If you can kindly unmute the mic, Sheikh.
Thank you for joining us on our weekly
dars of the four principles of shirk.
The four principles with our honourable Sheikh, Sheikh
Salim Al Amri.
Sadly, we have come to our final principle.
The last session of this particular text, Alhamdulillah,
lurking.
Alhamdulillah, Sheikh has honoured us once again.
And he has informed us, Inshallah.
From next week, we will begin our journey
through another text, which Sheikh has selected.
Which we will inform you of towards the
end of today's session, Inshallah.
So let us continue and conclude today's dars
of this particular text.
Fadila to Sheikh Salim Al Amri.
Jazakallah Khaira.
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most
Merciful.
Alhamdulillah.
We praise Him, we seek His help, and
we seek His forgiveness.
And we seek refuge in Allah from the
evil of our egos and from the evil
of our actions.
Indeed, whoever Allah guides, there is no misguidance
for him, and whoever He misguides, there is
no guidance for him.
And I bear witness that there is no
god but Allah, and there is no partner
for Him.
And I bear witness that Muhammad is His
servant and His Messenger.
As for what follows, the most truthful hadith
is the Book of Allah, and the best
guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, peace and
blessings be upon him and his family.
Dear brothers and sisters in Islam, the four
principles, which the Sheikh, may Allah have mercy
on him, laid down, which are very, very
important for everyone to know them.
To realize them and to understand them.
Because these are foundations.
If you understand these four principles, then you
will be able to argue and to present
the pure message of Tawheed to those who
are confused.
Those who have misconceptions and misunderstandings.
Many of those who commit shirk today and
belong to the Muslim ummah, the concept of
shirk and Tawheed is not clear in their
minds.
At all.
So when you are quoting the ayat, they
say these ayat came down regarding the mushriks.
That is true.
But who are the mushriks?
And what is shirk?
Do you think Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala,
just like that, decided that this group of
people are mushriks?
Okay, though they are good people and they
are worshipping him, so they should go to
*?
Or because they have done something heinous, something
horrible, which deprived them of Allah's mercy and
entering his Jannah.
So you need to understand this.
Just because your name is Muhammad or Ali
or Ahmad or Abd al-Azhar or Abd
al-Khaliq, and you are doing the same
thing that they used to do, this will
not be an excuse for you.
So you need to know, before you deny
and negate and say I am not a
mushrik or I am not practicing shirk or
committing shirk, first of all define what shirk
is.
What is the shirk?
If you don't know what the shirk is,
how can you negate it and say I
am not doing it when you don't know
it?
When you don't know what is the essence
of shirk and what is the definition of
shirk?
You cannot.
So that is why these four principles are
very essential to know.
So here today, the fourth one, though this
small booklet and text, it is small in
size, but it is so rich in its
content, so rich and to the point.
So the author, Rahim Allah Ta'ala, this
is his sunnah.
This is his way.
When he makes any statement, he supports it
with the evidence from the kitab and the
sunnah.
So what does he say?
He says, the mushrik is a man enough.
He is talking about his time.
The mushrikeen of our time.
Those who commit shirk.
Mushrik is the one who commits shirk.
That's it.
If you say you are not a mushrik,
then avoid the shirk.
That's simple.
The muthnib is the one who commits them.
A sinner is one who commits a sin.
So the mushrikeen of our time are worse
in shirk than the previous generations.
They are worse than the mushriks who were
at the time of the Prophet Muhammad.
Why?
It sounds, this is so harsh.
How do you call me that I am
worse than the mushriks who preceded me?
Then he says, they are worse in shirk
than the previous generations because the former generations,
the mushriks at the time of the Prophet
Muhammad, committed shirk during times of ease.
When they are relaxed at the time of
ease.
But they would become sincere during difficult times.
So the mushriks at the time of the
Prophet Muhammad, they commit shirk at times of
ease.
But when they are under hardship and facing
difficulty, they forget about all these false objects
of worship.
And they call only upon Allah.
That's why the Prophet Muhammad, he asked one
of the mushriks, he said, how many gods
do you worship?
He said, I think seven, he said.
One in heaven and the rest on earth.
He said, which one?
Which one?
You rely on and count on me.
And when you are in need, you call
upon him.
He said, of course, the one who is
in heaven.
He said, worship the one who is in
heaven and leave this.
So the mushriks at that time of the
Prophet Muhammad, they only commit shirk when they
are during times of ease.
And they become so sincere during difficult times.
That's what Allah describes them here.
فَإِذَا رَكِبُوا فِي الْفُلْكِ أَبُو جَهَلْ أَبُو لَهَمْ
The mushriks, when they embark on the ships,
they are on board of ships, فِي الْفُلْكِ
دَعُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلُصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ They call upon
Allah sincerely.
From the bottom of their hearts.
فَلَمَّنَ جِعَهُمْ إِلَى الْبَطْمِ When they are delivered,
now they are on land.
إِذَا هُمْ مُشْرِكُمْ They go back and start
practicing.
But the mushriks, the Sheikh is saying, of
our time, unlike the mushriki of today, whose
shirk is continuous at times of ease and
hardship.
So which one is worse?
At time of ease, they don't call upon
Allah.
They call the saints, they call the awliya.
At the same time, at time of hardship,
they call the awliya.
And the proof is saying, as Allah said
in surat al-Ankabut, ayah 65 لَإِذَا رَكِبُوا
فِي الْفُلْكِ دَعُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلُصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ فَلَمَّنَ
جَعَهُمْ إِلَى الْبَطْمِ When they embark on a
ship, they invoke Allah, making their dua, their
iman, their faith, pure for Him.
Pure for Him.
دَعُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلُصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ فَلَمَّنَ جَعَهُمْ إِلَى
الْبَطْمِ But when He brings them safely to
land, behold, they give a share of their
worship to others.
So that is what Allah said about the
mushriks.
So the mushriks, when they are in difficulties,
facing hardship, they call upon Allah.
But the mushriks of His time and our
time, it is still the same.
So they invoke anyone other than Allah, because
their knowledge that no one can save them
from the hardship except Allah.
So the mushriks, they know.
As Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la
So this is surah al-Isra, ayah 67.
When harm touches you upon the sea, so
Allah is telling us about the mushriks, those
that you call upon beside Him vanish from
you except Him, Allah alone.
ضلَّ مَن تَدْعُونَ You forget about your false
deity.
فَلَمَّنَ جَعَهُمْ إِلَى الْبَطْمِ أَعْرَبْتُمْ But when He
brings you safely to land, you turn away
from Him.
وَكَانَ الْإِنسَانُ كَفُورًا Mankind is ever ungrateful.
Also Allah says
And as soon as
they are overwhelmed by waves like shades كَفُورًا
When they are in the middle of the
ocean And the waves Cast shadows over them
Like shades Mountains of water What to do?
جَعَهُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلُصِينَ The reason I'm giving always
the ayaat and the number of the ayaat
For you to memorize جَعَهُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلُصِينَ لَهُ
الدِّينِ مُخْلُصِين Tawheed is the Quran, all tawheed
from the beginning till the end So Allah
is telling us Now when they are facing
these mountains of seawater Huge waves And they
feel that they are going to be crushed
They call upon Allah جَعَهُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلُصِينَ لَهُ
الدِّينِ From their hearts فَلَمَّنَجَّعُ مِذَلْفَةٍ SubhanAllah
But when He delivers them safely to shore
Only some become relatively grateful The rest they
go back to on their heels And none
rejects our signs Except whoever is deceitful and
ungrateful One of the ulema He said
I was in a ship Travelling by sea
And he was young He is mentioning this
story And There was a strong storm And
the people started calling the saints Calling the
awliya O saint so and so, save us
I started to scream And shout at them
We are going to be Drowned We will
sink Because of your shirk They looked at
me and they were very furious And they
told me shut up Otherwise we will throw
you into the sea See In such situations
Instead of turning to Allah They are calling
other than Allah They call upon other than
Allah The muslims Who preceded them, who came
before them They would not call Anyone except
Allah And those they call Others than Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala Because
They are not sincere to Allah Even during
times of hardship In such situations Instead of
calling Allah They call the awliya Save us
Save us Save us Save us What is
this?
Who can save you?
Who can save you except Allah?
What can Al Hasan Al Hussain Can do?
Nothing They don't hear you And you leave
the one who hears you The one who
has the power To tell the storm To
abate You leave him?
You call Sheikh Abdul Qadir Gilani?
May Allah guide all the muslims And the
stories when you read About them And what
they said And their journeys It's unbelievable There
is a book Called Tabaqatul Awliya By Shahrami
I have it here When I want to
This When I want to laugh I just
read a few pages You will laugh The
things there are You cannot digest them Things
there are, believe me In this Tabaqatul Awliya
Shahrami The ranks of the awliya Stories you
cannot read Openly They are so indecent You
cannot So anyway And when you Sit
with the In the circus of the Deviant
mystics You hear such a story So And
of course This is how they brainwashed The
followers of the disciples Your Sheikh can do
anything Your Sheikh is so powerful Call upon
him when you are in need When you
are in trouble call the Sheikh Not call
Allah, no Call your Sheikh Not
Allah And your Sheikh will be there So
anyway And they call this Karamat These are
miracles of the awliya So in Tabaqatul Awliya
there is this wali And the people were
in the middle of the ocean Middle of
the ocean And they were about to sink
And to drown So they call upon the
Sheikh And guess what He extends his hand
He extended his hand To the sea, he
was sitting And he heard them Across the
Atlantic, across the Indian Ocean He heard them
cry So he extended his hand And carries
the whole ship The whole ship, imagine And
brings it to the shore And even his
sleeves Remain dry And there are so many
nonsense In these books If someone says You
know these stories are fabricated And someone has
inserted them into the book Good So why
do you keep them in the book?
If we remove all the nonsense No book
will remain So why do you insist on
keep reprinting it And translating it Into many
tongues?
Why?
That means you believe in that You accept
it So my dear
brothers and sisters Our deen Is free of
all this nonsense There is no room in
our deen For the myths and superstitions As
a matter of fact Islam came to liberate
the mind From the superstitions Fairy tales All
these things And came with this fuel The
message of Tawheed To purify the heart And
clear the mind And remove all these Misconceptions
So you know exactly What is your role
in life And what is the purpose behind
your existence And because you Believe in the
oneness of Allah This Necessitates And entails That
you have to reject All forms of shirk
And those who commit shirk You have to
reject them You have to Renounce them You
have to say I am innocent of you
I have nothing to do with you Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala says In surat al
an'am Ayat 19 Say Innama
huwa ilahun wahidun wa innani bali'un mimma
tashrikun My dear brothers when you are reading
the Qur'an See what Allah is saying
Innama huwa ilahun wahidun There is only one
God One ilah One deity that needs to
be worshipped Wa innani bali'un mimma tashrikun
And I am totally Against And innocent Of
what you associate with him I am innocent
I wash my hands of you Wa innani
bali'un mimma tashrikun There is only one
God And I totally reject whatever You associate
with him Remember my dear brothers and sisters
The significance Of the negation and the affirmation
In the kalima Ash hadu As a witness
Anahu la ilaha la ilaha illallah La ilaha
Negation No deity worthy of worship You have
to first of all to disbelieve To disbelieve
In all false objects Then you believe in
Allah Without disbelieving In all false objects That
are worshipped besides Allah No tawheed No Islam
No Jannah Ibrahim alayhi salam
Was arguing Debating With his people Okay you
worship the moon Okay let's go let's worship
this moon For the sake of argument Because
all prophets Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala Saved
them from committing shirk But he is Arguing
with his people For the sake of argument
Let's have the moon So the moon set
Disappeared Falamna ra'a ash-shamsa bazighatan Qala
hadha rabbi hadha akbar Falamna asala Qala yaqoomi
innan ta'ala Then when he saw the
sun Shining he said This must be my
lord It is the greatest But again when
it set He declared O my people I
totally reject whatever you associate with Allah Also
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in surat
at-tawbah wa adhanum minallahi wa rasulih ilannasi
yawmal hajjil akbari annallaha bari'un minal mishrikiyin
wa rasulun This is surat at-tawbah Declaring
That we have nothing to do with you
mushriks A declaration from Allah and his messenger
Is made to all people on the day
Of the greater pilgrimage Yum'arafa This was
the announcement To all the Arabs No more
chance for you annallaha bari'un minal mishrikiyin
wa rasulun That Allah and his messenger Are
free of the polytheists We are free of
you We have nothing to do with you
You mushriks So This
is our Islam annallaha bari'un minal mishrikiyin
wa rasulun Which means Allah Azza wa Jal
Is free of the mushriks That's why That's
why A Bedouin Heard a reciter reading this
ayah wrongly ra'danu minallahi wa rasulihi ila n
-nasi yawmal hajjil akbari annallaha bari'un minal
mishrikiyin wa rasulihi Instead of saying wa rasulun
That the rasul is free of the mushriks
He said wa rasulihi Which makes the meaning
That Allah Azza wa Jal That he is
free Of the mushriks and the rasul So
this Bedouin he said awa qad bari' Allahumma
rasulihi wa qad bari' If Allah is saying
he is free of his rasul I am
free of him What are you saying?
This is what the reciter said Because by
his fitrah Understanding He realized If Allah is
saying this What it is?
annallaha annallaha annallaha bari'un minal mishrikiyina wa
ra'danu minallahi wa rasulihi ila n-nasi yawmal
hajjil akbari annallaha annallaha bari'un minal mishrikiyina
wa rasuluh Ibrahim
a.s The father of the prophets Allah
tells us about him and his father Ibrahim
Tried all his best To convince his father
But his father Was Stubborn So Ibrahim said
I will make istighfar for you wa ma
kana istighfar Ibrahima li abihi illa am maw
'idati wa'adaha iya fa lamma tabayyana lahu
annahu adool lillahi tabarra'a minhu inna Ibrahima
lawwahu khalil As for Ibrahim's prayer for his
father's forgiveness It was only in fulfillment of
a promise He promised his father He had
made to him But when it became clear
to Ibrahim That his father was an enemy
of Allah tabarra'a minhu He broke ties
with him This is the This is the
Istighfar He broke the ties with him I
am innocent of you I am free of
you You are an enemy of my Rabb
Enemy of Allah Azzawajal inna Ibrahima lawwahu khalil
Ibrahim was truly tender hearted Qudayri Hud alayhi
as-salam See my dear brothers and sisters
The prophets of Allah They came with the
Tawheed wa ila a'adin akhahum huda qala
yaqoom ya'budu Allah ma lakum min ilahi
ghayru And entered the tribe of Aad Their
brother Hud He told them Ya'budu Allah
Worship Allah ma lakum min ilahi ghayru They
have no other to deity to worship except
Allah But they didn't listen See what they're
saying His people In surah Hud Ayah 54
inna qulu illa taraka fahadu alihatina bisu qala
inni ujhidu Allah wa ujhadu anni bali'u
mimma fitriqun They said All we They said
All we can see is that some of
our gods have possessed you with evil taraka
fahadu alihatina bisu because you are talking against
our gods so now you are under this
this evil that they cast on you But
see the prophets their hearts are full of
Tawheed qala inni ujhidu Allah I call Allah
to witness and you too bear witness anni
bali'u mimma fitriqun I totally reject whatever
you associate I am very I am innocent
I am free of whatever you associate with
Allah I reject it I don't believe in
it Then he said the ayah after that
that is ayah 54 ayah 55 he said
inni bali'u mimma fitriqun min doona fatiduni
jami'an thumma la tumdhirun fatiduni jami'an
thumma la tumdhirun I
totally reject whatever you associate with him in
worship so let all of you plot against
me without delay go you and your gods
do whatever you want then he said the
ayah after that ayah 56 inni tawakkaltu ala
Allahi rabbi wa rabbikum ma min daabatin illa
huwa aakhidun binasiyatiha inna raj'ala siratul muslim
I have put my trust in Allah inni
tawakkaltu ala Allah rabbi my lord your lord
ma min daabatin illa huwa aakhidun binasiyatiha there
is no living creature that is not completely
under his control every living creature Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala is controlling it inna rabbi
ala siratul mustaqeem surely my lord's way is
perfect in surah az-zukhruf ayah 26 to
28 because this what the tawheed necessitates you
reject the shirk and the people of shirk
so in surah az-zukhruf ayah 26 to
28 wa idh qala ibraheemu la abihi wa
qawmihi innani fara ummin wul illa allathee fatarani
fa innahu sayahdeen waj'alaha kalimatan baqiatan fee
aqibihi la'allahum yardun remember our prophet sallallahu
alaihi wa sallam when Ibrahim declared to his
father and his people I am totally free
of whatever you worship I don't believe in
your idols so he announced openly and publicly
no compromisation innani fara ummin ma ta'budun
illa allathee fatarani fa innahu sayahdeen except the
one who originated me the one who created
me the one who brought me into being
from nothing fa innahu sayahdeen he will surely
guide me waj'alaha kalimatan baqiatan fee aqibihi
la'allahum yardun and he left this kalimat
of the tawheed enduring declaration among his descendants
so they may always turn back to Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala also Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala said in surah al
-mumtahina ayat 4 qad kanat lakum uswatun hasanatun
fee ibraheema walladheena ma'at id qalu liqawmihim
inna bura'a uminkum wa mimma ta'budun
mindoon illa fatarna bikum wabada baynana wabaynakum aladawatu
walbaghda abada hatta tu'minu billahi wahda illa qawla
ibraheem bi abid astaghfiranna lakum wama amliku laka
minallahi min shay rabbana alayka tawakkalna wa ilayka
anabna wa ilayka anabna you already have an
excellent example in Ibraheem and those with him
when they say to their people we totally
dissociate okay we do not associate anything with
Allah dissociate ourselves from you and shun whatever
idols you worship besides Allah kafamna bikum whatever
you associate we reject wabada baynana wabaynakum aladawatu
walbaghda the enmity and hatred that has arisen
between us and you will last until you
believe in Allah alone hatta su'minu billahi wahidah
we will never compromise we will never love
your idols and we will never love you
until you worship Allah alone the only exception
is when Ibraheem said to his father I
will seek forgiveness for you and I cannot
protect you from Allah at all our Lord
in you we trust and to you we
always turn to you is the final return
succeed so Allah is telling us there is
good excellent outstanding example for you so who
is the example for you as a muwahid
Ibraheem alaihi salam and his people his followers
remember when they told their people we are
free of you we don't know you we
are free of you and whatever you associate
with Allah and worship besides Allah then they
told them this is the meaning of la
ilaha illallah this is the meaning of it
this is the meaning of the negation negation
the kufr the disbelief which precedes the belief
this is the meaning of the kufr you
disbelieve all false objects that are besides Allah
now from now on what we have is
enmity and hatred forever until the
exception is that Ibraheem he promised his father
that I will pray for you and ask
Allah to forgive you I don't own anything
I cannot save you I cannot do anything
for you I cannot protect you from Allah
at all this is how the mu'mineen should
be always our Rabb on you we rely
on you we put our trust this is
the weapon of the mu'mineen tawakkul the tawakkul
is the cream of the tawheed the tawakkul
you rely on Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
wa ilayka anatna to you we turn and
wa ilayka al-masjidiyya and the final return
is to you subhanaka also my dear brothers
and sisters there are types of shirk you
need to know them to avoid them mainly
three categories but then the these three categories
can be subdivided into also other categories so
I hope that you are taking notes so
the types of shirk shirk in rububiyyah which
means shirk in the load shirk in the
unity of load shirk what is the tawheed
of rububiyyah the unity of load shirk that
means you single Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
regarding his actions so his action his own
divine acts that his creator cherisher provider sustainer
so now if you commit shirk and consider
someone can create or someone can provide or
someone can save you in the ocean and
bring your ship to the shore then you
are committing shirk in the rububiyyah and you
make that saint your rab now he is
your rab because you are giving him a
quality of Allah azza wa jall it's only
Allah who is giving
him a quality of Allah because the reality
that the dead they do not hear as
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in surah
an-nahl ayah 20 to 21 wa alladhina
yad'uuna min duuni Allahi la yakhluquna shay
'aa la yakhluquna shay'an la yakhluquna shay
'an wahum yukhlaquun amwatun ghayru ahyaa la yakhluquna
shay'an wahum yukhlaquun amwatun ghayru ahyaa wa
maash'uuna iya la yab'aatuna alladhina yad
'uuna min duuni Allah but those idols, those
objects, false objects they invoke besides Allah cannot
create anything they themselves are created they cannot
create anything those awliya they are created.
Amwatun ghayru ahyaan.
Allah is saying amwatun ghayru ahyaan.
They are dead, not alive.
wa ma yash'uroona, wa ma yash'uroona,
ayyana yib'athil hum.
There is no shu'ur.
wa ma yash'uroona, ayyana yib'athil hum.
They are dead, not alive.
Not even knowing when their followers will be
resurrected.
They don't know.
So how do you call upon them?
How do you call upon them?
So this is shirk in regarding the asma'
and sifah.
The major shirk is offering any, this is
shirk al-akbar, offering any act of worship
to other than Allah.
This is called shirk al-akbar, major shirk.
Minor shirk, major shirk takes you out of
the fold of Islam.
Minor shirk will not take you out of
the fold of Islam, but it is grave
sin and it is greater than and graver
than any other major sins.
For example, going to the soothsayer or fortune
teller or the palmist.
And this minor shirk sometimes, it will become
major.
Of course, if you believe that the soothsayer
knows the unseen, then it becomes major shirk.
But if you don't believe in that and
you just went either because you are curious
or out of inquisitiveness, the prophet said, your
prayer will not be accepted for forty days.
Then you have shirk al-khafi, these are
different names, shirk al-khafi, the hidden shirk,
which is the showing of riyadh.
Then you have shirk al-i'tiqad, shirk regarding
the belief, shirk in the belief or in
the doctrine, doctrinal shirk, and that is to
believe that other than Allah can create, provide,
give life, give children, as many of those
great worshippers.
If a woman wants to have a child,
instead of asking Allah, she goes to the
tomb of the waleed, the tomb of the
waleed.
And I'm going to mention a story so
that if there are children around, tell them
to leave.
What is happening around these tombs.
These tombs they have people who, because when
you go and visit these tombs of muslims,
you see a shape, a box, where people
they put money.
And if you go on the net and
you see the amount of money, millions and
millions.
So there are people living on that.
They don't care, you commit shirk, you go
to *, they don't care.
Business for them.
So when a woman goes, I hope that
the children are gone, to the tomb.
So one of those criminals who is working
there, and he hears this woman, he is
supplicating and crying to Allah, sorry to the
saint, oh saint so and so, I want
to have a child.
He tells her, okay fine, the waleed heard
you, and now take this piece of cloth
and go home and place it on your
private part.
By the blessing of the waleed, you will
conceive.
And guess what?
This criminal masturbated on that piece of cloth.
So it is zina, but come upright and
covered by such tricks.
And the poor lady goes, places the piece
of cloth, and she conceives.
And she thinks it is because of the
waleed.
She doesn't know that she committed zina, without
knowing.
This is what is happening.
Another type of shirk, which is called shirk
of actions, or shirk al amali, practical shirk,
shirk related to our practices, our own actions.
For example, you slaughter animals at the tomb,
offering sacrifices to other than Allah, or vowing
and making nadr, shirk al lafdi, oral shirk,
taking an oath in other than Allah's name,
or attributes.
So this is shirk, an oral, you said
it, you talked about it.
So it is an oral shirk, shirk al
lafdi, to swear in other than Allah's name,
taking an oath in other than Allah's name
or attributes.
Or to say, I count on Allah and
you, I count on Allah and you, so
you use the conjunction, and, instead of saying,
then you, thumma.
So this is shirk.
I rely on Allah and you, or, this
happened because of Allah, and so and so.
So this is shirk.
There is also shirk al tashri'ah, shirk
al tashri'ah.
So the previous one, which is the oral
shirk, there are different forms of it, different.
When the man came to the Prophet ﷺ
and he said, masha'Allahu wa shi'ta.
The Prophet ﷺ said, aj'altami min Allahi
nidda.
So the man said, what Allah wills and
what you will, he said, you made me
equal to Allah?
Say what Allah wills alone.
The Prophet ﷺ did not tolerate the choice
of choosing the wrong conjunction, connector, because
Allah's will.
Nothing happens in this kingdom without His will.
If He doesn't will it to happen, nothing
will happen.
Your will will not take place if Allah
doesn't will it.
Masha'Allahu kaan wa ma lam yasha lam
liqas.
Whatever Allah wills takes place, will happen.
And what He doesn't will, will never happen.
Whatever He decreed, subhanAllah, is going to pass.
So he said, aj'altami min Allahi nidda.
You made me equal to Allah?
Say what Allah wills alone.
He heard also, one day the Prophet ﷺ
and a preacher, khatib, he is saying, wa
man yuta'illaha wa rasulahu, wa man ya'sihima
wa qad ghawa.
He heard this preacher saying, whoever obeys Allah
and His Messenger and is guided, and then
he said, and whoever disobeys both of them,
he will be misled.
And he made a mistake and he said,
wa man ya'sihima.
So he used one verb for Allah and
His Prophet.
Instead of saying, and whoever disobeys Allah, and
whoever disobeys His Messenger, now he said, he
used one verb, wa man ya'sihima.
The Prophet ﷺ commented and said, bi'ista
khatibal qawmi.
What a horrible preacher is this.
He did not tolerate that.
What if he hears today, the major shirk,
the clear shirk, that some Muslims are doing.
Then shirk of tashriyat.
My dear brothers and sisters, Allah runs His
kingdom according to His divine wisdom.
He runs His kingdom the way He wants
it to be run, out of His love,
out of His mercy.
He told His servants how to worship Him
and how to run their lives according to
the way that brings them closer to Him
and makes Him happy.
So that's why He sent down the laws,
the shari'ah.
So each messenger came with shari'ah, law.
And the final shari'ah, the law, is
the Islam, the shari'at al-Islam, which
is applicable for all places and times.
And the Islamic law addresses all the problems,
all problems of mankind.
And He asked us just to follow what
He made for us.
So who makes halal and haram?
Who makes things lawful or unlawful?
Allah.
Not us.
It's not our idea.
Because we don't know.
Our knowledge is limited.
But what happened to the Muslim ummah?
They followed the non-Muslims.
The non-Muslims, they don't have this divine
guidance.
They don't have it.
Don't you know that Napoleon Bonaparte, when he
invaded Egypt, he took the
code, the family code, the law regarding the
families and things, with him.
And he applied it there.
So many articles and many issues in the
French law is taken from the Maliki madhhab.
This is a fact.
They didn't have guidance.
Yet, Muslims, they followed those who did not
have any guidance.
And they removed the law of Allah and
substituted it with a law made by man.
This is a major shift.
Whoever does that, this is a major shift.
To remove the law of Allah, the divine
law of Allah, and replace it with the
law of man.
A human being who is limited in everything,
he doesn't know what will happen tomorrow.
Not what will happen after a few years.
Tomorrow he doesn't know.
That's why the human legislation or the man
-made law is full of defects and flaws
and loopholes.
That's why they have to keep patching it,
reforming it.
But the law of Allah is free from
any defect.
Because Allah...
Doesn't He know who created?
Of course, better.
Allah knows.
And He is Latif, and He is Khabir.
He is so kind, He is so subtle.
Khabir, He is aware of everything.
He knows the minute details.
So this is shirk of legislation.
No one has the right to legislate except
Allah.
Allah is the one who makes things lawful
or unlawful.
So Allah s.w.t. is saying in
surat ash-shura, ayah 21, This
is a question.
Or do they have partners with Allah?
Yeah, okay.
So those partners, they tell them, okay, you
can do that.
So those partners, they claim they have with
Allah, who has instituted for them a religion
which Allah has not ordained.
Of course, Allah does not have any partner.
So then, why you have made partners with
Allah?
Why?
Why have you accepted man-made law?
So those legislators that you have accepted, what
they have made, you made them partners with
Allah.
You made them partners with Allah.
And this is a day of shirk.
This is riddah.
This is apostasy.
Or do they have partners with Allah?
Who have instituted for them a deal, way
of life, which Allah has not ordained.
Then another type of shirk also, the shirk
of mahabba, shirkul mahabba.
wa min an-nasi man yattakhidhu min duni
Allahi an-dada, yuhibbunahum kuhubdillahi, alladhina amanu yuhibbunahum
kuhubdillahi, surat al-baqarah, ayah 165.
wa min an-nasi man yattakhidhu min duni
Allahi an-dada, still there are some who
take others as Allah's equal, they love them
as they should love Allah.
yuhibbunahum kuhubdillahi, alladhina amanu yuhibbunahum kuhubdillahi, but the
true believers love Allah even more.
So this is shirk of mahabba, shirk of
love.
Then there is another type of shirk, shirkul
khawf, shirk regarding fear and remorse, and returning
to Allah.
So the fear can be shirk if you
fear other than Allah.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in surah
Ali Imran, ayah 135, innama zalikumu ash-shaytanu
yukhawwusu awliya'ah.
alatakhawfuhumu khawfun in kuntu mu'mineen.
The shaitan comes to you and tries to
fill your heart with the fear of his
allies.
Oh don't, they have this power, they have
this, they have this.
No, the believers they don't fear anyone.
The believers they know Allah, that who has
everything in his hand.
That warning was only from shaitan trying to
prompt you to fear his followers.
So he is trying to make his followers
greater in your eyes, to make you fear
his followers.
So Allah said no, don't do that.
alatakhawfuhumu khawfun in kuntu mu'mineen.
So do not fear them, fear me if
you are true believers.
Don't fear anyone.
And everyone knows himself and herself.
Do you have this fear in your heart?
You fear the human beings more than Allah?
This is shirk.
Human beings can't do nothing.
Everything is in Allah's hand.
And Allah commands us and tells us in
surat al Imran If
you have sabr, If you have patience, And
fear me, Sabr and taqwa, two things Allah
wants from us.
They are conspiracy, they are plotting, they are
planning.
Can not harm you the least.
Can do nothing.
wa yamkuroon wa yamkuru Allah, wa Allah khairu
al makiri.
They plot, they plot.
And Allah plans.
And Allah is the best of the planners.
wa la yahiqul makroos sayyoo illa bi ahlahi.
The evil plotting will fall upon the plotters
themselves.
Will encircle them.
It will backfire.
Because Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will fire
all their plots.
The problem is we don't have that.
So iman, the hearts are not free from
these remnants and traces of shirk.
That's why the hearts tremble.
But if the hearts are full of reliance
upon Allah, And tawheed, the heart will remain.
As Sayyidina Abu Huraira said, the heart is
the king.
And the rest of the organs are its
soldiers.
Subordinate soldiers.
So if the king is calm, everything is
calm.
So this is another form of shirk.
Also there is another form of shirk.
Which is called shirk al-faha.
Shirk al-faha.
Shirk al-faha.
Shirk of obedience.
To obey human beings.
And this is in surah at-Tawbah, ayah
31.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says, They
have taken their rabbis and monks as well
as the Messiah, son of Mary, as lords
besides Allah.
Even though they were commanded to worship none
but Allah.
One God.
Ilahan wahidah.
There is no God worthy of worship except
Him.
Glorified is He above what they associate with
Him.
When Adi ibn Hakim, may Allah be pleased
with him, who happened to be Christians before.
He heard the Prophet, peace be upon him,
reading this ayah.
That means Jews and Christians.
Their rabbis.
Ahbar is the plural form of habr.
Habr means scholar.
And their monks.
He said, O Prophet of Allah, we did
not take them as lords besides Allah.
So Adi understood that taking them as lords,
worshipping them, prostrating before them, etc.
So the Prophet, peace be upon him, explained
to him.
And he asked him, Didn't they forbid what
Allah forbade?
And they forbade what Allah forbade.
And you followed them and were pleased with
that?
He said, No.
He said, That is their habr.
He said, the Prophet, peace be upon him,
Didn't they, the monks and the rabbis, Didn't
they make the unlawful lawful and the lawful
unlawful?
And you followed them?
He said, Yes.
He said, That's how you took them as
lords.
When in reality, they were commanded to worship
none but one Ilah.
Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
La ilaha illahu.
There is no deity worthy of worship except
Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
And to be glorified is he above what
they associate.
So my dear brothers and sisters, this brings
us to the end of this beautiful booklet
of Sheikh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab.
The fourth principle of Sheikh.
May Allah reward the Sheikh immensely.
Elevate his status in Jannatul Naeem.
Grant him to be in the company of
the Prophet and his companions.
And may Allah bless his progeny.
Ameen.
And may Allah keep us steadfast on the
Tawheed.
Following the footsteps of the companions of the
Prophet.
And may Allah subhana wa ta'ala make
the last word we breathe and we utter
is the Kalima of the Tawheed.
Ameen.
And may Allah subhana wa ta'ala keep
us remaining steadfast on this beautiful Deen.
Till we meet Allah Azza wa Jal and
He is pleased with all of us.
Ameen.
And may Allah subhana wa ta'ala reward
all of you.
My dear brothers and sisters immensely for your
patience and attendance.
Barakallahu feekum.
Jazakumullahu khayra.
Wassalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
Barakallahu khayr.
Fadilatul sheikh.
Sheikh Salim.
Brothers and sisters.
We've as the sheikh mentioned come to the
end of one of the two texts that
we have been studying.
And in relation to today's class and today's
text.
Insha'Allah from next week we will begin
a new text.
Sheikh would you like to mention which text
it will be insha'Allah and a little
about the text that it covers insha'Allah.
Insha'Allah the name of the text Kashf
al Shubuhat.
Kashf al Shubuhat.
The removal of doubts.
By the author Rahim Allah Ta'ala.
And it is a beautiful book.
So be serious.
Okay.
Take notes.
And that's how you should accumulate and acquire
the ilm.
Insha'Allah.
Jazakallahu khayr.
Insha'Allah.
So from next week we will be starting
the text Kashf al Shubuhat.
Insha'Allah.
Alhamdulillah.
We ask Allah.
We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to
bless the Honorable Sheikh.
For dedicating this time and completing our first
text under the Sheikh.
We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to
preserve him and to keep him in good
health insha'Allah.
And that we may benefit further from the
Sheikh insha'Allah.
So as mentioned from next week we will
be starting a new text.
Please do invite other brothers and sisters.
Everybody is welcome insha'Allah.
And be prepared for that text.
We will try to provide you a copy
of the text itself.
Now we will take some question and answers.
Insha'Allah Sheikh.
Insha'Allah.
All right.
So we have a few hands raised already
and we have some written questions.
We will take your questions shortly.
Let us begin with Ambreen Niaz.
Please keep your questions short and to the
point.
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu Sheikh.
Wa alaikumussalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
Jazakallah khair for all your efforts.
May Allah ta'ala increase you in goodness
and grant you the best in dunya and
in akhira.
Ameen.
I have three questions actually if I may.
My first question is.
Is it.
One by one.
Yeah.
Insha'Allah.
Number one.
Is it major shirk to make halal what
Allah has made haram?
The answer is yes.
Major shirk.
Okay.
Question two.
Is it shirk to praise the one who
makes halal what Allah has made haram?
To praise?
Yeah.
If we praise or we admire someone.
Who is making halal what Allah has made
haram.
So let me just ask you.
Someone who legislated?
Yes.
So you praise the legislator?
Yes.
Because he replaced the Allah's law?
Yes.
Theoretically if one does that.
Is that shirk?
Absolutely yes.
Because you accept what this person did.
But what if you're just praising him for
some other good things that he's doing?
Then the question is different.
Okay.
But he is.
But he is changing the law of Allah.
He is replacing.
That's different.
Because then you are praising some specific act.
Specific act.
For example.
We know.
Shaytan.
Is going to *.
And his followers going to *.
And you remember you know the hadith of
the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam.
That Abu Huraira.
The Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam told him.
There is pile of dates.
Of the Sadaqah.
So I want you to guard this pile
of dates at night.
Against the thieves.
And he caught a man stealing.
So Abu Huraira said I will take you
to the Prophet.
He said please.
I have poor children etc.
I will not do it again.
So he felt pity for him and he
released him.
The second day he told the Prophet and
the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam said no.
He is a liar.
He is a liar.
And he will come back.
So he waited for him the second night.
And it happened.
And he did the same thing.
And he released and the Prophet salallahu alayhi
wa sallam told him he will come.
The third night he said I will not
let you go.
He said listen Abu Huraira.
Let me go but I will teach you
something.
When you want to go to sleep read
Ayatul Kursi and no shaytan will come close
to you.
And he let him go.
And he informed the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa
sallam and the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam
said did you know whom you were talking
to and had this conversation all these three
nights.
He said that is shaytan.
But here Sadaqah kahwa huwa qadoob.
Regarding this.
He is shaytan.
Going to *.
But here regarding this particular issue Ayatul Kursi
Sadaqah kahwa huwa qadoob.
He has told you the truth.
So the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam did
not say oh Abu Huraira don't accept what
he said because he is shaytan.
He said no.
Here he told you the truth.
He told you the truth.
So if this person mentions something particularly though
he believes that this guy has nothing to
do with Islam.
However this particular thing that he said and
of course we should not phrase this if
it is in public and if it is
going to be misunderstood.
You have to be careful.
Clear?
Yes.
Yes.
Absolutely.
Fantastic.
Jazakallah khair.
Question number three please.
Is it permissible to include our non-Muslim
family and friends in our dua for guidance
when we recite Surah Al-Fatiha in prayer?
What do you mean reciting Surah Al-Fatiha
in prayer?
I mean you know when we are praying
Surah Al-Fatiha and when we are saying
ihdina sirat al-mustaqeem.
Is it fine if I keep in the
back of my mind my family who are
not Muslim and I'm asking Allah to guide
us all?
Because you see in Surah Al-Fatiha we
understand it.
Because then you are saying oh Allah save
us from the path of those who put
upon themselves your wrath and those who went
astray.
And most of the people are from those
who went astray.
You understand?
But outside the salah you can't pray for
your family, you can't pray for the Muslims
and you pray for the non-Muslims as
well.
And even inside the salah there is no
harm in your for example in your sujood
to pray for your family.
The Prophet Muhammad spent one night praying for
the Muslims and he was crying, crying, praying
for them, for their didaya, for their guidance.
Is this clear to you?
If you can just confirm, so Surah Al
-Fatiha we cannot include them but otherwise we
can.
You are saying you have something in mind,
oh Allah guide us to the straight path
and you have in mind that oh Allah
guide also my family to the straight path.
That's fine but what is important is that
you verbalize it when you are making du
'a for them.
In your sujood, oh Allah guide my mother
to Islam, oh Allah guide my father to
Islam.
In your sujood.
Okay, fantastic.
Jazakallah khair.
This was very helpful.
Barakallah fiqh.
Okay inshallah.
Let's take a written question.
The first question that came in written was,
salam alaikum sheikh.
My question is can you explain the difference
between ulama, da'is and students of knowledge?
Maybe I can add to that sheikh a
little bit.
Nowadays we have people who you can barely
call students of knowledge using titles such as
sheikh and ustad and etc.
How do we view these people and what
is the advice for such people?
Alhamdulillah, we are all okay because the ulama
are really something different.
And you knew, subhanallah, sheikh Nasser al-Din
al-Albani rahimallah, in one of his circles
was asked about the ulama.
And he said, the questioner said, do you
see any alim?
He said, the sheikh raised the question, he
said, you.
He said, no, no, no, I am not
alim, I am tuwaylib, which is this diminutive
form in Arabic.
Small, small students of knowledge.
If that is not so small, small students,
what are we?
We are nothing.
You have to understand this my dear brothers
and sisters.
So the ulama, they also spend their lifetime,
and may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala put
barakah in their life.
Yes, I just received a message, within two
weeks three of the scholars passed away.
And none of us know them, many of
us, big scholars.
The muhaddith al-ithyubi rahimallah ta'ala in
Mecca, Dar al-Hadeed.
Scholars are leaving us, and each one of
them leaves a humongous, huge vacuum behind.
Those, they spent their prime youth sitting on
their knees in the study circles.
Spent their lifetime between the books, yakhnas al
-deen al-bani rahimallah, more than 50 years
between the manuscripts of hadith.
So much so, the moment he sees the
manuscripts, he says, this is the handwriting of
so and so.
One of his students, he brought him a
manuscript, the moment he saw it, oh, he
says, this is the handwriting of al-mizzi.
He would enter the maqtaba al-zahiriya in
Damascus, which is full of manuscripts.
He comes before the librarian himself, and he
leaves after the librarian.
So the administration decided to give him a
key of the library.
His student and my shaykh, shaykh Ali Khashan
rahimallah ta'ala, who passed away in Qatar
while praying tahajjud rahimallah ta'ala.
He said, I would visit the shaykh at
the end of the day, and I found
him totally absorbed reading the manuscripts.
He forgets that he didn't take his lunch.
So he would tell his student, shaykh Ali,
can you bring me anything?
I feel hungry.
Subhanallah.
Go on YouTube and see his mitzvah.
He was repairing the clocks and watches.
And you see the shaykh standing in his
shop and the books around him.
Those adna ulama, my dear brothers, who spend
their life learning the deen and acquiring the
knowledge, may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, with
the barakah and the life of the remaining
ones.
So if you have a alim in your
area, please go to him.
Sit in his circle.
He doesn't have circles.
Beg him, beg him, say, shaykh I want
to be your student.
Before he departs this life.
And his knowledge goes with him.
Those adna ulama.
Ilm, it is a long process.
It doesn't come overnight.
That's why the alim when you sit in
his circle, you are not taking only knowledge.
You take manners, you take hikmah, you learn
many things.
Many things.
The mother of Imam Malik, rahimahullah ta'ala,
when he was very young, she tied the
turban on his head.
She dressed him and she told him, go
to Rabi'ah.
Learn from Rabi'ah.
And I want you, khud min samtihi qabla
ilmihi, learn from his manners before anything else.
Before his knowledge.
That's why many of the students of knowledge
today, they don't have that, these manners.
Why?
They did not study and sit in the
circles of the ulama.
Because when you are in the circle of
the shaykh, he disciplines you.
So you learn manners.
And they keep you to realize your size,
your limits.
I remember, shaykh al-Nazim, rahimahullah, was asked
a question and then he answered.
And one of the students said, but shaykh
al-Nabawi says this.
He shouted at him.
He said, don't say that.
Never.
I answered.
And they gave you my opinion.
What I believe is the haq.
So never.
This is not the adab to say so
and so says this in the circle of
the shaykh.
So that's why you can easily find out
if these students of knowledge studied under the
mashayikh or just through the books.
You can easily find out.
So, the scholars, the ulama, then the dua,
a da'i, a caller.
Any Muslim is a caller.
If he calls, do what he knows.
So, this is what we are going to
learn.
To be a da'i, you need to
have the knowledge, then you practice the knowledge,
then you call others, then you remain patient.
And the students of knowledge, you will remain
seeking the knowledge until you die.
And when you read in the biographies of
the summa, and many of the muhaddithin, some
of them they were dying, one of them
was breathing his last, and then he heard
about the hadith and he said, bring me
a piece of paper and pen, I want
to write it.
So you will seek the knowledge from the
cradle till the grave.
And you will never call yourself alim, you
will never call yourself that.
Because every day you learn.
No one knows everything.
wa ma otitum minal ilmu illa qaleela Little
of knowledge you have achieved or got, little.
So the students of knowledge, it has to
be down to earth, humble.
And he seeks the knowledge not to become
a scholar, so people call him a scholar.
His first thing, his niyyah, is to get
close to Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
And to get rid of his own jahal,
his own ignorance.
So leave all these titles away.
People they call you Sheikh, Allama, and we
have to rename you.
No, our real size, our real magnitude.
Yes, they are students of knowledge and they
are advanced students of knowledge.
May Allah subhana wa ta'ala bless them
and give them the ikhlas and the tawfiq.
But they are not ulamas, you cannot call
them scholars.
But you need to benefit and learn from
them.
Because they have links with the ulamas and
they communicate with the ulamas.
And so they make it easy for you.
Because it is not easy for you to
reach the scholars, maybe.
So they, like the link, and what they
have learnt they share it with you, like
what I am doing with you.
I am sharing what I have learnt.
And I am learning, everyday I am learning.
And we are learning and helping each other.
So talib al ilm is like that.
He is learning, teaching, sharing the knowledge that
he has learnt.
And he would continue learning, learning, until he
or she died.
And the famous saying said, and attributed to
Sayyidina Ali r.a. If you say, I
know, I know everything, I am a scholar.
Then you become ignorant.
You become ignorant.
And remember, and I conclude that This is
shibir, span.
So the ulamas they say, knowledge, al ilm,
three spans, three stages.
So the first span, when you start learning,
phase one.
Phase one is very risky, very dangerous.
Because you feel that you, you know everything.
And anyone else is ignorant, you know everything.
So if you remain lingering and staying in
this phase, you will be ruined.
If you advance and enter phase two, you
start to cool down.
Because now you start to realize, well, knowledge
is not what I thought it is, it
is an ocean.
If you advance and enter the third span,
phase three.
You start to discover your reality, your ignorance.
You discover yourself, I know nothing.
I know nothing.
That's what you will discover.
Not because you just, you finish sharia college
or you got your Ph.D. in any
discipline.
That will not make you allama.
The Ph.D. is only now, now is
the beginning.
It is now the beginning of the ilm.
Because now, you have the tools with you.
So you can read and understand what the
ulama said.
And why they differed on this particular matter.
May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala guide all
of us, protect our ulama.
And bless the dua and bless the talabatul
ilm and mutbaraka.
And we need to help each other, respect
each other, and pray and make dua for
our mashayikh.
For the dua and for talabatul ilm.
May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala guide all
of them.
Jazakallah khair shaykh, that was very clear.
We go to the next question here.
Assalamu alaikum, my question is, is sihr real?
Yes, the sihr is real, yes.
Sihr is real.
And they can't harm no one by the
sihr, except by Allah's leave.
So it is real, yes.
Ok, inshallah.
We'll take the next question.
We'll take a verbal question before we continue
with the written ones.
Mohammed Salman, go ahead please.
Assalamu alaikum shaykh.
Wa alaikum salam wa rahmatullah.
I have a follow-up question concerning the
issue of backbiting that was asked during our
last class.
So I want to know, if we know
the unbelievers, they are condemned to Jahannam during
the Day of Judgment.
So I want to know if one backbites
about an unbeliever and the person is condemned
to hellfire.
And from what you said in the last
class, you said anybody in which someone backbites
about him is going to claim some of
the deeds, the good deeds of that person
on the Day of Judgment.
If those good deeds are not going to
be beneficial to the unbeliever, in the end
the unbeliever will go to hellfire.
Do they still have claims over our good
deeds?
Firstly.
Then secondly, some of our leaders, maybe our
political leaders, when they do something that is
wrong or about governance generally, and you criticize
them, maybe during discussion with a brother, is
this regarded as backbiting as well?
And lastly, maybe during a sport, you like
a particular sport, maybe football, and a particular
player is not playing well, and you criticize
that player.
Is that regarded as backbiting as well?
Jazakallah khair.
Okay.
Alhamdulillah.
The ghiba, which is backbiting, which is a
major sin, and the Muslims should avoid it.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, la
yadkhulil jannah fattah.
One who backbites or slanders will not enter
the Jannah.
So it is a major sin.
And one should fear Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala.
However, there are cases, they don't fall under
ghiba.
There are cases, they don't fall under the
ghiba.
And I explained this before, but there is
no harm in me mentioning that.
Al-qadhu laysa bi ghibatin fi sittatin.
It is not ghiba.
Okay, six matters, six issues.
Six exemptions or exceptions.
Al-qadhu laysa bi ghibatin fi sittatin.
Number one, mutadallimin.
Mutadallimin.
So these are six exceptions.
Al-qadhu laysa bi ghibatin fi sittatin mutadallin.
Someone wronged you.
Someone robbed you.
Someone took your property.
Someone took your money.
So you went to the court and you
filed a case.
And of course you have to mention the
name of the one who wronged you.
So this is not ghiba.
Otherwise people will not get their rights.
So this is an exception.
Because you are mazloom.
Any form of oppression.
You are oppressed.
So now you complain against the oppressor.
This is not ghiba at all.
Mutadallim.
Second thing, mutadallimin.
Wa muarrif.
You define.
You make someone known.
Some people are known only by their nicknames.
Not by their real names.
Though they hate their nicknames.
But if you mention them by their name.
No one will recognize them.
But the moment you mention the nickname.
They say oh so and so.
This is his house.
For example Imam Al-Ahmad.
Which means the one with weak sight.
He didn't like that.
People to call him Al-Ahmad.
But the scholars of Hadith they didn't listen
to him.
Because he's known by that.
He's known.
So this is not ghiba.
But hulaysa al-ghibat is mutadallimin.
Wa muarridin.
Wa muhaddiri.
If you warn against the evil of someone.
That's why.
We have the science of jarhan ta'deer.
Where the scholars of Hadith they mention.
The weak narrators, the fabricators, the wadda'oon.
They mention their names and their father's names.
Because they are warning against this narrator.
That you should not consider him as a
reliable one.
When he is not.
Or someone who is spreading evil.
So you warn the people.
Don't listen to this sheikh.
Don't attend his circle.
Because he will mislead you.
So mentioning his name is not ghiba.
Wa muhaddiri.
Wa limujhirin fisqa.
Someone who is spreading immorality.
Publicizing immorality.
Calling the youth to the haram.
So he is spreading the fisq.
The wickedness.
Immorality.
So mentioning his name or her name is
not ghiba.
Wa limujhirin fisqa.
And the fifth one.
Wa mustaftin.
Someone is seeking fatwa.
Like him.
He came to the Prophet of Allah.
Seeking fatwa.
Verdict.
Is this halal or haram?
He said O Prophet of Allah.
Aba Sufyan is a shaheeh man.
Abu Sufyan has tight hands.
He doesn't give me what is enough for
me and my children.
Is it ok if I take from his
money without him knowing?
And the Prophet of Allah said yes.
Take what is sufficient for you and your
children.
Of course.
Abu Sufyan.
Who would not laugh and like his wife
to mention his name.
And the Prophet of Allah did not say
to him.
Fear Allah you are making ghiba.
No.
This is not ghiba.
Because he is seeking fatwa.
Wa mustaftin waman.
The last one.
Someone is seeking help.
To help him.
To remove evil.
Someone comes to you and says.
Akhi.
This flat next to us.
There are people who are smoking hashish.
So I want to go and report them
to the police.
So I need you to come and be
a witness with me.
So this is not ghiba.
To mention the name of the one who
has that flat.
So there are exceptions.
Whether this one is a kafir or he
is a muslim.
If they fall under this category.
The same thing about the fatwa prayer.
You are just talking about the facts.
That his performance was not ok.
And you are talking to athletes.
Ok.
Or you are the trainer.
And you are mentioning that.
His performance was not to the expectation.
That doesn't fall under the ghiba.
So if there is no benefit at all.
And doesn't fall under this category.
A muslim should stay away.
And know that ghiba is haram.
Is this clear to you Akhi?
It is clear.
Ok.
Let's take a written question.
Before we come to Qasumba.
Assalamu alaikum.
Jazakallah khair sheikh for the elaborate explanations.
Aside from the three types of shirk.
Based on the classes of tawhid.
All other classification of shirk mentioned.
Are they the subcategories?
Or how can we classify them?
Just a little bit confused on this.
No no no.
They will fall under the three.
But only this is for details.
That's it.
For example.
The shirk al-tashriya is major shirk.
Ok.
Shirk al-muhabba if you love them more
than Allah.
This will fall under the major shirk.
So you can.
If you take them one by one.
You can know where they will go.
You can insert them under.
Either they will be minor or minor.
Of course the hidden is standing alone.
Which is the real.
Is this clear to the questioner now?
Yes inshallah clear sheikh.
Ok.
The next question I'll ask.
Starting by salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
I missed the ayah of surat al-tawbah.
Can you please repeat what the ayah was?
Ok.
This is ayah 31.
If you are talking about the.
It is 31.
Ok inshallah.
And second question.
I read somewhere that Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr.
Was among the men who raided the house
of Uthman radiallahu anhu.
Is this true?
For all the knowledge that you have impacted
on us.
May Allah accept it from you and us
all.
Ameen.
Yeah that's mentioned in the books.
And he is not a sahabi.
He is not a sahabi.
And he was killed in Egypt.
He was killed in Egypt and his sister
Aisha.
She grieved a lot over his death.
Next.
The next question.
Will shirk ever be forgiven?
Again.
Will shirk ever be forgiven?
Shirk will be forgiven if one repents it.
Even the major shirk.
If someone repented before his death or half
death.
Yes.
All the sins Allah forgives.
Including the shirk.
Say O My servants.
Do not despair of Allah's mercy.
Allah forgives all sins.
He is the most merciful.
So.
Say O My servants.
Those who trespassed the limits.
And wronged themselves.
To the extreme.
They wronged themselves.
Severely.
They committed israf.
They went to the extreme.
In sinning.
Do not despair of Allah's mercy.
Allah will forgive all the sins.
Including the shirk.
So if someone repents.
Alhamdulillah.
But if one dies.
While committing shirk.
Major shirk.
That is what Allah says.
Allah does not forgive.
Associating partners with Him.
And He forgives.
Whatever is missed on that.
Allah will make Jannah for him haram.
And his abode will be the hellfire.
And for the wrongdoers there will not be
anyone to help.
Is this clear?
Inshallah that is clear sheikh.
Brother Abdulrahman.
Please raise your hand.
And ask the question verbally.
Because your written question is not coming out
clear.
There is a lot of English typos.
Alright.
The next question we have here is.
Assalamu alaikum.
Is it a sunnah to give adhan in
the newborn baby's ears?
Well the practice.
When we check the narration.
And especially the Iqama.
The narration is weak.
But when we see the practice.
Of the Muslims.
From Sahaba till nowadays.
That.
The Muslims they make adhan.
So they say so.
You make the first thing the child hears.
Is the word of the Tawheed.
So there is no harm inshallah.
And that is what Ibn Qayyim mentioned.
In his beautiful book.
I think it is there in English also.
But the hadith of the Iqama is very
weak hadith.
Is this clear to the question?
Okay.
I will take.
The next question.
Please ask your question.
Assalamu alaikum.
Thank you very much.
For the lectures and the sessions.
May Allah bless you.
I have a question.
Regarding the Quran.
And memorizing the Quran.
When I am trying to study the Tawheed.
We have many references from the Quran.
What should be the suggestion?
To memorize the whole Quran first.
Then study the rest.
Will it be beneficial?
Because.
I tried to memorize the Quran.
But in some.
I stopped.
But somehow I could not make it.
Sometimes it is very hard for me.
If you can advise.
In this regard.
No doubt.
Memorizing the Quran.
Is the best thing.
It will help you.
To know all the different.
Branches of knowledge.
But I don't know.
How old are you?
I am 25 years old.
Right now.
Okay.
And you started memorizing before.
So if you started, carry on.
Carry on.
But you should follow.
I mean a system.
Follow a system.
So you decide.
And then you can ask the.
The Mashayikh.
Or the scholars.
Mashayikh who are teaching the Quran.
Okay.
Their advice.
Whether to memorize.
10 ayat.
As the Sahaba used to do.
Only 10.
You memorize them.
And understand them.
Then you move to the next.
10 ayat.
And then you.
Revise your.
Now 20.
Then there will be 30.
Because the Quran.
Is easy to memorize it.
And it is very easy to forget it.
If you don't keep.
Revising all the time.
So if you started.
Continue.
Inshallah.
And Allah will make it easy for you.
So don't give up.
But decide.
How much you should memorize.
If you find for example.
One thing too much for you.
Whatever you decide.
You know yourself.
But stick to it.
Is this clear to you?
Yes.
Jazakallah khair.
Okay.
Let's move to the next question.
Brother.
Abdul Rahman.
Please ask your question.
Assalamu alaikum.
May Allah have mercy on you.
My question is that.
Is asking help for persons.
Means somebody has done.
Injustice to the person.
By removing him.
From his job.
If the person is asking him.
Pleading him in front of him.
Please don't do this one.
So if this comes under the shirk.
He has to complain to Allah.
Regarding the injusticeness.
The person who has done to him.
I didn't get the question clearly.
You are saying.
Asking help from someone.
Yes.
You are asking help from someone.
For this.
Help me.
For injusticeness.
What he has done to me.
So you are asking.
For example.
Because you see.
They are asking help.
Yes.
So you are asking someone.
To help you against somebody.
Someone else who has wronged you.
No.
The same person who has wronged to me.
I am asking to him.
Please don't do this one.
Is it ok to ask him.
Or I have to complain to Allah.
About his injusticeness.
So what he has done.
The injustice with me.
I have to complain to him.
Or I have to request him.
Or I have to complain to Allah.
Ok.
Alhamdulillah.
Because.
And he is a Muslim?
Yes he is a Muslim.
Ok.
So here you are out of fear of
Allah.
You don't want Allah to punish him.
So you are telling him.
Fear Allah.
What you are doing to me is wrong.
Ok.
And this is injustice.
This is injustice.
This is dhulm.
And Allah hates dhulm.
Allah hates injustice.
So fear Allah regarding me.
Don't do this.
Because you will regret it.
Because we will meet Allah.
And because I am a Muslim.
And you are a Muslim.
And I don't want.
To get your hasanat on the day of
resurrection.
So please.
Stop mistreating me.
Please.
So this is a piece of advice.
You have to give to him.
If he is arrogant.
And he doesn't listen.
And he continues.
Doing dhulm.
And treating you unjustly.
Then you can raise your hands to Allah.
And you need also to stop him.
Because there is a system.
Ok.
You can complain against him.
But first of all.
You give him nasiha.
And tell him to fear Allah.
So you remind him about Allah.
Is it clear to you now?
Yes.
If the higher authority.
If I complain to higher authority.
If they are also not.
In the stage of understanding.
What he has done.
So I have to raise my hand to
Allah.
And I can make a curse on him.
Like that you are telling.
You don't make curse.
You say just O Allah.
I have been wrong.
And you know what has happened to me.
Ok.
So save me from his evil.
Ok.
And treat him.
According to your justice.
That's enough.
No need to curse him.
Or curse his family or his children.
Nothing like that.
Is this clear?
Yes.
Jazakallah khair.
Ok.
Ok let's take the next question.
Inshallah.
Barakallahu feek Sheikh.
For your time and sharing your knowledge.
Ameen.
May Allah increase your knowledge.
Preserve your health.
And reward you in the dunya and akhir.
Ameen.
Sheikh.
The question I would like to ask is.
Is weather forecast.
Or mobile health application.
Some type of shirk.
As it deals with future or unseen things.
Jazakallah khair.
Repeat the question please.
Is weather forecast.
When you predict the weather.
That tomorrow it will be.
Sunny and rainy etc.
And also.
Mobile applications.
Applications which.
Give you health.
Reports.
Type of shirk.
Are they type of shirk.
Because they are dealing with future unseen.
Predictions and so on.
No no.
They don't fall there.
Because weather forecast.
Ok.
This is based on a model.
They have acquired information and data.
Of a long period of time.
Then this model was developed.
And it is a prediction.
Based on.
Tangible information.
And most of the time.
They are accurate.
So it doesn't fall under any.
Under the shirk.
No it's not shirk.
That's why.
You listen to the news.
About the weather forecast.
And say.
It will rain at this time.
Because.
They see the clouds are moving.
And the content of the clouds.
And the conditions.
Are suitable.
But as a Muslim.
We say inshallah.
So when I'm leaving my home.
I will take my umbrella.
Ok.
Because rain is expected to fall.
So it doesn't fall there.
The same thing about.
If there is an app.
Or application.
Giving hints.
Things about.
Help.
Tips.
This is also based on.
Records and history.
So it doesn't fall there.
Is this clear to the questioner?
Inshallah it is clear sheikh.
Right.
We will go to the next question.
Inshallah.
Let's allow Kasumba to ask.
His or her question.
Kasumba.
Please unmute your mic.
Assalamu alaikum.
Wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
Wa alaikum salam.
Kasumba.
Please ask your question.
Like fast.
Yes sheikh.
Can you hear me?
Yes I can hear you.
I cannot hear you.
Okay.
Can I move to the next question.
Okay.
We will take the next question.
Inshallah.
Okay.
Assalamu alaikum.
Jazakallah khair.
For the beautiful and detailed explanation of the
booklet.
That contains very important topics.
Regarding shirk.
May Allah reward you immensely for your generosity.
In sharing some of your beneficial knowledge.
With us.
By giving us your valuable time.
And keep you safe from all the evil.
My question is the following.
I was reading the English translation.
Of the book.
Tablis Iblis.
By Imam Ibn Al-Jawzi.
And I came across a subject.
Named Nazamiya.
Of the deviant sect.
Qadariya.
Whose Aqidah.
Is as follows.
Whoever says that Allah has a thing.
Then he is a disbeliever.
I could not understand their belief.
Would you please explain.
What is the meaning of this.
And in which way.
It is wrong.
I don't know exactly.
What is mentioned there.
About this particular group.
So.
I cannot comment.
So.
If you can just.
Give me the page.
Of the book.
Or maybe it could be.
They translated it wrong.
Or something.
Then I will be able.
Inshallah.
To give you the answer.
Inshallah.
So hopefully that is clear.
You need to be more specific.
Inshallah.
And please provide your page number.
Or reference.
Where we can.
Give you a more detailed.
And clear answer.
Okay.
The next question.
I have heard.
Okay.
It is spoken mainly about the Sufis.
About the Sufis.
And how the Shaitans deceived them.
So mainly that.
The book is talking about.
Those who.
They.
They.
They want us to say.
They want us to say.
Yes go ahead.
Alright okay.
So the next question is.
I have heard people calling.
By the name of the Prophet.
When something happens.
Rather than calling upon Allah.
What is the best advice.
One can give them.
Of course to tell them.
So they are saying Ya Muhammad.
Instead of Ya Allah.
Yes.
Okay so this is of course shirk.
So then.
You have to.
Educate them.
With hikmah.
With sabr.
And explain to them.
That is why you have attended.
This small.
Course.
Of this small booklet.
So now inshallah.
So you give them the ayat.
That we have to always.
Only ask Allah.
Because he is the one.
Who can defend us.
He is the one who can protect us.
Etc.
So take it easy with them.
Because.
There are many things Muslims are doing.
And generations.
They have.
It has passed from generation to generation.
So we will have.
Opposition.
And there will be resistance.
But we should not give up.
And of course the most important thing is.
When we call the people with hikmah.
And make dua for them.
May Allah guide them.
Ameen.
Is this clear?
Inshallah this is clear sheikh.
Let's take the next question.
Assalamu alaikum.
When someone goes to the grave of their
parents.
And recites surah al fatiha.
And asks for forgiveness for them.
Can they hear it?
The answer they get.
They do not hear.
And it is not sunnah to read the
Quran in the graveyard.
It's not sunnah.
We are Muslims.
We follow our prophet.
And the prophet.
He visited the graveyard.
He buried the sahaba.
And he never read the Quran.
In the graveyard.
So to go there.
And read the fatiha or surah yaseen.
Or whatever.
It is not sunnah.
So we have to stop this.
So the prophet told us that when we
go there.
Say salamu alaikum.
And then you can pray for them.
You pray for your parents.
Oh Allah forgive them.
Elevate their status.
You make the dua whatever you want to
make.
But to go and read the fatiha.
Or sit down and read the Quran.
This is not the sunnah of the prophet.
And we have to follow the sunnah of
the prophet.
Is this clear to the questioner?
Inshallah it is clear sheikh.
We will take a few more questions.
I know we have gone over time.
Just to see which ones are important.
And maybe related to the text.
Let's take this question.
While we sift through.
Okay.
Salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
From the story of Musa alayhi salam.
And al khidr upon him.
Peace.
What is the most valuable lesson in the
story.
About the relationship between teacher and student.
Okay.
The.
Musa alayhi salam and al khidr.
Both are prophets of Allah.
And Musa alayhi salam.
We all know that in the hadith.
From Bukhari.
He was preaching.
From morning till evening.
To Bani Israel.
Then one asked him.
Who is most knowledgeable?
Is there anyone who has knowledge more than
you?
He said no.
And Musa didn't say Allah wa ala.
So Allah told him no.
There is a man who has knowledge.
Go and learn from him.
And you know.
This story.
So al khidr.
He receives wahi from Allah.
Revelation.
That's why he said.
I did not do it.
Because of my own.
Desire.
According to my own wish.
I killed the boy.
I broke the ship.
I restored the world.
All by revelation from Allah.
And actually.
The hadith tells us.
When.
They lost the fish.
And they went back.
And Musa said.
As salamu alaykum.
So al khidr.
Wa alaykum.
Wa anna bi arzik salami.
Wa anna bi arzik salami.
Is there peace in your land?
He said.
Inni Musa.
I am Musa.
Is Musa bin Israel.
Moses.
Of the children of Israel.
Then he told him.
Ya Musa.
Inni ala ilmi min Allahi la ta'lamu.
Wa inni ala ilmi min Allahi la ta
'lamu.
O Moses.
I have knowledge from Allah.
You don't know.
So both of us.
Receive revelation.
Some of the Sufis.
They say no.
Al khidr is a wali.
Is not a nabi.
And that's why they consider.
The status of the wali.
Is higher than the status of the nabi.
The Sufis.
And they say.
Al ilmi ladunni.
The knowledge.
From us.
That the Sufi can get it.
The wali will get this knowledge.
Of the unseen.
Knowledge from Allah directly.
Which is of course.
Not true.
So the ilmi ladunni.
The knowledge is from Allah.
And it was a revelation.
And the wali.
Cannot be higher than the nabi.
At all.
So here is the story.
That he told.
Al khidr.
Don't ask me any question.
Until I tell you.
But Musa.
Could not.
He was not that patient.
I wish.
That Musa.
Was more patient.
So he could have more knowledge.
From the khidr.
About their stories.
So the students.
Should be always.
In the circle.
Of the shaykh.
Should have the manners.
That's why I recommend.
All the students of knowledge.
To read.
The hilya talib al ilm.
The hilya talib al ilm.
Which is in English.
They are available by shaykh.
The hilya.
The adornment of the students of knowledge.
Read that small book.
Read it.
So you have to have adab and manners.
In the circle of the shaykh.
And with your shaykh.
Respect.
But of course you don't raise him above
his status.
You don't venerate him.
To a higher level.
He is a human being.
But you respect him.
Because of his ilm.
And the students of knowledge.
And when you are in the circle.
You sit.
Like Ibrahim sat in the circle.
In front of the prophet.
And you put your hands on your thighs.
And etc.
You have to be.
Paying attention to.
What the shaykh is saying.
Taking notes.
And when you ask questions.
You ask them politely.
And you avoid controversial questions.
To embarrass him.
In front of his students.
So when you ask him.
You ask him alone.
When you have a question.
That you are confused.
Because you need clarification.
Alone.
If you heard about an opinion.
And you need explanation.
Alone.
Not in the circle.
So there are adab and manners.
Students of knowledge.
Should exhibit and show.
In the presence of his shaykh.
Is this clear to the questioner?
Yes inshallah shaykh.
It is clear inshallah.
Inshallah.
The next question.
One of the brothers.
Is asking.
What is the cure to sihr?
Is it ruqya?
And how is ruqya performed?
It is the cure.
It is from Allah.
Allah is the one who cures.
I am the illness.
When I fall sick.
He is the one who cures me.
The prophet said.
So the one who heals.
Is Allah.
The ruqya is only a means.
And the dua is only a means.
But who cures and who heals.
Allah.
So the most important thing.
That the heart has to be attached to
Allah.
Relying upon Allah.
And this illness.
Like any other illness.
It is a test.
So whether it is a sihr.
Whether it is an evil eye.
It is a test.
And Allah.
Will nullify its effect.
So the sihr.
They have different paths.
The ruqya.
And I recommend.
To read.
One has to read.
A good book.
It is called.
As-sarim al-battar.
Al-tasaddi al-sahrat al-ashrar.
By Sheikh Waheed.
It is there.
Translated in English.
On the net.
You can download it.
It is a good book.
And it has the ruqya etc.
So the ruqya.
And reading of yourself.
And it depends on the type of sihr.
If it is for example.
The mashayikh they mention.
If someone has what is called.
Ar-rabt.
Which means he is unable.
To fulfill his.
Biological needs.
They say.
You take seven green leaves.
Of the sihr lute tree.
You crush them.
You pour water on them.
And you read the qul.
And then you take a few sips.
And the rest you wash your body with
it.
Ok.
So inshallah this will nullify.
And cancel the effect of the sihr.
And Allah knows best.
Is this clear to the questioner?
Yes inshallah.
We take the next question.
Here written.
Salam alaikum Sheikh.
Is music haram?
And how serious is this statement?
How do we seek forgiveness for this sin.
If it is haram?
It is haram.
And the one who listens to the music.
The molten brass.
Will be poured into his ears.
Or her ears.
Ok.
And it is the vibe of the shaytan.
And the music.
Kills the heart.
The music.
Listening to music.
Kills the heart.
And brings.
And cultivates in the heart.
Hypocrisy.
So one has to repent.
And quit immediately.
Listening to the music.
And the hadith.
Which is in Bukhari.
Says that the Prophet salallahu alaihi wa sallam
mentioned.
A group of my people will come.
My ummah.
So a group of my ummah.
Will come.
Not at his time.
They will come.
This is a prophecy.
They make it halal.
When it is haram.
They make it halal.
They make the prostitution.
Halal.
And now it is happening in Muslim countries.
Prostitution is legal.
The prostitutes.
They have permits.
They have permits.
And also Muslim men.
Will make the.
Natural silk halal.
When it is haram.
For them.
And they make alcohol.
Halal.
And musical instruments.
They make it halal.
When it is haram.
And our sheikh.
Has written a book.
I don't know if it is translated.
And needs to be translated.
If it is not.
The prohibition of the musical instruments.
Full of the narrations.
This much.
It is there in Arabic.
I don't know if it is translated.
Or not yet.
Into English.
So it is a sin.
And one has to repent.
And quit immediately.
Is this clear to the questioner?
Yes.
We have a lot of questions here.
And a few.
Verbal questions.
Let us take.
A few.
And conclude hopefully today.
Is that okay sheikh?
It is okay.
Alright.
Please unmute your mic.
Hello sheikh.
I asked the question.
In the written form.
About the Talbis Iblis.
The subsect name.
Is Al-Nazamiyya.
Who followed the Ibrahim.
Ibn Al-Nazam.
And it is under the sect.
Qadariyya.
And it is mentioned in the chapter 2.
Of the book.
They believe that.
Whoever says that.
Allah was a thing.
Then he is a disbeliever.
Perhaps I did not understand.
The translation.
Can you please elaborate.
How is this wrong.
Or how am I supposed to process it.
Jazakallah Khair.
Now he is talking about.
A sect of the Mu'tazila.
A deviant sect.
In the history of Islam.
Called the Mu'tazilites.
And they are the followers.
Of Al-Nazam.
And the problem with this sect.
That they.
Do not.
Approve.
Many of the attributes of Allah.
Okay.
And even the names.
The meaning of the names.
Remember.
During this course.
If you were with us.
From the beginning.
That the names of Allah.
They have meanings.
And the meaning of the name.
Is the attribute of Allah.
So here.
They are saying that.
If you say Allah is a thing.
Then you are a Kafir.
This is.
Of course it is wrong.
Because Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Is not a thing that is created.
But Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Azza wa Jal.
Has essence.
Has person.
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Allah is nothing.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Has person.
Has essence.
Has attributes.
So the Mu'tazilites.
They don't approve.
Of such attributes of Allah.
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
That's why of course.
They say the Quran.
Is not the speech of Allah.
They are saying it is something created.
Because they don't believe.
That it is an attribute of Allah.
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
We know that.
The Quran is Allah's speech.
Kalamullah.
Kalamullah.
And this is an attribute of person.
Personal attribute of Allah.
That Allah speaks.
Allah talks.
Azza wa Jal.
The Mushrik seeks your protection.
So grant him the protection.
Till he hears Allah's Kalam.
Allah's speech.
They say no no the Quran is created.
It's not the speech of Allah.
And that's why Imam Ahmad went through that
trial.
So the same here about the thing.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala He created everything.
But here Ahlul Sunnah when they talk about
this they mean and this is actually shay.
Okay.
The problem is the English language is so
poor.
The greatest shay.
The greatest thing we say in English.
Is Allah.
But is this something created?
Allah is not created.
He's the creator.
So this is one of the the the
way one of the few points where the
Mu'tazilites the Nizamiyya, the followers of the Nizam
and the group of the Mu'tazila they went
astray.
Are you following sister?
Is this clear to you?
Yes.
Alhamdulillah.
Thank you very much for the answer.
Jazakallah Khair.
Okay.
Yasmin Warij if you please unmute your mic.
Assalamu Alaikum Shaykh.
My question is what is the right way
to do istikhara?
Alhamdulillah istikhara that you take wudu and you
pray two rak'ahs.
And then you say the dua after the
salat.
And you proceed.
You don't wait and for feelings or dream,
whatever.
You pray the istikhara and you go ahead.
If Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala decides that
it is good for you it will happen.
If not, that's what Allah chose for you.
And it is the person who prays the
istikhara you pray the istikhara yourself.
You don't ask Shaykh to pray istikhara for
you or someone else.
The person himself has to pray the istikhara.
And then you proceed.
You don't wait for feelings or dream, to
see something.
And there is no harm in repeating the
istikhara.
Pray istikhara twice or three times.
Sayyidina Umar he prayed three times.
Istikhara.
Is this clear to you?
Yes, Shaykh.
Can you also tell me the niya?
What niya should I make to pray these
two rakats that you mentioned?
Yeah, yeah.
Your intention is that, oh Allah, you chose
for me.
I am confused.
Is this khair for me?
If it is khair, facilitate.
If it is not, save me from it.
That's it.
So you read the dua of the istikhara
after the salat.
Okay.
JazakAllah khair, Shaykh.
Okay, Shaykh.
As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
I'm a revet Muslim and it has been
almost 17 years.
How questionable will I be on the day
of judgment that I didn't call or make
my parents or brother come to Islam?
Never too late, inshallah.
Start from today, okay?
Roll up your sleeves and start making da
'wah.
Calling your family.
Be a role model.
Be a good example of a good muslimah
or Muslim.
Okay?
Show them the manners of the muslim and
the muslimah.
Be kind to them.
Let them see Islam in action.
Be nice to them.
Kind to them.
Helpful to them.
And may Allah guide your parents and guide
your family.
Is that the question?
Yes, inshallah.
Let's take this question now.
Is it okay to read a book on
prayers of forgiveness that includes sending salutations on
the Prophet after each dua?
And also the second question, how to respond
to friends that send videos about mawlid?
You see, my advice for every muslim wa
khayrul hadi hadi Muhammad inshallah.
And the best guidance is that of the
Prophet.
This is the best.
So follow the sunnah of the Prophet.
If you want to memorize adhkar, take the
adhkar of Imam al-Nawawi.
The book full of adhkar.
Memorize it.
Which is from the sunnah?
Memorize the adhkar from the sunnah of the
Prophet.
It is better than any other book.
Memorize husna al-muslim, the portraits of muslims.
All are hadith.
The adhiyah of the Prophet.
Rather than books made by some mashayikh, mystics,
and telling you do this 100 times, 300
times, 500 times.
Leave all this.
Choose the best.
The best adhiyah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam.
And alhamdulillah they are there.
You have kitab al-adhkar by Nawawi.
You have husna al-muslim.
You have al-wabil al-sayyid.
There are many many books.
So full of the ahadith, the adhiyah of
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
So memorize this adhiyah.
Regarding these videos about the Mawlid.
What is Mawlid?
Really, go and see on the YouTube what
they are doing.
Is that Islam?
Is that Islam?
They go mad, jumping up and down, holding
hands, funny things they are doing.
Is this the dhikr?
Is this dhikr?
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says, ala bi
dhikrillah tatma'innal quloob.
Allah is saying the dhikr brings peace, serenity
to the heart.
That is the dhikr.
But this jumping and chanting and going in
circles has nothing to do with Islam.
Smita, innovation, people invented these things.
So, don't entertain such things.
Don't receive these, delete them.
Don't pass them to others.
Because this is not our Islam.
This is not our deen.
Our deen is very clear.
How was the Prophet making the dhikr?
How was the sahaba making dhikr?
Like this.
And I saw also one clip.
They are touching the back of each other
because the first one is touching the shaykh
and the one next touching the shaykh.
So everyone is cute.
And men and women, is this our Islam?
May Allah guide all the Muslims to the
true deen, to the haqq, ameen.
So my advice to you, no.
Read the adhkar and the ad'iyas of
the Prophet and follow his footsteps if you
want the jannah.
If we want the jannah we have to
follow as Allah says وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ وَخُذُوهُ
وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ كَانْجَهُ Whatever the Prophet gives
you, take it.
And whatever he forbids you, abstain from it.
And he said مَنْ أَحْجَثَ فِي أَمْرِنَا هَذَا
مَا لَيْسَ مِنْهُ فَهُوَ رَجْلٌ Whoever invents anything
in our matter, in our deen that's not
part of it, will be rejected.
Just follow his footsteps sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
And insha'Allah, you will be with him
in the jannah.
May Allah guide all the Muslims.
Ameen.
Is this clear to the questioner?
Insha'Allah, it's clear sheikh.
Insha'Allah, we'll take this last final question.
As-salamu alaykum sheikh.
In today's dars, you mentioned that we must
reject the people of shirk.
Does that mean or how would that mean
with regards to me having friends with people
of other religions?
No, it doesn't mean rejecting.
You reject the disbelief.
They believe, you don't believe it.
You reject it.
But teaching them as human beings so nicely
and kindly, that's different.
Otherwise how are you going to make dawah
to them?
But that belief you don't accept it.
You don't entertain it.
You know it is wrong.
So there is no room in your heart
for it.
So that's why you have to work hard
on them to guide them to the right
belief.
That is wrong.
And of course you don't go to the
places of worship or celebrate the feast, etc.
But being nice to them and teaching them
justly and kindly that is okay, no problem.
And your intention should be the dawah.
So you are establishing this link for the
dawah.
And you need to coach them to Islam.
Is this clear to the questioner?
Yes, inshallah, it is clear.
Jazakallah khair, Sheikh.
Alhamdulillah, that brings us to the end of
this series of Al-Qawa'id Al-Arba
'ah.
The four principles of shirk.
And inshallah brothers and sisters, we'll be starting
a new series on Fridays.
Of course the Usul-ul-Thalath on Monday
is still continuing.
As for Fridays, we'll be starting a new
series, inshallah, Kashf-ul-Subahat.
And same time, everything as usual, inshallah.
We'd like to thank Sheikh Salim for taking
us in these steps and this journey in
seeking these beneficial knowledge, especially these essential topics
which we have just concluded.
Subhanallah, we've had many, many, many, many messages
from all the brothers and sisters, Sheikh, just
expressing their gratitude and their thankfulness for the
detailed explanations and the lessons that you have
provided.
It's really appreciated.
Jazakallah.
Alhamdulillah.
Jazakallah.
Sheikh, I would like you to, inshallah, kindly
conclude today's lesson and dars, inshallah.
Jazakallah.
May Allah reward all of you, my dear
brothers and sisters.
I'm really happy to be with you, and
you don't know how I feel while in
the circle and after that.
And I pray for you, and inshallah you
pray for me.
And may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala unite
our hearts on the Haqq.
And may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala increase
our knowledge about our Deen.
And may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala preserve
you and protect you.
And the way of seeking the knowledge is
wrong way, but subhanallah, one has to start
treading on that path and have this sabr,
patience.
You have to have the sabr.
Knowledge cannot be acquired overnight.
But it is the way to the Jannah.
I want you always to have this hadith
in mind that the angels are spreading out
the wings for you.
Angels.
At the end of the circle, qumu maghfura
lakum, get up!
All your sins are forgiven.
Allah in the upper assembly is saying, look
to my servants all over the place from
different countries, getting together to learn the Deen.
You are my witness, I have forgiven them
their sins.
And share whatever you learn.
Share it.
That is by sharing now.
I want you to share this, the four
principles.
Share.
Talk about it.
So when you share it and with your
brothers and your sisters and talk about it,
you keep it in your memory, it will
retain, you can retain it.
And you will understand it better.
And you'll get hasanat.
Don't keep it to you.
Share it.
The sahaba, they learn, they share.
They learn, they share.
They learn, they teach to their families.
They learn things, they go to their tribes.
And that's what you have to do.
May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala purify our
hearts.
May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala give us
the ikhlas, the sincerity.
And may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala give
us the success, the tawfiq and the support
by Him subhanahu wa ta'ala.
May Allah reward all of you, my dear
brothers and sisters, immensely for your patience and
attendance.
Jazakumullah khair.
May Allah protect you, protect your family, preserve
you wherever you are.
Till we meet insha'Allah in the coming
class.
I leave you all in Allah's company.
Allah's company and protection.
Bi aman Allah.
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
