AI: Summary ©
I bear witness that there is none worthy
of our worship except Allah
And I bear witness that Muhammad salallahu alayhi
wa sallam is the seal of the prophets
and the final messenger to all of humanity.
Whoever Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala guides, there is
none to misguide.
And whoever Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala leaves astray,
there is none to guide. Alright?
So I have to start with a summary
of both this Khutba and the one before
because I got a request
that, there are some newcomers and they don't
speak English, so I have to do, some
Arabic at the beginning InshaAllah.
So in the last 2 Khutba's over the
last couple of weeks, we spoke about the
concept of fitrah that Allah instilled, ingrained in
us. When we come up out of the
wounds of our mothers, we come with this
fitra to accept Allah
as our Lord
and to be good people.
This is what all the prophets came with.
They have faith in Allah, good relationship with
Allah, and they do good to the creation
of Allah
Every human being is born with this fitrah
as the Prophet
said, but it is society
that corrupts this fitrah in the human being.
And last time we said there are so
many things we can learn from little kids.
We just as Allah says
in the Quran,
walk around in the land
and look and reflect and learn from everything.
There's nothing wrong
if we learn from kids, if we learn
from animals and birds as Allah
says in the Quran. And I mentioned one
example
in one case, Sharad al Nusul, they say
in Tafsir that the Sahaba were told,
when they were told to make hijrah from
Makkah to Madinah,
some of them said, okay. We leave everything
behind.
We have no job there. We have no
business. Who is gonna take care of us?
And the ayah was revealed, wakaayim
min dabbatin,
latakmilu ristaha Allah wayazuqoha
wa iyakum.
It says,
Allah is telling them in this ayah and
the Quran, don't worry.
Look at the animals and the birds. They
don't walk around carrying Mastercards. They don't walk
around carrying their fridges.
I provide for them all the time. He's
telling them, look at the animals and the
birds and learn from them. Even the Sahaba
were told,
don't worry about rizq. I will take care
of you just like I take care of
animals and birds, even the Sahaba are told.
Wallahi, this is amazing.
One of the things that we learn from
the sahabah as we mentioned sorry, from little
kids, as we mentioned last time,
is that they are very logical in their
approach. There's no racism,
there's no lying, there's no cheating, but subhanallah,
later in life they pick up these things.
And I mentioned the example of the kids
in the daycare.
You go there, mashallah, they're young. I'm talking
about the age of 2, 3, 4, 5,
this young age.
Their kids, Africans, Asians, Latinos, they are playing
together, eating together. There's no problem.
But when they grow older,
they they they develop this concept of, I'm
better than you. You are from this nation.
You are from this culture. I'm better than
you, and you're inferior to me. And they
become flexible with the truth, AKA they lie
when they grow older because this is something
they pick from their parents.
And when they grow older, we said that
when they are young, they believe in 1
God, in the fitra,
and they are good people,
but
you know, when people grow older, they pick
their parents' beliefs.
They start to worship another human being, they
start to worship an animal, they start to
worship aslam, idols, and statues, and so on
and so forth.
So we need to go back to the
fitrah that Allah
instilled in us.
And we gave the example of the kids
when they ask for something from you,
they bug you. And this is something we
learn from kids when you make dua to
Allah
as we said last time. They woke around
you in the store,
blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, my candy, toy,
toy, toy. Like they they make your head
explode
to a point where you run away from
them. And the store manager will say, who
is this kid? You say, I don't know.
But he looks like like you.
It doesn't matter. You know? So when you
make du'a to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
talk like kids. Ask Allah day and night.
Don't give up. And cry if you have
to just like kids do.
And they end up getting what they ask
from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Allah will give
them at the end. So this is a
technique we learn from little kids.
So we spoke about these things last time.
So today inshaAllah I'm gonna give,
some tips of naseeha from Imam al Suyood
in his book, Khasr al Muhadah.
He spoke about little kids
and what we can learn from them. And
he said, number 1, the number one thing
we should learn from kids,
They don't worry too much about because
they know that someone is taking care of
them, and the parents and the family.
They have no problem. They don't have to
steal. They don't have to lie because they
know someone is taking care of them. They
put the tawakkul
on their parents, Allah subhanahu wa'ala because, you
know, they have no one except their parents.
So they put their trust in that. Knowing
that someone will provide for them. They are
carefree.
And Imam Ibn Al Qayib Rahimahullah,
learn from the kids. They know because this
is part of the footwa,
when Allah closes one door for them, 2
doors will open.
Allah will not let them down.
So, when they are inside the womb with
their mothers and Allah is providing through one
door which is the umbilical cord, al hablis
suri.
Once they come out of their mother and
this umbilical cord is closed,
Allah opens 2 doors. You know, their mother
will nurse them using 2 doors, right and
left. So one door closes, 2 doors will
open.
And Imam Al Qayyim says, when the baby
is weaned and the Futtah,
these two doors are closed and Allah opens
thousands of other doors. You can eat fruits,
vegetables, rice, biryani,
everything is is in front of you. So
he said, learn from this. When one door
is closed of rizq, Allah will open so
many others. So don't worry too much.
You don't have to worry about rizq. Yes.
You work. You go to school, you go
to work, but don't worry too much. Allah
will provide you if you do your part,
you do your best, Allah will take care
of the rest. Some people have a problem
with this when it comes to risk,
and this explains
why some people steal, and lie, and cheat,
and take bribes, and so on and so
forth.
Because
they don't have Husnu Tawakkur Allah.
They feel like the risk is not coming
to them
unless they do something Haram.
And I gave the example before, and I'm
sorry to say again, when I see a
Muslim selling something haram or doing something haram
and they say, well, I have to do
it because who's gonna pay my bills, who's
gonna feed my family?
Well, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala was taking care
of you when you were you were in
the womb of your mother. Allah has provided
to the birds and animals. Do you think
Allah will not be able to provide for
you?
The one who created the heavens and the
earth, the sun and the moon and the
stars
is not able to give you a loaf
of bread? What's wrong with you? You know?
And the prophet
explained this in a beautiful hadith.
If you are able to frame this hadith
and put it in your house, wallahi, this
hadith should be enough for you. The prophet
said,
So in this beautiful hadith, the Prophet SAW
Alaihi Wasallam says, it's an amazing hadith.
The Prophet SAW Alaihi Wasallam said, there is
nothing
that brings you closer to Jannah, except I
told you to stay away from,
and there is nothing that brings you closer
to Jannah, except I told you to do.
Then the Prophet
said, Jibreel alaihi salam inspired to me, revealed
to me that no one will leave this
dunya without taking the risk and their ajat,
their life in this world in full.
No one will die before they take all
the risk and they live their entire life.
They're not dying a minute before or after.
Then the prophet
said, half stop was,
and take your risk in a haram way
because it is coming to you anyway.
Don't be impatient and take it in Haram
way. Yes. Do your part, work, and Allah
will give you the risk.
And the most beautiful example to explain this
hadith, the story I mentioned like 2 years
ago,
the story of Alib Nabu Talib radiAllahu.
So the essence of the story is Allah
has given me your risk is a in
a halal way. You're impatient, you take it
in haram and you give punishment at the
end. So Alib Nabu Talib radiAllahu was traveling
with his servant one day and based on
this narration it seems they missed salah or
something, so they got inside the masjid to
pray.
And they had a nice horse outside,
amazing horse with a serge,
a saddle on the back of the horse,
colorful serge saddle.
So, there was a guy sitting in front
of the Masjid,
and Aliyah Alaihi Salam who said, will you
please keep an eye on my horse until
I pray and come out? He said, yes.
We must all on him. No problem. Just
sore and yoke. Go go and pray. Mabishm
Shekelah.
So, after Ali alaihiallahu anhu and his servant,
they finished, on the way out, Ali alaihiallahu
anhu was saying, I think we should give
this man
$20
for keeping an eye on my horse.
They came out,
the horse was there, and the man stole
the surge, the saddle on the back of
the horse. Turned out the man was a
hearses,
a chor, a thief, took. He stole the
surge and he ran away. So, Alaihi Radhaala
said,
and he sent his servant to the market
to buy a new saddle, a serge.
Sure enough, he went to the market and
he found the thief
standing there,
selling the saddle, the saddle on the back
of the horse, selling it for $20.
You were getting $20 anyway,
but he was impatient.
So we ask Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to
give us halal.
The second thing with the children according to
Imam Suyuti,
they never protest the qadarullah.
Even if they fall sick, if something bad
happens to them, they never
ever point the finger to Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala.
Maybe they cry,
maybe they can't sleep at night, but they
will never blame Allah for whatever problem that
happened in them.
Unlike
some of us, I've seen cases, oh,
people have kids, I don't have kids. People
have a big house, I don't have a
house. Why Allah, you did this to me?
And so on and so forth. People complain
all the time.
So if something good happens to them, they
say, because I'm a smart guy, I'm intelligent.
If something bad happens to them,
they never blame themselves. They blame Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala. And the kids never do this.
I remember when you point the finger
towards someone and put the blame on them,
remember one finger is pointing to them and
4 are pointing toward you. So something bad
happens to you, you should question yourself. What
did I do?
So they never questioned the Qal Ummah. And
I remember one of the brothers told me,
one day he was walking with a brother
in a new city, and masha Allah they
have villas and palaces and how Hagar said,
Tagamu Al Khamskira and Dinaf Mosque. And the
guy was walking with his friend and he
said,
Where were we
when Allah was giving out these palaces and
villas? Like we didn't get anything. What happened?
Allah has a problem with us or something?
So his friend told him,
If you go to the intensive care unit
in the hospital,
and you look at the sick people, the
dying people, you should ask the same question.
Where were you when Allah was giving out
all these illnesses and sicknesses? The cancer, the
diabetes. Where were you?
You shouldn't blame Allah, you shouldn't question Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. You should put full trust
in the father of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Number 3,
he said that the kids,
they eat together.
And this is something amazing about kids
because they have full trust that someone is
providing for them. They eat together. They're not
hiding things from one another. Maybe this is
something they do later in life when they
learn
from us, grown ups.
When they see the greed and so on
and so forth. And subhanAllah, I was reading
some statistics.
This world, this dunya,
there is in this world
in terms of the fruits, the vegetables,
the the beans,
the fish, the meat, the chicken, the cows,
the buffalos, all the food in the world
is enough
to provide for people in this world several
times over.
Several times over. We have enough risk in
this world to take care of everyone in
this world several times over. But how come
that 40 or 50% of the people are
below poverty line? The reason is that there's
1 or 2 percent in this world, they're
so greedy, they don't want to leave anything
for anyone.
Subhanallah, this is amazing.
Like a few years ago, 2010,
there was a guy in Germany, a businessman.
He had $11,500,000,000
and because of the economic crisis starting in
2008, he lost $2,000,000,000
He still was left with 9 point $5,000,000,000
He got so depressed.
He killed himself
because $9,500,000,000
was not enough for him. It was lower
than news in Germany, he threw himself in
front of a running train, and he was
killed innocently. And, alhamdulillah, the train is okay.
So people don't have, yami tawakul Allah,
and there is this greed. Whatever they find,
they just take. Even, subhanallah, will lie, some
people in this world.
If they live a 100 years,
they and their family and their grandchildren,
10 grandchildren
in the future, 10 generations,
they will not spend 5% of what they
have, but they they are still greedy.
And you hear stories about some rulers and
some tyrants,
their countries are poor, the people are suffering,
and they steal the resources of the countries,
and they take them to European banks, American
banks, and subhanAllah they freeze the assets, and
they take the money.
And the people are suffering their
they have nothing to eat and because of
greed, subhanAllah. So the kids, they don't have
this problem, they eat together.
Number 4, Ilimam Siyutih Rahimamalullah, he said,
even if they fight over toys and stuff,
the little kids, they quickly make peace with
one another.
And and this is very true, like they
fight over something, after 5 minutes
tribes
fought 40 years over a horse and in
one case over a camel.
And 100, if not thousands of people were
killed over a period of 40 years because
a horse was killed or a camel was
killed, and so on and so forth. In
1925
there was a small war
between Greece and Belgium
over a dog.
A dog crossed the border,
so the owner tried to bring the dog
back, and someone shot and killed him, and
they fought for, you know, some time and
some people were actually killed.
They call it the War of the Stray
Dog between Greece and Belgium.
People killing each other over a dog, and
the tension lasted for some time. I'm not
gonna talk about World War 1, World War
2, over a 100,000,000 people were killed
over nothing.
Right? So kids don't have these problems. We
ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to give us
the best in this life and
The last thing according to Imam al Su'uth
in his book, Prophet Muhammad, we should learn
from kids
is in difficult times,
they always have an authority to go to.
If something bad happens to one of them,
something terrible happens, they suffer from something,
they are afraid of something, they always cry
to their parents or their teacher. A higher
authority.
A higher authority. We and you,
like me and you, our higher authority is
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. So we should always
turn to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. They
run into an authority and this is something
we learn from them. They always have this
figure, this higher authority they always turn to.
When you're driving your car
and your kids are sitting in the back
seats,
they have full trust in you because they
know they trust you and they know you
would do you would do the best thing
for them.
You should have the same feeling when you
know that Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, is in
charge of your life and he would never
let you down. So keep all these,
examples in your mind inshallah. We ask Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala to give us the best
in this life and the best in the
life to come. We ask Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala to give us sincerity in everything we
say and do,
upon the request of some of the, some
in attendance inshaAllah.
1st Jum'ah, again inshaAllah will continue. We'll start
at 12:30,
but Salah will start at, 12:55.
2nd Jumah is going to start on time,
1:30,
and the Salah would be 155.
We we are going to fix it, because
people have to go to work and they
need to report to their,
boss and so on and so forth. So
inshallah, we'll be praying at these times. We
ask Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to give us
the best welcome, mister Salah.
