Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu. All Praise be to Allah. Amanda Rahim. Allah Allah Ameen not only falls except with his knowledge, he is aware of what is apparent and what is unseen. He is the Lord of the majestic throne and the seven heavens and the earth and all that is in between. He sent to us a light and a mercy, the one who was called a solid, and I mean to him shall we return. And on judgment day, all of the creation shall convene. So we ask his forgiveness and our sins to wipe clean. Today, shallow to Allah will be starting three sewers and we're going to be doing three suitors at least for the next five or six days, and then inshallah even more so because
we're going to have to pack up towards the end as we know. And we're still continuing one of the three power scenes Suraj Remember, we talked when we started the sewers that begin with bossy meme or tahseen and today we are doing a beginning with sudut the number which is the only surah in the Quran that begins with Paul seen the one before it posse mean the one after a posse meme garcin is only inserted and numbered. And these are the only three studios that began with this combination Thorazine and surratt. And Neville is called the verse of the ant because of the mention of the ant and so they might, as we will mention soon, and it was revealed in a similar timeframe ashada before
it with perhaps some of the verses coming down in Medina, it is 93 verses long, around half of Jews nine pages. And the primary goal is to prove the Quranic revelation to our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And the secondary goal is also to prove the Day of Judgment. Also, the surah has a sub motif of the blessings of knowledge and you will see this in many verses if you read this sooner. Now, with this motif in mind, you will find a number of verses talking about the importance of knowledge. And the sutra begins by describing the characteristics of those who believe in a law and those who reject a lust of Hana Watada, followed by a prelude about the story of Musa versus seven
to 14 before moving on to the primary story of the whole surah. And that is to lay man from verse 16, to 44. And this is the only section in the whole Koran that discusses the story of the Queen of Sheba, the only tower, the whole Koran that her story is mentioned. The story of course, this setup begins with the power of Suleiman and the blessings that allows the widget had given to a man that we taught him multiple times, we taught him the language of the birds, we gave him armies of animals and gins. And when the armies of Sulayman passed by the value of ants, so the ants then told their fellow colleagues of The ants go take protection, or else Solomon's forces will trample over you,
and because Solomon could understand the language of the jinn, and so he laughed at the innocence of the ants, and he asked Allah subhana wa tada what color be out there in the Quran erotica, lithium de la vida oualidia. And he asked Allah to grant him the capability and blessings to be thankful. Notice beautiful dry here, he didn't say thank you, Oh Allah, he said, Oh Allah make me amongst the thankful Allah grant me the capability to be thankful. So Pamela, this is how we truly show our thanks to Allah is that we even ask Allah to be amongst the thankful because our thankful Miss will not come unless Allah subhana wa tada makes us amongst the thankful. And then of course the story of
the famous Queen of Sheba. Her name of Bill Cleese is something that is found in all of our books of Tafseer in history, but the Quran and Sunnah does not mention the name, Bill case, but she was a famous Queen, who was well known in Arabian history. In fact, the Yemeni kingdoms were the most famous kingdoms of all of Arabia. And the Queen bill Cleese was known for her wisdom for her for her acumen as a leader and in fact, she is a role model lady even in the Koran, that Allah subhana wa tada praises her quite explicitly and a number of times in what she is doing here. So for example, she takes the advice of her counsel that call it a u haul mela Oh, see, she said, Oh, my visitors.
Tell me what do you think I should do? So she wasn't a dictator, which is unfortunately the common norm and so many lines of our times one man, and that's it. No, that's not the best way to rule. She's bringing groups of experts and she's saying what do you think we should do? And she says, you know that I don't do anything without consultation and a lot praises in the Koran rulers who go home Sure. albina Home Rule those who bring consultative efforts when they enact any
Judgment. And she states of fact, a very famous fact in the Koran or call it Indian munakata. Hello Korean have said to her when the Kings enter a town she's worried for the man is going to attack. So she says the general rule when the king enters a town, they take the most elite and the noble and they make them the most humiliated. So it shows us learning from history. She is well versed, and then she employs a tactic that, let me send the idea. Let me send a gift, which is a type of bribe she's trying to bribe so they might as a neutral tactic once a man sent her a letter, of course, the letter said in the home and so the man went no Bismillah R Rahman r Rahim that Solomon sends a
letter and he addresses himself as a man. And then he says, I begin in the name of a law that Amanda Rahim look here at the humility and modesty of Suleiman. And when she receives the letter, she recognizes the nobility. That's why she says that is that a Kareem Letcher has come to me. So she could sense the nobility of Solomon from the wording of the lecture. Never does anyone humble himself in front of Allah, except that Allah raises himself in the eyes of the people. And so the Queen already felt a sense of nobility, who is this person that's wanting me to submit without fighting, so she tries to bribe Sulaiman and she sends him some very magnificent gifts. And of
course, the Yemeni kingdom was well known for its power, for it's accurate for everything, they had everything, the hood with the hoop, he said, Well, OTF, when coolly she has been given a bit of everything, so she tried to bribe so the man and then so a man says he will be doing any remodeling from an attorney Aloha, you remember article, do you tempt me with money for what Allah has given me of my Prophethood, a new Buddha and knowledge is better than what he has given you. So the blessings of knowledge are always better than the blessings of this world. So the mind is saying what I have is infinitely better than what you think I'm going to be tempted by money. So He then said, I'm
going to send a an army, but let me see, maybe give me one more chance, let me see if she can recognize who is she dealing with. This is not another king of this world. This is a prophet, this is somebody who Allah has sent. And so he he asked his armies who amongst you can bring me her magnificent throne, before she comes to me who can bring that throne to me. And so if read of the jinn there it is the most dastardly the most demonic, the most powerful as well of the of the evil entities of the gin, the gin are not a one different of one rank, there are many different levels and ranks of the gin. We don't want to go down that tangent of good many lectures about the gin and
black magic, you can listen to them online. And so there are a fleet, which was the worst of the worst said that I can bring her chair back to you, before this gathering is over before you finish your daily routine and whatnot, before you go back for your rest. I can bring it to you. And then somebody who had knowledge, which indicates that this is a human being that they're afraid said I can do it, another person said, I can bring it for you before even you blink your eye before even you look around, and I can bring it for you so so the man gave him permission. Now what did this knowledge what was it a lot of books go into details which we do not know what it was. But it seems
to be that this was a righteous man whom Allah subhana wa tada had given some karamat some blessings to, and we believe in the blessings and the many miracles of the righteous. And this was a person who was a righteous person, and Allah blesses karma to whomever He wills. And so he, with the help of a law, he managed to procure this large,
this large chair or this large Throne of the queen of trees, and when it came, so the man said, disguise it a little bit, change a few colors, you know, do it this and that. So that let's see if she recognizes this or not. And so when she came socially man said, Is this your throne? Does this look like your throne? And she said, under hoo, hoo, it looks very similar. I mean, she didn't affirm. She didn't negate, like, it looks very much like it. I mean, so she's wondering what is going on here. And then Allah says, that she already knew beforehand of Sulayman status was said to her Makana, taveuni mundo de la, but what prevented her from accepting was her people and the power
and the worried the false gods that she worship, so that prevented her and this shows us that a lot of times people recognize the truth, but what prevents them is the impediments of society, the impediments of if I embrace Islam, I'm going to lose my power I'm going to lose my status people are gonna make fun of me so deep down inside she knew so a month was a profit of a lot but she still she's not able to give up right now. And so one other thing is done. So Taylor had hola salad, verse 43, common enter the palace that the gin had built for so a man and it was more magnificent than anything she had seen. And when she entered it, it was so beautiful. So her eyes were just dazzled.
And she thought that the the crystals that she was walking on was water. And so she lifted up her skirts. And so some Vizier said to her, no, no, it's not the water.
In salt Homura de mercado kawari it is a palace paved with crystal glass. She had never seen all of the power that she had was nothing compared to the power of La blessed sued Avon. And so she realized that I am up against a force that is truly from Allah subhanho wa Taala. And so she asked forgiveness, and then embraces Islam right there on the spot. And this shows us her intelligence, it shows us that eventually she did return to Allah subhanho wa Taala. The next section of the surah verse 45, to 53, we learn of the prophet SAW, and his people and again, his story has come many times in the Quran. These were people as Allah says here who could call over their houses into the
mountains, and they challenged Allah for a miracle. And so Allah subhana wa Taala took those mountains that they carved houses into, and he created life and he created a camel out of that. But Allah says in the surah, there were nine evil people who caused much fitna and chaos and they hatched a scheme to kill silence. And so from there Keifa can ask me to marry him that look at what the consequences of their plans were, that we destroyed all of them fertility taboo to him how we are to be more vulnerable. These are their dwellings empty now because of what they had done. And to these To this day, we see those empty dwellings if you don't, if you're not able to go there, look
on Google and you will find this pictures of those dwellings To this day, you will find their pictures and Allah says in the Quran, look at those empty houses now because of their arrogance against Allah subhanho wa Taala. The surah then moves on to the people of Route again 50 4058 so many times in the Quran. But in this section, we are told one other facet about this, this evil nation that one of the reasons why they were punished so severely, verse 56, they said, get the people of loot out of our village that in the homeowner sorry, you and your daughter Harun, these are people, they want to cleanse and purify us. So Pamela, you know, it's one thing to commit evil
and to know that you're committing evil. And if you know you're committing evil, that is at least an element of goodness in you that you recognize evil. However, imagine one thing that you are so evil, that you're rebelling in filth, and you desire to remain filthy, and you hate the very notion of repentance, you hate the very notion of becoming clean. And so that was the status of the people of loot. Generally speaking, Allah does not punish the one who recognizes his or her guilt and even has some desire to repent, at least at some point. There is some faith in that person. But the one who says no, I'm I'm evil, and I know I'm evil, and I want to remain evil. This was the status of the
people of loot. And so the one who despises piety, how can that person expect any hope versus 59 to 65 of the sutra are a series of very powerful rhetorical questions, very powerful section read through them, a number of questions are asked, and it begins with quoting hamdulillah he was Salah moneda de la de la salle hamdulillah. And may peace be upon the servants of a law is a law better? Or to the false gods you worship? Are they better? And then Allah asks a series of questions a man halaqa a man a man is the one who created the heavens and the earth, and the one who sends the water down. And the one who produces all of these flowers and trees is the one who made the earth a bit
habitable, who made the rivers flow, who said the mountains who placed partitions between the seas is the one who answers your prayers when you need him the most among you, je bumo para Dada. And this shows us the more desperate our plea, the more powerful the response will be, the more desperate and sincere we are, the more chances of our desire to be answered and the less the lackadaisical The one who doesn't pray with a sincere heart or then don't expect a sincere answer. So Allah calls himself the one who responds to the one who is desperate when he makes two up, and he says, Is there any god that does this? Does the one who guides you through the darkness of the land
and sea is the one who originates the creation and then repeats it and then sustains you throughout this world from the heavens and earth? All of these a lesson is this one meaning himself better or your false gods and every time Allah responds to their challenges, so go through the section and Marvel How can anybody How can anybody reject Allah subhana wa tada and worship something that their own hands have carved How foolish it is to turn away from the worship of the Creator of all of this around us and then choose to worship an entity that you have carved with your own hands? And Allah subhana wa tada says, Allah Allah moment is somehow what he would owe the labor in law law. No one
knows there in my life in the heavens and earth, except Allah subhanho wa Taala. In the next section, Allah mentions the fate of those who reject before reminding us that the odds are in our favor. Verse 89, whoever does a Hasina shall receive better fellow hieromonk
have always the odds are in our favor. Whoever does a good deed shall receive many more times good, whoever it is an evil it will be exactly the same as their evil. And this surah concludes with a very, very beautiful summary of this whole religion, verse 91. That and onwards in number two and Abu Dhabi, the hill that he left he had Rama, ha Wallah who kulu Shay. All I have been commanded to do is to worship the Lord of the sacred town meaning of Makkah, the one who has sanctified Makkah, and to whom everything belongs, and I was commanded to be of those who submit an Islam, one at Google, or art and I have been commanded to recite the Quran, to recite the Quran is one of the
commandments of our faith, and it increases our faith and it reaffirms our faith, and we're supposed to recite and preach and teach the Quran to the rest of mankind. What to do well on tilawat are on is an explicit commandment in the Koran, and then furminator whoever is guided is guided for himself and whoever goes astray. Tell them I am just a warner, it's not my business to force anything on you. And then the beautiful final verse will quote in hamdulillah and say All praise is due to Allah subhanho wa Taala. He will show you his signs and you will recognize them and your Lord is not heedless or unaware of what they do. The next surah is Surah Al cosas. And this is the final of the
fo RC sutras It begins with bossy mean and it is a Maki Surah 88 verses and it was revealed the similar timeframe as suited and numbered, and it is called a sauce not only because cosmin stories, not only because it is full of stories, but because Moosa says in verse 25 that fundament, Yahuwah Casali His apostles one more, so I went to his future father in law, and he told him his stories of slightly hidden costs, he told him, how did he end up Where is he from most I went from beginning to end everything. So then cost us comes in this and so it is called pseudo costs. And it is also a pseudo where perhaps most likely one or two of his verses were revealed during the digital during
the hedgerow, probably, as far as we know, this is the only revelation that came and it is in sort of the apostles and we will get there in our in due time in this lecture, inshallah huhtala. Now, most of the apostles is about the story of Musashi, his setup. And again, throughout the Quran, we have covered the story of Moses so many times, but as I said, every single time the story has different lessons for us to learn every single time is a different tangent, different perspective. And Subhanallah, if you want, you know, the story of Musa really deserves a very in depth analyses, if you want, you can look at it from a political standpoint, that's very important. And if you want
you can look at it from a personal or moral standpoint. And so in sort of puzzles, I will look at it for the next 10 minutes from a moral stuff from a personal standpoint, what can we benefit in the version of sort of puzzles about our personal lives? What are the lessons we can extract and of those lessons is that in verse five, Allah subhana wa tada says, when we read the unknown moon Island readiness to carry fulfill all the one agenda, in that and when I die, the human body thing, we desired to favor those who are oppressed in the land. And to make those who are humiliated. We wanted to make them the leaders, and we wanted to make them the inheritors and to establish them
with power in the land. This is a message for all of us, that you will never attain victory without a struggle and sacrifice. It was a message for the early Muslims of Makkah, who are migrating to Medina, this this new pseudo was revealed when Muslims have already begun to migrate and the Prophet system is about to migrate. And so Allah is telling them, you're not going to be established in the land until some sacrifice is done until some struggle is done. Look at how beautiful that phrase is. We wanted to bless those who were being persecuted, what an interesting way of phrasing it, the ones who were being hurt, the ones whom pain was inflicted on, we wanted to raise their ranks up, that is
the only way your ranks are going to be raised up, you have to be purified in the battles with other people in society. You know, that is the whole sanctification process. Leaders are born in that struggle. That is where true courage and true faith is demonstrated. And it is those people who deserve the reward in this world before the rewards of the next world. Also, we have here of course, the beautiful story of Musa and the mother of Musa alayhis salaam that when she left the child, when she left the child and put the child in the when she put moose on the water and the moose is going away. So her heart Subhanallah becomes completely empty. That Allah says what a beautiful verse in
the Quran that the mother of Moosa found her heart firehall found her heart empty Subhan Allah the the
love of a mother, by the way, is completely coincidental to that today is a Mother's Day complete coincidence here. And by the way, there's nothing wrong if you want to give your mother a gift today, tomorrow, don't make Islam more difficult. So Pamela, nothing wrong with being kind to your mother today or any day of the year, the religion of Islam does not dictate these types of things to be how long or how to do as you please in this regard. And I've given another longer lecture about this online about the concept of celebrations. And you can find that on YouTube probably being filled that beautiful description here about the mother's heart being empty when her child is gone
from her. And Allah just says that fellow Lola robot nyla cobia. We were the ones who kept her heart down and saying we were the ones who tied her heart up. And this shows us when you are depressed when you're feeling lonely, when you're feeling empty. You have to turn to Allah, nothing will give you that calmness other than turning to Allah Allah says we had to convert out or else you would never have been able to be calm in this regard. Also, we learn in this story of Musa that when he punched the the Egyptian that for Koba Allah he accidentally killed her, he made a mistake. What did he do? immediately on the spot he repents to Allah subhanho wa Taala verse 16, called or be in
Nevada to NFC Fallowfield Lee. He said, Oh my Lord, I have wronged myself. So forgive me, fellow for Allah. Allah forgave him. Notice how quickly it was this that when you recognize the sin, and you repent to Allah, a sign of a perfect repentance is you repent immediately. Now if you delay the repentance and then you repent, the brothers of use of delayed and they repented, that too is accepted, but the perfect repentance is the repentance that is done immediately. Also, a part of the perfect repentance is to renew your intent to be a better person, the next verse that ought to be done and I'm Talia foreign akun over here on the machine, Oh Allah, because you have honored me
because you have favored me, I make a promise to you. I will never be a supporter of criminals and tyrants. This is one of the signs of repentance. When you repent to a lot when you want to turn over a new leaf, you make a commitment now whether you live up to it or not, you will continue to try to live up to it but you make a commitment to a lot at all a lot. From now on. I'm going to turn over a new leaf I'm going to be a better person. This is we see this in the story of Musashi Salah, I shall never be a supporter of criminals and of tyrants. And also we see over here that when you turn to Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah helps you from places you never expect. Verse 20, Raja Raja lumen arco
Sol, Medina TSR, a man came running from the farthest part of the city. And Allah mentions this to indicate who could have ever imagined that somebody is coming from the other side of the town and he's running and he's saying, Oh Musa, get out of here, the authorities are going to kill you. I am sincere. Moosa knew the person one of the inner people of the palace, one of the visitors, one of the people who knows what's going on. And he has a soft spot for Moosa. And so he leaves his job and he rushes to the other side of town hunting whereas Moosa you had better lead before they come and find you. When Allah is on your side, a lot zoa jen will create armies from nowhere, a lower find
helpers that you least expected you will be held from sources that you never imagined. And this is the beauty of turning to Allah subhana wa tada who can possibly take on the challenges of Allah, when Allah is on your side, you don't care who's on the other side, you're going to be the winner. And so the man comes from the farthest city and therefore, Moosa takes heat and he flees, and he wanders, not knowing where to go into the Sinai Peninsula into the lands of Midian. And he sees that strange sight in front of him where there were groups of shepherds jostling and shopping for water, and he sees two ladies and they are poor, and they're from a family that cannot hire a person and
their father is elderly and sick, and so Subhanallah as a refugee, as a person fleeing for his life, Mussa with nothing to give, he gives the sweat of his brow with nothing to give, he gives his time he gives his his his his power, and he just generously donates without expecting anything from them. He takes these animals gives them their water, and then says go back, and then he takes shelter and he makes that beautiful. memorize this to our caller, Rob be in the Lima and Zelda Elysium. And here in the era, we are all who call out to Allah, Allah is the honey, Allah is the honey, we need anything and everything from Allah. No one can give us anything unless it is from Allah through
Allah by Allah is blessing. So we say to Allah, yeah, Rob, we are cleared to anything you can give us a lot is the honey and so when he gives from absolutely nothing, he could only give his sweat. He could only give his time when he gives that and he shows his generosity.
When you give unto others Allah will give back to you manifold you will not be able to count when you're generous and I said this before, generosity is a state of mind. It's not how much money you give Moosa was generous to people that were not related by blood. They were not related even by faith at this point in time they are not Muslims. By the way, this common notion that did that person was sure even his daughter's that is simply false, completely false. Sure, it was a different time, different era, different place, different land, completely false. These were other people living in Midian. And they were not Muslims because there was no Islam at that point in time, but
they're going to become Muslim because of Musa alayhis salaam. And so he helps them out he is generous when he could have said enough's enough see myself myself, but when you're generous to others, a lot of xojo will be generous back unto you. And so what happens barely, barely a few minutes or a few hours goes by and Allah subhana wa tada says, to the Houma, Tim she is one of the ladies came back to them walking with shyness with modesty, Subhana Allah, the Lord above the seven heavens, he prays to the Lady for her modesty and higher, nothing beautifies the lady more than modesty and shyness, nothing. And so she comes back, and she is modest, and she is shy, she's
feeling awkward here. And by the way, of course, the Quran does not have any, you know, romance stories, not befitting the Quran to have that. But nonetheless, there is an indication here of permissible feelings and there's nothing wrong with this that you know, if a person feels attraction for, you know, the positive values of another person, so panela This shows us that there's nothing wrong with this, we all know this. And the notion of course of the feelings, feelings in and of themselves of being attracted to somebody that is not sinful, but it is what you do with those feelings, whether you act in a holiday fashion and you channeled towards marriage or you do
something that is not allowed. That is where the difference comes. Also, by the way, before I move on here, notice how the role of women is central to this entire surah the mother of Moosa and what she does, the sister of moose and her role in the story, the the wife around us, and how she protects Moosa, the lady who will eventually becomes the wife of Musa and her advice to her father, Subhan Allah the central theme of this whole one of these is that women do play a very important role, gender should never come between you and helping the religion of Allah subhanho wa Taala. The point being back to the initial point is that when Musa was generous, and he gave from all that he
had, which is his time that Subhan Allah, Allah subhanho wa Taala gave him back. Allah gave him back a job. Within a few hours, he had a career for 10 years he had a roof over his head food to eat, you know, money to earn and Mashallah to Bala cola to sweeten the deal. He was even gifted a wife that in return on only
one of these two daughters I want to give you in marriage, the one that came back shy, she was the one that noticed most has good qualities and she said he is a strong man and he is an honest man. And obviously this is something that Allah subhana wa tada has made in the fitrah. And so the point being when Messiah was generous unto others, so Allah azza wa jal gave him back. And that really shows us that when we give whatever we have a low will return much more in this world before the hereafter. Of course, the stories then go on. And Moosa goes back to filming. And then of course, the story of how a man is mentioned over here as well. Herman was one of the evil evil visitors of
the Pharaoh. And he is, he is told by the pharaoh to he's mocking Allah subhanaw taala to be out of the villa. And the frown is saying that build for me a palace built for me a tower, that I can go and see this god and i think that Musa is lying. And Allah subhana wa tada mentions that for step by hood, you knew
that they were arrogant him and his armies. And so verse 39, that Allah says that we took him and his armies funded by the now infinium and we drowned them in the sea, and we cast them in the sea, so patola the power of these verses, after all of this buildup of the power of Fidel, in two words, Allah says, we took them and their army Thunderbirds and Alvin phillium, and we threw them in the ocean will lie what powerful imagery here how powerful is a law he can say, we took it out, we took his armies and we throw them in the ocean. This is the coup of Allah the casual manner in which that response is given this is only the Quran can come with these powerful phrases that demonstrate who
is Allah subhanho wa Taala and who are those who oppose a lot subhanho wa Taala, the surah as well as as all McKee Sutras, it mentions the blessings of the creation. And again, this is a common motif of all of the monkey sutras that we are asked to look at the world around us. And some of the verses that are very powerful, especially in Europe versus 71. onwards, when our item say, Have you ever considered this issue that in Giada la hora de como Laila several Madden in a Yokoyama. If Allah
had made the night perpetually over you until the day of judgment, which God is there besides a law that could give you the light, don't you? Don't you hear? Say, have you considered if a law had made the day perpetually bright you had never had a night until the Day of Resurrection, which God is there are other than a law that can bring bring you the night to rest and Don't you see, then verse 73, one more rahmati he jalila como later when hora de tous, Kuru fee what is stepped away from Lee Welcome to Chicago, it is of His mercy, that he has gifted you the night and the day that you may rest meaning in the night, you may seek His bounty in the day we wake up, we go around, we do our
daily chores, and so that you may give thanks. And again, I've said this point before that have you ever really thought about the fact that this entire planet and creation and synchronization of the night and the day and how everything has been put into place? Allah did it really for our creation for our species, Allah did it for us, Sahaja Allah come over and over again, I did it for you, the perfection of the world around us the harmony, the synthesis, the beauty, the breeze, that everything that is mentioned in the Quran, Allah is saying, This is all for you, so that you can thank me so that you can do that. So that you can reflect so that you can ponder so that you can
come back. So we should all be appreciative of the blessings that we don't even consider to be blessings. And just a quick note here that once I went to one of the Northern most cities in the world in Norway, and I went to the at the time, it was the masjid that was closest to the North Pole in that small little town of Trump. So I went to have a I have a YouTube video of that as well. And so panela to hear how the people live there and to see a 10pm you walk out and the sun is absolutely bright and 11pm there is no sun going up or down for so many months. And then there is no you know, sunlight, I mean, just to hear their stories they have to bear they have to barricade their own
windows at night completely with dark so that they pretend there's an illusion of dark when they go to sleep. It's just something to really made me appreciate to have the alternation of the night and the day and we take it for granted. And Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions this over and over again. And I remember thinking of this verse when I was there, but our item in general Allahu Allah caminhada salmonella Yokoyama that Allah even has allowed on this earth small pockets that if we go to, we can appreciate the rest of this world that we live in. The story concludes this story, the surah concludes with the story of our own, and our own was one of the richest men in all of human
history.
We took we are told that the keys to his treasure chests were so heavy that a group of young men strong men, they would carry them with difficulty. So we're talking about 1000s of keys, each key has 1000s of you know, jewels and treasures in that treasure chest. So qarun is one of the wealthiest men in all of history. And when he was told that he should be thankful to Allah, what does he do called in number 82, viola illman in the that I have been given this wealth because of my expertise. I knew how to invest I knew what to do. I was a smart man, I worked hard, he took credit for himself. And look how shallow This is how arrogant it is. And also the Quran describes that when
he was walking amongst his people for hado Jaya comi huffy, zenity. Can you imagine the entourage, you know, these billionaires and millionaires, they purchase people's respect with their money with the beloved, cheap, respected, is there only around them for the money? What type of friends what type of allies are these But still, that's their lifestyle, that the people around them are only purchased because they have that wealth. And so Allah is saying he walked outside with his entourage. And those who didn't realize those who didn't see the who, after they began salivating. Oh my god, how rich is this person how I wish I was like, How I wish I was left alone as well. And
then Allah says, Allah Latina Ooh, to layer in the people have knowledge sets of heinola knowledge. Knowledge is what saved that that community, the people of knowledge, said, Woe to you. Are you diluted by these grand juries of fancy houses and cars and stock market investment? This is what you want. So albula higher? The rewards of a law are what will last forever? How long would this dunya last? For how long? Will you enjoy these palaces? Whoa, do you look at the real picture? And how shallow is it to salivate behind those who are rich in this world thinking that that will bring happiness? Do you not know? Firstly, that those people themselves are never internally happy? They
actually have more internal issues than most other mankind? And secondly, for how long would this delusion of happiness last until one until death then what so we should be wise and invest in the hereafter think about the everlasting happiness. And we understand here as well. What knowledge does the importance of knowledge that when we study and when we connect ourselves to the Quran and Sunnah it reorients our paradigm it's a paradigm shift literally and we start thinking
In a different plateau, and that's why it's so important, dear Muslims that you connect yourself with the people of knowledge and you always listen to some knowledge even if you're full time something else, you know, if you're not going to become an alum, don't remain a jarhead. If you're not going to become a scholar, don't remain totally ignorant. Learn something day by date bit by bit so that you're associated with knowledge, and that will benefit you on a daily basis. And the suta concludes by the verse that was most likely revealed during the hedger. It said that this verse was revealed when the Prophet system was on the way from Mecca to Medina, and this is the only verse we
know of that came down during the Hydra, verse 85.
In the lead the thorough article khorana la dakila, add the one who ordained the Quran to you have a certainty he shall bring you back to your home, the place where you came from. mk and my lord knows best who comes with guidance and who is in manifest error. And then Allah says you did not expect the scripture to be transmitted to you did not expect the Quran to come to you. But it is in fact a mercy from Allah subhanahu wa tada wallet, Allahu Allah and Allah holida illa Illa who do not call any other God besides a lot, there is no god other than him. kulu Shea in Harlequin, watch her, everything shall perish except Allah subhanho wa Taala except the Presence of Allah subhanho wa
Taala the whole hookman will either he told your own, To Him belongs the judgment. And to him You shall all return that is sort of puzzles, we now move on to Seurat, alenka booth, the third of our sources today. So total ankle boot. So total ankle boot is also a Maki surah. And it was revealed again, similar timeframe late McKee period. And so little ankle boots, you can definitely sense within it the constellation that Allah has given to the Muslim community, their frustration that they're suffering during this timeframe. So with that ankle ankle boot is around 69 verses. And the main theme is the battle between a man and Cofer. And this is demonstrated once again by the stories
of the past prophets. And it also deals with the trials that people are going to go through the trials of the family, the trials of society, the trials of persecution, the trials of this world, and it also deals with the unity of the Muslims, and how to engage with arguments and intellectual attacks, how to defend Islam in the best of manners, and the surah jumps straight in to the concept of trials and tribulations. And this is the first sutra that begins with Alif Lam meme in this section, there were some that began at the beginning, then the middle of the Quran, there is no RF Lambie move there. And then we now begin to the latter half of this. So we have Elif mean, has he
been asked to unmute Roku, and yopu and wahama, you've done? Did man presume? Did you think that you would be left alone? By saying we believe without being tested? Did you think that it was only a matter of just self identity? I'm a Muslim. And that's it? What are the 410 levels of certainty? We tested those before you so that Allah can see who is truthful, and a lot can see who is lying in their claim to be Muslim. And so the surah sets up the entire stage, dear Muslims being tested through whatever means whether it is a test of actual persecution by enemies of Islam, which is happening around the globe, or it is a personal test, a test of wealth, a test of faith, a test of
plenty of time, a test of good health, whatever it is, everything is a test. We are all being tested. Yes, the questions asked are different in terms of what are being tested about, but overall, every aspect of our life is a type of test from Allah subhanho wa Taala. And the story, verse nine onwards, it mentions the the foolishness of those who equate the sufferings at the hands of men, to the suffering at the punishment of Allah subhanho wa Taala. There are those people Allah says that they consider the availableness like the idea of a law, they consider the torture and ridicule and pain at the hands of men to be like the punishment of a law. But there is no, there is no
comparison. Whatever happens in this world is never as serious as the hereafter. This world is temporary. And in fact, responding to the sufferings of this world can potentially bring you eternal bliss and comfort in the hereafter. And so a lot warns us never ever equate the suffering of this world to the suffering of the next world. the suffering of this world can in fact save you if you have a positive attitude from the sufferings of the next world. And this world then mentions many of the stories of the prophets, Newell and Ibrahim and Luth and other prophets. Were told, for example, that no preach to his people for levita fee him olfa Senate in Illa home cinema, he lived amongst
his people preaching to them 950 years 1000 minus 50
Subhan Allah, we get frustrated if we advise our brother or sister once or twice or thrice we get frustrated, we get frustrated if after one conversation they don't listen to us. And no is being told the paragon of patience. 950 years that is more than 20 average lifetimes of preaching more than 20 know his preaching. It is said that the people that he preached to his their great great grandchildren would go and say this is the person my great great grandfather warned us about. So Noah remained that long preaching to his people, and allows early shows that paragon of virtue and what happened to all of these different nations. Verse 14, Allah says for Colin 100 in Abu Dhabi, he
each one of them we see is because of their sins, some of them we sent a sandstorm others were struck by a blast, yet others allow cause the ground to cave beneath them, and yet others we drowned, it was not Allah who wronged them one of Allah Maha mala, were lacking kind of unfruitful homeopathy more, but it was they who wronged themselves. And you know, we used to read these verses thinking These are stories of the past, but in light of what is happening around the globe, in light of this global pandemic, we really need to reassess our own situation and make sure that we protect ourselves from this divine issue and calamity that is envelope in all of us. And then Allah says in
verse 41, this is the verse because of which the surah is named. And Kabuto, of course means Spyder. Allah says the likeness of those who take false gods as protectors. Besides the law is like that of the spider that builds the most fragile house. But Indeed, Allah subhanaw taala says we're in Oh honey, boo Tila Bay to an anchor buoy, the weakest of all houses of any animal, it is the house of the spider, if they only knew the spiders house does not protect the spider is actually meant to catch, you know, pests and insects. It doesn't protect at all, every other animal, every other species that takes a house it is meant to be protected. And so a blessing, the weakest and the most
fragile of all houses is the house of the spider such as the analogy of the one who turns to other than a law that he is not protecting himself. rather he is getting himself into trouble by getting these vermin and these other insects to come. It's not what we what we eat what an intelligent person do Lowcountry either mon if they only understood and the suta as well. It has a number of verses that indicate the truth of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and the truth of the Koran. And it has for example, verse 42, a very important sorry, verse 48, that Allah says lahmacun Tata through macabre Haman, Kitab and Wallah to hope to be aminika he then loved well mobile room, you
Yasuda law, did not choose to write any scriptures before this with your with. You did not choose to read any scriptures before this, nor did you write any with your right hand. Otherwise, perhaps those who doubt might have had justification for doubt. In other words, what we are being told throughout the Quran multiple times, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam his character is solid, his credentials are impeccable for 40 years. He is the most honest, the most trustworthy, the most kind, the most compassionate. But one thing he was not in those 40 years was an author. One thing he was not was a person who was reading the scriptures of the previous nations. Everybody knows he was
unlettered, he was never taught to read in nightwood, right, which is how the majority of people were at that time. And so Allah is saying that you that you are not a researcher, you are not an academic hold up with lots of books, reading and then copying and pasting. No, that's not it overnight, this book comes to you. And that clearly demonstrates that you are a prophet of Allah, you did not have access to all of this information. Then Allah says Bella, who is to atone fees will do the lettino to learn, rather, the Quran are clear verses that are encompassed in the hearts of the people of knowledge. And this shows us another beautiful point here. Allah calls those who want
to memorize the Quran, those who want to understand the Quran, he calls them the people have knowledge, therefore, every one of us should have the desire or at least just the desire we don't lose anything by having the desire do we just the desire that you know what, I want to memorize more Quran and then guess what? start memorizing verse by verse bit by bit and you will see in leaps and bounds how easy it will become. To desire to memorize the Quran is indeed an indication of the love of the Quran. And the love of the Quran is the love of Allah subhana wa Tada. And then after this, Allah tells us one of the most powerful verses regarding the miracle of the Quran verse 15. They
demanded miracles will call you Lola owns the rally tomorrow but they say why don't verses and miracles come to him? Why don't any signs come that indicate he is a prophet of Allah? Then Allah says
One of the most powerful verses, verse 51. I want to make for him and Zen and Aikido by utilizing him, isn't it a sufficient miracle for them, that we have revealed to you this book whose Verses are recited to them? So dear Muslim, any time you have any doubt from shape on from the enemies of this religion, any time a doubt comes into your heart, immediately open up the book of a law and start reciting your doubts will go away. This is the miracle. This is the proof. This is the criterion. This is how we know our religion is true. The Quran is not the speech of men, it is cannot be the speech of men. All you need to do is listen to the Quran, and what is truly amazing. You don't even
need to understand Arabic to understand the Quran is not a book authored by men, the impact of the Quran on those who don't even understand it, it is simply divine. It is sublime, and this is what Allah is saying. They're asking for miracles. What bigger miracle could we give them then that we have revealed this book? The Quran is the ultimate miracle if you have any doubt about this faith, then the Quran will answer those doubts. The Quran is from Allah subhanho wa Taala and therefore, once you read the Quran, your heart will be at ease once you listen to the Koran once you understand the Quran, your heart will be at ease that indeed this religion is true. This book is true, this
prophet is true over and over again, we are told about this reality. Also in this surah we have the famous verse that generally speaking most people who give hold but they also use this verse, one of them as sort of denial. And this is the other verse, which will not okay they can make a who claim is sila that recite what has been revealed to you of the Quran. This is verse 45. Welcome is sada in salata, 10 Hi Natasha, you will mooncup what are the cruel law he Akbar? Allahu Allah metta stone, it is common for most people to finish the sermon. They say this verse over here that in the salata, 1010 flesh a woman could easily go to the Quran, they mentioned this one or the other one. And so
this is one of those verses that is sometimes used by the hotties. It's not something that the Prophet sallallahu I said him did, but it is nothing wrong with this that the prayer prevents you from in decencies and evils and indeed there is nothing greater than the remembrance of Allah and Allah knows what you do. And our claim is Salah, established the salah, and this shows us that the prayer and decency are linked together. The one who prays regularly automatically, their lifestyle begins to change in a salata den and in fact, you will Moncure praying regularly prevents you from in decencies and from doing evil, and in this surah as well. We conclude by mentioning to three
verses in the surah as well verse 46, Allah subhanho wa Taala says will lead to Jeju kitabi liability is an illusion of Allah men who do not argue with the people of the Scriptures except in the best manner possible, always argue in the wisest and the best manner, except for those who have really done in justices them you can be harsh with but overall when you preach and teach, it must be in the wisest manner. And I've said this many many times that this is one of the big differences between people who are generally speaking successful in their preaching. And then we have the the neophytes or the novices who are always overzealous looking down at those more experienced and more
knowledgeable than them and they want to preach in a manner that will turn people away. And this is not the Quranic methodology, it is not the prophetic methodology. The Quran is very clear, we should teach with compassion with gentleness using wisdom that is what is explicitly said in the ability he asks and, and what is bility he said, it varies from time to place to culture. The methodology of Dawa is not something that is specified by the Quran and Sunnah we are told to be generically wise. Why? Because wisdom is culturally sensitive wisdom changes what you say the adapt of the people, you know, the protocols of interaction, anybody who's multicultural knows this. And so when we give that
up, we need to utilize the cultures that we're living in, and the sensitivities of those cultures. The Koran is very, very clear about this. And then the surah concludes, verse 64, Allah subhana wa tada says, that this life of this world is nothing but diversion and play woman had to do nearly what I was in Hirata, the heel, higher one, and indeed, the life of the hereafter. That is the real life higher one here does not mean animal higher one here means the real hierarchy. Theater is the real life. It is not the life of this world. And then the verse concludes with one of the most powerful messages in the Koran regarding the reality of what happens when you turn to Allah subhanho
wa Taala memorize this rule it is an Islamic rule when Latina Jaya hadoo feanor Lena deanda home soon
butina we're in Allah Allah Allah Allah mercy Nene simple reality ending of the surah whoever strives for our cause whoever wants to do something for us, we shall guide him to our ways we will open up doors, we will create values for him, whoever stands up and walk towards a law whoever wants to do something for the sake of Allah subhana wa Tada. Allah will facilitate the path for him. What a beautiful verse over here. All you have to do is to intent and desire and do and then Allah azza wa jal will pave the way for you. And indeed, Allah subhana wa tada is with those who do good May Allah subhanho wa Taala make us of those who strive in His way so that we are guided in his way May
Allah azza wa jal make us of those who do good May Allah subhana wa tada accept our fasting and our pm and RCM and our recitation and Arthur who may Allah azza wa jal make the Koran an intercessor for us on the day of judgment and a shallow Tada. I will see you tomorrow was set to law what a cattle
