Welcome back to the program. I'm your host, Lucy ma Ismail, and as
you heard, we are speaking about the see the seerah of the Prophet,
sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam. And in this series, we already touched
last week on the birth of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam, and this week we will discuss the childhood of the
Prophet Muhammad, sallAllahu, alayhi wa sallam, and my guest
accompanying me in studio this morning is Malina. How are you
sisters? Lima and all the wonderful listeners of the voice
of the voice of the Alhamdulillah, we're doing good,
Alhamdulillah. And last week, we spoke about the the birth and also
the events surrounding that now, they have been many extraordinary
events, not only through the birth of the Prophet, sallAllahu, alayhi
wa sallam, but also throughout his childhood and the rest of his
life. So Malina, you may enlighten us on those events here.
InshaAllah, Bismillah. Rahman Al Rahim, WABA hinahu wa dasala,
Rasul, Kareem, Barat, assalamu. Alaikum. Everyone. Yes, Masha,
Allah, I'm actually very excited discussing this, because just by
going through this beautiful history, Allah, Subhanahu wa Tala
kind of open up certain, you know, na Fahad, like we say, openings
for us in order for us to think much more about the the favors
that Allah, Subhanahu, WA bestowed upon us, first of all, with the
prophet Ali Salam being our Rasul Abu ha talabi hin, as well as our
greatest of examples, Subhanallah, and how we can implement whatever
he has done in our lives. And last week, masha Allah, we've touched
based on the birth of the messenger, sallAllahu. SallAllahu,
how many things we have learned with regards to only when isallah
was born, Allah subhanahu wa, already enlightened the entire
globe, all the creation of Allah subhanahu wa, that this being that
is entering into this world. He is the greatest of Allah subhanahu wa
sallam is the Beloved of Allah subhanahu wa subhanu wa Taala
calls him Al Habib the beloved. Al Mustafa The Chosen One, Al mujheba
The chosen one as well, Al muqtar The Chosen One. So many, many
attributes. Allah subhanahu wa gives the Prophet, alayhi, salatu
wa salam, and it is for us to take listen from this, how much Allah
subhanahu wa actually love him? Can we imagine Allah subhanahu wa
love him so much that Allah subhanahu wa mentioned to us in
the Quran that whatever he salah or Ali wa salam came with we have
to accept it. We have to follow it. There is no way that we can
deny it, Allah subhanahu wa, attach the beloved name of the
Prophet Sallam to our kalima or kalima to Taiba. We cannot call
ourselves Muslims if we don't believe in Allah subhanahu wa as
the only god Allah. But with that attached to that Muhammad Al
rasala, that the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam is the messenger
of Allah subhanahu wa and ya Allah subhanahu wa, that you have to
follow the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam in whatever he
says, wama, anahaqu manufa, as Allah subhanahu wat us from doing
certain things and actions, making it haram for us. Allah subhanahu
wa, add to that that whatever the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam
negates you from doing and prohibits you from doing. Is it
not enough for Allah subhanahu wa to mention to us that things are
prohibited, yes, but Allah loves him so much in Allah subhanahu wa
taala mentioned even what he sub Allah Ali wasallah mentioned, you
abstain from it if He prohibits you from doing that. Where does
this boil? Back to Jamaat al muslimid As Allah subhanahu wa
mentioned in the Quran, but explaining who is this beloved to
Allah subhanho wa taala. He is Mayan te Kuan ILAHA. He is that
messenger who whatever he speaks, it doesn't come from himself. In
Hua illallah, you knew her. It is Allah subhanahu wa revealing wahi
upon him. SallAllahu sallam, in whatever he mentioned, mentions to
the creation of Allah subhanahu wa, that is as his followers,
subhanAllah, and not only humankind, listened to him.
SallAllahu sallam, it was also the jinn kind. They listened to him.
It was also the inanimate objects Subhanallah that he had to be with
him and listen to him. And they greeted him, and they wanted to be
close to him, SubhanAllah. And there are many examples that we
will still be touching base on, inshaAllah. But today we speak
about the childhood of the Prophet alayhi salatu wasalam. And how do
we feel as children? Or can we perhaps, remember how we used to
feel as kids? We love to play, we love to be outside. We love to be
in the company of people that we love, you know, all those type of
things that happen to us. He said, Allah Ali wa salam was a child. He
also wanted to be in the company of those loved ones that he loved.
Of and also he wanted to play outside in Mashallah. Let's touch
base and take a small little journey into the life of the
prophet Sallallahu, sallam, being a child SubhanAllah. So we all
know that it was customary for the Arab tribes at that particular
moment in time that they would send the little infants to the
outskirts of of makatul mukarama, or to the village that they lived
in. And they would go and they would learn the FASA of the
language, you know, to to speak the language with eloquence, and
this by this meaning, the Arabic language, subhanAllah, and also
for them to be physically active, because what happened on the
outskirts, you know, it's a much tougher life to live. And also the
they are not the people of the villages on the outskirts of
makatul mukarama. They will not involved in, you know, the
language whereby new language will infiltrate the language. And then,
like we would say, in Cape Town, you get Afrikaans, but then you
get combat Afrikaans, you know, or we get Eagles, and then we get
mingles. So this is what transpired with the language. And
this is anywhere in the world, you know language, it will evolve. But
when you go to the outskirts, you'll get the, you know, the
eloquence of that language. It will remain intact. And that is
why the Arabs used to sin and and all as we also know the time of
the Prophet al sad. You know, as every prophet had a certain time
with in the time work whereby certain things transpired, for
example, in isa Ali Salat was salam style. It was medicine, you
know. And we know that when it came to the buchazad of Isa Ali,
salatu assalam, that it was in, you know, it was with regards to
medicine. For example, he would let the blind see, know, somebody
that passed on he will bring to life. And that is the Allah
subhanahu wa salam and then Musa alay Salat was salams time. He was
Kalimah used to speak to Allah Subhan wa taala. Is that was a big
thing in the time, you know, miracles and things had to
transpire. But then with the Prophet alayhi salat wa salams
time, it was language. You know, the Arabs, they were very proud of
the language, how they used to speak with eloquence, and nobody
could talk them when it comes to the Arabic language, masha Allah.
And they would have, often some competitions that took place. And
they the ther of the time, the poets of the time. They would
write certain poetry, and they will then see who would be the
best and the most eloquent in use, usage of the language Masha Allah.
But here the Prophet alayhi salatu waslam In a young age, and all the
other infants of that time, they were sent to the outskirts and
mashaAllah to go and learn the particular Arabic language to the
most best they could, masha Allah And Alhamdulillah, you know, at
the time when these mothers, you know, came to come and receive
their children that they would now take to their respective homes.
Alhamdulillah, the prophet alayhis, one of them that this
particular time. And what transpired was, then they found
out that no this particular infant, He is an orphan. You know,
he has no father. He passed away very early. And then, you know, as
natural as it could be, is like, if there's no father, okay, who's
going to pay us? You know, because when they come, they want to be
paid, uh, SubhanAllah. And most of them, and everyone, actually,
everyone, turned away from this young one, Muhammad, sallAllahu
sallam, and they wanted to grab each and everyone. And Allah
subhanahu wa is infinite wisdom, he made it such that Han Halima
adiya, and she from the banisha tribe. She was the last of them.
And she looked and she thought, subhanAllah, I'm the only one.
This is the only child that is left. And at first, you know, she
had the riora towards him. She thought, not going to take this
child. I'm just going to turn away and I'm going to walk away
Subhanallah, right, as the Arabic would say, wahakada Halima from
sarafat. And for the first time that she should, she thought, No,
I'm rather going to turn away from Him out of her pal Bahu alihi wa,
al hamaha, al Hama, Allahu bahubau So and then Allah subhanahu wa,
she developed a an attachment to this youngster, subhanAllah, and
then mashaAllah, she found it in her heart that, okay, I'm going to
take this youngster, subhanAllah, not knowing what is going to
transpire with her now, because in their minds, it was all about
monetary value. It was that how I could benefit monetary wise. But
Subhanallah, she did not know what is to come for her by taking this
youngster that Allah subhanahu wa so dearly and Allah subhanahu wa
is trying to nurture. Remember when I say Allah is trying to
nurture? Sub Allah, nobody else was there for himself. His father
passed on. He was no longer there. He was an orphan from birth,
subhanAllah, and now he's moving away from his mother. He's only
two years old. SubhanAllah mahav is an infant. He's an infant. He's
moving away now to be breastfed, subhanAllah, and now they're
leaving. And now certain things are transpiring. Everybody's
looking at Harima witness that there's a lot of barakah with
this.
Because that animal that she came with, it was meek and weak, you
know, there was, there was struggling Subhanallah as a
family. Suddenly Rob, this animal is becoming nice. And you know
what was the cafeches. It was meek and weak. And now mashallah
gaining some weight, and Allahu Akbar seeing that milk. You know,
it is full on coming now, and they all could benefit from the milk of
the animal, Allahu, Akbar. And here she started to see that
there's something about this child that is unique and that is very
special. And she started to love him dearly. Masha, Allah, and now,
Alhamdulillah,
as they moved on, Halima started to witness the Barakat in her
household now, masha Allah everything her past, you know,
greeneries, everything has increased. You know, the pastures
food, everything, with regards to their life, has increased. Masha
Allah and Allah subhanahu wa. And what transpired was that Halima
had two children as well, a daughter named mashema, and then
an elderly son as well. Masha Allah and the Prophet alays used
to go out now, and used to go into the fields. And used to go and
pray with these children, Alhamdulillah. And he used to
enjoy going out with the children. But what transpired here, and this
is a great lesson for us to learn from the Prophet alayhi salatu
salam, that here, the Prophet alayhi salatu salam went out, they
played in the fields, and suddenly, what happened? An angel
appeared. Now for young children to see this. It is extremely
scary, right? So it is mentioned that the young ones that was with
the Prophet alayhi salatu was immediately when they saw that he
started running, right? But the prophet alays Ram, he had shajar
since young. He was very, very, very strong, Alhamdulillah, and
he, he stood his ground, Allahu Akbar. And this angel that came
was none other than Jibreel Ali,
right? And they it's mentioned that Jibreel Alisa then went to
him and tug him to the ground, but the Prophet didn't give it. Give
up easy. It said that he struggled back, but eventually they threw
him on the ground, and what happened? Then they opened his
chest, right? They opened his chest, took out his heart.
Subhanallah, can you imagine, you know, the amount of trauma that a
child would go through, but the Prophet Allah, Allah, Subhanahu wa
instilled bravery within him. He put out. Through the entire
process, his heart was opened up, and then Masha Allah cleaned with
Zamzam water. And then what did Jubilee Ali salatu salam do? He
took out a black piece from the heart of the Prophet. It is being
mentioned that a health right from shaytan. Dahaba HUD dubina,
shaytan as Jubilee Ali Salam mentioned that I've taken out the
black piece of shaytan from you. So all of us, we have shaytan with
us. But the prophet at the age, a young, tender age, it was taken
out from his heart. His heart was washed with ZamZam, and then it
was placed back, and his chest closed again. And then the
youngsters, masha Allah, they went home, and they were very scared,
and they told Halima and her husband that this is what
transpired. And then they ran to the field, and when they came back
Subhanallah, they found the Prophet sallallahu, sallam,
sitting and not being in a state of shock, but also in a state of,
you know, something has transpired that is not normal. So he now
showed that Subhanallah, something happened. And it is mentioned that
Anas, idumali, radulata, I mean, ending up for this before the
break inshaAllah, Ana, he saw after 54 years, I think it was
when the Prophet alayhi salatu wasallam was 60 years old. He said
that I saw the line that was no on the chest of the Prophet Sallam
that how it has been opened and closed up, why Allah subhanho wa
Taala could have made it a perfect cut. And Allah wanted to show that
this is something physical that took place. His chest was
literally opened and closed. So the first heart transplant was not
done by was it
the doctor, Chris Barnard, but it was done by Jibril Ali, said to
slam but the Prophet inshallah will go for a short break. We do
go for a break now, and when we return, We will be continuing.
Yes, we are continuing with the seer of the Prophet sallallahu,
alayhi wa sallam. And right before the break, we were ending off on
the first heart transplant Asmaa now I see mentioned, and that was
the cleansing of the heart of the Prophet sallallahu, alaihi
wasallam, by Jibreel Ali Salam ma'am.
Listeners,
yes, SubhanAllah. We hear that here a youngster, subhanAllah is
chosen. And sometimes when I think about this, you know, when I look
at our children who learn the Quran, those Masha Allah parents
that take some time with the kids and trying to teach their
children, the Dean of Allah, Subhanahu wa, send them away,
subhanAllah, you know, I've got friends of mine, colleagues of
mine, that's been since a young age, time alone. As far as Egypt,
you know, no parents, you know SubhanAllah. They were just, it's
at school there, and they were looked after by either colleagues
or friends of the parents, masha Allah, and they survived, and
today, they are doing so much for our society. Those are the special
gazes that Allah subhanahu wa had upon these children Subhanallah
today, they are big men, and they are benefiting society. So these
are the lessons that we take from the Prophet alayhi salatu wa
salami. Inshallah, in a few minutes, we will discuss lessons
that we can take from just the birth and from the childhood of
the Rasul SallAllahu, alaihi wasallamina, how we can implement
it in our life in sha Allah. But one of the things that I also
wanted to mention is that we understand that after two years,
Halima saradiya, the mother of the Prophet. So she returned. And it
was the custom after two years, you have to return the the
children to their respective mothers. And when this child, the
Prophet Muhammad SAW, was returned, then she had this, you
know, this feeling in the heart that she still wanted to have the
Prophet SAW with her, And Alhamdulillah, it was then
accepted by the mother of the Prophet alayhi salatu wasallam, by
seeing her desire so much that she wanted to still have the Prophet
al salam with her. Another two years the Prophet Muhammad,
sallAllahu, Sallam spent with Halima Asha Allah. So this is
important for us to know, within the life of the Rasul Salam, how
he brought baraka and Don't think for one second he brought Baraka
in that time when he was alive, that he cannot bring barakah in
the time that we are alive. Now he might not be with us, but there
are so many ways that we can benefit from the Rasul Salam, and
how can we benefit from him? He Salah wa ala Salam says that
whoever love my sunnah. What does this mean? His way of life,
practicing it, trying to implement it. You know, being of those who
emulate him, sallAllahu, sallam, in what he has done, using the
siwak, wearing the Imam, doing everything the way that he used to
do in SubhanAllah. And some people think that, for example, last
night, I spoke about the the mishwa in our Majid and I said
that some people, you know, they feel that, no, there are tooth
brushes today. Yes, Alhamdulillah, we have to brush our teeth in the
morning. We use the toothpaste. But that can never be equated to
using, using the Siwa. Why? Because Muhammad Sallallahu,
Sallam used the Siwa, that is Rasha Allah, something that we can
use if there is nothing else, but if we have the Siwa throughout the
day, then why should we not use the Siwa? May Allah subhanahu wa
understanding the Siwa is so important for us to use the
mizuak. Why? Because the Prophet Salla said, Jibril came offered to
me, and he used to remind me of making the Siwa so much that I
feared that Allah subhanahu wa made this incumbent upon my ummah.
Can we imagine even Jibril Ali said to Salam he mashaAllah
encouraged the Prophet alayhi, salatu waslam To use the Siwa. And
just for our benefit, the Siwa has so many benefits. One of the
benefits is it increases your intelligence. The benefit is,
obviously, it's for your the smell in your mouth, masha Allah, it
brings up the good smell. And one of the great things is also for
those with with bad eyesight, right? It increases your eyesight.
Subhanallah, sometimes we go to the great pair of
glasses there, maybe we should try to wear the Siwa to use this Iraq
Inshallah, maybe the glasses will disappear. This is the problem
with the Ummah today, you know, we have this, but we don't believe
it. What needs to come with using this Iraq is that yakin and Allah,
Subhanahu wa that my salah, Salah said that if I use this, it will
in the hearts my eyesight. Allah, I'm not saying throw your glasses
away, but I say try it. You know, full heartedly say that my prophet
saws will do that and see Inshallah, if it works
Alhamdulillah. Mean, I would say, if it would, when the Prophet SAW
say, I love to say that it will work Subhanallah, but it depends
on our yakin and Al tawakul Allahu, subhana wa Taala is best.
So Inshallah, let us try to practice his sunnah. Because he
says, Whoever loves my sunnah loves me, right? So, yeah, demand
Masha Allah, from Allah subhanho wa Taala in command, Allah
subhanho wa Taala says, In Gunton to him, Boon, Allah, if you love
Allahu, tell them, Muhammad, they they must follow you. So yeah, his
sunnah comes in again. We have to follow his sunnah. What will
happen if we follow his sunnah? Your law, you will receive the
love, but only from Muhammad.
Salam, but the love from Allah, SubhanAllah. Can we imagine here,
Halima,
the monk, mother of the monk, mother of the Prophet sallam, she
yearned to be in the company of the Prophet sallallahu, and will
hear now what transpired many years later. I think it was about
54 years later when Fathom took place. Then
there was a situation that occurred. So obviously, the Banu
said tribe was also conquered. And then there was this one girl that
mentioned that I am the sister of Muhammad. I am the sister of
Muhammad. You cannot do anything to me. And the Sahaba did not know
what to do. And they went to the Prophet alayhi salatu, wa salam.
They said, Ya Rasulullah, this one person. She said that she's your
sister, but we cannot see any resemblance, and we can't
understand why she would say that the Prophet, why? What did she
say? And he's they said that. She said that I still have the marks
of the bite that you have bitten me when you were an infant whilst
I was carrying you, and the Prophet Sallam realized that that
is Shema, that is my Moses, the Masha Allah, that is the daughter
of Halima, my mother come and called her and Masha Allah. He
offered many gifts, masha Allah. And obviously what happened that
she became a Muslim. And in certain narrations it happened, it
was mentioned also that at the time of
halimashi, and husband was not present. But after that, then
they, they came mashallah, and then Rasulullah met with them, and
he, it is believed also in one rewire, that they became Muslim,
and he also Masha Allah made they said that he took his Rida off, he
placed it on the ground, and it allowed her to sit on his because
it was his mother. You know, in that time, they didn't call him
mothers. She was like his mother. And he also Masha Allah, and gave
her many, many gifts. Masha Allah, as she entered into the fold of
Islam, and Allah subhanho wa Taala allow us that we can also have
these effects on people. Masha Allah, because I'm sure and
certain that there are many people that we also see as mothers that
when we were small, and look at how the Prophet alayhi salatu was
honored them. You know, he honored. He took his own shore,
you know, his radar off and he placed it on the ground for the
mother to sit on top of it. How do we honor? We believe alone our
world mothers. Just speak about our own mothers, if they enter our
homes, do we make them feel loved? Do we make them feel comfortable?
Do we make the this is the life of Rasulullah. This is that sunnah
that he said, love this about me and I will love you. It is not
only lip service. It is action. We need to place it put into action
inshallah. So treat your mothers kindly. We will hear inshallah in
the seven lessons that we can take from the life of the life of the
prophet Sallallahu. That is also how we honor our mothers, Masha,
Allah. So here the Prophet alayhi said he did that. And look here
through him, Salah Allah gave Barakat that we also, we must also
try to be means of barakat for others, where they see that, if
they look at us, you know, there's a light that lit up in their lives
that they want to live. They want to do more. They want to to honor
Allah, Subhanahu, WA make us the Sabbath, to do, to be like this
for others inshaAllah. I mean, I Rami and the Prophet saw was, and
then one of the things that I want to mention is that at a very
tender age, the Prophet alays rasalam, his grandfather now took
mashallah, and his mother passed away. His mother passed away at
the age of six years old, when the Prophet sallam was six, and then
he was placed in the care of his grandfather. The grandfather was
always obviously the one also that called him Muhammad. Named him
Muhammad, and he was asked why he called him Muhammad, because his
grandfather mentioned that I wanted him to be praised in this
world as well as in the Salawat, masha Allah, that is why Muhammad
meaning the praised one, not only here, but in the Samara. Anybody
who mentioned his name, whether we are muslim or whether you are not
Muslim, just by calling him Muhammad, you are praising him. So
Allah. Look at how Allah chose his name for him as well. Everyone
will praise him, masha Allah, and then Allah subhanahu wa then made
it such. He's a small child now in the care of his grand his
grandfather, Abdul Muttalib. And as he was in the care of Abdul
Muttalib, normally the the leaders of the Quraysh of that time, they
would have a raised platform. And his grandfather, Abdul Muttalib,
he was one of those who were the honorable and the most honored
among the Quraysh tribe. He had his raised platform. And no one,
Zubair, none of them, the children of Abdul Muttalib, were allowed to
sit on that platform. But one day, Muhammad SAW he went, and he went
to go and sit on this platform. And Zubair and the likes of him,
the other brothers of Zubair and the children of Abdul, Abdul
muttali, they tried to pull the Prophet alayhi, salatul, salam
from the platform, and Abdul Muttalib, the father of them, and
the grandfather of Rasul, assalam, told them and commanded them that
leave him. And he mentioned that this grandchild of mine, he has a
bright future and leadership ahead of imbasha Allah. So there already
we could.
See that his grandfather loved him dearly, and also he was an orphan.
You know, he had none he had noone. His grandfather loved him
so dearly that he allowed for him also to sit on that platform,
masha Allah, and here once again, two years after that, just two
years after that, his grandfather passed away, SubhanAllah. What a
young life and youth this had to be, you know, if it was us, it
would have been traumatic. You are born without a father. Then six.
At the age of six years old, you lose your mother. Then at the age
of eight years old, you lose your your grandfather, who's taking
care of you. And now the grandfather, obviously one of his
children, mashaAllah, the brothers of Abdullah. He now Abu Talib. He
is taking care, taking care of the Prophet alayhi salatu wasalam, and
it's mentioned till very late in his life. MashaAllah, Abu Talib
lived, I think, till about the age of 50. The Prophet SAW was Abu
Talib was still alive, masha Allah, and taking care of the
prophet Ali salatu assalam. So ya Masha Allah, we can see that his
childhood was a challenge. It was difficult. So today we should not
look at things that if we are faced with challenges and
difficulties, we should not be of those who say that life is too
difficult for us. We will not be able to cope. You know, all those
mechanisms that we use today we look into the life of our Rasul,
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, what has he been through? How many of
us can even equate our difficulties with him? SallAllahu,
alayhi wa sallam's difficulties, I'm talking to the youth now, to
the young ones. Masha Allah, you must you know all of us. We will
face challenges in life. Look at him. Salah. Salah. No mother to be
there for him and comfort him. No father, no grandfather. The uncle
passed away. Masha Allah, his uncle was there for him for very
long. But how many of us? You know? We have mothers, we have
fathers, we have grandparents, we have uncles and aunts and
everything. But still we are complaining. Go to them and sit by
them and learn from their wisdoms, because they have lived for a very
long time in this earth, and they will be able to teach us a lot.
What are we doing as youngsters? Now we confide with our friends,
then also go through traumatic differences and difficulties in
their lives. And now we take the advice from somebody that is my
age, or of my age. How does that person have any experience of life
and how to deal with things? And that's why some, sometimes we get
into trouble because listening to our friends, masha Allah here, the
Prophet, alas, he was in the company of the elders from a young
age. And this is important. Inshallah, when we discuss the
lessons, and I'll I'll explain, let our little ones. You know how
we converse with them, the language, how we treat them, and
how we hear them, is very important. I remember in our
times. You know, our elders used to say, if we sit in the company
of elders was a big problem, we either get a hiding, or you would,
you would hear the the clause. What was the clause that may bond?
You know, the way that I say it was beautiful. You know, the way
that our elders you say it was in a different way, different tone.
You know, we would understand immediately that we need to leave
that place immediately. Subhanallah, so Allah, Subhanahu
wa, you know, through the Prophet's example, we can learn
that, you know, be in the company of elders, ask them your
questions. You know, confide in them. You know, this is what is
very important, because also for elders, now that I speak about it,
sometimes, you know, it's very difficult for a youngster to
approach an elder because the elders face already show you a you
know, you you, you must be in your zone. Now the Prophet Alisa, he
mentioned in a hadith, Malala Kabir Rana,
you saw assalam, said that, whoever does not show mercy to the
young. I don't expect it. When you in old age, people will show you
mercy. But if you do it, you know, the opposite effect of that is,
and the opposite understanding of that is, if you show youngsters
mercy, then at your old age, youngsters will, you know, they
will show mercy to you. SubhanAllah. So let us be of those
who mashaAllah. When our youngsters come forth as elders,
if we open our hearts, you know, if we sit down with him and we
explain to them Insha Allah, and this will actually create a
beautiful society, because this is what happened in the time of the
messages. He was a youngster, but everyone trusted him. He was known
as a Sadiq, and Al Amin as the truthful and the one that they
could trust SubhanAllah. So here is qualities that we need to
install within our lives from a young age, and then everybody will
be able to trust us. You know, it doesn't be known as you know,
if you speak about Muslims today, subhanAllah, it is, it is very
sad. You know, you go to businesses, Muslim businesses,
scallop. That's the normally, that is what is attached to a Muslim
Subhanallah, mechanics. Oh, there also be la Allah protect us. We
need to gain our other back and our dignity. We are Muslim. We
are, you know, we are the followers of Muhammad, sallAllahu,
alasallam, and here we can see in his life that they could trust him
with, with, with the most precious belongings. So.
Subhanallah, he just mentioned that when the Prophet made hijra,
he made hijra to Madina. You know, he was still entrusted with in the
time of jahiliyya, those people entrusted certain positions with
him, and it was in makatul mukarrama, and he sent a
delegation to go and to go and distribute it to those people that
it belonged to. That is the honesty of the Prophet. That is
how we would Subhanallah be known as truthful and known as the
trustworthy one SubhanAllah. They could trust them with their lives,
you know. And this is what we need to get within our lives.
Inshallah, the beautiful statement in Arabic says Al haytmah, $2 to
mean that, you know, haikma and wisdom is the last commodity today
of the believer. We need to get it back. It is ours. Masha Allah,
mathematics came from us. History came from us. Whatever astronomy,
anything that we want to think about, it came from us as Muslims.
Masha Allah and may Allah, subhanho wa Taala open up for us
again. Let us delve into inshallah now the seven lessons. I've got
seven of them Inshallah, which we will mention from the Prophet
Muhammad SAW childhood. And the first one is learning from the
elders, right that we've mentioned. Now, learning from the
elders he saw. Assalam used to do this. So the Prophet Muhammad SAW
his grandfather, Abdul Muttalib, used to sit near the Kaaba, where
the prophet Muhammad SAW would join him observing the
conversations of Quraysh, eldest Masha Allah. They are important.
Once again, I've mentioned that if the little on Sunday, you know,
interact with them in a manner that is,
how can I say eloquent? You know that the speech can be like that.
They must be able to converse, because when they grow up, they
need to have the skill of conversation, and also understand
that what the outcomes need to be, it needs to be positive and not
leaving that conversation in a state where we are angered with
each other, whereby we are enemies with each other. It wasn't the way
this was learned. It was a skill that was developed in the Prophet
Muhammad SAW his life. Very early in his life, he was a child
Subhanallah Allah sat next to his grandfather, Abdul mu Talib, will
always say that this grandchild of Maya Muhammad is going to be a
very significant person one day, you know,
bring this, this quality of confidence within the children
Masha Allah. And he mentioned this in front of Muhammad, sallAllahu,
to know that there's greatness that's awaiting you. Masha Allah,
right, we should engage our children in intellectual
conversations and always show them that we are proud of them. You
know, not, not pushing them down. Ah, you know, 99% you know, like
it happened to us, what happened to the 1% we get 99% in
mathematics, I remember that in our parents will say, What
happened to the other 1% Jeep Subhanallah was very strange that
we thought it was done good, but Alhamdulillah, they always pushed
us to our capacity. Today's children are different, right?
Created confidence within them. InshaAllah, then number two would
be, obviously, that learn, learning and fitness, fitness. It
comes with learning. The people of the Quran used to send their
newborns to the desert to learn the proper Arabic language and to
gain physical strength from a young age. If you look at today,
you know, people are looking at they love being intellectual. So
it's important for us, right, that if we create leaders for tomorrow,
let their language be up to standard. You know, because you
can be a brilliant leader, but if you cannot converse, then people
will not generally take to you, SubhanAllah. And that is why, at a
young age, try to teach the children the proper way, even
whether it is English or whatever language it is, obviously much
more. We try, inshallah to Allah, to implement the Arabic language
and teach them to understand that language as well. Inshallah to
Allah. So the Quraysh used to do this, masha Allah. The people of
the Quraysh used to send. They used to send the kids to the
desert Masha to learn the Arabic language. And the Prophet
Muhammad, he was sent with Halima sa idea, his mother, to the
manuside, where he gained the eloquence and strength. You know,
not only the eloquence, but also the strength. Being outside in the
outskirts. He used to graze and walk with with the cattle Masha
Allah. And you know, look after the cattle, being a shepherd,
learning how he should practice patience and perseverance in
mashallah, that is what we need to today's children. You can say it
in Afrikaans Subhanallah, they don't want to suffer. They want
things. They want it. Now we should all strive to take to teach
our kids the language of the Quran and take care of their physicality
as well, inshallah. And then number three would be having a
pure heart. You know, as we we've learned that Jibreel washed the
Prophet saws heart in a vessel of gold and was filled with ZamZam,
and then he put it back to together and returned it to its
place. So what we can learn from this, we should, we should perfect
our children's faith by letting them emulate the Prophet, his pure
character. Inshallah, teach them about Muhammad SAW and whosoever
Allah Subhanallah says, Allah will wills to guide, he opens his heart
to Islam. And this is what we need to achieve. InshaAllah, teach our
children the character of the prophet and Allah subhanho wa
Taala laws. And this.
Allah, open up for them. And number four, staying active. Sport
is essential. Our children must have extra Bureau activities.
Don't say, No, you must only bash a Quran whole day. You know, as
nice as it sound, it is not practical. The Prophet, also, he
was active, mashaAllah, so sport is essential for our children's
development. The Prophet Muhammad SAW practiced what archery,
running and horseback, horseback riding, masha Allah, so you saw
assalam. He says in Hadith, comes in tirmili that he's a prophet has
told us to practice archery and horseback riding, masha Allah And
number five, keeping ties of kinship. When the Prophet Muhammad
SAW was about six years old, his mother, Amina radhana, she was
she, she, she took ill, and she took him with her to Madina, to
Manoa, to visit his maternal uncles on the way she passed on in
abua. So teach your kids the importance of family from a young
age. Why? Because, what happened when the Prophet visit his mother?
You know, he sat at the cover that he cried so profusely what
happened that everybody surround him started feels feel sad, and
they started to cry as well. So it shows the importance of family.
Masha Allah, Let us teach our kids that. And number six, the
importance of mothers. The Prophet, he wept when he was at
his mother's grave, as we've mentioned now. So teach your kids
to love their mothers like our Prophet loved his mother. That is
very important. Do they love their mothers? Once that connection is
right, every other connection from there will be pure, because the
mother will only teach goodness to the children. Inshallah and the
last one, the reliance on Allah, subhana wa Taala alone, despite
being an orphan and losing his grandfather at a young age, the
prophet lived to be the greatest of mankind, right? Subhanallah, so
this is for us to take. Listen. Our children should believe that
Allah is the most merciful and loving. Don't teach them in Allah.
How did we learn as children, punish Allah is going to punish
you if you fall. See there, Allah punished you. That is how we grew
up. Subhanallah, everything was Allah punished you. Don't let us
not do that. Today, our children should believe that Allah is the
most merciful and loving towards them, and that they can rely on
him alone for all baptism Inshallah, So may the peace and
the blessings of Allah be upon the Prophet Muhammad, saw the best of
best of creation these seven points, if you can bring it in our
lives truly, it will make a difference in sha Allah. And look
at this childhood of the Prophet, and look at your children today
and see how we can make a difference through our children as
these great individuals of the past has made a difference. And
look at the way the Prophet ended up. We today are his followers,
and we say, La Ilaha, illAllah Muhammad Rasulullah. Bless you
all. InshaAllah,
assalamualai. Now I assume that was definitely very a fun filled
