Alright, what kind of tongue is the tongue? What kind of type of
tongues are the tongues that are troublesome? Well, the first is
the lying tongue,
the tongue that lies with ease.
Subhanallah Abu Huraira, who tells us that there are three signs of a
hypocrite,
and one of those signs either had, if he speaks he lies,
the sign of hypocrisy.
So what kind of lies might come out of our mouths?
They might be lies we tell out of fear we don't want to be found out
for what's really, really doing.
They might be a lie that comes out because we're in the habit of
lying. We're not in the habit of truth telling.
Might be a lie that comes out as a joke.
It might be just a flat out lie.
And I think it's difficult to face ourselves in this thing might be
an exaggeration.
Where you you're not intending to lie, but you end up exaggerate.
You exaggerate so often that it's almost as though lying is
happening. So we
have to ask ourselves, What am I afraid of? Because very often, one
of the reasons we Subhanallah on this religion, it's just so much,
one of the reasons we often do things that are wrong is out of
fear.
Like we lie because we're afraid of someone's reaction,
or we lie because we're afraid of conflict, or we lie because we're
afraid of our image,
and yet, if we know the reality of what lying does, we will be afraid
of the lie instead of afraid of the result of of what we of the
truth. And so we want to think about that. We want to make sure
that we we fear being a person who is a liar more than we fear the
results of the truth and hold on
to that truth. Now, if we see ourselves in the past having been
people of lies or people who lie or having exaggeration or all of
this, what can we do to fix it?
Well, one thing is use we'll call it the Dhikr Allah soap,
the law soap,
to wash away stuff for Allah sak, for Allah sakula, to wash away
what was there.
And instead of a lie in the future, to truth, to choose truth
to just make sure we're choosing truth or silence. It's okay to
choose silence.
It's okay to choose silence. There is a strength in silence.
