Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah, enough. Madhu, Muhammad Adi, one
of minubi, he wanted to walk Calvary.
Wanabi, who has
been accepted. They are the journey of Hajj Wallah, if your
intention was at the age of 10 or 12 years over 16, we knew
Alhamdulillah, Allah afforded you that ability to make that media,
and that is the time that your Hajj started.
And I always there is the point, even in my through, through my
classes of Hajj, I mentioned to those who come that this is not
the start of Hajj. This is the period of Hajj that we understand.
The period of Hajj is present now we are in dulqada. Anybody knows
what? What? What is the most important thing that we should
remind ourselves about dur so nice is that rasulsa performed four
Kumaras in his life,
and all these ummah will perform in duljit
only, the
one, obviously, that he performed with his Hajj that was outside of
the month of dulqar there, but all the umrahs that Rasul has
performed was in Bucharest.
And this is amazing. This is something that we should try to
incline to, that if we're making tension,
may Allah subhanahu wa told us that we can also perform our Ummah
at the time when our sunallahu.
There's one thing that we always try to do, and that is to emulate
USRA to Hassan, is to do what I love is done at the time that he
has done it, how he has done in Subhanallah, how He has guided us
to do this. But our focus today is our journey on Hajj,
that journey we undertake and we start to undertake when we make
media, because the person who makes intention for hajj, he wants
to change his life. And what is Hajj? It's a life changing
opportunity.
Allah subhanahu wa Alam, Nasi, head, Jul beiti, manis, Tata,
Ilahi, sabila, we understand it that Hajin, it's only incumbent
upon you, if you are able to do so,
to go into the part of Allah, Subhanahu wa Taala on this
beautiful journey. And that moment that you took you took that
intention, that is when your whole life changed. It is a life
changing experience. I remember SubhanAllah. I was very young when
I made me a for Hajj, although I knew it's going to be a long
journey. MashaAllah, Allah subhanahu wa Subhana wa Taala
fought some, not so much, and Allah subhanho wa Taala qads
Absolutely nothing. But the experience that that I've
experienced, even through my own family,
it reminded me of Allah subhanahu
wa acceptance. Because most of the time when I looked at the people
who accepted for Hajj, they were
people that had absolutely nothing.
This is where I grew up. Many others went, Alhamdulillah, those
who had and those who had much, Alhamdulillah, Allah afforded
them, but Allah afford us all to go. I mean, I mean, I mean, that's
very important. But when I looked at, for example, I had mashallah,
my close friend here. We grew up together, if you asked that, I had
a great granny, and the only thing that she did, she baked cake, and
she made good sisters for the Sunday,
you know. And she, she, she informed us that her husband died
at a very young age. He was 23 years old, and she was younger
than that, and at that time, she had to look already after her
mother.
Her father passed away already a grandmother and a grandfather.
Achi. You know, this was our parents. They had to give up
education. Why? Because we need to do something to look after our
parents, and they've done that without question.
They literally slave themselves for their parents. They don't care
what they do to themselves, as long as mommy and Daddys are as
long as AMI, we say Abba or BIA, they used to say beer, as long as.
Mommy is right, and Umi is right. Alhamdulillah, Rabbi, I mean, that
was their life.
And we grew up in that, you know, situation whereby Subhanallah, if
I must, I won't be able to speak about my life. No Subhanallah, but
we were practically four families that live under one roof. That's
how I grew up. Alhamdulillah, four families than the one. Now you can
imagine that's That's madness.
Everybody's mother, father and children. They have a certain
section of the house and another family. Mother, father and
children. Mother, father and children. And then also my great
grand used to look after her sister's sister's children as
well, which is a brother and a sister.
A jeep. It was to us a strange way that we grew up, but the amount of
respect that we have learned, it's amazing. And you know what was one
of the conditions in our household in Hajj classes you need to
attend.
I don't know if you look at me, I'm still looking I'm looking 16
now I can you imagine
I'm 16? Now imagine almost 40 years ago,
how young I was,
and that time you had to, you know, sit in the classes of your
elders, and you had to go and attend marriage classes.
You sit there, you love
saying, you know, we are so young, but what happened was that the
seed was planted,
a seed of the importance of Sharia, the importance of Islam.
You know, SubhanAllah. We had teachers that they wanted ulama.
They wanted ulama. They wanted an Ali muddien, but there were people
who had Taqwa. There were people whose condition was that you need
to know your Islam.
You know, we had teachers that taught us Ali Bata today. They are
no longer but may Allah grant in the highest stages in Jannah,
because without them, we would not have been able to recite the
Quran. And that's why we should not forget them.
Alhamdulillah, many of our parents, they maybe, had not the
ability to teach us the Quran. But one thing that they do, they made
us a way of Deen that you will go to madrasa, you will attend the
deacon, you will go to massage. You know, it is imperative for you
to be in it, Thursday night, Sundays, you have to be in the
hijab all these things. What did he do? It molded our
personalities, and today, we are people that are conscious of
Allah. And what is the challenge today? Remember, our challenge
today is our youth.
Our challenge today is our children,
the challenges that they are facing now. What happened to us?
Our journey of Hajj started when we were as young as seven, 819,
years old,
and if you look at if a Hajj class is happening today, it's almost
like the Hajj class is only for the people that's leaving
for Hajj Asajj.
It's strange. How come we don't plant the seeds that our elders
has planted in the hearts of our children?
They should have that Rabbah and that desire. I'm hearing about
Makkah. I'm hearing about Medina and listening to Sheik speaking
about Rasulullah, visiting him is maqam. You know, why come? Why is
it only we are shedding tears as elders? How come our children
don't have a desire to shed a tear for Rasulullah?
How come their heart is not connected to him? SallAllahu,
alayhi wa sallam, because of the lack of this, the lack of us
taking our children by the hand and going to class with him,
this is an amazing
thought to think about.
Hajj is not only the period of Hajj, Hajji is for each and every
one of us to have an intention to go for Hajj.
If we did not make intention, yet make an intention. Now even our
young ones make an intention that you want to go to Makkah and you
want to go to Madina, anyone to go and visit Al Aqsa. Don't forget Al
Aqsa, Al Mubarak,
because this is part of a believer. It's part of you, of
being human to us.
We want to go. We want to fulfill that duty. And if you look at the
structure of Hajj, you know mashaAllah, amazingly, if you look
at the structure of Hajj, Hajj has got imam in it to believe in La
Ilaha, illallah, Muhammad, Abu Asmaa, Hajj. Have sadaqah in it.
You need to give sadaqah Hajj have, if certain things happen,
right, then what happened? You need to fast so all the pillars of
Islam you will find in the ritual of Hayes,
amazing
Salah must be everything you will find, whether it is zakat, whether
it is sadaqah, whether it is fasting, whether it is having
Iman, all the arkhans of his.
Time you'll find in Hajj. And that is why, what is Hajj is a life
changing experience,
because all of those are kinds you performed in how you perform it at
that time is totally different.
You've made Salah throughout your entire life,
but making Surah unto the karma is something different.
Making Salah in a direction, Alhamdulillah, we understand the
direction, but seeing the character.
For those who have been there online, they were able to tell
you,
just making salah, and you see that karaba, your tears start
four.
You will tell yourself,
20 years, for 30 years, for 40 years, some 70 years, I've been
yearning to stand in front of you. I've been making Sara in the
direction of the Kerala. But today I see the Kaba.
That's another feeling.
Loving Rasulullah sounds throughout your life. You hear
about his stories. You emulate him. You made an you do the Siwa.
You know you are good to your spouse. You try all this. And you
hear that I must follow Rasulullah everything. And now you say
assalamu, alaikka,
Ya Rasulullah,
Ya salam. You're saying it now. You're standing there. You see,
and you know that hadith Rasul, and he says that if somebody sends
sanitation and salaam upon me, Allah, return my rule into myself,
into my body, and I am the one who respond, what the feeling, how you
feel when you know you might not see him, Allah, but you know with
certainty that I say assalamu alaikum, and his response.
Responding to you now,
what the feeling that is? That's why I say Hajj is just not the
ritual. It's not something you just do. It is a build up of
emotion. It's a build up. You know, you build up so much,
because when you stand there, you understand that this is the NABI
that I love. This is the NABI that I follow. This is the NABI that
says hayati that
my life is good for you and my closing of my eyes is good for
you.
I'm responding to you. Oh, my, my, you know my follower, sallAllahu,
you will only understand how much you're loving at that moment,
sallAllahu, alayhi said, standing in front of the Kaba worshiping
for years now, saying, Allah,
Yes,
nothing can enter your heart at that moment. It is only you in
Allah.
And where did this start? It couldn't have started only the
period of Harish
that love couldn't have developed only over a period of time. It had
to develop since the moment that you felt the desire to for Allah
to accept you to undertake this holy journey,
what the feeling that is Subhanallah, and you know what?
What is the outcome of Hajj?
I know myself. I know what I have done throughout my life. I know I
was a bad person. I know I have done so much wrong. I know I
violated the Lord Allah so many times, but when this acceptance of
Allah comes that I'm going on hype this one, one thing that never
slips the mind, that this is that one opportunity that I have with
Allah will forgive all my sins.
Imagine that there's like a guarantee nobody go for Hajj
saying, Oh, I wonder if Allah is going to forgive me. Oh, I just
wonder. Nobody goes with an attitude like that. Al Haj,
everybody goes, and that is why it's such an emotional journey.
Everybody goes knowing that I'm going now Allah told me I'm going
to be free of awesome ajim, this is amazing. Nobody's going to go
there and say, I wonder if Allah ate
this. Kaomi, what
is like the day your mother gave birth to you? We understand that
that journey is so important, and that is why I'm structured. My
mind is set. I need to do things properly.
I need to be of those. Murasu Allah salah, he mentions that
the one that Allah subhanahu wa will forgive, like the day that
his mother gave birth, is the one that will not be indulging in
trouble. The stalk in your Hajj, you don't do that. The strangest
thing is, you cut yourself off from the entire world. You know
you can travel many places. You remember your children, you
remember your business. You remember your mother, your father,
your phone, but on high,
I don't know what have you, but you don't worry about your
children.
You don't worry about your mother and your father. You don't worry.
But whoever is under you, you know your key. The only thing that you
worry about is you and Allah,
you've got you're on a mission. I need to be of those.
It's not you. It's no
ill feelings. There's nothing, no wrong thoughts. Everything that we
do is only for Allah. We say we increase
in what time I need to increase now. I need
to be so conscious of Allah. And that is our journey. And you know
what Hajj is that teach us what life is about Hajj. Teach, because
if you see people coming back from from Hajj, you can see the
difference.
People come back from HUD. You see the difference. This guy might
have been a guy you know, used to crack jokes so many times. You
know, used to laugh. You seek for you. The guy come back is pious.
This guy jokes. He look
at
you now, admit it's today. We don't see the recofina. We must
look, you know, it's a spiritual coffee, and it's a bit there is
now in the past, people came back. You could see who was the *,
who was the suit, mashaAllah had a nice red we call it the Bucha in
Cape Town. Bud Haki, I don't know if you know the buchakis at
mashaAllah.
So when people had that, you understood that this was a man
that came from Hajj, and people would honor
him. The hajars, you know, in the past, they were other people,
you know, mashaAllah, the only person who can bring the Imam into
the masjid and read his book,
is a *. He's
the only one that can stand by the door and take the Imam, and he
takes the Tonga Masha Allah. Then you say, he's the one that says,
you
know, the beautiful culture of ketam, but that must be a *.
Cannot be anyone. Today is different.
But that time it was like, you know, you must do it like that.
There was structure. We understood the importance of ahaji.
The whole judge had a certain place that they used to sit in
front
today we see that you sit in front of us. Why? Alhamdulillah for that
today, we have many Sharif in the past, we didn't have so much. We
had the Imam and then we had the whole judge. They were special
people.
Why is it like that? Because we honor and give reverence to those
people. They were the ones that Allah accepted. They were the ones
who changed their lives. May Allah grant us to stay in this
Manhattan. Because sometimes we go for Hajj, we come back, nothing
changed. And that is a big problem. That is a sign of Allah,
Subhanahu, not accepting our Hajj.
And may Allah protect us from that. There must be a change in a
person's life, subhanAllah, and that is why, today I mentioned
this. This is part of the journey of Hajj, your personality, the way
that you conduct yourselves, from the time that you made the
intention. You cannot make an intention for Hajj, and you just
carry on with haram.
It's like, what are we trying? You know, the moment you make
intention for Hajj, there's a mission. I need to get forgiven. I
need to reach Allah subhanahu. I need to be standing on and crying
to Allah subhanahu for forgiveness. I need to be on Mina.
I need to be that one that sacrifice
now that talks about inshaAllah through the days that comes. Now
we have the period of Hajj. We will speak about this inshaAllah,
the 10 most important days is ahead of us. Bud *, yes, salam,
they are focused on one thing for us. Allah gives us what Lean ash.
Allah give us 10 days, the most important 10 days of the year.
Allah gives us that we can move in sink with a huj. We can also be of
those who can be free from Paul sin and one of the most amazing
things, I just want to give you a little bit of taste of what it is
about Laylatul Qadr is the greatest night of the year for a
believer. Is it true? Yes, there's no greater night than Laylatul
Qadr for the entire year. But Allah says this 10 days,
you know what you can get
is every night.
So 83 years of forgiveness, 83 years of worship. It what you get
on the night of qadda. The opportunity arise now for every
day of the 10 days, the first 10 days of the Hijjah, you get a
night, which is equivalent to a day that will other
who can give this only your Lord and my Lord, Allah. Allah gives us
so much opportunity we just came from Ramadan. Allah forgave us
and.
Mean. And then after Allah saying, just for us for six more days,
I'll give you the fasting of an entire year.
Ya salaam, Allah mashaAllah, for those of us who done it,
Alhamdulillah, an entire year Allah subhanahu has given you now
Luqa ADA came is the period of Hajj. We're walking on 10 night.
What do you call it? On exhales, because we don't want to commit
sin. This is beautiful times ahead. Now Allah said, Okay, you
do that, and you do 10 important days, the most important days of
the year. You know what you can get every night, a little so
this is what Allah gives only to the believer.
Now for us, we're waiting tension. This is moments that you can
engage with Allah. Oh Allah, I understand the 10 days, but I want
to be standing in front of your way to Allah.
I want to be the present, because I'm saying the one that comes and
greets me
that my shafa becomes incumbent
upon him. Allah,
shafayama, we're going to need him from Rasul Asmaa. That is my
servant. He cannot go to * for you,
I am asking on his behalf, please send him to Jannah, who's asking
Allah's Beloved is asking, on behalf of you and I, how much do
you love Rasulullah? For him to do that he must love us a lot. He
doesn't want none of us to enter alpha.
You know what? That's only the believers I'm speaking about. He
doesn't want no non believer to enter.
Do we have that same concern? Yes.
How do we love our lives? * is a journey, a journey that we
emulate in Salallahu, alaihi, Salam we do, and we take the
guidance from Him, and we take the guidance from the Quran, and we
move with that. Hajj is a lifetime journey.
And mashaAllah, when we enter the period of Hajj,
then our time will be spent fruitful inshaAllah, understanding
that this is what I've worked for so hard, and that is a life of a
believer. We work hard for what for Allah's pleasure.
And may we do everything that we do for the sake of Allah and for
His pleasure, because the Day of Qiyamah, we're going to need that.
Ya, Allah, we did it for your pleasure, and today, what we want.
We want our nafs to be with my son
on that day when Allah says, return to Allah
subhanahu. WA in a state,
radiathan Malia, where you are pleased with Allah, and
Allah is pleased with us,
and Allah is pleased with us.
You know what Allah tell us?
Allah is not saying in the agent
or in the legend, listen to this, oh my servant, into what? Jannah?
D My Jannah. A Jannah I have prepared for you. No one else you
know. Your Allah prepared a Jannah for you.
Why are we holding on to the rope of dunya when your Allah prepared
a Jannah for you? A Jannah says no eye is
in the sea. I eye
has ever seen, no eye has ever seen,
no ear has ever heard
of and no mind and heart can perceive what it is about. It is
only enjoyment for you. Why are you holding on to this? What Allah
go? What
deception. Every day we are deceived by the beauty of this,
dunya. And then we think that we see dunya. We see beauty. Masha,
Allah, for our youth, you know, once you get married, I see that.
Yes,
that's there's nothing more beauty and pretty than that. Allah says
there's much more.
Although we know mashaAllah, we have beautiful women.
Alhamdulillah, otherwise you wouldn't have got married.
We have beautiful women. But Allah says there is more that's not
waiting for you. And what did Allah say about it? You won't
understand what I'm telling you, because a married man,
what is better than this, isn't it? Allah says, this much better.
You look at fruit, you eat it.
You eat that sweet grape. Allah says, Yes, I am this.
When it come a time when you're going to come in Jannah, your
first bite is going to remind you of this dunya. You're going to
say, No, this is a grape. Your second bite of that grape is
better than that than the first bite. He said, Oh, what happened
now
the third bite is that? Whoa.
What happened to the second bite? The fourth bite is like, whoa,
yes. And as much as you eat further than that, it becomes
better and better. Now tell me, everyone of us are sitting here.
Can we perceive that? How can things just get better? It must,
to us. There must be a limit. Allah said, there's no limits.
Things will just get better for you in Jannah, better for you in
Jannah, better for you in Jannah. Allah, the Allah grant us to be of
the inhabitants of Jannah.
May Allah grant us as we plan for this journey of Hajj, Allah must
be to make it to become a reality for us inshaAllah, but our entire
journey, that mission that you're on, may Allah afford us to to
reach that pinnacle point where it is that we are as the day that our
Mother has given birth to us, and Allah subhanahu wa mentions
that on that day, Allah subhanahu wa accept only certain people for
this place, which is whole jam
la man wala Banu, Illa man at Allah,
so let us purify this. This heart is of us. It holds so much of
importance. Why? Because, if this heart, Rasul says, No, speak about
it, Salah. Salah had just that, if that part is pure and in the right
state, right, that everything will go smooth.
And if it is corrupt, then everything in the entire body will
be corrupt, and your action actions will be corrupt. And what
is it, Allah here,
and also some said, What is that portion, that flesh? It is the
heart. Look after your hearts. Allah. Grant us ours that's
connected to Allah. Allah grant us heart and love Rasulullah. Grant
us ours is connected to the houses of Allah. Allah grant us ours that
yearn to fulfill only but the duties that Allah is instructed as
well. Allah grant us ours that will follow the Sunnah Tariqah.
Allah grant us to be of those who will be successful, am I? So
everybody that's here today make the journey of Hajj a beautiful
journey. And I'm not talking about the period of Hajj, I'm talking
about your journey that starts now. Even if we went, we say, I
want to go again. We
want to go over and over to those places. Why? Because we understand
that if we live there, we live pure and those people that are
there today may as Allah, to fulfill all their duties
Inshallah, and for them to return as the bee goes. And they sit onto
that flower. And it takes the Palan from there. And when he
moves all his little feet and everything they touch it, he goes
different places, and he plants it there, mashaAllah. And what do we
at the end? What's the end result? Sweetness, halal ani that we will
be able to enjoy. So this is what they will be. They are from the
four corners of the world. When they come back, all that they will
do is spread the noon everything that touch their bodies, that will
be the noon that they bring back from this holy lands, and spread
it throughout the four corners of the world. InshaAllah, may Allah
accept them, and may Allah one and some water. You.
