If Allah will bless us, you know what great my Mounties and they are going to be times that Allah will test us with things that really shake us to our core.
And in all situations, we should be focused on the pleasure of Allah subhanho wa taala. In all situations, we should be focused on doing what Allah wants us to do. Now, the beauty of the surah that we have chosen to discuss today is that it was revealed at the time, when Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was feeling sad.
And it was revealed to cheer him up, and to give him hope and to give him optimism. So it's a very powerful surah. Because if, if it was revealed, to help the best of creation, to feel happy, then anyone answer that until the end of time, who reads the sutra, and reflects on it, and practice it should also feel happy and feel relieved and feel optimistic about the future.
So Surah duha was revealed. Very early in Islam. He was one of the first 10 students to be revealed, very, very early in Islam and the suburb of New Zealand. The reason for revelation of the surah is that
at the early point, in the prophethood, of Rasulullah, sallAllahu, alayhi wasallam, there was a period of time in which he did not receive any revelation.
Some of the Allama said was six months. So for six months, he did not see the angel geographe Salam, for six months, no Quran was revealed. And Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa salam began to worry. He began to think, is Allah upset with me? Now? What's going on white? Why is it no revelation coming to do something wrong? We all have these thoughts. You know, when things go wrong in our life, you're like, Well, did I do something wrong? Am I being punished? These are thoughts that go through our minds, right? So Rasulullah saw some had some thoughts go into his mind that they were making himself. And to add to that the police began to mock, the enemies of Islam began to tell you,
where's your angel? Where's your God? Where's your revelation? Why is nothing new coming down? If you're a prophet, why don't you have any new suitors. And this was a test for Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, to build up his resistance to build up build up his resiliency, right? Allah subhanho wa Taala will test all of humanity. And the Prophets had the hardest of them. So this was one of the many tests that are sold allah sallallahu alayhi wa salam had to go through. So during this time, where he felt this deep, deep sadness, where he began to miss the Quran, and must Gibreel Ali salaam, and Mr. Revelation, and he began to think that maybe Allah subhanaw taala is angry with
me. At this time, Allah revealed two beautiful sutras back to them and they are in the Quran back to back Surah a DUA and shut up or shut up. Right or Surah Al Inshallah, there's two names for the other surah and these two suitors come one after the other in the Quran, they are considered a pet. In fact, some of the early Allama actually considered him to be one shooter, right? This is, this is something fascinating that if you read the
Tafseer of surah Taha Shirov, many of the early Allah might actually consider them to be a single surah. Because they deal with the same theme, they have the same flow, the same style of poetry, they revealed at the same time, right. And they flow together with a singular message of hope and optimism. But eventually, there was a checkmark that these are two separate sources. And so we're dealing with the first of the two today and inshallah maybe another day, we will do the Tafseer of the second surah. But it's important that when you feeling down, and when you are feeling sad, we need both of these tools. Because both of them have verses in them, they can give you a major boost
in your mind, or do they have verses in them, that can really help you
to grow and and to get back on track and to get and to get close to Allah subhanaw taala okay.
So at this time, when Rasul Allah, so Allah while he was on, he's facing this darkness, he's facing this test he's facing the people mocking him, he's facing these thoughts are coming into his mind, the surah is revealed. And before I go into the Tafseer, of the Surah, a reminder to all of us here of something very human about the story. And that is a reminder that it's human, and normal, to sometimes feel sad, to feel overwhelmed, for sad thoughts to come into your mind. Some of us grew up with this idea that if you're feeling sad, then your emotion is low. That's not necessarily true. To go through lives, you have to experience every type of emotion. You're going to have days where you
are happy. You're going to have days where you are sad. You're going to have days where you're frustrated. You're going to have days where you're stressed out, you're going to have days where you're angry. This is all
Part of the test of life and being able to recognize your emotions, and to work through them and to deal with them is very important. So if someone is sad, or depressed or anxious or going through a difficult time, don't tell them, You're not allowed to be sad. That's helpful. Rather help them to work through their feelings, help them to work through their feelings instead of dismissing their feelings. And so we see this that Allah subhanho wa taala, this Surah it is a message of optimism and hope it's a way to work through your feelings. It's a way to look at whatever's going wrong in your life, and view it from a different lens. So you can see the goodness that you can move forward
and have a more optimistic view of the future.
So very briefly, let's do a quick translation of the surah. And then we'll break it down verse by verse and do a tough scene of each line Surah Doha is a McKinsey consumer made up of 11 If
and the translation is as follows. What do you have, by the morning light? Well lately either suggest, and by the night when it is calm. Ma was the aka Rob Guca, Walmart Allah, your Lord has not forsaken you. Nor has he forgotten. While Pharaoh laka, Amina Gula, and the ark era, what is to come is better for you than what has passed. While so for your article, Rob Booker.
Soon your Lord will give you and you will be happy ALEMI agenda your team and
they will not find you an orphan and we gave you a family what Jada ball and bajada and we found you wandering? And we gave you guidance. What did you learn? And we found you in poverty and we gave you out. But Amalia Dima Paula Dukkha. As for the orphan, do not treat him harshly what a must.
And as for the beggar do not turn him away do not speak unkindly to him. Well, Amma Binet Amati, Rob pica had this and as for the blessings and bounties of your Lord, then proclaim it, talk about it. Be open about it.
11 verses, every single verse is a gem. And really every single verse of the Quran is a gem. If you take the time to take any idea of the Quran, and to do the double to sit and reflect on it, it can change your life. Because the verses of the Quran are IR they are very close. They are signs of Allah. And every single verse of the Quran is so powerful that you can completely change your life and these 11 verses are absolutely amazing. So Allah subhanho wa Taala begins the surah with a possum with an old a very often when we read the Quran, when we reflect on the Quran and we read the translation of the Quran, we tend to skip over the oats right we tend to see a custom and we just
read it and move forward. But even in the customs, even in the age of Allah subhanaw taala there are lessons
and this is an important point to the when you find a verse of the Quran, where Allah is taking an oath. Just stop to ask yourself, What is Allah taking an oath on and why and how did this impact my life? Now an important breakup Aqeedah we as Muslims are only allowed to take a possum on Allah subhana wa right to see what law he got owed by Allah. But Allah subhana wa Taala being the Lord of the heavens and earth and the one who makes the rules, he can take a possum on whatever he wants. And in the Quran, Allah takes the possums on to things, something that is important, or something that is a sign, something that is important like he takes an oath on Rasulullah Salallahu Salam and
the Kaaba because they are important they are part A 14 parts of our religion or something that is a sign related to the message that is given in this surah Allah takes an oath on to things and in general democracy reinstate that these two things are signs related to the message. So what is the message the message of Surah to her is to have hope about the future to be optimistic about the future. What are the signs in the oats related to hope for the future? Allah subhanaw taala says what to have by the morning light.
The morning light what is the morning light represented? In almost all cultures This is a universal metaphor. The morning light references hope you know in English we say there is light at the end of the tunnel. It's always darkest before the dawn. These are kinds of things you get your almost every language and culture that the morning light represents hope that no matter how dark life gets, no matter how dark your child gets, there is light at the end of the tunnel. There is a dawn coming
He's a morning coming. So Allah is taking an oath or to harp on the morning light because the morning light represents hope. It represents optimism. It represents a bright future and that is the core message of the surah a bright future while Layli either such as and the night when it is still Allah second out in the Sunnah is on the night we need to stop, what does the night we needed stone according to some of them of Assyrian it means the Hydrotech Kiama later.
So when you are going to difficulties, what is the most important act of a bada that can get through to get you through your difficulties? It is the ambulance to the 100 to wake up in the middle of the night when the night is still and it's just you and your Lord at worship Allah to make dua to Allah. That is the moment of peace that is the moment of hope that is the moment of optimism. So Allah is taking an oath on that time. That that middle of the night the ER millennial time, that is a time of hope that is a time of optimism. So there are multiple lessons from the verse number one is when you go into difficult times, pray the tahajjud, aka Malay number two is that that time is supposed to
give you hope. It's supposed to give you optimism that when you wake up and pray tahajud it should fill your heart with hope about the future. So even in these verses, which some of us just say, Oh, it's just oats, it's not just oats, there is Tafseer a point of zero point of zero on these holes. Every single oat in the Quran is full of lessons and gems. So in the future whenever you come across a quote in the Quran, don't just say okay, this is just an old, rather open the books of tafseer or sit with Allah or some of the Allama and ask him to explain it to you. And you will be amazed by the lessons you can take just from the author of the Quran.
Allah takes us out by the morning light and tahajjud type and it does stop. And then Allah subhanaw taala gives his message to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa salam in the mobile Syrian say the message of Surah dua is primarily for Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa salam to give him hope at that moment, but by extension, it is for every believer until the end of time to give us hope. Right? So although every verse here is directly addressing Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we can still reflect on the verse and take lessons for our life and the life of our life. So Allah says Ma was the Arca rabuka Wallmark Allah, your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has he forgotten
immediately. The Surah begins with Allah addressing the thoughts that are going to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam to mind at the time, that Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam after not receiving revelation for so long, he begins to worry, that is Allah has a lot angry with me, Has he forgotten about me? And immediately the very first message of the Sunnah Your Lord has not forgotten you. Noisy displeased, right? Allah has not forgotten you noisy, this peace, meaning get those thoughts out of your mind. Allah loves you have positive thoughts about Allah. And this is our first lesson from the surah to have horsnell Don Billa to have positive thoughts about Allah. And
Rasulullah saw some he's been trained through the students on how to do this, on how to have wisdom. Right. And then by extension, rasool Allah has taught us how to do and this is something we all have to train our hearts to do. Because it is very easy. When life goes the vehicle for us to have negative thoughts. How often do you see a believer that when life gets difficult to believe it thinks Allah hates Allah is punishing me? You know, I'm never going to be forgiven. I'm a bad person. These are not the thoughts that should go through the mind that
we should have. Who snow Dawn Billa we should think good about Allah. So when things go bad, we should think to ourselves, Allah is testing me. And if Allah is testing me, and I impatient, Allah will work. If I impatient with this, something good will come later. They must be good in what Allah is, has has caused to happen. Houston is on Billa day when something goes wrong. You tell yourself that this is from Allah, or whatever Allah has willed is best for me. So there must be some good in this, even if I don't understand it, there must be somebody this. And so this is the first message of opening the surah. to reframe the way we think about Allah subhanho wa Taala do not think about
Allah subhana wa Taala in negative terms, think about Allah in positive terms. And we have the Hadith where Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that Allah situata Hadees Bootsy that Allah said, I am as my servant things of I am as my servant things.
So if you are thinking of Allah as r Rahmani r Rahim, and Allah dude and you're thinking about the names of Allah and reflecting on the names of Allah thinking positive about Allah, Allah is going to help me Allah is going to reward me that Allah is going to get me out to the situation that Allah is going to automate to us. That is what you get
What if you are thinking negative thoughts about Allah, that is what you're going to get to reframe the way you think about your Creator.
The next verse, Allah subhanaw taala says, while you know to Pharaoh laka
what is to come is better for you than what has passed, meaning the future is bright, be optimistic about the future.
So the first principle we learned from the surah is to have Woosnam one biller to think good about Allah. The second principle we learned from the surah is to be optimistic about the future. And this is again part of our religion, that when we think about the future, it should always be in terms of hope. We should not think about the future in terms of darkness, we should not think, Oh, the future is going to be terrible, the future is going to be bad, the future is going to be miserable. Think about the future optimistic. Think after hardship comes ease, think Allah is gonna get me out of the situation, think that something good is coming for me at the end. Now, some people may argue that
they have seen many people whose lives never got better. They met many people and maybe even you may be in a situation where something bad happens, and it never ends. So where is this good that comes in the future.
And for that, we jumped to the other meaning of this verse, notice the choice of words, for the future, what word Allah used to describe the future was our favorite, the ark, the Ark era is better than what has passed. So, somebody will first see Lindsey Ophira yo means the future are the seniors are here are here are your means accurate, the future after we pass away, you see in life, there are two types of tests, the other temporary tests the tests that happens and then he passes and you have ease after the hardship. So for example, you may lose a job that is a test, but it is inshallah a temporary test. And eventually you will find another job or open a business and that test will be
over.
You may get injured, right, that is a test. But the test is temporary, it will end you will get better inshallah and life. But some tests of life, do not end in this world. You go blind, you may be blind to the rest of your life. You are widow, the orphan that may affect you for the rest of your life, you have a chronic illness that may affect you for the rest of your life. You are in prison that may affect you for the rest of your life. There are some trials that do not end in the studio. So how then does this verse provide hope to people going through those type of trials, by focusing on the market by reminding yourself This world is a place of test will ask you not to say
Drug Law criminal law, but the Archaea is better. If I have solid wood destroyed by I have struggled with the death of a loved one if I have struggled with the chronic illness if I have struggled with the fact that I'm going to pass away. So I have struggled with the fact that I may never see, you know, what I want to see in this world if I have struggled with this, generally. And the thought of gender should give you optimism and the thought of gender should keep you going. And the thought of gender should seat let you see the light at the end of the tunnel. Because this world isn't everything. In reality, this world is nothing. This world is nothing. 1000 years from now, all of
this will be ancient history. And a million years from now, nobody will even remember it. What matters is in the short time that we are here, we get to gender. That's what matters that we get to gender. So we focus on the outcome. So this surah teaches us optimism that the future is bright, the future is bright. And sometimes the brightness is not in dunya but it comes into effect, but inshallah it will come into near as well.
The next verse will assume for you are eager Rob Booker, but soon your Lord will give you and you will be pleased. Soon your Lord will give you and you will be pleased. Now the more facility Allah has left this open ended. He said soon your Lord will give you if you want, whatever is bothering you, whatever is whatever is in your heart. Because for each person reading the surah there's something else that's bothering them. Right? If someone is making dua for a child, and they haven't had children for 10 years, and then reading this verse, Allah says soon I will give you you can take optimism Vanessa in sha Allah will give me a child. So if someone is battling financially, and they
want to get out of debt, and they want to be financially secure, so they can take that soon Allah will give you financial security, whatever it is that's bothering you, this this verse should give you hope, that Allah will give me what I need. And if he doesn't give me what I need in this dunya he will give me better than it in this world and the next because sometimes what we want is not what is best for our art. This is a very important point. Some of us assume that if we ask Allah for something, he has to give us the exact thing, but that's not the case. Because you may be asking Allah for something and that something is not what is best for your author. Sophie
example. You may be asking Allah to bless you with a child. And for most people, children is our blessings.
But for some people, their children are a child. Maybe Allah knows that if a child comes into your life you'll be a child to Allah protects you from that child, but not giving you that blessing. Right? So Allah knows what's best for us is the same with wealth. For most people, wealth is a blessing. But for some people, wealth is a child to Allah protects them from wealth, to protect them from themselves. So we have to understand that Allah knows what is best for us. Allah will give us what is best for us. And this is the beauty of the verse, Allah leaves it open ended. Allah somebody says, We'll assume for your DeCaro because soon your Lord will give you He doesn't say what, but we
understand from this verse soon your Lord will give you whatever is best for whatever is best for you. And you will be happy with Allah has given you, you will realize that what Allah wants for you is better than what you wanted for yourself, you will be happy in this world or the next, you will be happy.
So now there is a shift in the theme of the Surah, you'll find that the surah is divided into four portions. The first two verses are the puzzle. The next three verses are shifting the way we think about Allah subhanho wa Taala your Lord, He's not angry with you. He's better for you. You know, Allah will give you and you'll be happy. This is all shifting our Aqeedah the next three verses after that are reminding us of the past, reminding us of Allah favors that came before. And the final three verses focus on what actions you can take, what can you do to improve your situation. So again, four parts to the Surah, the possum, the Aqeedah, the past and actions that you can take. So
ALLAH SubhanA wa den reminder, Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam have three blessings that Allah gave him. And there are lessons in this for us, in terms of us reflecting on our own blessings Allah has given us because what happens is, when life gets difficult, our minds begin to focus only on what is wrong. And we tend to forget all of the good that Allah has put into our life. So Allah subhanaw taala, with these verses is calling upon us to reflect Allah has given you this Allah has given you that Allah has given you so much, don't focus on the negative focus and all of the positive, because you will find that even in these moments of darkness, there are 1000 things to be
grateful for. So focus on those things don't focus on the negative. So Allah mentioned three beautiful blessings that He gave Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and most of us can find at least one of these verses apply to our lives. So Allah Subhana Allah big Luca, yeah, team and for our they will not find you an orphan. And we gave you a family Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam his father passed away before he was born. His mother passed away when he was six years old. His grandfather passed away when he was eight years old. By the time where this surah is revealed. You have the beautiful wife Khadija regular and her the Mother of the Believers. He has his
beautiful families daughters, who are going to be it from the leaders of you know of the woman of gender, Fatima Rajan, and amongst them. He has this amazing, beautiful family. To go from being an orphan, to having such an amazing family is a it is a it is a blessing because when you look at statistics, orphans are often the ones who will become poor. orphans are often the ones who end up you know, problems who become like, thieves will become like addicts who have the most difficult life because they don't have parents to guide them. Right? But Allah is showing Rasulullah saw somebody even though he was often allowed to kill him every step of the way, to make sure that he
grew into the best version of himself. And so he ended up with these blessings of such a beautiful family. Allah took care of him every step of the way, even without parents, Allah gave him a grandfather, even without his grandfather, Allah gave him a I will totally be I will tell him why Fatima be the acid and a man. All of these people were there for we always had family, no matter what was going on in his life, there was always someone there for him. So Allah guided him from strength to strength. And so we normally see the lives of often going in the opposite direction, his life when in the most positive and beautiful direction possible, as Allah reminds him of his
favorite, then Allah reminds him of another beautiful fable, or Janaka. Ball and for her, we found you wandering, and we gave you guidance. Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam used to feel sad about the state of his community. He used to look around and see people worshipping idols and gambling and drinking alcohol, and telling the daughters that alive and you should feel like humans shouldn't be living like this. They should be more to life. So he would go to the cave, and he would sit in the cave and he would think and you would reflect and you're trying to figure out, what are we supposed to be doing with our lives? And in that cave, Allah gave him the guidance. Allah made
him the final messenger. Allah gave him the message that will spread throughout the world to such an extent that today, a quarter of that world is following that message. Allah gave him the guidance not just in guidance, but the best of guidance, He made him the final
Rasul of Allah subhanho wa taala, the greatest of all creation, Allah gave him the highest of status as he mentioned in the next sutra. And so we see the beautiful blessing. And again, when you think about it, you know, growing up as an orphan in that society, people would expect things to go the opposite way. Right? Today, evil often grows up in a society where there's alcohol and gambling and all of these vices, most likely the orphan is going to fall into those vices. But again, Allah protected the heart of Rasulullah saw him every step of the way. And so not only did he give his family, but he gave him the best of guidance he made in the Rasool who's who's guidance will benefit
every believer until the end of times. We'll look at Elon for us. And we found you without wealth and we gave you financial freedom. Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had to go through stages of poverty in his life. He was not born into a wealthy family, of course, being an orphan. He was not born into a wealthy family, and even his uncle, I will call it did not have wealth that much compared to the rest of the college, but he took care of his own children and Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and didn't Rasulullah sallallahu Elisa grows up and he marries Khadija Allah blesses them with Baraka in their wealth. And he gives them enough wealth that he gets take care of
his family and focus on his mission. So Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi salam he was not wealthy in the modern sense of the world.
Nowadays, when you think of wealthy we think billionaire billionaire, that's not what economics are gonna simply means that you free from what have now means that you, you are not in poverty. Right Rasulullah saw some describes in many Hadith says that, if you have food, and you have shelter, and you have clothing, and you have a good family, right, and you've got enough for the day, you are free, you are independent, you are your bed than most people's in that situation. So Rasulullah sallallahu, some he had that he wasn't a millionaire. But he was he had enough that he could focus on his Dawa without worrying about how is he going to take care of his family, Allah has blessed him
with that much. And in these verses is a call upon us to remember Allah as favors. When you are going through a difficult time, he could step back and focus on the favorites of Allah subhanho wa Taala upon you and I personally I do this, when I'm going through a trial and I'm feeling depressed, I forced myself to sit and write a list of 100 things that are going great in my life, to counter all the negative thoughts. And it always works. It always helps you remember every positive in your life, it helps you to relax and to calm down, and to realize that the trials in your life are very small compared to all of the things that Allah has blessed you with. And so Allah subhanaw taala
calls upon us to remember the good, then the final message of the sewer, what can you do? What actions can you take to improve your situation? What actions can you take to move forward? And so greetings I mentioned in the sewer. For Amalia team, Doc Harrell must
ask for the orphan, then do not mistreat him. And as for the beggar do not chase him away.
So Allah subhanaw taala calls upon us to take care of the orphans and the poor. Now what does this have to do with our province? It's an interesting question, right? You're going through a difficult time we're going through hardship, you're in depression, you are sad. Allah is one that helps you go look after the conference, the orphans go and help the poor people. What does one have to do with the other? Well, there's a number of benefits that come in here. Number one, when you are helping others, it automatically improves your own body automatically improves your own your own mental health, right? When you are helping somebody else, it improves the condition of your own heart. This
has been proven even psychologically. Number two, when you see people who are in more difficult situations than you, it makes you remember the favors of Allah upon you, and it makes your situation more bearable. So maybe you are going through heartbreak, maybe you are going through losing your job, maybe you're going through the death of a loved one, whatever it is, but when you go to an orphanage, and you see what the orphans have been through, and if you go and you've learned someone who is battling financially, and you and you help them out, and they tell you their story, your heart softens. And you begin to realize all of the blessings Allah has given and you begin to
realize you have so much to be grateful for and that makes the child's of life that you are going through, easier to deal with. And so seeing other people's difficulties, makes it easier for you to deal with your own trials. And number three, the third blessing that we get from helping the orphans and the poor, when we are going through a difficult time is remember the principle of our religion, when you help others, Allah will help you. When you help others Allah will help you if you are going through a difficult time and you are still taking our time to help others you are still doing what you can for other people you are still helping the poor you
You yourself are poor, you even helping the orphans, even if you yourself are an orphan, that Allah is going to help you. Allah is with the believers who help the other believers, if your heart is with others, and you are genuinely sincerely being generous and caring about others, that Allah is going to help you out of your difficult situation. And so this is a way of earning the help of Allah subhanho wa Taala by being a force of good in this world, by being someone who contributes to society, by being someone who goes out there and gets things done. And he fought psychological benefits that we can take from this is that if you have negative thoughts going through your mind,
if you have depressing thoughts going through your mind, and you just sit and do nothing, those thoughts get worse and worse and worse, and they begin to overwhelm. And we know depression, it makes a person now they stop thinking they stop, have feeling emotions, they stop wanting to do anything, you can reach a point where you just sit and you just stare at the wall for hours. You don't want to get to that point. How do you stop yourself from getting to that point, by doing things by taking action by going out there by being a positive force in society by contributing to society by helping others and so you find a project and you focus on that project and you'll find
that you will improve your own mental health. So it's not only the orphans and the poor, but any way that you can benefit this ummah, find ways to benefit the Ummah, Allah will take care of you take care of the ummah of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And Allah will take care of you. So this is the message we take from these two verse, the final verse, the final verse, Allah shahada ends the Sunnah by telling us what I'm being Yamato erotica, for Hadees. As for the blessings of Allah, to talk about it, talk about the blessings of Allah. Now, how do we understand this first in relationship to the rest of the surah? Well, there are a number of different ways to interpret this
verse in a number of different fields. But we'll go with the most general one, right, some of the overseers and have said that this verse means any blessings of Allah in life. Think about it. Think about the blessings of Allah and Yaga.
Think about them, make sugar for them, be grateful for them, and talk about it. And what this does is this is this teaches us that when we go into difficult times, instead of complaining, instead of whining, self telling other people about our problems, talk about the good things in your life. Because if you're talking about the good things, your life number one, you have to think about the good things in your life. And if you're thinking about the good things in your life, it helps you to realize that it's not just problems, it's good in my life as well. And this helps you to improve your state of mind, then it also helps you to become more grateful to have sugar. Because if you're
thinking about your good things, instead of thinking about your problems, then you end up in a state of sugar, because you're thanking Allah for those good things. And then when you talk about the good things, it spreads positivity into society, and make society more positive. Like can you imagine, if every time you met people, all they do is complain about their problems. You don't want to meet with people, you don't want to spend time with such people. You wouldn't want to be around such people because negativity is contagious, as his optimism is contagious. So if you are just talking negative things, and complaining and whining, and talking about your problems, it makes the other people feel
bad. It makes other people feel depressed, it makes them feel like life is difficult, their life is bad. And then this spreads, and it's spread and it makes society depressed. But if you will, all of the problems in your life, you're still talking about the amount, we're still talking about the blessings of Allah in your life. And this gives everybody hope, not just you, but even those who come to visit you. Even those who you hang out with, even your friends and family, it gives all of them hope. Because if you can see such goodness, during your most difficult times, it makes them realize they must see the good in their lives as well. And let me give you an example of this.
Imagine a situation where someone has been told that they have cancer, and they have a week left to love. And that person is lying in their bed. And they know they have a few days left in this world. And people are coming to visit them knowing that they're never going to see this person again, leaving this world. So in that situation, if that person who is lying in bed about to pass away will cancel. Every time someone comes to visit and ask you how are you? And the person replies on hamdulillah or praises to Allah. Allah gave me a good life. And he gave me Imani. And he gave me a good family. And he gave me so much success in my life. And he gave me wanting of how many days I
have that before I pass away instead of taking my life suddenly, suddenly, and I'm grateful to Allah for all of this. All of these blessings and maybe the material pick up I had this to talk about the blessings of Allah this is an example of
a person is about to die. The only talking about the name of Allah. What effect do you think that will have on the people who come to visit
the
People who come to visiting will leave from the awestruck. They leave from the inspired, they leave from the humble, they leave from the thinking that this person who's passing away, is only thinking about the good things in their life and thanking Allah for the good things in their life, who am I to be complaining all the time. So just now spread positivity in the community, for your own self, it allows you to make peace with the other of Allah, that yes, I have these problems, but I have these Naomasa as well. So you end up making peace with the color of Allah. And for those who you talk to, that gives them hope. It makes them humble. It makes them make sugar as well. So this
spreads Niyama and it spreads sugar and it spreads positivity throughout the community. So it's a very powerful verse, to end the surah. That when things are going through your mind and make you think negatively, talk about the good things in your life to counter those negative thoughts. And it will help you feel better and help those around you feel better. And we see a similar message in Surah Yusuf would Prophet Jakob Elisa. Referred Jakob Elisa is another prophet that Allah tested, what kinds of testing we could never imagine. This Take, take a moment to think about the trial that Yahoo Alehissalaam went through, probably jacobellis Salam, his youngest, one of his youngest and
most beloved sons, is literally thrown in a wild by his other sons. And he doesn't see him for 40 years. Now imagine being separated from your most beloved child, for like 40 years. I just difference of opinion, the exact number of years but around 40, Allah knows best. But just imagine being separated from your child for that long.
And now imagine on top of that, he's still living with those other sites. And he's still trying to guide them. And he's still trying to help them, too.
He's still trying to help them to, to repent, and to seek forgiveness. He's still trying to go to Sudan. Imagine how many of us when when someone in our family hurts somebody out in our family, we cut off ties with them, right. But Jacoba Islam, he chose the best route, which is to continue being a means of guidance for them. To continue teaching them Toba to keep continue teaching them to be righteous, having hope that inshallah these his kids will one day
become righteous individuals. And it ends up happening towards the end of the story. And right at the end of Surah Yusuf, we have the situation where Yehovah Islam is now separated from three of the sons, three of his sons, and the other sons come home, and they tell him that, you know, two more brothers are coming back. You have three of your kids that are coming home. What does Yaqoob on a slab say? It says, I only complain about my grief and sorrow to Allah. I only complain about my grief and sorrow to Allah. This is the way of the believer.
Press a yes, if you need therapy, go and speak to a therapist. Right? But don't complain to everybody. Don't make your conversations everybody just complaining. Don't be the kind of person who when people come to visit you and ask you, how are you? Your reply is just complained that one complaint or one update now. Be someone who if you need to complain, wake up the 100th time and complain to Allah and ask Allah for help. But when you're with other people, be a source of optimism be a source of hope, be someone who spreads goodness in community, be someone who speaks things that are message of optimism, message of hope. And we see Jacoba Lisa, he didn't give the message of hope
to his sons and he tells you so his sons to not lose hope in the Mercy of Allah because only the disbelievers lose hope in the Mercy of Allah. And then what happens next is reunited with the entire family, including use of we as not seen for decades.
This is the story of how the prophets are tested, and how they dealt with their child and it ties up beautifully with the story of surah Taha finally, we conclude by looking at Surah dua in light of what happened next to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he would he at that point just had a handful of followers. And for someone who is who's like, outside, just analyzing the situation.
The future doesn't look good. Right? It looks like how is this man going to gain a following? How is he going to change the world? But the miracle of Islam, and one of the modules are of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is that from the smallest of means they accomplish the greatest of goals. Within the next 20 years. All of Arabia is following Islam. And within the next 100 years, it is a mighty empire across three quantities. This is a miracle. This is an absolute miracle. And even now 1400 years later, the Muslims aren't even politically strong politically We are weak, but we are still
A quarter of the Earth, we are still growing in number. We are still influential in every field, we still have Muslim experts, you know, in every area of life.
This is the vertical of Islam, that this one man who Allah chose to be the final messenger had to go through the most difficult of trials in this world.
And he maintained his optimism. And he maintained his Tawakkol in Allah and His original one beloved, and he continued to teach people the deen and compete continue to spread the message of Islam.
Allah put baraka
and when he passes away, all have Arabia is following him. And within 100 years of his debt, for the hundreds of years of him leaving this world,
we have a piety empire
that has emerged from his followers, that will go on to be one of the superpowers of this world for a long, long time.
So that is the message of surah Taha a message of optimism, a message of hope, a message of a believer, taking an approach to life, that whatever happens to me, is best for me. And this should be the attitude of the believer, that whatever happens to me, is best for me.
And we should understand that life is a test we are going to be tested. But when we are tested, even those tests, even the tests, they are what is best for us. And I want us to end by understanding this point very clearly. No, sometimes. Sometimes we think to ourselves, you know, if life was easy, if I had everything I wanted, I could just sit in worship Allah and I could you know too much about that.
But in reality, in reality, when life is easy, most of us forget Allah. And most of us become lazy. And most of us get caught up in this dunya. And even in terms of dunya, we get lazy when it comes to dunya as well. Many of us when life is easy, we pick up weight, we start waking up late, we start oversleeping we start over eating, life becomes too easy. We end up failing at the end do. We need our trials to make us better people, every trial that you go through, that makes you stronger, that gives you new skills, that gives you more emotional intelligence that gives you stronger control over yourself that makes you braver and makes you more closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala every
single child you go to that has a positive impact on you is the Netmarble. It is a blessing from Allah. It is a blessing from Allah because without the child, you could not become the best version of yourself.
And this will be our approach to the trials of life, that this is something Allah is sending to me because it is best for me, this is going to make me a better person. Learning how to deal with difficult situations makes us better people.
And sometimes we don't realize this. We want life to be easy, but life is not meant to be easy. And these trials, they are meant to shape us. They are meant to bring out the best in us. It is only when life is difficult, that you see the true character of someone is only when life is difficult to you see the true amount of suffering is only when life is difficult do we discover within our own souls, skills and strengths and imagine we didn't even know what's there. So we need the child's of life to bring out the best deals. And we ask Allah subhana wa Taala to never test us with more that we can handle. We ask Allah Subhana Allah to allow us to always go closer to him, no matter what is
going on in our lives. And we ask Allah for ease. And we also ask ALLAH that at the times of a life when there is no ease to give us the Iman and the strength to get through it and to grow from it. We ask Allah Subhana Allah to accept from us our efforts and to make us on the righteous and to make us steadfast to make us on the people of China. I hope you found this beneficial
