Bismillah al Rahman al Rahim
Al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil Alameen
wa Salatu was Salam ala attend min Camilla Ania allah how you recall Kyla he urged mine.
While early he was so happy woman that we had the Western to be Suniti he may deem alumni alumni Megan felner, one founder, Turner was
already known and helped get help on orders all connected I already know about Lila belt leading orders OpenEdge Tina? Well, John Lehman is to me
to be her winner, meme about a Salam alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
In our last session that we had, on the seerah, of the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi, wasallam,
we had finished speaking about whatever remains to be discussed about the Battle of better.
And so what we discussed was, what Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam did with the captives that were in his hands,
the prisoners of war.
And so we mentioned examples of how some of them were executed,
while others were ransomed.
And others were released without any ransom.
And how the remaining were released with their ransom being to teach
the Muslim children how to read and write. So that's what we discussed last time. And so today, we will wrap up our discussion on the battle of better
by mentioning some of the remaining
lessons that can be learned from this battle,
especially those related to
the consequences,
or the aftermath or the results of this battle, that left a lasting impact
on the people thereafter.
So, let us go through some of these
lessons.
And with that, we will conclude our discussion concerning the Battle of Edo. And then we will move on to other events that took place in a spirit of the Prophet sallallahu wasallam.
After this battle,
the first lesson
is that victory is from Allah alone.
And so after a victory, normally what happens is
that
you, the soldiers will be very proud of what they have achieved.
There'll be proud of their training, their skills, their bravery,
their might, their weaponry, and they will attribute all of the victory to all of that.
But what did Allah subhanho wa Taala mentioned regarding this battle?
Not a single he
did a loss of Hannah who attacked a priest the Muslims for the victory.
He did not attribute the victory to them.
Look at the IR that commented on the victory
in Surah total MFAT What does Allah subhanahu Talisay want to know soon? inositol.
In laminine, dilla
in the water ICS on Hakeem
victory comes from Allah Allah.
Surely He is the almighty dollar lights.
And Allah subhanho wa Taala reminding the believers of what their position was yesterday, and what it is today,
Allah subhanho wa Taala reminds them what the Kuru into Kali rooms are full and
the half moon in Yetta hotcopper kumin Natsu Farah, welcome
what a year there can be no sorry. He was aka Camino University the hyena contest Quran.
Allah says Remember,
this is right after the battle. Allah is addressing the Muslims.
Allah says remember when you had been vastly outnumbered?
You were few Khaleel
you were outnumbered
And you were oppressed in the land referred to Mecca,
you were persecuted.
And you are constantly in fear of attacks by your enemy.
You are living in fear.
Then Allah sheltered you, strengthen you with his with his help give you victory, and provided you with your bat with good things, so that perhaps you will be thankful. What did Allah provide them with all of the spoils of war.
Now suddenly, they have all this wealth, you know, not just the victory, but now economically, they're, they're doing much better than what they had before.
So this is the favor of Allah that He is reminding them of.
And so Allah reminds Muslims of their situation before
that they were few oppressed, persecuted, and they lived in fear of being abducted,
abducted all the time, if the hot dog for communists,
but Allah shelter them,
supported them, and provided for them and eventually gave the victory over there. And so the credit who doesn't go to
it goes to Allah.
It was Allah subhanahu Attallah, who made this difficult task, easy for them.
So it is very important for us to remember that whatever victory we achieve in our lives, it is because of a lot.
Whether you are successful in a business,
or in your education,
or in your family, or
in whatever it may be, even as a value,
attribute your success
to the one that belongs to
and that is Allah.
And without a doubt, this was a huge victory.
And so Allah subhanho wa Taala is training the Muslims after this victory, that the credit goes to Allah and not to you.
So we shouldn't be like those who boast
the likes of following
who was a rich man from among
the companions of Musa
from many Israel,
what did he say about his achievement, about his
worldly success,
about his fortune and his wealth that he had
called the inner man od to
an end.
He said, this wealth is because of knowledge
that I have. It was my knowledge that led me through this and allowed me to achieve this.
And we know what Allah subhanahu Attallah did with him.
So this is a huge lesson that we learned from this battle. The second lesson
after the battle,
we see the rise of Islam and the muscles.
So this battle was strategic in giving rise to Islam and the Muslims
after they had been downtrodden
and having nothing
as we mentioned,
they had a low status
among everyone, among all of the Arabs,
they were considered a minority, powerless,
weak,
economically unstable.
It's all through this battle. Allah Subhana Allah Allah gave rise to Islam and
this is why a Washington of which are referred to this day, the day of the other as what you're meant for on
the day of alpha con, which means the criterion the thing that distinguishes
what is the distinguishing between between truth and falsehood.
So after this day, if anyone had doubts
about
Islam being the truth,
then this day clarify that don't
erase that doubt.
It showed how
Allah subhanho wa Taala was with these people
This battle had also
brought a lot of wealth, as we mentioned, in the form of spoils of war and captives
that were freed and
ransomed. And so a lot of wealth was coming in.
It also brought a lot of machinery cool into the fold of Islam.
We mentioned examples of that how some of these captives,
they embrace Islam.
Also many of the people of Medina
who until now had not accepted Islam.
They had accepted Islam after this battle.
It also gave hope to the weak
and the oppressed who remained behind the Mecca from among Muslims.
It gave them a glimmer of hope
that the future is for Islam.
And so once news had spread of the Muslim victory, and whether the Arabs
started to look at the Muslims in Medina from a different lens.
Anyone who had previously thought about attacking Medina or attacking the Muslims would now have to give second thought to that idea.
And so the victory
now brought the Muslims to the forefront
as a force not to play around with
and as I said, This was especially the case
with the people in and around media.
Which brings us to the next point.
Now that
the Muslims had been victorious
and whoever had not embraced Islam is now embracing Islam.
There remains
a small group in Medina
who don't want to embrace Islam.
So what do they do?
They go underground.
And so, these people were not happy
that the Muslims were victorious.
However,
now,
the Muslims have the authority and they're powerful. So these individuals, they weren't strong enough to publicly show their animosity, and their enmity.
So after the battle, they went underground.
But publicly, they showed that they were Muslims.
So outwardly, you couldn't tell the difference between them and the other Muslims.
They would pray like the Muslims, they would fast like the Muslims, they would even give Zika
they deep down in their hearts.
They harbored Kufa
and hatred,
and envy,
and enmity and hostility towards the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and themselves.
They hated the Muslims, and they wished that Islam would vanish from the face of the earth.
So who are these? They are the munafo
the hypocrites.
Because Islam was victorious, and the Muslims were now strong,
they dared not to speak their mind.
So these will not be going within planning and plotting against the Muslims underground.
And
we could say that they were the most dangerous enemy
of all because they are the enemy from within.
They are living with the Muslims.
And they knew everything about that.
So these hypocrites what would they do?
Whatever information they have about the Muslims, the secrets of the people of Medina, they will take these and they will pass this information
outside to courage and to the enemies of the Muslims.
So these are the winners.
The hypocrites and they are a very difficult enemy to deal with, because they don't go public with their cover.
and either rasool Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did not know himself who they were imagine.
Even the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did not have a clue about them
Allah subhanho wa Taala says
when the men How will a minute Arabi Munna Pune one min a hill in Medina
Mora to Alameda de la isla
some of the headwinds around you
are hypocrites.
As well as some of the people of Medina
they have mastered hypocrisy.
You don't know who they are, that we know who they are.
And so even sort of why he said a while he was on do not know who they were.
Until and unless Allah subhanahu Attallah informed him
Allah subhanho wa Taala it says about them.
What either an apology in a minute
what either Hello Illa che outbreeding all who in Morocco in the man who was there?
When they meet the believers when they come in front of the Muslims? They say to them, we believe
we're with you when Muslims just like you.
But when they are alone with their child being
their evil companions, they say no, we're not with them were with you.
We were only joking around with them in the man Hello, Mr. Ziegler.
And so
when did this group of people emerge? Or when did they go underground?
It was right after the Battle of Beto.
And from here onwards,
we're gonna see
until the very end of the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we're going to see the challenge that they posed.
And the huge problem that the Muslims face and how Allah subhanahu wa Hanna
dealt with this group
and how Allah subhanho wa Taala constantly
mentioned their characteristics
and their traits in the Quran
for the Muslims to be aware of them.
And we should also remember that this group did not only exist in the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and then they vanished. No, they will always exist among the Muslims, especially when the Muslims are strong.
The fourth lesson that we learn is an important lesson
about the concept of and without one borrow.
And what is your loyalty
to Allah
to His messenger
and
to the believers to the Ummah
while al Bara means your disassociation
from cover
and the people have covered
this elewana One bra where does it stem from?
It stems from a heart that is filled with Ina
putting one's Eman in a lot and loyalty to the Muslims
over that which is close to them and dear to them
including
their very blood times.
So we see the results of this concept in several examples from the data are better.
The first example is that of a worker from the alumni.
In this battle, his son under a man was on the enemy side.
At that time, he had not embraced Islam later on. He embraces Islam, but in this battle, he was in the army of Quraysh.
Later on after he embraces Islam, he tells his father Abu Bakar all day long, right?
He says my father I saw you on the Day of butter
But I avoided you
because I didn't want to attack you. You're my father.
What was the reply of a book and all the alumni, he says I didn't see you.
But if I had seen you, I would have chased you down and I would have killed you.
So look at how Abu Bakr Radi Allahu Allah had no problem
fighting his own son and even killing him.
Why? Because
for him, there is a stronger bond in his heart.
And that is his bond with Allah and with the messenger.
And with the believers.
The second example is the homeowner, probably why
he had a maternal uncle
who was present in the army of crush
this uncle of his was allows it in his sham even in Milan.
And he was actually sent by Abdullah had
to fight in his place. We mentioned last time that Abu Lahab did not come. You didn't participate in the battle better. And we mentioned the story of how he ended up dying. Shortly after the battle a bender he died in Mecca.
And we mentioned that he had sent someone to fight in his place, and that was this individual. Allow subrogation in Milan, the maternal uncle of American football Rhodiola.
When Romo Rhodiola when I saw him, he didn't split his life, he went he attacked him and he killed him.
He targeted him
until he killed him.
Again, for the same reason.
They were looking at these people
as
relatives
who deserve for their lives to be spared,
but rather as the enemies of Allah and His messenger. The third example
is a guru Vader had made a bit of a genre
one of the 10 and we were shooting a bit agenda. One of the 10 who were promised genuine mentioned in that hadith by the prophets of salaam Aveda
He also participated in vendor while his father was in the army of Koresh.
His father and genre
leader or the alarm rang, he says his father would come in front of him in the battle,
he would come in front of him,
but he would turn away from Him.
He says, until he persisted, he kept on doing that.
Every chance that he would get he would come in front of his son.
So on board Rebecca says, when he kept on doing that,
I then went after him and I killed him.
That's all imagine
we heard the same thing from Abu Bakr on the alumni,
that he would kill his own son.
And here we have an example of someone killing his own father.
We also spoke about the story of the Khalifa. And his father wrote in Arabiya
who they fell in love.
We shouldn't confuse him with the other Khalifa, the more famous Khalifa for the Very Young Man.
This is Khalifa, the son of a route by Iran via
and we mentioned Tibet was one of the leaders of Quraysh.
In fact,
who differ. He had three people in the army of Quraysh. His father, his brother, and his uncle, and all of them died.
When they were pulling his body, the body of the river his father, to throw it into the well.
His son Khalifa was watching in sort of sort of line sort of light and it was sort of looked at his face, and he saw that he was sad.
And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam asked him if he was upset
this feat of his father.
The fact that he died as a Catholic go into the Hellfire
And so
they've actually Abu Khalifa not whatever his name was able for data had been rentable.
He responded and said, Yeah rasool Allah, I swear by Allah I have no problem with my father's fate.
But I once knew him to be a man of reason, and judgment and goodness. And I hope that these qualities would lead him to Islam.
When I saw that his feet was and how he had died upon Coover, despite my hopes for him, I was saddened. So he was actually sad
about
him not accepting Islam while having these
qualities that usually leads a person to Islam.
But we see in his response, he says, I have no problem.
I don't care about the fact that he has gone to the Hellfire in the sense that he deserved it.
And so this shows us once again,
that Eman that was in their heart, in their hearts and this concept of Anwar that we brought,
that was present in their hearts.
We cannot mention one last example here. And that is most of the remainder of the Allah.
Musa de vida Hamid had a brother,
who was in the army of Quraysh,
abou ICs.
He ended up falling in the hands of the Muslims as a prisoner of war.
And so
now they're back in Medina.
And Musab he passes by the Assad, who are holding his brother who hasn't. And he told him
tie his hands tightly,
taking the ropes on Abu Aziz. Why? Because his mother is wealthy, and she will ransom him for you.
And so this was the advice of most of Mossad that he gave to the ones who are holding his brother. Imagine this is his own brother
Abu Aziz, he was shocked. And he said, My brother, is this how you treat me.
As almost eyebrow, the alumni he said,
he is more of a brother than you are. And he was pointing to the Ansari who was holding him. And he said, these are my real brothers.
You are not these are my brothers because of Islam. And even though you are my blood brother, your culture has put a wedge between us.
It's a once again, we can see
that this concept of an Juana Well, Bharat was deeply rooted in their hearts.
It's something they understood very well
that our loyalty is to Allah and His Messenger, and to the believers.
And we won't let anything come in between us and
we disassociate ourselves from covering the people, of course, even if they are our own fathers, our own sons, our own brothers.
Now,
on the other hand, we have examples from the battle, that show
how the result of this and when or when Barack is weak in some people's hearts.
There were some young men of Quraysh, who were interested in Islam, and they had accepted Islam.
Some of these were the sons of noble families of Koresh.
Allah knows best what their intentions were.
Because we all know that youth,
they usually they usually do things
because they want to be different. They want to be unique.
They often want to rebel against the norm.
Right.
And so these were wealthy young kids of Quraysh
who became Muslim.
And we can even mention some of their names like Abdullah in there, so he'll have been hungry.
Last week, we mentioned
the story of his father, so he had been humbled. He was one of those who became a captive of
or later on, he embraced Islam.
And so his son, Abdullah, it is Sohail Ali Ibnu. Owner yet we all know
who may have been one of one of the leaders of courage, his Sonali also able to face it the mill will lead a panel moving on
an Apple case in filthy, inherited examine
a house in a bed.
And so these were all sons of the wealthy men of crush.
All of these men, they became Muslim,
but they couldn't stand the demands of Islam.
The sacrifice that Islam asks for you
these men, when hijra, came, the time for Hijra came to migrate to Medina, they stayed behind.
And they didn't migrate.
They were spoiled kids. They didn't want to go through all the hassle of migrating.
Even if it was a command of Allah and His messenger.
Not only did they stay behind, but they join their fathers and their tribes in the Battle of butter.
They came along.
So now all of them are present, they are in the Battle of butter.
As we said, we don't know what was in their hearts.
Outwardly, they had said the shahada, they were Muslims.
Now all of them were present in the battle.
And all of them were killed,
except for one.
And that was on dilla had been Sohail a banana
that we just mentioned.
When he entered the battlefield,
he immediately defected over to the Muslim army. And then he fought with the Muslims against corruption.
As for the others,
they ended up dying
in the enemy line with Koresh. So after the Battle of the Muslims, they recognize that
they said, these kids they had embraced Islam, but in Mecca, we know who they are.
So some of them said
perhaps they were Muslims, but they didn't want to go and fight. But they were forced to go.
And so
these men, they were killed. They had accepted Islam, but they didn't. Basically what we see is that they didn't sacrifice enough.
Or they didn't go far enough for Islam.
They didn't migrate, and then they ended up fighting in the battle better, and they ended up being killed. Perhaps they never even shot a single arrow
towards the Muslims. Maybe they didn't even strike a single sword.
Maybe they were there just because they had to.
So the question is,
what ended up happening
was I have heard of what Allah revealed Ariad concerning.
In the Latina teleferico women are eager to volley me and fusi him called Rufina crypto.
Allah says when the angels seize the souls of those who have wronged themselves,
scolding them, asking them what was wrong with you?
God who couldn't stop if enough your life
they will reply, we were oppressed in the land.
We were lucky we were persecuted. We are oppressed. We couldn't do anything.
All who LM Terkel Albula he was he identified to have you both here.
The angels will respond was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to migrate
the other Muslims migrated
those were persecuted. They managed to migrate
What is the matter with you? Why didn't you migrate?
Hula Ico or Wow Han
Jehan
for hula you can welcome Johanna was atmosphere. It is daily you will have * as their home. What an evil destination.
And so these people end up in the Hellfire
it's all the lesson we learn from this is we should not play with our Islam.
We shouldn't fool around with it. This is a serious deal and we need to be serious.
This religion does not accept a half hearted effort,
giving it part time
or following Islam when it is convenient. And doing otherwise when it isn't, like many Muslims today
Allah has promised you agenda. But you have to pay its price.
It's all these young men. They did not want to pay that price.
At
in an irritation, it's a hail Behati I'm delighted and handbasket in the long run. He says
that there were some Muslims who were with the machete Khun to increase their numbers against Allah's Messenger.
There were some Muslims who were with the machete cool to increase their numbers against Allah's Messenger. So arrows, meaning from the Muslim army, would hit one of them and kill him. Or a Muslim would strike him with his sword and kill him. So Allah revealed desire.
So Allah revealed this.
So the Muslims who join the kuffaar
they joined the army, just to increase their numbers.
They didn't really go out to fight.
They just weren't because they had to,
like a soldier responding to the call of duty,
he has no choice but to go.
So while they were in the line of fire, an arrow would come killing one, and a blow from a sword would kill another. And so that is how they died.
And these are the ones whom Allah revealed this area about them.
And so
the question is, did their Islam benefit them?
No, because they didn't sacrifice.
They didn't make Hadron and instead,
they joined the army of Quraysh, increasing their numbers. Now, even when they had the chance,
they had the chance at the very end to defect.
Right to run over to the other army, Lake Abdullah
ibn Muhammad ibn Suhail did.
Right. He's the only one we mentioned that he did that
they could have done the same thing.
But they didn't. So this shows us
that Amen is something that we have to show outwardly.
It's not something that is only in the heart.
Unfortunately, there are so many Muslims today who think that Eman means faith in the heart, and that's it.
And if you ask them, why don't you pray? Why don't you wear the hijab?
Why don't you do all of these things that are required
of you as a Muslim?
Why do you sacrifice basically, they'll say, You don't know what's in my heart
of Eman.
Don't judge me a word
that we see based on this incident and many other examples.
How emotion is not just something in the heart. You have to show it outwardly. You have to sacrifice. It's a commitment. And this is why these men they don't have any excuse.
Because they had the ability.
But they didn't show the will to act by their email.
And this is the exact opposite of who of the Sahaba invited who showed their Eman
outwardly
when they went face to face against their own fathers,
their own sons and their own brothers.
And this is why Allah subhanho wa Taala had a praise now.
Allah subhanahu wa Tada says Allah tells you to call men.
You mean when a biller he will yo will ask if you were doing a man heard the law how Rasulullah well Oh, can
I add banana? Oh, oh actually right at home.
You will never find a people who truly believe in Allah and the Last Day who are loyal
to those who defy Allah and His messenger, the enemies of Islam,
even if they were their own fathers, their own sons, their own brothers or extended family.
Hola etiquette and if you follow the he will email for a year the home Bureau for men where you will learn Jannette integrity, integrity and how to holiday and we have Robbie Allah who has been one of the one who can Hezbollah. Allah in his bulai Human mostly when Allah tells tells us
what the end result is for these believers
who showed up who showed this loyalty, this winner to Allah and His messenger
and broke all ties of loyalty
between them and the kuffar, even though it was their own
fathers, their own sons, their own brothers, Allah says, for those for those believers, Allah has instilled Eman in their hearts
and strengthen them with a spirit from him. He will admit them into Gardens under which rivers flow to stay there forever. Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with him. They are the haste the party of Allah, indeed, Allah's party is bound to succeed.
Now, it's mentioned that this verse was revealed in reference to
Abu Zubaydah
in July, when he killed
his own,
not his own son, his own father, that we just mentioned. So it's mentioned that this idea was revealed concerning him.
The last lesson that we can mention
is the status of Edelman better,
the people are better.
The Companions who fought
in this battle, they carry a special status among the Muslims among the Sahaba
Gibreel came to rasool Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and he asked them
what do you consider the people are better to be among you?
What is their status among you?
So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam replied, They are among the best masters.
They are at the top.
It's all Gibreel. He said, the same is the case with the angels who also participated in that battle.
And so there was a special event not only for the Muslims who fought in it, but also for the angels who fought by their silence.
And that is why,
in our books,
our Halima
in the books of Hadith, in the books of
the biographies of the Sahaba, when they classify
the different categories of the Sahaba
they start with the whole amount of washy dune
and those who have been promised with Jana, etc. And then you have
the big reunion.
Those who participated in the Battle of better because of this special status that they have.
And that's why
we have an example of
how some of them later on.
They were involved in
some wrongdoing.
And many of the companions
they thought that
we're talking about, you know, something major, that requires someone to be executed because of
and so, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam reminded the companions of who these people are.
It's all we have the famous example.
And we're going to come to it when we come to that part of this era.
Towards the end.
At the conquest of Mecca,
we have the sahabi, helping in the beta.
From the Allah long time, he committed an act of treason against Allah and His Messenger By informing Quraysh informing the people in Mecca of the plan of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam to conquer.
So, what is this considered? It's an act of treason.
You're basically passing on information to the enemy
You
know the story, it's a long story, the prompts also brings him forward and asked him why he did that, etc. And you gave his reason we'll come to it when we talk about it. But the point here is that a homeowner, probably a lot, right, he goes up to Rasulullah sallallahu wasallam. And he says, when they find out, because Allah subhanaw taala informed the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, of what how to have done.
So now the Prophet also knows an aroma of the alarm and knows, aroma goes through the process of Solomon says Yasuda Allah, let me execute him. Let me cut off his head. He is enough.
He's a hypocrite because this is something that only the hypocrites we do.
So Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said Ohama
and this is his famous statement or not, perhaps Allah has looked down at the people a birder and said, they are MeLuna Schichten.
For any lover to Rocco,
perhaps Allah looked down at the people or blender and said, do whatever you want, because I have forgiven you.
In another Hadith,
one of the servants of healthy
he said, Yeah, rasool Allah, how to be is going to the Hellfire
because of what he did. So so the lights on Allah Himself said to him kidnapped,
you lie.
He will not enter it, because he attended, birder and accrued abi.
And these were two big events that whoever attended,
they had a certain status among the muscles. So Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was basically saying that, because of attending the Battle of whether Allah looked at him, and the others, and told them, that you can do whatever you want,
because you're fighting better,
oh, well outweighs any wrong, that means you may do after that.
You participating in this particular battle,
and fighting with the Messenger of Allah
outweighs anything, no matter how great it may be.
Obviously, besides clear, cut, cover and shake.
And so how to be even at the belt, I was one of the Muslims who attended by there.
And because of that,
he was granted forgiveness for what he had done.
Now, this doesn't mean that
these Sahaba can do whatever they want, they have free license to do whatever they want. No,
that's not the point of the process. And I'm saying this.
And that's why we have examples
of some of them who committed certain sins that require
the head, the punishment of Allah in this dunya and it was carried out on them.
Like one of them who drank alcohol in the time of Omar Abdullah right, and so I'm gonna give him the punishment for drinking alcohol. The point is, that they carry a certain status
just for attending the Battle of it. And so all of this shows us
how strategic This battle was, all of these lessons that we have learned today, show us how
this battle changed
everything
moving forward.
And that is what we're going to see in the coming weeks. What happens after the Battle of better
What does Quraysh do next? What is their next move that they take?
And what do the Muslims do? We're going to be looking at that insha Allah Allah. So with this, we come to the end of the events and everything related to the Battle of better
Subhana Kolomna we Hamrick shared with our ancestral Fuuka went to Lake salatu salam ala Nabina Muhammad voila early also be vigilant
