Wasim Kempson – Hajj Faq 07 – What Are the Common Mistakes People Make on Hajj

			when we were young, when we were growing up, our parents, they taught us Islam. They encouraged us
to be muslims and taught us to love Allah subhanaw taala and love the messenger Muhammad sallallahu

			However, at times, there were things which were passed on maybe from one generation to the next,
which maybe weren't from Islam, had good intention, wanted to bring about some goodness, however,
didn't really have any basis within the religion of Islam. And over a period of time, that people
then thought this was a genuine, authentic Islamic practice. However, we know that the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told us that, beware, be very careful of these newly invented matters,
		

			that these newly invented matters are a source of misguidance and misguidance, of course, will
ultimately take that person to the Hellfire We ask Allah, Allah, Allah to protect us, I mean,
		

			so on the course of our journey, in practicing Islam and you know, engaging with knowledge and
gaining more knowledge, it's important to refer back to the authentic practices of that what we find
in the Quran. And that what we find in the authentic sources from the Sunnah of the Prophet

			as I mentioned, that there may have been good intention from one particular individual that got past
on other times, there may be actions which are done, however, the evidence which doesn't support
that there may be something a weak Hadith, or maybe a number of reasons. And all of these things may

may have, at a particular time, or when you are performing an act of a bad act of worship. These are
common things that people have.
		

			Now, in fact, you know, the scholars of the past, they would compile books of narrations and these
narrations, which were very frequent on the tongues of people. However, these narrations were weak.
They, some of them were made up narrations. Some of them were very weak narrations. And scholars of
the past compiled the books of these narrations saying these are generations which are frequently
mentioned on the tongues of people. There are many books written like this Subhanallah to identify
and make sure people were aware of those narrations which were weak and didn't have any basis in
SLM. So this is not, you know, a modern day phenomenon, where people are, you know, being
		

			overzealous in you know, pointing out mistakes, or pointing out things which don't have any basis in
Islam. This is something that existed from the you know, the early times of Islam, making sure one's
Islam is based upon authentic sources and I don't think really, anyone should argue or want to argue
or disagree with, everything we should do should be referred back to the Quran and the Sunnah,
referring to authentic sources. Now, on the topic of hajj, there are multiple things that people
believe that they do during the Hajj that they believe to be correct.
		

			We should know that Alhamdulillah Islam is perfect.
		

			There is nothing has been left out in Al Islam. The Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam taught us
everything, everything that was revealed to him, he taught to us Al Hamdulillah. And it has all
preserved there are no shortcuts. In arriving at something before or how the Prophet salallahu
Alaihe Salam taught us. He told us the optimum and best and only way in how to do acts of acts of
worship.

person passed away, you want to make Hajj for another person, that's fine, that's clear, but to take
part of the pilgrimage and dedicate that, then we say no, that's incorrect. And Allah's pattern is
best. Also, when throwing the stones on the Jamaat, that you think that these are shaytans
themselves, this is the devil. And therefore you find people throwing umbrellas and shoes and knows
what that they can find. This is not the case, this is not the devil himself. Okay, this is as the
prophets are certain but done to establish the remembrance of Allah subhanho wa taala.
		

			And also,
		

			there are many common mistakes and we don't have time to go through some of them or all of them, but
some of them are mentioned in the last one we mentioned China, Tyler, is the Cabot self and touching

authentic practice. And it goes back to what I mentioned at the beginning brothers, sisters of
