The speaker discusses the story of Abdul Muttalib, a famous man who created doors and closed doors of the Kaaba, and was a center of business at Makkah. The conflict between the two leaders was due to lack of trust between them, and traffic was directed towards Makkah. The group trying to convince people to buy water from the Kaaba is seen as a significant event, but they are losing their faith and power. The importance of trusting the Prophet and following his teachings is also discussed.

00:00:16 --> 00:00:19
			Inshallah, we're gonna continue on with our series

00:00:19 --> 00:00:20
			of Seerah.

00:00:20 --> 00:00:22
			Seerah of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam.

00:00:22 --> 00:00:24
			Even though

00:00:24 --> 00:00:26
			we get to study the Seerah of the

00:00:26 --> 00:00:28
			prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam,

00:00:29 --> 00:00:31
			once every week, but subhanallah,

00:00:32 --> 00:00:34
			you know, the past few weeks have been

00:00:34 --> 00:00:36
			extremely rough for Muslims.

00:00:37 --> 00:00:39
			And Muslims look left and right to find

00:00:39 --> 00:00:40
			relief,

00:00:41 --> 00:00:41
			to find

00:00:42 --> 00:00:45
			a breathing room, to find and say that,

00:00:45 --> 00:00:47
			you know, inshallah, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is

00:00:47 --> 00:00:50
			going to help us. And at times, you

00:00:50 --> 00:00:50
			just

00:00:51 --> 00:00:52
			lose hope.

00:00:52 --> 00:00:53
			But you know it's a seerah of the

00:00:53 --> 00:00:56
			Prophet salallahu alaihi wa sallam subhanAllah

00:00:57 --> 00:00:59
			that at least for me every time I

00:00:59 --> 00:01:00
			felt hopeless,

00:01:01 --> 00:01:03
			every time I felt guilty that

00:01:03 --> 00:01:06
			what can I do, every time I felt

00:01:06 --> 00:01:06
			something,

00:01:07 --> 00:01:09
			I knew that I had an answer back

00:01:09 --> 00:01:11
			in the seerah of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi

00:01:11 --> 00:01:12
			wa sallam? And subhanAllah,

00:01:12 --> 00:01:14
			so many different instances

00:01:15 --> 00:01:17
			where I just felt pain and an incident

00:01:17 --> 00:01:18
			I would remember

00:01:19 --> 00:01:21
			from the seerah of the prophet salallahu alaihi

00:01:21 --> 00:01:22
			wasallam and subhanallah.

00:01:22 --> 00:01:25
			Not only would my pain be gone, but

00:01:25 --> 00:01:28
			I would be the most hopeful person. So

00:01:28 --> 00:01:30
			InshaAllah as we go on and we hear

00:01:30 --> 00:01:33
			about the seerah of the prophet salallahu alaihi

00:01:33 --> 00:01:34
			wasallam we will also collect

00:01:35 --> 00:01:37
			what will help us throughout our lives

00:01:38 --> 00:01:40
			throughout our lives and be with us at

00:01:40 --> 00:01:41
			time of pain,

00:01:42 --> 00:01:44
			be with us at time

00:01:44 --> 00:01:45
			of grief.

00:01:46 --> 00:01:48
			And so last time, we spoke about the

00:01:48 --> 00:01:49
			lineage of the prophet

00:01:51 --> 00:01:53
			and we specifically focused

00:01:53 --> 00:01:54
			on Hashim,

00:01:54 --> 00:01:57
			the great grandfather of the prophet

00:01:58 --> 00:02:00
			and we talked about how he was

00:02:01 --> 00:02:04
			a main figure who brought economic

00:02:04 --> 00:02:05
			stability

00:02:05 --> 00:02:08
			to the Quraysh, who brought economic stability

00:02:09 --> 00:02:10
			to the Arabian Peninsula,

00:02:11 --> 00:02:12
			even to the extent that Allah

00:02:14 --> 00:02:17
			reveals a whole Surah, Surah Al Quraish

00:02:17 --> 00:02:20
			in which he talks about how Allah has

00:02:20 --> 00:02:20
			blessed

00:02:20 --> 00:02:22
			the Quraish with

00:02:25 --> 00:02:27
			with the journey of the winter and the

00:02:27 --> 00:02:28
			journey

00:02:28 --> 00:02:31
			of the summer, and that was basically a

00:02:31 --> 00:02:33
			summer trip in which they would go a

00:02:33 --> 00:02:34
			a for,

00:02:34 --> 00:02:36
			it was a business trip in which they

00:02:36 --> 00:02:39
			would go, bring back stuff from either Syria

00:02:39 --> 00:02:42
			and from Yemen, and have a stable economic

00:02:42 --> 00:02:42
			situation.

00:02:42 --> 00:02:44
			Then we spoke about how he had a

00:02:44 --> 00:02:45
			son

00:02:45 --> 00:02:46
			and that son

00:02:47 --> 00:02:50
			ended up being Abdul Muttalib, and we're specifically

00:02:50 --> 00:02:53
			focusing today, inshallah, on Abdul Muttalib.

00:02:53 --> 00:02:55
			We spoke about how Abdul Muttalib

00:02:55 --> 00:02:57
			was actually His name was Sheba.

00:02:58 --> 00:03:01
			And Shaiba basically because he had white hair.

00:03:01 --> 00:03:03
			When he was born he had white hair

00:03:03 --> 00:03:06
			over here, so his parents named him Shaiba.

00:03:06 --> 00:03:09
			His uncle Muttalib went from Makkah, brought him

00:03:09 --> 00:03:12
			back, and people started to call him Abdul

00:03:12 --> 00:03:15
			Muttalib, the slave of Muttalib because people didn't

00:03:15 --> 00:03:16
			know that he was actually

00:03:17 --> 00:03:19
			the nephew, people thought that it was actually

00:03:19 --> 00:03:20
			the slave

00:03:20 --> 00:03:21
			of,

00:03:21 --> 00:03:22
			Muttalib.

00:03:22 --> 00:03:25
			So he comes and subhanallah his father

00:03:25 --> 00:03:28
			already had a great status in the Arabian

00:03:28 --> 00:03:30
			Peninsula within the Quraysh.

00:03:30 --> 00:03:31
			So, he automatically

00:03:32 --> 00:03:33
			comes into a prestige,

00:03:34 --> 00:03:37
			comes into a family of honor. And one

00:03:37 --> 00:03:39
			of the honors that they used to host

00:03:39 --> 00:03:41
			the who used to come, because

00:03:42 --> 00:03:43
			the was still established.

00:03:43 --> 00:03:45
			The was still established.

00:03:46 --> 00:03:48
			Was built by Ibrahim alaihis salam long time

00:03:48 --> 00:03:50
			ago. So people used to do

00:03:51 --> 00:03:53
			So now people who was the custodian,

00:03:54 --> 00:03:56
			today, subhanallah, when you pick up the mushaf,

00:03:57 --> 00:03:59
			right? Till today this is something that is

00:03:59 --> 00:04:01
			taken as a pride. When you pick up

00:04:01 --> 00:04:04
			the mushaf and if it's printed in Saudi

00:04:04 --> 00:04:06
			Arabia, it's going to be It's it's going

00:04:06 --> 00:04:08
			to say small on it from the custodian

00:04:09 --> 00:04:10
			of the Haramain Sharifain.

00:04:11 --> 00:04:13
			From the custodian, from the one who's taking

00:04:13 --> 00:04:16
			care of the Haramain. The Haram al Mecca,

00:04:16 --> 00:04:18
			Haram al Madina. So even today it's considered

00:04:19 --> 00:04:20
			as a honor.

00:04:20 --> 00:04:22
			The king of

00:04:22 --> 00:04:23
			Saudi Arabia

00:04:23 --> 00:04:26
			considers himself a, you know,

00:04:26 --> 00:04:29
			a a great status that he's able to

00:04:29 --> 00:04:32
			gift out to people these and that's why

00:04:32 --> 00:04:34
			he writes that. So this prestige goes all

00:04:34 --> 00:04:36
			the way to the great grandfather of the

00:04:36 --> 00:04:37
			prophet

00:04:38 --> 00:04:41
			and it's just been passed down and down.

00:04:41 --> 00:04:44
			So Abdul Muttalib takes over this,

00:04:44 --> 00:04:45
			amazing

00:04:45 --> 00:04:46
			hospitality

00:04:46 --> 00:04:49
			and this amazing prestige of taking care of

00:04:49 --> 00:04:50
			the people.

00:04:50 --> 00:04:53
			Abdul Muttalib now has a few incidents

00:04:53 --> 00:04:56
			that are very very important for us, and

00:04:56 --> 00:04:57
			especially today,

00:04:57 --> 00:05:00
			I want as many people that can stay

00:05:00 --> 00:05:02
			because it's a really a story of hope

00:05:02 --> 00:05:03
			today.

00:05:03 --> 00:05:06
			Story of hope that gives us even hope

00:05:06 --> 00:05:09
			in the situation that we are in today.

00:05:10 --> 00:05:13
			I'm gonna mention 3 main stories of Abdul

00:05:13 --> 00:05:14
			Muttalib today and that's going to give us

00:05:14 --> 00:05:15
			an idea

00:05:16 --> 00:05:19
			of who Abdul Muttalib was. The first story

00:05:20 --> 00:05:22
			of Abdul Muttalib, right, Shayba,

00:05:22 --> 00:05:26
			is the story of what happened in rediscovering

00:05:26 --> 00:05:27
			the Zamzam.

00:05:28 --> 00:05:30
			Remember, Zamzam came all the way at the

00:05:30 --> 00:05:34
			time of who? Ibrahim alaihis salam, Ismail alaihis

00:05:34 --> 00:05:34
			salam.

00:05:34 --> 00:05:36
			So what happened to it? It has been

00:05:36 --> 00:05:39
			buried. Nobody knows where it is, and Abdul

00:05:39 --> 00:05:42
			Muttalib would be used to rediscover that. The

00:05:42 --> 00:05:43
			second story

00:05:44 --> 00:05:45
			is the story

00:05:46 --> 00:05:46
			of

00:05:48 --> 00:05:48
			the

00:05:50 --> 00:05:53
			the people with the army of elephants,

00:05:54 --> 00:05:56
			they are coming all the way from Habasha.

00:05:56 --> 00:05:59
			They're coming to destroy the kaaba,

00:06:00 --> 00:06:01
			And the third story

00:06:01 --> 00:06:04
			is the story of the sacrifice,

00:06:04 --> 00:06:05
			the vow to sacrifice

00:06:06 --> 00:06:09
			one of his sons, and that son was

00:06:09 --> 00:06:10
			the prophet

00:06:11 --> 00:06:12
			He made intention

00:06:13 --> 00:06:15
			that he would sacrifice and slaughter him for

00:06:15 --> 00:06:17
			the sake of Allah. So these are the

00:06:17 --> 00:06:18
			3 stories.

00:06:18 --> 00:06:20
			The first story is the rediscovery

00:06:21 --> 00:06:22
			of the water of Zamzam.

00:06:23 --> 00:06:25
			As we know that Zamzam holds a very,

00:06:25 --> 00:06:29
			you know, honorable place in every Muslims heart,

00:06:29 --> 00:06:31
			and this honor has been given to Zamzam

00:06:31 --> 00:06:34
			from day 1, from the time of Ishmael

00:06:34 --> 00:06:36
			alaihi salam because Zamzam's

00:06:37 --> 00:06:39
			finding itself was miraculous.

00:06:39 --> 00:06:42
			When they found Zamzam in a place where

00:06:42 --> 00:06:44
			there was no vegetation, no water, it was

00:06:44 --> 00:06:47
			a sign of hope. It was a sign

00:06:47 --> 00:06:49
			of life. So Allah

00:06:50 --> 00:06:52
			brought life into the Arabian Peninsula

00:06:53 --> 00:06:55
			because of the Zamzam, because of the water

00:06:55 --> 00:06:58
			itself. It has been buried for 2, 3,

00:06:58 --> 00:06:59
			400 years.

00:07:00 --> 00:07:02
			Nobody knows where it is, and one day,

00:07:02 --> 00:07:05
			Abdul Muttalib starts to get a dream,

00:07:05 --> 00:07:07
			and he's told to go and dig in

00:07:07 --> 00:07:08
			this specific spot,

00:07:09 --> 00:07:11
			and the next day he gets a dream,

00:07:11 --> 00:07:13
			and the next day he gets a dream,

00:07:13 --> 00:07:15
			and he realized that something is up. So

00:07:15 --> 00:07:18
			he tells his oldest son, his oldest son's

00:07:18 --> 00:07:20
			name was Harith, let's go we have to

00:07:20 --> 00:07:22
			dig this one spot. As they start to

00:07:22 --> 00:07:23
			dig,

00:07:24 --> 00:07:26
			people are starting to mock them, make fun

00:07:26 --> 00:07:28
			of them. What? You think that you're trying

00:07:28 --> 00:07:29
			to find

00:07:29 --> 00:07:32
			You're trying to find what? And remember, water

00:07:32 --> 00:07:35
			still there is so valuable. Different statues that

00:07:35 --> 00:07:37
			were made of gold. So now,

00:07:37 --> 00:07:39
			people jump and they said, oh, we have

00:07:39 --> 00:07:41
			a portion in this as well.

00:07:41 --> 00:07:44
			But obviously he goes back and forth in

00:07:44 --> 00:07:46
			the fight and saying, no, this is not.

00:07:46 --> 00:07:49
			He continues and he uses actually this gold

00:07:49 --> 00:07:51
			that he finds. He uses them to make

00:07:51 --> 00:07:53
			the doors of the Kaaba, and he's the

00:07:53 --> 00:07:55
			first person to create

00:07:55 --> 00:07:57
			the doors of the Kaaba

00:07:57 --> 00:07:59
			out of out of,

00:08:00 --> 00:08:02
			out of gold. And so he goes on,

00:08:02 --> 00:08:05
			continues to dig, and now he finds the

00:08:05 --> 00:08:08
			water. When the water is found, everybody goes

00:08:08 --> 00:08:10
			and say, we also have Haqqan this because

00:08:10 --> 00:08:12
			we're also from Quraish. This is all of

00:08:12 --> 00:08:15
			our water, this, that, and Abdul Muttalib is

00:08:15 --> 00:08:17
			like, no. This is this is for me

00:08:17 --> 00:08:20
			because I've been given the dream, this has

00:08:20 --> 00:08:21
			been going on in my family and all

00:08:21 --> 00:08:23
			that. People are literally fighting

00:08:24 --> 00:08:25
			To the extent that people said, we're gonna

00:08:25 --> 00:08:27
			get on to a fight, and we're gonna

00:08:27 --> 00:08:30
			die for this. So somebody comes and say,

00:08:30 --> 00:08:32
			hey, we don't have to die for this.

00:08:32 --> 00:08:34
			Why don't we go to a to a

00:08:34 --> 00:08:37
			soothsayer? And back then, they used to believe

00:08:37 --> 00:08:39
			in fortune tellers and soothsayers

00:08:40 --> 00:08:41
			that they used to go and tell them,

00:08:41 --> 00:08:43
			hey, we have this problem, can you solve

00:08:43 --> 00:08:45
			it for us? There's no cops, there's no

00:08:45 --> 00:08:47
			court system, there's none of that. So the

00:08:47 --> 00:08:49
			only place to go to is to these

00:08:49 --> 00:08:50
			soothsayers

00:08:50 --> 00:08:52
			and say that we need your help. We

00:08:52 --> 00:08:54
			need you to decide for us. So they're

00:08:54 --> 00:08:56
			on their way to the soothsayer,

00:08:56 --> 00:08:58
			and in the middle they get lost.

00:08:59 --> 00:09:01
			And now, they don't have a way to

00:09:01 --> 00:09:03
			go back or a way to go forward.

00:09:04 --> 00:09:06
			And subhanallah, not only are they completely lost,

00:09:06 --> 00:09:08
			they have no more water now.

00:09:09 --> 00:09:11
			To the point where they lost hope. They're

00:09:11 --> 00:09:14
			about to die. All the leaders, they're about

00:09:14 --> 00:09:16
			to die. So the one of them is

00:09:16 --> 00:09:16
			like, hey,

00:09:17 --> 00:09:19
			at least let's dig up our own graves.

00:09:19 --> 00:09:22
			So that when we die, we will have

00:09:22 --> 00:09:23
			a grave to go into.

00:09:23 --> 00:09:25
			So they start to dig up their own

00:09:25 --> 00:09:27
			graves, and subhanallah,

00:09:27 --> 00:09:30
			Abdul Muttalib once again hits

00:09:30 --> 00:09:32
			a spring of water.

00:09:32 --> 00:09:34
			And at this point people realize

00:09:34 --> 00:09:36
			that you know what? This is from Allah.

00:09:37 --> 00:09:40
			Allah is teaching us that he's giving him

00:09:40 --> 00:09:42
			the water which means it belongs to him.

00:09:42 --> 00:09:45
			Obviously they drink, they find a way back,

00:09:45 --> 00:09:48
			and they give the prestige of the water,

00:09:48 --> 00:09:50
			they give the ownership of the water, they

00:09:50 --> 00:09:52
			handed over to Abdul Muttalib,

00:09:53 --> 00:09:54
			and that's why it stayed in the family

00:09:54 --> 00:09:55
			of the Prophet

00:09:57 --> 00:09:59
			So Abdul Muttalib basically through all of these

00:09:59 --> 00:10:00
			becomes

00:10:00 --> 00:10:03
			different incidents, but through all of these he

00:10:03 --> 00:10:05
			becomes the default leader of the Quraysh.

00:10:06 --> 00:10:08
			A strong, tall, handsome man

00:10:09 --> 00:10:10
			that anybody says something

00:10:11 --> 00:10:13
			goes back to him and he has to

00:10:13 --> 00:10:15
			make the decision. So he's basically the leader

00:10:15 --> 00:10:16
			of the Quran now.

00:10:17 --> 00:10:19
			So what happens is,

00:10:19 --> 00:10:20
			now

00:10:20 --> 00:10:23
			a major incident, and this major incident is

00:10:23 --> 00:10:26
			last time when we discussed the economic and

00:10:26 --> 00:10:28
			social situation of the Arabian Peninsula,

00:10:29 --> 00:10:31
			we established that Makkah became

00:10:32 --> 00:10:35
			the center for business. The center for business.

00:10:35 --> 00:10:36
			Why? Because

00:10:36 --> 00:10:37
			people would come here

00:10:38 --> 00:10:38
			for

00:10:39 --> 00:10:41
			doing tawaf around the Kaaba, and at the

00:10:41 --> 00:10:43
			same time they would bring the merchandise from

00:10:43 --> 00:10:45
			Yemen, and they would bring the merchandise from

00:10:45 --> 00:10:48
			Syria, and so it became a trading center

00:10:48 --> 00:10:50
			as well. Now while all of this is

00:10:50 --> 00:10:52
			going on, all of the traffic is directed

00:10:52 --> 00:10:53
			towards Makkah.

00:10:54 --> 00:10:54
			And

00:10:55 --> 00:10:55
			there's

00:10:56 --> 00:10:59
			a, a a a governor of Yemen.

00:11:00 --> 00:11:02
			Governor of in Yemen, and he is basically

00:11:02 --> 00:11:04
			his name is Abraha.

00:11:04 --> 00:11:06
			He decides that I want the traffic to

00:11:06 --> 00:11:07
			come here.

00:11:07 --> 00:11:10
			I want to gain people's confidence that we

00:11:10 --> 00:11:11
			are economically strong.

00:11:12 --> 00:11:14
			We want people to invest here. We want

00:11:14 --> 00:11:17
			the traffic to come over here. And so

00:11:17 --> 00:11:18
			how are we going to do that?

00:11:19 --> 00:11:21
			Because before that there was a conflict, and

00:11:21 --> 00:11:22
			of course in a 20 minute series we

00:11:22 --> 00:11:24
			can't get into the details. There was a

00:11:24 --> 00:11:27
			conflict between Abraha and the king before, and

00:11:27 --> 00:11:29
			the king before got killed. So now it

00:11:29 --> 00:11:31
			was time for Abraha to prove to people

00:11:31 --> 00:11:33
			that he can lead, and he was a

00:11:33 --> 00:11:33
			decisive

00:11:34 --> 00:11:37
			and strategic guy, he wants to show people

00:11:37 --> 00:11:39
			that he could bring money, he could bring

00:11:39 --> 00:11:41
			people, he could bring all of that into

00:11:42 --> 00:11:43
			Yemen, into his place.

00:11:43 --> 00:11:46
			Right? So he's basically saying that I need

00:11:46 --> 00:11:48
			to prove to people. Now,

00:11:48 --> 00:11:51
			he, in order to do that, says that

00:11:51 --> 00:11:53
			people are coming there for religious purposes because

00:11:53 --> 00:11:55
			of the Kaaba, so what I'm going to

00:11:55 --> 00:11:57
			do is build a big church, and it's

00:11:57 --> 00:11:58
			gonna be beautiful,

00:11:59 --> 00:12:02
			gigantic, it's gonna have everything, and people are

00:12:02 --> 00:12:04
			gonna start to come to this church instead.

00:12:04 --> 00:12:07
			He goes and he, subhanAllah, puts in so

00:12:07 --> 00:12:09
			much effort that he tells the workers that

00:12:09 --> 00:12:11
			if you're not here by sunrise,

00:12:11 --> 00:12:13
			your hand will be cut off. So they

00:12:13 --> 00:12:16
			put all this effort in to build this

00:12:16 --> 00:12:19
			beautiful church, and now he's calling people, the

00:12:19 --> 00:12:21
			Arabs and the non Arabs and everybody, you

00:12:21 --> 00:12:23
			guys have to come to this church and

00:12:23 --> 00:12:24
			worship God over here.

00:12:25 --> 00:12:26
			1 Arab

00:12:26 --> 00:12:28
			Bedouin, he goes

00:12:29 --> 00:12:31
			and he realized what the heck you're calling

00:12:31 --> 00:12:33
			people over here? So he sits there,

00:12:34 --> 00:12:36
			does relieves himself,

00:12:36 --> 00:12:38
			and takes his in one narration, he says,

00:12:38 --> 00:12:39
			takes his his

00:12:39 --> 00:12:42
			his number 2 and rubs it rubs it

00:12:42 --> 00:12:43
			on the wall of the church.

00:12:44 --> 00:12:47
			Now this is extreme disrespect to the church.

00:12:48 --> 00:12:50
			Is fuming with rage.

00:12:50 --> 00:12:53
			He's angry, and he's like this can no

00:12:53 --> 00:12:56
			longer this this cannot be tolerated and I

00:12:56 --> 00:12:57
			have to take full revenge.

00:12:57 --> 00:12:59
			So what does he do? He realizes this

00:12:59 --> 00:13:02
			Arab came, Bedouin, now I gotta take revenge

00:13:02 --> 00:13:04
			from them. So he goes,

00:13:04 --> 00:13:05
			gathers his army

00:13:06 --> 00:13:06
			and

00:13:07 --> 00:13:10
			goes to the person who takes care of,

00:13:11 --> 00:13:13
			elephants and says that, hey listen, I need

00:13:13 --> 00:13:15
			your elephants with me, and I need a

00:13:15 --> 00:13:18
			huge army, and he starts to prepare and

00:13:18 --> 00:13:21
			prepare and prepare, and they start heading towards

00:13:21 --> 00:13:24
			Makkah. Today we're going to destroy Makkah. This

00:13:24 --> 00:13:26
			is We're going to destroy the Kaaba, this

00:13:26 --> 00:13:29
			is what we're going to do. They're going

00:13:29 --> 00:13:31
			On the way, there are people that are

00:13:31 --> 00:13:33
			realizing that, hey, this isn't right. That's the

00:13:33 --> 00:13:34
			house of Allah.

00:13:35 --> 00:13:37
			They they can't just go and destroy that.

00:13:37 --> 00:13:40
			So some people gain the courage to go

00:13:40 --> 00:13:43
			fight him, but his army was so strong

00:13:43 --> 00:13:46
			that he would completely wipe them out. And

00:13:46 --> 00:13:47
			he goes to another place,

00:13:48 --> 00:13:51
			wipes them out. Another place, wipes them out

00:13:51 --> 00:13:53
			till the point that he goes all the

00:13:53 --> 00:13:55
			way to Taif, and now Taif is the

00:13:55 --> 00:13:56
			outskirts

00:13:56 --> 00:13:59
			of Makkah. He reaches there and out in

00:13:59 --> 00:14:01
			Taif, the people told him, no, no, no

00:14:01 --> 00:14:03
			king, whatever you want we are with you.

00:14:03 --> 00:14:05
			We're even gonna give you this guy, He's,

00:14:06 --> 00:14:08
			you know, he's gonna navigate you. He's gonna

00:14:08 --> 00:14:10
			take you exactly to where you need to

00:14:10 --> 00:14:13
			be. Right? So, obviously feeling cowardly and all

00:14:13 --> 00:14:15
			of that, he's like, we don't have an

00:14:15 --> 00:14:17
			issue with you going and destroying the Kaaba.

00:14:17 --> 00:14:19
			We have our own idols over here, we

00:14:19 --> 00:14:21
			worship them, and you could do whatever you

00:14:21 --> 00:14:22
			want. We will help you, no problem.

00:14:23 --> 00:14:26
			They all gather, and they start marching towards

00:14:26 --> 00:14:28
			there. Before they even reach in the outskirts

00:14:28 --> 00:14:31
			of Mecca, there were some camels of the

00:14:31 --> 00:14:31
			Quraysh.

00:14:31 --> 00:14:34
			And he takes away all these camels as

00:14:34 --> 00:14:37
			well. And now, he's like, listen. I don't

00:14:37 --> 00:14:39
			wanna create any bloodshed and I don't wanna

00:14:39 --> 00:14:41
			do all that. But listen, I've come for

00:14:41 --> 00:14:43
			a mission. My mission is to destroy the

00:14:43 --> 00:14:44
			Kaaba.

00:14:44 --> 00:14:46
			And anybody comes in the way, I'm gonna

00:14:46 --> 00:14:48
			destroy them. He's like, okay, but you know,

00:14:48 --> 00:14:50
			you have to talk to the leader. The

00:14:50 --> 00:14:53
			leader is who Abdul Muttalib. So he sends

00:14:53 --> 00:14:55
			a messenger to go speak to Abdul Muttalib.

00:14:55 --> 00:14:58
			Abdul Muttalib hears what's going on. He's like,

00:14:58 --> 00:15:00
			okay. Let me go with you. He goes,

00:15:00 --> 00:15:04
			Abdul Muttalib, strong man, tall, handsome. When he

00:15:04 --> 00:15:06
			goes into the room,

00:15:07 --> 00:15:09
			Abraha is like, wow. This guy is a

00:15:09 --> 00:15:11
			real leader. I know why he's a leader.

00:15:11 --> 00:15:14
			He's, subhanallah, today whatever he asked, I mean,

00:15:14 --> 00:15:15
			that's it. He's gonna get

00:15:16 --> 00:15:18
			it. So he's like, what do you want?

00:15:18 --> 00:15:19
			He's like,

00:15:20 --> 00:15:21
			I I he's like, I've come here to

00:15:21 --> 00:15:22
			destroy your Kaaba

00:15:23 --> 00:15:25
			and other than that if you want something

00:15:25 --> 00:15:26
			we could work it out, but you know

00:15:26 --> 00:15:29
			I'm destroying the Kaaba. Like, okay, you're destroying

00:15:29 --> 00:15:31
			the Kaaba? Okay. So what she's like, so

00:15:31 --> 00:15:33
			you wanna work with me? He's like, yeah.

00:15:33 --> 00:15:35
			What's your terms? What do you want? I

00:15:35 --> 00:15:37
			just want my camels back.

00:15:37 --> 00:15:39
			And Abraha is like, what?

00:15:39 --> 00:15:40
			You're the leader?

00:15:41 --> 00:15:43
			I thought of you as something that you're

00:15:43 --> 00:15:44
			going to come

00:15:45 --> 00:15:47
			and fight me and tell me I want

00:15:47 --> 00:15:48
			to protect the Kaaba and I want to

00:15:48 --> 00:15:51
			do this and this. And your mere request

00:15:51 --> 00:15:52
			is just give me the just give me

00:15:52 --> 00:15:55
			your my camels? That's it? He's like, yeah.

00:15:56 --> 00:15:57
			And he's like,

00:15:58 --> 00:15:58
			listen.

00:15:59 --> 00:16:01
			I am responsible for the camels.

00:16:02 --> 00:16:03
			These are my my ownership.

00:16:05 --> 00:16:07
			As for the house of Allah,

00:16:07 --> 00:16:10
			it has an owner. It's Allah. He will

00:16:10 --> 00:16:12
			take care of it. We will leave it

00:16:12 --> 00:16:12
			to him.

00:16:13 --> 00:16:15
			And so, he leaves it just like that.

00:16:16 --> 00:16:19
			Abraha tells his army the next day, go.

00:16:20 --> 00:16:22
			Completely flatten out everything.

00:16:22 --> 00:16:25
			And so, as they start to march,

00:16:25 --> 00:16:28
			the elephants that are supposed to go, the

00:16:28 --> 00:16:30
			Kaaba is this way. If the elephants are

00:16:30 --> 00:16:33
			supposed to go this way, the elephants are

00:16:33 --> 00:16:35
			not going. They would just sit down and

00:16:35 --> 00:16:37
			say, uh-uh, I'm not moving forward.

00:16:37 --> 00:16:39
			If they would be turned this way, they

00:16:39 --> 00:16:41
			would start moving. If they would be turned

00:16:41 --> 00:16:43
			this way, they would start moving. But going

00:16:43 --> 00:16:46
			straight to the Kaaba, they're like, nope. We're

00:16:46 --> 00:16:46
			not moving.

00:16:47 --> 00:16:49
			And subhanallah from there Allah

00:16:50 --> 00:16:52
			sends the birds called

00:16:54 --> 00:16:56
			And that's where Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala reveals

00:16:56 --> 00:16:56
			the whole

00:16:57 --> 00:16:57
			subhanAllah,

00:16:58 --> 00:17:00
			the whole surah. And you know, the reason

00:17:00 --> 00:17:01
			why I told you

00:17:02 --> 00:17:05
			that you find so much within Sira is

00:17:05 --> 00:17:07
			because you realize the Quran is eternal. The

00:17:07 --> 00:17:10
			Quran is supposed to be guiding us till

00:17:10 --> 00:17:11
			the last day.

00:17:12 --> 00:17:14
			The Quran is supposed to be guiding us

00:17:14 --> 00:17:15
			till the last day.

00:17:16 --> 00:17:16
			So

00:17:17 --> 00:17:19
			why is there the story?

00:17:20 --> 00:17:21
			Because it's supposed to give us hope.

00:17:22 --> 00:17:25
			It's supposed to make us realize the qudra

00:17:25 --> 00:17:25
			of Allah.

00:17:26 --> 00:17:28
			It's supposed to make us realize

00:17:28 --> 00:17:30
			that when you have no power,

00:17:30 --> 00:17:33
			when all the people around you are cowards,

00:17:33 --> 00:17:36
			when nobody could stand up, when nobody is

00:17:36 --> 00:17:37
			going to defend,

00:17:37 --> 00:17:39
			when nobody is going to do that,

00:17:39 --> 00:17:41
			remember Allah is still there.

00:17:42 --> 00:17:45
			And remember when the power of Allah comes,

00:17:45 --> 00:17:47
			it doesn't matter if it was the biggest

00:17:47 --> 00:17:49
			army, or if it was the biggest equipment,

00:17:49 --> 00:17:52
			or if it was the biggest anything. When

00:17:52 --> 00:17:53
			the power of Allah comes,

00:17:54 --> 00:17:55
			it's a done deal.

00:17:55 --> 00:17:57
			And this is where we realize the power

00:17:57 --> 00:17:58
			of Allah

00:17:59 --> 00:18:01
			When the birds of Ababil comes,

00:18:02 --> 00:18:04
			and they have 1 stone in their mouth,

00:18:04 --> 00:18:06
			and 1 in one claw, 1 in another

00:18:06 --> 00:18:09
			claw, and they start to throw,

00:18:09 --> 00:18:12
			they would penetrate through the people and be

00:18:12 --> 00:18:15
			dead right there and then. And people are

00:18:15 --> 00:18:17
			running back and people are trying to protect

00:18:17 --> 00:18:17
			themselves.

00:18:18 --> 00:18:20
			And this became the talk

00:18:20 --> 00:18:22
			of the whole entire world.

00:18:23 --> 00:18:23
			That

00:18:24 --> 00:18:27
			something as big as this happened that somebody

00:18:27 --> 00:18:29
			go went and try to attack the house

00:18:29 --> 00:18:30
			of Allah but

00:18:31 --> 00:18:32
			Allah

00:18:32 --> 00:18:35
			sent such an army that he destroyed

00:18:35 --> 00:18:36
			all of them.

00:18:37 --> 00:18:40
			Even to the extent that they say, Abraha

00:18:41 --> 00:18:43
			wasn't killed right there because Allah Subhanahu Wa

00:18:43 --> 00:18:45
			Ta'ala wanted him to return to his people

00:18:45 --> 00:18:47
			so they could see him.

00:18:48 --> 00:18:50
			And they said that he was so afflicted

00:18:50 --> 00:18:53
			that part of his body would be dropping

00:18:53 --> 00:18:55
			every single day.

00:18:56 --> 00:18:58
			And that kept on happening until his neck

00:18:58 --> 00:19:00
			was left and it fell, and he was

00:19:00 --> 00:19:03
			completely gone. Allah kept a few people.

00:19:03 --> 00:19:04
			A few people Allah

00:19:05 --> 00:19:06
			kept as examples.

00:19:07 --> 00:19:09
			Even to the extent that Aisha radiAllahu anha

00:19:09 --> 00:19:12
			says, that the person who came with them

00:19:12 --> 00:19:13
			from Ta'if to guide them,

00:19:14 --> 00:19:15
			that person

00:19:15 --> 00:19:18
			we saw later on in my young childhood,

00:19:18 --> 00:19:19
			I saw him blind.

00:19:19 --> 00:19:21
			He would go around, he was people would

00:19:21 --> 00:19:23
			treat him as a crazy person.

00:19:23 --> 00:19:24
			Allah

00:19:24 --> 00:19:27
			showed to the people that number 1,

00:19:27 --> 00:19:28
			those people

00:19:28 --> 00:19:31
			who tried to mess with Allah, Allah's house,

00:19:31 --> 00:19:33
			and the places that are

00:19:33 --> 00:19:34
			sanctified,

00:19:35 --> 00:19:38
			Allah destroyed those people. And then Allah

00:19:38 --> 00:19:40
			kept some of them as an

00:19:41 --> 00:19:43
			as a lesson learned for the people alive.

00:19:44 --> 00:19:45
			And then Allah

00:19:46 --> 00:19:48
			brings it in the Quran and brings it

00:19:48 --> 00:19:50
			in the of the prophet salallahu alayhi wa

00:19:50 --> 00:19:52
			sallam. For you and I to learn, for

00:19:52 --> 00:19:54
			you and I to be hopeful, for you

00:19:54 --> 00:19:57
			and I to have our trust in Allah

00:19:57 --> 00:19:58
			subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:19:58 --> 00:20:00
			and know that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in

00:20:00 --> 00:20:03
			his hands is what a human cannot imagine.

00:20:05 --> 00:20:07
			And this was why why was this incident

00:20:07 --> 00:20:09
			happening at this time?

00:20:09 --> 00:20:11
			Because this was the year the prophet was

00:20:12 --> 00:20:13
			born.

00:20:13 --> 00:20:15
			And these were all precursors

00:20:16 --> 00:20:18
			to show the people that something big is

00:20:18 --> 00:20:19
			happening this year.

00:20:20 --> 00:20:22
			And that was the birth of the prophet

00:20:23 --> 00:20:24
			and subhanAllah

00:20:25 --> 00:20:27
			more and more signs come

00:20:27 --> 00:20:29
			about the arrival of the prophet

00:20:30 --> 00:20:32
			and inshallah we're going to cover

00:20:33 --> 00:20:34
			even the last story I planned on doing

00:20:34 --> 00:20:36
			today, but it's already getting late. InshaAllah we're

00:20:36 --> 00:20:37
			gonna cover

00:20:37 --> 00:20:39
			the life of the Prophet Prophet

00:20:40 --> 00:20:42
			father, his mother, and we will continue on.

00:20:42 --> 00:20:45
			But the minimum we can take from today,

00:20:45 --> 00:20:47
			story is to know that

00:20:48 --> 00:20:50
			when you have your faith in Allah

00:20:50 --> 00:20:51
			then

00:20:52 --> 00:20:53
			trust me,

00:20:54 --> 00:20:54
			no power,

00:20:55 --> 00:20:56
			no

00:20:56 --> 00:20:58
			nothing can come in the way of that.

00:20:59 --> 00:20:59
			Allah

00:21:00 --> 00:21:01
			has a true power

00:21:02 --> 00:21:04
			and when he wishes, when he wills,

00:21:04 --> 00:21:07
			but the only thing that's left is our

00:21:07 --> 00:21:08
			on him.

00:21:13 --> 00:21:13
			Allah

00:21:14 --> 00:21:15
			and the prophet said Allah

00:21:16 --> 00:21:18
			tells us to call Allah

00:21:18 --> 00:21:21
			and you are assure of dua. You know

00:21:21 --> 00:21:21
			100%

00:21:22 --> 00:21:24
			that your dua is going to be accepted.

00:21:25 --> 00:21:25
			Unfortunately,

00:21:26 --> 00:21:26
			today,

00:21:26 --> 00:21:29
			these have all come become fairy tales for

00:21:29 --> 00:21:32
			us. They became stories for us. So we

00:21:32 --> 00:21:34
			hear them, but we don't believe in them.

00:21:34 --> 00:21:35
			We make

00:21:35 --> 00:21:36
			but we don't believe in it.

00:21:37 --> 00:21:39
			And until we come out of that state,

00:21:40 --> 00:21:42
			the state of negligence, the state of

00:21:43 --> 00:21:45
			where we are just hearing these stories as

00:21:45 --> 00:21:46
			the sake of stories,

00:21:46 --> 00:21:49
			until we bring them into our life and

00:21:49 --> 00:21:50
			know that my is

00:21:51 --> 00:21:52
			stronger than

00:21:52 --> 00:21:55
			whatever this world has and whatever it contains,

00:21:56 --> 00:21:58
			until we come to that belief, we will

00:21:58 --> 00:22:01
			always feel like peasants. We will always feel

00:22:01 --> 00:22:03
			like we are the ones at the lower

00:22:03 --> 00:22:05
			end. We will always feel like we have

00:22:05 --> 00:22:08
			nothing. But once you have the dua and

00:22:08 --> 00:22:10
			understand the power of dua,

00:22:10 --> 00:22:13
			and know that Allah will accept it, then

00:22:13 --> 00:22:15
			you know that you have the upper hand

00:22:15 --> 00:22:15
			anytime,

00:22:16 --> 00:22:18
			any day, at any circumstances.

00:22:18 --> 00:22:19
			May Allah allow

00:22:20 --> 00:22:21
			us to really understand

00:22:22 --> 00:22:25
			this religion, the beautiful religion of Islam, understand

00:22:25 --> 00:22:26
			the life of the prophet

00:22:27 --> 00:22:29
			and implement his sunnah in our life.
