AI: Summary ©
Just one second, everybody. I'm trying to
get everything going here.
For some reason,
this is not working correctly. So let me
try one more time.
Okay. I think that should work.
There's something wrong with this
connection, so let me try one more time.
Sorry.
We're gonna start soon.
That was really strange. Something is
not working here correctly. So
just
I appreciate that love they show on the
gram.
The gram for Cairo and Am, Insha'Allah.
It's great to see everybody.
I appreciate everybody's duas. As you know, some
of my
family members have been
impacted with COVID 19.
But Allah
is,
so Kareem and so merciful.
I actually tested
negative yesterday.
But,
some people very close to me,
have tested positive. My my blessed mother-in-law and
her mother.
And my wife will get tested tomorrow but
we're all kind of separated.
And the baby. People asking is good.
Please
keep us in your duas and always remember
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is so merciful. Alhamdulillah.
And so kind. Alhamdulillah.
So
every Friday night
consistency is a very important thing.
So I thought tonight we'll keep it a
little shorter.
Just gonna read a little bit from the
book that we've been studying.
I'm actually looking for some volunteers to help
me if you're interested.
First of all, I need some people to
help me actually transcribe
the Instagram
and TikTok q and a's.
And I'm looking for 3 or 4 people
who can help do that. We will make
a group together, and then we'll meet, like,
once every 2 weeks.
I'll meet with you, the group, and we'll
go through and transcribe those for people because
a lot of people are asking for the
actual transcripts
of those questions and answer sessions. And then
in a few weeks, inshallah,
we're gonna have another one,
again. So if you're interested in volunteering,
and you have a good skill set, right,
don't don't don't get involved if you if
you don't have the medal and I say
that respectfully
because then it ends up becoming you know,
become frustrating for you and me. But if
you're if you're good at that, if you're
good at transcribing, good at editing,
good with with the pen as they say,
I'm looking for, like, 4 people. We will
create a small group and we will go
through and begin to sift through
the q and a that's
up, the highlights on Instagram,
as well as the q and a that's
done on TikTok and then transcribe those for
people.
And, eventually, one day we can publish them,
right, as the
Instafatw inshallah. So if you're interested in volunteering,
to do that,
you can
email me at swiss. If somebody can type
it in the comments box, you don't have
to be in America.
Right? [email protected].
So we're looking for, like, 4 people,
to help with that. The other thing is
I'm looking for a group of people who
wanna help collect all the notes
from this class. So that could be another
4 people who we would go back and,
again, we would meet, like, every 2 weeks.
You don't have to be the super religious
person. You know what I mean? Don't
not I'm not worried about that. You know?
If you if you have that passion and
that talent and it's something that you can
consistently do,
feel free. Thank you,
Assia for for for helping me out. And
Assia, for you helping me out, please send
me an email. I'm gonna give you a
lifetime scholarship to Swiss, man. I really appreciate
that, bro.
And,
I'm a take care of you.
So if you can,
also, if you're interested in helping transcribe this
lesson
and going through the translation of the hadith
and the notes,
I'm looking for also 4 people. And, also,
that's a chance for us to study together.
Right? So you won't only be, like, going
through things, but then I'll meet with you
if you have questions. Right? It's an opportunity
for me to increase
my learning and for you to increase your
learning.
Inshallah.
So
we were reading from last time the hadith
of
the chapter that we're on is still the
chapter of revelation in the book. Right?
That when revelation would descend to the prophet
you would hear like the buzzing of bees
coming close
from the direction of the Prophet
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
So now we're going to talk about the
10
or the the the verses, excuse me, that
will take you to Jannah, by the way.
One day revelation was sent to him
and we we waited patiently and silently.
And then when it when it stopped,
when revelation stopped and here, I talked about
this last week. We see the discipline of
the Sahaba
and the character of the Sahaba
that this is happening now in Medina.
They're not quite as,
you know, they're not as,
as,
you know. So I see my my peeps
at NYU MSA.
If you want to jump in on this
livestream,
send me a request, and you can jump
on and just talk to the people.
Right? And then you can also I'll pin
this, but my peeps at MSA, when you're
ready,
you can just send me an invite.
NYU MSA,
and I'm gonna
immediately
invite you on and you can talk to
the people about Charity Week. Alhamdulillah. And it
will be seen here in Facebook so you're
looking at almost close to a 1000000 people.
SubhanAllah. So NYU MSA waiting on you to
send me an invite
to this live stream. Insha'Allah Ta'ala. And,
Insha'Allah from there, we're gonna hear what you
have to say.
Oh, hello, Abdul Malik. Masha Allah.
The topic tonight is the same topic every
week that we're going through this important book
on the foundations of Islam
and talking about revelation. And tonight, I'm glad
you asked this question.
L'olanch, this this this topic is about the
qualities of the people of Jannah.
Allahu Akbar, you got lucky tonight if you
walked into, you know what I'm saying?
So,
say that
he he said that we heard
the buzzing sound of bees buzzing when revelation
would descend to the prophet
So
and one day we noticed that revelation was
sent to him
And we stay and we waited
until
it left till it stopped.
The prophet
here what I was seeing is look at
the discipline of the Sahaba.
And you notice something when you study Hadith
in Mecca. You find sometimes the Sahaba that
are kinda wild. Right? They're still coming into
the deen. They're still growing and developing.
And then in Medina,
you find that there they have discipline.
Like, they have discipline. So, when the prophet's
talking, they're not asking a 1,000 questions. They're
listening and then when he finishes, they ask
questions. When revelation comes to him, they don't
they don't get all excited in Medina. They're
just like this.
So, we see something very beautiful. The transformation
of
the Sahaba.
Subhanallah, the transformation
of the companions of the prophet
We're gonna bring on quickly,
some of my favorite students
from NYU,
MSA who are doing charity week.
Can you hear me? Yes.
How are you, Sheikh Dave? It's good. Missing
you guys.
For those of you who don't know me,
I'm Asma. I'm the treasurer of Amway Abbasi.
It has been a long time since I've
seen Shakes the in person, but it's nice
to
see
you. Nice to see you as well. How's
it going?
Just taking my classes remotely,
upstate New York. So
Yeah. Asma is one of one of the
gems of students that we have at NYU,
Alhamdulillah, New York University.
I'm lucky to have taught her,
Alhamdulillah, and to have learned from her. So
what do you got for us tonight? Tell
us about Charity Week.
Yeah. Sure. I'm so sorry to, like, interrupt
what you're talking about before, but Of course
not. Charity Week is,
a week in October
from all over the world,
get together to raise money for orphans and
children across the world.
NYU has been participating for a few years
now.
And today is the very, very last day
to donate to our launch code. And we're
so so close to $20,000
on our launch code just for NYU MSA.
And, we are raising money for orphans in
Palestine,
orphans in Jordan,
children in Nigeria, Afghanistan,
providing them education as well as surgeries,
that they need. It's just like a very
beautiful holistic program
through Islamic Relief, and, you can look at
our launch code for more details in our
bio, m y m s a. And there's
20 minutes to donate, and it is obviously
the beautiful day of Jomah, which is almost
over. So I really encourage you all,
to donate if you can or just share
it with friends and family.
But,
with this year, like with COVID, these countries
and these children are suffering even more. Like,
children are already a vulnerable population, but now
with this pandemic,
these children are often neglected, especially if they
don't have parents or they have parents that
can't support them. So I think it's this
is just a really important
cause. And thank you so much, Txay, for
giving me the platform to speak about it.
And, please check out the link in our
bio. Like I said, the launch could close
in 20 minutes, and we're very, very close
to 20 ks. So I would love it
if you could share or donate. It means
the world to me. So thank you so
much. Thank you, Asma.
So everyone can go to the NYU MSA
Instagram page. I'm sure if you look at
their profile, the link is there. You can
click on the link. Inshallah.
And may Allah bless you and increase you
all in the great work that you do,
and I hope to see you guys on
campus,
sooner than later, Inshallah.
Inshallah. Inshallah. Ameen. Thank you so much.
Of course. Anytime. No problem.
Alright.
And,
again, this is a book that's teaching us
very, very important foundations.
I can't emphasize how important it is. If
you have questions, it's awesome. But, like, hold
your questions till the end of the. Right?
I'm not gonna be able to stop the
and answer questions. Right? And that gets to
the point that we're talking about on this
important hadith of saying now I'm a the
need for a disciplined community.
And
we have the greatest community in the world.
We have the greatest kalima.
We have the greatest book, the Quran. We
have the greatest prophet
So, we just need to do better. Right?
All's we gotta do is take a few
steps
and you know
this is a beautiful.
You know, no no one is like the
Muslims.
So this hadith of saying
that when revelation will be sent to the
prophet, you would hear like the sound of
bees buzzing.
And one day revelation came to him
and we set for a little bit
and then suddenly
it
stopped. And that was the point that I
was making. When you study hadith, you see
something very beautiful. And that is that in
Mecca, the prophets, they don't, excuse me, the
Sahaba, they don't have the refined attitudes and
character that you see later in Medina.
So in Medina, you see that they have
this discipline.
And somehow they have this beauty. And the
in a NYU MSA is saying, thank you
guys. I just hit $20,000,
man.
Man.
Brothers and sisters, every Friday night is really
great to see how they help out. So
every Friday night to frame this for you,
we read this book. This book is teaching
us what's called.
This book is the summary of a summary
of one of the most important books written
in foundations,
in foundational hadith by a great scholar even
Athir.
And then it was summarized by a Zabidi,
a great scholar called Taysir Usu,
and now Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Duras, doctor Mohammed
Abdullah Duras
from Al Azhar, he put it into one
volume. And as I started the,
I'm looking for 8 volunteers.
Right? Four volunteers that can help me transcribe
all the questions and the highlights on Instagram
and on TikTok, and we would meet every
2 weeks.
And you'll have an opportunity to to to
learn and to engage and to teach. So
you can email me at swiss@swahebwebdot
you know, and I'm not looking for someone
that doesn't have skills. Right? You you gotta
make sure that you have skills, like, in
this field, Not in the sense of knowing
Arabic and that, but having some skills and
language. Right? So passion isn't enough, but I'm
looking for 8 people.
So so we we set for a while,
and then it stopped.
For stop.
And the prophet suddenly he turned to the
and he raised his hands and dua And
last week, I went through those hadith that
if someone were to read them,
they would conclude that it is not a
to raise your hands in Dua. And we
went through the hadith of
and I went through the principles of
for interpreting these kind of when you have
these different kind of hadith.
And then the prophet made this dua. And
this is the the dua that we were
gonna learn this week. But unfortunately
Allah so merciful.
My family was afflicted with COVID since a
week ago.
As I said my test
came back negative but I'm more worried about
you know my beautiful wife, my best friend
in the world, man.
And my daughter
make dua for them.
She's gonna be tested this this this weekend
and then my mother-in-law who is
an incredible person, always in Dhikr.
She tested positive.
Her mother tested positive.
Another family tested positive, and we're like super
careful, man. We're in a social bubble, but
Allah is so merciful.
No complaints.
Allah
is so
clean. So here's this dua that we want
to learn. Like you should learn this dua
man. I'm happy to teach it to you.
And once inshallah, the COVID thing has passed.
I'm gonna do this as a story for
the week and teach it here and then
we're gonna do a special q and a
on what happens after death and so on
and so forth. As I promised you, so
forgive me. What's this dua that we wanna
learn that we explained it last week? The
prophet
Allah said, oh, Allah increase us and don't
decrease us. And as I explained last week,
the word increase needs an object but there's
no object here to show that the object
is so amazing. You don't wanna you don't
wanna say it.
So it's Allah. You Allah
what what a
what a beautiful
deen, man.
Like, do you realize how lucky you are
to say that?
That you should never forget that. I should
never forget that.
The prophet
he said
whoever says
sincerely from their heart.
The hellfire has been made haram for that
person.
The Hadith is related by Sayedna Imam Muslim.
And the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallamah
when he said this in a different narration,
he said, what if
the person made Zena?
He
said
even if the person made Zena.
How many people maybe tonight? They fell into
Zena you know? And they feel like their
heart is broken. They feel like Allah will
never forgive them. They feel like there's no
door
to have a relationship with Allah.
So look at Abu Bakr, what in Zena,
even if the person
made fornication,
the Prophet said, even if they fornicate, they'll
go to Jannah.
If they said La Illaha Illallah with Ikhla
sincerely.
Then he said, what in sariqa?
What if they stole something?
The prophet said, even if they stole something.
So
when the prophet
said to say in the Mu'adh, whoever
worships Allah alone
and doesn't commit
shirk
Allah will never punish those people.
Allahu Akbar.
So you you have to really feel lucky
man to be emancipated from all the idolatry.
All of the nonsense.
And now we just have to do a
little work, you know, just little, a little
work in improving ourselves.
So the prophet said Allah
oh Allah increase us. Increase us in knowledge.
And don't decrease us in knowledge. This is
your man. When they're trying to bad mouth
you, when they're trying to say things about
us, when they're trying to make us look
like we're backwards,
we're this, we're this, our brothers and sisters
now in in Austria, they're going through a
lot, man. Pay attention to what's happening in
Austria.
They're getting pounded over there. They're raiding the
massages. They're arresting innocent people who have nothing
to do with all that that craziness. In
France,
in
a Muslim world,
this is this is our beloved prophet.
This is
our
and honor us
and don't shame
us. 1 of the he said
honor us with taqwa because we know Allah
says that taqwa of course meaning piety
that the most honored people are the people
of piety.
And do not shame us by letting us
fall into evil.
And give us reward.
And don't keep us away from rewards.
And and prefer us and don't give anyone
else the bounties. And
give us
the word
is not easy to translate, man.
It's translated as being kind of content
and happy,
but the best kind of way I can
explain it is if you're, like, at a
table
and, you know, you have your favorite food
and no matter what's on the table, you
always choose your favorite food.
That's for Allah.
So, on the table of life,
you have the haram,
you have this,
you have all this evil,
but you have rillah with Allah.
So no
matter the offerings placed in front of you,
you're always
free to Allah.
You have rida with Allah.
That's the meaning. One of my teachers he
was blind,
Sheikh Al Asari he used to say
He used to say that the contentment
and happiness
a believer has with Allah
in this dunya is a taste of Jannah.
And Riba is the essence of Tawhid.
Tawhid, it's not about just worshiping Allah when
everything is going great.
It's about worshiping Allah in all situations.
Whatever is on the table,
And that's not easy, man. That's not easy.
Why would Allah
you know, in some narrations,
they said
that he said to say Musa in
That my happiness with you
is your happiness with me.
All my teachers used to say either
If if you if you want to know
if Allah is pleased with you,
then ask yourself,
are you pleased with Allah?
And being pleased with Allah
means to make the right choices.
I can't be smoking weed
and saying I'm pleased with Allah.
I can't be like on dating apps
or whatever
doing evil, not doing good is different.
Doing good is doing good.
I can't be robbing people in my business
and say that I have with Allah.
That's not
that's
So, in this beautiful Dua,
Allah.
And then after this
Sayna Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
He he turned to them
and he said,
He said,
10 verses just came to me. Man, can
you imagine? Like, can you imagine beating Satan
Aisha?
And the prophet is telling
you these 10 verses just came?
Can you imagine being like Musaaba Yvon Omer,
like a young a young teenager boy
and a prophet's
like 10 verses just came.
If you wanna know the love of the
Sahaba for the Quran,
study
the and how they would react
when the Quran was sent.
They would run around and tell like now
how people talking about PS 5?
You know like nothing wrong with PS 5
but I'm saying like you know people got
that excitement for PS 5.
That's like the impact socially the Quran was
having on the Sahaba like
you know, did you did you hear the
new verses? Wow. There's new verses.
Like, that was the love
They had for the Quran.
That's why Umm Aiman.
Sayna Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Salam he used
to visit Umm Aiman every Friday.
Now we have people that won't even give
salaam to sisters.
In the name of Deen. In the name
of Deen, I ain't giving no salaam to
sister. You know why? Because you can't control
yourself. Don't blame her because you can't control
yourself.
Punish yourself. They'll punish the system.
Well, you know, I'm not going to respond
to this salaam because
it means I'm a bad person. No, it
doesn't.
Our prophet used to visit a old woman
every Friday, man.
Amen.
After the prophet
he
passed away
that used to visit her.
Every Friday.
You know to be like Muhammad
Where is that sunnah?
To visit the aunties in the community,
to visit the Chachi,
to visit the old people.
That's a sunnah.
My my wife's grandmother, she's 90 years old,
90 years old.
I have never seen her except she has
a in her hand.
Subhan Allah.
I have never seen her except
she's in a state of
Allahu Akbar. It's a lot of good things
those old people can teach us.
Because we're too blinded by the dunya.
And sometimes old people, they teach you how
to look for the if
youth is blind by blinded by the dunya,
then all the age is often blinded by
the that's
why
he said it's best if your child is
raised with
the parents and the grandparents.
And somebody asked him why.
He said the fruit of an extended family
is that your parents teach you how to
live for dunya.
And your grandparents teach you how to live
for
mother and father, they're gonna teach them how
to, you know, go to college,
get married, I'm saying go to school, get
some money, get a little Bitcoin.
But the grandmother and the grandfather, they're gonna
teach them how to die,
how to die right.
SubhanAllah.
The Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Salamah used
to visit Ummayna.
And I encourage you man on this whole
internet,
all this stuff, the Muslims fighting and all
this Man, stay away from that stuff.
Stay away from anything that's going to get
you caught up in fitna. Just focus on
Quran and Sunnah.
And and being around the and being with
the
and being with people that wanna make you
love Allah and make you wanna help people.
Don't get caught up in the Muslim TMZ
stuff, man. This stuff's a waste of time.
It ain't taking anybody anywhere.
American Muslims, we've been good at that for
the last 10 years. We destroyed each other.
Look how much we destroyed each other. Just
fighting all the time. Fight. Fight. Fight. Every
day. Every week is like TMZ.
Take the people to the sunnah
and not the sunnah of, you know, how
long is this and should you wear this?
That's that's good, but not to the point
that we divide over it. Where is the
sunnah of institutional utilizing,
looking after old people in our community that
we see every Friday,
the prophet
would visit
Umaimin.
Nah, bro. I wanna know what your
is, Aki. What med hub are you on?
What's the for this? What's the for that?
We're trying to create
effective change in people's lives, and we wanna
sit around and argue about Popeye's chicken versus
KFC.
You know what I'm saying? Just do chicken
tikka, bro. You good.
So
Ayman,
when Abu Bakr and Omar came to her,
she was crying.
Because when she saw them, she started crying.
And then they said to her,
why are you crying?
Don't you know that what Allah
has given Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
is better?
She said, I'm not crying
because of that.
I'm crying because the Quran stopped.
I'm crying because there's no more there's no
more
I'm
I'm crying because the the Quran is no
longer coming down to us.
We miss a lot of things.
When was the last time we missed the
Quran?
My Sheikh,
my first teacher,
Sheikh Ahmedia from synagogue.
He told me that there was a time
in his life
where he didn't have electricity in his house
and he will go and review the Quran
under the street lights.
That's how much he loves the Quran.
Now, we got Alexa. You know what I'm
saying? Alexa, turn on my lights.
Alexa,
turn off my lights.
Do we have the same
passion
as the people that don't even have lights?
SubhanAllah.
So, Saydah Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallamah
and I understand sometimes it's hard to be
passionate with Quran if you've had bad experiences.
You know, like sometimes people's parents, they destroyed
them.
I run into a lot of Muslims, their
parents destroyed them. A lot of Muslims, their
parents built them
but every once in a while, it's a
Muslim that you run into. Their parents told
them, Allah hate you. Allah will never forgive
you. You know, you are this, you are
that, and it's stuff, man. The stuff starts
to go into the mind, and then it
creates an understandably frustrated personality.
We need to create
strategic ministries for these people
that help them come out of those tremendously
traumatic situations.
Because sometimes it extends to the Quran.
Sometimes you run into Muslims that have had
extremely brutal teachers.
You know,
harsh teachers who beat their kids. Why would
you beat someone to teach them light?
Why would you physically assault someone
to teach them the most merciful book
ever sent or seen in humanity?
These people should be put in jail,
These people should lose their licenses to teach.
They should not be allowed to teach the
Quran to people.
If you wanna beat people, if you're so
tough,
go and join MMA.
But I guarantee you, most of them guys
are so out of shape. They couldn't even
enjoy a let alone MMA. They could just
be like, hey.
You know, MMA, you at least gotta be
able to run a few miles.
No. They're gonna be I just want a.
But there has to be and this is
the challenge of Muslims in America in general.
We have to create structures that protect our
communities,
protect our children,
protect our young women,
protect our parents,
Right? Protect the people.
You can't just hire anybody to teach the
kids.
Because if they have one
as a person, I have 3 as someone
has 3 children.
I
can say to you one of the most
stressful things I've ever had to do
Is who is gonna teach my children Quran?
Because I know one bad experience, man. One
bad ex because when you're a Quran teacher,
people
people trust you.
They love
you. Because of the Quran.
And if you if you physically hurt those
people,
you're you're worse than Shaitan.
You're teaching Shaitan.
Well, are you teaching Shaitan?
I wouldn't make dua for those people.
I couldn't do that. I'm sorry. I'm not
that good.
Allah Allah
I say
Allah. Allah I say Let Allah deal with
those people.
But for us,
when are we going to create
avenues
for people
to recover from that.
We talk about problems, but we haven't scaled
and created structures
to assist with actually solving the problem.
But let's put it together.
Big cities, New York City, there should be
like an oversight committee that looks after these
things.
It's not just
like people have nowhere to go.
And then there are counselors
and psychiatrists and psychologists and imams and shooq
who can help these people find the light
again
because it ain't even their fault.
It ain't even their fault.
The third,
after parents'
bad religious leadership, they just been around the
wrong people.
They heard the wrong thing from the wrong
person. How many times have I met a
Muslim that goes to say, like, an MSA
or a student event
or some kind of event. And they might
not be that practicing. We need to appreciate
that the majority of the Muslims, they're not
institutionalized.
They weren't institutionalized
in mosques
like the minority.
So they don't necessarily know the language of
the institution.
So when they come into the institution,
you have to love them.
Like, love them to Allah.
When you see a person that doesn't necessarily
look like you look
or they're as adherent as you are,
You got to be loving.
It's easy to burn down a house.
If you want to impress me build a
house
and and love people to Allah.
So I've met
tons of people
that have
gone into situations where they were new to
the community. They they they're born Muslim or
they're converts or whatever. And they don't have
they're not institutionalized.
It's like Shawshank redemption. They're on the outside.
And we need to talk about some of
the problematic overtones of institutionalization
in the Muslim community. Not all institution
institutionalization
is good.
So they come in
and they may even ask a simple question
like this one sister told me she went
to a place and she was like, which
way is the Qibla? And they were like,
are you even Muslim? She's like, I was
born Muslim. I'm from Lebanon.
They're like, but you look like you don't
look like a Muslim. Why would you say
that
if someone's asking you
for the prayer?
So there has to be ways that we
can
rehabilitate people and love them and help them
cure
and help them achieve justice if needed
so that they can ultimately find their faith
again. That's that's what we need to do,
not talk about it.
So, the prophet
and what I love about this is the
prophet is not selfish.
Like, can you imagine if 10 verses were
sent to you?
And the prophet said,
Ten verses were sent to me
whoever establishes
these verses in their life will enter Jannah.
Can you imagine?
If that was sent to me, I bet
you, I'm keeping this to myself, man.
But
saying that Mohammed
he loves the people.
And that's another thing. Don't be a Sheikh
or imam if you don't love the people.
You have to love the Muslims. When I
think about the Muslims, I smile.
Since I was 20 years old, my whole
family has been the Ummah.
That's my family.
That's my people.
Right?
What what a what a wonderful life.
To be Muslim, to memorize the Quran, to
go to college.
The Muslim community sent me to Egypt.
You know what I mean? I was I
was supported by Muslims. When I lived in
Egypt, I didn't pay for anything.
They just told me go and get busy.
And as hard, they didn't take money from
us. As hard as free.
My first teacher that I lived with for
10 years, he never took money from me.
I never seen a community like that before.
That will get your back.
So if you're gonna be the Sheikh or
the Imam, you can't ridicule them.
Muslims are hurting men.
Muslims are traumatized.
So to ridicule them or debase them or
what are you getting from them? Love them
to Allah.
So look at Sayedah Muhammad.
He loves the people.
Look at Say to Mohammed
right before he died.
When he looked out of his apartment,
it was the prayer,
and he saw us, say,
and the others,
and he
smiled.
They said he smiled like he was cheesing,
you know,
because of the Ummah.
That's how much the Prophet loved you.
On his deathbed, what did he say?
Not Ummah. Most people on their their deathbed,
they're thinking about their 401ks.
Did I get a, did I cash everything
out?
The prophet turned to him, he said,
and
said, 10 verses were sent to me.
Whoever establishes them
will go to Jannah.
And then
Sayyidina Umar says then the Prophet said,
recited
23rd chapter of the Quran
verses 1 through 10.
The believers were successful.
We can either stop
or we can explain these 10 verses. I
think it's better if we stop, Insha Allah,
take some questions
and the next week Insha Allah,
we can explain
the first ten verses of * Mu'minu.
The word
means without a doubt.
Without a doubt.
And the word
is from the the
The Falah is the farmer
but in rhetoric,
in Arabic grammar,
in
Arabic,
rhetoric,
we take the figurative meaning the reason that
the word for farming is used for success
is because whatever success you have is because
you reaped it yourself.
So in this one word,
all three components of imen are mentioned. So
I'm looking like a doctor? Alright. Cool. Go
like
this.
All three components of
are mentioned.
Number 1 is you gotta know where to
put the seed if you're gonna farm.
And you gotta know how to look after
it.
And you gotta believe that something's gonna grow
from it.
And the man is that you know Allah,
subhanahu wa ta'ala, you know what you need
to do to bring about the fruit in
the hereafter.
And you know how to look after
it. That's why Allah says
the
of
the
Right? I had to put this on because
people said I look like a doctor.
Just mess with people.
So the
this is actually really beautiful man even though
we're clowning,
but think about this.
That's what Imam Abu Taibi says
that because just as a farmer
knows how to plant,
knows how to care for,
and believes in what will come.
The believer knows how to plant, knows Allah,
knows what he or she needs to do
in their relationship with Allah and they will
also bear
a productive
crop
in the
So,
gonna stop there and take any questions that
you have now. And next week inshallah
we're gonna explain the first ten verses of
Shulhumu Minun.
My advice to you is to learn this
Dua.
It's a good du'a man, and then next
week Insha Allah
in
Again, I wanna encourage you to sign up
for my school, man. You can help me
out.
Go to suheweb.com.
If you want, you can sign up for
a whole year. It's only $99.
Stuff like this is this is how we
teach at Swiss.
We ain't into the battles. We ain't into
all this,
you
know, ciphers and
taking the Muslims out. We don't need we
don't have enemies right now. If we really
understood who our enemies were, we would have
no enemies amongst ourselves.
If we understood
who our enemies
really were,
we would not have any enemies amongst ourselves.
Because we got enemies.
Lot of lot of enemies.
A lot of lot of enemies.
And we're we're we'd act like we don't
have any enemies.
Oh, lord.
We have a lot of enemies.
So if you wanna help me out,
assist my school as we try to grow.
We're gonna try to bring Miriam Amir on
as one of our teachers. You know, sheikha
Mariam Amir, can you imagine we can bring
her on as a teacher, man? Whoo. It's
gonna be nice. Amina Darwish,
Sheikh Fosina, Muhammad, we have 3 amazing women
teachers that we wanna bring on board.
We're gonna have a app
in the spring. So, $99,
500 hours of instruction like this for the
whole year. $99 for the whole year.
You get 1 on ones with me if
you work hard.
You get access to materials, lesson plans, education,
the whole nine
for less than $10 a month.
So do me a favor.
Assist
this effort of mine.
Sincerely asking you.
Sign up for $10 a month or $99
for a whole year. It's better if you
do $99 for the whole year. 99 names,
you know what I'm saying? Just telling you.
And then $99
for the whole year.
Right? Yeah. So if you sign up now,
you get the whole year. Of course, man.
What do you think we are, man? We
ain't Comcast.
We're gonna charge you $99 in in next
month. We're gonna cut you out.
Come on, man. Stuff Allah.
We're your brothers and sisters, man. We're not
like like,
you know,
the CEO on the Simpsons.
Subhan Allah.
But yeah, for the whole year.
Yeah, yeah, you can do that too. You
can jump on for 10 a month, 9,
it's $9.99
a month or you can, you know, later
on, you wanna hook it up. We have
200 people on scholarship.
If you go to Suheibweb.com,
if anyone can type it
in the,
and it's a prorated Islamic school.
You can put that joint on layaway. You
know what I'm saying? Get put on layaway.
We take pawns.
You can bring in some used watches.
Take care of
you.
Any questions
Any questions?
There you go. Oh, $99,
but lack of knowledge ain't 1. Whoo. Dang.
I hear you. Thank you so much for
typing typing that. Any questions that people have
tonight,
I'm happy to take them. If not,
next week, we're gonna continue with the first
ten verses
of, you know,
but just remember this,
try to avoid getting to any beast with
Muslims.
You know, work for unity
and work for good.
What is the regarding
Matam AKA morning for Hussein?
Morning for Sayna. Imam Hussein is considered an
act of great Ibadah.
Right? In the sense, of course, the Sunnis,
the way that we show that morning is
is different than, say, some of the other
although
I know that the head
Sheikh in Iran, he he said you can't
you shouldn't hit yourself and cut yourself. I
read his,
the supreme leader of Iran.
But but
everyone,
Imam
said, everyone should mourn the massacre of Imam
Hussain.
And the people who helped it and abated
it and were involved in these people were
sinners.
The Prophet
he
he said
Whoever loved Hussain, Allah loved that person.
What what would you and I do if
we saw the person now who said that
they had killed the grandson of the prophets?
What will we do to that person? We
will we like that person?
We make excuses for that person.
And we have to be careful. Sometimes, Sunnis
to react
because of the Shia community.
We, like, we distance ourselves from love and.
This
this thing. Every major book of Akida.
In Sunni theology, you find a chapter of
love in the family of the prophet.
And because we ignored this issue,
we ignored the issue
and also we ignored the the genocide that
happened to the family. You know, under the
under the early empires of Islam, the family
of the prophet was slaughtered. This is a
historical fact.
This this is not this is not about
Sunni and Shia. You can go do the
research, read for yourself
how they were massacred.
Sayna Ali he was he was assassinated.
So so
we we also have to come to grips
with this because there is a very important
lesson
in the martyrdom
of Imam Hussain.
And that is our our love
and commitment to social justice.
So, you know,
Whoever loves Hussein, Allah loves that person.
And the most authentic that
I was told to by one of my
teachers when I read Bukhari to him.
You will not find
the name
of Sayna Hussein, Sayda Faltima, Sayda
Hassan accept you find Ali Haslam, Ali Haslam,
Ali Haslam, Ali Himassalam.
Saydna Ali, Ali Haslam. This is the Sunni
tradition.
Not not not the Shia tradition.
So we need to be careful especially of
the Saudi influence,
the CIA influence,
the Mossad influence,
those people that try to make us hate
each other. Man, they don't have to work
anymore. We hate each other so much, man.
They don't have to work anymore.
When we gonna love each other?
Love. Start there.
Any other questions?
I'm currently on
the 10th June right now. So I wonder
whether I'm doing everything. So someone's saying that
they memorized the 10th of they memorized no
Quran and
this brother Zayd has reached
the 10th part of the Quran. Everybody gives
that's
incredible bro.
And he's saying like sometimes he wonders if
he if he's done the right thing.
You are not responsible for putting yourself in
front of the Quran.
You are not responsible for being chosen to
sit in front of the book of Allah.
It is enough for you to be confident
in the
that you are placed in to know that
just as Allah brought you to the uterus
of your mother,
Provided you with blood and nutrients so that
you could be born and come out a
baby. Allah now has put you next to
the greatest nutrient for your iman is the
Quran.
And that in itself is a sign that
Allah loves you.
Inshallah. And that there is a plan that
Allah has for you. So just accept that.
If you doubt yourself, trust in Allah's plan
for you. If you doubt yourself, remember
so just keep going.
And let me know inshallah when you finish
the Quran.
Don't don't don't
don't allow Shaitan to mess with you, man.
You Shaitan, he hates you right now. You
got Shaitan mad, bro.
Knocking out 10 ads up.
Shaitan is trying to,
you know? So, Shaitan is gonna try to
come to you and create doubt in yourself,
insecurities,
all your sins are like this. Your sin,
Allah brought you to this place.
If you wanted to, he could have brought
you anywhere.
But Allah chose you
to be in front of his book. That
means Allah knows more about you than you
know about yourself,
which is a fact.
So
don't allow the ignorance of your potential
to cause you to lose hope
that Allah knows your potential.
That's
it.
Why music is Haram? Music isn't Haram. Man,
that's a long discussion, man.
That's a long discussion.
That's a long remix.
That will be a remixed answer.
There will be a very long answer.
We don't have enough time, but we'll get
into it in the future.
Is it haram that I named my son
Joseph instead of Yusuf? It's not haram but
it's better to name your son with the
Islamic names.
Because,
you know, I'm not telling you what to
do.
But historically,
people tend to lose their identity
as they move away from
their culture.
And the other question, and this is a
conversation you can you and I can have
offline is, like, why did you do that?
Like, what was the motivations to give your
child that need?
So I would strongly encourage people to use
Muslim names
unless they're under, like, threat of death,
you know, things like that. But we have
to hold on to the deen.
You know? We have to hold on to
the deen. And say, Nayusef is, like, the
most beautiful name. And there was no j
in his language, so his name wasn't even
Joseph. I'm not trying to disrespect you. But
that's not even the man's real name, like
Jesus. There's no j in Aramaic.
So I
I I'm I'm happy that you asked this
question. This is a safe place for you
to ask this question, and I I pray
for your family.
My my advice, you know, and I'm coming
as a convert so
maybe a little different but
you know,
I would encourage people to make sure they
hold on to Muslim names.
As a Muslim nurse cannot touch females, if
so, well, yes, you can touch females.
Will you lose your will do? The only
way you would lose your will do according
to the strongest opinion is there's any and
if you start to have, then, of course,
you should not touch females. Right?
But may Allah bless you for being a
health care provider, and may Allah
increase you. And you guys are on the
front lines, man. And I'm someone I have,
3 family members, 4, maybe 5 of COVID
19.
So I really appreciate the work you do.
May Allah bless you.
We have a few more minutes and then
I think the the live will stop. Any
other questions inshallah.
We're going to talk about concentration and prayer
next week because that's the verse that's in
front of us in
do more bristles
make you lose your.
No. Because
you they don't break they don't break your.
And it's allowed to use brushes and stuff
with more more bristles for your
hair according to the strongest opinion.
It's not an issue because you ain't eating
it. You know what I'm saying? Somebody eat
no
no brush. You know what I'm saying?
Eat this brush, boy.
Any other questions before we go? I hope
everybody's doing great. It's nice to see you
guys. Keep my family in Duas inshallah and
myself.
I have one more test. The results will
come.
My wife has a test tomorrow.
For Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, so merciful, sheikh
Abu Samad who teaches at Swiss actually has
COVID 19.
So please keep him in your duas.
Is that haram for a man to get
a vasectomy?
If he already has kids, no. But if
he doesn't have kids, he shouldn't do that.
Can you give some advice on how to
know if Allah I I talked about that.
If you watch this broadcast, inshallah, you'll you'll
see it there. You'll see it there. Can
you give some advice on how to know
if Allah is happy? Yeah. I talked about
that early on so you can go check
it out.
People who passed away, my question. I don't
see your question, and I'm I'm so sorry.
Let me look.
I'm I'm gonna track it down.
Oh, see. The thing is you wrote so
many times what about my question,
but now I'm having trouble finding your question.
I'm so sorry. I'm really sorry. I didn't
see it.
You Allah. So this person, Uzma,
her 26 year old nephew passed away. 1st,
may Allah
give him Jannah.
May Allah bring your family, Sakina.
I'm really, really sorry.
May
Allah bless him and unite
you all together under the
the of Muhammad sali al salam. I don't
see your question though, Usman. So you can
send it to me
or if you type it quickly, I'm gonna
try to answer it inshallah.
What is the purpose of pain?
The purpose of pain is one of the
things is to help us appreciate pleasure, to
appreciate Jannah. When the last month that
I kicked Adam, was kicked out of Jannah,
he said, you know, you'll come you'll come
back to Jannah, a place that you have
no inner or or outer pain.
Right? And when Sayida Khadija was told about
Jannah a place that you'll never experience pain
because she had so much pain in her
life. Sayida Khadija went through so much.
I don't Yeah.
May Allah bless him and forgive him. Yeah.
May Allah increase him inshallah. Any Arabic learning
resources depends on your level in Arabic.
Are you sinful for evil thoughts that cross
your mind? No. Unless you allow them to
last forever, like a long time?
Or you
act on them? Can Satan hear your thoughts?
No.
No.
Why do I still refuse to wear hijab
even though I'm my forties? I don't know.
I mean, honestly, I think talking to a
female shaykhah
is gonna be good, you know. Another woman
and maybe some of the sisters here can
involve you
with this discussion, you know.
You know.
I was told because I was formally Christian
and I married my Muslim husband
and not a formally chaste Christian woman that
our marriage isn't valid. Is this true? That
is
absolute
nonsense.
Super irresponsible. And I know this sister, by
the way, is asking this question.
This woman who converted to Islam,
for people to say this about you after
the incredibly
profound, wonderful questions that you and your husband
have sent me in the past, they don't
know you.
And the Sahaba, many of them before they
became Muslim, they had relationships with people. This
is nonsense, man.
This is nonsense. This is nonsense.
Can he hear us
crying or feel us? He cannot feel you.
The strong opinion is that he can hear
you if you send salaams, Usman to him.
If you make dua to him,
the people who die
after he dies will meet him in a
barzakh and he will ask them about you
and he will tell them the good news
about you.
You can visit his grave, and he can
hear you in at the grave as the
strongest opinion of the.
I'm gonna do an entire session on this,
a whole q and a session.
But most importantly, we pray for your nephew.
Now Allah give him
and bring happiness to your hearts.
Why did the break the idols at Mecca?
Because that was also a symbol of political
power, but also a
an act of open shirk in Masjid Haram
which is forbidden in Masjid
Al Haram. What is the best morning to
do in the the best morning?
The best
as the prophet said.
For questions about tradings and stops, man, stocks,
imam, Joe Bradford is the best.
You know, I don't feel comfortable answering questions
when I know he's around. Imam Joe Bradford,
is the best. We'll take one more question
because this is gonna end, I know.

read
Absolutely,
man. This is some cultural stuff.
The all the dua most of the hadith
about the dua for entering the seminary, the
cemetery is taught to us by women Sahadi.
Why would the prophet teach Aisha the dua
of entering the graveyard if it was haram
for women to go into the graveyard?
