Salem Al Amry – LESSON 84 Weekly Class Masail Al Jahiliyya
AI: Summary ©
The importance of protecting scripture and writing with your hand during the COVID-19 pandemic is discussed, along with the use of "will" and the importance of avoiding false accusations. The speakers emphasize caution and learning the language of Islam to avoid confusion and misunderstandings. They provide examples and advice on handling situations, including inheritors, hospital visits, complaints against healthcare staff, and the use of the word "will" in scripture. The couple also discusses their desire to live with their father and keep their father's guidance, as well as hunting and hunting animals, including the difference between killing them and hunting them. The conversation ends with a discussion of staying in a house for fear of infection.

I am al-ḥamdu liLlāh.
Al-ḥamdu liLlāh.
In shā'a Llāh, we'll get started with
the lesson.
Al-ḥamdu liLlāhi wa-raḥmatu liLlāhi wa-barakātuh.
Dear respected students, may Allāh bless you for
your attendance.
Today, we are covering the Days of Ignorance
by Muḥammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab.
Just a quick reminder, please take notes, listen
attentively and hand your questions over to myself
or the co-host throughout the course of
the lesson.
With that said, I'll hand it back to
the Shaykh to start the lesson.
Barak Allāhu fīkum wa-jazālukum Allāhu khayrun.

Ammā baʿd.
Dear brothers and sisters in Islam, today is
our weekly class, Masā'il al-jāhiliyyah, the
issues of jāhiliyyah.
And today's mas'alah, today's issue, is about
the people of jāhiliyyah who concocted and fabricated
lies about Allāh subḥānahu wa-ta'ālā by
attributing books they wrote with their own hands,
they authored them, and then they ascribed such
words or such books to Allāh subḥānahu wa
-ta'ālā.
And this happened, unfortunately, among the people of
this culture, the learned men, the people of
the book.
Allāh entrusted them to safeguard the holy scriptures
and to protect them against any adulteration or
fabrication.
But, unfortunately, they did the opposite.
They did not carry out that āmānah, that
trust, so they were not trustworthy.
That's why the final revelation, which is the
Qur'ān, Allāh Himself said, I am the
one who's going to safeguard it, protect it,
from the works of human beings.
I will not trust them.
I'm going to safeguard it, I'm going to
protect it, because this is the final guidance
for mankind.
This is the final revelation, the last testament.
So this mas'allah talks about those who
fabricated certain things, inserted them into the scripture,
and then claimed that such works and such
statements are part of the revelation.
This is what Allāh says in surah al
-Baqarah, ayah 79.
Allāh says,
The meaning, Allāh
says, So woe to those who distort the
Scripture with their own hands, then say, this
is from Allāh, seeking a fleeting gain.
So woe to them for what their hands
have written, and woe to them for what
they have earned.
Let us pause and reflect.
So this ayah, Allāh promises the wail, this
extreme chastisement, this most painful punishment, the wail.
Ibn Abbas said, الْوَيْلُ وَادٍ فِي جَهَنَّمِ The
wail is a valley in the hellfire in
which they will be thrown.
So the wail
is this warning from Allāh ﷻ that they
are going to receive the toughest punishment in
the hellfire.
But the people in the hellfire, also they
vary according to their sin.
That's why the hellfire is darakāt, levels but
downwards, not upwards.
Upwards is darakāt, downwards, they descend, they go
deeper and deeper.
That's why the hypocrites are in the lowest
part of the hellfire.
في الدرق الأسفل من النقل The dark, the
lowest part of it.
فَوَيْلُ لِّلَّذِينَ So this wail, punishment, war to
them, for those who write the books,
adulterate the scripture, fiddle with it.
يَكْتُبُونَ الْكِتَابَ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ Of course, we know that.
I hope that you are taking notes.
I hope that you are serious students.
يَكْتُبُونَ الْكِتَابَ We know that when someone writes,
he writes with his hand.
I don't write with anything, any other limb.
I hold the pen with my hand.
So it is obvious.
So why do I mention the hand?
This is to give more emphasis and to
emphasize upon this crime they committed.
And you know when you want to write,
you prepare yourself.
You arrange your ideas, your thoughts, and you
plan things in your mind before you start.
You don't just take the pen and start
writing and scribbling anything.
No.
So they plan, they make up their minds
what to insert, what to write.
يَكْتُبُونَ الْكِتَابَ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ So they know what they
are doing.
They know what they are doing.
So their intention was evil.
يَكْتُبُونَ الْكِتَابَ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ And you know this
ثُمَّ.
These are حروف العطف, connectors.
وَأَوْ ثُمَّ But these connectors, everyone has a
unique meaning.
So ثُمَّ, it gives you that there is
a gap.
For example, طَرَقْتُ الْبَابَ ثُمَّ
فُتِحَ بِي I knocked on the door.
Then someone opened.
So I had to wait.
So I waited.
One minute, two minutes, three minutes, five minutes.
So there was a duration, a gap.
Whereas the فَ فَ also is one of
the حروف العطف But this فَ is called
لِلتَّعقِيب The response happens simultaneously.
Spontaneously.
After the action.
Immediately.
The response comes.
طَرَقْتُ الْبَابَ فَفُتِحَ I knocked on the door
and the door opened.
وَقَفْتُ أَمَامَ الْبَابِ فَفُتِحْ You know these doors,
automatic doors.
They have this photocell.
So when you stand in front of the
cell, you disrupt the signal.
The door opens.
So وَقَفْتُ You don't say وَقَفْتُ ثُمَّ فَفُتِحَ
الْبَابِ No, because you didn't wait.
وَقَفْتُ فَفُتِحَ الْبَابِ فَوَيْلُ لِلَّذِينَ يَكْتُبُونَ الْكِتَابَ
بِأَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ Then after they inserted
their lines and fabricated and modified and adulterated
the scripture, then they said ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ هَذَا
مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ And watch the tense of
the verb.
ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ Which tense is this?
Is this past tense or present tense?
It is present tense.
So what does the present tense mean?
The present tense means the action is continuous.
It's going on.
And this is a fact.
Ask them, the people of the scripture today,
about all these things that you find in
the scripture.
They'll tell you, yes, these are the words
of God.
They continue to tell you, they tell you
these are the words of God.
Not something happened and finished, but one generation
did that and that's it.
No, this is continuous.
It's going on.
Every generation hands it over to the next
and teaches it to the next.
ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ هَذَا مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ This is
from Allah.
And the people, among the people of the
scripture, the masses, the laymen, they trust their
learned men.
They trust them.
It never crossed their minds that they were
fooling them and lying to them.
So whatever they tell them, they believe that.
That's why Allah said, اِجْتَخَذُ أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا
مِنْ جُونِ اللَّهِ وَالْمَسِيحَةِ The people of the
scripture, the masses, the bulk of them, they
had taken أَحْبَارَهُمْ the learned men, the rabbis
وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ the monks, the priests, bishops أَرْبَابًا مِنْ
جُونِ اللَّهِ lords besides Allah وَالْمَسِيحَةِ and they
had also taken Jesus Christ and made him
their lord.
This was what Allah said about them and
this is what they did.
That's why Sayyiduna Adi ibn Hatim رضي الله
عنه when he heard this ayah he told
the Prophet ﷺ because he was Christian before
then he became Muslim he said O Prophet
of Allah we did not take them as
أَرْبَابًا lords besides Allah because to him to
take them as أَرْبَابًا that means to worship
them that's what he understood the Prophet ﷺ
explained to him how they took their learned
men as lords besides Allah so he told
Adi رضي الله عنه didn't they the Christians
and the Jews the bulk of the people
of the book the majority, didn't they and
didn't the learned men made the lawful unlawful
and the unlawful lawful and you followed them
you have given your learned men the monks
and the rabbis you have given them the
right to legislate the right to make things
into lawful and unlawful so the things that
I made lawful for you they told you
these are unlawful for example there is no
place in the Bible Old Testament and New
Testament that says a priest cannot get married
this is an innovation something invented the church
wanted to inherit the priest when they die
so they don't have children so who will
become the heir and the inheritor of the
wealth of the deceased the one who the
priest who died the church that's it and
this is one of the points of the
rebellion and the revolution and the opposition of
the protection Martin Luther that's why you find
the protection they get married they have children
so here the Prophet he explained to him
to Adi didn't they the rabbis and the
monks didn't they make the lawful the lawful
unlawful and they made the unlawful lawful if
you read in the Bible in the Old
Testament for example about eating pork the pork
the flesh of the swine it's haram it's
prohibited riba usually
prohibited images making images prohibited so the
Prophet had to explain to Adi the manner
in which they had taken them the priests
and the monks and the rabbis as lord
when they gave them this right to legislate
to make things lawful and to lawful and
lawful and unlawful lawful and unlawful the same
thing anyone gives himself the authority and the
right to legislate and to enact law that
contradict and to the contrary of what Allah
said and you accepted what he legislated for
you then you that becomes your Rabb and
you have taken him as your lord and
you are worshipping him upon hearing that from
the Prophet said and the Prophet said and
then you accepted what they did for you
and you followed them he said yes so
that's how you have taken them you had
taken them as lords because no one has
the right to make halal and haram except
the one who created not us no one
no human being has the right to make
things haram they are haram or haram lawful
lawful no one it's Allah says this is
lawful and unlawful and that's why in the
Sharia of Islam many of the rules rules
of thought the basic rule that everything Allah
created is halal for us so all the
eatables all types of food all types of
drinks all types of meat everything is halal
because Allah gave us a general statement that
I created everything for you to benefit from
it and the things that he didn't want
us to taste them or touch them because
they are not good for us harmful to
us he mentioned that so the basic rule
everything is permissible lawful unless it is mentioned
otherwise so now if anyone comes to you
and tells you this is haram this food
is haram this drink is haram this cloth
is haram you tell him reduce your evidence
where is it mentioned that it is haram
where is it mentioned if he says you
have to give me the proof the evidence
that it is halal you tell him Allah
made everything halal for us that is the
norm and now you come with exception so
the honest of the proof you are the
one who is obligated and apply to produce
the evidence not me not I myself no
you and
what I mentioned al-asr al-ashyali baha
is very helpful ruling to know everything is
halal for you only to ask is it
haram because the haram things Allah made mentioned
that's it anything else is halal another ruling
in the sharia everything is pure everything it's
time for the salat now I put my
prayer mat and I pray even if I
don't have prayer mat I pray oh is
this spot clean and clean I have green
light I have the hukm from Allah all
the land is my masjid where I can
pray and I can use for making tayammum
or maybe a dog pass urine here maybe
has no room in the sharia you have
to be certain you just pray no
room for the doubt and the waswat no
room for it you prayed your maghrib now
isha is coming now you started to doubt
did I release gas did I lose my
wudu what should you do you pray because
you are you are certain that you prayed
maghrib wudu and now you are doubting whether
the wudu is valid or not did you
lose your wudu or not so you are
in doubt you are not certain forget about
the doubt and pray this is the beauty
of the shariah they attribute
it to Allah so it becomes divine when
you attribute something to Allah it's divine so
the people they have to believe you and
follow and consider it haram or halal as
mentioned by Adi he said yes that's what
we did then they said this is from
Allah then Allah mentioned their motive the motive
of the monks and the rabbis why did
they do that why did they do that
he said this islam for
the sake of having and the sake to
have a fleeting gain that's why this is
the reason they did that to have beneficial
gain worldly benefit little
insignificant price because
no matter irrespective of the magnitude of the
fortune you make and the money you get
it's nothing insignificant this doesn't
mean if the price is tempting it is
permissible no but here the emphasis is that
this bargain is indeed a loss this transaction
which they think it is a transaction okay
they think that this they are making profit
indeed it is a great loss the fleeting
gain and this shows the greed of man
and shows also that lack of the fear
of Allah in their hearts because any devout
person religious committed person will not entertain
the thought in his mind to modify the
divine words of God had he got any
fear in his heart but the hearts are
dead solid as Allah mentioned in surah al
baqarah their hearts were harder than the rocks
so no fear of Allah so they are
just worshipping the dunya and just want money
at any cost again again
Allah is reiterating this
is more emphasis that this way this extreme
chastisement punishment that awaits them it's
far greater than the pleasure they had in
this world so why they
will be punished because of what their hands
had written go
to them for what they have earned so
Allah subhana wa ta'ala he
mentioned to us this group of the people
of Jahiliyya sheikh Muhammad he expounds on this
important issue may Allah let his soul and
elevate his status in jannah because this book
is so beautiful and these issues are so
deep and profound to the
people of Jahiliyya they misled and fooled their
followers and presented to them books they wrote
with their own hands and then attributed to
Allah so that these books will become divine
and this type of attributing and authorship the
ulama they said they are two types or
can be categorized into two categories the techniques
the ways and the manners in which they
adulterated the scripture one they modified the
words the wordings they came to the word
the words and they replaced them that's
one way the other way they kept the
the wordings as they didn't change the wordings
of the text but they misconstrued the meaning
and misinterpreted the meaning for example if you
read in the Old Testament think in the
book of Deuteronomy when it talks about the
usually you should not take usually from your
brother so how they misconstrued that verse they
said your brother okay here is the one
who is having your faith but to take
interest and usually from the Gentiles anyone who
is not from among them who is not
a Jew for example the Gentiles it is
okay and you will be surprised
that you come in and hear and some
this erroneous fatwa that some madhhabs they say
it's okay to take interest and usually from
among the non-Muslims to take
riba from the non-Muslims or selling
haram stuff you sell alcohol you sell and
now you know that people they just
look for anything that satisfies their whims and
desires so they find any fatwa irrespective of
its authenticity they say there is this opinion
and there is this scholar says this and
fooling themselves that it is halal haram will
remain haram irrespective of whoever says it is
halal Allah said it is haram haram will
remain haram okay so don't think that
because this imam said this it will make
it halal for you no it is haram
because the halal is what Allah says it's
halal and the haram is what Allah says
it's haram so here we have two ways
they they adopted one by changing literally the
word the text and second one by misinterpreting
the text and this is now happening in
Islam or this modernist movement okay and the
modernist da'is and callers they are
doing the same thing and they say we
have to re-read re-read the text
we should not follow the tafsir and the
explanations of the scholars of the past we
have to have a new interpretation of the
religion so we can misinterpret it we can
misconstrue it do whatever we want because we
are now qualified to do that without following
the rules that they have to abide by
so be careful don't be fooled by the
charisma by the eloquence by the fluency of
such speaker that's why my advice for you
to gain ilm earn the knowledge of Islam
learn your deen so when you hear anything
you put it against the wahi you measure
it, you put it on the scale of
the shariah if it is a lie that's
what I'm fine otherwise reject it with no
hesitation so
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala my dear brothers
and sisters he threatened those who adulterate the
scripture Ibn Abbas may Allah be pleased with
him said regarding the ayah aforementioned he said
this ayah was revealed regarding the people of
the book and who is Ibn Abbas Ibn
Abbas is the turjuman of the Qur'an,
the interpreter of the Qur'an the prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam prayed for him and
said Allahumma faqahhu fid deen wa allimuhu ta
'weel give him the fiqh, the understanding of
the deen and the ta'weel the tafsir
so this is what Ibn Abbas said quote
this ayah was revealed regarding the people of
the book unquote the reference Imam Nasa'i
mentioned it in the sunan al-kubra man
suyuti rahimahullah ta'ala fiddir al-mansur that
this ayah talks about the people of the
scripture also Allah states in surah al-imran,
ayah 78 wa inn minhum la fariqan yalwuna
alsinatahum bil kitabi li tahsabuhu minal kitab li
tahsabuhu minal kitabi wa ma huwa minal kitabi
wa yaquluna huwa min indillahi wa ma huwa
wa ma huwa min indillahi wa yaquluna huwa
wa ma huwa la ilaha illallah the meaning
there are some among them people of the
scripture who distort the book with their tongues
to make you think this distortion is from
the book but it is not what the
book says they say It is from Allah,
but it is not from Allah, and so
they attribute lies to Allah knowingly.
Let us suppose I reflect, وَإِنَّ مِنْهُمْ Most
certainly, unverily, undoubtedly, from among them.
وَإِنَّ مِنْهُمْ From among them.
And this tells us, see the justice of
Allah, He did not say all of them,
they are learned men.
The common man is a poor guy, he
does not know what is going on behind
the scene.
وَإِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَرِيقًا يَلْوُونَ It is a team,
part of them, group of them.
يَلْوُونَ أَلْسِنَتِهُمْ So when they are reading what
they attributed, they do not articulate it clearly,
they twist their tongues.
So it will not be clear to the
listener that this is something odd or awkward.
So they had to twist their tongues.
يَلْوُونَ أَلْسِنَتِهُمْ بِالْكِتَابِ Why did they twist their
tongue?
What for?
لِتَحْسَبُوهُمْ This is the trick.
لام التعليم This لام, when you come across
it, you should know.
Of course there are different meanings of it,
but here it means for the reason of
لِتَحْسَبُوهُمْ لِتَحْسَبُوهُمْ So that you think it is
part of the scripture.
Though there are other meanings of the لام.
For example, when you say الكتاب لي This
book is mine.
So here لام الملكية This لام of possession.
I possess it.
So here لام التعليم لِتَحْسَبُوهُمْ من الكتاب So
that's why they had to twist their tongues.
So that you think this is part of
the scripture.
لِتَحْسَبُوهُمْ من الكتاب The truth is, what you
heard is not from the scripture, not from
the book.
It is what they concocted.
What they invented.
وَيَقُولُونَهُمْ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ And they say this
is Ramadan.
وَيَقُولُونَهُمْ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ It is not Ramadan.
Allah is exposing them here.
وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَةُ And they tell lies
about Allah.
While knowing.
They attribute lies, ascribe lies to Allah knowingly.
Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him,
he said They are the Jews, this ayah
is talking about.
They are the Jews who added into the
Torah.
What's not from it?
Reference Ibn Jarir al-Tabari in his Tafsir.
And Ibn Abi Hatim also in his Tafsir.
The other people of Jahaniyya, this is about
the people of the scripture.
Who are supposed to be role models.
Other people of Jahaniyya did the same thing
like the people of the scripture.
Allah says in Surat Al-An'am, ayah
The meaning, my
dear brothers and sisters, the rough meaning, of
course.
There is no translation that can give you
the exact meaning.
All translations, they fall short.
If you want to know your deen, learn
Arabic.
But something better than nothing.
So the rough translation.
Who does more wrong than the one who
fabricates lies against Allah or claims, I have
received revelations, although nothing was revealed to them.
But the one who says, I can reveal
the like of Allah's revelations.
If you, O Prophet, could only see the
wrongdoers in the throes of death.
While the angels are stretching out their hands
saying, give up your souls.
Today you will be rewarded.
With the torment of disgrace for telling lies
about Allah.
For being arrogant towards His revelations.
Let us reflect.
Women of the world.
So when you come across this.
Woman and whoever.
And who is that?
There is no one of them.
See.
I became breathless.
Begging you to learn Arabic.
You have zalim.
Someone who is zalim and just.
Oppressor.
Now if you want to make comparison, you
have two zalim.
Two cruel persons.
But one of them is more cruel than
the other.
You say.
For the comparison.
And if you want the superlative form.
You say.
They are.
More than two.
Say this one.
So who is more?
And just.
More wrong.
So who is more sinful?
Who is more wrong?
Who is more unjust?
Than the one.
Iftar.
Iftar means to fabricate.
You concoct.
You invent.
You make.
Fabrication.
Lie.
Something baseless.
Iftar.
To fabricate a lie against a human being.
Is something horrible.
Ignorable.
It's a vice.
But to fabricate about Allah.
To lie against Allah.
This is something.
Unimaginable.
Remember in the hadith of Bukhari.
This shows the.
The brilliance and intelligence and smartness of.
Heraclius.
When he asked about the Prophet in the
hadith.
Does he lie?
This man.
Does he lie?
He said no.
As a matter of fact.
He's known among us.
He said.
If he doesn't lie about a human being.
About any telling a lie.
Regarding anyone of you.
He will not fabricate a lie.
How come do you expect him to lie?
Against Allah.
It's impossible.
That's how he.
Concluded.
Someone who doesn't lie.
Throughout his life.
About any issue.
Now he will come to lie.
Against Allah.
Impossible.
Who is more.
Zalim.
And just unfair.
Than the one who fabricates lies.
Against Allah.
No one is greater than him.
His sin is so.
Tremendous.
Horrible.
So.
I was mentioning to us.
Different categories.
Some they.
Fabricate lies.
Another type of people.
Say.
I received revelation.
These are the false prophets.
Impostors.
Like.
The lawyer.
Said.
I received revelation.
And he wrote to the prophet.
You are a prophet in Mecca.
And Medina.
And prophet in Yamama.
So let us divide.
The prophethood 50 50.
Because he sent a letter.
From Musaylimah.
Rasulullah to Muhammad Rasulullah.
So the prophet replied.
From Muhammad Rasulullah to Musaylimah.
The liar.
He didn't receive revelation.
Nothing was revealed to him.
I can't.
Hmm.
I can.
Reduce.
Something similar to what Allah revealed.
I can reveal the like of Allah's revelation.
The like of Allah.
I will produce.
I will reveal.
The like of what Allah sent down.
This is see my dear brothers and sisters.
The arrogance of the human being.
And how.
When someone is.
Taken under the arm.
Of the shaytan.
So now.
He is the tool of the shaytan.
He is moving him or her.
Allah is mentioning.
What will happen to them.
When they are.
What will happen to them.
What will happen to Pharaoh.
What will happen to.
Nimrod.
And what happened to them.
Then he said.
I am your.
Supreme lord.
What happened to him.
When he was dying.
And drowning.
And Jibreel was stuffing.
His mouth.
With the mud.
From the seabed.
With the Nimrod who said.
I give life.
And cause death.
When he was debating with Ibrahim.
So Ibrahim told him.
Allah brings the sun from the east.
Bring it from the west.
And he failed miserably.
This is the.
The.
You have to keep in mind.
My dear brothers and sisters.
The throes of death.
When the soul is here.
When breathing our last.
We have to keep that in mind.
Because there are many benefits.
Of remembering death.
Oh you.
Oh prophet.
Could only see the wrongdoers.
In the throes of death.
When they are breathing their last.
And now.
The sight.
Is so powerful.
They are seeing the Malik.
And they are seeing the next life.
And the angels are surrounding them.
Encircling them.
The angel of death.
And his pelvis.
Because.
The one who takes the soul.
Is only one angel.
Not many.
He is the one who receives it.
And then.
He hands it over.
To.
Those with him.
Who brings.
The shroud.
With soul.
If it is a good soul.
May Allah make our souls.
Good ones.
When the soul comes out.
There will be pleasant smell.
Coming out.
And this soul will be.
Wrapped in the shroud.
Taken by the angels.
To heaven.
The doors will open.
And then this soul.
Will be placed.
In a bird.
And this bird will be flying in the
Jannah.
Because the soul cannot.
Exist on its own.
It needs to be carried.
Always by something.
In the body.
Then in the Akhira.
In the bird.
Then back to the body.
Then will remain in the body.
This is a good soul.
The bad soul.
Of the evil doers.
The smell will be.
Of course for the good soul.
The shroud.
The scent and everything.
From the Jannah.
But this one no.
Because this one is not going to Jannah.
It is going to Sijin.
Okay.
The 7th earth.
Where Allah knows.
So.
And bad smell will come out.
If you are prophet.
Could only see.
That's why when you die.
The soul comes out.
Like this.
Goes up.
And the sight.
Traces and tracks.
The soul.
So you see your soul.
When it is coming out.
So that's why we had to close.
And bring down.
The eyelids.
If you are prophet.
Could only see the wrongdoers.
In the throes of death.
While the angels are stretching.
Out their hands.
Saying.
Give up your soul.
Come out.
The good soul.
Will flow easily.
From the body.
The prophet said.
That the drop of water.
Flows smoothly.
And easily.
From the mouth of the.
The bag of skin.
Skin bag.
Bag of skin.
They fill it with water.
Whereas the.
Soul of the evil.
Person.
Will not come out.
Easily.
And the angel of death.
Has to pull it out.
Forcefully.
Like a piece of thorn.
In wet wool.
Give up your soul.
Today you will be rewarded.
The torment.
Of disgrace.
For telling lies.
About Allah.
And for being arrogant.
Towards his revelation.
So Ikrimah.
Said this ayah.
Came down regarding.
Musaylimah the liar.
Who claimed that he received.
Revelation from Allah.
Mentioned by Ibn Jarir.
In his Tafsir.
And Ibn Kathir.
In Al Bidayah.
Another example.
Sajjah.
Is among those who.
Claim prophethood.
She was a prophetess.
And by the way.
No woman is a prophet.
No prophetess.
Maryam is not a prophetess.
Also.
Zulayha al-Asadi.
Al Aswad al-Ansi.
And the Prophet.
Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told us.
30 liars will come after me.
Everyone will claim.
That he is a prophet.
May Allah.
Save us from going astray.
And may Allah keep us.
Remain.
Following the footsteps.
Of our Prophet.
And may Allah.
Make our last words.
That we utter and breathe.
Is that.
The shahadah.
The testimony.
The belief in the oneness of Allah.
May Allah.
Keep us.
Remain steadfast.
On this beautiful.
Deen.
And make us.
Die upon.
May Allah.
Forgive us for.
Mistakes and ignorance.
And may Allah.
Bless us.
With the beneficial knowledge.
Of righteous deeds.
And may Allah guide all of us.
To the straight path.
May Allah unite our ummah.
And may Allah unite our hearts.
And may Allah reward all of you.
My dear brothers and sisters.
Immensely for your patience.
And attendance.
Jazakumullahu khaira.
Assalamu alaikum.
Wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
Ameen.
Assalamu alaikum.
Jazakumullahu khair.
For the beneficial and insightful lesson.
InshaAllah we've received a few questions.
Let me know when you've received the first
one.
Okay.
Go ahead.
So the first question.
A very close family member's child.
Had a ta'weez.
After showing disagreement.
They sent a hadith to the group.
They replied it's not your child.
So mind your own life.
Should I stop here and not tell them
anything?
If I want to see them.
No.
You remind them.
Send them.
What the ulama said.
And if the hadith.
They say that.
I don't know what they said.
What they quoted.
Is the hadith authentic or not.
Or maybe they mentioned.
Ibn Abbas used to do this.
Then you have to.
Tell them.
That what the prophet said is the following.
Okay.
When he said.
And.
InshaAllah soon.
We will.
Start also.
Kitab al-tawhid.
So the prophet said.
That the.
Incantations.
Enrichment.
Amulets.
But these are the words of the shaitan.
And the prophet.
Used to read.
On al-hassan and al-hussain.
The qul.
And the.
And he used to say.
Ibrahim.
Used to read.
On Ishaq and Ismail.
So the prophet.
Used to read on the children.
Not writing.
He didn't ask.
Someone to write the ayat.
And tie them around the necks.
Of al-hassan or al-hussain.
And he is our example.
To follow.
And if you think.
That they are not listening.
After you explain to them.
With hikmah.
Yes.
Keep making dua for them.
Next question.
The next question.
What is the ruling.
On a group of muslims.
Who find faults in the sahaba.
Because of the fitna.
That took place amongst them.
These group of muslims.
Disregard Ali and Aisha.
And other sahaba.
What is our response.
Should be to these individuals.
First of all.
They are one of two.
Either they are.
They know what they are doing.
Or they are ignorant.
Because the belief of.
Ahlus sunnah wal jamaah.
The sunni muslims.
That they.
Love all the sahaba.
Respect all the sahaba.
And they do not.
Indulge.
And entertain.
What happened.
Between the sahaba.
As Imam Shafi'i said.
I said.
Such blood.
Allah saved our souls.
From being soiled.
And.
Soiled by their blood.
The blood of the sahaba.
So let us.
Refrain.
And safeguard our tongues.
From indulging.
And talking evil.
About the companions.
Because what happened.
Between the sahaba.
Was fitna.
And.
The mastermind.
Behind it.
Is.
Abdullah.
Ibn Sabah.
Who is a jew.
The one.
The mastermind behind it.
He is the one.
Who fooled.
Many of the.
Arabs.
Against.
And tried to.
He poisoned their minds.
Against Uthman.
Until they.
Killed Uthman.
Now.
Who is the closest to Uthman.
Is Muawiyah.
Very close to him.
Those criminals who killed Uthman.
They took over Medina.
Though Sayyidina Ali was.
The khalifa.
He was not in a position.
To.
Catch the real culprits.
The killers.
Because when he asked.
Who killed.
Uthman.
All of them shouted we killed Uthman.
Ali.
Was alim.
Qadi.
Judge.
So he wanted things to cool down.
And then he will figure out.
And the investigation.
Will continue.
Until he.
Finds the exact.
Killers.
Now Sayyidina Muawiyah.
In Asham.
Is asking Sayyidina Ali.
Hand over to me.
The killers of my cousin.
Ali was not in a position.
To do that.
Then Sayyidina Muawiyah decided.
To fight those who killed.
Not to fight Sayyidina Ali.
To fight those who killed Muawiyah.
Uthman.
Muawiyah.
So Muawiyah when he came.
And his army came from Asham.
Not to fight Sayyidina Ali.
At all.
Because he realized.
That Sayyidina Ali is not in a position.
Because they are.
With him and around him.
And they are saying.
All of us killed him.
So he decided to retaliate.
And that's why.
Our mother came along with them.
And told her.
When our mother came out.
They told her.
When people see you.
You will bring reconciliation.
Reconciliation.
Between the Muslims.
That's why she came out.
And exactly that's what happened.
When they met.
They reached an agreement.
They reached an agreement.
That Sayyidina Ali.
Will hand over.
Those whom he sent.
The next day.
The culprits at night.
Now they say.
Guys.
Will be.
Handed over.
So what they did.
They attacked.
The army.
At night.
Of Muawiyah.
Those who came from Asham.
Can you imagine.
So that.
The army of Asham.
Thought that they were.
Betrayed.
And the fight took place.
And many of the Sahaba died.
Talha died in that.
Battle of the Camel.
And Aisha was on the.
Top of the camel.
And Sayyidina Ali when he found Talha.
Killed.
He cried.
Cried.
As Zubair.
Was there.
And when Ali told him.
And reminded him of a hadith.
He forgot that.
The Prophet said you are going to.
Stand against me.
Reminded him of that hadith.
As Zubair said.
I forgot about it.
And decided to leave the battle.
To go.
To leave.
Go back to Medina.
One of those criminals.
Followed Sayyidina Zubair.
And he killed Sayyidina Zubair.
When Sayyidina Zubair was.
Praying.
And he came to tell Sayyidina Ali.
As Zubair.
I killed As Zubair.
Sayyidina Ali told him.
The Prophet said.
The killer of.
As Zubair.
Will go to *.
This is the good.
Have a good news.
You are going to Jahannam.
But that was the Prophet.
Said.
So what happened between the Sahaba.
Was a fitna.
That's why many of the Sahaba.
They did not participate.
Like Abdullah ibn Umar.
And others.
And then those criminals.
They continued.
They killed.
Later on.
Sayyidina Ali.
And.
The Khawarij.
The Khawarijites.
They killed Sayyidina Ali.
And they decided.
To kill the three together.
Sayyidina Muawiyah, Sayyidina Ali.
And Amr ibn al-As.
Muawiyah was wounded.
But Amr was sick.
And he did not come to the Fajr
prayer.
Who is behind all this?
Ibn Sara.
The Muslim mind.
Immediately after.
The death of Sayyidina Ali.
R.A. Sayyidina Al Hasan.
Became the Khalifa.
And he called immediately.
Sayyidina Muawiyah.
And he said to Muawiyah.
R.A. You are the Khalifa.
Of the Muslims.
I don't want to be the Khalifa.
And the Muslims.
Came back together.
United.
And they called that year.
The year of.
Unity.
So those who are token.
They don't know what is coming out.
Out of their heads.
They are ignorant.
Or they are.
Enemies of the Deen.
So they wanted.
They want to attack the Sahaba.
And they want us to.
Doubt the Sahaba.
And not to trust them.
Because the Deen reached us.
Through the Sahaba.
And the Sahaba.
Allah said about them.
Allah is pleased with those.
Believers who gave you.
The pledge of the allegiance.
Under the tree.
And Allah said.
R.A. Allah is pleased with them.
And they are pleased with them.
And Allah said.
And all of them.
Allah promised them.
Which is the Jannah.
And the Prophet said.
The best of my generation.
My generation.
Then those to follow.
And then the Prophet.
R.A. said.
Do not insult.
My companions.
If one of you.
Gave.
Charity.
Colossal amount of gold.
And the size.
Of the Mount of Uhud.
Gold.
That will not be equal.
To a handful.
Of one of the companions.
Handful of grains.
One of the companions gave.
The reward of that handful.
Of grains is more than.
The reward of this Mount.
Of gold.
So keep the reverence and the love.
And the respect in your heart.
Of the Sahaba.
In your heart for the Sahaba.
Teach your children.
The love of the Sahaba.
Read to your children.
The stories of the Sahaba.
May Allah.
Raise us.
In the company.
Of the companions.
And in the company.
Of our beloved Prophet Muhammad.
So my advice.
To all of you.
Not to listen.
To those fools.
Ignorant.
Idiots.
They don't know what they are.
Saying.
Next question please.
I don't know if they are.
Having courses in Medina.
I think maybe they are.
Giving courses.
If he can get the courses in Medina.
That's the best place.
No doubt.
Otherwise there are.
Some institutes in Egypt.
Okay.
They teach Arabic.
So.
First.
Arabic and the Quran.
Because this is the key.
For knowing.
May Allah.
Make it easy for him.
Next question.
Next question.
First of all.
There is no.
Maximum or minimum.
Number of days.
For the.
Most natal.
Leading.
The average.
40 days.
Of most women.
But some women.
They become clean before that.
20 days.
30 days.
So some ignorant women.
Sisters.
It is stuck in their mind.
40 days.
She is clean after 30 days.
And she continued.
Leaving the Salah.
For no reason.
So the moment.
You become clean.
Clean.
You start to pray.
How about.
After 40 days.
You are still leading.
So you are still in the Nifas.
Because it can be longer.
That's why they.
Mentioned.
Up to 60 days.
But 40 days.
The average.
If after 60 days still.
You just ignore it.
You take a shower.
And start praying.
And intimacy.
And intimate relation.
Even before that.
40 days.
You have become clean.
You start praying.
And live your normal life.
I hope this is clear.
To all the sisters.
Next.
The next question.
If someone sends you a link.
To join the bank as a referral.
For example.
You both get cash 40 pounds.
Is this permissible?
Don't tell the bank.
Stay away from the bank.
Okay.
All the banks.
They are dealing with rebel.
Stay away from them.
Next.
The next question.
A husband is pressuring his wife.
To share her personal medical records with him.
Does she need to share this with him?
And is it sinful if she doesn't?
No need to know.
The.
Her personal medical records.
What for?
But if he for example.
Is afraid.
That she has a disease or something.
That's why.
In some Muslim countries.
Before the marriage.
The.
The.
Husband to be and wife to be.
They have to.
Do a test.
HIV test.
So they are clean.
So.
If.
Husband is going to marry this woman.
And he says.
I want to make sure that you are.
Not having any disease or any.
Hereditary disease.
For some.
People they have hereditary disease.
Which will.
Appear.
In the.
In the progeny.
The children.
That's why the prophet.
When a Sahabi came to him.
And he said.
I proposed to a woman.
From among the Ansar.
He said.
Did you see her?
Did you look at her?
He said no.
He said go.
They have this disease.
They have.
Among them.
That they are always.
This * eye.
* eyed.
They have problem with their eyes.
So go and see her.
That's why if.
A family is known.
They have this problem.
One should not marry from among them.
And that's why the prophet.
He said.
Marry women who are.
Prolific.
And.
And also having.
This loving nature.
Of loving nature.
How do I know.
That this girl.
Who is virgin.
Not married.
Is going to give me children.
So the ulama they said.
You see her mother.
We see her sister.
If she's the only.
Daughter.
And her sister.
Also they say.
One boy or one daughter too.
So they're not prolific.
So I have to look.
For another family.
Okay.
But if just.
It is just inquisitiveness.
And out of curiosity.
There's no valid reason.
No need.
Why you want to know.
The record.
My health record.
There's no need for it.
The same way.
I don't ask about your.
Medical record.
Okay.
May Allah guide both of them.
Next.
The next question.
Who was the imam of the janaza.
Of the prophet?
There was no imam.
They were praying individually.
Next.
The next question.
Is it true that when a woman dies.
And she doesn't have sons.
Then the husband.
And husband's daughters.
And grandsons and granddaughters.
Inherit the wealth.
While the deceased brothers and sisters.
Do not inherit.
Please advise.
The inheritors.
If they are.
Children.
They block the others.
They block them.
And this is called hajj.
And always the questions of inheritors.
If someone wants.
The details.
Just send the question.
And you'll get details.
I'm sorry.
Next.
We have a follow-up question.
From the medical records.
The husband wants to.
Or the suitor wants to.
Launch a complaint against.
The conduct of the hospital.
Which involves the wife.
But she does not want to go.
Through the whole legal process.
The wife has been through.
A difficult pregnancy and birth.
And wants to put the experience.
At the hospital behind her.
I didn't get the question.
What the sister wants to know.
So.
It seems that there was.
Some complications.
With the pregnancy.
And birth at the hospital.
But the husband wants to make.
A complaint against the hospital.
But the wife wants to ignore it.
That's why he was asking.
For the medical records.
So he wants to.
File a case against the hospital.
Yes.
But the wife does not.
Why?
Because the hospital leaked.
Information about the.
The case of his wife.
Or what?
It doesn't say.
But I think there was some.
Difficulties during the.
Pregnancy and the birth.
Okay.
If that was due to.
Negligence.
Or negligence of the staff.
In the hospital of the doctors.
And or they did.
Something on purpose.
Okay.
And the husband feels.
That the way.
They handled the situation.
Is not normal.
And they meant to.
Harm his wife.
Then I think.
They should understand.
The husband and wife.
They should discuss this.
To find why.
And what should they do.
And is there benefit.
If they file a case.
Maybe the husband.
Feels that.
If they file.
A case against the hospital.
Maybe they will be.
Receiving some compensation.
Or things like that.
They need to sit.
Calmly and discuss it openly.
Okay.
And try to reach an agreement.
May Allah make it easy.
For you both of you.
And make you having this.
Mutual understanding.
Next question.
The next question.
Will it confuse a baby.
To speak English and Arabic to him.
The husband only.
Wants Arabic spoken.
Children they pick up.
And there are cases.
A child.
He tells like this.
He speaks in Arabic.
Speaks in English.
So children.
They pick up quickly.
But no doubt.
If the mother.
Knows.
How to talk in Arabic.
Speak in Arabic.
To your children.
Because there is a sickness.
Among the Muslims.
We have this inferiority.
Complex.
I speak in English.
So that.
To show that I am cultured.
I am advanced.
Not backward.
Or even.
By speaking in Arabic.
And then few words here and there.
In English.
This means.
Weak personality.
Some.
Arab families they talk in English.
To their children.
Don't do that.
Speak in Arabic.
Because language is not only.
A tongue.
You learn now.
You learn many things.
Comes along with it.
The culture.
Then you become.
Having inclination.
And affinity.
And loyalty.
Towards that language.
That's why.
You find many countries.
You talk to them in English.
Like the French.
The German.
They don't.
They don't answer you.
And their bodies.
Are very strict.
Regarding.
These issues.
Because.
Once.
You import another.
Language.
You take that culture along with it.
During.
When we were in schools.
I think.
We start learning English.
Grade five.
Primary school.
Before that no English.
At all.
And then.
You can't learn English.
It's not difficult.
So here's my advice.
For the couples.
To talk in Arabic to their children.
Next.
The next question.
What should a man do.
If his wife has decided.
To ask for.
Because of his financial.
Difficult situation.
Well listen to me my sisters.
What is.
The purpose of.
Marriage.
What's the meaning of it.
What's the meaning of love.
Love means to give.
To sacrifice.
Because some women.
She marries a man.
As long as he is.
The.
The.
The goose that.
Lays golden eggs.
That's it.
The first problem.
Her husband.
Comes across.
She washes her hands.
I don't want you.
Remember.
When you make your choice.
When you choose your partner.
Your wife.
Don't look for the looks.
And look for this.
Look for the one.
Who feeds Allah.
Who will stand by you.
A woman who loves her husband.
She will not let him down.
She will go through him.
Through the thick and thin.
Throughout all.
Hardships.
He's ready to live with you.
In a tent.
In a cave.
Wherever you go.
This is the.
The true wife.
Stand by you.
He's the shoulder you cry on.
Not when you want a shoulder.
To cry on.
No shoulder is there.
You know the Hadith in Bukhari.
Ismail and Ibrahim.
Every year.
Ibrahim would come.
And visit his son Ismail.
One time he came.
And he did not find his son Ismail.
And the wife of Ismail.
Did not recognize him.
So he asked her.
Where is your husband?
She told him.
My husband went out.
So he asked her.
About their livelihood.
How they are doing.
He started.
Complaining.
About their financial status.
Etc.
So.
He told her.
When your husband comes.
Tell him.
A man came here.
And he's telling you.
Change.
Change the doorstep.
Of your house.
Change it.
So.
Ismail came.
He smelled.
The smell of his father.
He asked.
He described Ibrahim.
He knew that was his father.
He said.
Did he say anything?
He said yes.
He's telling you.
Change the door.
Of your house.
He said you have the door.
Go.
He divorced her.
Because Ibrahim.
Didn't like her.
He's not the good wife.
For his son.
And he married another woman.
And he came.
And Ibrahim.
Ismail was not there also.
The second time.
Ismail was not there too.
He was not there.
Either.
So he asked her.
She started thanking Allah.
And everything is fine.
So he told her.
When your husband comes.
Tell him.
To maintain the door of his home.
His house.
Ismail came.
Asked.
He told her.
That he is telling you.
Maintain the door of your house.
That you are the door.
And my father is telling me to keep
you.
So that's why you have to make the
right choice.
From the beginning.
So my advice for the sister.
Fear Allah.
Life is not a bed of roses.
Or milk and honey.
So the sincere Muslim.
The true wife.
Will stand by her husband.
When they are facing.
Hardships.
He needs someone.
To give him a hand.
Not to desert him.
So fear Allah.
Fear Allah.
And this is not a valid reason.
To ask.
So fear Allah.
I hope it is clear.
To all the sisters.
Next.
The next question.
In the case of hunting animals.
What is the difference between hunting it.
Or simply killing it.
And are there any rulings prohibiting one.
And allowing the other.
I didn't receive the question.
Okay.
First of all.
Hunting.
The games.
And animals.
That are eatable.
Like the deer.
The hare.
Okay.
So the animals.
That we can eat their meat.
Zebras.
Zebras Halal.
So you hunt them.
For the sake of eating.
Their meat.
That's Halal.
That's permissible.
But for the sake of killing the animal.
That's for the sake of killing it.
Or.
Learning the skill.
Of shooting and aiming.
That's not allowed.
Not allowed.
So Allah allows us.
To hunt the animals.
Whether by shooting.
Arrows.
Or bullets.
Or releasing the hounds.
So that we can eat.
Their meat.
Not just for the.
Entertainment to kill them.
I remember now.
This question reminded me.
Of long time ago.
I attended a.
Training session.
And the one.
Who was giving the session.
Was an American instructor.
And he mentioned.
He was advanced in age.
He said during our time.
When we were traveling throughout.
The states in America.
The bisons are filling.
The planes.
The buffalos.
And we are in the trains.
And we are shooting them.
And killing them.
Just like that.
So now the number of.
These bisons and.
The buffalos dropped drastically.
That's entertaining.
Killing them.
That's not permissible in Islam at all.
I hope this is clear to the questioner.
Next question.
My son is 9 years old.
He is asking.
How do I stop myself from being angry.
About the fact that my father.
Never comes home to see me.
Or never calls to talk to me.
Make dua for your father.
May Allah guide your father.
And may Allah.
Make you.
Good child.
Obedient child.
Beautiful child.
To both of your parents.
Your mother and your father.
And keep praying.
To Allah.
To guide your father.
To soften his heart.
And Inshallah.
One day he will come to see you.
So don't hold any.
Grudge or.
Malice or enmity.
In your heart.
Towards your father.
Just keep your heart clean.
And make dua for your father.
And may Allah.
Make you the apple.
Of the eye of your father.
The eye of your mother.
May Allah bless all of you.
Ameen.
Ameen.
Ameen.
Ameen.
Ameen.
Ameen.
Ameen.
Ameen.
Ameen.
Ameen.
Ameen.
As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
