to stick the server it normally massages the gums and if there are any food particles in between the teeth like however the toothbrush is somewhat similar to that
the bad breath of fasting comes from the stomach because no food into the stomach. And that's how it comes. So no way does it contract that And furthermore, Beloved Prophet muscle awesome says as mentioned you say Buhari run number two, number 887. That the Beloved Prophet said that if it wasn't too difficult for my oma,
I would have made it compulsory to use the sidewalk before every prayer. How would you use complicity? So the Prophet said if it would have been difficult for the oma, the millet complicit to use the Civic every time for prayer, and that means it is a recommended act. And if it wasn't good for fasting, but I mentioned it, like how we mentioned for excessive sniffing of water. I did have
a book out
on number two, I did number 2360 that our beloved Prophet said that sniff water excessively through your nose while doing ablution except while fasting. That means sniffing water excessively is good, but don't do it well fasting because there are dangers that will go into the throat and maintain the stomach for a year or two. If it was a disadvantage, the prophet has said that I would have told my mom to use the SAVAK except for fasting. So based on this using Suboxone The sooner It is recommended that it is most tab and you should do it and inshallah it will go to the woods. Dr. Zakir How can a person seek knowledge during the blessed month of Ramadan seeking knowledge is a
very good act. especially among different than there are various way the post mystic knowledge besides reading the Quran, which is a recommended thing during Ramadan, a person who would even read the translation of the Quran he should
read the book of Hadith. And as far as possible, he should read the book which I say the books of authentic hadith, the best is the portable Seta
which you can read that there's nothing like it that Is Buhari Muslim, someone that may be so no Buddha would suddenly say
these
cruceta at the best of time doesn't permit at least we should read the same books have added that there is disable Hurry and say Muslim. If time doesn't permit, at least you did the summarized version of say Muslim, or the summarized version of say Buhari, or at least read the Metallica like the Hadith which are common between ohanian Muslim, he can read the book of the seed of the Prophet. And the best book on the feet of the prophet in English language is
the seal nectar, which speaks about the biography of the Prophet. There the book, on the seed of the Prophet is
the book on homosassa poem by tireless mind, that's a good book, a person can acquire knowledge. by attending programs, he can go to any Samak organization, attend lectures, attend seminars, this will increase the knowledge, he can watch video cassettes of summit lectures of some programs, he can your audio cassettes, he can go on the internet, go to some big websites, would authentic Islamic websites. So these are ways in which a person can acquire knowledge. And this is a good way of spending your time in the month of Ramadan, acquiring knowledge, and surely you will be benefited, and you'll get a great deal of reward. inshallah, all of those books, of course, you've mentioned
are available in various languages around the world. So there's not really much excuse for somebody not to pick them up during the lesson after Ramadan. Dr. Zakir What does the term personal soloq mean? And what does it mean to be good to your family during the month of Ramadan? Normally, people have an excuse that because they're fasting, they seem to be tired, they seem to be as though they have been drawn, profited device that you should look cheerful and happy. You should not look to be sad, should be cheerful and happy. And we should especially be good to your family, and read more time to a family so that they get reward along with you. As far as with the other people. This is
the month where besides the nominal months, in this month, you should be extra good to the people, to your neighbors, to your friends, or relatives to good deeds, forgive the Fords. Be happy with them, be cheerful and we should also do the thing and plan our day in London so that we get the maximum reward.
May Allah make it easy for us to be very, very good and righteous and good of character and follow Rasulullah sallallahu Islam the best of character during this blessing month of Ramadan dr zakat. Now we move on to the second part of the show, which is to discuss the discouraged acts. Can you now briefly outline the discuss the discouraged acts during fasting during Ramadan, that further discourage during fasting can be divided into three categories.
The first is acts
that are discouraged, which are contrary to the sooner fasting. Number two acts which are discouraged during the month of Ramadan, which are otherwise also prohibited.
Number three, the other acts which are described during the month of Ramadan.
Dr. Zakir Could you just mention the acts which are discouraged,
which are contrary to the sooner of fasting, the actual the discouraged and continue the sooner besides the ones we said should be recommended. I will repeat that. It just the opposite. It is a person should not say the Nia aloud
while fasting, the Nia it should not be said aloud. Number two is a person should not eat excessively during a star on the night. Number three, oppositional get angry. Point number four is that people read the therapy very fast. They rush to the therapy. And point number five is people socialize during ethica which are the actions discouraged in Ramadan, which are also prohibited otherwise, could you say something about those actions and the actions which are normally prohibited and specifically doing them none also it's prohibited. It is backbiting and centering number one of the major sins. Number two
is false speech
and telling lies.
Number three is verbal abuse and swearing. Number four is vulgar speech. Number five is rumor mongering and gossiping. Number six is false action. Number seven is
listening to an Islamic songs and music. Number eight is watching an Islamic programmes on the television and uneconomic movies. Number nine is
reading an Islamic magazines and reading an Islamic books. Number 10 is going to comic websites. Number 11 is
wastage of food and number 12 is extravagant and being spendthrift Dr. Zakir how do we admonish a person who does not guard his tongue was fasting in the month of Ramadan. guarding the tongue is very important, because many times most of the times that tongue can cause more damage to a person, then whether it be physical torture or whatever it is, you're not supposed to be careful of the time and our beloved prophet masala Sallam said, and there are various a hadith dealing with this topic. If you did the audit of Masonic nabeshima number five, in the book of manners, how did number 26490 Abner Massoud mellow pleases Him, He says that By Allah, there is nothing more deserving than the
extended control of the tongue. And a similar message is given in the next edition of Sunnah from nabeshima are number five, in the book of manners, added number 26491 we have a double decker mill op to Tim, he says holding his tongue, that this is a thing that has got me to this position. That means use careful of his tongue. That is the reason he read this position. And there are many verses in the Quran. where Allah says in Surah cough chapter number 50 was number 18. That Not a word that you say which is not written by a sentinel without noting it down? That means every word that you say is we did not manage it. Further, it's mentioned in the Quran in Surah Surah chapter number 17
Muslim 53 Allah says that say the believers that they should say things which are best and sit in many a time, he sews discord amongst the people, amongst human beings and fit into you is an avowed enemy. So Allah says, and guides us in the Quran, that will be careful when you use your tongue. And a beloved prophet masala Samson is added. mentioned in say Buhari, one number it Hadith number 6484. With a beloved puffer masala Sam said that a Muslim
to another Muslim, he should not harm him by stung, or his hands, that a Muslim is the person who does not harm the other Muslim by his hand or by Stan
and a beloved partner cillessen. For the same. It's mentioned in, say Buhari, one number it added number 6474 were a beloved Prophet said that anyone who can guarantee the safety, that the chastity of what is between the two jaw bones, talking about the tongue, and what is between the two legs, talking about private art, he will be guaranteed Paradise is the person who can guarantee the chastity, the safety of the tongue and the pirate part, he will be guaranteed paradise, my beloved prophet peace be upon him for the set, it's mentioned say Buhari, one, number eight, number 6475. That he said that he who believes in Allah and the Last date, he should either speak what is good,
or should keep quiet, that we when you open your tongue, pick what is good advice, keep going. And a prophet also said, as I mentioned in several audit of a party, or number three, Book of fasting, audit number 189 400 number 1904. That fasting is a shield. So fasting helps you to protect and helps you in self control, and a person should guard his tongue that is the best for him.
Indeed, Dr. Zack, it seems like these are lessons that we need to take on board all of the time, not just in Ramadan.
The next important topic regards a person who commits faster I want to know the what is the ruling regarding a person who commits faster the tongue was fasting in Ramadan.
A person who says false things, or lies during the month of Ramadan, as a beloved prophet masala, some said it's mentioned say Bukhari We're number three in the book of fasting Hadith number 1903. that a person who does not leave his false actions and false speech. Allah subhanaw taala does not require him to leave his food and drink.
I mean, the person who keeps on lying and continues to enforce action and false tongue, Allah does not require him to leave his food or drink indicating that
that doesn't mean the fast will break. If you fast. This is not one of the things that break the fast, but the reward that we'll get
For fasting, it will be diminished. And if you do a sin, such as telling a lie, but natural, what reward you will get while fasting it will be diminished or maybe it will nullify. As a beloved portion of Salah Salem also said, it's mentioned in hadith of
Nehemiah one number three book of fasting Hadith number 1690. That the many people who fast but do not get any reward, it is as though they're fasting only for hunger. That means if you do such acts of false deeds of force action, your reward is not there, as though you're just keeping yourself hungry or starving or diety. The main purpose that you learn self restraint is defeated. May Allah encourage us and help us to perform righteous actions which we benefit from in this world in the hereafter. Sharma Next question. What are the dangers of backbiting and gossip mongering during the month of Ramadan? One of the major sins in Islam is slandering and backbiting. And Allah says in the
Quran in surah, Hamza, Chapter 104 was number one, why liquidly houmas Attila masa vote to every kind of backbiting and slander that you have to go to everyone who back bites and Sanders. And unless it's the Quran in surah hoogenraad, chapter number 49 verse number 12, that avoid suspicion. Because sometimes suspicion is a sin to not be ill about anyone behind the back.
Are you ready to eat the meat of a dead brother and I'll continue dancing that make good about it. You're alive give the example that a person who back bites it as though he's eating his own brother. Now eating the meat of your own brother Haram. And further it says eating dead meat. Eating dead meat is also Haram. So if you back by committing a double sin, not only eating the meat of a better eating the flesh of your dead brother, so it is a very grave sin. And a beloved prophet Muslim said it's mentioned in say Muslim, why number 400 number six to six, five, where provenance Allah solemn asks the Sabbath, that do know what is backbiting they say that the Messenger of Allah knows the
best supernaturalism says that if a person speaks about somebody else behind his back, which he would not have liked,
that is called as backbiting. Speaking about somebody behind his back with the person who would not like is called backbiting. So one of the Saba, he has that profit. What if the thing is spoken is the truth, or the fault which I mentioned nothing isn't the person. So the Prophet said that if what you have spoken is the truth and the foil does exist, it is called as backbiting otherwise it's called a slandering. So backbiting is a grave sin. There's another say a deed mentioned in Sona without Rome number three, in the book of manners, Hadid number 4857 Sharmila be the wife of the Prophet, she speaks about Sophia, and say that fee is such a such thing, meaning she's short
stature. The Prophet immediately says that what you have said, if your words were mixed,
in the fee, it would spoil the fluency. Further, it's mentioned in sunon. Without word number three, in the book of manners, how did number 4860 where it's much announcement Oh, please with him. He says, that Papa masala son said, when you're sticking up to him, that he saw some people whose nails were made of copper, and they were scratching the faces and the breast. And when he asks the quad these people to reply was, these are the people who backed by
indicating that backbiting is a grave sin. And it is one of the major things which people should abstain from. And many of us do it unknowingly not realizing that it's grave sin, we should abstain from it. And the Prophet also said, it's mentioned in the book it was number eight, in the book of manners, added number 6056 a rumor monger, he shall not enter Paradise. So these are these two come to know that we have to be careful, we should guard our tongue, especially from backbiting and gossip quandary takasaki regarding other issues or other acts which are discouraged, which we haven't already covered, can we now mention other acts which are discouraged during the month of
Ramadan. The other acts which are discouraged during the month of Ramadan is that many people they sleep the full day called awake in the night and don't get up for the salah and they go back. they convert the day into night night.
Today, which is not the purpose of fasting, number two, many people, they are lazy and inactive during the day. Number three, many people kill the time during the day time with things like play game amusement, rather than doing things which are encouraged and some of the Prophet number four, many of them, they give third party rather to show off than to see the pleasure of Allah subhanaw taala number five, many people they ask the woman for in the house to cook a variety of dishes for supper and firstar just making most of the woman spend major portion of the time in the month of Ramadan in the kitchen, rather than spending time in the worship of Allah subhanaw taala the sixth
mistake that people make is that they spend a lot of time in renovation of the house in the month of Ramadan trying to prepare for it rather than worship Allah subhanaw taala the seventh thing that discouraged is many people still having the full night and indulge in activities which are unproductive rather than worshiping Allah subhanaw taala.
Number eight is that many people spend time in excessive socializing after taraweeh after formula number nine is many people spend time in shopping, they spend most part of the night in shopping. Number 10 is that they spent excessive time in eating the full night number 11 lists many of them do spend the night loitering and roaming about rather than worship Allah subhanaw taala and number 12 is that many of them they spend the last Asha the last 10 days preparing for it rather than worshiping Allah subhanaw taala to these extra be discouraged. Me Allah encourage us to spending our time productively during the month of Ramadan. Dr. Zakir Why is it encouraged to acquire religious
knowledge or Islamic knowledge during the blessing month of Ramadan as far as the grain knowledge is concerned? The first guidance given by Allah subhana wa Taala in Dolores Quran, it was not to offer Salah It was not too fast it was not to perform hide, but it was ekra and Allah says in the Quran in Surah Surah Allah Chapman and ethics was number one, it was Mira because the color helical in Santa min Allah was number one and two which means read, recite in the name of the Lord was created was created the human being from something which clings knowledge like substance. The first guidance is given to the humankind in the Glorious Quran was to read. It doesn't only say read, it says read in
the name of thy Lord. That means reading is important. acquiring knowledge is important, but acquiring knowledge of Allah subhana wa Taala of our Deen is utmost important. And Allah says in the Quran in surah mucho de la chapter number 58 Muslim loving it that Allah subhana wa Taala has raised the rank of those people who believe and those who have been granted knowledge.
Allah says in chapter number two was number 269 that Allah subhana wa Taala grants to wisdom to whom he pleases and to wherever He grants wisdom, he raises them in rank.
And it is for those people who understand.
And the Beloved Prophet Muslim also said it's mentioned in say Buhari one, number 100. Number 71 that a beloved Prophet said that Allah subhanho wa Taala to wherever he wants to do good, he makes them them advanced in religious knowledge. That means he gives them religious knowledge. So we were allowed to do a favor on Allah subhanaw taala gives him knowledge of the team, a beloved prophet of Allah Salim said, as mentioned, say Muslim form number 300. Number 4005. Our beloved Prophet said that the moment a person dies, after he dies, all his activities cease except for three.
Whatever good deeds he gets, if he says after the person dies, except for three, a person who has done recurring charity, a person who has given knowledge to other people, and the person whose pious children pray for the parents after that it that means after a person dies, all the good deeds deeds except for three, if a person has done some recurring charity that psutka jharia has done some charity from what fidgets keep on regularly rotating and helping people. So that's a big area. The other is the knowledge that a person gives. enough to give
The knowledge imparts the knowledge somebody has. And he keeps on utilizing that knowledge of Dean in helping humanity. That's the kids area. And the last is the pious children who pray for the deceased parents. Therefore, knowledge is very important and allows us in the Quran in surah nihill. Chapter 16 was number 43. And three ambia chapter number 21 was number seven. First, look holistically in quantum law, that if you do not know, as the person who possesses the knowledge, unless they've asked knowledge about people, so therefore, a person who has knowledge has got a high degree and has chances to pass in the examination room, and he'll have a greater degree in the era.
So that is the reason acquiring knowledge is what's most important, and especially in the month of Ramadan. If a person acquires knowledge, the chances that he acquires the knowledge is higher, and it gives credit to the others. exactly half the answer. backbiting of course is prohibited.
Irrespective whether in Ramadan or outside Ramadan, however, would a woman who complains to her husband, about her mother in law
will she be considered as person who is backbiting regarding backbiting being harassed and the major sin we discussed in the last episode, and there are various Hadith and Quranic verses, it's one of the major sins, but as far as a wife, complaining to the husband, regarding the mother in law, but natural she's speaking something about the mother in law, when the mother in law would not like anyone speaking about. So it does come in the category of
backbiting Is it a sin is a question such incidences where a person complains to someone
and thinks, and feels that once the complaint is given to the person, maybe there is a correction in action, like a wife complained to the husband, about the mother in law, or the wife complained to the husband about a son that he is doing something which are wrong. So the husband will correct being a father of the child, or maybe one of the two brothers, it will come into the father, that my brother determines the thing which is wrong, it's being elaborated behind, but that is so that the father can correct the brother. So these things have been permitted. Because the main reason while doing this thing should not be to mock at someone
or should not be to belittle anyone, but the main purpose should be that the person who the person is complaining about they should be correction act. And if you read the commentary of Mr. manavi
f5, ditto for say, Muslim, which we discussed in the last episode, how did number six to six five, in which the Prophet peace be upon him? He said that you know, what is backbiting? And the Saba said that the messenger knows the best. So the Prophet said that if someone speaks about another person behind the back, which he would not like, that's called backbiting and the Sabbath, what if I'm speaking about the person is true, the prophet said, then it will be called as backbiting. If it's false, it will be called as slandering
to based on this, the commentary of this hadith appointing mama Novi, he said that backbiting, gibbet
in six conditions is permitted.
Number one, he says that, if
something is told to a ruler of the land, or to a judge, complaining against the act of another human being, who has done wrong to the person, maybe he's stolen some belt from you, taking your property away, or an injustice to you. So if you go and complain to a ruler or to a judge against another human being another Muslim, this is permitted because you want the wrong to be undone. So in such cases, deeper this permitted, category number two, that if you complain to someone who you feel that person has an influence on the person who has done an evil act, or a sin, and you feel that he will stop doing that evil act, you're permitted. For example, if you know of a friend, who's very
close to the person who's done evil act, or done a sin, and if you tell him that your friend has insurance or something, or drinking alcohol, and you feel that he has an influence on the other person, and you can prevent him from doing the sin, it's permitted to Kiba. So the question regarding the wife compared to the husband either comes in the first category or the second category, either it's an injustice to the wife, or maybe the wife wants to tell the husband that to correct the mother in law. It may come in first two categories. The remaining four categories, which are no we said what can be done. The third is that if you're approaching a Mufti or a religious
person for some religious advice, so you may say that
My father had done so and so act on my wife has done so and so act and describe that and asked me what should I do? Even in this case, if you avoid naming the father or the mother, all saying the third person that my friend's father is doing so and so it is preferable. But in such cases, while taking religious advice, or a fatwa for a particular act, it's permissible. The fourth category, which Mr. mondovi says that gibberd is permitted, is that when you know of a narrator,
who is a liar, and if he narrates, any Hadith, so it becomes incumbent on you to tell the people that he's alive, or his memories weak, because to protect the shoddy, or, for example, if someone is selling a slave, and if he knows that there are some bad habits in the slave, or maybe he does adultery, so it's complicity, that the person who's selling it should tell to the buyer, that the slave has learned to force or if a person asks you, that he wants to marry another person and ask you how is the person so that becomes obligated to you to tell the wrong points or the points which are not correct in that human being. Our intention here is not to belittle that human being, your
intention here is not to degrade the person or intention is to give the right information, whether for marriage, or for business, in these cases. This is the fourth category where mama Novi says that is permitted. I find the fifth category is concerned that if you know a person is doing a major sin openly, like he's drinking openly, or if he's cheating openly, if he's robbing openly, so then you can tell the public at large that this person is a person who cheats or personal Rob's or personal discontinuously Buddha or there is a religious person who you know who will in fact man you know that he's not a personal truthful. So you're it's permitted that you can speak against the person
and the six categories that while identifying a person, if someone asked you for identification, at that time, to identify the person you may have to use his nickname, which the person may not like, like you may have to tell that the person who shot person who's tall to hear you're using these nicknames to identify the person with the person may not like
mainly find a few heroes if you can avoid this nickname find a friction is the best, but if you can't avoid you can do the moment of we have mentioned fifth categories in which gibberd is permitted. Thank you Dr. Zakir. Next question relates to
a person says if a person watches, TV, serials or news in which women are without the hijab, will this invalidate the first as far as looking at a woman without a job telling her it's not permitted in Islam? Whether during Ramadan Ananda man, whether fasting, not fasting, and Allah says in the Quran in Surah Surah chapter number 24 was Timothy say to the believing man
