Saad Tasleem – Happiness and Inner Peace

			Have you ever felt happy? I'm not talking about something that brought you some momentary pleasure
and happiness, and then it's gone. Do you feel like periods of happiness in your life are always
short lived, and that many of your attempts to search for happiness have failed. Let me tell you why
that's the case. Simply put, any happiness far from God is incomplete happiness, and all forms of
happiness that we try to obtain without belief in God are short lived and mere illusions. How many
times have you searched for happiness, and sought to get out of the cycle of sadness, you're not
alone. All people on Earth, strive to achieve lasting happiness, and I'm one of them. Happiness is a
		

			goal that Muslims and non Muslims all strive for it. Each party uses different methods. But it is
only true believers who can achieve true happiness because of their faith in God Almighty. All the
teachings of Islam are from God, and He knows us better than we know ourselves. And it is from his
mercy that he gave us a system of life by which we live that guarantees peace, happiness, and
success for everyone who embraces it. Listen to what God Almighty says in the Holy Quran, we will
give them their reward according to the best of what they used to do. When a person understands the
purpose of their life, the relationship of this world to the afterlife, the names and attributes of
		

			God and why God decrees difficult times and also joyful times. It gives the person the correct
perspective to understand life and its volatility. A person is then able to endure the difficult
times with clarity, patience, and satisfaction. The beautiful news in all of this is that God has
promised all those who live a righteous life that he will help them as he says in the Quran, and
whoever lives consciously of God, he will make for them away, forward.
