Accept all of our abilities in the past
year and the years before, and we ask
him to kind of valid to forgive all
of our sins.
So
as an occupation for all of us to
do more
and to do better in the next year,
Today, inshallah, we'll talk about
Jannah, paradox. And everyone, of course, everyone wants
to go to Jannah. How does it look
like? And what are the expectations
over there? So I think this is a
very good topic to begin the new year
with.
And, in the so
the prophet used to pray to the
and he said, what do you pray? How
what do you say in Usulah? How do
you pray in your prayers? What do you
say? So the man said, You Rasulallah,
after I say my teshah before I eat
salaam now, I say, You Rasulallah, give me
paradise and protect me from the hellfire.
Then the man said,
You Rasulullah, oh, prophet of God, I cannot
make fancy
du'as, complicating
the sophisticated prayers like you do in Mu'adh.
So the prophet
said, well,
all our prayers, it walk around
paralyzed and perfection for the hellfire.
And the prophet
also used to give good news to his
companions like the Sahaba.
So he said, I saw Jannah, and I
saw Jannah, and I saw Jannah,
and I saw Jannah, and I saw Jannah,
and I saw Jannah, and I saw Hamza,
the alarm, who were flying to the couch.
And the prophet would say, I heard the
footsteps of Bilal in Jannah, and I heard
of my side in Jannah, and I saw
this in Jannah. In order to motivate all
of them, okay,
how
Jannah is described in hadith
and also in the Quran. Of course,
there are a lot of descriptions given in
the Quran and in Hadith
and all the descriptions given are only to
make it easy for you to imagine, but
this is not the actual description.
Okay. So, now imagine
if you are describing a laptop or an
iPad to someone who lived a 1000 years
ago.
Which world would you use?
You're gonna use something that big so you
can access the web which is something is
much bigger. So, you can order something online,
amazon.com?
Okay, dude. Well, they don't know what you're
talking about. So this is the description giving
you the Quran. So it talks about the
food, it talks about the quality of life,
it talks about how you live, and so
on and so forth. But this is not
the actual thing. It is only to make
it easy for you to understand.
That of which no eye has ever seen,
and that which no ear has ever heard,
and that which no heart has ever perceived.
It is something imaginable. It is something that
he cannot imagine or comprehend.
Okay. So this is the description given in
the Quran and the Hadith.
The Quran talks about the liberals and the
ranks, and the Hadith also the Musa says
that in Jannah, there are a 100 ranks.
The distance between
one rank and the other is like the
distance between the heavens and the earth, beside
this.
The prophet
talks about the the reward of the lowest
of the whole, like someone who would be
in the basement of.
This is the lowest of the low.
So the
So this person did something wrong in this
world, so he he will get a punishment.
But, eventually, he will go to Jannah. So
this is the last one who will get
out, and he will be the last one
to go to Jannah. So the prophet says,
this person is a man who will give
out of Jannah, and this person will be
crawling on all fours.
Then he will be told both paradise and
gives your place over there. So he will
go, and when he enters, he will think
that all the places are taken. So, he
will come back as a what is this
everything is taken nothing is left for me.
Then Allah will say go again and you
will find your reward which is 10 times
the size of this world. So, the person
will say go Allah, you're making fun of
me and you are the king?
So because he couldn't he couldn't believe it,
then Allah's kind of, I would say, just
just go. So the prophet
smiled
when
he he said that the man will say,
yeah, Allah, you're making fun of me? Then
the prophet
smiled.
The Hadith describes
the gates of Jannah. The the prophet
says that they are 8, and this is
also the Quran. And the Hadith says,
So the distance between
the two doors of 1 gate. We're not
talking about the 8 gates. We're talking about
1 gate. The distance between
the 2 doors of 1 gate is 40
years of walking.
So the prophet
says, one door, the distance one gate, the
distance between the two doors is 40 years
of walking. And the day will come
when this distance just one door would be
overcrowded people can't walk because there are so
many people who are entering that place. So,
inshallah always gives us some hope.
The food is described
in the Quran
that whatever you wish for, it could be
life there in front of you.
So I know that it's
the migration
season for bees, for example. So you see
the bees flying over there. You don't have
to shoot. You don't have to do anything.
You just think of the goose. I wanna
eat this. It will just land on you
with all the food, with all the stuff,
all that everything that you wish for will
be right there.
You see our fruit, you love to eat
it,
it will come close to you.
The
fruit will come to you.
The drinks, the gen man talks about the
drinks, it talks about rivers of honey, rivers
of milk, rivers of water, rivers of wine
that does not intoxicate,
and so on and so forth. And now
that the person eats and drinks, they don't
have to go to the washroom
because everything will come out in the form
of sweat and it will will be like
musk.
Okay.
If you want to go somewhere in Jannah,
you don't have to buy a car. You
don't have to take a train or the
bus. You just think
about going there, and you'll be right there.
So in this case, you don't have to
worry about gas prices. You don't have to
worry about a car or car insurance. You
don't have to worry about the police officers
getting used speeding tickets all the time. Just
you think and you are there.
And, of course, you don't have to worry
about paying taxes. You don't have to worry
about the suffering and the misery misery in
this life. So this is the quality of
life
there. The dust of earth is made of
mud and herbs.
Okay? So these are some some some of
the qualities. You don't have to worry about
waking at night in.
You don't have to worry about waking at
night in Ramadan to do tarweh. You don't
have to wake up in the morning to
pray fast. You don't have to fast for
17, 18 hours during the day just like
you do it Ramadan. You don't have to
pay 10, 15,000
dollars to go to the pilgrimage in Mecca.
Nothing.
So
what are some of the qualities
of Na'i, the pleasures of people in get
in Jannah? Number 1,
for me, this is what I think. The
the best pleasure that you get in Jannah
is
to relax,
because this world is so
filled with misery and injustices
and pain and suffering and horrible things. If
you don't believe me, you just look at
the news in the morning. You'll get depressed
for the rest of the year.
ISIS and politics and Afghanistan and Iraq and
Syria and Palestine, you look you you think
what is going on in the world? What
is this? Okay. It's a miserable world. So
when people go there,
no more injustices, no more suffering, Alhamdulillah.
And all the miserable people that you see
around you all the time,
whether we're talking about work or school or
family, there are some people
that whose biggest joy of life is to
make you miserable.
The happiest moment of their life is to
ruin your life. You see them everywhere. You
know, just like I look for a bit
like you don't know what I'm talking
about. So you will go there
and nothing of that sort will exist. And
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is telling us in
the Quran, and this is what the Radama
say, that the biggest joy that you have
in Jannah, you'll have no worry,
no envy, no jealousy. This is why in
the Quran it says,
They'll be reclining
on their best facing one another. Why?
Because in this world, when you give your
back to someone, it means you have something
against them. You don't like them, there's jealousy,
there's envy, but nothing of that sorrowful exists
in Genesis. So, why would you give someone
your back? So this is why the Quran
always said that the people will be facing
each other
in Jannah.
You don't have to worry about dying or
leaving Jannah, and you don't have to worry
about being taken out.
If someone goes to Jannah, the hellfire of
ayatul and that there is hope for them
that eventually, insha'Allah, he will go to Jannah.
Someone is Muslim, they did some bad things
in Dunya, they'll get the punishment. Eventually, they
will go to Jannah at the end, paradise.
But if someone goes to Jannah, it is
impossible for them to be in house. Walhanuunhirnhaabu
Nufrajim.
So Allah says they will never be taken
out and they will live there forever.
Our biggest 2 biggest words in this life
is that you will die and you will
leave all the good things behind you, the
money, the house, the car, the job, all
the good stuff,
or it will be taken away from you.
You're gonna lose everything. So these are the
2 biggest words in life. So Allah Subhanahu
Wa'ala is giving us,
guarantee in the Quran that you will never
be taken out, and it's not gonna be
taken away from you. So just put your
heart at ease.
Okay?
So this is also another sort of pleasure
that the people would have there.
Also,
meeting the good people that we hear about.
You hear about the prophets. The prophet Joseph
and Ibrahim, Abraham, and Moses, and Jesus, and
Muhammad
You'll see all these prophets, and you'll you'll
be able to talk to them. You will
be able to see Rasool Allah in front
of you and elevate. You will see
that we hear about all our lives. We'll
be able to see them and talk to
them.
And, of course, the greatest pleasure of all
is looking at the face of Allah subhanahu
wa'ala. Hadith society
After the people of Jannah will go to
Jannah, Allah
will call the people of paradise and say,
is there anything else that you wish me
to give you? They will say, yeah.
What more can we ask for? You have
given us zenna. You have protected us from
the hellfire.
What else can we hope for? Then Allah
will show himself to the believers,
and they will never get anything in paradise
better than looking at the face of the
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. We ask the Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala to give us Jannah and
to help us do whatever will get us
close with.
Maybe you didn't spend enough time with your
father, maybe he died young or something,
maybe your mother.
In Jannah, you will be with everyone.
And Allah subhanahu wa'ala, by his mercy,
because all of us will not be at
the same level in Jannah. I just mentioned
that there are 100 devils in Jannah.
So maybe
your father will be in the limit, like,
number 77, you would be in the middle
of 60, you would never 90.
So Allah subhanahu, out of his grace, he
will bring
all together.
So the ayat in the Quran
say that the family members will be together
in Jannah, like the father and the mother
and the children who will be all together
over there.
So to bring people from different levels together,
there are 2 options. Either
Allah will reduce some from the higher level
levels to the lower levels, and
Allah will never do something like this because
he is a khein. He's the most generous.
So what Allah will do, he will raise
those who are in lower levels to those
who are in higher levels so that those,
they will be together. Because a person's joy
and pleasure in Jannah would not be complete
until this person is joined with his beloved
ones. So this is what the Ummaz say.
And, yes, you will be in Jannah, and
your wife will also be there. And when
I say this, it tells us sometimes as
bad news to some people, oh my gosh,
my wife is coming after me. What is
this? And I remember one of the scholars
was
And, you know, all the good things. There's
no snow in Jannah. There's
no sun. There's no snow. It's the moderate
all year long. So the emotions are getting
gray lines like beer.
Then the sheikh said, then later down to
your wife and then oh my gosh. Are
we still are we still talking about paradise
here or this is somewhere else?
So how do we how do we get
there? How do we go there? Number 1,
faith is good. It's good to have faith
in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, but also you
have to back this up by doing, working,
good deeds.
Just to not do anything and have high
expectations, you're just you're just making a fool
of yourself. So you have to support the
the faith and the belief with good deeds.
And number 2,
to go there, you have to follow the
example of Rasulullah.
You cannot get closer to the most power
battle, or you cannot get to this honorable
position in Jannah without following the
everyone will go to Jannah, everyone of my
followers will go to Jannah except those who
refuse.
So the Sahaba said, yeah, how
can someone refuse? How can just someone refuse
to go to paradise? The prophet
says, those who obey me will go, and
those who refuse to obey me will not
go.
And so on and so forth, there are
so many ways getting the Hadith and also
in the Quran. We're gonna believe that this
will be be, continue some other time.
