			My brothers and sisters,
		

			Rassoula
		

			said, verily, fasting is not only from eating
		

			and drinking,
		

			rather,
		

			fasting is from vanity
		

			and obscenity.
		

			If anyone abuses you or acts foolish against
		

			you,
		

			then say, indeed, I am fasting.
		

			Say, and
		

			this is in Sahih Ibrahim.
		

			My brothers and sisters,
		

			it is very important for us to understand
		

			that
		

			the whole purpose
		

			of Ramadan is to reiterate and reinforce
		

			the meaning, the essence, the value,
		

			the understanding,
		

			awareness
		

			of Islam. Islam is to submit.
		

			Islam means to make my desires, what I
		

			wish,
		

			subservient
		

			to what Allah wants
		

			and what Allah wills,
		

			And in this, not even to use my
		

			logic and say, well, you know, Allah wants
		

			this, but logically, this is the reason for
		

			it. No.
		

			Just think about that. We start
		

			fasting from the time of the past beginning
		

			to the time of the fast ending. We
		

			don't eat, we don't drink, and we do
		

			not have any physical relationship with our spouses,
		

			what benefit is it to everybody?
		

			You might tell, Allah wants it, but why?
		

			We don't ask this question.
		

			If Allah wants it, we give it.
		

			All that we hear, we obey.
		

			This is the essence of Islam.
		

			Take Hajj, for example.
		

			What is so great about the Haram?
		

			It's a dress which is neither neither stylish
		

			nor is it comfortable,
		

			but we wear it because Allah said so.
		

			Why do I shave my hair in the
		

			after hats?
		

			Because Allah said so.
		

			Why am I stoning Jamarat? Because Allah said
		

			so.
		

			Why is Allah saying come for Hajj to
		

			the house of of Allah and the Hajj
		

			is actually in Arafat which is away from
		

			the from the position from
		

			the Kaaba?
		

			Because Allah said so. The whole of Islam
		

			is because Allah said so, and the Muslim
		

			is the one for whom
		

			the greatest Dalil,
		

			the biggest evidence is that Allah said
		

			so. To reinforce that, reiterate that, emphasize that
		

			in our lives and to
		

			make it the foundation of our lives going
		

			forward from today onwards.
		

			That's the reason why Ramadan comes. Ask Allah
		

			to
		

			make this far in our lives and to
		

			enable us to live our lives henceforth
		

			only and only
		

			obedient to Allah.
