We move on to sudo to null. And in Surah to null we have
the next parable. And this is in verse number 112 112.
This is a parable that loss of Hannah who would Allah gives us concerning those who are ungrateful.
They are ungrateful for the blessings of Allah subhana wa Tada.
And so Allah subhanahu wa tada says here
in verse number 112, have sort of tunnel.
And a lot presents a parable.
A city, which was safe and secure.
Its provision, its wealth, its food, coming to it in abundance, from every location.
But it denied the, the blessings of Allah.
The people of the city denied these blessings of Allah. So Allah made it meaning the city, Allah made it to taste the extreme of hunger, meaning famine
and fear
for what they had been doing, fear for what they have been doing. And so, Allah subhanho wa Taala compares those were ungrateful for the blessings of Allah
to the people of a city that
was once blessed. A city that was once blessed with
these blessings of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
And so just like the inhabitants of the city were ungrateful for these blessings.
And so Allah subhanho wa Taala took away these blessings from them. Likewise, anyone who was ungrateful, for a loss of blessings, Allah will strip them away from him.
And so Allah subhanho wa Taala blesses us with countless blessings, countless blessings, which he subhanho wa Taala expects us in return, to be grateful for
there is no doubt that the blessings of Allah are uncountable, it's impossible for us to sit down and count the blessings of Allah as Allah says, or to enumerate the blessings of Allah. As Allah says, What in do near metal law he led to so if you were to try to enumerate the blessings of Allah, you would never be able to do so.
And so,
a lot Express expects us to be grateful for these blessings.
And so when we are ungrateful for these blessings, then Allah subhanho wa Taala
punishes us by taking away these blessings from us, which he had once allowed us to enjoy.
And so here Allah subhanho wa Taala, Allah tells us of a city that once enjoyed, to mean blessings that every society, every nation, every civilization, wishes to have these tools.
blessings, and every single society, every single nation, every single civilization strives and does everything it can to attain these two blessings.
Because if these two blessings are missing, then that society and that civilization will go into ruin.
And there will be chaos.
And so these two blessings are security, safety.
And the second, economics, stability,
economic stability.
And so when this city that Elon mentions here,
when the inhabitants of the city disbelieved in the law, after being invited to believe in Him, some Hannah who attacked him, and they were ungrateful for these blessings of Allah,
what did he do? He stripped them of these two blessings, and plunge them into
the opposite of these two blessings.
And so the opposite of safety and security is fear.
A society that lives in fear,
no one can go out of their home because they're afraid of what's going to happen to them, because there's no security
and famine.
A lot meet the city to taste famine,
which is the opposite of economic stability.
And this call is of death. See,
when commenting over this verse, They say the majority of them say that this city refers to Mecca.
It refers to Mecca. And so
Mecca was once
a very safe place, secure
and peaceful, stable.
And it was a secure sanctuary where whoever went to this place Mecca,
they would be safe and sound. No one would be able to harm them.
While all around Mecca,
people
were living in fear.
And Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions this blessing elsewhere in the Quran. Allah subhanho wa Taala says, oh, when amuro and Johanna, how Rahman and meenan will you to help buffer nurserymen? How will you him?
Have they not seen that we made Mecca to be a safe sanctuary, while people are being taken away, snatched away from around Mecca.
And so when the people of Mecca kurush, when they denied the blessings of Allah,
the greatest of which was
to
disbelieve in Mohammed sallallahu alayhi wa sallam who was sent to them. Imagine
you have a prophet and a messenger from a lot sent to you, from your own people from your own blood.
Who Allah sends as a mercy for mankind, not just for you, oh Quraysh not just for the Arabs, but as a mercy for mankind
and as a guide for mankind.
And then he lives among you.
And yet, you disbelieve in him, what greater what greater
form of ingratitude. ungratefulness
can exist after this. And so
they denied the blessings of a lot, the greatest of lessons that they were blessed with was prophet muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
and yet they disbelieved in him. So when,
when they were ungrateful for the blessings of Allah, a lot, stripped them of these blessings, and left them in a famine and a lack of safety and security.
And this occurred in the time of the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam, after he had begun his mission, and he was giving them down.
And so there were years in which
the people of Mecca pradesh had to,
you know, tastes, famine and drought. And it was very difficult for them.
And there are other examples as well that lots of Hannah who is
parliamentarians of other nations and civilizations
which Allah subhanho wa Taala punish them for being ungrateful for the blessings of Allah.
And so we have the example of
Sabbath,
which was a civilization that dwelled in the southern part of the Arabian Peninsula in Yemen. Allah subhanahu wa Allah says in Surah Surah nakaji can and he said that in famous can him
indeed there was a sign for the tribe of sub, which is Shiva in their homeland.
Allah says, Jen Netanya Nia mean in which she met kulu Mariska or Beco mush Kula belt at the bottom before they had two orchards, two gardens, one to the right, and one to the left. They were told eat of the provision of your Lord and be grateful to him so Hanna, what?
Yours is a good land and a forgiving Lord. But what do they do? A law says for our ALU for arson alley him say LaLaurie me but delnor whom be genetti him Jenna teeny the water cooling * were ethylene was seeded in Cali.
But they turned away.
they disbelieved and they were ungrateful they turned away. So we sent against them a devastating flood
and replaced their two orchards their gardens, with two other gardens, producing bitter fruit, fruitless bushes, and a few sparse thorny creams. And then Allah says, that he catches it now whom Bhima Kufa Whoo, New Jersey ilkka for
because of what they did, we repaid them, we recompense them, because of their Kufa because of their disbelief. And thus do We repay does do we recompense those who are ungrateful.
And so this is the end result of those who are ungrateful for the blessings of Allah subhanho wa Taala that Allah has given to them. Allah has blessed each and every single one of us with the different kinds of blessings.
If we're ungrateful for these blessings,
then Allah subhanahu wa taala will punish us by taking them away from us.
And so among the lessons that we learn from this parable is first and foremost, that ungratefulness for the blessings of Allah
is basically a door that opens or deals, tribulations chaos upon countries and nations.
Such as fear,
insecurity, instability, poverty,
corruption,
and this is exactly what we are seeing and that we have seen
over so many years in Muslim countries,
where lots of Hannah who were to Allah blesses them with all kinds of blessings. But then, because they're ungrateful.
And they don't turn to Allah Subhana Allah to Allah, implementing his Deen implementing the shery of Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah subhanho wa Taala strips, these blessings away from them.
The second lesson that we learned is
that
blessings depart by not being grateful for them.
And so this is the case even if it is from the best of places.
It doesn't matter where you live on the face of this earth.
It doesn't matter who you are, if you're ungrateful to Allah for his blessings, that Allah will take them away from you.
And the best example of this is Mecca,
the purest of places.
There is no piece of land on the face of this earth.
More special in the sight of a London Mecca.
And yet,
Allah subhanho wa Taala plunged that place into insecurity
into famine.
Why? Because it's people were ungrateful.
And so Mohammed sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was the greatest blessing
to come to us human beings.
And he was sent in Makkah to the people of Mecca. But when the people of Mecca were ungrateful for him, Allah subhanho wa Taala took him away from them
and gave him to people who were grateful to Allah that He had sent them
that he had sent them. him Saul Allahu alayhi wa sallam.
And so,
Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam left Mecca, even though Mecca was very beloved to him.
But because it's people were ungrateful
for this blessing that Allah had sent them
a lot took him away from there and sent him to Medina, to people who were grateful to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And so they believed in him, the people of Medina, the unsought, they believed in Him, they supported him, with their with their wealth and their lives and everything that they had.
And so
the blessings of Allah subhanho wa Taala do not side with cities, or countries or places.
We shouldn't be deluded into thinking that a certain place because it's holy, because it's sacred. That means it's going to be paradise on earth. And we could do whatever we want there.
No, but rather blessings, the follow those who are grateful for them
