There are some rules down for this type
of programs,
and they are very simple.
You keep the cars 2 meters apart,
and people should try to stay in the
car as much as possible.
Please, if you do need to leave up
from the car,
you can I mean, if you do need
to leave, you can drive out?
There's no problem.
But if you stay in the car, please
try to stay in the car as much
as possible.
If there are kids who need to be,
buckled up or buckled down or, you know,
you can get out the car and, you
know, make the seat adjustment and things like
that. But please do not walk around the
parking lot.
Many of the programs that Canada Muslim Association
does
are now online,
including,
all our schools
and all of the imam's programs.
And I would like to take this opportunity
to thank this beautiful community
and our staff at all the 3 schools
and imam and all the volunteers who made
this possible.
For our our work for phase 1 of
the project,
which includes

of the existing building, and the parking lot
in the back has been progressing.
Although we had to take a pause due
to lockdown. You know, whatever I do when
I speak. Our existing building that is being
renovated
will be a 4,000 square foot
building that will host the and many community
activities.
The work is now 70% complete. Inshallah, we
hope to complete the remaining 30%
in the coming months.
The new Musalla will have 7 rooms,
including men and women's prayer area to use
voice radio.
Mom and baby rooms and kitchen.
We hope we can construction of the new
building. There is a phase 2
next year.
I would also like to share the good
news that we applied last year
for a government grant
for security programs,
and we we were recently approved
for to receive about
$90,000 from the government to install this top
top notch
security camera and the light in the, parking
lot lights in the parking lot in the
back.
Inshallah, this new
camera system that also be able to use
in the new building. So we are saving,
substantial cost with the government's help.
Through your
through your generous donation and through your contribution
and through your support, this year in Ramadan,
we reduced our fundraising
target,
and we,
we were able, you were able to donate
close to $425,000
in this month of Ramadan. May Allah bless
you.
For your and the trust that you place
on our work. May Allah reward you for
your intentions
and efforts.
May Allah accept all may Allah give you
happiness,
prosperity, growth, and grant you the best life
hereafter.
May Allah give you children who will follow

beyond you. Path of Islam. They're down to
the
Rasulullah My dear brothers and sisters,
our primary goal in KMA is to build
a community. Insight. Insight. Community,
like, guys Likewise.
Working together is vibrant.
A community is created
when you share what you have with others,
even small things.
Just sharing a smile helps you create a
community.
Sharing your energy, sharing your time,
sharing your
skills and tense,
and sharing your and sharing your your money
or sharing your resources that you have.
There are so many people who are associated
with KMA. If I start thanking them, it
will go a very long list, and I
will obviously
forget a lot of people.
Inshallah, and they're sharing their time, sharing what
they have, sharing what Allah has given them
and sharing a little bit of that. And
every one of us, when we share a
little bit of each little bit from each
one of us,
create something that is very big, and that
has a high impact to us now and
for the for the many, many years and
generations to come inshallah.
Effort. We are creating a community that we
are all we can we can be proud
of.
There are so many sharing the time and
effort all of last week to prepare for
this event and to prepare the goodie bags
and to create environment for us today in
this, you know, in this situation to make
the best out of the time that is
available to make this happen. It's only possible
because
because,
we all made a small effort that together
became a big effort. Alhamdulillah.
Alhamdulillah for this. Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.
In Ramadan people, so many members of our
community came together
and contributed food and donations
to the Kanata food cupboard so that they
can distribute
food to the to the needy Muslim families
who are living in our community and who
need some help. Inshallah, Allahu Akbar for that.
Allahu Akbar, I'm really so proud to be
living in this community where people are able
to come together and pull together something in
the hardest of times.
This community approach has enabled us to grow
in the last few years, and and we
hope that once our is ready, we will
be able to do many more things. We
will be able to bring in
many more people and be able to grow
the Muslim community that we can call, and
we can be all proud of this thing.
We,
you know, we have 3 schools,
regular Islamic programs,
counseling services, and Zakat committee. These are the
few things to mention. And,
we need to grow. We need we can
do a lot more, and, we have the
resources and talent in the community, and we
can do more. We can do definitely do
more.
I am very optimistic. I am very optimistic,
and I am very hopeful for the future
of this community.
I'm myself, I find it myself very fortunate
to be living in this beautiful community, to
be, you know, raising my kids. And I
have lot of hope for my kids and
for all of our kids, inshallah, that they
will grow up to be good Muslims and
good citizens of our country.
Inshallah. Inshallah. With together with together with this
help, we will be able to build a
community that we can we can all be
proud of, and other communities will follow our
examples inshallah. I would like to mention
to thank today our volunteer team who are
in the, Orange West and Blue West, who
are organizing who have been organizing throughout the
week, and our team of families who have
gotten together and made goodies, and all of
you who have decorated your cars, who have
come here with all the fancy and creative
signs.
I can see some of the signs, and
they really chuckle me up.
I would like to take this
opportunity
to be with us and to provide his
guidance, to provide his help, and to provide
programming.
Without his effort, it would not be possible.
I'd like to also take this time to
thank Jenna Sertz, our city councilor,
and the Nokia Corporation to provide us this
parking lot. Without them, this would not have
been possible. And then I thank Jenna particularly
to responding to us our request
quickly and quickly and,
efficiently so we could have this program.
I would like to invite our brother,
Nabil Rafay to come and give us a
message,
short message in French inshallah.
Assalamu
alaikum, everyone.
Let's do it nice and loud. Assalamu alaikum,
everyone.
So nice to see everyone. So nice to
hear everyone finally.
We begin by praising Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
and glorifying Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, the Lord
of the Universe.
The Lord of everything that we see, and
everything that this universe contains.
We thank Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for giving
us this opportunity
to witness
the month of Ramadan,
the blessed month of Ramadan
once again.
SubhanAllah, so many of us were unsure
about whether we would see another Ramadan.
We did not know if we were going
to see another Ramadan or not,
but Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
made it happen for us.
We ask Allah
to grant us acceptance
of whatever good he guided us to
in this blessed in the blessed month,
we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for forgiveness
for our for our shortcomings
and our mistakes.
I also want to thank you
as brother Mahmoud and doctor Nabil said. I
also want to thank you,
each and every single one of you, for
your continued support
for us,
for our work,
and for each other, especially during the past
2 months,
the past two
challenging and difficult months.
We did not know what Ramadan was going
to be like during a pandemic
and with so many restrictions.
People were concerned.
How are we going to spend Ramadan
without Taraweeh in Jamara?
Without iftar with each other? How are we
going to spend Ramadan without being able to
go to the masjid?
But, alhamdulillah,
hirabil alamin, Allah
made it positive for us in so many
ways.
Similarly, my brothers and sisters, my young friends,
let us always have faith.
Let us always have faith that whatever Allah
sends our way without us wanting it or
liking it
will actually be good for us insha'allah.
Once again, let us always have faith that
whatever Allah decides,
whatever Allah decrees to send towards us
will actually be good for us inshallah.
My brothers and sisters,
aid comes to us a day of joy,
a day of happiness,
gratefulness,
and glorification of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
as a celebration mandated by Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala.
Yes, Allah and his messenger salallahu alaihi wasalam
want us to celebrate.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in the Quran,
after the injunctions of fasting,
And that you must glorify Allah,
meaning to say the Takbir as we have
been saying, for having guided you so that
you may be grateful
to him. So we glorify Allah
with the Takbir.
We show gratefulness and thankfulness to him. Allahu
Akbar Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar.
We show gratefulness
and thankfulness
by praying, by enjoying bounties, and thanking Allah
for praying, for and praying for one another,
humbling ourselves
by showing extra mercy and extra kindness
to one another with expressions
of love and gifts.
And of course, the mandatory payment of of
for each member of our family
to expiate for our shortcomings in the month
of Ramadan Thank you. And to make Eid
a bit more enjoyable
for the less fortunate.
My brothers and sisters,
Eid is a time for happiness and joy.
The prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said,
for every nation, and this
is our Eid.
So let's try my brothers and sisters
to try to make it fun, make
it memorable, possible manner of course, and especially
in the this year, especially at this time,
in a legal
and a wise
there is no question my brothers and sisters
that Eid is very different this year.
As was when was the last time we
gathered in cars
in this way,
like cars.
Kids
gathered here.
SubhanAllah.
So there's no question
that Eid is very different this year as
was Ramadan.
But my brothers and sisters,
different does not have to be bad.
Different does not have to be bad. So
let us be creative
and make different
good and exciting. Masha'Allah. We see cars decorated.
Masha'Allah. Right? You see signs.
We see
children, Blowing bubbles sitting on cars.
Uh-huh. Decorations.
So we celebrate, but we do it in
a different way. We adjust to the reality.
We adjust to the situation that Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala puts us
in.
And after being at home
for most of the past 2 months,
many people are now finding joy in the
little things.
A picnic at the park,
going out for a family walk, a bike
ride, sitting by the water, doing a barbecue,
little things which we may not have cared
much for before, but all of a sudden,
they have become valuable.
So my brothers and sisters, let us find
joys in the little things
and continue to find joys in the little
things
as that increases gratefulness.
What does it do? It increases gratefulness.
When we show gratefulness to others, it helps
us thank Allah.
When we show gratefulness to Allah, we go
against what shaitan promised Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
He said to Allah in defiance,
He promised Allah, he said, I will approach
them, and he's talking about us.
I will approach them from their front, from
their back, from their right, from their left,
meaning he wants to surround us and attack
us from every direction.
And then he said
to Allah that you will find most of
them to be ungrateful.
He wants us to be ungrateful,
so let us fight back with gratefulness.
The shayateen were in the penalty box during
Ramadan.
We had the power play advantage.
Now they are out. Their penalty
during this test of life is over,
and they are out in full force.
So my brothers and sisters,
a reminder for myself and all of us,
be on guard.
Be on the offense
with good deeds similar to as you were
in Ramadan.
Strengthen
your defense with the remembrance of Allah,
and don't let shaitan score on you by
leading you to disobey
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Be forgiving.
Allah will be forgiving to you. Be merciful,
and Allah will be merciful to you. Be
tolerant and give people the benefit of the
doubt.
The prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said,
Be merciful towards those upon the earth,
and
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, the most merciful, will
be merciful towards you insha'Allah.
So my brothers and sisters, let us continue
to make dua.
Resist the urge to go back to the
old ways.
Resist the temptations to go back to the
old ways.
Make your Ramadan a Ramadan of acceptance from
Allah
by becoming a better person
and a better servant to your lord.
My brothers and sisters, let us also resist
the urge
to go back to old ways including in
terms of caution
in this pandemic
as there may still be some unexpected and
undesirable terms. May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala protect
us all. So let us continue to take
precautions.
Let us continue to take precautions
and place your trust in Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala.
Thank you and jazaqallahu
khayrah once again for all of your love
and your support
and a special thanks
to all of our amazing supporters
and volunteers.
May Allah
always be with each of you. May Allah
bless you and your family. May Allah
continue to guide you and protect you from
all harms.
