			So you know you get 30 good deeds for responding to salons. So inshallah we'll try that one more
time SNM Lottie Kumara mithila here that I kept it who

00:00:54 --> 00:01:42
			does that love Hayden, for having me It's truly an honor and a privilege to be speaking about the
Prophet sallallahu ala cinnamon joining you all this evening. And inshallah tonight I would like to
discuss with you the mindfulness of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and may ask you all for
a favor, please. When I say the prophets of Allah, hollywood cinemas name, let's all send Scylla
watts upon him. And say it in a way where the person next to you can hear you, so that if they've
forgotten when they hear you say it, you'll remind them inshallah, and you'll get the reward of
yourself and the person that you reminded, and so sending some lots upon the Prophet Salama, while

00:01:42 --> 00:02:32
			he was alive when he we hear his name is so important. Right, a loss of Panama data in the Quran
says that Allah and the angel send peace and blessings upon the Prophet, O you who believe send
peace and blessings upon the Prophet SAW Allah, there are countless narrations where the prophets on
the left I need to send talks about the virtues of sending Salah lots upon him. And he also talks
about how miserly the person is who hears his name and doesn't send the watts upon himself, Allahu
Allah, he was sent. And so inshallah tonight I want to discuss the mindfulness of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wasallam. So what's mindfulness? mindfulness has been this recent buzzword that

00:02:32 --> 00:03:28
			we've been hearing a lot of people talk about, we've been seeing it on magazines, a lot of Instagram
posts, and, you know, blogs and articles about it. And it's recently gained this popularity, mainly
due to the recent research around mindfulness, the research suggesting how beneficial and
transformative mindfulness is the seemingly simple practice of mindfulness. But what is mindfulness?
Simply stated, mindfulness is just an awareness. Mindfulness is the practice of purposefully
focusing your attention on the present moment, not thinking about something from the past, and not
worrying about something in the future, just living in the present, right now.

00:03:30 --> 00:04:26
			And it seems like that's something that we're already doing, like sister Denise, why are you going
to talk about mindfulness, we're all sitting here and we're all present. Well, two psychologists at
Harvard recently did a study, and they found that our minds wander, we are not mindful for about 47%
of the time. Think about that. We live about half of our lives, not living in the present moment,
either thinking about something else, something from the past or something from the future. And
mindfulness has so many positive benefits. Research suggests that practicing mindfulness improves
not only your mental health, but also your physical health.

00:04:27 --> 00:04:59
			practicing mindfulness improves things like your stress levels, it lowers your stress levels. It
reduces harmful ruminating patterns, increases happiness. It protects us against anxiety and
depression. Research even suggests that people who practice mindfulness are better able to cope with
life's tragedies. And some studies suggest that the main element of happiness which is

00:05:00 --> 00:05:55
			One thing that all of us want is mindfulness. In order to become happy, we have to master this skill
of mindfulness. Mindfulness even affects our relationship satisfaction. Several studies suggest that
a person's ability to be mindful can help predict their relationship satisfaction in the future. But
more importantly, practicing mindfulness is good for our spiritual well being for athletes, by
practicing the mindfulness of a loss of Hana with time, but we didn't need all of these recent
studies to tell us the importance and the value of mindfulness. We didn't need all of these studies
to persuade us to practice mindfulness to be more mindful. Mindfulness was the practice of the

00:05:55 --> 00:06:45
			Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and that's why I'm talking about it tonight. And that's why
we're going to learn about it and in sha Allah, that's why we're going to start implementing it in
our lives. Allah Subhana Allah says, In concern to Hebron, Allah fichter beone with canola. If you
really love Allah subhana wa Tada. Then follow the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and Allah
will love you and forgive your sins. And so that's why we are learning about mindfulness. And our
beloved Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he was mindful and present. He was not only mindful and
present with Allah subhanho wa Taala. He was mindful of himself. He was mindful of those around him.

00:06:45 --> 00:06:54
			He was mindful of things even inanimate objects. He was mindful of animals, he was mindful of the
angels.

00:06:55 --> 00:07:44
			And Allah subhanaw taala from his infinite mercy and His generosity sent to us. Our Prophet Muhammad
SAW Allah Hi, Leo Salah, who he said about him, some will love it was Ella locker, the Candela Kofi
rasulillah he was sweating Hasina, that there has most certainly there's no doubt about it, that in
the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is an excellent example and role model. And so we
have to follow the Prophet sauce and not just in the length of the beard for the brothers, not just
in the way he dressed, so the La Jolla center, but also in his other practices like this one. And so
one of the beautiful characteristics that the prophet SAW Sam embodied was mindfulness. And

00:07:44 --> 00:08:01
			inshallah I want to share with you five categories on mindfulness from the center of our beloved
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and it looks like you guys forgot so I'm gonna remind you
because the reminder benefits the believer when I say Prophet, you say, someone Mobileye the USM

00:08:03 --> 00:08:35
			So number one, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was mindful of you. Yes, you, every single
one of you in this room. And every single one of you watching us on zoom, I shall be more on her
says that one time, the prophets lanson entered the house, and he had a cheerful face, he looked
happy. And so she said, I wanted to take advantage of the fact that the prophet SAW Sam was happy.
So she said Yana sulamani, for me,

00:08:36 --> 00:08:48
			pray for me. So he said, Oh, Allah forgive all of us. It's just since her past and her future sins,
the ones that she did in secret and the ones that she did in public.

00:08:49 --> 00:09:28
			And could you imagine how he said there'll be a lot and have felt in that moment? Imagine the
Prophet sallallahu ease and making Allah forgives all your sins, your sack, right? Isn't that our
greatest mission in life, our greatest goal in life is for lost contact, forgive us. And so she got
so happy, she laughed, and she fell into the lap of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and so
the Prophet sallallaahu It sounds like yeah, Isha is my job to make you happy? And she said, of
course, yes. It makes me so happy. And listen to what he said.

00:09:30 --> 00:09:43
			He said, by a law, he swore. This is my supplication for every member of my nation in every one of
my prayers,

00:09:44 --> 00:09:48
			the prophets on a centimeter for you in all of his prayers.

00:09:49 --> 00:09:54
			Look at how much he loves you. How mindful he was of you.

00:09:55 --> 00:09:59
			And think about it. Have you even made that for yourself?

00:10:00 --> 00:10:41
			And every single one of your prayers, think about the times you prayed in a fitting room. And you're
like so nervous because you're hoping the lady doesn't come and say Excuse me, ma'am. Are you okay
in there? Or think about the times you've prayed out work in a corner hoping that nobody comes in
Bob doesn't open the door and go, what's this guy doing? Or think about the times you delayed your
prayer, there was only a few minutes left until the next prayer. So you prayed super quick, right?
But the prophet SAW said, he remembered you and every prayer, the Prophet sallallahu lucidum even
was mindful of you. And he even thought of you he even missed you. He even wished to meet you. So

00:10:41 --> 00:11:20
			one day, the Sahaba said that we noticed that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was visibly
sad. And so they, they were looking at him wondering, why is he so sad? And then he started
speaking, and he said, I wish I could see and I could meet my brothers. They said, you have a cinema
Hello, right here. And he said, No, no, no, you're my companions. My brothers are those who will
come after me. And they never met me. They never saw me. But they believe in me. Imagine the prophet
SAW sent him wish he longs to meet you. And then a really, really long narration

00:11:21 --> 00:12:13
			from from Anna, Sylvia Lola and who This one shows how much the promises and was mindful of us, and
how much he truly loved us. And every time I think of this, my heart melts. And it's actually one of
the motivations that brought me to see that intention. Just thinking about the prophet SAW Selim,
and how much he loved us. And how could I not spend a week learning about him hearing his name over
and over and over again. And so because it's a really well, narration, I'm going to paraphrase it
and condense it just a bit. So the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam said that on the Day of
Judgment, the believers will be waiting and waiting, and it will be so long, right? It's such a long

00:12:13 --> 00:13:08
			way that the believers will become worried. And so they'll start talking to each other. And they'll
say, why don't we do something? Why don't we ask someone to intercede for us? And so they say, Yes,
let's go. And let's ask Adam it Sam to intercede for us so that we're relieved that this distress.
And so they go to Adam alayhis salaam and they say, you know, you're Adam, you're the father of all
mankind, Allah subhanho created you with his own hand. Why don't you go and intercede for us? And
ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to end this day of judgment and to just enter into Jenna and Adam and
Islam says no, I can't do it. It's not me. Go ask someone else go ask new so they all run to new

00:13:08 --> 00:13:54
			Hanny's and they say oh no, you know you are the Prophet that Allah subhana wa tada granted such
great virtue to why don't you go and intercede for us? And know how they Sam says, No, I can't do
it. Go ask it but again, he's highly rock man. And so they go and they go to Abraham and he said,
and they say, Abraham, you know, please intercede with Allah subhanho wa Taala so that we don't have
to stand in this day. It's so long so we could just go to Jenna and Ibrahim and a Sam says, No, not
me. Go to Masonic Salah, his own spoke to Allah. So they go to Sally Silla and they go yamasa please
go intercede to Allah subhanaw taala and habits just enter agenda. We're really really tired of this

00:13:54 --> 00:14:08
			day. And Sandy stem says no, I can't go to a Sally center. And so they go to a Sally salon and they
ask him and he says the same thing. He says I can't do it. Go to Mohammed Salah Wiley, his son.

00:14:10 --> 00:14:14
			And so they go to Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu center.

00:14:15 --> 00:14:59
			And prophet muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says that I will ask my Lord for permission to
enter his presence and I will be granted permission. And then he says when I see a loss of
candidates Allah I will fall down into frustration beforehand. And I will stay in frustration for as
long as the last path I will and the loss of habitat will teach the prophets I send him that he's
never praised him before with and then Allah subhana wa tada will sell the Prophet sallallahu Sallam
said I'm on Mohammed to lift your head and speak for you will be listened to and intercede for your
intercession will be accepted and

00:15:00 --> 00:15:03
			Ask for anything whatever you ask for will be granted.

00:15:05 --> 00:15:06
			Now think about it.

00:15:08 --> 00:15:11
			She could ask for anything. Right?

00:15:13 --> 00:15:14
			What does he ask for?

00:15:16 --> 00:15:20
			Thinking about you? He goes and he says, Yeah, don't be my own Mama.

00:15:22 --> 00:15:24
			Oh my Lord, my nation, my followers.

00:15:26 --> 00:15:30
			And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says that

00:15:31 --> 00:15:40
			Allah subhanho wa Taala will tell him that he's allowed to go and find the members of his oma and
enter them into paradise.

00:15:42 --> 00:15:54
			The Prophet sasm says that he will enter he will go and take the people out of the Hellfire that
followed him and enter them into paradise. Think about that.

00:15:56 --> 00:16:03
			The prophet SAW Center, the gatekeepers agenda are only allowed to open the gates agenda for Prophet
Mohammed.

00:16:04 --> 00:16:05
			Visit authentic narration.

00:16:07 --> 00:16:30
			Think about all the hardship he went through. In the 23 years he was a prophet. Think about all the
persecution think about all the abuse emotional and physical. Think about the fact that they made
him believe right should have done was gonna talk about that. What happened that

00:16:31 --> 00:16:49
			his legs a lot more bleeding. And what happens in the battles when his face salicylate is bleeding
and his teeth are broken. Think about all the pain he went through. Doesn't he deserve to just go to
Jenna, and enjoy Jenna?

00:16:51 --> 00:17:02
			Couldn't he have just said I'm done. I did what I needed to do. I'm gonna go enjoy Jenna. But he
doesn't want to enjoy Jenna without.

00:17:04 --> 00:17:18
			And so he goes back to Allah Subhana Allah And does that goes into such depth and asks Allah three
times until he goes, and he gets everybody who followed him out of the hellfire.

00:17:20 --> 00:17:30
			And the narration says he'll take everybody out except those that the core and imprison, meaning
those who are destined to stay in

00:17:33 --> 00:17:43
			the profits loss I was mindful of you. In an authentic narration. The prophet SAW Sam said that
every prophet has a supplication that's answered.

00:17:44 --> 00:17:48
			And I intend to delay my answer

00:17:49 --> 00:17:53
			for the day of judgment to intercede on behalf of my nation.

00:17:54 --> 00:18:09
			The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was also mindful of the loss of Python, of course number
two, but I wanted to start with his mindfulness of you. So then shot law, you could really listen
with your heart

00:18:10 --> 00:19:01
			and really appreciate the Prophet sallallahu. It was sent. So he was mindful of Allah subhanaw
taala. Of course, who's already the one who said that I asked the prophet SAW Selim for some advice.
And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, I advise you to be mindful of Allah subhanho wa
Taala for it and beautify all of your affairs. Right? And look at how mindful the prophets on the
love it was of Allah azza wa jal, when he would wake up in the morning and open his eyes, the first
thing he did was mentioned a lot. He would say 100 and then let the new burden emerge anyway, Ed in
a short and hounded inland and the rod de la yo, hey, we're adding an EP that there are so many,

00:19:02 --> 00:19:46
			that the prophets also would say, when he would wake up, the first thing he thought of was Allah
subhanaw taala and remembering Allah, and then he would use Miss Slack, being mindful of a lot and
the angels, right, the angels don't like bad smells, using them as slack to purify his mouth, so the
logo and he was alone. And then when he would put on his clothes, he was mindful of Allah subhanaw
taala. And he was so mindful and present, which is amazing that there's a different day for when you
just wear your clothes than when we wear something new. When he would put on clothes that was new.
He would say, how did you learn that? Because I mean, what does he mean?

00:19:48 --> 00:19:59
			When he would wear something new he was so present and so aware, so mindful, he would say along this
Luca fader had the higher I'm assuming Well, I was

00:20:00 --> 00:20:45
			becaming Shall we have a surliness in Panama? The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would
mindfully leave his home and he would say Bismillah to Kato, Allah, Allah, Allah hella La quwata
illa Allah. And the Prophet Hassan said that whoever says this, when they leave their home, it will
be set to them. You have been sufficed and protected and the devils will be far from you. The
prophet SAW Salah was so mindful that when he would enter the masjid, he would enter with his right
foot. Imagine he's so present in the moment that he's thinking about which foot is going to enter
the masjid with and he would say, well entering along with any of our magic, and when he would leave

00:20:45 --> 00:21:30
			the masjid, he would say alumnus eloquent and felt like he remembered Allah subhanaw taala and was
mindful of a las panatela in all of his circumstances. You know, there are so many as God of the
prophet SAW Selim for different things. It's so beautiful. Mm hmm. neverwet Rahim Allah, He compiled
in this very beautiful book, a lot of the earth God that the prophecy has ended in his book, and as
God we cannot say abroad, and it's such a beautiful book, because there's like nothing that can
happen, except that there's a draft of the Prophet sallallahu Aeneas, and that means that in all
circumstances, the prophet SAW said, I'm thinking about a loss of habitat, thinking about what he

00:21:30 --> 00:22:22
			can say, to remember Allah subhanho wa Taala. He was so present that he even was present when it was
difficult to be present and mindful of Allah, one of the most difficult times to remember a loss of
kind of data is in the mall, in the market. Try it. I do it all the time. I go into the mall, and
I'm like, I'm going to make a big kit. And then I see the shoes. And that thought goes out in my
head. And I'm like, Oh, I see that. Or I see the person is right. And the prophet SAW said he was so
mindful that even in the marketplace who would make the good and he wanted to teach us this
mindfulness practice that he incentivizes us so much to recite, for the marketplace that he gives

00:22:22 --> 00:22:33
			such a great reward. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that whoever enters the
marketplace and says, let you know hey, Lola, Sherry color

00:22:34 --> 00:23:01
			will handle you he will you meet the ideal Pharaoh who Allah condition and Claudia will get 1
million good deeds. Imagine. And then in another narration, the prophet is awesome said Allah will
wipe 1 million bad deeds from their record and elevate them a million degrees in virtue. And in one
narration, Allah will build for them a palace in Jeddah.

00:23:02 --> 00:23:52
			So think about it, the prophet SAW said and is trying to teach us to be mindful of Allah subhanaw
taala when it's most difficult, and what's interesting about this narration is that psychologists
have found that the people who are most emotionally healthy are able to be mindful in difficult
times, right. And so the profits of the love audio center is incentivizing us is giving us this huge
reward in order to teach us mindfulness during difficult times during the mop. So perhaps next time,
when we're at the mall, or when we're grocery shopping, and maybe we're standing in line, instead of
grabbing our phone and mindlessly scrolling, we can take a few moments to make some vacant site

00:23:52 --> 00:24:34
			lists that some other companions used to actually go into the marketplace without an intention to
buy anything, and they would just make a vicar. They would literally just go there and make the
game. And they would say and so people would notice like you're coming to the market, you're not
buying anything, you're not selling anything. They would say we want to make a vacation in a place
and be mindful of a lawn a place where most people are not mindful of him. So panda with that, and
there are so many countless examples of how the prophet SAW said was mindful of a loss of data and
remembered in all circumstances, the prophet SAW son was mindful in his salon. Right? And he

00:24:34 --> 00:24:51
			instructed ns lobby level. Now you know who ns is NSS someone who spent 10 years of his life serving
the prophets I send them he was like another child to the Prophet five, send them and look at his
advice to ns.

00:24:53 --> 00:24:54
			He says all my son

00:24:56 --> 00:24:59
			be aware of being distracted in the prayer

00:25:00 --> 00:25:12
			For a distraction in the prayer is a cause of ruin. So be mindful in your prayer. And we know that
the Prophet son lives that was the most mindful in his prayer. Right?

00:25:13 --> 00:25:19
			cultivating and so a lot of people ask me, you know, sister Dania, how can we have more mindfulness
in our prayer?

00:25:20 --> 00:25:31
			Whatever you practice grows, if you can practice mindfulness, outside of prayer, inshallah it will
pour over inside of prayer.

00:25:32 --> 00:25:37
			One of the ways that the process and practice mindfulness as well was while he was eating,

00:25:38 --> 00:25:58
			he was very intentional in his eating, he would eat with his right hand, using his three fingers, he
would start with Bismillah, he would end with a very powerful, he would say to him did imagine that
the apartment he had that what is happening human at hand, in many ways.

00:26:00 --> 00:26:11
			All Praise and Gratitude is due to Allah subhanaw taala, who fed me this, and there was no power or
weight that came from me. Think about the food that you eat.

00:26:14 --> 00:27:05
			I think you guys had burgers for lunch today. Can you imagine how long it took for the week to grow,
and how Allah had to send rain and sun so that that wheat plant can grow, and how someone had to
harvest that wheat and dry the wheat. And then they had to grind the wheat. And think about the cow
and how it had to be born and graze for several years until it became older. And think about how the
tomato grew. And think about the meanings that was in it and how it required eggs, and how a chicken
needed to lay an egg and they had to go and get the egg and mix it with oil. Just think about all of
these things, right? And think about how Allah Subhana Allah made it so easy for you to just have it

00:27:05 --> 00:27:06
			right there in front of you.

00:27:07 --> 00:27:37
			And that's how the Prophet says and he was mindful of his eating, right. And so being mindful when
you be putting food in your mouth and telling yourself I'm not going to sit there and eat with my
phone in my hand. I'm going to savor every taste, what do I taste, being present while you're
eating, when you're present while you're eating. It'll become easier for you to be present and other
things. And honestly, being present while you eat is one of the more easier ways to be present and
mindful.

00:27:38 --> 00:28:06
			And so if you can do that in sha Allah, you'll be able to grow on that practice. The Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, could ever performs will do like my window and offers to regard
bowing, the same way that I bow without while they're mindful without being distracted, all their
previous sins will be forgiven. That's how important it is to be mindful in our right profits on the
law holidays cinemas, mindful in his day,

00:28:09 --> 00:28:54
			when he would make the heart to lie, he was so present above the line who said that the prophet SAW
Selim said to call upon a law with certainty, and He will answer you and know that Allah will not
answer this application of a heart that is unmindful. That's distracted and so today inshallah make
the intention to revive this beautiful sunset being mindful and remembering the Las panatela in all
of our circumstances. And being mindful of Allah subhanaw taala will grant you not only success in
this life, not only all the benefits that psychologists and modern research have found, but it will
also grant you the ultimate success in the hereafter in sha Allah.

00:28:56 --> 00:28:58
			Number two,

00:28:59 --> 00:29:13
			this, being mindful of your feelings, and this is a beautiful one, that when I read about the
Prophet sallallahu, inseminate, he noticed how mindful he was in his feelings. I thought it was just
so amazing.

00:29:14 --> 00:29:40
			The Sahaba said that they went with the Prophet sallallahu to send them to a blacksmith whose name
is Abu safe. And he was the husband of the wet nurse of the Prophet son Ibrahim. And the prophet SAW
Selim walked in and he held the Brahim and he smelled him. And while he was holding him, he noticed
that Abraham was having a hard time breathing. He was gasping for air.

00:29:41 --> 00:29:44
			The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam started tearing

00:29:46 --> 00:29:59
			the Sahaba specifically, Abdullah had been Alfa Laval line who when he saw the promises on tearing,
he started kind of judging him like wait Yes, like you're crying what you're a man like quiet

00:30:00 --> 00:30:27
			Crying they gave us one. What is this? And the prophet SAW Some said, Oh, even if it's a mercy, as
the Prophet son continued to cry, and Ibrahim took his last breaths and died in his arms. And when
Abraham died, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said in the lane I had an hour, followed by one
and a call in manner up Robin, were in there before Raka Ibrahim.

00:30:28 --> 00:31:17
			He said, The eyes are shedding tears, and the heart is so sad. He was so aware of his feelings, and
he was able to verbalize that. Now in psychology, we know that that's actually a really important
skill to have to be aware of your emotions and to be able to verbalize it. And the process our son
did it right there. And then he said, we won't say that except which pleases Our Lord, and over him
indeed are grieved by our separation. And so the prophet SAW some didn't judge his emotions. The
prophet SAW the love values, and then he taught the Sahaba that it was okay to have these feelings
and he was aware, and there are so many of emotions, the profit loss I was mindful of is stealing.

00:31:17 --> 00:32:02
			And he turned those emotions, those feelings into prayers, he directed his feelings to Allah
subhanaw taala. And he used his pain to get closer to Allah. So again, like for example, the process
of there's a beautiful that when you feeling distress, when the prophet SAW said I was distressed he
would say alarm or had to get out you fanatic. You need an NFC tag for dial or a snacknation equals
11. And he would recognize what he was feeling was another beautiful day, the Prophet sallallahu
sallam, it's actually my favorite drugs. He would say it when he was sad sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam, you would recognize that he was sad, right? And he would know what to do about it. He would

00:32:02 --> 00:32:43
			it's how to distract the pain. You know, when we're sad when we're overwhelmed, the first thing we
do is grab our phone and start scrolling. The prophet SAW said and sat with his pain is mindful of
it beautiful that were when he was sad he would say along in the active hypnotic ignore MSA ignacia

offers me with a

00:32:45 --> 00:33:00
			lot. I mean, the prophet SAW Salah was also mindful of the feelings of others, which is such a
beautiful thing that that we've forgotten where we are just so keep us about those around us, you
know.

00:33:01 --> 00:33:32
			And he was saying love the Allahu anhu, the grandson of the prophet SAW center, he had a really bad
stutter as a child. It was really, really bad. And one day the Prophet sallallaahu Senna was sitting
with the companions. And he was saying that at the level and who was trying to say something to the
prophet SAW sound, but he kept stuttering. And it was so bad that he couldn't verbalize what he was
saying. The Sahaba were kind of looking at each other and they were like, it was awkward, right?

00:33:34 --> 00:33:49
			And look at how mindful the Prophet says that was. Could you imagine how bad that feels. If you're a
child around the whole bunch of adults and you're trying to say something and you can't and they're
all looking at you weird. So look at what the prophet SAW said that he was mindful of that.

00:33:50 --> 00:34:34
			He was mindful of his saints feelings. He said, you inherited this from your uncle prophet Mousavi
seven because he was having some kind of stuttering. So he's mindful of his feelings. He didn't want
his feelings to be hurt. So he said, No, no, you this is not bad. You have something from your uncle
prophet. And inside the center. He was mindful of the feelings of other his mindful of the feelings
of his wives. Right. It's a beautiful narration where Sophia Vila on her she was short. And one day
they were going on an expedition and so they grabbed the small camel for her to ride because she was
small is petite. And when she saw that, I guess it triggered her because tears started falling down

00:34:34 --> 00:34:59
			from her face. The prophet SAW someone he saw that he ran to her and he started wiping her tears. Is
it What's wrong? Why are you crying? And she's like, they always give me the short Campbell. And he
didn't judge her and say, it's not a big deal. You're so emotional. You're so sensitive. He didn't
do that. He said, he just called the companions. He's like, I want you guys to get me the biggest
camera y'all have. He bought the biggest candle for you.

00:35:00 --> 00:35:16
			So here you go. He was mindful of other people's feelings. And he taught us to be mindful of
people's feelings, too. He said, when you were three people, two of you should whisper and leave the
other person out.

00:35:18 --> 00:35:42
			And so I can imagine the Sahaba sitting there like Why? Why would Why would it be? Why wouldn't we
be allowed to do that? And he said, Somoza, because that will make the third person sad. It'll make
them feel left out. Right. And so we have to be mindful of other people's feelings. The next thing
that the Prophet celsa was mindful of, he was mindful of those around him. Right.

00:35:44 --> 00:36:32
			So Pamela, it's one of the most beautiful for that. And soon as of our time, we are so distracted,
we're distracted by our phones, by our smartwatches by the TVs that are plastered everywhere, the
music that's always in the background, everywhere we go, that we don't give the people were around
or attention. Right. We don't even look up when we're talking to our loved ones. And I think that's
one of the biggest problems that we have, especially, you know, doing marriage and family therapy,
one of the things that I've seen most of my couples is that they just long for their spouses
attention. And we're just so distracted.

00:36:33 --> 00:36:46
			You know, I was trained to be very observant. And one of the saddest things is when I go out for
dinner, and I look around, and I see this,

00:36:47 --> 00:37:29
			the entire table, so the entire family will be sitting at a restaurant waiting for their dinner to
come. And they'll all be like this. And then when the food comes, the phone will go from their right
hand to their left hand because they need their right hand to eat. And they'll eat with the right
hand and scroll with the left, right. And they're not present. They don't even take the time to look
at their family members to talk to their family members. And so the profits on our mother leaves and
and he was so present with those around him. He would tell her, he showed me alone. I know when
you're happy with me. And I know when you're not happy with me that she would say how do you know

00:37:29 --> 00:38:14
			that? And he would say when you're happy with me, you say by the Lord of Mohammed, for the love of
yourself. And when you're not happy with me when you're upset, you would say by the Lord of Ibrahim,
help present does a husband has to be to notice something so subtle, right that he sallallahu Sallam
was present. He noticed that he was looking outside the window. She didn't have to say anything he
goes up to he says Yeah, sure. Do you want to watch the atmosphere? Right? He said Allah Neeson was
present and mindful. He was even mindful with children. And I think these are the people that get
the least amount of our mindfulness. we dismiss most children, but the Prophet the son did not write

00:38:14 --> 00:38:18
			this beautiful narration of Bashir. So after one of the expeditions,

00:38:20 --> 00:39:00
			it was a custom that the children of Medina, when they would see the soldiers coming back from the
expedition, they would run to the outskirts of Medina and wait for them at the entrance of the city
to welcome their fathers and their brothers and their uncles and their grandparents, their
grandfathers and whatever. Right. And so the prophet SAW Allah, the sound was always at the back to
make sure that everybody else went in first. And so everybody else went in and Bashir is sitting
there looking and he climbs up in Iraq, and he's looking and he's looking and he's looking at he's
looking at everybody comes back in. And then he realizes the profit comes coming to that mean, my

00:39:00 --> 00:39:39
			dad's not coming back. My dad died. My dad was a Shaheed, and so he's crying. The profits as you
could imagine, he's tired. He wants to go back to his family. He sees Bashir crying, and he comes up
to him and he says, What's wrong? Why are you crying? He goes, Yeah, I was Sula. I was waiting here
for my father and everybody came back, but my father didn't come back. And so the prophecies have
held him to crust him. And he kept crying. And he said, Would it not give you some solace, some
comfort that I'm your father, and that you shall be our mother? Right? You're so mindful even of
children.

00:39:40 --> 00:39:55
			panela I don't think I have a lot of time. So I'm going to skip a few of the narrations I wanted to
share and go with the last narration of five the similar Be mindful of the good. The prophet SAW Sam
was very mindful of

00:39:56 --> 00:39:59
			the good around him. And that's something that we're

00:40:00 --> 00:40:38
			Least mindful up. Did you ever notice we always focus a notice on everything wrong, and not what's
right? If you go on like Yelp, or the other day this yesterday, right, so the sisters, were talking
to me about the amount of complaints that we get versus the amount of like, compliments, right?
Because we folk we tend to look for and focus on the bad, but the promises of did the exact
opposite, he was very mindful of the good. And it's really interesting that research suggests that
we miss about 70% of the good things that happen in our day.

00:40:39 --> 00:40:49
			And we miss about 70 to 80% of the good things that other people do for us. So they did some
research where they did a study where they created like,

00:40:50 --> 00:41:30
			this really cute apartment for couples, and they put cameras in it. And they gave a couple little
devices and they told them every time you notice that your spouse does something good for you, we
just want you to click the button. Just click it. And so they're watching them on the cameras and
through the class. And they notice that the average husband and wife miss about 70 to 80% of the
good things that their spouse does for them. So for example, their spouse will grab make them their
coffee in the morning and hand it to them and they didn't click the button they just completely
missed that they weren't mindful of it right. And with the prophet SAW sound, he was so mindful, he

00:41:30 --> 00:42:20
			was so mindful of the good. And gratitude comes from mindfulness and we know a really important part
of our relationship with Allah subhanaw taala with our Deen is the is gratitude. Right? Being
grateful to us kind of talent, but you can't be grateful to us pathetic, you're not mindful and
heedlessness is what brings in gratitude. When you're heedless of the blessings of a lesson. That's
when you become an angry and that's very, very, very dangerous. Because Allah subhanaw taala calls
in gratitude kufr right, so let's Ibrahim, what is to enter a book of Lenin Shackleton as he then
Nakhon one in cafard tune in at Abbey the Shetty.

00:42:21 --> 00:43:08
			And when your Lord proclaimed, if you are grateful, I will surely increase you in everything right?
He left it open. He didn't say in that. And then he said and if you're ungrateful, my punishment is
severe. And so how can we be grateful? Is it for mindful of the good? The profits also was a master
of catching people do something good, and praising them for it? The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam was so grateful of all the many blessings of Allah subhana wa Tada. You know, it's something
so beautiful. One day the Prophet sallallahu Sallam said to Abu Abu Musab, if only you saw me when I
was listening to your recitation last night.

00:43:10 --> 00:43:16
			And then he prays that he said, you are given a sweet voice, like the voice of that without a
center.

00:43:17 --> 00:43:23
			Right? And then he is probably just walking by, and other muscles in his house reciting Quran.

00:43:24 --> 00:43:43
			But the prophet son was mindful, he noticed and heard his voice. He wasn't just mindful of that. He
was mindful the next day when he saw him, to praise him to motivate him, right? Because sometimes
all you need is a little bit of motivation and you'll keep doing more.

00:43:44 --> 00:44:23
			The process was so positive, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he was able to savor the good,
right? When he ate something that he liked. He was grateful for him. When he saw something that
pleases Him. He would say to him that when he did something good, he was at hamdulillah hymnody been
at MIT to to solly hats. And even when something that didn't really please have or that seemed bad
happened, he said hamdulillah luckily had ungrateful in all situations. prophesied Selim was mindful
so he became grateful.

00:44:25 --> 00:44:59
			So mindfulness is about making a conscious choice, putting in that extra energy and effort. And
remember, whatever you practice on grows, so if you make the intention right now to become more
mindful, you can do that today. inshallah tonight when you have dinner, put your phone away and be
mindful of what you're eating. Think about what flavors you taste what you smell. Think about what
thoughts are coming across your mind and be present with them.

00:45:00 --> 00:45:22
			And then you can expand that to in the morning when you wake up, being mindful instead of the first
thing, grabbing your phone to check your notifications to check if you got anyone you likes on
Instagram, leave your phone for a few minutes and follow in the footsteps of the prophets of Allah
when he was sending up and start with the US got handed anala the hand

00:45:23 --> 00:46:05
			and there's something there's a beautiful center that a lot of people don't know the profits on the
lower limbs and with in the morning when you would wake up recite the last 10 out of school attendee
Emraan I have a whole class on the set and how these 10 as her pillars of emotional wellness and how
the process I'm did this every single morning. And so perhaps that can be a new, you know center
that you implement in your life as well reciting the lesson as soon as adding in a few focus
Otherwise, you will have the Aussie laughing lady when the 30 to 80 meet with an elbow and levena is
gonna love him and walk around and valeggio vm later for Corona to focus on it when Robin Anahata

00:46:05 --> 00:46:07
			heard about it and sapan

00:46:08 --> 00:46:13
			until the last is the wasabi love to talk about her lack of sleep.

00:46:15 --> 00:47:00
			Me. And so if you want to learn a little bit more about the Datsun Scott, there is the book by him
in a way it's an Arabic And as common courtesy. If you don't know Arabic heslin was sent as
translated. There's also the NY da. So really awesome app. It has a lot of the escar. And you'll
notice and you'll see that the process on how to do that for everything. So that means he was
present and what he was doing. He didn't just he wasn't just an auto pilot, right? He didn't just
live life like a zombie kind of like what we do. We're just rushing from one thing to another not
really thinking about it. So I asked God I pray that Allah subhana wa tada forgives all of our sins,

00:47:01 --> 00:47:04
			that he exchanges our sins for good deeds,

00:47:05 --> 00:47:13
			that He grants us a Toba that after we will return to those sins I ask Allah subhana wa tada the
same way that he gathered us here

00:47:14 --> 00:47:19
			that he gathers us with the prophets of Allah Hadi send them the highest level of

00:47:22 --> 00:47:23
			fear and laughter that weren't

00:47:24 --> 00:47:28
			with me and also what were some of the you know, the How

00:47:30 --> 00:47:32
			does alcohol affect us and where they come from.
