			Salam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakato

00:00:04 --> 00:00:16
			Alhamdulillah wa salatu salam ala rasulillah. So today inshallah, I want to take a look at some of
the qualities of the righteous as mentioned in Surah Al Furqan.

00:00:17 --> 00:01:00
			In the final part of South Africa, Allah subhana wa tada speaks about the qualities of a bad man of
those who are the worshipers of the Most Merciful. And this is one of my favorite passages in the
Quran, which Allah subhanaw taala lists the qualities of the righteous people. And these are all
qualities that we all need to strive to have, we all need to strive to be from from these groups of
people. Right? The first type of person, Allah subhanaw, taala, mentions in this verse are people
who are humble, right, alidium shuna, early hornady, they walk about on earth with humility. So
number one, a quality of a person who is righteous, who is close to Allah subhanho wa Taala is that

00:01:00 --> 00:01:45
			that person is humble, they have put their ego under control. And this is very interesting, because
when you look at the world today and one of the main causes for people going astray for people
becoming atheist, for people adopting more hedonistic approach to life, very often it comes from
arrogance, right? Very often, it comes from a sense of ego, a sense of of that, you know, who are
you to tell me what to do? Or who are who is God to make room for me now maybe that statements like
this. And so naturally, if the cause of people becoming atheist is arrogance and ego, then what
brings a person close to Allah subhanaw taala is complete humility, accepting the fact that we are

00:01:45 --> 00:02:25
			nothing more than slaves of God, his property to do it as he wants. And to accept this and to be
humbled by this. This is the first step towards becoming close to Allah subhanho wa Taala. The
second quality mentioned is what is affordable Mujahid Luna kalu Salama that when ignorant people
try to start a fight with them, they respond with peaceful words. So what this means is that people
of righteousness, people who are close or less of a handle that they don't waste their time arguing
with people who just want to fight. Now, of course, if somebody genuinely wants to learn about
Islam, if somebody is genuinely interested in dialogue, they will make time for that person. But

00:02:25 --> 00:03:04
			especially nowadays, when you go online on social media, a lot of people are just looking for a
fight. You know, they're looking to to make you angry to upset you to line you up. And so they see
things about Islam and all the prophets all your Salaam, Allah subhana wa Taala, they will really
make you angry, and you will find it very often the people who respond to them are not the kind of
people who represent the deen best. Rather, you will find that the righteous people are not even on
social media. And if they are, they are not responding to these kinds of Twitter messages and these
kinds of inbox messages, because they know these are just the jehlen these are just the ignorant

00:03:04 --> 00:03:40
			people trying to start fights. If they do respond, they respond in a peaceful manner, which means
that the righteous people know when it's the right time to tackle a topic and when it is not. They
know a certain person just once a fight and they ignore that person. And you know, somebody else is
genuinely interested in learning about Islam and they engage with that person did not just jump into
every fight with every person out there. Because some people are just looking to waste our time. And
the righteous people, they don't have time to waste. I unlike the rest of us, they really don't have
time to waste. So they don't get involved with these kind of people.

00:03:42 --> 00:04:23
			The third quality mentioned of the righteous people is that they spend the night worshipping Allah
subhana wa keyamo. Right, and this really is the distinguishing factor between us and there between
the average Muslim like myself and yourself and the righteous Muslims is that they wake up in the
middle of the night to worship Allah subhanho wa Taala they spend the part of the night that we
enjoy sleeping the most expended in the worship of Allah Subhana Allah don't just worship Allah to
enjoy it. They get pure joy out of standing the night and gambling. This is the righteousness that
we all should strive towards. This is someone who is really a badass man. They have become complete

00:04:23 --> 00:04:28
			slaves of our man. they experience the mercy of our man when they submit to Him in this way.

00:04:30 --> 00:04:59
			The fourth quality mentioned that the righteous in this first set of verses is that they make dua
for protection from Johanna. So the righteous people do not feel entitled towards gender. They do
not feel that I am so pious. I'm definitely going to gender I'm such a good Muslim. I'm definitely
going to gender, brother. They are afraid of going to China. They are afraid that they are not good
enough. Again, this comes from the humility from the sincerity from them knowing that I'm a human
being I make mistakes. I'm not perfect. You

00:05:00 --> 00:05:11
			is only two allies mercy intergender. And so you'll find that the more righteous a person is, the
more afraid they are of Johanna. And the more they make to offer protection of for Johanna,
protection from the fight of Johanna.

00:05:12 --> 00:05:33
			The next quality of the righteous person is that they give a lot of charity, right. But they do not
go to extremes, which means they are not miserly, nor do they give so much charity that they have
nothing left to take care of their families. Rather they are wise in how they go about it. They make
sure that they are giving to others but at the same time, they make sure that their needs and the
needs of their family are fulfilled as well.

00:05:35 --> 00:06:12
			The last 100 mentions the righteous he mentions two different types of righteous people in the next
verse. The first type are those who in their entire lives, they never commit a major sin. And you
mentioned the three biggest sins, shirk, Zina and murder. So one type of righteous person is someone
who goes the entire life without ever falling into shirk, without ever murdering someone ever
fornicating or committing adultery. But there's another type of righteous person mentioned in this
verse. And that's a person who is committed a major sin, but has made Toba repented. Somebody who
may have committed Zina, they may have even murdered someone. They may have worshipped someone

00:06:12 --> 00:06:51
			besides Allah, but they have repented from this. They have repented from this and they have started
to do righteous deeds. Allah Subhana Allah says for them, Allah will replace the sins in the book of
deeds with righteous deeds. Right? So this verse gives us hope, it gives us hope that even if some
of us are not on the first category in the category of people who have never committed a major sin,
right, you can still be from the earlier you get still be close to Allah subhanho wa Taala if you
sincerely make Toba. So this is a verse that gives us a lot of hope. And then we also had mentioned
another quality of the righteous people is that they do not waste time with things that are not

00:06:51 --> 00:07:28
			beneficial. Right. And that day, remember Allah at all times, and the day make dua for the families,
right that they make up for their families. So these are some of the qualities of a brother of mine
as listening to the four corners I mentioned before. This is one of my favorite verses of the Quran
or Allah, my favorite passages in the Quran, I would write, I would highly advise that you go and
recite the entire passage in Arabic and read through the translation and reflect on it. It's really,
really powerful. It's a set of goals. That's what we should take it as that this set of verses about
the Bible of man, this should be our life goals, to hit each of these of these things at different

00:07:28 --> 00:07:37
			points in our life to become each of these type of people so that we can inshallah also be from
above, man. So that's all for today. judoka halen rocker Tawana and you

00:07:38 --> 00:07:41
			know Salam alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
