Muhammad ibn Adam al-Kawthari – Powerful Reflections For 27Th Night Of Ramadan & Laylatul Qadr

			Salam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakato.

			as we spend the last few nights of Ramadan, and the last 10 nights and today's the 27th night
		

			and we look at the insights and reflections on these last 10 nights and specifically tonight and I
want to talk briefly about strengthening our relationship with Allah subhanaw taala would like to
also thank our beloved Academy for arranging arranging these webinars series
		

			and inviting various speakers
		

			to talk about different aspects relating to the month of Ramadan and the last 10 Nights etc. May
Allah subhanaw taala accept efforts bless everybody inshallah.
		

			I won't take too much of your all my time.
		

			Tonight is 27th night of Ramadan in Mobarak
		

			which could be Leila through butter.
		

			One of the things about later is this, that it is not possible
		

			to say with surety which night is Laila to other
		

			there are multiple opinions on which nucleated the other might be.
		

			And there are Hadith said the messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said seek it, search for it seek

			seek it on the 21st night on the 23rd nights and durations talk about 25th night 27th Night. So
there are multiple opinions of scholars looking at various Hadith.
		

			But most possible, it is most likely based on the majority opinion is that this night is most likely

			Most likely this particular blessing night it's a little Mobarak as well blessing night in the Quran

Allah's mercy. So, this particular night, most likely it occurs. Number one in Ramadan, and Mubarak

21st 23rd 25th 27th and 20 nights. And I think all five according to the many opinions of the
scholars all five equally possible. Some have then, additionally said also that 27 is more likely
from these as well from 2123 2527 and 29. Some have said that 27th is most more likely, but
majorities I think hold all of these odd nights of the last 10 nights as equally
		

			you know the likelihood nights in which Laylat recorded might take place. And also the issue is that
it's not like every Ramadan on the same night. It isn't Ramadan.
		

			And it could be anytime in Ramadan, it could be any night and number one, it could move around. So
this year it could be 27. Next year, it could be 29. The following year, it could be 21. The year
after it could be fifth of Ramadan.
		

			It moves around and we've been commanded to search for it search words meaning not spend and waste
time in searching and looking at the clouds and the skies and there's another time for looking at
the clouds and the skies and you know marveling at the creation of Allah
		

			I'm looking trying to look for some rays of sun etc, etc. And it's it's a bit late today and this
little other unethical, it's not that this is not the meaning of search for it searching for it
seeking it means that we
		

			make the most out of the night and do as much as possible in order to build our relationship in
order to build our connection with our Creator Allah Spanner data. Now, you see, we have to

one one in one answer because they're all connected. Why did Allah create this night and design it
and designated it and you know, highlight in this particular night, sort of the other not? Allah
didn't just just highlight it in simple terms that Allah revealed a whole Surah a hellhole surah in
the book of Allah Surah pada. Regarding this night, there is no other time regarding which Allah has
revealed a whole solar. There's no whole sort of sort of Ramadan, there's no sort of aid there is
		

			not there are many multiple we have these, you know blessing occasions and times and nights and
days.
		

			The Hajj time, the first 10 days of Ashura, the ninth 10th of Muharram fasting, and then we have
Siobhan is a very pleasant month. The whole month, mentioned in Hadith that the messenger Salallahu
Alaihe. Salam used to last quite a lot in Shabbat,
		

			Ramadan as a month, but there is no particular time regarding which Allah has revealed the whole
sunnah. There is another Surah after a particular time, which is similar to Joomla. There is a whole

we've been given signs and indications and certain duration is given. So it's not kept as abstract.
And as you know, like just not tell us at all. Like there's one night in the year. Seek it wasn't
like that. Ramadan, last 10 nights, the odd nights. So giving us like, you know, just giving us that
cake, but they're not giving it to it's like it's like the child in your hand. No, it's like you're
		

			you're so close yet so far.
		

			So close yet so far. This is the this is the whole you know, the way Allah has approached made a
little harder for us.
		

			Seek it, look for it, search for it. It might be there. It might be that it's probably here. It's
probably they'll give you some clues. Give you some hints. Okay, look for it. Okay, anyway, in this

you can't even enjoy this night, can't even enjoy food, even intimacy, even marriage is frowned

			Whereas Islam said No,

detach yourself from the world. Rather, Allah says no problem. Islam says, you earn, you work, you

the other extreme, where once you go into the dunya, you can completely detach yourself from the

just all day, night long, just worshiping worshiping and in the desert. And that's it. They are
detaching themselves from the dunya. But then
		

			some others can go to the other extreme, where they detach, they live as though they're never going
to have a second life. It's all about just this life. It's all about just making money here, it's
just about this. Now here present, forget about alcohol, they forget about Allah, they forget about
the real purpose of the existence, which is the eternal life preparing for that, so they can go to
that extreme.
		

			Islam wants us to be in the middle,
		

			balanced, where you live in this dunya you enjoy this dunya as well and you do all the things that
are necessary, but at the same time, your heart and mind and soul is connected to Allah to Africa to
the hereafter, you're always thinking about the ACARA the balance, and this is why Allah has made
these certain times in the year.
		

			The certain times for us as reminders, as a reminders, because we're in the dunya we might forget
about Allah as a reminder that remember, it's like you know,
		

			and these reminders are like constant. So like, for example, five times a day, five times a day,
prayers. So you wake up in the morning, first thing, you'd make a dua you pray, you offer your Salah
to the Fajr you make your morning of car yo yo concentrated on Allah you're thinking about Allah yo

			along comes from Allah food.
		

			Don't forget Allah, come back. Pray Allah. So you come back from the dunya and you go to Allah
again, you're going off for your bar, you can you connect your mind and the heart and the soul and
the spirit to Allah subhanaw taala and then, okay, you come back now lunch and carry on with the
rest of the day. After a few hours again, you might completely forget about Allah and Allah, the
real purpose of existence straightaway another reminder don't ask. So five times as a matter of
Asia, these are all daily reminders. And then there's a bigger reminder weekly reminders on how to

			and then throughout the year Allah has made these different different days Okay, first 10 days of
you know,
		

			will hija Hajj time once a year Ramadan and this is the whole purpose of why Ramadan is given
because 11 months
		

			of the year, okay, you're connected with the dunya. Ramadan, you come back, it's like once a year,
you fully focus on the real purpose of creation. And within Ramadan, the last 10 Nights, especially
for this, you know, this urbania as I said, we don't have this Rabbani and Islam, which is this
ministers ism and this,
		

			you know, detachment from the dunya. But just a flavor of it, just a taster of it is given in this
last 10 Nights. This is why we have our ticker, what's the purpose of our 10, cough, cough, bear
ticker for just give where it's a cough and basically means cutting yourself from all worldly
activities to the point that normally, normally it's wrong, to cut yourself from your family.
Normally, it's wrong not to talk to your family. Normally, it's wrong to avoid intimate
relationships with your family. But these last 10 Nights, it's a bit of the taster of like if you're
going in a desert, so this is you're going in a masjid. And you're detaching yourself completely.
		

			There's no intimate relationship with your, with your spouse. And you're just 10 days and 10 nights,
the last 10 days you've you are just completely detached from the dunya and connected to Allah. And

any of these 10 nights or they you know, equally worship Allah and connect themselves to align all
the 10 Nights. So this is these are just incentives, because really, it's all about connecting with
Allah Subhana Allah doesn't need a special night and we you know, Allah doesn't need this special
life to bless us. Allah is a highly of Ramadan and Shabbat on January February, he creates
		

			everything the night of Ramadan and outside Ramadan, they all belong to Allah Subhana Allah but
Allah is just giving us incentives to keep on turning to him, which means that the idea behind this
is that we connect to Allah through these weekly, daily monthly yearly reminders. And you know,
Allah has put these incentives, it keeps us connected. So that we don't disconnect too much keeps us
connected. This is the whole idea. So this is about later the other witches are very, very blessed
at night. And the whole Surah like I said, was revealed regarding Laila to the other night of other

mind, there's a lots of ways to connect to Allah. And I'm just going to end with this point, that
when we say we, you know, building a love for Allah subhanaw taala, connecting to Allah through
different ways, and that's a topic on its own. How do we create this special connection with Allah
		

			subhanaw taala? How do we connect with the mind with the heart with the soul spiritually? How do we
connect constantly through these reminders, but then it becomes such that our whole life, from the
moment we wake up to the moment we sleep every day, every week, every month, every year, for
eternity, for for the whole this life. And then of course, in Accra, but we are connected to Allah,
that's a topic on its own, there are different ways like we can go through like a list of 10
different ways in how we can build a very strong, a very powerful connection number, just two, I
just remembered, I forgot this when I said powerful. I was gonna say that why I don't say later the
		

			Night of Power, because little paddle has three meanings, just one minute. God
		

			means one meaning is decree. It's tackled from a duck de Adara, who took the euro. So it's a night

say the Night of Decree the Night of Power, the night of honor, and status. This is a meaning of
less than a quarter as well, the night of status and honor, meaning it's, we can also call it a
little Mubaraka because the other verse of the Quran says, a night of Barak a night of blessings. So
basically, you're connecting to Allah subhanaw taala in very many different ways. I talked about
some recently, I had a few lectures in different parts of the country here and I was going abroad as
well. I went through some of these ways, like there's one, connecting to Allah through sugar,
		

			gratitude. It's an amazing, powerful, amazing, powerful way of connecting to Allah. That's a topic
on its own, like counting your blessings, sugar and gratitude, the whole daily life connecting to
Allah. And this is why, you know, so many of our supplications and doors that we make to Allah has
the they begin with Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah means all Praise to Allah. It's thankfulness. It's
showing gratitude and
		

			There's other ways of connecting to Allah building a strong connection with him through the heart
through the mind through the Soul constantly thinking thinking but one I just want to talk about one
thing here which is dua just five minutes on this level and inshallah dua connecting to Allah,
Allahu Allah but I personally feel that there is nothing more powerful, there is nothing more
honorable, we can use the same laser cutter meanings, there is nothing more powerful, there is
nothing more honorable and nothing more prestigious and nothing more. Greater. Then, to add
supplication before Allah in building a connection with Allah dua itself, we need to like a couple
		

			of hours into ah there's so many issues, what is the definition of dua, how to make dua, what are

which you or I might think it's so insignificant, but ask Allah like suddenly, I'm just looking for
my phone. I dropped my phone somewhere. I was using a pen and he fell down.
		

			Islam is telling us if you want to constant connection with Allah, you don't even have to raise your
hands do ah
		

			it's better to raise hands.
		

			And one of the etiquettes but it's not a requirement to some two hours can be done without raising

			for our needs, but Allah is rewarding us. How amazing is that? We make dua to Allah. For us. We're
not making the art for Allah.
		

			We're not making dua for someone else. We should do that as well of course, but even for someone
else is kind of for us because we love that person, parents children, so it's still this game for
us. It's for us.
		

			But Allah says that you are making dua for your needs for you the needs of your family members and
your loved ones and your family and your relatives and your friends and your needs. I should reward
you for asking me. How amazing is that? A da
		

			da da who will regard to our is worship is the essence of worship. It's a bada and we can reward it.
That's the instant benefit of Da instant benefit is like straightaway. You want to connect
		

			receive reward
		

			in the dunya people get irritated when you ask keep keep asking. Allah is happy rather Allah is
angered.

			So dua itself is an act of reward. We can ask for our worldly needs. But I will mention one thing
