The speakers stress the importance of separating words in grammar and writing to avoid confusion and the power of words and their use as tools for understanding human behavior and reality. They emphasize the need for a focus on one's success and balancing reality, avoiding polarizing language, and creating a strong faith in oneself to avoid distraction from words and actions. The speakers also stress the importance of faith in one's self-reflection and sharing good news and experiences to encourage others to come on the path of their faith.

00:00:00 --> 00:00:03
			Okay, that sounds like I'm once
again, like I'm set out to have a

00:00:03 --> 00:00:05
			glare. But to get to again, just
like your left hand system, we're

00:00:05 --> 00:00:09
			gonna split it up. I don't even
have the level. So that should be

00:00:09 --> 00:00:12
			even more sorry and say that I
will know that or have you been on

00:00:12 --> 00:00:16
			civil law, it was seldom on any
recycling center Sleeman kathira.

00:00:17 --> 00:00:17
			So,

00:00:18 --> 00:00:22
			before I begin, I do have slides.
So I've shared that and we can

00:00:22 --> 00:00:25
			bring that up soon. But also, I
wanted to, I forgot to say

00:00:25 --> 00:00:29
			something in the previous session,
which is the way that we write and

00:00:29 --> 00:00:32
			actually say the word inshallah is
really important as well.

00:00:32 --> 00:00:38
			Sometimes if we write it as though
there's two words or, you know, as

00:00:38 --> 00:00:41
			one word actually can change the
meaning. And this was surprising

00:00:41 --> 00:00:45
			for me, because for many years,
like so many of us, I was writing

00:00:45 --> 00:00:49
			it like I SHA, Allah, right
apostrophe, Allah, and I didn't

00:00:49 --> 00:00:53
			even think twice about it, until
my teacher actually shumsa pointed

00:00:53 --> 00:00:57
			out that it was incorrect. And
this is again to, you know, humble

00:00:57 --> 00:01:01
			us, because sometimes we we don't
understand we if you haven't

00:01:01 --> 00:01:04
			studied, you know, Arabic grammar
or the meanings of things, you may

00:01:04 --> 00:01:07
			just do things because you see it
everywhere and repeated and it's

00:01:07 --> 00:01:11
			written, but we have to seek to
understand. So he explained to me

00:01:11 --> 00:01:15
			that when you write it as two
words, right, in sha Allah, it's

00:01:15 --> 00:01:18
			completely Storting. The meaning,
because it's actually three

00:01:18 --> 00:01:23
			separate words. And so that does
make an impact. So just a an

00:01:23 --> 00:01:27
			advice for all to remember that
when you look at the grammar,

00:01:27 --> 00:01:31
			right, the meaning is if God wills
or if you know, God willing,

00:01:31 --> 00:01:35
			right, so the first word in is
what they call chef do, which is a

00:01:35 --> 00:01:39
			conditional. And that's why it has
to be separated so that you're

00:01:39 --> 00:01:43
			reading it as three separate
words, right. And then share is an

00:01:43 --> 00:01:47
			active past tense verb, which is
willing, right? And then Allah, of

00:01:47 --> 00:01:50
			course, is the is modality, which
is the Exalted Name of Allah, and

00:01:50 --> 00:01:55
			he's the doer of the action. So
putting it in that formula in sha

00:01:55 --> 00:02:00
			Allah is the correct way. And
you'll find many people warning of

00:02:00 --> 00:02:04
			not writing it, whether it's in
English or Arabic, as two separate

00:02:04 --> 00:02:09
			words, because the meaning of in
Shatta Wale as one word, right,

00:02:09 --> 00:02:14
			when you say it is, as one word in
sha, Allah is like to create, so

00:02:14 --> 00:02:18
			it actually changes the entire
meaning of the phrase. So this is

00:02:18 --> 00:02:21
			just something that we want to be
mindful of when we're writing it

00:02:21 --> 00:02:26
			to separate the three words, in
English and in Arabic. So in sha

00:02:26 --> 00:02:30
			Allah, and there's actually a
really great paper, I saw

00:02:30 --> 00:02:33
			reference to this just because I
wanted to confirm certain things,

00:02:33 --> 00:02:37
			but this was, maybe I can put up
the it's called, if you just did a

00:02:38 --> 00:02:41
			quick search for, like the
importance of insha Allah or the

00:02:41 --> 00:02:43
			difference between inshallah and
and the other way that it's

00:02:43 --> 00:02:46
			usually written, you'll see
actually many people, I think

00:02:46 --> 00:02:51
			they've used the same source on
their blogs or their websites to

00:02:51 --> 00:02:55
			cite this important difference in
Arabic grammar. So it's just an

00:02:55 --> 00:02:57
			important lesson I learned I
benefited from and I hope that

00:02:57 --> 00:03:02
			benefits you. But Inshallah, can
you see my slides? I'm not sure.

00:03:02 --> 00:03:05
			But I my slides are up. So if we
can display them, that would be

00:03:05 --> 00:03:09
			wonderful. Okay, thank you.
Alhamdulillah. So here we are at

00:03:09 --> 00:03:12
			this idea. And again, I chose it
because it's a it's a word that we

00:03:12 --> 00:03:16
			say so often. And it's a short
phrase, but there's so much power

00:03:16 --> 00:03:20
			in this phrase, because it shapes
again, our reality and then our

00:03:20 --> 00:03:24
			experience of reality, right? So I
wanted to explore this idea a

00:03:24 --> 00:03:28
			little bit more specifically, this
concept of the power of words. And

00:03:28 --> 00:03:32
			so this is just to remind us, that
the power of words, one of my

00:03:32 --> 00:03:36
			favorite quotes, is from Chicago,
my teacher, and this is again,

00:03:36 --> 00:03:39
			you'll if you do a quote, search
for any of his quotes, you'll see

00:03:39 --> 00:03:42
			this come up, often, but there's
just so much meaning in this,

00:03:42 --> 00:03:46
			which, again, is in line with the
talk today. Don't ever diminish

00:03:46 --> 00:03:49
			the power of words because words
move hearts and then hearts move

00:03:50 --> 00:03:55
			limbs. So words even when they're
short phrases like Al Hamdulillah,

00:03:55 --> 00:03:58
			sublime, Subhan, Allah Allahu
Akbar, we may not feel the weight

00:03:58 --> 00:04:01
			of them, but they're how many
Hadith do we have actually,

00:04:01 --> 00:04:05
			literally tell us the weight of
these words, right? That you know,

00:04:05 --> 00:04:08
			when you say subhanallah for
example, that there will be trees

00:04:08 --> 00:04:13
			planted for you then right or that
if you say certain of cotton dua

00:04:13 --> 00:04:16
			that they that they will remove
all of your sins, even if they you

00:04:16 --> 00:04:20
			know are reaching the foam of the
ocean. I mean, words clearly have

00:04:20 --> 00:04:23
			power in our deen and even when
you're reflecting on different

00:04:23 --> 00:04:27
			verses, we're less proud of that
it says that had he revealed right

00:04:27 --> 00:04:30
			they'll put on his words upon the
mountains they would have

00:04:30 --> 00:04:34
			crumbled. So what is this telling
us that words have are either for

00:04:34 --> 00:04:38
			positive or negative? Right? But
we need to draw from obviously the

00:04:38 --> 00:04:42
			best of words which is the Calam
Allah that the words of the of

00:04:42 --> 00:04:46
			Allah soprano data. And so I
wanted to just share some some

00:04:46 --> 00:04:50
			more on this topic of the power of
words. And I don't know how many

00:04:50 --> 00:04:52
			of you are familiar with this.
This was pretty eye opening for me

00:04:52 --> 00:04:57
			and I shared it with my students
earlier too. That you know, our

00:04:57 --> 00:04:59
			world is shaped by obviously
words. I mean,

00:05:00 --> 00:05:03
			It's how we communicate as human
beings and what sets us apart from

00:05:03 --> 00:05:07
			other creation is that we are able
to, we have language, right? It's

00:05:07 --> 00:05:10
			a very big part of our creation
that differentiates us from the

00:05:10 --> 00:05:15
			animals and others. So the fact
that we've entered this world or

00:05:15 --> 00:05:18
			we are in this world, and actually
probably from the beginning of

00:05:18 --> 00:05:21
			time, words have been used as
tools, right as tools of either

00:05:22 --> 00:05:27
			discussion or, or, or positive
instruction and guidance. But

00:05:27 --> 00:05:31
			we're in a in an era right now,
where our politicians and people

00:05:31 --> 00:05:35
			in power have absolutely exploited
this concept called the illusion

00:05:35 --> 00:05:39
			of truth effect. And you'll see
this in many different areas where

00:05:40 --> 00:05:44
			people who researched the way that
human beings retain information

00:05:44 --> 00:05:49
			and also, the way that we are
realities are shaped, have come to

00:05:49 --> 00:05:54
			understand that if things are
repeated, often enough, regardless

00:05:54 --> 00:05:58
			of their truth, they will be
accepted by the individual. And

00:05:58 --> 00:06:03
			this is why propaganda exists. So
why a lot of us have been duped by

00:06:03 --> 00:06:06
			many people, unfortunately,
whether it's, again, politically

00:06:06 --> 00:06:10
			or otherwise, is because they know
that if they start to repeat

00:06:10 --> 00:06:14
			things over and over, regardless
of whether or not it's true, that

00:06:14 --> 00:06:19
			it will, we will believe it. And
that's just quite shocking. And I

00:06:19 --> 00:06:22
			mean, it shouldn't shock us, but I
think it should, in a way that we

00:06:22 --> 00:06:26
			understand that people there are
people that don't have the best of

00:06:26 --> 00:06:31
			intentions that will manipulate
words, in order to, to basically

00:06:31 --> 00:06:35
			you know, manipulate us and so we
need to be then on guard, but then

00:06:35 --> 00:06:39
			we also need to appreciate it for
me what the realization was, is

00:06:39 --> 00:06:42
			yes, obviously our deen teaches us
that we are this realm is the

00:06:42 --> 00:06:45
			realm of where evil occurs where
people disappoint you or people

00:06:45 --> 00:06:49
			hurt you. And certainly where
there are those people that that

00:06:49 --> 00:06:55
			will use whatever tricks and means
that they can to hurt us. But I

00:06:55 --> 00:07:00
			think what also made me appreciate
is the fact that our Dean places

00:07:00 --> 00:07:05
			such a high priority on language
and knowledge and really deriving

00:07:05 --> 00:07:11
			or meaning from things right that
we we don't look at these as, you

00:07:11 --> 00:07:16
			know, unimportant or, or we they
have immense weight for us. And

00:07:16 --> 00:07:20
			when I think about, you know how,
again, the words that we expose

00:07:20 --> 00:07:23
			ourselves to, I don't know how
many of you are familiar with this

00:07:23 --> 00:07:28
			Japanese? Doctor, I think his name
is Dr. Matsuo. But he's done a

00:07:28 --> 00:07:32
			couple of really awesome
experiments. One, he did it on

00:07:32 --> 00:07:38
			water, where he, you would look at
the way that water crystallizes,

00:07:38 --> 00:07:43
			based on the words that are
expressed upon that water, right.

00:07:43 --> 00:07:47
			So he had different cups, and he
would arrange them and then upon

00:07:47 --> 00:07:52
			each cup, he would say certain
words, and he was trying to just

00:07:52 --> 00:07:56
			see basically does is this
possible can words spoken actually

00:07:56 --> 00:08:01
			have an effect on water. And in
fact, he found looking at the

00:08:01 --> 00:08:04
			microscopic pictures, and there's
YouTube videos of this experiment

00:08:04 --> 00:08:08
			everywhere. But he found that when
positive words were being spoken

00:08:08 --> 00:08:11
			upon the water, the words were
crystallizing in these really

00:08:11 --> 00:08:17
			beautiful ways, right. Whereas
with negative words, they were

00:08:17 --> 00:08:20
			they didn't they have distorted
the word that the crystallization

00:08:20 --> 00:08:23
			of the water was just coming out,
misshapen and not beautiful. And

00:08:23 --> 00:08:26
			so that was one experiment. And
then he did another experiment

00:08:26 --> 00:08:32
			with rice, where he took two mason
jars of rice cooked rice. And upon

00:08:32 --> 00:08:37
			one of them, he wrote, you know, I
think he wrote you full. And then

00:08:37 --> 00:08:40
			the other one, it was something
positive, thank you, or something

00:08:40 --> 00:08:45
			just more positive. And in both
the outcome was that after 30 days

00:08:45 --> 00:08:49
			of having students speak these
words upon these mason jars of

00:08:49 --> 00:08:53
			rice, that the one that was spoken
to, you know, with the with the

00:08:53 --> 00:08:58
			harsh words, you fool, turned it
in, molded, it became this black

00:08:58 --> 00:09:01
			gelatinous, slimy mess, with mold,
and then the other one was

00:09:01 --> 00:09:05
			preserved and fluffy, just like it
was the day it was cooked. So he

00:09:05 --> 00:09:10
			was showing that yes, words
actually do impact us and, and so,

00:09:10 --> 00:09:13
			you know, the fact that, you know,
these, these experiments exists,

00:09:13 --> 00:09:17
			and also just that we see the
impact in our own the way that we

00:09:17 --> 00:09:19
			communicate with one another
right? If someone insults you,

00:09:19 --> 00:09:22
			obviously, it's going to hurt you.
It's going to, it's going to maybe

00:09:22 --> 00:09:25
			ruin your entire day, how many of
us have been impacted because

00:09:25 --> 00:09:28
			someone said a single thing
negatively to us or the opposite,

00:09:29 --> 00:09:33
			that a positive word can
completely not just affect our

00:09:33 --> 00:09:37
			mood, but actually save our life.
You know, there's been so many

00:09:37 --> 00:09:41
			stories, there's that one, I
think, Kevin has it James I can't

00:09:41 --> 00:09:44
			remember his last name, but he was
he's now very famous speaker and

00:09:44 --> 00:09:49
			he was suicidal at one point and
he his challenge for the day that

00:09:49 --> 00:09:52
			he decided to end his life was
that if he was you know, he was in

00:09:52 --> 00:09:55
			San Francisco and he was taking
the bus and he was interacting

00:09:55 --> 00:09:58
			with different strangers. And he
said if any one person stopped me

00:09:58 --> 00:10:00
			to actually I

00:10:00 --> 00:10:03
			asked me how I am and check on me
I won't take my own life, I won't

00:10:03 --> 00:10:06
			do it that was sort of like the
challenge for himself. So he goes

00:10:06 --> 00:10:13
			about the day, not a single person
asked him, and he committed to

00:10:13 --> 00:10:16
			what he was doing, he actually
jumped from the Golden Gate

00:10:16 --> 00:10:19
			Bridge, which is, you know, the
bridge that they call it a suicide

00:10:19 --> 00:10:24
			bridge, all the villa, he jumps
and he survived by sheer again,

00:10:24 --> 00:10:27
			the will of Allah subhanaw taala.
He survived a fall that note very

00:10:27 --> 00:10:31
			few people have ever survived,
it's that fall a bit of a fall.

00:10:31 --> 00:10:35
			And how did he survive Subhanallah
his entire, all of his bones were

00:10:35 --> 00:10:39
			pretty much fractured or broken.
But Allah sent these seals or sea

00:10:39 --> 00:10:44
			lions, I think, to him, to rescue
him literally lift his body and

00:10:44 --> 00:10:47
			bring him to Safe Harbor and
passage. And then he survived. And

00:10:47 --> 00:10:51
			he promised, He said that when he
jumped, that he realized his

00:10:51 --> 00:10:54
			mistake, and he basically in it in
that moment, it's all happening so

00:10:54 --> 00:10:58
			rapidly, but he promised that if
he survived that fall, that he

00:10:58 --> 00:11:01
			would spend the rest of his life
saving people from, you know,

00:11:01 --> 00:11:04
			suicide and depression and what
have you. And he's gone on to do

00:11:04 --> 00:11:08
			that. So we've had a lot. So words
have immense power. And I think,

00:11:08 --> 00:11:13
			when we hear these stories, right
from from, you know, such a, you

00:11:13 --> 00:11:16
			know, examples like that, or this
these experiments, we have to

00:11:16 --> 00:11:19
			truly appreciate that they do, in
fact, shape our perspective. And

00:11:19 --> 00:11:22
			so, you know, the way that we look
at the world, the lens with which

00:11:22 --> 00:11:27
			we look at the world, what are
those that we are either taking in

00:11:27 --> 00:11:31
			and absorbing, and that is shaping
our worldview, or they were

00:11:31 --> 00:11:33
			negative because, you know, I like
to use this analogy, the

00:11:33 --> 00:11:36
			kaleidoscope. If you look at the
picture on the left, that's a

00:11:36 --> 00:11:40
			kaleidoscope, but it's you know,
it's a very, it's not a pleasant,

00:11:40 --> 00:11:43
			the most pleasant, you know, view,
you look through that it's kind of

00:11:43 --> 00:11:46
			disjointed, it doesn't look very
pleasant, it's black and white. So

00:11:46 --> 00:11:50
			there's not much beauty or color
to it. It's still a view, you

00:11:50 --> 00:11:53
			know, and that can be your
worldview, or the way that you

00:11:54 --> 00:11:57
			communicate, it can be that black
and white kind of matter of fact,

00:11:57 --> 00:12:01
			way of being, or it can be more
beautiful and more colorful, which

00:12:01 --> 00:12:04
			is the image on the right, and
this will then shape your reality

00:12:04 --> 00:12:08
			right and this is also confirmed
for us in the Hadith. Carlos

00:12:08 --> 00:12:12
			Carlos says, I'm the Veni Abdi V,
I am in the opinion of my servant.

00:12:12 --> 00:12:15
			So if we have the best opinion of
all US Prophet, I will use the

00:12:15 --> 00:12:20
			most positive words, in attributes
to understand him through or to

00:12:20 --> 00:12:24
			speak of him, we praise Him, we
call upon Him, then our reality

00:12:24 --> 00:12:28
			will be shaped by those words. So
in fact, the words the DUA is the

00:12:28 --> 00:12:32
			weapon of the believer. All of
this is signaling to us to not

00:12:32 --> 00:12:36
			minimize or diminish words, but to
actually see their power and hear

00:12:36 --> 00:12:39
			let's find those also directing us
to make sure that we have our

00:12:39 --> 00:12:43
			priorities set or right, right,
because the perspective you have

00:12:43 --> 00:12:47
			will shape your reality seek the
home of the Hereafter. Of course,

00:12:47 --> 00:12:52
			always father has the most perfect
board. So he is directors that we

00:12:52 --> 00:12:57
			need to shift our focus away from
this lowly place. Because this is

00:12:57 --> 00:13:02
			a place where again, pain and
hardship and tribulation exists,

00:13:02 --> 00:13:07
			suffering exists, but to seek our
final abode in the hereafter. So

00:13:07 --> 00:13:11
			he's, he's directing us through
words, he's, he's, you know, he's

00:13:11 --> 00:13:15
			reminding us to, to use, you know,
the power of language to really

00:13:15 --> 00:13:18
			derive meaning, because that'll
shape again, our perspective, and

00:13:18 --> 00:13:21
			then our reality. So if you're an
individual, and you understand

00:13:21 --> 00:13:24
			truly, that this place is not your
file, a vote that you are not

00:13:24 --> 00:13:27
			going to last year, but it is a
place of suffering, and you start

00:13:27 --> 00:13:32
			to really understand these words,
then you work toward the alpha,

00:13:32 --> 00:13:35
			right, which is what the quote
that we read at the beginning was

00:13:35 --> 00:13:39
			or two that don't diminish the
power of words, because the words

00:13:39 --> 00:13:42
			are what moves the heart and the
hearts move the lens. So once you

00:13:42 --> 00:13:45
			have that right accurate on your
team, then you're going to be

00:13:45 --> 00:13:51
			infused with the faith and the
taqwa that then directs your

00:13:51 --> 00:13:54
			actions and you start to actually
work toward the right goal, which

00:13:54 --> 00:13:58
			is not the dunya it's the
hereafter, right? But at the same

00:13:58 --> 00:14:00
			time, he's reminding us don't
forget your share of the world. So

00:14:00 --> 00:14:04
			have the right perspective, a
healthy, balanced perspective. And

00:14:04 --> 00:14:09
			this is again, reminding us we are
not an OMA of dreams, we're an OMA

00:14:09 --> 00:14:12
			of balance so in everything we do
we need to seek the balance,

00:14:12 --> 00:14:17
			right? We're supposed to be that
middle nation that we're people

00:14:17 --> 00:14:20
			who are falling into the extremes
can look to and say hey, they're

00:14:20 --> 00:14:24
			doing something right. But when we
fall into extremes, when we make

00:14:24 --> 00:14:28
			those extreme claims or extreme
statements in either direction,

00:14:28 --> 00:14:32
			some people go you know, a little
too far to the right or to the to

00:14:32 --> 00:14:34
			the left, and I'm not speaking
politically but that could apply.

00:14:34 --> 00:14:38
			But just in general, when we're in
extremes in our perspectives or in

00:14:38 --> 00:14:41
			extremes in the way that we speak
in the in the extremes of the way

00:14:41 --> 00:14:46
			that we operate. It is it's um,
it's unwise, and it's certainly

00:14:46 --> 00:14:49
			harmful to ourselves and also to
others. So, we have to look again

00:14:49 --> 00:14:53
			to the words that Allah subhanaw
that is using to direct us and he

00:14:53 --> 00:14:58
			tells us repeatedly be a people of
balance right. And and what does

00:14:58 --> 00:14:59
			that mean again, avoid the

00:15:00 --> 00:15:04
			extremes Don't be polarized so
don't use polarizing language and

00:15:04 --> 00:15:07
			and in a very practical
application of this in your

00:15:07 --> 00:15:10
			relationships you know, being in
all are nonsense if you're

00:15:10 --> 00:15:14
			speaking in ultimatums, if you're
speaking in language that is so

00:15:14 --> 00:15:18
			strong that it's, it's, you know,
pushes people away from you then

00:15:18 --> 00:15:22
			learned this is not our way that
is not appropriate for a believer

00:15:22 --> 00:15:27
			to make claims or to make threats.
And to use harsh to use language

00:15:27 --> 00:15:31
			again in that weaponized way. Just
because you want certain outcomes.

00:15:31 --> 00:15:35
			Rather practice, what we are
taught in the full character of

00:15:35 --> 00:15:38
			our beloved ally said, um, and
what we're being directed to

00:15:38 --> 00:15:41
			Bilaspur that our Creator, which
is be balanced, remember, you

00:15:41 --> 00:15:46
			don't hold power, so stop you know
deluding yourself. Power is with

00:15:46 --> 00:15:50
			Allah subhana wa Tada have
humility, seek true justice

00:15:50 --> 00:15:53
			through him, don't serve just
yourself. So all of this would be

00:15:53 --> 00:15:57
			encompassed in a very balanced and
healthy worldview. But that

00:15:57 --> 00:16:01
			worldview is shaped by again, the
language that we use, and that we

00:16:01 --> 00:16:05
			understand and the reasoning that
we do from that language. And

00:16:05 --> 00:16:08
			again, the problem was, it reminds
us to follow the straight path

00:16:08 --> 00:16:11
			don't follow other paths, there's
going to be a lot of messages. And

00:16:11 --> 00:16:14
			this is the era of information.
There are a lot of words being

00:16:14 --> 00:16:18
			articulated and spread and shared.
We get bombarded with articles and

00:16:18 --> 00:16:22
			emails, text messages, and
WhatsApp groups and all of this

00:16:22 --> 00:16:26
			information flooding us
constantly. But we have to be

00:16:26 --> 00:16:30
			vigilant to know who is really
telling us the truth, whose words

00:16:30 --> 00:16:35
			are distorted and deceptive and
manipulative, and whose words are

00:16:35 --> 00:16:39
			not. And there's no comparison, or
a loss of half of the promises in

00:16:39 --> 00:16:42
			every single thing our deen
teaches us is for our betterment

00:16:42 --> 00:16:47
			every single thing, what we do and
what we don't do, and whereas

00:16:47 --> 00:16:51
			nobody else on the planet can,
can, can make that claim nobody,

00:16:51 --> 00:16:54
			because there's always ulterior
motives human beings are, we're

00:16:54 --> 00:16:59
			flawed. So we would clearly, you
know, we can use language to

00:16:59 --> 00:17:03
			manipulate for other than good,
and it happens all the time. So if

00:17:03 --> 00:17:07
			you become that person whose
reality is very crystal clear,

00:17:07 --> 00:17:10
			which is I'm only I'm going to put
my trust in taka and Allah and the

00:17:10 --> 00:17:13
			Prophet says, I'm going to follow
what I'm taught to follow. And I'm

00:17:13 --> 00:17:18
			not going to look at any other
messages competing in any way with

00:17:18 --> 00:17:22
			my Lord, then clearly your
perspective is healthy. And that

00:17:22 --> 00:17:25
			is going to again, determine your
outcome by an Andy then the RTB,

00:17:26 --> 00:17:29
			Allah will confirm for you that
that faith that you haven't Him,

00:17:29 --> 00:17:33
			He will show you and he'll make
this moral much horrible, will

00:17:33 --> 00:17:37
			just simply don't have the
capacity to deal with the dunya.

00:17:37 --> 00:17:42
			Because they are given false
understanding of what the world is

00:17:42 --> 00:17:45
			false promises, false
expectations, entitlement, this is

00:17:45 --> 00:17:49
			not the place to exact justice, we
shouldn't seek justice in this

00:17:49 --> 00:17:52
			world, because it's not the place
for justice, justice will come

00:17:52 --> 00:17:55
			with what we seek from this world
as a result of our last panel

00:17:55 --> 00:17:59
			data. And that may require us to
be patient, instead of seeking to

00:17:59 --> 00:18:05
			force things, it may require us to
just, again, to differ and to to

00:18:05 --> 00:18:08
			wait for Allah subhanaw taala to
show us the way instead of forcing

00:18:08 --> 00:18:13
			our own way, but that is, again,
all shaped by whether or not we're

00:18:13 --> 00:18:16
			taking in the right understanding
and the right message. And there's

00:18:16 --> 00:18:21
			just too many pathways of
information. And so this is why

00:18:21 --> 00:18:25
			words matter. And why even as
we've said something as simple as

00:18:25 --> 00:18:29
			insha, Allah should not be
underscored is very powerful. And

00:18:29 --> 00:18:33
			our deen is has a tremendous, I
mean, it's just an endless

00:18:33 --> 00:18:38
			treasure trove of depth that we
have to explore. So more to say,

00:18:38 --> 00:18:42
			but let's continue. And this is
just, you know, some perspective

00:18:42 --> 00:18:45
			on on that balance that we were
speaking of, because it's a harsh

00:18:45 --> 00:18:49
			place. So we also have to, you
know, console ourselves that we're

00:18:49 --> 00:18:53
			not always going to get it right,
you know, as much as we try and we

00:18:53 --> 00:18:55
			should try, we're not always gonna
get it right. So here's the

00:18:55 --> 00:18:58
			beautiful Hadith where one of the
Sahaba came to the Prophet lies to

00:18:58 --> 00:19:01
			them. And he just basically was
giving the truth, real talk, like,

00:19:02 --> 00:19:04
			when we're in your presence, and
we're reminded of all these

00:19:04 --> 00:19:07
			things, everything seems to be
fine where, or our faith is

00:19:07 --> 00:19:11
			intact, and we're strong. But then
as soon as we go away from you,

00:19:11 --> 00:19:15
			and we go back to the world, you
know, which is our families and

00:19:15 --> 00:19:18
			everything else, the business and
all the things that we get wrapped

00:19:18 --> 00:19:22
			up in, then we are forgetful and
the prophesy said I'm beautifully

00:19:22 --> 00:19:25
			using words. So it's all the
hearts and this is why words are

00:19:25 --> 00:19:28
			so important. For all of us to
think of mind we're not expected

00:19:28 --> 00:19:32
			to be perfect, we're expected to
strive toward perfection, but not

00:19:32 --> 00:19:35
			to be perfect, right? But he tells
us He tells us to have a year by

00:19:35 --> 00:19:39
			him in whose hand is my soul, if
your state of mind remains the

00:19:39 --> 00:19:42
			same as it is in my presence, and
you are always occupied with the

00:19:42 --> 00:19:45
			remembrance of Allah, then the
angels will shake your hands and

00:19:45 --> 00:19:49
			your beds and roads Oh hands on a
rather time rather time should be

00:19:49 --> 00:19:52
			devoted to this and time should be
devoted to that. So this is again

00:19:52 --> 00:19:57
			reminding us of the balance that
yes, we have those lofty goals and

00:19:57 --> 00:20:00
			aspirations but at the same time,
we need to be realistic

00:20:00 --> 00:20:03
			Stick and find the balance and not
to, you know, go into the

00:20:03 --> 00:20:07
			extremes, which is what again many
of us fall into. And that's why we

00:20:07 --> 00:20:11
			are in the states that we're in
where we're not planning properly,

00:20:11 --> 00:20:13
			we're not thinking about these
things. So this is the power of

00:20:13 --> 00:20:15
			planning. So I'm just going to try
to zip through the rest of this,

00:20:16 --> 00:20:19
			because it does, I think,
practical perspective, just to

00:20:19 --> 00:20:25
			give us all some advice on how can
we plan to use words and to help

00:20:25 --> 00:20:29
			us shape our perspective and into
success? Because then what were we

00:20:29 --> 00:20:33
			should all strive for? Right? We
want success. So emotional

00:20:33 --> 00:20:37
			regulation, you know, words, as I
mentioned before, are so powerful,

00:20:37 --> 00:20:39
			and that they can impact us, they
can impact us, whether it's from

00:20:39 --> 00:20:43
			other people from ourselves, the
voices, the voice in our head,

00:20:43 --> 00:20:47
			that is, which is so important,
excuse me to pay attention to the

00:20:47 --> 00:20:50
			stream of consciousness, what are
the words that are being heated in

00:20:50 --> 00:20:54
			your mind? And what is you know,
we have the concept of the four

00:20:54 --> 00:20:57
			hot that which are the four
sources of thoughts or

00:20:57 --> 00:21:03
			inspiration, right? So what is
what is making the up the bulk of

00:21:03 --> 00:21:06
			the thoughts that are being
repeated in your mind? Is it the

00:21:06 --> 00:21:09
			words of Allah subhanaw? taala? Is
it the reminders of Allah subhanaw

00:21:09 --> 00:21:13
			taala, the beautiful reminders of
the prophesy so them that are you

00:21:13 --> 00:21:16
			know, that you are, whether you
have, you know, tools on your

00:21:16 --> 00:21:20
			phone, or that you read every day,
that you're very diligent and

00:21:20 --> 00:21:23
			you're very intentional to
constantly fill your cup to fill

00:21:23 --> 00:21:27
			your vessel with really positive
words, are you doing that? Or is

00:21:27 --> 00:21:30
			it you know, that you're reading
nonsense and garbage and, you

00:21:30 --> 00:21:34
			know, social media or tabloid
nonsense, or you're just involved

00:21:34 --> 00:21:37
			in these conversations with
individuals who might not, you

00:21:37 --> 00:21:39
			know, have the best intentions.
And we have to keep in mind,

00:21:40 --> 00:21:43
			right, that the profit lesson
reminds us that, that the bulk of

00:21:43 --> 00:21:47
			the sins of the son of Adam come
from the tongue, that it's our

00:21:47 --> 00:21:51
			tongue that gets in the most
trouble. So sometimes we are

00:21:52 --> 00:21:55
			trends, having these transactions
every single day with so many

00:21:55 --> 00:21:58
			people, whether it's family,
friends, our children, our

00:21:58 --> 00:22:01
			friends, our neighbors, strangers
on the internet, and we're not

00:22:01 --> 00:22:06
			even thinking about, you know, how
is that shaping my mind? And then

00:22:06 --> 00:22:10
			how is that impacting me. So
emotional regulation is really

00:22:10 --> 00:22:13
			important. But again, it requires
us to pay attention to that self

00:22:13 --> 00:22:17
			awareness. Because if we're not
aware of all of these things that

00:22:17 --> 00:22:20
			we've talked about, then it's
going to affect our state. And the

00:22:20 --> 00:22:23
			state that many of us find
ourselves in, in these depressive

00:22:23 --> 00:22:27
			states. And these hopeless states
are coming from a lack of

00:22:27 --> 00:22:32
			awareness or vigilance around
these things of what is what am I

00:22:32 --> 00:22:35
			consuming? What is coming in to
this vessel of my heart and

00:22:35 --> 00:22:38
			shaping my perspective? In my
mind? What are those words? Are

00:22:38 --> 00:22:41
			they damaging or otherwise? So,
you know, what is emotional

00:22:41 --> 00:22:45
			regulation? It is to it, there's
three components to it. It's

00:22:45 --> 00:22:49
			initiating actions that are
triggered by emotions, inhibiting

00:22:49 --> 00:22:52
			actions triggered by emotions,
modulating responses. So there's

00:22:52 --> 00:22:55
			three ways of emotionally
regulating yourself, right? That

00:22:55 --> 00:22:58
			you are very mindful of what's
triggering you, right? And you're

00:22:58 --> 00:23:02
			also mindful to not let those
triggers happen, and then to

00:23:02 --> 00:23:06
			basically you know, manage those
those those reactions. And so how

00:23:06 --> 00:23:09
			do we do that? Well, we got to,
first of all, again, this is where

00:23:09 --> 00:23:14
			we pay attention to reality.
Because if your perspective is

00:23:14 --> 00:23:18
			right, then you know, that there
are certain things that we are

00:23:18 --> 00:23:21
			given, there's certain emotions
that we feel, and that that are

00:23:21 --> 00:23:25
			part and parcel of being a human
being. And you have to know how to

00:23:25 --> 00:23:28
			regulate those emotions in a time
and place for everything, right,

00:23:28 --> 00:23:32
			there's emotions have utility to
them. And so just realizing, yes,

00:23:32 --> 00:23:35
			this world is a place of anxiety.
That's why the prophets have

00:23:35 --> 00:23:38
			sought protection for badness and
anxiety, but we have to be

00:23:38 --> 00:23:41
			resilient. So there's all these
emotions that we should be very

00:23:41 --> 00:23:45
			well versed in and literate in,
but also understand that there are

00:23:45 --> 00:23:48
			things that we can control right,
because maybe those emotions are

00:23:48 --> 00:23:51
			being triggered by events by
people, but there are certain

00:23:51 --> 00:23:56
			things that we can control and
what are they we can control our

00:23:56 --> 00:24:00
			knifes our thoughts, right, our
words, again, going back to the

00:24:00 --> 00:24:04
			importance of the power of words,
our beliefs, our prayers, I mean,

00:24:04 --> 00:24:07
			I was speaking to my students
earlier about this whole topic and

00:24:07 --> 00:24:11
			I said to cut if if we just really
understood the wisdom of Allah

00:24:11 --> 00:24:16
			subhanaw taala giving us the five
daily prayers spreading them out,

00:24:16 --> 00:24:20
			and then the repetition right
because as we talked about, that,

00:24:21 --> 00:24:24
			you know, that this illusion of
you know of

00:24:25 --> 00:24:27
			forgot the reference but but the
you know, what I mentioned

00:24:27 --> 00:24:32
			earlier, that that truth right can
be that if you repeat something

00:24:32 --> 00:24:36
			often enough, it'll solidify your
your truth, right, what your

00:24:36 --> 00:24:40
			meaning is, so just think of the
wisdom that every single day we

00:24:40 --> 00:24:46
			are asked to repeat over and over
again, there's, and there's a

00:24:46 --> 00:24:48
			certain I mean, there's it's
beautiful because obviously it's

00:24:48 --> 00:24:51
			the perfect words of Allah
subhanaw taala. But I was thinking

00:24:51 --> 00:24:53
			that it would be so enging

00:24:54 --> 00:24:59
			required us to pray, but each
prayer had to be unique, right?

00:25:00 --> 00:25:04
			And I was thinking, what a gift
that He's given us the action of

00:25:04 --> 00:25:06
			prayer, right? Because there's a
great benefit in repetition,

00:25:06 --> 00:25:10
			right? That we are infusing our
bodies, our souls with all that

00:25:10 --> 00:25:13
			positive energy. Because these are
the perfect words of Allah, we

00:25:13 --> 00:25:16
			know that the words of Allah or
Shiva, so he's giving us that

00:25:16 --> 00:25:19
			every single day. It's like a
dosage, right medicine that we are

00:25:19 --> 00:25:21
			taking, where you don't even
realize the effects of it, but

00:25:21 --> 00:25:24
			they are affecting us, they're
benefiting us. But then he also

00:25:24 --> 00:25:29
			made it easy to do, because once
you do something often enough, it

00:25:29 --> 00:25:33
			just becomes much more easier. But
if it was, the opposite was the

00:25:33 --> 00:25:36
			case, right? Just imagine if we
had to stand up for prayer, every

00:25:36 --> 00:25:39
			five prayers, but we had to come
up with original statements or

00:25:39 --> 00:25:42
			original prayers, and each prayer
was different from the other, it

00:25:42 --> 00:25:46
			would be very difficult to do. So
there's an immense in the

00:25:46 --> 00:25:50
			repetition in and of itself, you
know, just by virtue of repeating

00:25:50 --> 00:25:53
			these perfect words of Allah
subhanaw taala. But it also is

00:25:53 --> 00:25:57
			very empowering. Because, again,
if you, you know, go back to that

00:25:57 --> 00:26:01
			those experiments that we talked
about, to infuse your spirit, your

00:26:01 --> 00:26:06
			body or soul, your mind, with,
with words that are positive, has

00:26:06 --> 00:26:09
			an effect, right? But we take it
up a notch, this isn't just

00:26:09 --> 00:26:13
			positive, these are perfect words.
Right? Which is why we ask, you

00:26:13 --> 00:26:17
			know, ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada, why
we're also you know, the some of

00:26:17 --> 00:26:21
			the doors that we say, we're
always reminded that Allah spa,

00:26:21 --> 00:26:25
			those words are the most perfect
words or we ask Allah protection

00:26:25 --> 00:26:28
			from the evil in his creation from
his most perfect words. So he's

00:26:28 --> 00:26:34
			giving us the best of words to, to
help us cope with this dunya it's

00:26:34 --> 00:26:37
			a it's a very difficult place. But
these are the things that if we

00:26:37 --> 00:26:41
			really tapped into their power,
then we wouldn't just stand up for

00:26:41 --> 00:26:44
			prayer, robotically, not thinking
about what we're doing, we would

00:26:44 --> 00:26:50
			see the immense drama, the immense
wisdom, the immense just joy of,

00:26:51 --> 00:26:54
			of being able to call on our Lord
with his most perfect words,

00:26:54 --> 00:26:58
			because we're, of course, we're
limited, we don't have the ability

00:26:58 --> 00:27:01
			to do that. And then to benefit
have that residual benefit

00:27:01 --> 00:27:04
			throughout the day, every single
day for the rest of our lives.

00:27:04 --> 00:27:07
			While the rest of the world you
know, just think of the fragility

00:27:07 --> 00:27:11
			think of the way that our world
is, you know, that we the things

00:27:11 --> 00:27:13
			that are the events that we see
emerging almost every single day.

00:27:14 --> 00:27:17
			I haven't I don't think I've gone
a day where I haven't seen a news

00:27:17 --> 00:27:23
			story. That is just more and more
evidence of how destructive life

00:27:23 --> 00:27:26
			was that is right. Because every
day something will come out where

00:27:26 --> 00:27:30
			it's like, wow, these people are
this individual. Literally,

00:27:30 --> 00:27:32
			they're missing god, they're
missing the all of this. They're

00:27:32 --> 00:27:36
			missing the power of knowing who
Allah subhanaw taala is, you know,

00:27:36 --> 00:27:39
			I was telling my students about,
about something that I saw the

00:27:39 --> 00:27:42
			other day yesterday or the day
before, of his high school

00:27:42 --> 00:27:45
			students who came together just to
have like this kind of like a

00:27:45 --> 00:27:48
			dance off. I think it was between
two different cheerleading squads,

00:27:48 --> 00:27:51
			and everything seemed to be fine.
The parents are recording from the

00:27:51 --> 00:27:54
			stands, and everything seems fine.
And all of a sudden it breaks out

00:27:54 --> 00:27:58
			into this horrible Brawl where
these people are everybody's just

00:27:58 --> 00:28:02
			sick of dogpile of fighting. And
you're like, what happened because

00:28:02 --> 00:28:06
			someone got triggered. Maybe
someone said something, someone

00:28:06 --> 00:28:09
			did something. But that triggering
effect that emotional control we

00:28:09 --> 00:28:14
			give to other people, you know,
comes from this lacking lacking

00:28:14 --> 00:28:18
			things that build your resilience
and build your fortification that

00:28:18 --> 00:28:21
			help you to not be so affected by
other people to see ignorance for

00:28:21 --> 00:28:26
			what it is to not, you know, take
on other people's, you know,

00:28:26 --> 00:28:29
			worldviews or other people's
impressions or other people's

00:28:29 --> 00:28:32
			whatever estimations of you as
though that they're true. It this

00:28:32 --> 00:28:36
			is what Islam gives us. This is
what you know why our deen is such

00:28:36 --> 00:28:38
			a gift. And we have to really
appreciate it. But all these

00:28:38 --> 00:28:41
			things always find that it's
telling us He's given us the power

00:28:41 --> 00:28:44
			to control when we give you know,
and we give from our whether it's

00:28:44 --> 00:28:48
			our wealth or our time, or even
good counsel. So how long were

00:28:48 --> 00:28:52
			rewarded, you give a compliment to
someone Allah doesn't shortchange

00:28:52 --> 00:28:56
			you. Those words are waiting to
illustrate that Adina NSCI SEIU,

00:28:56 --> 00:28:58
			you remove the burden of another
muscle, it's one of the greatest

00:28:58 --> 00:29:01
			things you can do to remove the
burdens and how do you do that

00:29:01 --> 00:29:06
			with a smile or just beautiful
kind words? encouraging words. So

00:29:06 --> 00:29:09
			when we support each other, all of
these things are things that are

00:29:09 --> 00:29:12
			quite empowering potations, or
reactions, these are things that

00:29:12 --> 00:29:15
			we can control. And then our
dollars, obviously, you know, I

00:29:15 --> 00:29:18
			mentioned earlier was the weapon
of the believer, many of us are in

00:29:18 --> 00:29:22
			the States, we're in everything
into the pot. That's simple as it

00:29:22 --> 00:29:25
			is, we're not tapping into the
power of the law. I can't tell you

00:29:25 --> 00:29:29
			how many people I have been, you
know, who have approached me with

00:29:29 --> 00:29:32
			problems in their life real
serious problems, whether it's

00:29:32 --> 00:29:38
			their marriages or their children,
financially, and many of them upon

00:29:38 --> 00:29:41
			further investigation. I'll ask
them all you know, how many you

00:29:41 --> 00:29:43
			know, how are you doing? Guys? Are
you waking up? Are you doing the

00:29:43 --> 00:29:47
			hygiene? Are you praying? Are you
doing these things? And sometimes

00:29:47 --> 00:29:51
			they're like, No, I apparently can
pray. I'm not really good at my

00:29:51 --> 00:29:53
			prayers and they'll make a lot of
excuses for why they're not

00:29:54 --> 00:29:57
			praying and I'm like, Well, you
need this is again where the

00:29:57 --> 00:30:00
			perspective is off. If you believe
that

00:30:00 --> 00:30:02
			Your circumstances are going to
change miraculously overnight,

00:30:02 --> 00:30:05
			just because you're seeking other
means to fix your problems. And

00:30:05 --> 00:30:11
			you're not going to do directly to
the source of all goodness, right

00:30:11 --> 00:30:16
			and actually asking petitioning
your creator for change, then

00:30:16 --> 00:30:20
			you're missing, you're missing,
you know, the point of your

00:30:20 --> 00:30:24
			existence. So we are empowered
with words and doors are at the

00:30:24 --> 00:30:29
			top of what we need to really be
using more. And, you know, and to

00:30:29 --> 00:30:33
			remember, you know, the prophesy
said and said, he said, not

00:30:33 --> 00:30:37
			harmful, I know material that I
feel the pain, which is, I fear,

00:30:37 --> 00:30:42
			nothing for my OMA except for the
weakness of certainty, right, that

00:30:42 --> 00:30:47
			we would be weak, in our opinion
with Allah, that we would actually

00:30:47 --> 00:30:51
			start to question whether or not
certain things can happen, because

00:30:51 --> 00:30:54
			there's a weakness of our
certainty in God. And that is

00:30:54 --> 00:30:57
			really unfortunately, what's
happened. And why is it happened

00:30:57 --> 00:31:01
			is because there's other competing
ideas, and we've actually given

00:31:01 --> 00:31:04
			those competing ideas Wait, right,
and which is so tragic, if you

00:31:04 --> 00:31:07
			think about it, the Creator of the
heavens, and everything in

00:31:07 --> 00:31:13
			creation, is is telling us that
the best way to get what you want

00:31:13 --> 00:31:19
			is to seek and we don't seek him,
but we seek people, or we seek

00:31:19 --> 00:31:22
			other needs, or we seek our own
selves, some of us are too

00:31:22 --> 00:31:24
			overconfident in our own
abilities. And we don't turn to

00:31:24 --> 00:31:27
			the only one who could change our
circumstances. And so this is the

00:31:27 --> 00:31:31
			delusion but all of us shaped
again, by our whatever's shaping

00:31:31 --> 00:31:34
			our perspectives, which usually
falls into the category of the

00:31:34 --> 00:31:38
			language that is being infused, or
that we're absorbing. So feelings

00:31:38 --> 00:31:43
			of all these things, we have the
power to control, right? That is,

00:31:43 --> 00:31:46
			absolutely, it's the Hallmark
quality of a believer, if you

00:31:46 --> 00:31:51
			don't have a debt, if you don't
speak, well, considerate of other

00:31:51 --> 00:31:54
			people, what what are we doing?
These are you we're missing,

00:31:54 --> 00:31:58
			again, the point of prophetic
character learning about his life

00:31:58 --> 00:32:02
			and Sierra is the best way to
learn is to embody his

00:32:02 --> 00:32:05
			characteristics. So Adam is very
important. And you'll see a lot of

00:32:05 --> 00:32:08
			people nowadays, minimizing, oh,
what's the point of that, and they

00:32:08 --> 00:32:12
			kind of almost mock the emphasis
on other this is terrible. And you

00:32:12 --> 00:32:17
			know, may Allah forgive? Those of
you who even would ever say

00:32:17 --> 00:32:20
			something like that, to kind of
make a mockery out of people who

00:32:20 --> 00:32:23
			put a high price on other, but we
are people of other Bucha be

00:32:23 --> 00:32:27
			people who are not, then we need
to examine the language that we're

00:32:27 --> 00:32:31
			using, and why we speak without,
you know, these filters, if we're

00:32:31 --> 00:32:34
			going to go and put all these
filters on our face to try to

00:32:34 --> 00:32:37
			present ourselves so beautifully
to the world, but then exhibit the

00:32:37 --> 00:32:41
			ugliness of bad character. What
good is that doing anybody. So the

00:32:41 --> 00:32:45
			priority is to actually show up
with beautiful character. And

00:32:45 --> 00:32:48
			that's true, beautiful dishes,
other beliefs, sincerity, all of

00:32:48 --> 00:32:50
			these things are in our control,
and then what we can't control and

00:32:50 --> 00:32:54
			this is where, again, the power of
words comes into play, we have to

00:32:54 --> 00:32:57
			have some real talk, some of us
have been given the wrong

00:32:57 --> 00:33:00
			understanding. Some of us have
been given false hope, or a false,

00:33:00 --> 00:33:04
			you know, expectations. And that's
where our reality isn't matching

00:33:04 --> 00:33:08
			up with what we're expecting, and
we fall apart. Oh, I did it. And

00:33:08 --> 00:33:12
			it didn't my marriage didn't work
out. Therefore, I'm doomed. No,

00:33:12 --> 00:33:16
			you did. It's the Hata asking
Allah subhanaw taala to give you

00:33:16 --> 00:33:19
			hate and dunya and Ashra, you did
not do this, the hotter as this

00:33:19 --> 00:33:25
			magical, you know, abracadabra,
Word, you know, spell that then

00:33:25 --> 00:33:27
			gives you every single thing that
you want in life. That's not the

00:33:27 --> 00:33:30
			dawn of staccato. So your
perspective is off. You're

00:33:30 --> 00:33:33
			petitioning Oh, was poppin. And
the dog was kind of saying, y'all

00:33:33 --> 00:33:36
			Allah, if it's good for me, and
sometimes a difficult marriage is

00:33:36 --> 00:33:39
			actually good for you. Sometimes
you're put in a difficult

00:33:39 --> 00:33:43
			marriage, because it's a mirror
for you to see the ugliness that

00:33:43 --> 00:33:46
			is rotting your soul that maybe
you're oblivious to. Because the

00:33:46 --> 00:33:49
			spouse is a person who can and I'm
not talking about abusive

00:33:49 --> 00:33:52
			marriages, by the way, I want to
be very clear, I'm not talking

00:33:52 --> 00:33:54
			about abusive marriages, I'm
talking about a marriage where

00:33:54 --> 00:33:57
			there's incompatibility, a
marriage where maybe, you know,

00:33:57 --> 00:34:02
			your your spouse is, is showing
you, you know, yourself or sign up

00:34:02 --> 00:34:07
			to can. So sometimes that's the
purpose of going through a

00:34:07 --> 00:34:10
			difficult marriage. And if the
marriage ends up, not, you know,

00:34:11 --> 00:34:14
			dissolving, then you can't look at
it as Oh, that was not an answer

00:34:14 --> 00:34:17
			to my stuff on it. And what is
this? And now your whole faith

00:34:17 --> 00:34:20
			isn't kept, you know, in doubt,
no, you look at it, like, what did

00:34:20 --> 00:34:25
			I ask? I also want this created
for me, and maybe I needed to see

00:34:25 --> 00:34:27
			some of those things. Maybe I
learned more about myself in that

00:34:27 --> 00:34:30
			marriage. Maybe I had a child or
children out of that marriage. And

00:34:30 --> 00:34:35
			that was hard for me. So this is
how we can, you know, really shape

00:34:35 --> 00:34:38
			our perspective. But a lot of this
comes down to again, the language

00:34:38 --> 00:34:41
			understanding the way that we're
interpreting things, the power

00:34:43 --> 00:34:45
			knifes, we're not gonna be able to
control everything that happens in

00:34:45 --> 00:34:49
			dunya, we're not going to be able
to control the knifes in the sense

00:34:49 --> 00:34:53
			that desires you know, come up and
sometimes we we, I mean, we should

00:34:53 --> 00:34:56
			be able to but sometimes those
desires are just part of our test,

00:34:56 --> 00:34:59
			right? So we have to be able to
realize that that

00:35:00 --> 00:35:02
			You know, some people are tested
in certain things and other people

00:35:02 --> 00:35:05
			are in other things. And that's
just part of the human experience

00:35:05 --> 00:35:09
			shake on he'll come and remember
shit on also uses words, right

00:35:09 --> 00:35:13
			he's the uswest he's the one who
whispers. So he is also part of

00:35:13 --> 00:35:17
			this whole, you know human
experiment that we can't ignore

00:35:17 --> 00:35:22
			that he will also use words to
infect our hearts with ideas and

00:35:22 --> 00:35:25
			distort our perceptions. So we
have to be vigilant about the

00:35:25 --> 00:35:31
			words that we are, that we are,
you know, using or infusing in our

00:35:31 --> 00:35:36
			hearts to combat his negativity
and his false narrative or his

00:35:36 --> 00:35:41
			lies. So we also can't control
them their words, their actions,

00:35:41 --> 00:35:45
			we also can't control the
responsive dog, right? Because

00:35:45 --> 00:35:47
			there's a hadith I don't have it
here. But where the Prophet SAW

00:35:47 --> 00:35:51
			Selim says that, you know, there
are many people who will make dua,

00:35:51 --> 00:35:53
			but the reason why they're DWIs
and answered is because they put a

00:35:53 --> 00:35:57
			timer on it. This is also a
problem. And this comes from this

00:35:57 --> 00:36:01
			very distorted worldview where
everything is so transactional and

00:36:01 --> 00:36:04
			instant gratification that you
expect everything to go your way

00:36:04 --> 00:36:07
			just because again, you willed it,
you know, I wanted it, I ordered

00:36:07 --> 00:36:11
			it, it should come in the mail,
you know, where's my Amazon order?

00:36:11 --> 00:36:14
			It's supposed to come here, I have
prime. And so we get this kind of

00:36:14 --> 00:36:17
			mindset that everything is just
come when I want it. And when it

00:36:17 --> 00:36:21
			doesn't, what, what does that do?
It affects your feed, what have

00:36:21 --> 00:36:25
			you forgotten losing control? Do
you do you need to be reminded,

00:36:25 --> 00:36:28
			just because you want it doesn't
mean anything. If you're really

00:36:28 --> 00:36:32
			trusting your Lord, and you're
referring to his knowledge over

00:36:32 --> 00:36:36
			your own, then put it out in the
universe, be sincere, know that he

00:36:36 --> 00:36:39
			has your best interests in mind,
if he gives it to you, Al

00:36:39 --> 00:36:42
			Hamdulillah, if you delete it
Alhamdulillah if he gives it to

00:36:42 --> 00:36:45
			you in the next world of
Hamdulillah, single case, you're

00:36:45 --> 00:36:48
			successful. So where's the
problem? The problem is,

00:36:48 --> 00:36:53
			worldview. And that worldview is
shaped by the words. So for the

00:36:53 --> 00:36:57
			outcomes, a lot of these things we
have to just contend with. We

00:36:57 --> 00:37:00
			don't control outcomes, you can
put a lot of effort into

00:37:00 --> 00:37:03
			something, but maybe it won't come
out the way you wanted it to. Do

00:37:03 --> 00:37:06
			you trust a lot and ended any of
the beat? Do you believe your

00:37:06 --> 00:37:10
			Creator has the best, you know,
intentions for you and wants the

00:37:10 --> 00:37:13
			best for you? Do you believe that
with every fiber of your being,

00:37:13 --> 00:37:16
			then have patients have beautiful
patients with whatever you're

00:37:16 --> 00:37:18
			going through? This world is
short, we're all going to be out

00:37:18 --> 00:37:22
			anyway. And in the next life, as
the Hadith reminds us when that

00:37:22 --> 00:37:25
			when the man who suffered more
than any other human being ever,

00:37:25 --> 00:37:29
			in the totality of the human
experience, the one person who

00:37:29 --> 00:37:32
			suffered more than all of
humanity, Allah subhanaw taala

00:37:32 --> 00:37:36
			dips him in Jannah for just a
moment for just a second. And then

00:37:36 --> 00:37:40
			he asks him Did you suffer in the
dunya and heal, I did not suffer?

00:37:40 --> 00:37:43
			That is Jenna, that's the
hereafter that we're supposed to

00:37:43 --> 00:37:46
			be looking toward. And that's
where our promises it's not in

00:37:46 --> 00:37:50
			this dunya so these are the types
of messages words that we have to

00:37:50 --> 00:37:56
			be really not just reading and,
and and, and, you know, thinking

00:37:56 --> 00:37:59
			over but absorbing into every
single cell of our being. And

00:37:59 --> 00:38:03
			that's why, again, we're we have
to be so grateful to our dean that

00:38:03 --> 00:38:06
			that teaches us to repeat, keep
getting up for prayer, keep

00:38:06 --> 00:38:10
			getting up, you've read the Quran,
already read it again, keep

00:38:10 --> 00:38:13
			reading it, what's stopping you?
Is there anything else better than

00:38:13 --> 00:38:16
			reading the book of Allah and I
say this to myself, as advice for

00:38:16 --> 00:38:20
			myself as well that we sometimes
we forget that what is better than

00:38:20 --> 00:38:24
			having access to the words, the
perfect words of our creative,

00:38:24 --> 00:38:26
			nothing, nothing is better. But
the human being were so

00:38:26 --> 00:38:30
			delusional, right? And so the six
useful skills and I know I'm

00:38:30 --> 00:38:33
			sorry, I probably way over time,
let me actually check. Usually we

00:38:33 --> 00:38:36
			get we get warnings my way over
time. Yep.

00:38:38 --> 00:38:42
			Okay, I'm sorry, I went off on so
many tangents I apologize. But

00:38:42 --> 00:38:46
			this is the final piece I'll leave
you with, in terms of, you know,

00:38:46 --> 00:38:48
			regulating our emotions, because I
know a lot of us are dealing with

00:38:48 --> 00:38:52
			heavy things. But I just wanted to
bring it back to the you know, the

00:38:52 --> 00:38:57
			power of words to our states are
beings. And this is how we do it.

00:38:57 --> 00:39:00
			We have to be aware, we have to
have mindfulness, we have to you

00:39:00 --> 00:39:04
			know, be able to cognitive
reappraisal and be able to re

00:39:04 --> 00:39:08
			imagine things rethink things in
their proper context. And that's

00:39:09 --> 00:39:13
			part of you know, what all of this
is, is is what what, what our deen

00:39:13 --> 00:39:16
			teaches us is to understand things
in their proper meanings, not the

00:39:16 --> 00:39:20
			distortions that then affect your
perceptions to actually understand

00:39:20 --> 00:39:23
			them as almost not that intended
them to be to be adaptable, to

00:39:23 --> 00:39:26
			have self compassion and to look
for emotional support. A lot more

00:39:26 --> 00:39:29
			to say I'm sorry, we're gonna have
to do a part to everyone but I'm

00:39:29 --> 00:39:33
			here for the q&a. Bismillah go
ahead SR Roboto take it over

00:39:33 --> 00:39:37
			mashallah, thank you so much. I
started Jose, you covered this, so

00:39:37 --> 00:39:41
			comprehensively, so I hope
everyone appreciate it and really

00:39:41 --> 00:39:43
			benefited from it assisted,
repulsive, we don't mind about

00:39:43 --> 00:39:47
			going over time. So they all
really, really enjoyed it. And you

00:39:47 --> 00:39:50
			know, as you were talking, the
idea that came to my mind about

00:39:50 --> 00:39:55
			words was you know, the is a good
word is like a good tree with

00:39:55 --> 00:40:00
			roots firm and its branches in the
sky. So, somehow that was like

00:40:00 --> 00:40:05
			Have a really profound
conversation and topic on words

00:40:05 --> 00:40:09
			and and like all the ways that can
affect us all the ways we can kind

00:40:09 --> 00:40:13
			of deal with them. And we had a
lot of positive comments as well.

00:40:13 --> 00:40:16
			So without further ado, I'm just
gonna go into the q&a because we

00:40:16 --> 00:40:17
			did get some questions.

00:40:19 --> 00:40:21
			So sister Kimberly asked

00:40:22 --> 00:40:25
			at SoCo, Mr. Jose, what are the
four sources of thoughts that

00:40:25 --> 00:40:28
			you're referred to? Absolutely
just like okay this is true

00:40:28 --> 00:40:32
			Kimberly. So the four are the,
there whatever Neff say or sorry

00:40:32 --> 00:40:36
			however, Rabbani or however
Molokini whether Neff Sani, and

00:40:36 --> 00:40:41
			how other shaytani which
translation is, they are

00:40:41 --> 00:40:45
			inspirations or thoughts that are
coming from almost kinda directly

00:40:45 --> 00:40:49
			to the human being. thoughts that
come from the angelic realm,

00:40:49 --> 00:40:52
			right? The angels do actually
communicate with us thoughts that

00:40:52 --> 00:40:57
			come emanate from the knifes our
own internal dialogue or inner

00:40:57 --> 00:41:00
			dialogue, and then thoughts that
come from the demonic realm

00:41:00 --> 00:41:05
			shaitan, which is the West Lissa.
So these are the four streams of

00:41:05 --> 00:41:08
			inspiration or thoughts that come
to the human being and everything

00:41:08 --> 00:41:11
			that we experience, everything
that we're told to all the

00:41:11 --> 00:41:15
			messaging that we are bombarded
with and be, you know, under one

00:41:15 --> 00:41:20
			of these four groups. So I hope
that's clear. Thank you so much.

00:41:20 --> 00:41:23
			We just had a comment saying
please do part two. So I think

00:41:23 --> 00:41:26
			everyone was going through every
word, and they're really excited

00:41:26 --> 00:41:30
			to hear more about this topic. But
just another question, you did

00:41:30 --> 00:41:34
			kind of talk about the situation a
little bit in your talk, but

00:41:34 --> 00:41:35
			someone asked,

00:41:36 --> 00:41:41
			How much do you rely on, on
yourself? And how much Allah? If

00:41:41 --> 00:41:45
			I'm angry at my husband? How much?
How much should I speak up for

00:41:45 --> 00:41:49
			myself? And how much should I just
leave the matter alone for a lot

00:41:49 --> 00:41:50
			to handle?

00:41:51 --> 00:41:54
			Excellent questions as I feel fit
into the sister who asked,

00:41:55 --> 00:41:59
			obviously, you know, when we are
put in those very difficult

00:41:59 --> 00:42:03
			situations, it is an opportunity
to grow to better ourselves, but

00:42:03 --> 00:42:05
			we want to be in the right state
of mind. So in the initial

00:42:05 --> 00:42:09
			aftermath of like a dispute with
your spouse, maybe you're not

00:42:09 --> 00:42:13
			ready, you know, you're not ready.
And I think this need sometimes

00:42:13 --> 00:42:15
			and this is where temperament
theory is very helpful, because if

00:42:15 --> 00:42:17
			you understand temperament theory,
you'll understand that some people

00:42:18 --> 00:42:21
			are very highly reactive people
and they want to kind of do the

00:42:21 --> 00:42:24
			conflict resolution really quickly
and other people need more time to

00:42:24 --> 00:42:27
			process. So if you know your
temperament and you also know your

00:42:27 --> 00:42:30
			spouse's temperament, which you
should, everybody should and also

00:42:30 --> 00:42:33
			your children, and everybody that
you know, in life, you really

00:42:33 --> 00:42:37
			should know people's temperaments.
It will help you to tailor your

00:42:37 --> 00:42:40
			reaction and your response
according to what's appropriate

00:42:40 --> 00:42:43
			for that relationship. But if you
yourself first of all, you know,

00:42:43 --> 00:42:47
			as we talked about, self awareness
is the starting point. If you are

00:42:47 --> 00:42:49
			a person that needs a little bit
more time to deliberate to

00:42:49 --> 00:42:53
			sickness, you have to gain
perspective to maybe make dua

00:42:53 --> 00:42:56
			before you feel like you want to
tackle something that's

00:42:56 --> 00:43:02
			complicated or heavy, do it don't
fall into or don't be pulled into

00:43:02 --> 00:43:06
			sometimes we're pulled into
altercations when we don't want to

00:43:06 --> 00:43:11
			have boundaries and be very clear
with your spouse. Please give me

00:43:11 --> 00:43:15
			some time. I just need some time
to think and if you're if your

00:43:15 --> 00:43:18
			spouse for example, is a type that
wants to just get through the

00:43:18 --> 00:43:22
			confrontational very, you know
there are those very domineering

00:43:22 --> 00:43:25
			personality types of sometimes we
have to deal with but when

00:43:25 --> 00:43:28
			boundaries are in place and you
know yourself and you can be

00:43:28 --> 00:43:31
			advocate yourself in that way,
which says, Please give me some

00:43:31 --> 00:43:33
			time and then you turn to you turn
to the last founder and that's

00:43:33 --> 00:43:37
			actually what we should always do
in the event of any difficulty and

00:43:37 --> 00:43:40
			challenge is we first turn to
Allah subhana wa Tada so to answer

00:43:40 --> 00:43:45
			your question, Allah first and
then process you know, as we we

00:43:45 --> 00:43:49
			should, according to what is best
for that circumstance. And there's

00:43:49 --> 00:43:51
			no one size fits all by the way, I
really want to make this clear.

00:43:52 --> 00:43:55
			Your communication style is your
style, right? Kind of like love

00:43:55 --> 00:43:58
			languages, we all know about love
languages, but every single human

00:43:58 --> 00:44:00
			being has a different
communication style and emotional

00:44:00 --> 00:44:04
			intelligence is when you learn to
learn other people's communication

00:44:04 --> 00:44:09
			style and adapt and start to
really find a common language that

00:44:09 --> 00:44:12
			brings your language and your in
your interaction lucky or the

00:44:12 --> 00:44:15
			person that you're going to talk
with what together so that it's a

00:44:15 --> 00:44:19
			common and mutual mutually
beneficial exchange. So that's

00:44:19 --> 00:44:20
			what I would encourage you to do.

00:44:21 --> 00:44:24
			Thank you so much, Sarah, Jose.

00:44:25 --> 00:44:28
			One thing that you know, the
audience really appreciated and

00:44:28 --> 00:44:31
			enjoyed was your explanation of
how to type out inshallah.

00:44:34 --> 00:44:37
			A couple of people did ask, you
know, how is it written they

00:44:37 --> 00:44:40
			wanted confirmation Someone asked,
is the meaning chain if you put

00:44:40 --> 00:44:43
			the phrase into one word, is it
still incorrect to write it like

00:44:43 --> 00:44:47
			this? So if you could, it's
actually incorrect. It is

00:44:47 --> 00:44:51
			incorrect to write it as two words
it's not insha. Allah in sha means

00:44:51 --> 00:44:55
			to create. So what you're saying
is to create Allah is actually

00:44:55 --> 00:44:59
			wrong and dangerous and many
scholars advise against writing it

00:44:59 --> 00:44:59
			that way and

00:45:00 --> 00:45:03
			They say that if you see it, you
should correct it. Unfortunately,

00:45:03 --> 00:45:06
			again, people have, we're just
doing things cut, paste, copy,

00:45:06 --> 00:45:10
			we're not really thinking through
our choices. And I told you my

00:45:10 --> 00:45:13
			story, I was doing the same thing.
Until 100. I was pointed out to

00:45:13 --> 00:45:16
			me, and then when I read even
further, and let me see if I can

00:45:16 --> 00:45:19
			quickly, while maybe you are
bringing up the next question, I

00:45:19 --> 00:45:23
			can find this website because I do
think it was a very valuable write

00:45:23 --> 00:45:28
			up that this this person did, to
that gives that gave me a lot of

00:45:28 --> 00:45:30
			this information that I was
sharing with you today. But you

00:45:30 --> 00:45:34
			know, from what I have learned, so
I'm gonna sorry, let me okay, let

00:45:34 --> 00:45:36
			me try to find out quickly.

00:45:39 --> 00:45:45
			For one second, is this one, just
so we can? Yes, it should be in

00:45:45 --> 00:45:51
			three words in which is if SHA
right willing, Allah God, so if

00:45:51 --> 00:45:57
			God willing, but separating the
three in English and in Arabic, so

00:45:57 --> 00:46:00
			let me actually pull up this
website because I feel like once

00:46:00 --> 00:46:05
			you see the way that sorry, one
second, just give me a moment that

00:46:05 --> 00:46:09
			they have it. You'll it he does a
very good explanation.

00:46:11 --> 00:46:15
			Is this the one? So yeah, if you
can give me just a moment and I'm

00:46:15 --> 00:46:19
			with you and be distracted for a
moment until I find this website.

00:46:20 --> 00:46:25
			Yep, no worries. While you are
waiting, I'll read some praises

00:46:25 --> 00:46:27
			for you said

00:46:28 --> 00:46:31
			that I was dying to celebrate
mercy team. We are blessed to have

00:46:31 --> 00:46:34
			such good Allama and they're
coming to us from Mississauga,

00:46:34 --> 00:46:37
			Canada. I'm currently in Toronto,
so it's always good to see some

00:46:37 --> 00:46:41
			Canadian thoughts. Were able to
find the website. I did. And I

00:46:41 --> 00:46:45
			found it. I actually sent into
city thoughts on WhatsApp, I'm

00:46:45 --> 00:46:47
			sorry, because I'm working on my
phone. I have it on my phone, but

00:46:47 --> 00:46:51
			I can't seem to find it on. So
here, I'm going to type it to you

00:46:51 --> 00:46:53
			in our private chat system without
it if you can share it with

00:46:53 --> 00:46:57
			everyone else. That would be
wonderful. So here it is. It's a

00:46:57 --> 00:47:00
			really good write up. I encourage
everyone to read it. He does. He

00:47:00 --> 00:47:04
			does a beautiful breakdown. He
actually has quite a lot

00:47:05 --> 00:47:11
			in there about versus men and that
also speak of the word in chat and

00:47:11 --> 00:47:17
			show the distinction between the
singular like inicia and in sha

00:47:17 --> 00:47:21
			Allah. So it's just a really well
done write up and I would I would

00:47:21 --> 00:47:24
			definitely read that. I would
encourage people to read that. And

00:47:24 --> 00:47:29
			show Mashallah. Thank you so much.
We have another question. Maybe

00:47:29 --> 00:47:34
			this can be our final question.
Samira said, How are we for fight?

00:47:34 --> 00:47:38
			Or neffs thoughts aren't any
thoughts? Okay, that's a great

00:47:38 --> 00:47:39
			question. Just like

00:47:40 --> 00:47:44
			it's I'm sorry, Samir. Yeah.
Samira sister Samira Great

00:47:44 --> 00:47:48
			question, you know, fighting the
knifes is the eternal or the

00:47:48 --> 00:47:51
			sorry, the struggle, lifelong
struggle, we're all in, we're all

00:47:51 --> 00:47:53
			going to be in this room, which I
had enough is really what we do

00:47:53 --> 00:47:57
			every single day. It's not as easy
as it may sound to do it is

00:47:57 --> 00:48:00
			difficult for that reason, but I
would say the best thing to do

00:48:00 --> 00:48:03
			start to really pay attention to
your thoughts, you know, I gave

00:48:03 --> 00:48:06
			you that structure of the four you
know, hot that it just so that we

00:48:06 --> 00:48:10
			can start to understand, where's
the information that we're

00:48:10 --> 00:48:13
			receiving? And that we're kind of
repeating in our head? What is it

00:48:13 --> 00:48:16
			coming from? Can I source it back?
Is this just enough? See thought?

00:48:16 --> 00:48:19
			Is it a shape Donek thought
obviously, anything that causes to

00:48:19 --> 00:48:22
			evil would be shaytani or Neff?
See because the knifes Believe it

00:48:22 --> 00:48:26
			or not, and this is sometimes
shocking to people, but the knifes

00:48:26 --> 00:48:29
			is actually the greatest of all
the evils. So you know, we have an

00:48:29 --> 00:48:34
			understanding that there are four
evils, which is the dunya however,

00:48:34 --> 00:48:39
			the desire that fluctuates from
the human being the shaitan

00:48:39 --> 00:48:41
			himself and then the knifes. So
these are the four sources of

00:48:41 --> 00:48:45
			evil, but Allah man tell us that
the neffs is the greatest of the

00:48:45 --> 00:48:50
			four. Why? Because into it, it's
our mind, it's our it's our voice

00:48:50 --> 00:48:54
			in our head. So we're not thinking
that it's going to, you know, call

00:48:54 --> 00:48:57
			us to something harmful, but it
absolutely does it's really want

00:48:57 --> 00:49:02
			to in the correct way, it always
seeks the easiest route. It's, it

00:49:02 --> 00:49:05
			wants to be always comfortable. So
it'll prioritize its own comfort

00:49:05 --> 00:49:09
			above the right course of action.
So childhood, first of all,

00:49:09 --> 00:49:11
			becoming very aware of the
distinctions of how to discern

00:49:11 --> 00:49:15
			between the knifes and shaytaan is
important. And the best way to do

00:49:15 --> 00:49:19
			that is to know the simple idea,
which is anytime you have a new

00:49:19 --> 00:49:23
			thought that you've never done
before, a new inspiration of evil,

00:49:23 --> 00:49:27
			that's a bliss, your bliss wants
you to, you know, keep basically,

00:49:28 --> 00:49:30
			you know, falling. So he's going
to

00:49:31 --> 00:49:35
			introduce ideas, new ideas that
are harmful to you. But once you

00:49:35 --> 00:49:39
			habituate to something and you're
just doing it all the time, that's

00:49:39 --> 00:49:42
			your enough, it's habituated to
it. So that's the simple way of

00:49:42 --> 00:49:45
			differentiating an inspiration or
a thought like if you're going to

00:49:45 --> 00:49:47
			do something that you've done
before, you can't blame that on at

00:49:47 --> 00:49:50
			least right. So paying attention
to those things and then to start

00:49:50 --> 00:49:56
			to look at, you know, I because I
teach youth so I tried to come up

00:49:56 --> 00:49:59
			with visual guides or visual
models of teach

00:50:00 --> 00:50:04
			doing. So I think the best thing
that I came up with are kind of,

00:50:05 --> 00:50:08
			in my own trying to explain this
to them we came up with it was

00:50:08 --> 00:50:11
			was, was to think of like your
heart as this

00:50:13 --> 00:50:17
			is a pure vessel, right? It's
pure, it's untainted. And a

00:50:17 --> 00:50:21
			similar analogy would be like if
you had squeezed from the most

00:50:21 --> 00:50:25
			beautiful, you know, pomegranate
all of its juice and nectar and

00:50:25 --> 00:50:30
			it's just so rich. It's so it's
thick, it's beautiful. It's

00:50:30 --> 00:50:33
			delicious. It's got all of its
just intact, right? It's

00:50:33 --> 00:50:36
			beautiful. It's perfect, right?
And you have that in a vessel. But

00:50:36 --> 00:50:42
			then you started to take that pure
substance, and slowly start to mix

00:50:42 --> 00:50:46
			it with water right over time,
what's going to happen to it is,

00:50:46 --> 00:50:49
			are you going to even see any
remnants of the juice anymore,

00:50:49 --> 00:50:54
			when you diluted so much? With
everything else? Right? And what

00:50:54 --> 00:50:57
			do I mean with water. So the way I
look at it is that ultimately

00:50:57 --> 00:51:02
			created our hearts as souls, then
he gave us the great treasure of

00:51:02 --> 00:51:06
			his book and of the prophesy set
him to teach and model ourselves

00:51:06 --> 00:51:10
			after. So we're spending a lot of
time filling that vessel with this

00:51:10 --> 00:51:15
			purity, right. And also making
sure that other thoughts and ideas

00:51:15 --> 00:51:20
			that are alien antithetical
against our, the purity of our

00:51:20 --> 00:51:25
			faith are not allowed in, then we
preserve the purity of our faith.

00:51:25 --> 00:51:30
			But what's happened is in the age
of information, we have opened the

00:51:30 --> 00:51:32
			Pandora's box or the floodgates,
whatever you want to call it.

00:51:32 --> 00:51:36
			There's too many ideas, too much
information coming to us. We're

00:51:36 --> 00:51:42
			not gatekeeping or protecting our
hearts. We're not vigilant over

00:51:42 --> 00:51:46
			our vessels. And so what's
happening is, is we it's

00:51:46 --> 00:51:49
			confusing, and everybody's kind of
walking around with all these

00:51:49 --> 00:51:51
			distortions, cognitive
distortions, different ideas,

00:51:51 --> 00:51:56
			wrong ideas, wrong conceptions,
too much traffic, the incoming

00:51:56 --> 00:51:59
			traffic needs to stop and I think
once you pay attention to your

00:51:59 --> 00:52:02
			thoughts, and you realize like,
Wow, all the television I'm

00:52:02 --> 00:52:06
			watching the music, I'm listening
to the you know, the tabloid

00:52:06 --> 00:52:10
			stuff, people will spend hours
online going through tick tock or

00:52:10 --> 00:52:13
			reading on their Kindle. You know,
you see these people who are very

00:52:13 --> 00:52:17
			obsessed with certain genres of
television, I mean, books, and

00:52:17 --> 00:52:21
			film, all of that is, is like
diluting the purity of your heart.

00:52:22 --> 00:52:25
			It's just diluting that pure
beautiful, you know, I use that

00:52:25 --> 00:52:29
			juice analogy, but like, think
about it, what's going to remain

00:52:29 --> 00:52:32
			if you have all those ideas
swimming around inside of you,

00:52:32 --> 00:52:36
			where is the kalam Allah, where is
the Prophetic beauty that we're

00:52:36 --> 00:52:39
			taught where's it's going to be
just lost in the ocean and the,

00:52:39 --> 00:52:41
			you know, the volume of all the
other stuff that we're pouring

00:52:41 --> 00:52:46
			into it. So be vigilant about what
you're pouring into that vessel,

00:52:46 --> 00:52:51
			and inshallah you will start to
see, you gain mastery over your

00:52:51 --> 00:52:55
			next because when you are taking
in those words of Allah subhanho,

00:52:55 --> 00:52:58
			the most perfect words of Allah
and the prophesy centum, then that

00:52:58 --> 00:53:02
			has that ripple effect on a
cellular level as we saw in those

00:53:02 --> 00:53:08
			experiments, realities, people's
entire states can be transformed,

00:53:08 --> 00:53:11
			you know, because of the words of
ALLAH SubhanA that is a sheets

00:53:11 --> 00:53:15
			called the Shiva for a reason. And
there is on YouTube, just as a

00:53:15 --> 00:53:18
			quick last minute thing for my
mother alive, somehow was sick in

00:53:18 --> 00:53:21
			the hospital, I was getting so
much advice and one of my closest

00:53:21 --> 00:53:26
			friends Sharifa Ozma, my best
friend, I would say, May Allah

00:53:26 --> 00:53:31
			bless her and increaser she shared
with me some videos that were very

00:53:31 --> 00:53:35
			powerful about a physician in
Pakistan, who is you know, he's a

00:53:35 --> 00:53:39
			very well known reputable doctor
and he had patients with all these

00:53:39 --> 00:53:43
			different complications and he is
a committed strong believer. He

00:53:43 --> 00:53:46
			really believes in Allah. And he
started to see in his own

00:53:46 --> 00:53:51
			practice, why am I not using the
Quran? Allah calls it a she fell

00:53:51 --> 00:53:54
			What am I doing? So he started
incorporating the recitation of

00:53:54 --> 00:54:00
			the Quran as part of his therapy
to his patients. And the results

00:54:00 --> 00:54:05
			were incredible. People were like
a cancer was disappearing. A lot

00:54:05 --> 00:54:10
			of things he was like, we have to
believe Allah is giving us all the

00:54:10 --> 00:54:14
			answers. It's our weakness of
faith that we're not even using

00:54:14 --> 00:54:18
			the means that he's put forth but
for us so we have to I think just

00:54:18 --> 00:54:22
			really appreciate the immense gift
of being Muslim and having all of

00:54:22 --> 00:54:25
			just if we're not you know,
benefiting from it that's because

00:54:25 --> 00:54:29
			of our own selves. It's not that
there isn't power that we just are

00:54:29 --> 00:54:33
			not benefiting so we all guide us
and and you know, and bring us

00:54:33 --> 00:54:38
			inshallah his healing and and
really strengthen our faith

00:54:38 --> 00:54:39
			inshallah. I mean,

00:54:40 --> 00:54:44
			100 I call it gone away over
today, and I'm sorry, I did not

00:54:44 --> 00:54:48
			mean to do that. No, not at all,
though. I think it was meant to be

00:54:48 --> 00:54:52
			I think everyone benefited greatly
from everything that you shared

00:54:52 --> 00:54:56
			with us today. I know I did for
sure. I wanted to share this car

00:54:56 --> 00:54:59
			with my sister Rashida who served
as a fellow here San Jose for the

00:54:59 --> 00:54:59
			gems upon

00:55:00 --> 00:55:03
			gems you shared with us. May Allah
azza wa jal or reward you

00:55:03 --> 00:55:07
			abundantly and as well, you had a
salon from our dear sister summer,

00:55:07 --> 00:55:13
			who said, so good to hear from you
on Friday gems again. And actually

00:55:13 --> 00:55:20
			I wanted to share something with
you here today. So Jose says from

00:55:21 --> 00:55:25
			Tarik and the entire celebrate
mercy team, not this

00:55:27 --> 00:55:29
			this one happy birthday

00:55:31 --> 00:55:35
			we're so grateful I wanted to say
that we're so

00:55:36 --> 00:55:40
			for your continued contribution to
our programs, we pray that Allah

00:55:40 --> 00:55:43
			subhanaw taala continues to bless
you with guidance and wisdom so

00:55:43 --> 00:55:46
			that you may continue to inspire
generations to come on the path

00:55:46 --> 00:55:49
			path of our Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam and made it a

00:55:49 --> 00:55:52
			plus the year for you and your
family

00:55:54 --> 00:55:58
			man thank you that is so sweet and
I was not expecting that sister

00:55:58 --> 00:56:01
			summer very we share birthdays
around the same time her and

00:56:02 --> 00:56:06
			and I so we exchanged messages
usually and so she messaged me

00:56:06 --> 00:56:08
			earlier today I saw it on my way
here I haven't had a chance to

00:56:08 --> 00:56:11
			respond I did not expect that all
of you knew that but thank you so

00:56:11 --> 00:56:14
			much. It's very kind of you may
Allah reward all of you and me

00:56:14 --> 00:56:16
			which mean thank you. Thank you

00:56:19 --> 00:56:22
			I had some celebration emojis on
this slide as well. But

00:56:22 --> 00:56:24
			unfortunately it didn't come up
but just imagine

00:56:25 --> 00:56:27
			a lot of celebration.

00:56:28 --> 00:56:30
			It's really sweet. Thank you.
Thank you everyone. Also since

00:56:31 --> 00:56:34
			it's I think her birthday too
right summer. So we have like a

00:56:34 --> 00:56:37
			string of us that are all around
the same time. It's an honor.

00:56:37 --> 00:56:38
			Thank you and

00:56:42 --> 00:56:46
			we have many comments here wishing
you Happy birthday, masha Allah so

00:56:46 --> 00:56:50
			thank you so much. We all
benefited greatly from the session

00:56:50 --> 00:56:54
			today. Everything that you shared,
masha Allah, and we always look

00:56:54 --> 00:56:57
			forward to having you on this
program. Zakho friend, and I'm so

00:56:57 --> 00:57:00
			sorry, I forgot to mention one
last thing, and I promise I'll end

00:57:00 --> 00:57:03
			here. It's actually fitting
because it is a DUA, but the

00:57:03 --> 00:57:05
			prophesies of them said and this
is just to remind you again, the

00:57:05 --> 00:57:09
			power of words, he said the best
remembrance is La Ilaha illa

00:57:09 --> 00:57:13
			Allah, and the best application is
Alhamdulillah. So the point of you

00:57:13 --> 00:57:17
			know, all of this discussion that
we had today is to never minimize

00:57:17 --> 00:57:20
			the words of Allah subhanaw taala
even if we think they're just

00:57:20 --> 00:57:24
			short phrases, they hold immense
weight and when we're taught, you

00:57:24 --> 00:57:27
			know, what is the best Vica to do
to remember all those problems,

00:57:27 --> 00:57:31
			just say that I had a lot remember
constantly God is one God is one

00:57:31 --> 00:57:33
			God has one as the most pleasing
to Allah, and then to be in a

00:57:33 --> 00:57:36
			state of real gratitude on
hamdulillah it's so powerful, it's

00:57:36 --> 00:57:39
			not just a word, it rolls off the
tongue very nicely but it it

00:57:39 --> 00:57:43
			really is a state of being when
you say it with the right

00:57:43 --> 00:57:46
			understanding. It should emanate
from the heart where you're like

00:57:46 --> 00:57:50
			thank you, Allah Alhamdulillah
sugar, thank you Allah for, for

00:57:50 --> 00:57:53
			everything for the gift of
existence for the gift of being a

00:57:53 --> 00:57:56
			Muslim in the home of the best of
creation. So a lot is sort of for

00:57:56 --> 00:57:58
			the gift of life and health and
well being and family and loved

00:57:58 --> 00:58:01
			ones and all the opportunities
that he gives us. Thank you, Your

00:58:01 --> 00:58:04
			Allah Thank you. Thank you, thank
you. That is what that is. And if

00:58:04 --> 00:58:08
			it's not that, then get your heart
to that place in sha Allah May

00:58:08 --> 00:58:11
			Allah guide us Joseph Morehead and
forgive me again. For the time it

00:58:11 --> 00:58:13
			was an honor and a pleasure May
Allah reward all of you so don't

00:58:13 --> 00:58:14
			want to go into what

00:58:15 --> 00:58:18
			they call it fell out of my hotel
love ikata Thank you
