They also discuss the importance of protecting the town and protecting the city from enemy attacks, as well as the need for unity among Christian and Muslims to face hateful behavior. The importance of manners and shelling is emphasized, along with the need for people to understand the reality of the situation. The segment ends with a brief advertisement for a video about a former member of the Quraysh movement who did not want to join the army.

Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

00:00:49 --> 00:00:56
			last week we started the story of the Battle of better

00:00:58 --> 00:01:02
			their circumstances that led to this battle.

00:01:03 --> 00:01:09
			How Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam came out in a hurry,

00:01:10 --> 00:01:11
			and how,

00:01:12 --> 00:01:15
			after some initial resistance

00:01:16 --> 00:01:18
			from some of the companions,

00:01:19 --> 00:01:20
			when initially

00:01:22 --> 00:01:25
			they were hoping to read the caravan of Abu Sufyan.

00:01:27 --> 00:01:48
			Things changed. And so they realized they were heading into a battle with the army of Quraysh. And
so there was some resistance from some of the companions to continue. But after that initial
resistance, how we looked at how the final word of the companions was to proceed.

00:01:50 --> 00:01:56
			And then the last thing that we mentioned, was how Quraysh fired up by

00:01:57 --> 00:01:58
			Abuja Hill

00:01:59 --> 00:02:13
			were determined to continue on to murder even after even after being notified by Abu Sufyan that he
managed to escape and the caravan was safe.

00:02:16 --> 00:02:19
			So that was the last thing that we mentioned last week.

00:02:24 --> 00:02:27
			And so now Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:02:28 --> 00:02:31
			proceeds towards better

00:02:33 --> 00:02:36
			and he wanted to gather information,

00:02:37 --> 00:02:39
			intelligence

00:02:41 --> 00:02:43
			on the whereabouts of the army of Quraysh

00:02:44 --> 00:02:46
			and also the whereabouts of the caravan

00:02:51 --> 00:02:56
			and solo solo why he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam went out with Abu Bakr Radi Allahu Han.

00:02:59 --> 00:03:01
			And they stopped by an old man

00:03:03 --> 00:03:03
			from the Bedouin.

00:03:05 --> 00:03:06
			And they asked,

00:03:07 --> 00:03:09
			they asked him about Quraysh.

00:03:13 --> 00:03:20
			But notice the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam asked him about coloration also asked him about
the Muslims.

00:03:22 --> 00:03:26
			Because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and Abu Bakr left as spies.

00:03:27 --> 00:03:36
			So they didn't want to make it seem as if they were the Muslims. So they asked this dead when have
you seen Quraysh

00:03:37 --> 00:03:37
			their army?

00:03:39 --> 00:03:49
			Have you seen the Muslims and their army? And so the old man he said, I'm not going to tell you
anything, until you first tell me who you are.

00:03:51 --> 00:03:54
			So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said,

00:03:55 --> 00:03:58
			you if you tell us, then we will tell you.

00:04:01 --> 00:04:07
			And so the man said, should it be this for that? And so the prophets of salaam said yes. And then
the man he said,

00:04:09 --> 00:04:09
			I heard

00:04:11 --> 00:04:21
			that Muhammad and his companions went out on such and such date. If that's true, then today they
should be in such and such place.

00:04:24 --> 00:04:28
			Referring to the place where the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam actually was.

00:04:30 --> 00:04:41
			And then he said, and I heard that kurush went out on such and such day, and if it is true than
today, they should be such and such place.

00:04:45 --> 00:04:46
			When he finished

00:04:49 --> 00:04:53
			he asked the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam, now it's your turn. Who are you?

00:04:55 --> 00:04:57
			And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said

00:04:59 --> 00:05:00
			nothing to me.

00:05:00 --> 00:05:00
			Mack

00:05:02 --> 00:05:03
			said were from water.

00:05:06 --> 00:05:12
			And then before the man could say anything, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam left, he left
him.

00:05:14 --> 00:05:27
			The man was asking, What does that mean? What does it mean you're from water? Is it from not only
Iraq, the water meaning the river of Iraq, and so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam simply
walked away?

00:05:29 --> 00:05:30
			Why?

00:05:31 --> 00:05:34
			So that the man could not ask him any more questions.

00:05:35 --> 00:05:43
			And so what did the Prophet SAW Selim mean when he gave this answer? Obviously, what he meant is
that all of us are created from water.

00:05:46 --> 00:05:49
			And so the point here is that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:05:51 --> 00:05:57
			was able to get valuable information on the location and the whereabouts of correction.

00:06:01 --> 00:06:04
			Then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam returned to his companions.

00:06:07 --> 00:06:10
			And then he sent out Ali ibn Abi Taalib,

00:06:11 --> 00:06:20
			Zubayr, YBNL, hawan. And sad event viewer costs with a number of the companions to go and gather
some more information.

00:06:22 --> 00:06:24
			So they reached the wells of better

00:06:25 --> 00:06:26
			and found

00:06:27 --> 00:06:32
			two servants fetching water for the army of Koresh.

00:06:35 --> 00:06:39
			These companions arrested these two men, and took them back

00:06:40 --> 00:06:41
			to the Muslims.

00:06:43 --> 00:06:44
			Then they started to interrogate them.

00:06:47 --> 00:06:49
			And so they asked them, Who are you guys?

00:06:51 --> 00:06:54
			And so they said, We are from the army of Kadesh.

00:06:55 --> 00:06:58
			We went out to get water for them.

00:07:00 --> 00:07:03
			And so the Sahaba Rhodiola behind him didn't like the answer.

00:07:05 --> 00:07:08
			It wasn't the answer they were hoping for.

00:07:12 --> 00:07:17
			The Sahaba thought that these two men actually belong to the caravan of Abu Sofia.

00:07:18 --> 00:07:20
			And remember what we mentioned earlier.

00:07:22 --> 00:07:24
			The Sahaba wanted a caravan.

00:07:27 --> 00:07:29
			And so even until now,

00:07:31 --> 00:07:36
			they hope that perhaps these two men belong to the caravan and they can now tell us where the
caravan is.

00:07:38 --> 00:07:41
			And so they didn't like the answer. So they started beating them.

00:07:43 --> 00:07:44
			And they asked them again.

00:07:48 --> 00:07:51
			You know, basically, the purpose of them beating them is

00:07:53 --> 00:07:54
			to get the answer they want from them.

00:07:56 --> 00:08:04
			So the two men they finally gave into to the torture and they said, We belong to the caravan of Abu
Sofia.

00:08:05 --> 00:08:06
			And so

00:08:08 --> 00:08:12
			meanwhile, where was the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he had been praying Salah.

00:08:15 --> 00:08:22
			So after he had completed his salah, he came, and he started to rebuke the companions. He started
criticizing them. He said,

00:08:24 --> 00:08:26
			When they told you the truth, you beat them.

00:08:29 --> 00:08:31
			And when they lied, you left them alone.

00:08:36 --> 00:08:37
			When they told you the truth that

00:08:39 --> 00:08:40
			we belong to the army,

00:08:42 --> 00:08:43
			not the caravan.

00:08:46 --> 00:08:49
			He started beating them but then when they said we belong to the caravan.

00:08:50 --> 00:08:51
			So now they're lying.

00:08:53 --> 00:08:53
			You left them.

00:08:55 --> 00:09:14
			And then after that Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam took things in his own hands. And he
started to interrogate these two men himself. Because the Sahaba or the Allahu Anhu. They weren't
asking the right questions, and they weren't getting anywhere. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam, he asked them

00:09:16 --> 00:09:19
			how many are the army of Quraysh?

00:09:22 --> 00:09:23
			The two men they said many,

00:09:25 --> 00:09:31
			but the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam wanted a more specific answer. He said, what is their
number? Exactly?

00:09:34 --> 00:09:34
			And so

00:09:36 --> 00:09:36
			they said, We don't know.

00:09:39 --> 00:09:41
			So then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam asked them

00:09:43 --> 00:09:46
			how many camels do they slaughter every day?

00:09:49 --> 00:09:53
			So the men said, in one day, they would slaughter

00:09:55 --> 00:09:58
			10 camels. The next day, they will they would slaughter night.

00:10:01 --> 00:10:06
			So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to his companions,

00:10:07 --> 00:10:09
			Allah calm, the people

00:10:10 --> 00:10:14
			of Quraysh are between 900 and 1000.

00:10:18 --> 00:10:23
			And so he figured this out by the number of camels that they were slaughtering and eating.

00:10:24 --> 00:10:26
			So for every 10

00:10:27 --> 00:10:27
			men

00:10:30 --> 00:10:34
			for every or every 100 for every 100 Men,

00:10:36 --> 00:10:37
			there would be one camel that they would eat from.

00:10:41 --> 00:10:45
			So what was the actual number of Qureshi was approximately 950.

00:10:46 --> 00:10:49
			So look at the precision of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:10:51 --> 00:11:02
			As for the Muslims, we know that they were just a little over 300 And so the Muslims were a third of
the army of correction.

00:11:04 --> 00:11:06
			Then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam asked them

00:11:09 --> 00:11:12
			who from the nobles of Quraysh are among them.

00:11:13 --> 00:11:16
			The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam wanted to know who's come out.

00:11:17 --> 00:11:20
			Obviously, he knows these people, they are his own people.

00:11:21 --> 00:11:25
			But he wants to know who's there? Who are they going to be facing off against?

00:11:26 --> 00:11:30
			And so, the two men started to mention names, they said Aruba,

00:11:32 --> 00:11:39
			che back the Rhodia Abuja Hill, who may have been heard of among other leaders of kurush.

00:11:40 --> 00:11:42
			So when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam heard this,

00:11:44 --> 00:11:45
			he was amazed.

00:11:47 --> 00:11:49
			He never thought that the leaders would come up.

00:11:51 --> 00:11:53
			And so you turn to the Companions and he said,

00:11:55 --> 00:11:56
			Here is Maccha.

00:11:58 --> 00:11:59
			Look at equal

00:12:03 --> 00:12:04
			alpha, he can be the hub.

00:12:07 --> 00:12:11
			Here is Maccha. Having thrown to you its core.

00:12:13 --> 00:12:18
			Its cream, its best, its leaders basically.

00:12:21 --> 00:12:35
			And so once the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam got this valuable information that he was
looking for, on the army of Quraysh, he immediately took off with his army, to the wells of Godot

00:12:37 --> 00:12:39
			in order to be courageous to it

00:12:42 --> 00:12:48
			and have access to the water while preventing the enemy from having any access to it.

00:12:52 --> 00:13:01
			And so, when they reached the wells of better Kosova, he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam chose the
location of his army to be

00:13:02 --> 00:13:03
			by the nearest well.

00:13:05 --> 00:13:11
			So as soon as they reach there, he said, Let's camp here by by the nearest Well, there were more
wells up ahead.

00:13:12 --> 00:13:14
			But he said, let's, let's stay here.

00:13:16 --> 00:13:17
			So

00:13:18 --> 00:13:19
			one of the Ansari

00:13:21 --> 00:13:25
			alHuda ibn al mundo, Radi Allahu Allah, he gets up.

00:13:26 --> 00:13:30
			And he asks the Messenger of Allah rasool Allah.

00:13:31 --> 00:13:33
			Is this the place

00:13:34 --> 00:13:38
			that Allah has revealed to you know, we should stop here we should camp here

00:13:40 --> 00:13:42
			and not advance any further?

00:13:45 --> 00:13:46
			Or

00:13:47 --> 00:13:49
			it is, is it a matter of

00:13:50 --> 00:13:51
			opinion

00:13:52 --> 00:13:55
			in warfare tactics and strategy?

00:13:57 --> 00:14:01
			And so look at how this companion asked the question.

00:14:04 --> 00:14:07
			If it was revelation from Allah subhanho wa taala, then

00:14:08 --> 00:14:09
			he was satisfied.

00:14:12 --> 00:14:13
			If it's from Allah, then

00:14:15 --> 00:14:29
			all is good. We'll stay here. But if it was a question of military tactics strategy, then this
companion and Habad he had something different to say.

00:14:31 --> 00:14:35
			That's also why he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam answered him and said that

00:14:36 --> 00:14:39
			it's a matter of opinion.

00:14:40 --> 00:14:43
			I thought that this is a suitable place to stop.

00:14:45 --> 00:14:48
			And so I feel bad. He said Ya Rasulullah

00:14:51 --> 00:14:52
			This is not a good place.

00:14:55 --> 00:14:58
			He said, Let us continue to the last well

00:15:01 --> 00:15:03
			And when we get there

00:15:05 --> 00:15:09
			because that last will will be in the direction of the enemy when they come.

00:15:11 --> 00:15:12
			That's where they're going to stop.

00:15:14 --> 00:15:16
			He said, let's continue to the last well.

00:15:17 --> 00:15:23
			And then let's count there. Let's start there. And then all the previous wells, let's destroy them.

00:15:26 --> 00:15:30
			And then let's construct a reservoir,

00:15:31 --> 00:15:36
			a huge tank, or pond of water, let's fill it with water.

00:15:38 --> 00:15:41
			So that we'll have plenty of water

00:15:42 --> 00:15:56
			that will be accessible to only us as for Qureshi, they won't have any access to any water. And so
we will have water to drink, and they have any water to drink.

00:15:57 --> 00:16:00
			And so when the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam heard this,

00:16:01 --> 00:16:02
			he agreed.

00:16:03 --> 00:16:08
			And he said, it's an excellent plan. And he commanded that

00:16:09 --> 00:16:11
			they go accordingly.

00:16:13 --> 00:16:18
			Now, sadly, been wired rhodiola, who is also one of the leaders of the unsought.

00:16:20 --> 00:16:23
			He also had a suggestion for Azula he SallAllahu it was

00:16:26 --> 00:16:27
			he said, Yeah, rasool Allah,

00:16:30 --> 00:16:32
			I think we should make a barricade for you.

00:16:37 --> 00:16:38
			He said,

00:16:41 --> 00:16:42
			If we the Muslims, we win,

00:16:44 --> 00:16:48
			then we'll handle all is good. That's what we came here for.

00:16:51 --> 00:16:53
			But if we are defeated,

00:16:56 --> 00:16:57
			then we want you to survive.

00:16:59 --> 00:17:02
			And we want you to go back to Medina.

00:17:03 --> 00:17:06
			And join the rest of the companions who are left behind.

00:17:09 --> 00:17:10
			Because

00:17:11 --> 00:17:12
			they don't, we don't.

00:17:13 --> 00:17:16
			They love you as much as we do.

00:17:18 --> 00:17:19
			And

00:17:21 --> 00:17:23
			they would love to be here with us.

00:17:26 --> 00:17:30
			And if they knew that we were going to fight today, they would have joined us

00:17:32 --> 00:17:33
			they would not have stayed behind.

00:17:35 --> 00:17:35
			And so

00:17:37 --> 00:17:40
			sad Rhodiola who I'm here basically, he was

00:17:41 --> 00:17:51
			most probably talking about a huge group of the companions from the unsought and specifically from a
house.

00:17:53 --> 00:17:57
			We mentioned that the Muslim army was approximately 300.

00:18:00 --> 00:18:04
			The mohajir rule from Metka were approximately 86.

00:18:07 --> 00:18:10
			The number of hours was 61.

00:18:11 --> 00:18:15
			And the number from 100 was 170.

00:18:20 --> 00:18:36
			So why is such a huge difference between the House and the huzzah Raj, who combined make up the
Onsala of El Medina. So we can see here and also is only approximately 61 men, but 100 were 170.

00:18:38 --> 00:18:40
			The reason for this

00:18:41 --> 00:18:49
			is that the homes of a house were in the upper part of Medina allow Ali

00:18:51 --> 00:18:59
			and we mentioned last week that when Rasul Allah, He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam announced to the
Companions he left in a hurry.

00:19:00 --> 00:19:00
			And

00:19:02 --> 00:19:05
			he told everyone let's go We're leaving now.

00:19:06 --> 00:19:07
			And we're not waiting for anyone.

00:19:10 --> 00:19:15
			And so there were some they said, Our homes are on the outskirts of Medina.

00:19:17 --> 00:19:20
			Will you allow us to go get ready and come the prophets of salaam said no.

00:19:21 --> 00:19:23
			So for this reason,

00:19:24 --> 00:19:38
			many of the house were not able to make it. And that's why we have this huge difference in the
numbers. So the majority of the unsought were from and has Raj for this reason. And so the point
here is that sad or the Allahu and

00:19:40 --> 00:19:44
			he said we have companions back in Medina

00:19:45 --> 00:19:46
			who couldn't make it.

00:19:48 --> 00:19:55
			If were defeated on this day, then you can go back and carry on your mission with them. They will
fight with you

00:19:59 --> 00:19:59
			and so

00:20:00 --> 00:20:05
			The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam also accepted this idea.

00:20:06 --> 00:20:11
			And so here are the companions are offering their suggestions, their ideas that are all related to

00:20:13 --> 00:20:16
			military tactics and strategy.

00:20:20 --> 00:20:23
			And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was accepting their ideas.

00:20:24 --> 00:20:25
			And so

00:20:27 --> 00:20:32
			they ended up making an elevated barricade for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam

00:20:36 --> 00:20:41
			where he had the vantage point, and he could see everything that was happening in the battle.

00:20:43 --> 00:20:48
			And so they made this barricade for him. And the process ended up staying there with

00:20:49 --> 00:20:53
			Abu Bakr Radi Allahu Akbar, while Sadie Ben was,

00:20:54 --> 00:21:06
			along with some of the youth of the Tsar, were their bodyguards guarding this barricade. Now, it
doesn't mean that the Prophet salallahu Ali also remained

00:21:07 --> 00:21:16
			in the spirit in this barricade throughout the battle, no, as we will see, the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam came out and participated in the battle.

00:21:18 --> 00:21:18
			But

00:21:20 --> 00:21:31
			this was a place where he initially stayed and it makes sense that the leader should be in a
position where he is protected and fortified.

00:21:35 --> 00:21:36
			So now

00:21:38 --> 00:21:39
			Quraysh

00:21:41 --> 00:21:43
			they arrive at battle.

00:21:45 --> 00:21:55
			When Rasul Allah He sal Allahu Allahu wa sallam saw Qureshi coming forward into the valley, from
their position behind the sand hill.

00:21:57 --> 00:22:00
			The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Oh Allah,

00:22:01 --> 00:22:04
			here come Quraysh in their vanity and their pride

00:22:05 --> 00:22:08
			contending with you and calling your messenger a liar.

00:22:09 --> 00:22:14
			Oh Allah grant to help which you have promised me destroy them in the morning.

00:22:16 --> 00:22:23
			And so this is what Rasul Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, when he first saw the army

00:22:25 --> 00:22:27
			now when Qureshi arrived

00:22:30 --> 00:22:34
			they started to dispute among themselves

00:22:37 --> 00:22:42
			and Rasul Allah, He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was able to pick it up, he noticed

00:22:43 --> 00:22:46
			that the dispute arose among them

00:22:48 --> 00:22:50
			even ibis, rhodiola when he says,

00:22:52 --> 00:23:05
			When the Muslims reached the better, and the mushy Kuhn reached, Rasul Allah, He sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam looked at the root Tibet, Ibn Robbia, one of the leaders of Quraysh, who was writing a red
camel.

00:23:06 --> 00:23:11
			And he said, the prophets of salaam said, if there is any good in any of them,

00:23:13 --> 00:23:15
			it will be with the man on the red camel.

00:23:17 --> 00:23:18
			If they obey Him,

00:23:19 --> 00:23:21
			then they will go in the right direction.

00:23:23 --> 00:23:27
			Why did the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam say this?

00:23:30 --> 00:23:33
			Let's see what led to this dispute among Quraysh why were they

00:23:35 --> 00:23:37
			fighting now among themselves?

00:23:40 --> 00:23:41
			When Croatian reached

00:23:43 --> 00:23:44
			better,

00:23:45 --> 00:23:47
			and they saw the Muslim army,

00:23:48 --> 00:23:49
			they sent

00:23:51 --> 00:23:53
			Romania in what happened to scout

00:23:55 --> 00:24:03
			to go and scale and look at the Muslim army and bring back information on their numbers on their
strength on their

00:24:05 --> 00:24:07
			on their military power. Do they have

00:24:08 --> 00:24:11
			any groups hiding behind?

00:24:12 --> 00:24:16
			You know, in case they're defeated? Are they going to attack us?

00:24:17 --> 00:24:26
			And so roommate did that? And then he went back to crash and he said, Oh, Quraysh what I saw was
camels bear in depth.

00:24:28 --> 00:24:32
			There are people whose only aid and refuge are their swords.

00:24:33 --> 00:24:38
			I swear I don't foresee any of them being killed before he kills one of you.

00:24:39 --> 00:24:46
			And if they kill of you a light number as their own, what good will it be to live after that?

00:24:48 --> 00:24:49
			Consider carefully.

00:24:50 --> 00:24:51
			Meaning

00:24:52 --> 00:24:59
			Think about it carefully. Do you want to proceed or not? So this Romanian had been Wahab had gone

00:25:00 --> 00:25:05
			and saw the army of the Muslims. And he saw it as being quite small.

00:25:06 --> 00:25:14
			But when he looked at their faces, he saw death. He saw a men who were willing to die.

00:25:17 --> 00:25:18
			And so now

00:25:22 --> 00:25:25
			Hakeem had been has been he's

00:25:27 --> 00:25:29
			one of the men of courage.

00:25:32 --> 00:25:34
			He later on becomes a Muslim.

00:25:35 --> 00:25:40
			But in the battle or better he was on on the side of correction. Heck he made in his

00:25:42 --> 00:25:45
			he goes to route back in Arabiya. Who was

00:25:46 --> 00:25:47
			the man riding

00:25:48 --> 00:25:54
			the red camel. So Hakeem goes to hurt Vader. Obeah. And he says, over Tibet?

00:25:57 --> 00:26:04
			Shall I suggest something that if you were to do it, you will carry the honor of this day until the
end of time?

00:26:07 --> 00:26:16
			Or to ask him what he wanted to say. So Hakeem said, I suggest that you withdraw this force back to
Mecca.

00:26:18 --> 00:26:23
			And that you take care of the blood of your ally, and help Rami.

00:26:26 --> 00:26:27
			What's he talking about here?

00:26:29 --> 00:26:38
			We mentioned two weeks ago, when we spoke about the Suraiya. The expedition's that the proposals on
sent out to read

00:26:39 --> 00:26:41
			and one of them was very significant.

00:26:42 --> 00:26:45
			That was the study year of Abdullah bin Jash.

00:26:47 --> 00:26:50
			Where I believe injection his men, they went all the way

00:26:51 --> 00:27:00
			into enemy territory, and they attacked a caravan. And it was the first time that the Muslims had
killed someone

00:27:02 --> 00:27:08
			who did they kill. This caravan was guarded by four men, and one of them was killed.

00:27:09 --> 00:27:10
			He was unhealed Rami.

00:27:12 --> 00:27:19
			He was a hammer and help run the first person to die from correction.

00:27:20 --> 00:27:20
			So

00:27:25 --> 00:27:32
			another reason for the battle of Godot was to avenge the death of I'll help Ramy.

00:27:33 --> 00:27:38
			And so we wrote to that he was an ally of this help Rami.

00:27:39 --> 00:27:47
			So Hakeem was telling him to spare the battle, and instead, go to the family of another army and
give them blood money.

00:27:52 --> 00:27:54
			So we're going to bet he liked the idea.

00:27:56 --> 00:27:57
			However,

00:27:59 --> 00:28:01
			he couldn't do this on his own.

00:28:02 --> 00:28:05
			And so they needed to get the approval of

00:28:06 --> 00:28:11
			not just the leaders of courage, but specifically Abuja.

00:28:13 --> 00:28:17
			And so wrote by them stands up and says, Oh, courage.

00:28:19 --> 00:28:22
			By firing Muhammad's companions, you will accomplish nothing.

00:28:24 --> 00:28:31
			If you attack him, each of you will always be looking at others who will always dislike looking back
at you.

00:28:33 --> 00:28:36
			You will be known to have killed their cousins or a member of their try.

00:28:38 --> 00:28:53
			Go home and leave Mohamed up to the other Arabs, if they kill him, that will be accomplished in your
aims. And if otherwise, he will find you not to have been exposed to the risk of what you will now
plan.

00:28:54 --> 00:29:03
			So what we're seeing here basically, is that to fight Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would
mean fighting their own people.

00:29:06 --> 00:29:06
			Also,

00:29:08 --> 00:29:19
			that if the Arabs the other Arabs, killed Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, then that is good
for us. At least we would not be the ones who killed him.

00:29:22 --> 00:29:26
			And if Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam wins

00:29:27 --> 00:29:30
			against the other Arabs, then at least

00:29:32 --> 00:29:39
			they won't come to take revenge from Quraysh. So he was basically saying it's a win win situation

00:29:41 --> 00:29:44
			if we withdraw and leave him to the other herbs.

00:29:46 --> 00:29:47
			Now,

00:29:48 --> 00:29:56
			while ago today I was speaking to Quraysh Hakeem, it had been his arm goes to Abuja Hill to try to
convince him

00:30:00 --> 00:30:01
			So he goes to Abuja Hill.

00:30:03 --> 00:30:18
			And he tells him what he told her about basically, that it's better for you to withdraw. And so
Abuja Hill says, route by did not find anyone else to send but you.

00:30:20 --> 00:30:28
			So Hakeem in response said that Robert could have sent someone else, but he wouldn't have been a
messenger for anyone except earthbath.

00:30:29 --> 00:30:38
			You know, what do you mean that right but couldn't send anyone else but me. Whoever would bring you
this news he would be a messenger of Earth.

00:30:39 --> 00:30:40
			So then Abuja he said,

00:30:44 --> 00:30:46
			I swear, he starts attacking.

00:30:47 --> 00:31:16
			He says, I swear, his lungs are filled with terror. When he saw Mohammed and his men, by God, we
will not return until God decides the matter between us and Muhammad. Or Tibet is not sincere in
what he says. He sees Muhammad and his men as fodder for camels awaiting slaughter, and his own son
is there among them. He is scaring you for his own sake.

00:31:19 --> 00:31:22
			What Abuja had was basically saying here is that

00:31:23 --> 00:31:25
			we are going to slaughter the Muslims.

00:31:26 --> 00:31:28
			And we are going to win this battle.

00:31:31 --> 00:31:34
			And what he was seeing here was that route but his real fear

00:31:37 --> 00:31:45
			is his son, who became a Muslim and who is there in the Muslim army. He doesn't want to see his son
killed.

00:31:47 --> 00:31:50
			And that is why he was trying to withdraw.

00:31:51 --> 00:31:53
			So this is what Abuja Hill says,

00:31:54 --> 00:31:57
			and then Abuja Hill, he goes to the brother of Amer,

00:31:58 --> 00:31:58
			and help run

00:32:00 --> 00:32:04
			and he says, your ally, your protector, or Tibet,

00:32:05 --> 00:32:10
			wants to withdraw the army back, go and inspire the army.

00:32:13 --> 00:32:14
			Go and entice them.

00:32:15 --> 00:32:26
			And so, the brother of Amer al Harami, he goes to the army and screams for the sake of the hammer
for the sake of ammo. And then he marches in front of the Army,

00:32:27 --> 00:32:28
			rallying them

00:32:30 --> 00:32:31
			and inspiring them to fight.

00:32:32 --> 00:32:33
			And so now,

00:32:34 --> 00:32:37
			the mood for warfare becomes heated

00:32:39 --> 00:32:44
			and the attitudes of the forces hardened and now they became determined to fight

00:32:46 --> 00:32:47
			while the route

00:32:48 --> 00:32:50
			and his advice was ignored.

00:32:54 --> 00:33:09
			Now what does he do? When he hears what Abuja has said about him? He says, that fellow with the
filthy yellow backside will find out whether it's me or him whose lungs are filled with terror.

00:33:11 --> 00:33:12
			And so not only did

00:33:13 --> 00:33:18
			Abuja Hill sweep the entire army with anger, but he also made the right to be angry

00:33:19 --> 00:33:21
			and to prove to Abuja who was wrong

00:33:22 --> 00:33:25
			route to the proceeded, as we're going to see,

00:33:26 --> 00:33:31
			when we talk about how the war started, or Tibet proceeded to be

00:33:33 --> 00:33:36
			the first one to advances to ask for a duel

00:33:38 --> 00:33:44
			with the Muslims a one on one fight. This is before the battle even started. So this

00:33:45 --> 00:33:46
			shows you how

00:33:48 --> 00:33:51
			influential this devil Abuja had was.

00:33:52 --> 00:33:55
			And there are so many examples of it, but this is only one.

00:33:59 --> 00:34:06
			And so now coming back to what the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, when he saw and he
noticed that Quraysh

00:34:08 --> 00:34:09
			they're disputing among themselves.

00:34:11 --> 00:34:13
			We now see why he said what he said.

00:34:15 --> 00:34:16
			So basically,

00:34:17 --> 00:34:20
			Kura is split into two groups, one

00:34:22 --> 00:34:27
			that was willing to withdraw and go back to Mecca, and the other who were determined to fight.

00:34:28 --> 00:34:47
			And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said, if there is any good in them, it will be with
the man on the red camel. Meaning if they listen to his advice, and that's good for them. If they
obey Him, then they will go the right way. But as we know, that is not what ended up happening.

00:34:50 --> 00:34:52
			Now, Allah subhanho wa Taala talks about the scene

00:34:54 --> 00:34:57
			when the two armies arrived at Bethel

00:34:59 --> 00:35:00
			in Surah Tula

00:35:00 --> 00:35:00
			Allah,

00:35:01 --> 00:35:03
			Allah subhanahu Bucha Allah says

00:35:04 --> 00:35:10
			it entombed below the wetted dunya or homebuilt roadwatch Casa what rock boo as well? I mean

00:35:12 --> 00:35:18
			Well, I will tell you I had to knock that off to fill me I had when I killed the Jacobi Allahu Imran
can ms Allah.

00:35:19 --> 00:35:26
			Allah subhanho wa Taala says remember when you the Muslims were on the near side of the valley of
gutter

00:35:28 --> 00:35:44
			and your enemy was on the far side. What ROKU S fell of income and the caravan was below you meaning
the caravan was by the sea. The caravan Allah was Sofia and he escaped. And he took the route along
the sea.

00:35:45 --> 00:35:53
			Allah says even if the two armies had made an appointment to meet, both would have certainly missed
this appointment.

00:35:55 --> 00:36:16
			Leah Lika Man Hello Can beginner team while you're here, man Hayyan the unit we're in the water
Listen, we have an island. Still it transpired so that Allah may establish what he had destined,
that those who were to perish, and those who were to survive might do so after the truth had been
made clear to both.

00:36:17 --> 00:36:19
			Surely Allah is all hearing all the way.

00:36:24 --> 00:36:29
			Now what does it mean here when Allah says, me I had not enough to fulfill me

00:36:31 --> 00:36:32
			that if

00:36:33 --> 00:36:35
			you had made an appointment with kurush

00:36:38 --> 00:36:38
			you would have missed it.

00:36:40 --> 00:36:43
			Allah subhanahu ittehad It is telling us here that

00:36:45 --> 00:36:48
			this battle did not take place

00:36:49 --> 00:36:49
			as plan.

00:36:53 --> 00:37:04
			The Muslims did not have an appointment with courage and courage did not have an appointment with
the Muslims. The Muslims had left El Medina for the sake of the caravan.

00:37:07 --> 00:37:12
			But Allah subhanho wa Taala had set a date for the meeting of the Muslims not with the caravan but
rather

00:37:13 --> 00:37:15
			with the army of Kurdish.

00:37:17 --> 00:37:21
			And so the Muslims did not want to meet courage for battle.

00:37:23 --> 00:37:26
			Nor did a group of Croatia as we mentioned.

00:37:27 --> 00:37:29
			In fact, even Abu Sufyan

00:37:31 --> 00:37:34
			once he had escaped and he felt he was safe, he sent a message

00:37:36 --> 00:37:41
			to the army of Quraysh to stop, don't proceed don't continue go back to Mecca.

00:37:44 --> 00:37:47
			But they were too arrogant.

00:37:50 --> 00:37:51
			Also,

00:37:53 --> 00:38:01
			some among Qureshi knew that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was indeed the Messenger of Allah.

00:38:04 --> 00:38:07
			And we'll mention this, perhaps next week.

00:38:10 --> 00:38:10
			A story

00:38:12 --> 00:38:14
			of one of the members of Quraysh

00:38:16 --> 00:38:18
			who did not want to leave with the army.

00:38:19 --> 00:38:21
			Be because of the dream of

00:38:22 --> 00:38:29
			the aunt of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Attica, which is our dream. We mentioned it last
week.

00:38:32 --> 00:38:43
			And so there were some who are hesitant. They didn't want to leave because deep down inside they
knew that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam is indeed the Messenger of Allah.

00:38:47 --> 00:38:49
			And if that is the case, then he has the backing of Allah.

00:38:51 --> 00:39:02
			But why didn't they become Muslims because of their arrogance, because of their pride. And these are
what we call Cooper allistic bar, the Cofer of arrogance, pride.

00:39:04 --> 00:39:05
			You know, tribal pride.

00:39:07 --> 00:39:08
			We belong to Quraysh.

00:39:09 --> 00:39:13
			And we're not going to leave the religion of our forefathers.

00:39:15 --> 00:39:15
			Right.

00:39:17 --> 00:39:19
			And so the point here is that

00:39:20 --> 00:39:26
			both the Muslims and Quraysh they didn't want to have this battle. They didn't plan it.

00:39:30 --> 00:39:30
			But

00:39:31 --> 00:39:36
			Allah subhanho wa Taala had a different plan. As Allah says here

00:39:39 --> 00:39:41
			Leah handycam and halacha MV

00:39:42 --> 00:39:44
			wire here I'm in Hayyan the year

00:39:45 --> 00:39:55
			so that whoever parishes he parishes after evidence, and whoever survives. He survives after seeing
the truth.

00:39:57 --> 00:39:59
			In So, we will stop here and

00:40:00 --> 00:40:00
			continue

00:40:02 --> 00:40:05
			the story of the Battle of Belgium next week in sha Allah Jota Anna.

00:40:09 --> 00:40:13
			So now we go on to some of the lessons that we learn from this segment of the story.

00:40:15 --> 00:40:16
			The first lesson that we learn

00:40:18 --> 00:40:26
			is how the Prophet Sall Allahu Allah who will send them had just the right qualities of a military
leader.

00:40:28 --> 00:40:34
			Our Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was not just a messenger and a prophet of Allah.

00:40:37 --> 00:40:42
			He was also a teacher. He was a father, he was a husband.

00:40:43 --> 00:40:45
			He was a guide.

00:40:47 --> 00:40:51
			And he was also a leader,

00:40:52 --> 00:40:53
			and a military leader.

00:40:54 --> 00:41:05
			And we can see his qualities of being a military leader in how he went about gathering information
and intelligence about the enemy.

00:41:09 --> 00:41:13
			We also saw his qualities as a military leader

00:41:14 --> 00:41:17
			in how he made sure that

00:41:19 --> 00:41:25
			the Muslims, any of their information is also not leaked out to the enemy. When he met that old man,

00:41:27 --> 00:41:34
			he made sure that this old man doesn't know who they are, so that he then goes and gives the
information to crash.

00:41:36 --> 00:41:38
			And before all of this,

00:41:39 --> 00:41:44
			we saw how he sort of law he was sort of mobilize everyone when leaving and Medina

00:41:45 --> 00:41:51
			not telling anyone where they were going, simply telling them let's go we have to leave.

00:41:55 --> 00:41:57
			At once, there is no time.

00:41:58 --> 00:42:01
			And so they were clueless as to where they were going.

00:42:02 --> 00:42:04
			And in Hadith in Bukhari,

00:42:06 --> 00:42:11
			it's mentioned that Rasulullah sallallahu Eleos would never leave for any battle,

00:42:13 --> 00:42:31
			except that he would make it appear as if he was going somewhere else, not to not in the direction
of the battle. So all of this shows the wisdom and the intelligence of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam, and how he was fit to be a military leader.

00:42:33 --> 00:42:55
			The second lesson that we learn is the freedom of the companions, to voice their concerns, to give
their opinions, their input. And so we see this in the story of a little dab. YBNL Monday, robiola
run, and how he asked the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam about

00:42:56 --> 00:42:59
			the location that he chose for the Muslim ark.

00:43:01 --> 00:43:03
			He chose the near as well.

00:43:04 --> 00:43:05
			And so

00:43:07 --> 00:43:08
			this will help you read the law when

00:43:10 --> 00:43:11
			he objected.

00:43:13 --> 00:43:17
			Now, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did not reprimand him.

00:43:19 --> 00:43:20
			He did not

00:43:22 --> 00:43:24
			tell him to get back in his lane.

00:43:26 --> 00:43:28
			He didn't demote him.

00:43:30 --> 00:43:33
			Which is what would happen in any other army.

00:43:34 --> 00:43:39
			If a soldier was to object to the military leader.

00:43:43 --> 00:43:51
			We also see here the adab of the Sahaba ra the Allahu Anhu. When dealing with the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam,

00:43:52 --> 00:43:54
			and how this Sahabi did not

00:43:56 --> 00:43:59
			just give his input, his suggestion just like that,

00:44:00 --> 00:44:13
			he didn't say Ya Rasulullah I disagree with you with your idea of stopping here instead we should go
to such and such place. No. What did this hobby do? First he asked him yeah rasool Allah.

00:44:15 --> 00:44:19
			Is this revelation from Allah? Is Allah telling you to stop here?

00:44:21 --> 00:44:30
			And so once he got the green light, and he saw that this is not a revelation from Allah, but rather
it's simply the opinion of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:44:31 --> 00:44:34
			There then he gave his suggestion.

00:44:35 --> 00:44:48
			It will look at the manners and the dab of this hub Radi Allahu Anhu. Yes, they were free to voice
their opinions, but they did it in the best of manners, without any disrespect.

00:44:49 --> 00:44:50
			And we also see

00:44:51 --> 00:44:52
			how

00:44:55 --> 00:44:57
			they understood the value of the way

00:44:59 --> 00:44:59
			and the revenue

00:45:00 --> 00:45:00
			issue

00:45:01 --> 00:45:18
			that whatever Allah and His messenger say, if it's based on revelation from Allah, then some and
whatnot and we hear and we obey, here, there's no room for objection. If it's coming from ALLAH,
we're going to do it because our opinions don't matter.

00:45:19 --> 00:45:24
			Our opinions have no value, when it comes to what Allah has decided.

00:45:25 --> 00:45:27
			Even if we may see, see things a different way.

00:45:30 --> 00:45:37
			But if there is room for discussion, if there is room for opinion, then that is where we will give
our opinions.

00:45:39 --> 00:45:47
			The third lesson that we learned, although the kuffaar may show off their military progress, and
their might,

00:45:48 --> 00:46:09
			and they may show how they are all together, and united, deep down inside, they are cowards filled
with fear. And they are divided among themselves, and they have bitterness and animosity towards one
another. And we see this in the hesitation of many of them to proceed

00:46:10 --> 00:46:15
			to continue in this battle, even after they reached the battlefield.

00:46:17 --> 00:46:21
			And so there was this infighting that ensued between their leaders.

00:46:22 --> 00:46:26
			And it showed their true colors.

00:46:27 --> 00:46:32
			And so we should never think that when the call for show off their might,

00:46:33 --> 00:46:34
			their military power.

00:46:35 --> 00:46:38
			We shouldn't be deceived into thinking that

00:46:40 --> 00:46:47
			you know, we have no power against them. They're all united, they have all the strength. No, the
opposite is true.

00:46:48 --> 00:46:50
			As Allah subhanho wa Taala says about them.

00:46:52 --> 00:46:55
			So little hasher Allah subhanahu Uttara speaks about

00:46:56 --> 00:47:00
			the hood of El Medina. Allah subhanahu wa Tada says,

00:47:01 --> 00:47:03
			but soon they you know whom shady,

00:47:05 --> 00:47:09
			Cebu whom Jimmy Hun, what guru boom shed

00:47:11 --> 00:47:19
			their bitterness for each other is intense. Their animosity towards one another is intense.

00:47:20 --> 00:47:25
			You think that they're united, but yet their hearts are divided.

00:47:26 --> 00:47:30
			So this is what Allah subhanho wa Taala tells us of the reality of the situation.

00:47:31 --> 00:47:34
			The fourth lesson that we learned, is that

00:47:36 --> 00:47:40
			among the camp of the disbelievers, there are voices of reason.

00:47:41 --> 00:47:49
			There are men of wisdom, there are people who are moderate. However, when it comes

00:47:51 --> 00:47:59
			to it being a battle against Islam, when it is a religious war, with the intention of defeating the
truth,

00:48:00 --> 00:48:11
			the religion of Allah, that is when these voices of reason and moderation are swept aside by the
voices of fanaticism, and extremism,

00:48:13 --> 00:48:40
			the likes of Abu jihad. And so this is important to mention. Because sometimes we think that since
the enemies of Allah, among the kuffaar, there are people who are anti war, they're moderate, or
they are supportive of Muslim causes, then we start thinking that these voices will overcome

00:48:41 --> 00:48:43
			the other voices of extremism.

00:48:46 --> 00:48:50
			And so that could be the case, if it was

00:48:51 --> 00:48:53
			a battle between cover and cover.

00:48:55 --> 00:48:58
			However, we have to understand that when it comes to fighting

00:48:59 --> 00:49:07
			the messengers of Allah, or the followers of the MBR of Allah, then the case is different.

00:49:09 --> 00:49:10
			And so our gustavian

00:49:11 --> 00:49:13
			Didn't he urged the army to go back?

00:49:15 --> 00:49:18
			Wasn't he representing a voice of reason?

00:49:19 --> 00:49:19
			Rutabaga.

00:49:22 --> 00:49:24
			Didn't he also represent a voice of reason?

00:49:27 --> 00:49:29
			And tell courage to withdraw.

00:49:31 --> 00:49:41
			Their words was also a group, then who Zara, who were led by Agnes InsurTech, who refused to
participate in the Battle of murder,

00:49:42 --> 00:49:45
			because they refuse to fight against their own brothers.

00:49:47 --> 00:49:51
			And so even among the kuffaar

00:49:52 --> 00:49:54
			you have people who are wise.

00:49:55 --> 00:49:59
			You have peace activists. You have moral

00:50:00 --> 00:50:00
			rates,

00:50:01 --> 00:50:02
			but

00:50:03 --> 00:50:05
			their voices are

00:50:07 --> 00:50:11
			drowned by the voices of

00:50:12 --> 00:50:12
			extremism

00:50:14 --> 00:50:15
			like that other Abuja *.

00:50:17 --> 00:50:19
			And so when it comes to dealing with the Muslims

00:50:21 --> 00:50:45
			these voices of reason are drowned. And they have no value. This is because shaitan is out there to
convince his followers that the followers of Islam need to be wiped off the face of the earth. And
so this is something that we Muslims really need to pay attention to and realize. The last lesson
that we can learn

00:50:47 --> 00:50:53
			is how this Battleground was the ultimate proof of Eman and Kufa

00:50:55 --> 00:51:10
			as Allah subhanho wa Taala said, Leah helewka Min Halaqa I'm beginner while you're here, man, a
young beginner. So those who were to perish, and those who were to survive, they may do so only
after the truth has been made clear to both of them.

00:51:11 --> 00:51:16
			Meaning that whoever dies in this battle,

00:51:17 --> 00:51:20
			they will die after seeing proof of the truth.

00:51:22 --> 00:51:25
			Allah subhanahu wa Tada wanted this battle to take place.

00:51:29 --> 00:51:35
			No matter what, even if there's resistance from both sides, Allah wanted it to take place for this
reason.

00:51:37 --> 00:51:39
			For this very reason, as Allah says.

00:51:42 --> 00:51:42
			And so

00:51:44 --> 00:51:47
			whoever dies, he will die after seeing the proof of the truth.

00:51:49 --> 00:51:54
			All also whoever lives and survives, he will do so after witnessing the truth.

00:51:55 --> 00:52:02
			And so we'll talk about, you know what these proofs are as we get into the thick of the battle. But
basically,

00:52:03 --> 00:52:06
			after all odds were against the Muslims.

00:52:08 --> 00:52:18
			They still managed to defeat their enemy. And that is a clear proof of the truth that the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was set with.

00:52:20 --> 00:52:22
			It couldn't be denied anymore after this.

00:52:23 --> 00:52:24
			How is it

00:52:25 --> 00:52:30
			that an army of 1000 is defeated by an army of only 300.

00:52:32 --> 00:52:41
			And so this is why that day is referred to as by Allah Himself in solitude and found as Yeoman
Furqan.

00:52:42 --> 00:52:49
			The day of criterion the day to distinguish between the truth and falsehood.

00:52:53 --> 00:53:19
			And so this is where we will conclude for today in sha Allah to Allah and next week, we will
continue the story of the Battle of better until then Subhanak Allah who will be handed a head will
learn to steal Furukawa to Blue Lake wa sallahu wa salam ala Nabina Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi
wa Salam Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
