The heart is the most significant organ of the human body, both physically and spiritually. Thus, we need to strive to make sure our hearts are sound, healthy and free of every defect. The Prophet (SAW) said, “There is a piece of flesh in the body, if healthy, the whole body is healthy, and if corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Indeed, it is the heart.”

Bismillah R Rahman r Rahim al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen wa Salatu was Salam at Emmanuel acmella Ania, La Jolla Haleakala he ultramarine. While early he was so happy woman so royal energy he was beheaded he, Isla Yomi, Dean, and Abed, welcome to this latest episode of heart therapy.
In the previous episode, we had looked at some of the causes for a diseased heart.
What is it that causes the heart to become sick and ill. And that is because hearts are basically of three kinds. You have the sound and healthy heart, and you have the dead heart. And then you have the diseased, or the ill, and sick heart.
So this sick heart, this diseased heart, which is the heart that most of our slaves have, or at least, the believers. And that is because the sound heart and the sick heart belong to they belong to the believers. And the dead heart is the heart of the disbeliever.
So what is it that causes the sicknesses of the heart? That is what we basically had a look at in the last episode. In this episode, we want to touch on some examples of the diseases of the heart. And so in previous episode, we basically mentioned in general,
what the diseases of the heart what they come under General categorizations. So we mentioned for example, that all diseases of the heart, they can be traced back to shubo hat, and Shahada.
And we mentioned that what causes these should be heart and show how art is either a fitna a temptation, a tribulation, or a love law, which is heedlessness negligence. And so we mentioned in general categorizations. What we want to look at here in this episode, are some specific examples of diseases of the heart.
Now, the sickness of the heart, the illness of the heart, is basically when some external factor, ruins the heart, something that comes from outside and ruins the heart, causing it to basically ruin its perception of the truth. And its will for following the truth. And so here we have two things. We have the fact that this external factor, when it hits the heart,
it causes the heart to no longer perceive the truth properly,
or it causes the heart to have no will, for following the truth. As for the first,
then corruption of its perception of the truth is basically through shubo hat. And so, these should we had these doubts, these uncertainties that shaytaan whispers into our hearts, they cause the individual to see the truth as being as being contrary to its reality.
And so Allah subhanho wa Taala mentioned an example of this,
with regards to the hypocrites, and so Allah said fi Hulu, bm morobe Rosada whom Allahu morava in their hearts is a disease is a sickness. So Allah, he increased their sickness, he increased their disease. So here Allah subhana wa tada referred to their hypocrisy as a disease in the heart. The second is the corruption of its will to follow the truth.
And so what causes the heart to no longer have the will? To follow the truth? It is basically through Shahada and so when these lustful desires
Come to the heart. It causes the individual or the heart to fall in love with these base desires until it no longer wants to follow the truth. What is the truth? It is a commandment of Allah subhanho wa Taala and his prohibitions.
And Allah subhanho wa Taala also mentioned this sickness of the heart, when Allah subhanho wa Taala said, commanding the believing women to cover themselves in proper hijab and to speak or rather not to speak with a soft voice. And so what did Allah subhanho wa Taala said, What did he say? Why, what is the reason for not using a soft voice? Allah subhanho wa Taala said for your promo lady fire to my lady, he called me he, Mara, for your Mallaby fee Colby he murghab Allah subhanho wa Taala said, lest he in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire less he in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire when he hears that soft voice.
And so here also Allah subhana wa tada referred to a shallot as a disease in the heart. So basically, we can see here that the diseases of the heart go back to these two to these two categories. chubu heart and Shahar, the Shu heart are those doubts, those uncertainties that we hear about and our hearts absorb them.
And so it could lead to the disbelief in Allah subhanho wa Taala. such as those who deny the existence of Allah subhanho wa Taala, they throw you, they throw at you so many different shoe hats, trying to make you believe that a lot does not exist. Or they throw to you shoe hats, trying to make you believe that this Deen of Allah subhanho wa Taala is not the truth from Allah subhanho, wa Taala, and so on, and so forth.
As for the Shahada, then they are so many that we are afflicted with in this day and age. And so we are tempted to follow our desires that are related to our physical pleasure, whether it be fulfilling our sexual desires in that which Allah has prohibited, or whether it be eating and consuming that which is how long that which Allah has forbidden, whether it be food, or whether it be consuming a Riba and interest.
And so these are the two types of diseases of the hearts. Now, when we look at some of the more specific diseases of the heart, we find that they are so many. And so it won't be possible to cover all of these diseases of the hearts, but rather, we'll mention just a few of them.
And so one of the diseases of the hearts is a little or injustice. And so, this injustice is with respect to three things, it is with respect to Allah subhanho wa Taala or it can be with respect to oneself, or it can be with respect to others. And so, injustice with respect to Allah subhanho wa Taala is to set up partners with a law
in worship. And so a shift is the greatest injustice as a loss of Hannah what Allah said, in Shirakawa woman when that very early shift is a great injustice, a great oppression. Why? Because Allah subhanho wa Taala is one
and his right to be worshipped alone. That is his right. And so a person who associates with a lot in his worship, he is taking away that right from Allah subhanho wa Taala. And so he has fallen into injustice with regards to allow
the second kind of injustice it is with respect to oneself. And so, as Allah subhanho wa Taala said, Rob Bana alumna and fusina were in Lambeau Field and our homiletical
In the middle Holocene with respect to Adam alayhis salam, when he disobeyed the command of Allah, he turned to align repentance and what did he say? He said, Oh our Lord, we have done injustice to ourselves, we have wronged ourselves. And if you do not forgive us, if you do not show mercy to us, we will surely be from among the losers. And so Adam alayhis salam referred to his disobedience, and his mistake, his sin that he committed as being injustice to himself. And so, injustice to ourselves, are so many, there are so many and that's why the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, taught us a dua, that when we ask Allah to forgive us, we should say that, Oh Allah, we have wronged
ourselves. We have done a little injustice to ourselves. So forgive us and show us mercy. The third type of injustice is doing injustice to others. And that's why the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, a rule mu, vumat, Yama, Yeoman Kiana, that volume or oppression, injustice will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection. And so the most common type of injustice is doing injustice to others, wronging others or oppressing others, other human beings or even animals. And so these are the three kinds of injustices or oppressions where do they originate from, they originate from the heart.
Among the diseases of the heart, is a react.
And react basically refers to doing things that are pleasing to a lot
for other than a lot. So doing an act of worship, doing something which is pleasurable to Allah, however, having the intention to seek the admiration of others. And so the intention, in such cases, is usually to show off your good deeds in order to win the praise and admiration and the admiration of others. And so this basically amounts to having vanity self vanity, with the aim of pleasing others. And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam described earlier, by giving the example of a person who performs Allah, for Allah, however, he improves his Salah when he knows that others are watching him. So this is one of the common diseases of the heart. we'll mention a few other diseases
of the heart. But before we do that, we'll take a short break and be back in a few moments.
I've been doing
all my life I
have always held me.
Salam Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
welcome back to this episode of heart therapy. In this episode, we have been speaking about the various diseases of the heart. And so there are many different diseases of the heart. And we have been mentioning a few of the diseases. And we'll mention a few more, although we cannot mention all the diseases of the heart because they are so many.
Before the break, we mentioned two diseases of the heart. The first is a loan or oppression, injustice, and the second was a rehab. And rehab basically refers to showing off our good deeds, doing our good deeds which are in themselves pleasurable to Allah subhanho wa Taala but having the wrong intention. And so a person he performs his Salah, he's praying to Allah, then he notices that some people are watching him and so he starts to perfect his hola and who sure in Salah is something that is required and Allah loves
But this person, he's not doing it for a lot. He's not doing it for the pleasure of Allah, but rather he's doing it for the pleasure of these people who are watching him.
Among the diseases of the heart is what is known as El kebir. arrogance.
And so the word el kebir. Basically, this refers to the inner quality of pride or arrogance. And it is also known as
a person who is arrogant.
And his arrogance, he thinks he is higher than others.
And so, arrogance is something that is Blaine's worthy
and it is one of the features of beliefs
and followers of a beliefs. And so, it is
the characteristic of those whom Allah subhanho wa Taala has sealed their hearts. And so the disbelievers and hypocrites. One of the common features among them is this feature of arrogance. And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
He mentioned to us the danger of this arrogance, when he said that no one who has an atom's weight of this caliber, this arrogance in his heart will ever enter Paradise.
And so a man he said, O Messenger of Allah.
What if someone he likes his clothes, he likes to dress with nice clothes, and he likes to wear nice shoes. He wants to look good. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Allah subhanho wa Taala is Jimmy. He is beautiful, and he loves beauty. But arrogance means rejecting the truth and looking down on others, rejecting the truth and looking down on others. And so arrogance is real. And it is something that we should fear. But it is not like what some people think that arrogance means someone he dresses, you know with beautiful and new clothes, or he drives a nice car for example. This is not the meaning of arrogance, but rather the meaning of arrogance is when that
outward appearance is accompanied by an inner pride and arrogance, where a person he dresses lavishly, and he drives an expensive car, while at the same time, thinking that he is above others, thinking that others are below him. This is the meaning of arrogance. And as for the arrogance of the disbelievers and the hypocrites as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentioned it is their rejection of the truth as a police. May Allah curse him, rejected and refused to Prostrate to Adam alayhis salam. Why? Because he himself said that, Oh Allah, you have created me from fire. And you created him from what you created him from clay and dirt.
And so I am better. And so he refused to obey laws command because of his kibber, or his arrogance. Among the diseases of the heart
is what is known as allergy or self admiration.
And so allergy or self admiration is a feeling of exaggeration, with regards to your good deeds,
your overestimation of your good deeds, feeling satisfied, when you have done good deeds,
while that is accompanied with a feeling of superiority
on your account, and so
you perform good deeds and after you have performed them.
You feel the sense of pride in your heart that, you know, I did something great. And I did it all by myself.
And so this is the meaning of an urge or self admiration. you admire yourself, thinking that you're someone great now. Now that you
have done such a great deed. And so, usually a person who has this in his heart, he considers himself to be free from all shortcomings. He considers himself to be free of all faults, and sins.
And this is
opposite to those who feel pleasure and delight from performing good deeds,
while having in their hearts some kind of humility.
And so don't think that it is wrong, to feel good about our good deeds that we perform. Rather,
we should feel good, that we have performed good deeds. And so our heat that loss of Hannah who without it has blessed us with both of them, idle for and they're either of her or joy ish are basically these two aids are joyous occasions.
And they are after two great good deeds, after the completion of a month of fasting, doing good deeds, and after, or on the occasion of sacrificing for Allah subhanho wa Taala. And so it is a good thing, to be joyous, and to feel good about doing good deeds. However, it should be accompanied with humility, and modesty before Allah subhana wa Tada, and gratitude, thanking Allah subhana wa tada for giving you the trophy, the ability to perform that good deed. And so if you do not have this feeling in your heart, but rather, when you feel good about your good deeds, and you think that you did it all on your own, and you feel proud about it, then this is the meaning of leverage, or self
admiration, that is one of the diseases of the heart.
Among the diseases of the heart, is one of the most common diseases of the heart. And that is a hazard or envy. And so it hasn't,
is to wish, there are certain blessing that Allah has bestowed upon someone else to wish that it is taken away, and that you receive that blessing. And so Allah Subhana, who would Allah commanded His Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to seek refuge with him. So Hannah, who had data from the evil of every envious person, when Allah subhana wa tada said, woman shed the house, he didn't either.
And so envy is a great disease of the heart, but it is a varying degrees, not all envy is the same. And so we have envy, when a person, he wants a blessing to be taken away from his Muslim brother,
even if it does not come to him, but he simply wants to see it go away from his brother in Islam.
The second degree or the second level of envy is where you see a blessing on someone else, and you want it to be taken away from him.
And you only want it to be taken away from him so that you receive it.
And so this is another kind of envy.
And here another degree of envy is where you wish for yourself a certain blessing that you see on someone else.
But without,
without that blessing being taken away from him.
So you see someone with a certain blessing,
and you wish to have that blessing, but you don't want it to be removed from your Muslim brother. So we say that this is not a diss praised kind of envy. And that's why it's not even referred to as hazard, but rather the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam referred to it as a liberal. And that is, for example, when you see that your Muslim brother has a lot of wealth. And you want that wealth as well. But you want it so that you can spend it in the way of a loss of Hannah, who would you see your Muslim brother, Allah has blessed him with knowledge of the religion. And so you also want that but you don't want it to be taken away from him.
Muslim brother, and so on, and so forth. And so envy is a destructive
disease of the heart. Also among the diseases of the heart is stinginess and greed. And so Allah subhanahu attallah has praised those who spend their wealth for good causes. And at the same time he has blamed those who are greedy. And so in the Quran, Allah subhanho wa Taala
praised the Ansari for the way they gave preference to the mahadji rune over themselves. And so even though they were in need of their wealth, they were not the richest people. But yet, when the Mahajan came and made hedra they gave all of what they had to them. They preferred that their Muslim Brothers receive what they had over themselves. And so Allah subhana wa tada praised them for that, while at the same time, he blamed those who are greedy and so Allah subhanho wa Taala said, Well, you see Runa Allah and footsy him Oh, canopy him ha salsa and the answer. They praise they they preferred they gave preference to their Muslim Brothers over themselves even though they were in
need. And then Allah said when you show Han FC he from una chica hooman Mosley, who and whoever is saved from the greediness of him of herself, then such are those who are successful. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala has clarified that the successful ones are those who protect themselves against greediness. And so without a doubt, weakness of a man is born from being greedy, as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, that he man, and really this stinginess, can never come together in the heart of a servant. And so these are some of the many diseases of the heart. We ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to protect our hearts from these diseases. And if these diseases exist in our
hearts, we ask Allah subhana wa Taala to cure us of these diseases. And so in the upcoming episodes, we will be looking at some of the ways to cure the diseases of our of our hearts. We ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to gratis that ability to cure the diseases of our hearts. Until the next episode, so pericolo no biharmonic eyeshadow Allah Allah Allah and esto fuuka to LA wa Salaam Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
