the brothers and sisters, returning back from Hajj always carries a bag of emotions and a bag of reflections as well. And subhanAllah there are many things to reflect on in hajj, you can reflect on the rituals, you can reflect on the people, you can reflect on the places you can reflect on the way to hedge and the way from which you can reflect on your pre Hajj mentality and your post Hajj mentality. You can reflect on the state of the OMA, you can reflect on death, you can reflect on poverty, you can reflect on unity, you can reflect on nationalism and tribalism. There probably isn't a single value in life that you're not instantaneously reminded of when you enter into it. And
when you enter into Mecca or Medina, the two sacred places And subhanAllah obviously this year had a lot of unfortunate incidents with the crane accident as well as the stampede
needs and things of that sort. But somehow a one reflection that I wanted to carry with me today, and I hope to convey it in the night
is the fact that these roads that we travel, I want you to imagine, as you walk between or as you drive from Medina to Mecca, you find some of the heaviest traffic in your life. You have hundreds of 1000s of Muslims on any given day of the hedger up until the day or eight that are trying to get into Mecca. And there's all kinds of congestion, all kinds of traffic. And you think that the same path was the same path, that there were only three Muslims on the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, I will record all the low tide and his servants as they were fleeing from their oppressors and fleeing from Operation Mecca trying to have them killed. And now Subhanallah you have traffic
you have hundreds of 1000s of people literally piling up on each other, and buses almost literally piling up on each other to reach Mecca going in the direction that the profit slice and I'm went as a small slice, did his hedge littered with the one hedge that the profit slice and then did in his life as you stand on a sofa and and marijuana and you're standing on software and one of the beauties of that you're out by the way that the profit slice and I'm used to make on a suffer. You know, many times we don't understand the deeper meanings of our rituals and habits when the profit slice I'm used to stand on a sofa, the profit slice sometimes to see like either Hey, Lola wider,
and just a wider one also Abda why hasn't the wider the profit slice that I'm used to declare the Oneness of Allah subhanaw taala, who supported his servants alone, and granted him victory alone, and completely did away with the Confederates and those that tried to eliminate the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And one of the reflections that we take from that is that mountain was the same mountain that the Prophet slice them stood on when he first began his call, and everyone turned their back on him. But now when the Prophet slicin goes there, he teaches the believers to remember that Allah subhanaw taala supported his servants and his difficult times and gave him
victory alone. And now you have the millions and millions of Muslims that do the same thing the prophets lie Selim did, and remind ourselves that Allah supported his servants Allah Allah Almighty, He was salam has outdone his lawsuit, his servant and His Messenger at his most vulnerable moments, and made greatness out of the Prophet slicin in his call, but there's something to take from that all. If you look at the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam from the time that he started his call, to the end of his call, from the time that he stood on a sofa, to call people to Islam for the first time to the last year of his life, some Allah Allah He was set on when he stands on his on a
sufferer to do Hajj, the same people that the prophets lie some surrounded himself with in Makkah, when he first made the call, we're around him still sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the same clothes that the Prophet slice and I'm used to wear when he was just, you know, a simple man trying to call people to this new message of his wear the same clothes that he wore SallAllahu it was set up when he was followed by 10s of 1000s. At that point, the same attitude, the same behavior, the same character, and more than anything else, the same loyalty, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam embodied when he was vulnerable and when he was strong, and that characteristic, that trait
a lot that is something very special. Because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam if you were to look at him in Mecca, when he was sitting in data, literally hiding from the people, and he had around him Bilad and even Massoud and kebab on the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam comes back to Mecca victorious and also allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is now head of state and the most powerful man in the world it still be raw and hubbub and had been on Maktoum and these people standing next to him some Allah who it was. And you know when I when you go to the cab, it's a very powerful thing to think about. Just imagine think about the the cabin now with the monstrosity of
the buildings around it. Can you imagine what it would look like to see a man standing on top of the cab?
Can you imagine that sight just think of it as you see it now you don't need to go 1400 years ago, think about yourself doing pull off now. And imagine seeing a man standing on top of the camera. Think about the power of that man. And the dignity that that man carries at that moment was the same man above the Allah Tada and who beat up who stood with the Prophets lie some of his most difficult time. Who in the eyes of the Prophet slice I'm deserved to have that prominence where he would be the only man
And to place his feet on top of the candle and call out Allah Allah. Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar from on top of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam never stopped appreciating those people. He never stopped loving those people. He never failed to show them that appreciation and the mandibular column rocking Allah Tada he comments on this hadith of the messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam where the prophets lie some Sysmon Dioscuri NAS la escuela whoever does not thank the people does not thank Allah subhanaw taala he comments on this. And he says because the same people that will only show humility to Allah subhanaw taala in their moments of vulnerability are the same people
that will only show humility to people when they're in need of them.
And they will shun those same people. When those people need them. They'll turn their backs on, because that's their attitude with Allah. And your attitude with Allah is your attitude with the people. If the only time you call upon Allah is when you need something, then the only time you will show humility to people is when you need them. You'll treat them like insurance companies. It's a contract. Right now you benefit me more. When you no longer benefit me more. And when you now are a burden to me. I no longer want anything to do with you. I'm not going to answer your calls the way you answered my calls. I'm not going to comfort you and your low point the way you comforted me and
my low point, because I've moved on now. I've made it I'm successful. I don't need you anymore. And though we don't say it in those brutal terms, our attitude reflects that at times where we go through these phases in life. And we failed to take into consideration the people that loved us through all of those phases. The people that stood with us through all of those phases, and with the messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, there is no shortage of examples. Obviously the most famous of them is Khadija will be allowed to have
a you know it's very easy to look back and say Masha Allah the Prophet slice I'm treated for the just so well, but let's face it, one Khadija will be allowed to answer was older. And when they're in the boycott, this is a woman now, who is in her 60s, who's hitting the age of 60 years old, who's had six children, actually more than six children because she had children as well from her previous marriages. Right? This is a woman that is, you know, dying. This is a woman that is struggling. This is a woman that has been through a lot with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. When she passes away, he goes on to get married again. Obviously, after
some time, and with pressure that was placed on him to get remarried sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and for a shot of the Allah Tada and the most beautiful life of the prophet slice, and I'm the youngest of the lies, the prophets lie some of the only one of the wives of the Prophet slice of him who was not previously married, says that the only woman I was ever jealous of in my life was the one that I never saw. There's something about that, because jealousy is usually stoked by images by seeing a certain, you know, by seeing someone talking a certain way to someone else by seeing a certain level of love and respect and honor between them. But she says the only wife that I really,
really was jealous of was Khadija will the Allah Juan. Why? Because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam never failed to mention her. Every time the prophets license received a gift Rasulullah sai some sense a portion of it to the Friends of Khadija will the hola Juan. Every single day the prophets lie Selim made mention of her. If the prophets lie Selim saw an old woman that used to visit Khadija or the Allah Tada and the prophets lie some would invite her in and would show her a certain level of generosity. If the prophets lie Selim heard the voice of the sister of Khadija Missoula slice alum would get up and he would rush to the door and he would say hola, hola. Hola.
Hola. Hola. Hola. Hola. Hola. Let it be Hannah. Let it be Hala because she had a similar voice to these over the hola and I saw the hola Anna says that she used to enter into the house and sit and carry herself the same way that for these old the alarm and the prophets like some would hear her voice and say oh Allah let it be had a llama Hana and sit her down in the house and go through the memories of Khadija the Allah Tada. And the prophets like Selim would would would mention the same memory over and over and over again. He never got sick of it. SallAllahu it was so he never moved on from her. He never forgot her. A woman who never saw them about a woman who never saw her touch. A
woman that did not live to see the legislation of the five Salawat a woman who never heard Paul I loved it or Elena or saw the hedgehog or saw Medina but the Prophet slice and I'm remembered remembered her and I sold the Allah Tada and it says
I got so jealous of her one day that I said to the prophets lie Selim hasn't Allah subhanaw taala added replace that old woman with someone better than her. I mean, haven't you moved on? Isn't it enough? It's been years. You can move on now. And the prophets lie Selim stands up and Rasul Allah say salam was angry and he says wala Inaba did any Hola, hi Ramona, I swear that Allah did not give me better than her. And what does he start to do? Does he start to belittle Aisha? No, I he says amazing all the Alon. But he says, Listen her, I'm going to be as careful I'll be a nurse when no one else believed in me. She believed in me. While sub Ducati it could have any nurse or when people
questioned my truthfulness, she had no doubt know what Amphicar to be in harmony and us and when people were hesitant to spend on my dad or Khadija or the Allah on how went into the poverty that eventually caused her death, after having lived the life of a queen, for the sake of the death of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, what does that Connie Allahu Allah is harmony. Hola, Denisa. And Allah subhanaw taala gave me children through her when Allah subhanaw taala did not give me children to other women. I will never forget her. I will never stop mentioning her. I will never stop making her out for her. The profit slice Allah never failed to appreciate her. And you can
imagine the emotions of the prophets like Selim when he comes back to Mecca. After he left it as a fugitive Sall Allahu alayhi wa sallam when the last time he left Mecca Cathedral, the law and had passed away. And this time he's coming with all the followers in the world, and all the glory of coming back to Mecca. Not as a fugitive, not as someone that's trying to negotiate but rather coming back victorious, with 10s of 1000s of people following you, all of that glory was not enough to obscure what Khadija will be Allah on her mantra the prophets license. And so when they asked the messenger slay Salam Where do you want to pitch your tent Aina Tenzin everyone wanted the profit
slice I'm to stay with that. Rasool Allah say sallam said, pitch my tent and her June next to the grave of cathedral the Allah will turn on.
So he goes back and he stays next to janitor and what Allah next to the graveyard worker the job of the Allah Allah it's and you can imagine the emotions of the profit slice and I'm where every single day when he wakes up in Makena victorious having wished that Khadija would have lived to see those days of victory and ease you all want you know everyone wants to see their wants those that love them and believed in them they want them to live to see them make
right you want them to live in Enjoy Your Success in fact they're enjoying your success is more beloved to you than you yourself enjoying your success and no one of us has loved anyone else the way the profit slice on love could eat. Can you imagine that the emotions of the profit slice on him every day when he wakes up in that tent. And he passes by the grave of Khadija the Allah every single day making your art for her, remembering her. That's our messenger sallallahu alayhi wa salam and he wasn't just like that with his wife look even amongst the Sahaba just like our Isha was amazing Allah or the Allah to Allah and who was amazing but he didn't forget that man that was with
him from the very start of work at acidic while the low tide
to the point that I will work it in all at once got into an argument and all that is a man that the prophets lie some loves, but he's not working on another bucket got into an argument. And when they when they got into that argument, I will record all the alarm when asked for forgiveness. And I'm going to refuse to forgive him. So I will record went to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to complain to the Prophet slice that I'm not to complain to the Prophet slice about Alma but seeking help from the profit slice alum so that Omar would forgive him. He's not going to the profit slice I'm and saying, you know, I don't know what's wrong with Omar. He's hot headed. He has all these
issues. Right? We never seem to see eye to eye although Mercury goes to the profit slice and this is what he says. He says, Listen, I had an argument with Ahmed and I was wrong.
The first thing he says was, I was wrong. But then I asked Allah for forgiveness and he wouldn't forgive me. And somehow Allah Allah was on his way on what he was looking for Abu Bakar to forgive him to tell him you know, let's forget about him to forgive him. And on our finds Abubakar sitting with the Prophets lie Selim and as he's walking towards the prophets lie some hon Beckett all the alongside hustler slice num stands up and his face turns red. And he looks at Omar with such anger that Abu Bakr stands up and says, yeah rasool Allah I was wrong.
It wasn't him it was me. I made the mistake almost coming from a distance and the profit slice and I was angry.
And when amaro the Allah on who comes what is the profit slice I'm saying
He says Listen, each and every single one of you. When I came with the message to you initially you gave me a hard time. All of you gave me issues when I first came with the message to you
except for this man, except for Abu Bakar on the law Tada and as soon as the prophesy son came double bucket with the muscles of the back, it'll be a law on reset. I believe you, I support you. I've got your back. So the prophets like some says, except for Abeka. And can you imagine that the prophets like Saddam Hussein to amaro the low tide and who * Anton Tarik Ed saw heavy are you going to leave my companion alone? Are you going to leave my friend alone? Yes, it's always the prophets lie Simon elbow Birkin and Omar but no one in Islam can have the position of Abu Bakar. Why? Because he was with him. In his most vulnerable moments, Allah Allah, Allah, he was Sunday. And
so when the prophets lie Selim was passing away, and also was like someone's giving his last hotspot. And all of the Sahaba had their gates, their doors to the masjid. The prophets lie, some says, Listen, each and every single one of you, who has done a favor for me, I've been able to repay, he said except for Abu Bakr, and he's saying I've never been able to pay Abu Bakar back.
I can't pay him back. There is nothing I could possibly do to pay him back. So he says so do and he had an app.
Go ahead and shut all of these gates. Except for the gate of Abu Bakr Radi Allahu Tada and
leave his gate to the masjid open, close all of the other doors to the masjid because he was there when no one else was there. And you can imagine when the prophets lie Selim, it wasn't just with one companion when the prophets lie some went back to Mecca, it was his hometown. You remember when the prophets lie, some was leaving Mecca, and he's taking the dirt from the ground the prophets lie some was crying, looking at Mecca and saying well lie. Had your people not expelled me I would have never left. And now he's coming back. And Mecca is a community of believers and he can stay there. But guess what? The unsought took the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in when the people of Makkah
expelled. And so what did the Prophet slicin I'm doing? He went back with the on site, he went back to the land that he was deported to can you imagine a person, you know, leaves in exile, escaped persecution in their homeland, and their homeland says come back, and you be our leader? And he says, No, I'm gonna stay in the place that I was deported to. I'm gonna stay in the place of exile. Why? It's not because of Medina. It's because of the people of Medina. It's because of the unsought it's because of what they did for him. sallallahu alayhi wa sallam when no one else was there for him. I know his Salafi was set up. He didn't forget those people. And he knows something about the
prophets of Allah and he was salam And subhanAllah. I intended for this only to be an introduction to the hotel. You know why? Because these are wonderful stories, but how does it become practical reality in our lives? You know something about the prophets lie Selim, his loyalty to the people went beyond what they expected of him. You know, it's one thing when you know, someone has to remind you and say, Look, I was there for you, when no one else was there for you. And then you come to your senses and you say, All right, you know, Doc, Mala head, thank you and, and I love you and I appreciate you the prophets like Selim always went above and beyond what was expected of him. Java
will the Lord who narrates he says in the Battle of her name.
After the battle, this old woman does shoveled you know, all via she's a Bedouin woman. She's disheveled. She's really old. She walks up to the Prophet slice I'm and this is when the prophets lie. Some is at his peak, just think about, he's surrounded by the best of the people. The people adore him. sallallahu alayhi wa salam, he is their leader. And she walks up to him and says, I still have the bite marks on my back from when you were a kid.
Selim says, you know, he says to in a very respectful way, who are you? And she says, I am a shaman. Ventile Hadith.
This was the daughter of Halima Sardinia, the woman who nursed the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. She was the sister of the prophets lie Selim Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam hadn't seen this woman in 60 years, and almost 60 years. And Jagga Radi Allahu Anhu says that we were amazed by how the prophets lie some treated her but also last Lysa Salam aka your Kabila. He took her and he started to kiss her forehead and kissed her head, this old woman that was the shovel and he grabbed her by the hand sallallahu alayhi wa salam and he walked with her. And the Prophet slicin M says Mohammed yoke the marhaba marhaba gnocchi. Marhaba starts greeting her my dears
Mr. Welcome. And he says that the prophets lie Selim had his border. And Missoula say somebody had his cloak and he took his cloak off and he put it under a tree. And he sat her down on that cloak and the prophets lie some satin the dirt outside of the sheep,
Hunt Allah and the prophets lie Selim started to ask about her. How have you been? How is your family? How is your tribe? You know, where have you been for all of these years? What have you been going through? And Jabiru the Allah Allah says the prophets lie some he laughed with her, then he cried with her. Then he laughed with her, then he cried with her. Then he laughed with her and he cried with her until the sun started to set. Meaning they spent all day talking, catching up on the last 60 years. And also how about waiting for, you know, the next step? What's the next move? Until finally the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam? He says to her listen to reading and a comment and
Mary, do you want to stay with me? You want to come live with me? Will kilometer wise desert and you'll be honored? I'll treat you with every you know, with generosity, you'll be taken care of? Or do you want to return to your family? It's up to you. What do you want to do? So she said the auto sorta law I've left behind my family, my children, my life. I've left it all back over there. So I want to go back.
And jabot will the law analysis of the prophets lie some quickly when he got the best camel he could find? He went and he bought clothes. He wouldn't he bought food. He took her and he assisted her onto that camera. And the profit slice on walked with her all the way to her area to her city back to where her tribe resided. And the entire way the profit slice and I'm was asking, are you okay? Are you comfortable? Do you need anything? That's why messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. That's who he was. He never forgot people. He never treated them any differently. He never showed them any form of disloyalty. And the point that I want to make here is that a lot of times when we talk about
loyalty, and we talk about what that you know, how we talked about it loyalty is that I would take a bullet for you, I would die for you, well, more than likely, you're not going to be placed in a situation where you're gonna have to take a bullet for somebody, and you're gonna have to die for somebody, or you're gonna have to cover them the way the Sahaba covered the profit slice. And better and more than likely, you're not going to be placed in that situation. But loyalty is how you treat them every single day of your life.
And what
is the love and the consideration that you give to those people. And by the way, a lot of times we restrict this and we only talk about the parents and the parents have a position that no other person can possibly have. Allah subhanaw taala associated his right to be worshipped with the right of the parents to be respected and honored. Why because just as Allah brought you into absolute existence, your parents brought you into existence in the partial sense. And just as a lot guided you in the absolute sense, your parents guided you in the partial sense they were there for you, when no one else was there free. So no matter what you never have the right to not show them that
love in that respect in that honor. Even after they pass away, you still owe them you still have to show loyalty stuff, you still have to make do out for them. You still have to give charity on their behalf every single day of your life, you should not allow them to escape your memory but you know what, what about everybody else in life.
And unfortunately, we live in this age of narcissism where it's all about your own happiness and your own happiness whether that makes the entire world unhappy, it's okay as long as you're happy. As long as I'm happy and we go through these phases and we torture people through our phases Subhanallah we torture people through our phases you go through a midlife crisis and then instead of wanting to buy a new car you want to go get a second wife
not because you want to you know take care of a widow or fulfill any type of meaningful sooner but hey you know I need a change in life I need to move on almost all the a lot of times I'm a woman wants a man once came to a model the allotted time everyone says that you know I want to divorce my wife or mother with the low tide and who says you know why? Why all of a sudden Do you want to divorce your wife? He says that
I don't like her anymore. I don't love her anymore. Things have changed. She's not attractive anymore.
She's not the same anymore. MashAllah you have that liberty
to you know, have your face. I don't love her anymore. All model the Allah Tada Andrew says, and are all homes built upon love.
Right our homes just built upon love. Is that what it is? Is that the only thing that that's required just to help, right? Help to bend it to Utah will help. Is that all right?
He says for Aigner, rehire, what's,
where's your sense of appreciation? And courtesy? Where is it? Where's your sense of appreciation? Where's your sense of responsibility? Where's your sense of you know, you stood by me and very difficult times.
You know why she has stretch marks because she was giving birth to your kids.
Where's that sense of love and responsibility, and thank you, when no one else stood by me in my difficult times, you were there. And now you go through a phase and you no longer take a person into consideration when you go through your teenage phases. So you go through your, you know, your grown up face, and then all of a sudden, your parents are no longer your parents, and you start talking to them differently. Right?
They were there for you. They were there for you, with your old friends and your old companions. Because a lot of times we move on in life, and are moving on and our new attitude comes with our newfound success. And then all of a sudden,
you know, it's no longer those people. That's not the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu. It was Sunday. That's not who he was. And there were people that loved you. And that stood by you, when there was absolutely no reason for them to benefit in this world. Nothing.
And they prayed for your success. And all they wanted to see was goodness in you. And the only thing you can give them is that I would die for you. And you know what, if you're ever in a car accident, and you ever need a kidney, I'll be there for you. Doesn't work that way. It's a daily form of respect and appreciation and consideration. It's a daily recognition. It's a daily form of sugary, but the prophets like Selim used to give to the people around, he never wants to the mount has an unbeliever hang on Allah to Allah says that because of one week of torture that beloved, the law and who faced Missoula say some never let him see a sad day in his life after that.
It was with him slicer, he reminded him, even when they don't come to you and say, Hey, remember what I did for you. You need to remind them of what they did for you. You need to remind them and you need to thank them for the way that they stood by you in those difficult times. Because if you are not like that with the people, you are not like that with Allah subhanaw taala. And that's a disease of ingratitude, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam tried to root out of our behaviors, and the Prophet slicin them emphasized this sense of Elwha the sense of loyalty, with each and every single person that stood by you and your difficult moments. So continue to go through
your phases, we all will, we will all change and we'll go through a million and you know what, subhanAllah one of the most beautiful things in the world is when you see people will lie. It's amazing. You see people that have been married for 67 years, and they still bicker all the time.
But there's this just this this sense of respect and love, and companionship.
Why? Because yeah, it's not exciting anymore. But you were there for me when times weren't so exciting in life, you were there. Don't ever fail to appreciate those people. Don't ever fail to take them into consideration. As you go through your dark moments, don't drag them into your darkness.
Continue to protect them and protect their happiness the way they try to protect yours. And don't stop making your art for them. And just as you say that you would die for them live for them as well. We ask that we ask Allah subhanaw taala to grant us that quality and to make us have people that show gratitude to our parents that show gratitude to our spouses that show gratitude to our siblings that so gratitude to our children that so gratitude to our friends, to our teachers, to those that stood by us in our difficult times. We ask Allah Subhana Allah Allah to grant us the opportunity to repay them in this dunya so that we are not held accountable for them on the in the
hereafter. Allah Amina Kurokawa was stuck a lot he will accompany settler Muslim infested Pharaoh in the hole will afford him.
