Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. This week hamdulillah we are looking at Tafseer of surah. In Shira, part three, we began the Tafseer of surah inshallah two weeks ago, where we looked at the first four verses of the surah, which speak directly to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam. and by extension, they speak to us as well. We allowed you to hand over data was comforting Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and told him alumnus Raka sodre. Between not open your chest for you, meaning did we don't make things easy for you. We're the
rock, and we moved your burden under the rock, which had made your back heavy. We're an allopathic rock, and we raised up your status.
So we looked at these verses two weeks ago last week, we went into an in depth Tafseer of verses five and six, which are the most common or the most famous verses of the surah. For in Utah in Utah for definitely, what hardship days is definitely with hardship, there is ease and we went into an in depth of fear of those two verses, we said we will leave the Tafseer of the last verse of the surah until this week, we also went into details looking at an important Hadees related to after with difficulty comes ease and how to get the help of Allah subhanho wa Taala difficult times. I'm going to repeat that Hadees one more time for the listeners for the benefit of those who missed last
week's program. And I want you to pay special attention to this hadith This is the Hadees which each of us should make a cornerstone of our life they should be principles by which we live our life. And this Hadees is found in an hour with 40 Hades it is Heidi's number 19 It is also found in activity. The Hadees is narrated and Abdullah Ibn Abbas radi Allahu Kala Abdullah in a bus or rhodiola who said come to COVID Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Yama I was sitting behind the Prophet salallahu alayhi Salaam one day for color then he said, yo lamb Oh youngboy in Lima, Lima. I want to teach you some words. It was Illa he was

And know that Allah has helped comes with Saba rotations, or another faraja. Arab, and that relief only comes with affliction, or Anoma osteo strong, and that with difficulty disease. So this is a very important and powerful hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu wasallam. We went into the details explaining it last week, I just wanted to recap the wordings of Rasulullah sallallahu. Some important point to note here that in general, the hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu. Some are very short.
This is the rare exception of a Hadees being long, and what you will find is if you read a one line Hadees of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam, then we tend to have a five page explanation. So you can imagine how long the explanation of this headings must be. In fact, one of the books I read had over 50 page explanation on this piece. So this is a very, very powerful
For an important Hadees Hadees Hadees, number 19 of anomalies 40 Hadith, make sure that we all learn it, memorize it and apply it to our lives. It is the cornerstone of tawheed and of being able to have a large divine assistance in our lives.
Well that inshallah we will move on to this week's topic this week, we are looking at the last two verses of the surah verses seven and eight. Now verse number seven, teaches us a very important principle of our lives a principle, which each and every Muslim should have in their life.
Verse number seven is continuing on from verse number five and six, verse number five and six, he's telling us that after the difficulty, they will be easy.
However, verse number seven is reminding us for either puravida fun sub. So when you are finished, then continue to work hard. When you are finished, continue to work hard. Meaning when the difficulty is over, we don't sit back and relax and forget about Allah subhanho wa Taala. No, we need to continue to work hard to please Allah, in times of ease, and in times of difficulty. Go back to the Hadees I just mentioned, if you remember a lot of times of ease, he'll be there for you in times of difficulty. the mindset of the believer is that there is always work to be done. There is always good to be done. There is always important things to be done for the sake of Allah and for
helping humanity.
It is this that we need to keep in mind at all times. So Allah subhanho wa Taala is reminding us in verse number seven for either for Agata fun top for either, then when you are finished, when you have completed your task when your test is over, fun, stop, continue to work hard, continue to do your best. So the prophets, Lord Islam and Sahaba and all of us by extension advised in these verses to continue to do righteous deeds at all time. No matter what did you have completed? You can't sit back and say, you know, I built a Masjid so I don't need to pray anymore. No, you need to continue to do good deeds. You don't you can't sit back and say, you know, I've written so many books, so I
don't need to do anything else. My agenda is set. Nobody's agenda is set. We need to continue to work hard. As long as we are on this earth. There is no such thing for the believer. There is no period in which a true believer takes a rest from doing good deeds. Yes, we take a rest on our worldly duties. We take rest from work, we might go on a holiday, but we never take a rest of doing good deeds. wherever we are, we still pray to Allah, we still live our lives in accordance to the teachings of Allah subhanho wa Taala. We still do that which is halal, and stay away from that which is haram. The believer is always aware, he is always or she is always aware of the obligations to
Allah at all times. So it doesn't matter if it's a time of difficulty or ease. This is the sign of a true believer that when whether it's a time of difficulty, or a time of ease. Either way, the believer is engaged in the worship of Allah, those who only worship Allah at times of difficulty. Allah subhanho wa Taala in the Quran describes this to be one of the qualities of the disbelievers
that the disbelievers. When there is difficulty they turn to Allah. And when the difficulty is over, they go back to whatever they were doing, or whoever they were worshipping besides Allah. So this is the quality of the disbelievers, not the quality of a believer.
Furthermore, you know, we have those people who worship Allah at times of ease, and when things get difficult they say that Allah doesn't love me why Allah doing this to me, such an individual has misunderstood the purpose of life, they are most understood why Allah subhana wa Taala has created us and put us on this earth
because Allah subhanho wa Taala explaining the nature of this world has told us in the Quran in surah mulk Allah de hola como de Waal hayata Leah blue Komiyama Sano, Amara
Aziz loco for it is he who has created debt and life to test which of you is best in their deeds, and he is the most mighty, most forgiving, and he repeats the same thing in Surah Kahf. In Allah, Allah Allah Allah de Natal Halina blue whom he whom I am Allah, definitely I have made everything on this earth beautiful to test which of you is best in your deeds. So the purpose for putting human beings in this world is to test us. So when things get difficult, it doesn't mean Allah subhanho wa Taala does not love us It means he's testing us. Allah subhanaw taala has told us about this in the Quran, and Rasulullah sallallahu has also told us about it in many Hadees
he said the most severely tested people are the prophets and then
those closest to them and then those closest to them. He, Allah sallallahu Sallam has also told us that when Allah loves a servant, he sends them tests into the life. So what are the purpose of the test which Allah subhana wa Taala sends to a human being. The first and primary purpose of Allah subhanaw taala testing us is spiritual growth, that the tests of this world are primarily for our own spiritual growth. Think about it, when things go bad, and we still do the right thing. We become better as Muslims, we become closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala. Think about the time when your Salah was most sincere when you do our most sincere when you are closest to Allah subhanho wa Taala it's
usually at the difficult times.
And so, Allah subhanaw taala has told us that one of the reasons that he has put us on this earth and tested us is to help us grow spiritually to help us become closer to Him, to help us gain taqwa. And that's why the prophets had the hardest tests, because they had to be on the highest level of spirituality, they had to be completely divorced from the dunya. And so, they had such lives that they had no attachment to this dunya when they had the choice between this life and the afterlife, they chose Allah subhanho wa Taala.
So, when a Muslim is pushed, when a person is pushed into a difficult situation, it forces the believers to choose the highest spiritual qualities over the lower desires.
Meaning when you are tested
and you are put through difficult times, and you have a test to do what is right to do what is wrong, if you choose to do what is right, especially if it is difficult, you reach a higher level of demand, you reach a higher level of moral conduct, you become a stronger individual, less worried about what people will see. And more concerned with Allah subhanaw taala has to say
the tests of this world are also to test us in terms of generosity and contentment, against miserliness in greed.
And this is why Allah subhanho wa Taala has given some humans more money than others. Allah Subhana Allah has done this purposely he says in the Quran, Allahu Allah, Allah.
Allah has favored some of you over others with regards to your wealth with regards to your sustenance. So Allah has made some people more intelligent and others, Allah has made some people better businessmen and others, Allah has made some people more rich than others. But we all have this, it's a test for both sides. It's a test for those who have less to be content, to work hard to stick to what is halaal and is a test for those who have been given more to be contained as well not to fall into miserliness or greed, and to become generous and to share with others. So both sides are being tested in different ways. And Allah knowing internally what each of us are capable of, he
has given each of us a test accordingly. So those who are logical hunter knows can pass the test of wealth,
and give them wealth. And those people are learning those can pass the test of
lack of wealth, he gives them a lack of wealth. And sometimes a lot of people would vote at different points in their life.
Because these evils like greed and stinginess, the corruption of natural human desires, it's natural for a human to want wealth, it's natural for humans to want to save. But when the desire for wealth becomes greed, and when a desire to save become stinginess, this is when it becomes evil.
So Allah Subhana Dada teaches us in the Quran, that the world is an armada. It is a trust from Allah subhanho wa Taala. We will be held accountable, as mentioned in the hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam for every cent that we have, how we earn it, and how we spent it.
So in the Day of Judgment, if you had more wealth in this world, during the day of judgment, you're going to have even more to account for so it's a test and lots of 100,000 elsewhere in the Quran in chapter number eight verse 28, while mo Anima Anwar Lu como la de confit No, no, that your wealth and your children are a test fit and Allah subhanaw taala called your wealth and your children a test why children because it with regards to our children where we tend to be most lacks when it comes to Islam. We might be the most strict of Muslims. But when it comes to our daughter's wedding, we willing to you know, let some haram go. We might be the most strict of Muslims, but we feel you
know, but we feel sorry for our kids and we don't want to wake him up for future Salah. It might be the best of Muslim sometimes but we might buy something haram just to make our children happy. And so in this way the children become a test where we choose them over Allah subhanho wa Taala and this is dangerous. We as Muslim parents have an obligation to teach our children
To live our lives, which are pleasing to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And we can only do that if when it comes to our own upbringing of them, we do not compromise when it comes to fulfilling the commands of Allah subhanho wa Taala. So note that your wealth and your children are a test for you.
And Allah 200 also tells us elsewhere in the Quran in chapter 63, verse number nine, yeah, you have levena amanu, la, noir lucam, Allah, Allah, Allah, oh, you will believe. Do not let your your money or your children distract you. From the remembrance of Allah. Don't let him become a distraction. Allah has gifted you with these things. That's the beauty of these things that a lot what he has given us, whether it's well with our spouses, whether it's our children, whether it's our homes, all of these are gifts from Allah, they are things which Allah has given us as a gift. But the gift from Allah, if we allow it to become more important in Allah, it will distract us from Allah. So we have
to know our limits, that the rights of Allah always come first. So whether it's to do with our wealth, or our children, Allah Subhana, Allah has put us in this world, and he tests us. And this test of life, you know, it's for us to always choose to do the right thing.
Allah Subhana Allah also says on this topic, we're about to come talk about Dr. Raja via Blue accom. FEMA.
Allah has given some of you more than others, to test what you are going to do with what he has given you. So very powerful, verse surah, number six plus 165. Allah has given some of you more than others, to test, what are you going to do with what he has given you? So that's the important thing for us to think about? What are we doing with that which Allah has given us? That's the real test. Again, we go back to the Heidi's we mentioned at the beginning, if you remember Allah, at times of ease, Allah will be there for you at times of difficulty, many of us who are going through a time of ease, do you remember Allah? Are we fulfilling Allah rights? Has wealth become our God?
Has pleasing others become our God? Are you allowed to hunter that's still the central priority of our life.
The desire to gather wealth is something that humans can't satisfy. Understand this, if you or I had to fall into the trap of wanting more, and more and more, realize that you will never be satisfied, and you will never be happy.
Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam has told us if a man had a valley full of gold, he would desire another for nothing fools his mouth except the dirt of the grave. And Allah forgives those who sincerely repent.
Meaning, no matter how much we have of this dunya we still want more. And that's why Rasulullah scotian told us that the key to happiness is contentment. He says the real wealth is contentment. Because when you content, then you pull yourself out of the rat race. When you are content, then you can focus on what's more important. You're not worried about having a better car. If you're hungry, like I have a car, you're not worried about having a better home Alhamdulillah that I have a home, you're not worried about buying a bigger television, you're not worried about buying the latest cell phone, you have a cell phone Alhamdulillah
rather, your time, your efforts and your wealth are now focused on the right direction. What direction is that? That's what we've been speaking about today. Verse number seven of surah inshallah, and with that, verse number eight,
verse number seven for either for Robert upon top. So when you are finished with your tasks continue to work hard. And with that, verse number eight, will allow Rebecca for Bob and make Allah the center of your life.
Allah subhanho wa Taala reminds us in the sutra that with difficulty there comes ease. But we need to make Allah the center of our lives, we may need to make a larger banner with Allah, the primary focus of our lives. So even when the tests are over, even when our obligations are over, we still worship Allah subhanho wa Taala we still focus our time and our life in serving a large group of Hannah with Allah. And so Allah subhanaw taala has told us in the last few verses of the sutra for either one Saba, when you are finished, then continue to work hard. What ILA Rob because Rob, and make Allah the center of your attention.
turn your attention to your Lord Isla. Rob bigger to your Lord, for Rob, turn your attention. Set your goals, direct your desires towards your Lord. All these are different ways of translating verse number eight. Now as Muslims we need to understand a lot
subhanho wa Taala created us to worship Him. And He has put us in this world to help the world help others also worship Allah and to to be good to humanity and to all of creation, including the animals and the plants.
And with this goal of ours, that we need to spend our time worshiping Allah or serving humanity, it doesn't give us free time. It doesn't give us time to kill. There is no such thing in Islam as killing time. Because when you are killing time, you are held responsible for that.
Because we will be asked on the day of judgment about our free time and what we did with it, because he mentioned clearly in the Hadees, that you will be asked in the judgement about your free time and what you did to Allah gave you free time every day, and you wasted it wasted your entire life away. Time that could have been spent spent helping others
kind of could have been spent worshiping Allah and building your paradise time that could have even been spent just helping yourself. How many of us do the waste I mean, we live in a day and age where we are surrounded by things to help us waste our time.
You know, the entertainment industry has grown so large, that you can literally entertain yourself to death without any end at all. It just goes on and on and on is it's become unlimited. So unless we have firm control over ourselves, you know, that self discipline that Hold on, I'm wasting time, let me limit myself. Unless you have that you can get lost and become so important for us as believers to have the self control the self discipline, that I'm here for a purpose.
I will take a break and have some fun, but I will not do so much the end up wasting time. Right because in Islam, there's nothing wrong with taking a break and enjoying the hallowed things of this world. No. But that shouldn't become the goal of life. That shouldn't become the purpose of life that should not overcome the amount of time we spend in serving Allah and serving others creation.
So this is where the balance comes in.
If we fall into the modern day trap of playing video games all day, or watching TV series all day, or watching movie after movie all day, or just sitting and listening to music, all of these sorts of things, then we are not only involved in sin very often, but we are wasting our time. Imagine standing before the day of judgment, Allah asked you about your free time and what you did with it. And you end up seeing 1000s of hours of just video games and movies and music I would how would we asked Allah subhanaw taala for that.
Just think about that for a second. How would we ask Allah Subhana Allah and he of judgment, that when you remove the test, when our obligation is over, the only thing we did was indulge in that which was wasting time. And not even something beneficial for ourselves. It's another thing if you're doing something beneficial for ourselves, like reading a book or watching something educational. No, we're talking about people just wasting time wasting time. That's a sin in Islam. It's a sin. If you're going beyond what Allah has allowed, Allah has allowed us to take up an hour or two of the day to relax, unwind and do something halau for fun, that's there. But to go beyond
that, to
make this our goal in life, this is dangerous. In other Hades on this topic, narrated by Abdullah Ebony abus rajala. One who the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam said, benefit from five things before five things happen to you. Again, this is very, very directly linked to the topic. benefit from your life before your death. benefit from your health before you get sick, take benefit from your free time before you become too busy. Take benefit from your youth, before you get old and take benefit from your wealth before you become poor.
Again, five things your life, your health, your free time, your youth and your wealth rasuluh That was me saying Be careful of these five things. Don't be deceived by any of these things. Because that's what Satan wants us to do. Satan wants us to be deceived. And to think that we are going to last forever.
That's all he doesn't want so far. So you must think that you're going to last forever, wealth is going to last forever. But no, we need to understand our life is temporary. Our health is temporary. our free time is temporary. Our youth is temporary. And our wealth is also temporary. All of these things have an explanation, an expiry date. All of these things have an expiry date. All of us have an expiry date.
So the wise man and the wise woman adults who spent each of these things in doing that which is pleasing to Allah subhanaw taala. So the concept of wasting time
He has no basis in Islam. We have, we do not live that type of life, we do not live the type of life where we waste our time. No, we live the type of life where we are the most productive people on earth.
People who have given everything for others. And you see this in the lives of the early generations, when we study the lives of our predecessors, we wonder how did they do so much? Because they didn't waste time.
He'll do his time. So you read the books of Imam nawawi, who's had this book recoated now, and he's written so much about Islam, that we spend our entire lives reading it, we might not be able to finish it. Where did he get the time? Well, if you read him, though, his biography, you know, he never wasted time. From the time he was a child, he was engaged in studying Islam. He was one of those rare people who didn't even get married, he would sleep in the libraries, because he didn't want to waste a second of his life. Now, I'm not saying we need to do that. That was him. Allah has given him that level of righteousness. But if we take these people, as our role models, it will make
us feel at least a bit ashamed to waste too much time every day, and to start doing something productive with our times. And I mentioned in the previous surah, surah, to have that one of the ways of getting internal happiness, and getting over depression is in serving others. This is something which has been psychologically proven that when you do good for others, you become happier.
So this is why you know if we spending our lives only playing video games all day, or watching television all day, and only doing things for ourselves, we wonder why am I so depressed? Why am I so sad all the time? Why am I so miserable all the time. Get up and do something for someone else. Go out there and serve the oma and you will see you know you will feel that internal happiness you will see your life changing, you will become happier and closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala. Why? Because you are now using your time productively. That's what Allah subhanaw taala wants of us Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam has said that the most beneficial or the best of mankind or those who
are most beneficial to mankind, the best of mankind are those who are most beneficial to mankind. So we shouldn't waste any time and we should put all our life and all our effort into serving Allah subhanho wa Taala.
And that's Allah reminds us again, in the next verse, what Isla Rob Baker for hop,
turn your diet, your direction, and your attention and your goals and your desires. Isla Rob Baker, to your Lord.
Now from an Arabic grammar perspective,
the words Isla Rebecca is mentioned first, even though it's the what we would call the predicate of the sentence. This is part of the language of the Quran. That out of respect for Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah's Name is always mentioned first, whether he is the subject of the predicate of the sentence, his name is always mentioned first. So that's why this sentence is worded in this manner.
Right, this is part of the respect of Allah if Allah subhanaw taala gives himself this level of respect in the Quran. In truth, that's even more how much we need to respect the name of Allah subhanho wa Taala. So Allah subhanaw taala ends of the sutra with a very, very important note that our interests and our desires and our goals and our vision should all be directed towards the afterlife.
to that which Allah has prepared for the righteous, for that which Allah has, you know, set aside for us for that which Allah has kept special in the paradise for the believers, not for the things of this world.
Don't make your higher goals, your long term goals, having that big house, your long term goal is to have a special car. Because when you get it, you still gonna feel empty inside.
He's still gonna feel a bit of, you know, emptiness or whatnot, what do I do next? You'll find that that big house, big car, it didn't give you that level of happiness that you were expecting. Why because your goals are not in congruence with the purpose of your life, with the purpose of your creation. Save unless you have a handle with Allah created us and given us the purpose of worshiping Him, then know that happiness lies only in worshiping Allah, Allah music related minor. It's only in the remembrance of Allah that your hearts will find peace and rest. That's the that's the only way I didn't even see. It doesn't say you will find peace and rest in the remembrance of Allah. He says it
is only in the remembrance of Allah, that your hearts find peace, the words only Why? Because that's why we were created. As long as we are doing anything else and searching for peace and happiness anywhere else. You will not find it because you are going against the very wisdom and reason of your existence. As long as we are going
against the reason for the existence, then, you know, we will always have this internal disruption, this internal guilt, that is something I'm not doing. There's something I'm not doing right.
So this is an important reminder for us to direct our goals Allah.
And this is obvious when you think about the fact that whatever we have in this world is temporary. Why whatever is in the afterlife, is eternal. So why choose that which is temporary, over that which is eternal?
Why choose a few moments of pleasure in exchange for an eternity of pain.
You're either in doubt, engage in a few moments of pain in this world by going through difficulty at the hands of others for making the right choices, so that we can have eternal pleasure but Allah subhanaw taala and the afterlife
allows you to handle that reminded us multiple times in the Quran, about this goal is not only in the surah there are many other places in the Quran, where Allah subhana wa Taala speaks to us and reminds us of the purpose of life. And he reminds us that our goal should be directed entirely towards Allah subhanaw taala and I like to mention some of the verses on this topic from Surah Kahf I love surah couple 100. He likes one of the sutras I teach the Tafseer of at the university and xillia surah which is very close to my heart since we recite it every Friday. And in this surah Allah reminds us multiple times. He tells us at the very beginning of the surah
where you bust your all meaning alladhina amanu una saw the hottie anila hamaji Ron Hasina Maki Sina de la,
la de la casa de La Hoya de give good news to the believers who did righteous deeds, that they will have a great reward in which they will stay forever. But one those who say that God had taken a stand
so I was wondering when he speaks about paradise speaks about health, and you'll find that throughout the Quran. Likewise, in Surah calf a few verses later, Allah again reminds us of the purpose of life and the temporary nature of the things of this world. When he says in verses seven and eight,
in Allah Allah already Zina De La Nina Balu, whom au Hamas and omala were in eluna, ma Ali Hassan Eden, Rosa, that we have made everything on this earth Beautiful, beautiful, to test June in a blue home to test them, which of them is best in the deeds that Allah reminds us and I will make everything on this earth, dry soil.
Meaning everything is going to end whatever is on this earth is temporary as we are seeing right now. So why then, do we make this world our goal? Why then do we turn our attention and focus to this world as if it's going to last forever?
So Allah subhanho wa Taala tells us in the same Surah Surah verses 30 and 31. In alladhina amanu amilo saw the hottie in olana de Rajaraman Asana Allah, that definitely for those who believe and do righteous deeds, I will not allow the reward of those who do good deeds to be lost. With eikelboom Jana to add an integer em into human and Harry Hello nappy humming Asahi remains the hub while bus una sia Bahasa mentioned esta Barak budak ina Viva La Nina masala Bahasa net moto de Vaca these are those people who do righteous deeds for them they will be the gardens of Eden and the neat which rivers flow
they will be made to wear bracelets of gold and green silk clothing
and blockades and they will be resting upon high cultures What a beautiful reward and what a great place to rest. And in the sutra that we did the fear of pre previously alert reminds us again of the same goal of putting our entire focus in the afterlife and not this world. And he says to those who are feeling down and worried about the trials and tests of this world, was a hero to hero luck Amina Lula that the afterlife is better for you than what's in this world.
So what I'm going to do now is I'm going to very quickly recap all of the main lessons from the surah and we will round off then inshallah and close up next week we look at Surah 18, which is the next era and which deals again with the purpose of life and the way of pleasing Allah subhanho wa Taala you can see this common theme between the Surah Surah Doha surah, in Shiraz Surah 13, they say they all share a common theme and they flow from one into the other. So
inshallah inshallah Allah Subhana Allah, it starts off talking directly to Rasulullah sallallahu wasallam and by extension to us as well. We allow us to be handled
Allah tells Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, as I'm not sure of La Casa de rock, have I not expanded your chest for you, meaning Have I not removed all the difficulty from your chest Have I not put ease into your heart? Have I've not made things easy for you? Meaning that when we face difficulties in our life, when you face difficulties in our life, then
Allah subhanaw taala if we are strong, Allah subhanaw taala he strengthens our heart, he makes things easy for us, he makes it easy for us to handle the difficulties. And you'll find this that when you have a tough choice to make, and you choose to do that which is pleasing to Allah subhanho wa Taala over that which is displeasing to him, then, even though it may be difficult, because other people might be picking on you, people might be calling you extremists, people might be angry with you, it becomes easier because you find yourself more courageous than you were before you find yourself, you know, doing things which you didn't think you were capable of in terms of good deeds.
Allah subhanaw taala reminds us of this multiple times in the Quran, even in Surah Al Kahf, as which I was speaking about earlier, when Allah talks about the story of the people of the cave,
that when the young boys were in the cave, or rather before they went into the cave, they were just seven young boys in the entire community who believed, but he stood up, and he declared the belief openly. Allah Subhana, Allah says about him in Soraka, robot Allah, Allah kulu beam is a combo.
I strengthened the hearts when they took a stand. And they said, Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth.
All those ones that I strengthen the hearts when you took a stand. And this is something we all need to take lesson from, that when you do stand up for what is right. Even if everybody's against you. Even if your own family turned against you. Allah will give you the strength to see through. If you are sincere, Allah will help you to see through, just like he helped Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam and remove the difficulty from his chest. alumnus rakata rock did not to remove the difficulty from your chest, while the COVID rock
and remove from you your burden. You had this burden that how am I going to do this, I want to get away under the ankle, the rock, the burden which made your backfill heavy Allah is going to very descriptive metaphor of what the burden is like, you know, it burdens your back, it makes your back feel heavy. Metaphorically, I'm not saying that I took this away from you. I put peace into your heart. We're a crock. And I raised your status raised for you your status
in terms of Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam that the meaning of this is obvious Rasulullah Salallahu Salam status was raised until he became an is the greatest human being to ever walk the face of this earth. And you know, this is the seed that Allah has given him despite all of the attacks against his character, by the enemies of his time and by the enemies of Islam today, right, Lydia 1000s of people who are attacking the character of Rasulullah sallallahu sallam, but he still remains the most influential figure in the history of humanity. And he still remains the most beloved man to billions of human beings around the world.
And even if we expand that to ourselves are analogous a crock. And what allow me about this in terms of our own lives, it means that when you stand up for what is right, even though people may resist you initially, over time, you will find your status going higher. And you will find that people will begin to respect you and look up to you, if for no other reason, but simply for the reason that you had the courage to stand up for what you believe in, even though nobody else said people respect that alone. That alone is something which which earns you the respect of people. So Allah subhanaw taala is reminding us that when you have these difficult situations to face, don't worry. If you
were worshiping Allah in times of peace, during during these times of difficulty, Allah is going to be there for you. He's going to remove the psychological burden from your minds and your hearts. He's going to put strength into your minds and hearts. He's going to raise up your status and then alert reminders for enamal also useful in
that whatever difficulty there is definitely going to be is definitely whatever difficulty there is, is
meaning that
yes, you might face these difficult times in your life, but the easiest day as well. And the ease will always be more than the difficulty. The problem with us as human beings is we focus on the difficulties in our lives. We we've been programmed you can see by society to think very negatively to look at the negatives. While in reality, there is so much of positive around us if we just look at the good things in our life. They are way more than the bad things.
Think about it.
That's why we spoke about this in the surah. Before this intro to how
many Amati Rebecca had this as for the bounties and blessings of Allah upon you talk about it, talk about Allah blessing the bounties upon you
because you will realize they are more than the difficulties. So Allah tells us that definitely with difficulty these is definitely with difficulty this is this is repeated twice for emphasis also to indicate that the easy twice as much as the difficulty, Allah doesn't even see after the difficulties he says with the difficulty daisies
and you will find this there whenever you're facing time to difficulty. At the same time, there'll be other aspects of your life Allah brings ease into your life. We always examine other things to make the difficulty easy for you to handle. Of course, this is only if we live lives which are pleasing Allah subhanho wa Taala if you want a large assistance, then we have to do what is necessary to get it
and then Allah subhanaw taala reminds us
of the purpose of our life
and it is only by fulfilling this purpose of life, that we will get all of the above help of Allah subhanho wa Taala at difficult times for either for Raja phenyl sub Ella Rebecca, for hop. So when you are finished with your immediate tasks, continue to work hard
and turn your attention and your goals and your desires to your Lord.
Meaning that the test of life is never over for the believer. times of difficulty or a test times of is also a test. The true believers are those who spent all their time doing that which is pleasing to Allah subhana wa tada
you finish pray your first Salah for the previous una sala, you finished reciting Quran for fun sub work harder and you find sub work harder. How? By, you know, studying the Tafseer of the Quran, you finished with your test of life and now the easy time comes funds have continued to work hard by being grateful to Allah subhanho wa Taala gratitude is shown in worshiping Allah times of ease.
So this is the key part of the surah that if we have this part of the surah applied in our lives, then the rest of it will follow that if we work hard, in pleasing Allah subhana wa Taala at times of ease, if we turn our attention to Allah subhanho wa Taala and worship him at all times, and make him the goal of our life. If we make a law, the center of our goals and make all those wonderful one by which we will evolve our lives, then definitely, in times of difficulty, we will experience ease. Definitely Allah will be there to strengthen our hearts when things are difficult. But it all starts by worshipping Allah. And by making him the goal of our life, Allah subhanaw taala warns us so many
times in the Quran, not to be distracted from that goal by the things of this world. Allah subhanho wa Taala tells us in Surah Taha chapter number 20 verse 131 what are the Madonna Annie ayni illa matana v ozada men whom was a hurdle hayati, dunya. Enough Tina not enough Tina whom v. What is going risco Rebecca hi Rebecca. Do not burden your eyes to seek after that which we have given them to make them happy. Because those are just the horrible hayati dunia the beautiful things of this world. Enough Tina home, which we have given people to test them.
And what Allah has provided for you is more better and everlasting. All those bottles reminding us
that when we see the beautiful things of this world that He has given to others, don't chase out it don't desire it. Because Allah has something better in store for you. Allah has something higher install for you, General. So keep that as your goal and you will not be distracted by the things of this world. Allah hunter also tells us in Surah cosas mama od to machine for moto moto hayati, dunya, Xena to her mama in de la jolla Roboto.
That
whatever we have given them, it is only the things of this worldly life and the end is beauty. It's only the pleasures and beauty of the world to life. And what is by Allah is better and everlasting. Don't you think about it. Surah cosas verse number 16. Don't you think about it. They will Allah has given them
it's going to end it has anything
expiry date. It's not going to last forever. But what Allah has prepared for the believers is where it is better, where
it will last forever.
So this is the goal of the believer. This is the lifestyle of the believer. We don't waste time. We don't allow our goals to be distracted. When we are setting our life goals, we are setting them with Allah in mind that they are goals which are pleasing to Allah, which will help us to reach our long term goal of Paradise and the company of Allah subhanho wa Taala and the righteous in paradise.
That should be a long term goal. And any other goals that we should set should help us to get there. If we are setting goals which take us away from Allah,
like doing something haram or getting involved in haram Korea,
or earning haram wealth,
then we are building ourselves, you know, a deeper part in the help file.
We will be held accountable for everything that we see and do.
So let's take the verses of the surah
and make them a part of our lives. Again, you know, we do the Tafseer every week have a different surah you're on radio Lancer and the surah in Shira with spent three weeks on it. I purposely spent extra time azura to hide in Shira because these verses are so crucial and critical in our times.
We live in a time where people are distracted so easily. She don't have surrounded us with so many distractions, so many distractions that you even forget that you are Muslim at times. That's how we distracted we become.
And so the sutras are there as a reminder, a reminder from Allah subhanho wa Taala of the purpose of life, and the path to ease. It all lies in obeying Allah subhanho wa Taala. That's why when you meet people who live lives, which are pleasing to Allah subhanho wa Taala. You know, you see this the average Muslim, the average person, sometimes they feel sorry, for some reason, for those who are being allowed to shame that person. That's the way he job and shame that person doesn't get to have the fun we have. But then when you look at the person more closely, the person is being alone. And you compare that person's life to yours. You notice that actually happier, they might have this
money, they might have less of this dunya they might have, you know, going they might be going through a lot of tests, but they have this inner peace and contentment with them. Why? Because the Lord is happy with them. If your Lord is happy with you, then nothing else matters.
So we continue to seek our pleasure, and our joy and our goals in things of this world. We will never find happiness, never, he will continue and continue to go deeper and deeper into despair.
Worrying about this worrying about that you wanted a new TV so badly, you took it on loan and bought it. And now you've got another one paying off the loan. And on top of that another one another one paying off the interest on the loan. And another one which you've forgotten about answering to alarm the Day of Judgment for paying that interest.
You see how we put ourselves into deeper pockets?
What if you live a life pleasing to Allah subhanaw taala you don't worry about that. Those worries are non existent in your life. Don't be worried about it, am I doing what is right? If I make a mistake, I repent and get back on my feet and try again.
And hamdulillah that's what we need to be doing. So this tafsir that we do every Wednesday morning here on radio and so don't let it just be a nice lecture that you listen to in the car or wherever you are, you know? And then that's it. No, these are the words of Allah subhanho wa Taala his message to you and me directly. Take it, put it into our hearts apply to our lives and the right
make the verses of the Quran such that when something happens the first thing that comes to your mind are the words of Allah. When things go wrong, the first thing that comes to your mind and in number two see you so
when you have completed your task and you have free time, the first thing that must come to your mind is for example a rocket up on top.
When you are working out your life goals and plans, the first thing that should come to your mind is Eli Rob bigger for Bob.
Why? Because this is the way of the believer. The Quran is our goal, our heart and our life. Without it.
We are no different for animals.
So let's take these verses and make them part of our lives inshallah. Next week, continuing on the same topic, we move on into
Tafseer of the next surah which is Surah 13, another beautiful surah of the Quran, where Allah subhanho wa Taala again speaks about the purpose of life. And again, he speaks about the types of people in this world and then leaves it for us to decide, you know which which type of people are going to be.
So we're going to look at that next week inshallah we might have to spend a couple of weeks on it. If not, we look at the next week, and the sooner after that showed us the beautiful first surah to be revealed of the Quran surah Allah ikura we will look at that as well in the upcoming weeks inshallah, we ask Allah Subhana Allah to guide us all, and to make the kuranda the light of our hearts and the means of us being closer to him. Walk with a whiner and humbly Ravi alameen wa salam alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
