Musleh Khan – Ask Musleh – Should I pray 8 or 20 raka’at in Tarawih?

			Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh brothers and sisters and welcome back to ask Muslim in
this blessing month of shadow Ramadan. Today in short love we want to ask the billion dollar
question and that is a total carrots versus 20 little carrots in total we're a total carrots of
total we we discussed that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam used to pray this amount and
there was a certain method or style and how this is done. So where did 20 come from? Eventually, as

more than 300 Records a day, even taymiyah used to pray similar amounts every single day. And this
		

			is what human medical Rahim Allah when he was the man of Medina, he used to pray between 36 and 38
records of total, we, the people of Mecca used to always pray 21 and the reason for the differences
of course, after every photo cards, the people of Mecca used to perform tawaf, whereas the people of
Medina didn't have that option. So they would just continue praying. So clearly shows here, the
total we had does not have a specified amount, or else the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would
have told us this is the amount of total that I want you to pray. So I hope in sha Allah that
clarifies the eight versus the 20 little cards and shout Allahu taala. As the month progresses,
		

			we're going to talk about what happens to those individuals who choose not to pray the 20th or
choose not to follow the man in whatever the Imam or whatever the gemera or the masjid is praying,
what is going to be the ruling in terms of that situation. So we'll talk about that in sha Allah,
