Selam Aleykum rahmatullahi wa barakatuh who all praises due to Allah Subhana Allah to Allah the one and the unique here is the one that we worship and it is His blessings that we seek. He is the Lord of the oppressed and the one who answers the call of the week. Today, inshallah Tada, we will actually be concluding our introductory series of lectures. And so after all of these lectures, this is basically part one. All of these lectures we've done is part one, the introduction to the stories of the prophets. So shout Allahu Allah belynda Allah from our next lesson, we will be jumping into the story of Adam it his Salaam, but we still have just a few more things to cover. And again,
introductory I mean, every time I started series, I wish I could go into even more detail but I feel that all of these series that I'm doing, I would say they are intermediate to intermediate to advanced that type of level that hamdulillah and it is enough of an introduction in the English language for you to have a good comprehension of this particular subject insha Allah Tada. So today we have just a few odds and ends to finish off with and then inshallah next lesson we will be the night to either begin the actual stories of the prophets. And one of the main aspects of our belief in the prophets of Allah subhana wa tada is the differentiation between the ranks and not between
the overall messages of the prophets. This is a very key point that we do consider the prophets to be of different ranks and levels, but we do not differentiate in the essence of their teachings and message, we differentiate in the statuses of the prophets. And the Arabic word is probably better to use because this is the Quranic term. The Arabic word is stuff Leal. We make tough leaps between the prophets. But we do not make difference between the prophets. For Bala you fought through a tough deal to have further, we do consider some profits to be better than other profits, and some messengers to be better than other messengers. This is the term tough lead so far, Bada, you know,
34, Bada is to have fun, Bada is just preferred. And so the profits, we do believe that some of them are better off than others. But we do not differentiate or make physical or turf real is the technical term between the profits. So this is going to be our first point for today. And of course, we mentioned in our first or second lecture, the various opinions about the differences between rosu and OB, and I explained to you there that the position that I am following, and that is that every Russell is an MP, but not every nebia is a soul. And that generally speaking, the default is that our soul was sent to a comb or a group that did not believe in him, he had to present his
credentials and his message, whereas the nebby was sent to a people or a group that was expecting him and it wasn't a matter of rejection, he would simply prove that he is then a bit that is promised and then they would accept him, this is the main difference that is mentioned. And again, we'll go back to that lecture, every single definition that is propagated, there is perhaps some gray area or some you know, erode that can be done, there is no definition that is 100% watertight, in the end, Allah xojo knows, but the position that I defended, seems to basically cover 99% of all of the cases and you know, small areas are left, which is not the time to talk about that. But the
point being that rasuna is a higher than a nebby. And by the way, one interesting point here, the great scholar of Islam, Alma, what are the of the fifth century he actually mentioned an interesting point that I didn't mention in that lecture, and that is that Allah calls the the, the angels that visit the prophets, Allah calls them Rasul. And Allah does not call them nebby because not that they had to present their credentials are rejected, but that because our Sood is higher than nebby. And so amongst the angels, Allah never calls any Angel and nebby but Eliza did call God or soon, not because so in that sense, in this one it is used for the angels. The terminal soon does not indicate
that there is a possibility of rejection. On the contrary, it's simply a matter of honor that Allah azza wa jal is calling the angels the highest category and that is our school. The point being back to our topic that Allah azza wa jal explicitly says in the Quran,
That some rustle are higher than others. And some newbies are higher than other newbies. These This is crystal clear in the Koran and there are many verses of them. For example Surah Baqarah verse 253, tilicho rusu for Bala tilka rusu for ba, ba ba whom either about these are the rustle, we have preferred chosen blessed, some of them over others felt vulnerable nagahama about min homerun column Allah, some of them Allah spoke to worauf about the whom
we wrote raised some of them higher. octane is abominable but you know what you know with photos, we gave Jesus the son of Mary clear signs, and we aided him with the Holy Spirit. Now, in this verse, Allah azza wa jal mentions multiple aspects that differentiate first and foremost the verse begins till Karasu foul ball, ba Hamada dog, these are the rustle, we prefer some of them over others. And then Allah mentions one of the ways men home men cunnamulla, some of them Allah spoke to directly such as Musa alayhis salaam and our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and then Allah says water for about 100 yards judge and Allah has raised some of them that are jack, which means the others
were not raised those that are all of the roosters are the highest, but some amongst them are higher than others, and some amongst them are the highest so there is a hierarchy. And Allah mentions of those that are in that hierarchy by name Allah mentions where Isa attained IE seven about Medina balbina
photos. So Isa is mentioned here, which indicates he is of the highest of the high as we shall come to. So this verse is explicit till Caruso Lu fotball nabba Humala about how about the ambia is there also a verse that indicates the Zambia have tough lead, yes, indeed, certain israa verse 55, what are called default ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, then will attain the Buddha's abora. And we have preferred some Nabis over other newbies, and we have given the Buddha's aboard so that wood is a nebby, not a soul, the wood is a nebby, not a rosu. Now, again, some aroma and there is a we're going to come to this one come to it, every time I say a name, chances are there's going to be a spectrum of
interpretation. However, we in this series of lectures, I will conclude that that wood is a Navy.
In a previous series many many years ago, I followed the other minority opinion but this one now it seems to be self evident that that wood is an abbey and so Allah azza wa jal mentions in the Quran, Allah default one by one Nabina, Allah baldon we prefer some ambia over other Zambia, and we gave that who does aboard so this indicates therefore, that getting a message getting a message in and of itself does not make you out of school because there is an abbey and Allah gave him a message and that is this aboard. So him getting this abort did not upgrade him to the status of our school. In this verse, it is explicit that there is a Navy and the fact that he is mentioned what in the
context of our default bond Ababa navy and add about indicates that of the highest ranks of the Gambia is that would because Allah says we have preferred some Zambia over others. And then the first nebby he mentions is that would which indicates that out of all of the Gambia Tao would either his Salaam is one of the highest or else the context would not make sense to mention him over here. So we have the Gambia and there's a hierarchy and then from the Gambia, we have dilution and then there is a hierarchy and then from within the Russell there is a hierarchy and the highest hierarchy is a technical Quranic term, it is called the cooloola Zmi with zei not with a VA, although as me,
meaner Russell, that the group Olo here means the group or the people have an aneurysm is strong fortitude, it means that you have made a determination that's what as a means, as a means you are determined. You have the courage and you have the determination you're not going to be stopped or deterred or scared when you make the decision. isen means to make a decision that is firm and you're going to live up to that decision. And so ASME indicates multiple things. Now where does this term come from? Certain offers 35 Allah xojo says false will come on sadara kulula Azmi Mina Rosalie well at the stage you let him be patient, like the owner as me of the messengers were patient, okay, so
Allah is saying false Spirit come out sobre kulula as me Mina Russell in a pause here, understand just given going to give a quick quick footnote and then come back to the topic. A small group of scholars have said that no, there is no order as a separate rather
This is ODL Azzam is a description of all of the rustle and not just a select and they understand fosse will come out sobre una Azmi Minar Rasul as translating as Be patient like those of fortitude from the prophets of Allah, all the prophets of Allah had fortitude. So the technical definition here is that the min here is by ni or TF CD and not edu. So if you know your Arabic so the min here phosphatic Massaro last min min or rusu here, they can say min here, it doesn't indicate a part it actually indicates all of so this interpretation, which is a minority, they don't believe that there is the 500,000 they say all the profits are organized. So it is an adjective that all the profits
have fortitude and have strong determination. However, this is a minority, and I'm simply putting it out there so that you are aware, the vast majority of our scholars of tafsir are scholars of theology, and are scholars of the history of the profits, the cost of Serbia, the vast majority of them, they have this position which is a sha Allah, the common sense one and the one that is indicated by the text, as I will mention, because see, the point is that there is no Hadith that says, There are five Buddhism, there is no verse of the Quran even that says there are five of them. It's not that explicit. And so because of this, you have some variety of interpretation. However,
the majority of scholars understand that Allah azzawajal is praising a select category of prophets, and he is calling them all as him the prophets of determination. And he is saying to the Prophet, Muhammad Sallallahu, Allah, he was telling me Allah Sula, Allah, you should have the same level of sobor, like this group did, because he is a part of that group, he is of that group. So if he wants to be amongst them, that he must act in that manner, as well. And by the way, the fact that not all the prophets are onanism, is actually very explicit in the Quran. One can say yeah, one can say it is explicit, because Allah xojo negates this very noun, awesome, the very noun he negates it from
our father, Adam alayhis salam, the fact that he negates it from one prophet and then he says, Be patient, like the Buddha as some of the prophets were, indicates that not all of the profits are in quote included in this verse of circle a half. I hope you understood that if not, then listen to that point again. Allah says in Surah Taha
what are the hidden a either Adam and makapuu financier, why am Nigeria Allahu Isaac, we made Adam a covenant to do. And he forgot about he neglected that covenant, and we did not find him to be of Isom, so the determination was not the way that the prophets the five had that azim was not there. So Allah negates our father Adam having that level of, of willpower, or else you would not eaten from the tree. I mean, it's common sense that our father, Adam, as we explained in our last lecture, the notion of profits, committing sins and whatnot. And, you know, as I explained that there's a whole bunch of controversy and a lot of emotionalism whereas in reality, there should not be it's a
very straightforward topic, but you know, people's emotions cloud and they start thinking in a different way. And so, my position and the position of really a majority of odema, is that the profits may commit a one off mistake, they might slip into a certain type of error, that doesn't negate their dignity, it doesn't negate their their, their their, their good nature is just a one off mistake that makes them better when they repent to Allah. And as we said, Our father Adam is the best example for this. And then those that have other opinions, they have to reinterpret or read in or or take some interpretation that, frankly, it requires a bit of a tickle of a bit of reading. And
the point is that the verse is very clear. Allah is negating the concept of azim from our father, Adam, and then Allah is saying a certain cough, be patient, like the old as some of the prophets of the messengers were patient, which means that this is not all the profits, we're talking about a select group of profit. So who are these select groups? How do we know they're only five? Well, we find this from the reports of the tab your own in particular, the reports of the tab your own, the students have you been above I did not find the list of five coming from earlier than this. And again, I could have missed a few resources out there, so avanos best, to the best of my knowledge.
There is no explicit correlation of the five names and the term oralism in a saying of a Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, or from any of the Sahaba to the best of my knowledge. I did find it in the students of the Sahaba are taught and Qatada and others. They did say that
The old ASTM are five and then they listed them know how to his Salam Ibrahim alayhis salam Mousavi, his Salam reciting his Salaam when whenever you know Mohammed sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, so these are the five illusionism No, Ibrahim Musa Risa and our Prophet salallahu it who was selling, these are the highest category of Russell and Russell are higher than ambia. And then ambia have a hierarchy. Now, how do we get these five names? Actually, interestingly enough, the Koran in at least two verses explicitly mentions these five by name one after the other. And there seems to therefore be an indication that these five do occupy a special status, a higher status so of these
verses suited up verse seven, wait a minute, maybe in me southpaw home when Minka when we knew him what Ebrahim, we're most worried. 70 million reasserted iserver seven, we took a covenant, a mythical strong covenant from the prophets before you from we took it from you. Yeah. rasulillah. And from Noah, and Ibrahim and Musa and ERISA, literally the five are mentioned explicitly by name, and that's it. Only these five. If this verse would the only verse it would be enough, but there is yet another verse as well. And that is Surah Shura verse 13. pseudo surah verse 13. Shout out I documented Dini ma wasabi he knew one one day the ohana alayka warm I was saying happy Brahim. Well,
more Sir, what is an acclaimed Medina what are the four Rafi Allah has legislated for you the religion and he has commanded and instructed you with exactly what he has commanded nor so you are a sort of LA and noi and Ibrahim and Moosa and Isa, all of you have been told the same thing to establish the religion and do not divide yourselves in the soul. These five are very, very explicitly linked together. And therefore the term owner azim which is mentioned selected as I was only mentioned once in the Quran, in the context of the prophets phosphoricum are sobre una azmoun are also so this is mentioned only once, but then other two verses mentioned five names explicitly
and the tab your own and after them put the two or two together and they said the organism or these five, by the way, what are the characteristics of the journalism? Well, the Koran mentions if you look to the Quran, who exactly are the journalism in Surah Allah embrun verse 186, Allah subhana wa tada says, What anthos Guru what who for in the carbonizes mill or more, if you have patience, and you have the taqwa of Allah, this is of the essence of having Isom in matters. So Allah mentioned sobor and taqwa. So, the height of item of being of strong will and determination, it necessitates that you have the ultimate patience and of course patience is explicitly mentioned in the verse of
surah. Allah half that Allah says false bill come out sobre una Azmi Minar Russell. So the server is the most important thing to be of the organism. And then after that comes the concept of taqwa and also Allah mentions and pseudo lokman that was where Allah masaba in the coming eyes mill omo. Once again the concept of subud is mentioned. Be patient about what happens to because that is from the item of matters. And Allah mentions the concept of being kind and forgiving that what among sabara will offer up in the Colombian eyes mill or whoever is patient and forgives, that is from the prism of the matter. So putting it all together to be of the liberalism, you have to perfect patience, no
doubt about it. In the face of persecution in the face of adversity of adversity. In the face of all trials and tribulations, you must not waver and you must remain steadfast and firm that is the number one characteristic of * and then you must also practice dakwah and then you must also be of those who forgive where the forgiveness comes. So all of this comes under the concept of Buddhism and even taymiyah remarks that the greatest of all of the earlier of Allah or the Gambia and the greatest of the Gambia or the Russell and the greatest of the Russell or the old azim end quote. So this is something that it's very straightforward and inshallah to Allah, I hope you all understand
this. Now. So we mentioned therefore that there is a hierarchy and within the hierarchy, the Gambia amongst them, that will then others are of the highest and then we start with the Russell and the Russell have a hierarchy and then have the highest of them are the five now within the five within the five we know that two amongst them occupy high
Even within this five and these are our Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and his father Ibrahim alayhis salam, and that is because Allah subhana wa tada chose the both of them to be the holy water her the law who Ibrahima Halima and Khalid is the highest level. And in a hadith in Sahih Bukhari our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to Abubakar, so do that, if I could take a family, I would take you but Allah has taken me as a colleague, so I cannot take you as a family. So Holly is a special bond that you cannot have, except with one. And so Allah azza wa jal has chosen Ibrahim at the hurried in his time, and he's chosen our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam as the
hudy in his time, and these are the only two people that Allah azza wa jal chose to have that concept of healer and failed as the highest level. Absolutely. And so from within this, of the five, the two are the highest and then of course within the two, we firmly believe and it is a fundamental pillar of our Eman And there can be no denying or doubt about this, that our Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is indeed the best of the best and the highest of the high, he is the say you do one or the dumb, he is the leader of all of the children of Adam, he shall have the flag or the banner that represents humanity on the Day of Judgment, all of mankind shall come to him for shefa he was the
one who led the prophets Insider, every single Prophet, even his ancestors, Adam, and and is married, and Ibrahim were behind him, every single prophet trade behind him, he was the Imam of the Gambia and the mousseline and that's not just a symbolic gesture, it is assigned to all of us that he is the greatest of the great be who will meet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So, this is the what we know of the hierarchies of the Prophet. So this is very clear that of Lille is there okay? How about two or three? How about differentiation, we do not make the flick between them. We make tough when there is a hierarchy some profits are better than others, but we do not differentiate in the
sense of differentiating their substance their essence differentiating the fact that they all originate from a laws message that Allah sent all of them the Quran explicitly forbids to free between the prophets. In fact, three times in the Quran, Allah uses the phrase learn to Federico by in a hidden we do not make the freearc between any of the profits. So clearly toughly, enter three are two different things. The Quran affirms stuff lead in multiple verses and the Quran prohibits the free in multiple verses. So please brothers and sisters understand the simple point and a lot of misunderstandings will be solved in certain Bukhara Allah subhana wa tada says, amen Nebula he will
mount was Elena will Mozilla ever live rahima is Merida was helpful Jacobo was wealthy without a musawah Isa one abuna robbing him learn ofor real kobane hiding minimum lannoo fairbury aku VEDA after mentioning a long list of prophets, the Quran says in Surah Baqarah 136 and also the same phrase in Surah. Allah and Ron verse 84 Learn to further Cobain hadn't been home, we do not differentiate between any of them. So these are two verses and then the third time this phrase occurs, it is in the powerful verses that conclude suicide abakada our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam praised those verses. And he said that Allah has gifted me those verses from under the throne
and we believe those verses are of the most powerful and have the most efficacious in warding away from the shouting and the gyms
so it's the Baccarat verse 285 Allah azza wa jal mentions and arasu Bhima own Zilla la mirada he will move on called on Amina biLlahi woman it will go to be he was really he then what? Learn who for real Kobe in a hajimeru soon we do not differentiate between any of his Russian Okay, now what then is the free? What is the essence of the free? The Quran itself defines the free the Koran defines to free. How does it define it? Surah Nisa first 150 So, if you want to learn and by the way, this is one of the techniques that we need to do when we understand the Quran. When we interpret the Koran. The first thing that we do we turn to the Quran to explain the Koran. If there
is a verse that we want to know what it means. The first source that we turn to is the Quran itself. We see what the Quran is saying about the Koran about a particular phrase and of course
Ron itself has clarified has explained what is the frick Surah Nisa, verse 150. very explicit that Allah says in the Koran that in the Medina kuruvilla, he was really those who reject a law and who reject the messengers while you're all alone and they say no mini will be bound in one a crew Bowden, we're gonna believe in some profits, and we shall reject other profits. And they say that what you read in a new Ferrari, a Cobain Allah, He will lose to the heat. And they try to differentiate between Allah and between the messengers of a law. So what is the free, then to free up is to say, We shall believe in some and reject others. That's what the freedom is not to say that
some profits are better than others. The free is to negate that some of them are profits, some of them have been sent by Allah subhanho wa Taala. And this is, of course, the cardinal sin of Christianity itself and also of Judaism, that they have rejected. The Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam even if they claim to believe in Allah, you cannot truly believe in Allah. When you reject the Messenger of Allah, true belief in Allah necessitates that you will accept all of the messengers of Allah, and anybody who rejects a messenger. As we said in many lectures ago, anybody who rejects a messenger has rejected Allah subhanho wa Taala. And anybody who rejects one messenger
has rejected all of them. Allah says in the Quran, kuzava Tobu, hayneedle moto celene, the people of North they rejected all of the messengers Subhana Allah, they only got one and know who was the first and know who was the only one sent to them. Yet Allah use the plural, the people have no rejected all of the messengers, because rejecting no hurry his salam, even he is one rejecting nor is tantamount to rejecting them all. And so Allah mentions in the plural, the people of North rejected all the master interests, the point being the Koran is very clear what is the free, and that is to believe in some and to deny others. Therefore, to conclude at this point, while they're
still one point left in this point as well, that I said that the Quran affirms stuff and rejects the free, so tough deal, we respect all of them, but we believe there is a hierarchy amongst them to free up is that we reject some, and we accept some and the Quran affirms the deal and negates
it. And by the way, a similar thing can be said of the Quran itself. Right? The Quran is read most blesseds speech, there is no speech that is equivalent to it. Now is all the Quran exactly the same and blessing. No, some Koran is more blessed than other Koran is a courtesy our prophets Assam said which is the greatest verse in the whole Quran. So ITIL kursi is not like any other verse, this is stuff real, but a free of would be that. You know, somebody would say, Oh, this verse unfortunately we have this unfortunate anybody who does this is not a Muslim, that anybody who says For example, I read the last week I would have believed that some you know person said any verse about violence and
Jihad This is not from Allah, we have to take it out of the Koran Subhana Allah Yani, this is a rejection of Allah and His Messenger This is what the video is right? The three of means to reject one of the whole one I have the whole book to reject it this is to free one messenger one prophet to reject this is the free the Free Will means you will prefer some and you respect all you believe in all you will think some is more blessing than others, yes, that is allowed. Now, before we move on to the next point, there is some clarification that is required because there are some traditions that it could be understood from them. That even tough lien is problematic. Okay, you guys know
following me we set the free Okay, that's we understood it, we left it now we move on. There are one or two ahaadeeth in which it is possible to miss understand that even toughly should not be done. And we have to therefore clarify those are Hadith in light of the verses about the fleet so that we then form a correct interpretation. What are some of these headings? Well, the first one is a very interesting one. It is a Hadeeth inside bodies.
And it goes as follows that there was a Jewish merchant selling something to a Muslim sales person, a Muslim buyer, and the Muslim buyer gave him a price and the Jewish person
was not happy at this price. And he said that I swear by the one who chose Moosa over the entire creation, you know that you know this price is not good enough and whatever right so he wanted to move on and say something, but what on earth did he use? You know we give an oath we say I swear by the Quran I swear by the Lord of the cab, you know, I swear by Allah azza wa jal. So you give a person an oath. So, they are who the Jewish person because he was Jewish, obviously, he said, I swear by the one Eliza gel, who chose Moosa over all of the creation now obviously as a Jewish person, that is what he believes that Allah azza wa jal chose Moosa over the entire creation. Now
hearing this, somebody became so enraged that he punched or he hit this Jewish merchant, and he said, How dare you say this? Allah azza wa jal chose our Nabhi over Moosa. Okay, so Allah azza wa jal chose our Nabhi as number one, not Jordan, Abby, okay. Now, the Jewish person became so enraged that he marched to the masjid that the profits of the law while he was selling them, and he said that do we not have security in this land? Do we not have a covenant that we're going to be treated with dignity? And yet, this Muslim fellow, he punched me he hits me, okay. Now, the profitsystem asked, no, by the way, before we even move on, well, like what an amazing eye opening incident here
and it's in Bali, and Muslim is like one of the most authentic, the Jewish merchant knows that he's going to get justice with our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And he is the one that has said, that I swear by the one that has chosen Moses over everybody else. Subhan Allah, think about the implications of this right? That the Jewish person understands that this messenger he doesn't believe is the messenger, this person was going to treat him with justice, despite the fact that he has given an oath that might be interpreted as putting him down Subhan Allah. So he marched to the Prophet system, he lodged a complaint, the prophet system said to the man, why would you do this? In
other words, and by the way, this shows us the reality of our faith that all faiths are protected under the Islamic constitution, just because you are a person of another faith, you have the rights of dignity, the rights to be treated fairly, the rights to buy and sell all of this is there. And that's why the Jewish person complained, he said, Do we not have the rights that you promised us? And yet this man, you know, smacked me, he hit me, you know, and I want to get my rights back. And so the profitsystem asked him that Why would you do this? Why would you hit this man and the man and the man said Yasuda law, he said, I swear by the one who chose Moosa over everybody else, and I got
very angry, and I said, How dare you say this, rather, you should swear by the one who chose you. You're a sort of lob over everybody else. He's trying to praise the prophets as we're trying to say, he or she will I'm on your side, you know, how can you side with this guy? I'm on your side. I'm the one praising you. And he meant there's no question he was sincere in his paradigm. This the Profit System, his face became scowled, he became visibly angry. And this was very rare that a Prophet salallahu idea he was setting them did this, that he became angry. And he said that do not learn to fog due to Bane. ambia illa. Now here's where it becomes as I said, these problematic phrases learn
to fall through and the Quran says what are the four burner babina at about when the Quran says still closer to four burner Bala about and here we have a hadith which is in Bali and Muslim law to fondue diner and BIA Allah do not make definitely between the Gambia of Allah. And then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, when the Trumpet will be blown, all who are in the heavens and earth will fall unconscious except whomever Allah wills and then the Trumpet will be blown again, and I shall be of the first who is resurrected, but I will see Moosa ahead of me. And he is already holding on to the pegs of the throne of Allah. And I do not know that whether because he fainted in
this world when he asked to see Allah and Allah showed himself to the mountain and the mountain trembled, and he fell into unconscious that because of that unconsciousness, was he protected from being unconscious in the next world? Or was he resurrected before me? Even I do not know SubhanAllah. So the point being, he gently rebuked the Muslim he was visibly angry. But he said to this Muslim Ansari, don't do this again.
And he praised Moosa in front of the Jewish person Subhan Allah. Well, I mean, you know, the entire Sierra is a testament to the truth of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Every Hadith indicates his sincerity and his humility and this is one of them that if he wanted to, if he always will not what would a false prophet do? a false prophet would say, Yes, you are right on Sorry, I am the best or Jewish person should never have said this apologize and go back. On the contrary, he got angry at the Ansari and he said Don't ever do this again. And he praised moose up by mentioning a characteristic that he himself does not have. And that is that when he is resurrected, Musashi will
be ahead of him and he will holding on to the throne of Allah azza wa jal, and our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, I don't know that was He resurrected before me? Or did he never lose consciousness in the first place? And then he said in the Hadith learn to follow through by in the NBA a lot that do not care to make tough the so this is one Hadith that is used, the other Hadith that is used, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that lie
that none of you should say on a follow me newness even matter that I am better than Eunice or Jonah. The one of the will UNICEF tomato, Jonah, the one of the will now that's another headache none of you should say that I now who is the I hear? If by i is meant the one speaking. So the profitsystem is saying to you, Hey, you, you should not think that you are better than Eunice. So no one amongst you should say I am better than Jonah because Jonah, you know, walked away and Jonah went into the belly of the whale. None of you should think you're better than Jonah. Okay, that makes sense. Not a problem at all that Jonah unicity has set up he is an OB. And whatever happened
or didn't happen, he is way better than any amongst us. So if that is the interpretation, no problem. However, some other narrations of this hadith they mentioned that the prophets of Allah Why did he was sent him said that none of you should say that I meaning the Prophet of the Lord is better than us even better. So and he mentions us by name. Because obviously, amongst all the prophets, we know that universally Sam was reprimanded out of all of the prophets, our Father, Adam, and Eunice and others were oppressed reprimanded, and so the stories about them are a little bit different, and therefore, the notion might come to the person who doesn't know any better that maybe
Eunice isn't very you know, whatever, you can feel the adjectives and so the person is saying don't do that. Do not do that. Nobody should say that I meaning the profitsystem is better than Eunice even better now. These two are Hadeeth the second one if you interpret the AI to be the profitsystem again, if you interpret the ITV the one speaking me and you it's not problematic, but definitely the first one where the Prophet system explicitly says law to follow the rules do not make me better than Moosa and the second one do not say that I am better than Eunice even better. Now how does one reconcile between these two and there's one or two others Hadeeth versus the Quranic verses because
the Quranic verses are very, very clear, right? Till Karasu for Ba ba ba ba Humala about right? And Allah xojo says, what about the football now? bounderby, you know, all about? So it's very, very explicit. How do we reconcile? There's actually many opinions, and I'm just going to mention three or four, and then conclude with one that is the most, the most obvious one. So we reconcile, first and foremost by one opinion is that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said what he said before, Allah told him that he was the best. And so before he had this knowledge, before he had this knowledge, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam thought that all of them were exactly the same,
and therefore, because they were exactly the same, so then he said, that nobody should consider me to be better than Eunice and nobody should consider that I am better than balsa. So he did not know. And then when he found out then then he didn't do this. Now, this position, honestly, to be brutally honest, it doesn't make any sense for multiple reasons of the most obvious amongst them is that there are murky verses, for example, certain Israel mentions that that allows Oh, Jen mentions that for burger balvinder been at about we chose some Nabhi over others when a tough lead. This is a Mackie and this incident is taking place in Medina. And so clearly, because it's a mucky verse, and
also these aspects of theology are obvious, the entire sutras about the prophets, majority of them are in Makkah. And so this seems to be a very weak interpretation that he didn't know. And later on, he found out this does not seem to be the case. Another interpretation given is that our profit system is simply being modest.
And he doesn't want to appear to be bragging. And therefore he is saying that don't prefer me over the rest because, you know, humility is a part of Islam and email. And so being humble, and that is an interpretation. Now, the response to this is that being humble is indeed a part of Islam and eemaan. But it can never be done at the expense of the truth. If you must do something that indicates a blessing that you have for the sake of telling the truth or spreading the religion, that takes priority, and that is why our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said so many things about himself. That might if you didn't have Eman, you might think I would have allowed the hypocrites and
others might think this is a boast, but it is obviously not to boast. So in the Hadith he says that unless say you do what are the Adam yomo Pm it was for her what bat he will be ye de la Hamdi well for her that I am the leader of the children of Adam on the Day of Judgment. And I don't say this out of pride. He literally says, I'm not saying this boastfully and I shall have the banner for mankind on the Day of Judgment. And I don't say this out of pride, and all of mankind shall come to me and I do not say this out of pride. Why is he saying I don't say this out of pride? I don't say this out of arrogance. Why is he saying this? Because he needs to tell us his status. Because if he
didn't tell us his status, who else would he needs to tell us his status because Allah sent him and our knowledge of Allah and the Shetty out, and his status comes from him sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Therefore, the claim that he is saying, don't do this out of modesty would only make sense if what he said is true. But it's not true, he is the best. And therefore, this as well does not make sense. The third interpretation, which is an interesting one, and I'm sympathetic to it, and it's very close to the fourth, or third and fourth of basically any almost overlapping, 80% overlapping and there's an element of overlap to both of them.
The third interpretation, and this is evident to me and others followed this, they said
you may prefer a profit and talk about the ranks of a prophet, when you don't mention the other prophet who has been performed, he has been preferred over Okay, so we should not say that Musa alayhis salam is a better profit, then University, his center, we should not do that. This is the third opinion that that makes, that makes not something that is becomes awkward. And the Hadeeth and Heidi says, not to fault the Rooney, Allah Moosa Don't make me better than most. So we have a name and a name. So the third opinion says that we do not mention the name of the bull, we don't mention the name of the one whom we are preferring over. And therefore, if you don't mention the name, you
can praise as much as you want. So we say the Prophet sallallahu wasallam is the best of all the prophets ism is this he is that he shall he led the prayer of the prophets and prayers, you know, he did all of this, we just keep on mentioning without mentioning the one that is in contrast to that, okay, this is an interesting opinion. And perhaps there's an element of truth, Allahu Allah, the position that to me makes the most sense. And this is the position of many great aroma of the past is that what is prohibited is when you praise a prophet, within the context of denigrating another prophet, okay, so if you say something correct about the first Prophet, and want to contrast and
compare with the second Prophet, and the context is to lower the status of the second prophet. Now you have gone beyond the bounds, and you have brought in a type of rivalry that should not exist. All the prophets are on the same team. All the prophets are on the same team, the team of Allah is a witch. So for somebody to come and bring about the tension that this prophet is better than that one, and try to bring that one down. And if you look at the context of both the unit prohibition, and the more separation, this makes sense, because the the the the Sahabi rhodiola. One, he did it out of love. When he said don't say this, how dare you say this, our profit is better than your
profit, automatically. There's a bit of a but a bit of a put down, right? Not that it's intended, but the context might suggest that
So our Prophet sallallahu wasallam comes along and says, law to fault the loony. Agha Musa Don't say I am better in contradistinction to Moosa in this context. And therefore, the prohibition of tough lien is only when the tough deal is done with the intention or the context of lowering the rank of the other. And that's how we can reconcile between. That's how we can reconcile between the Quranic verses that are very explicit. And the Hadith are explicit about the blessings of the prophets of the law, why you send them and about the blessings of many prophets. For example, our Prophet system said that I saw the prophets on the Day of Judgment, some of them had large Alma, some of them
small, some of them had none, no omens, right. So he's clearly talking about the differences between the prophets, they're not all the same, there is toughly. And we know for a fact that our profit system is the best of all, because he told us this. So we have the Quran, we have the sooner and we have the unanimous consensus of the oma that our profit system is the best and that some profits are better than others. Now we have these a Hadith, that if we take them in isolation, they might contradict the Quran, and these Hadith and Iijima so then what do we do we interpret these a hadith in light of these other sources. And this shows us how we interpret our text. By the way, one of the
main causes of misunderstanding or of deviation is to take one evidence and ignore it from all others to take one idea or one Hadith, and derive what you want, and completely neglect everything else. And this is one simple example. If you were to quote Sai Baba and say, No, no, no, we do not make the leap between the prophets because the Prophet system said so that's forbidden Allah Moosa, and don't say I am better than Yudhisthira Mata, he said this, so we don't do anything, but then you're neglecting the Quran and Sunnah and the Juma and so many statements of the scholars of the past. So therefore, the correct interpretation that Allah knows best is that we do not make the one
that often is done within the context of denigration, or there might be a hint of lowering the status of the other prophet. So had a lot brothers and sisters, we're all human beings. In the beginning of my lecture today, I said, this would be the final introductory lecture and I kind of big that up, here I am, and I have an entire four pages left, and time is up. And so this means that I made a mistake. This is not the final lecture, we're all human beings and to her is human to forgive is divine, we're actually going to have another introductory lecture. And maybe Allah knows best when I do that, I might discover other things. So I'm, I'm wary to say that will be the final
lecture. But right now, my intention is that we have one other introductory lecture and shout out to Allah because we still have to discuss methodologies and sources we have to discuss who has written about the stories of the prophets in early times, what are our source materials, we have to discuss as well. The very, very interesting and also hotly contested topic of how much should we take from the Old Testament and New Testament? Or should we even take at all do we go to you know, the books of the old testament do we go to Deuter Deuteronomy and numbers and, and and you know, the prophets and the books and whatnot? Do we go to the Mishnah, which is one of the Jewish source books, and we
then narrate, or do we simply restrict ourselves to the Quran and Sunnah. And of course, each one of these methodologies has been adopted by various scholars. So that also needs to be discussed and also the methodology I will adopt for my the rest of my series that I'm supposed to do. And so, this is not the conclusion of our introductory lectures. inshallah, we will come back and do at least one inshallah, and you never know, I might say, over there decide to add some more because in the end of the day, brothers and sisters knowledge is a never ending ocean. And the more you sail in this ocean, the more you realize the horizons are more than what you thought they were, okay, every time
you go a little bit, and you think, oh, I've read somewhere, I might see land, but then you go deeper and you realize, no, I can go here, I can go there. Knowledge is a never ending ocean. And the more you learn, the more you realize how little you know. So we have to stop somewhere in our discussions in all the topics that I do. So as I said, it's my own, you know, decision methodology to what level we're going to go to in these series. But I did want to cover the topic of methodology, the topic of using what is called israa. liat. These are Judeo Christian sources and the controversy surrounding that and also some of the more important books that that have been
written in this genre. So that will inshallah be our next session, and it might be the last one so let me be humble now and not definitively claim but it will be the last one. Until then, jack como lo halen was set on YT comportements. Will law eat robotic casual? Yeah. Jeff
