of that story will not drift away from it for long. It is the most commonly cited story in the book
of Allah as the origin, for many reasons. of those reasons that we can say quickly is that we were

supposed to be a reformer of heart, someone that worked with a betterment of his surroundings of his
society to reform the world from the ill the diseases that will trouble them time and time again.
		

			And so let us ask ourselves this question. How does me being a Muslim translate? Where's the
evidence that it translates into me being a source of Betterment benefit relief, help to the world
around me?
		

			You cannot be a Muslim, and have no visible fruits of your Islam on the outside, it doesn't match.
That's not what we were meant to be. Even by virtue of you practicing your personal worship
		

			would be already a betterment of society. Because you already appear different. Do you at least do
that much are you visibly Muslim? Our sisters May Allah bless them in their award them, they can't
really hide much.
		

			But really, if we are practicing outwardly proud fully,
		

			will we be able to hide some of the prayer times will land outside of the Masjid? Most of them
actually, some of the transactions and what we are just you're receiving giving, we will have to
abstain from certain things and be compelled to do certain others because of our moral framework
because of our morals as Muslims. So how does your Islam make you different? Forget? How does it
make the world different? How does your Islam make you different?
		

			And what is the value of your Islam? If it doesn't make you any different? What is the point of
saying I'm 100% Muslim, but I'm kind of like everybody else. There's something wrong there.
		

			You know, we always say that Islam leaves room for culture. And it certainly does. But you need to
make sure that those elements that you think are left to culture were actually left the culture
because some people just repeat Islam leaves room for culture, Islam leaves room for culture, until
it gets to a point where you feel like Islam has left the room for culture, only culture remains.
		

			And so Allah meant for the Muslims remember that on Ashura to be reformers at heart on different
levels for sure. But how do you reform yourself, your family, your community, the world for the
better? How are you engaged in bettering the world? Are you concerned enough about bettering the
world which is the first thing
		

			the second thing is that
		

			I want to say very quickly the story of Musa alayhis salam, this huge story. Ashura is the
culmination of it like we always like to talk about the great day and we should, because this is one
of the days that Allah's power became so visible and he commanded us in the Quran, with Akira, whom

him, grows him, develops him until Allah becomes his number one concern, and his number one fixation
Wallahi. We know many people that work for social reform, social justice relief efforts that quit.
Because they lost sight of this, they saw just so much pain, or the process took so long that they
gave up they lost hope.
		

			But when Allah is your fixation, you don't ever lose hope you don't ever lose when you don't ever
lose strength.
		

			And many others don't take part in any sort of social reform, because of fears. Let's be honest with
each other. Many of us think about going to the voting booths, I saw the registration table. And
whether you vote or not, you should still be registered, make sure on your way out, you pick a form
up, many of us are registered and then you think about going to the voting booth. And then you see
the demographics on the line being in certain parts of the country, and you get intimidated and so
you drive away, or you don't go all together.
		

			And the measurement or himolla used to say, let's also mark if that hadn't
		

			had you been healthy enough, you wouldn't have feared anybody. So that process of fixating Allah on
Allah to the point that you purge all of these fears, that is something you can't overlook. That was
a big part of the development of Musa Alehissalaam into being able to actualize social reform. And
by the way, this is not just the fear of the tyrant, and the fear of the bully. It is also the fear
of the masses. Many people don't even want to say a word not that you should just say any word too
much talking happens on social media anyway. But because they are afraid they do want they want to
posture the right way. They're always afraid that someone is going to save that and screenshot it
		

			and end their their credibility in the public light. That is a big fear people have as well. And
people that can cower away from the masses, the public the pressure of opinion, right are no more
dignified than the people that buckle in front of the pressure of the tyrants, the oppressors it's
the same thing. And so to get all of that out of his system was a slow gradual process that the
Quran actually showed us in detail how he became who he was. I think he's salaam, a whole Holyhead

people fighting with a cop of the command. And so quickly, he assumed one was the troublemaker and
the other one was the victim. And so he went to defend the man from Begusarai against the Coptic
man. And he accidentally it definitely was an accident. The Prophet SAW Selim said that he killed
		

			this man. He underestimated his own strength and with one strike demand die. And then the next day
he saw the same Coptic man from his group,
		

			picking a fight with someone else.
		

			And so he realized then that he messed up, he was dragged into a fight, that would actually hurt his
own cause. And his people suffered for at least another 10 years, because of that premature
pushback, how you push back basically, against injustice.
		

			And I say that to remind you that there are so many calls nowadays worthy calls, we see so much
injustice nowadays. Be careful of bandwagoning on anybody else's project blindly.
		

			You see that anything is being used now for the sake of the election year, anything and everything.
Do not allow your love for justice, to allow you to do things that could lead to decades of
injustice.
		

			That could hurt so many people. I'm not saying be paralyzed by your fear of that. But at the same
time, we shouldn't be afraid to be careful, so we don't hurt the project that we were meant to be a
part of. May Allah help us all become reformers at heart? Make us what He expects of us. Subhanahu
wata Allah. May Allah azza wa jal give us what he wants from us. The guidance to be guided as
reformers in this world. May Allah open for us doors to contribute to society in a positive way. May
Allah azza wa jal makers of those who became the worst nightmares of the Pharaohs of the agent. May
Allah azza wa jal send his finest Peace and blessings upon our messenger Muhammad and upon Musa
		

			alayhis salam, and all of their righteous followers until the day of judgment that people have to
