00:00:01 --> 00:00:20
			Bismillah Rahim al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen wa Salatu was Salam ala l mursaleen Nabina Muhammad
Ali of Manas Salatu automata asleep of the Shockley Sati way acidity and the Dr. Millis Ania. Gabor
Kohli, my brothers and sisters in Islam as said, Mr. alikum warahmatu, live warahmatullahi
wabarakatu.

00:00:23 --> 00:00:29
			Now I know for the few of you that are here early, you probably noticed that I come in and I sit
down and I wait until eight o'clock.

00:00:30 --> 00:00:34
			I tend to be someone who's pretty particular with time. So

00:00:35 --> 00:00:48
			if I say I'm going to start at eight, I don't like to start before eight because someone might come,
you know, a little bit on time, or they might be exactly here eight o'clock and say, well, you
started early. So I don't like to do that.

00:00:50 --> 00:01:15
			We left off yesterday in the middle of sort of hood. And we will continue today from verses 25 of
soda hood onwards. We're supposed to be beginning at verse number 50 of Surah Hood, but we'll just
go over the story, the story of nor Allah His setup, in that sutra, and then we will cover the
entire sort of use of as well as the first 18 verses of surah to light.

00:01:16 --> 00:01:28
			So we begin with verses 25 to 49 of soda. Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us the story of nor Allah
His son Adam here in this part of the Quran.

00:01:29 --> 00:02:11
			And of course it is the sutra known as houde. But in the surah Allah subhana wa Adana talks about
prophet who the alayhis salam Salam Alaikum Salaam, new Hallo Hassan Ibrahim alayhis salam Leute
alayhis salam so there's a few of the prophets of Allah subhanho wa Taala that are discussed here in
the surah to begin in these verses 25 to 49 Allah subhanho wa Taala discusses the story of Noah
Hannah his setup. Now remember yesterday we were talking about Allah subhanho wa Taala looking after
the creation in the beginning of Surah Hood, and Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us that our attitude
or our behavior changes based on our circumstances. And here Allah subhana wa tada highlights the

00:02:11 --> 00:02:40
			story of new alayhis salam, the prophet of Allah subhanho wa Taala that was tested with his people
for 950 years, 950 years he called his people to the oneness of Allah Subhana Allah to Allah. And
that was because they began something that was never done before that they were the very first
nation to start worshipping idols. It was never ever done before. Prophet new Hyundai has set up

00:02:42 --> 00:02:57
			and this is approximately 10 generations after the time of Adam Allah has set out so 10 generations
after the beginning of the creation of Adam and how however, and their placement here on Earth.

00:02:59 --> 00:03:39
			So Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us in verses number 25 to 49 the importance of worshiping a lot and
none other than Allah subhanho wa Taala now we know the story of Noah Hannah has said I'm fairly
well, but Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us a few really interesting things here in this part of the
the sutra. Now no, Hannah has sat down, he's calling his people away from worshipping these idols.
And this is something that like we said, it's never been done before. So now you know, he was faced
with a challenge that no other prophet had, you know, been faced with. And in fact, us as human
beings, when we look at trying to call others to worship Allah subhanho wa Taala Hannah and pull

00:03:39 --> 00:04:19
			them away from worshipping idols, we look at the examples of the people that came before us the
prophets and messengers, the Sahaba of the Allahu anhu on the Tabby our own, you know, those that
went through through difficult moments with either their family members, relatives or people in
general and calling them away from worshipping the idols to worshiping Allah subhanho wa Taala alone
but no Allah Hassan has no one to look back at. He has no you know, previous examples to take to
learn from in order to try and figure out how to deal with his people. So Alhamdulillah This is a
blessing that we have for ourselves that a lot of the people have, sorry, a lot of a lot of the time

00:04:19 --> 00:04:42
			when we study these stories, we don't realize the hardships and the difficulties of some of the
prophets of Allah subhana wa Tana and what they went through in order to call their loved ones. And
I say that on purpose their loved ones to Allah subhanho wa Taala because no hana has sent him he
had you know, the task of also inviting his family members to stay away from worshipping idols.

00:04:44 --> 00:04:50
			So we see in verse number 25, why nakada ottosson number one in a commie

00:04:53 --> 00:04:59
			movie in a letter boo

00:05:00 --> 00:05:48
			In Lhamo in Miami, Florida, a kumada binyomin, any name, Allah subhanho wa Taala tells them that,
you know, if you don't worship Allah Subhana Allah to Allah and you don't listen to what I'm calling
you towards, indeed, I fear for you a punishment of a painful day. And we know that their punishment
was, you know, something that was really different and well known to all of us the floods. If we
move on to verse number 41, I want to highlight something here in the story of Nora alayhis, salaam,
verse number 41, Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us a verse which is known. In fact, you know, before
we even get into that, let me just highlight a little bit of the story of nor Hannah has sent me

00:05:48 --> 00:06:26
			because I know we've discussed it before. But just to highlight a few things. know Allah has sent
and is told by Allah subhanho wa Taala, to build the ark, after calling his people for so many
years, and you know, many of them, in fact, the majority of them were not believing. And it came to
a point in time where the amount that we're following knew highly his Salaam had reached its
Pinnacle, and was starting to diminish. So at that point in time, no, Hana has Sam, he calls out to
Allah Subhana, WA to Hana. And he asks him for, you know, guidance, assistance, etc. And he tells
you know, how to his salon, build the ark, build the ship. And so he begins to build the ship. Now,

00:06:26 --> 00:06:54
			the ship that he builds was shaped more like a submarine. It was long, it was, you know, wide, and
it was of three different levels. And it was covered on top. And that was because the floods that
came afterwards, were so severe, that some handler, it was a blessing to have a ship that was shaped
like a submarine that was completely sealed off and closed off. There was a door that is said to
have been on the side of it. There were three different levels within the ship.

00:06:55 --> 00:07:33
			And the loss of Hannah, who Allah commanded him to build something that he had no knowledge of, he
was not a carpenter. Right. He was not someone that knew how to build ships. And today, some handle
on when we look at it, we look at the technology that we use in you know, shipbuilding, our time,
and what took place at his time. So Pamela, they didn't know if they were going to float. But they
did. They ended up floating a loss of pan which Allah commanded him to build this, he builds it, and
he has the help of the angels. And every single piece it said that every single piece that was
placed on the ship was, you know, perfect, it just fit as though it was a puzzle piece being put

00:07:33 --> 00:07:57
			together with another piece of the puzzle. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala gave him the ability to,
you know, not only build the ship, but he built it so beautifully and perfectly, and he had the
assistance of the angels in order to do that. Now, the day when the flood comes Allah subhanho wa
Taala shows us here work on level Cabo fi Bismillah he imagined a Moosa

00:08:00 --> 00:08:34
			below her food on me, and nor highlight his solemn he now tells those who followed him embark there
in In the name of Allah is its course. And it's Anchorage, as in it will leave it will depart, it
will, it will float, it will go wherever it needs to go with the will of Allah Subhana Allah to
Hannah and it will stop whenever it's time for it to stop with the will and permission of Allah
subhanho wa Taala. What's really interesting for us though, is to learn that this is an example of a
door.

00:08:36 --> 00:09:18
			Hopefully the internet doesn't give us problems because it did yesterday. This is an example of a
dua and this is one that we recite anytime we enter a ship or embark upon a ship or boat or go over
the water This is typically read or recite it however we could recite it when we get into a car when
we get into a plane when we get into a hot air balloon. When we get into anything that moves any
sort of transportation a bus Bismillah himadri hermosa in Nabila furusawa him with Allah subhanho wa
Taala, as will does it, leave and stop and no one is in control. Even though there might be a pilot,
there might be a co pilot, I might be backup pilots, right? Because it's a long flight, there might

00:09:18 --> 00:09:57
			be a driver in the car, two drivers, three drivers, maybe every single passenger in the car is a
driver. But if every single one of the passengers tries to control the steering wheel, but the fly
by wiring is not correct, then the steering wheel will not turn those wheels to the direction that
the car needs to go. Now so Pamela I know those of you who probably heard me say fly by fly by his
wiring that is used in our cars nowadays, traditionally, and you know, some cars still today are
using what we call the rack and pinion, the more modern, you know steering column, and from your
steering wheel you'll have a rod that goes down there's joints in the middle, it will you know be

00:09:57 --> 00:10:00
			able to turn and connects to your steering wheel.

00:10:00 --> 00:10:03
			column which goes out to the wheels of the car, right?

00:10:04 --> 00:10:44
			The modern connection between the steering wheel and the wheels is actually electronic. There's no
rod that goes through. So some of you are actually driving cars that has no rod from your steering
wheel, to the wheels in front of you. It's connected electronically, there are sensors that will
send the turning of your steering wheel, and it will send or transmit a message to the wheels that
you need to turn this amount and you need to turn that amount. And so we've had a lot our cars when
you think of it, now someone who's driving might think, wait a second, there's nothing between my
steering wheel and that except a sensor that informs the wheels to turn. Yes. Now that's really

00:10:44 --> 00:10:46
			interesting, because Pamela, recently,

00:10:47 --> 00:11:09
			just a few years ago, one of the car manufacturers, we don't want to say it because we're
broadcasting, they put their key, right, the key that they have, there's a chip in the key, but the
chip in the key and the place that you place it within the steering column. So behind your steering
wheel, you have that column, wherever you put the key in and you turn it it actually would interfere
with the sensor.

00:11:11 --> 00:11:44
			So it interfere with the sensor. And therefore as you're driving, you might turn your steering wheel
and your wheels don't turn. And this was a problem people actually died from it. Right there were
lawsuits apparently I was reading into it. And some kind of law you know, people died because
they're turning their steering wheels and it's not turning and that's because of the position of
their key. If they were to simply maybe rattle the key the manufacturer said it might you know,
might actually bring the connection back into wheels turn a sub panel or something so simple. And
when you think of that you enter into your car, you put your key in everything set your tires are

00:11:44 --> 00:12:04
			new, right you did your oil change, it could even be a brand new car, it's nice and clean. It's
always maintained your brakes are good, and some had a lot what's actually The problem is that
there's no connection between your steering wheel and the wheels and your key is blocking that
connection. So when you turn the steering wheel, the car goes where it wants to go and not where you
want it to go.

00:12:05 --> 00:12:46
			Bismillah Himeji they have almost no de la foto hain. But you got into your car and you recited the
door and the door as well. When we enter upon a moving vehicle or we you know, begin travels Subhana
lady Sahaja Lana, her the one Malecon Allah omachron. In what in a lot of benaulim on collarbone,
it's important for us to seek help from a loss of Hannah Montana, because there's no guarantee that
the vehicle that we're in, will actually go in the direction that we want it to go. Even if we're
turning the steering wheel. Even if there's a pilot, even if you know the air conditions are right
and the hot air balloon is going up. There's no guarantee. And so we put our trust Finally, firstly

00:12:46 --> 00:13:28
			and lastly in Allah subhanho wa Taala as in we know that at the beginning of anything we begin with
Bismillah and we know that it will not end this journey will not end except with the will of Allah
subhanho wa Taala and so the story of Newark teaches us that that this boat begins to float when the
waters come and Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us in the sutra, the waters flow out as though the
earth was an oven that explodes. It opens up you know when you open the oven, and you know your wife
or your your mother's cooking or baking and you open the oven and you feel that gust of hot air come
out at you. That was like the water that's coming out of the ground flowing as though it's flowing

00:13:28 --> 00:13:52
			from an oven, just like it's coming out of the mountains, you know, the lava coming out of the
mountains, this tsunami somehow that just went crazy this water and it was also raining heavily. And
this is why it was important for that boat to be completely closed off and sealed. And it was
traveling through these waves of honolua that were said to be higher than mountains. And in the
middle of that incident from verses number 4645 and 46.

00:13:53 --> 00:13:59
			Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us one, no one no one will

00:14:01 --> 00:14:08
			be in a beam in any way in our deck can help

00:14:11 --> 00:14:12
			me in

00:14:15 --> 00:15:00
			Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us one add a new bow. A lot of new calls out to his Lord He calls out
to Allah subhanho wa Taala and he says, I'll be in Ebony my son that you promised would be
protected. My son is from my family. And now Allah subhanho wa Taala promised mohalla his solemn
that his family would be protected his family but he never said anything about his son now nor he
calls out to Allah subhanho wa Taala politely nicely with a dub with etiquette with morals. And he
says, you know, My son is from my family. We're in Noah del Huck and you in your promise, your
promises the truth, whatever you

00:15:00 --> 00:15:18
			Say is the truth. Now he's referring to the statement that Allah Subhana Allah, Allah mentions to
him that you would your family would be protected in the verses that we just, you know, went through
25 to 49. So no Hannah has sent him he hears from Allah subhanho wa Taala had a response. He says,

00:15:20 --> 00:15:23
			All in no laser, Alec.

00:15:24 --> 00:16:17
			Oh, no, he is not from your family. I know that he's your son. I know that he's your child, but he
is not from your family. In nevel, I'm alone, Ohio saw his actions are not pure actions. They're not
good actions. Fela tests only man a seller can be here and in me. Sorry, in need, are you Luca, and
Taku and me ninja when he tells new alayhis salam that he is not from your family. Don't you know,
don't think that he was doing good things. His actions were actions that were not pure. They were
not correct actions. And so Allah has sent him he receives this sort of hint from Allah subhanho wa
Taala, that your family is not the blood relatives that you have. Your family is the people who

00:16:17 --> 00:17:00
			believe in Allah subhanho wa Taala. And I've given you the example of this before throughout our
Friday night halaqaat you know, Blood is thicker than water. And that statement means that family
relatives are more important to us, they're closer to us. And our relationship is much stronger,
because they are family members of ours. As opposed to our friends who are like water, they come in,
they go they flow very easily, they can come to us easily and they can leave very easily. But
family, you know, when family is born into family, their blood relationship is stronger and thicker.
And even though we might not like them, we can't simply cut them off. We can't cut them off because

00:17:00 --> 00:17:42
			their blood and blood is thicker than water, it doesn't just flow away as easily. But there's
something that's thicker than blood. And it's the Shahada when we testify our belief in Allah
subhana wa tada that is thicker than our blood relation that we have with other related relatives of
ours and know how Allah has sent and learns this the hard way. Okay know how Allah has sent him he
learns it the hard way, because he now sees as the floods begin, his son is in the water and his son
is you know, swimming trying to save himself and nor Halla his Salaam he calls out to his son, and
he says, Come I will save you just come aboard and believe in what I tell you. And he says Don't

00:17:42 --> 00:17:51
			worry, Dad. So we no jevelin I'm just gonna go over, I'm gonna swim, I'm gonna make my way over to
that mountain. Right and everything's gonna be fine, don't worry.

00:17:52 --> 00:17:54
			And some how to love what happens.

00:17:55 --> 00:18:35
			A big wave comes and no hana hasulam no longer sees his son. And Allah subhanho wa Taala dealt with
that situation. Hamas, you didn't believe you didn't believe anyone who did not believe was
destroyed. And no Allah Hassan was commanded by Allah subhana wa attallah to put pairs of every you
know everything into the ship, from agriculture, you know, to animals to human beings, male and
female of every species, Allah subhanho wa Taala commanded him to do that to protect the environment
and the species afterwards, just like when you go to Australia, they want to make sure that their
environment is protected. And so when you land in Australia, they asked you Do you have any mud on

00:18:35 --> 00:19:10
			your shoes? No. Do you have any? You know, I remember when the first time I took my family to
Australia, my daughter was very small, and she was still drinking out of a bottle. And on the
flight, we had a bottle with milk, but she drank the milk from the bottle. But when we landed in
Australia, they asked us Do you have any food? Did you have any plans products? You have any animal
products? anything of that sort? No, no, no, no, just like entering Canada, but Canada is much more
lenient than Australia, they will actually look at your shoes and say there's mud on your shoes,
clean it. You can't bring this into the country, because there might be some bacteria there that

00:19:10 --> 00:19:47
			could kill their entire, you know, an entire species of animals. And when you look at Australia,
it's not like Canada, we have, you know, the same animals here we have down south in the US, maybe
even in Mexico down south as well. Going into central and southern America. Most of Canada,
Australia is so secluded from the rest of the world, the animals they have our unique, they have
some of the most deadliest animals and insects that walk the face of this earth. And Allah knows why
they want to protect it. They're dangerous, but some handle that it actually contributes back to you
know, the environment and the society that they live in. And so it's important for them to protect

00:19:47 --> 00:19:58
			it, just like new Hannah has sent him you know, protected the species of animals that were around at
the time as well as the human beings the believers that believed in Allah subhanho, wa Taala etc.

00:20:00 --> 00:20:41
			So we see that new Hyundai has sat down was tested with his family. And that's a lesson for you and
I, you know, the other day I was, I always receive this type of phone call or email. You when
someone contacts me and says, you know, my son or my daughter has doubts in Islam, or you know, is
not practicing Islam or, you know, now wants to marry someone that is not Muslim, especially when it
comes to a daughter. Parents usually will contact me and say, my daughter wants to marry a non
Muslim man, can you speak to my daughter? How old is your daughter? 2025 3035? Okay, now you want me
to speak to them? After all these years? What have you been doing with your child now? Because of

00:20:41 --> 00:21:19
			marriage? Now the parents become concerned. Now, we can't just say that, you know, parents were
never concerned before that. But at this point in time, why is it so important? We should be
recognizing that some kind of life leading up to this point, something may have taken place or
something should have been taking place. And so Pamela, you know, whenever asked this question, How
many years has it been now that they've had this relationship? And when I hear things like two
years, three years, six years, nine years, 10 years, wow, for 10 years, they've been in a
relationship, boyfriend and girlfriend, and it was never a concern, or it was never urgent. It may

00:21:19 --> 00:22:00
			have been a concern, but it was never urgent enough to pick up the phone and call someone and ask
for help. Now that they're getting engaged, oh, now it's a problem. What were they doing for all the
you know, these years together as boyfriend and girlfriend so Pamela, alright, so we ask Allah
subhanho wa Taala to make it easy for us to understand that our relatives even though we might have
children that we raise upon Islam, there is no guarantee that these children will remain upon Islam.
prophets like no Halla has Sarah had children that did not remain upon Islam, his son, his own wife
was from amongst those that were destroyed as well Subhana Allah, and so Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:22:00 --> 00:22:40
			promised mohalla his Salam that he would protect his family, but he did not protect those that did
not believe why because they're not necessarily your family. Your family are those who believe those
who don't believe they're still your relatives, and that's the beautiful thing that we need to
highlight. They're still your relatives, you still need to maintain a relationship with them. You
cannot cut off your ties with the family members of yours that don't believe the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam did not do that with his uncle Abu Paulin. He protected the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam but he never believed. He never believed. He believed in the Lord. Yes, but he

00:22:40 --> 00:23:09
			still did not believe in the oneness of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And that's interesting for us to
understand the prophets parents sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, his mother and his father. They were
not believers. They were not believers. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam at a later point in
time during his prophethood he went to the grave of his mother and he began to cry. He began to cry
because he was remembering his parents. And he knows that his parents were not people that believed
in Allah subhanho wa Taala.

00:23:10 --> 00:23:36
			They were idol worshippers. Subhan Allah, it's not easy, but it's the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam is tested with these tests, we are going to be tested with similar tests as well. And we ask
Allah Subhana Allah to help us and save us and protect us from these extremely harsh tests and you
know, moments that we would go through in life. We asked a lot to protect us and never to give us
something that is too difficult for us to bear. I mean,

00:23:37 --> 00:23:58
			we move on to Surah houde. Sorry, verse number 50. We're already we're still continuing sort of
hood. But first number 5259. of Surah Hood here Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us the discussion
between houde Allah has sent him and his people who are the people that who Allah has sent him was
calling to the oneness of Allah subhanho wa Taala Who were they?

00:23:59 --> 00:24:30
			So we said previously solid alayhis salam called to the people of thermowood they were known as
thermowood the people of whom Allah has sent them What are they known as? A had comb the ad that
people have had a loss of handlers Allah says and sorta to the federal welfare, well, Elena, she was
just very well what well, Lady either, yes, healthy the family the age, and okay. vasana boo Kabira

00:24:33 --> 00:24:39
			Did you not see what Allah subhanho wa Taala did to the people of Iran.

00:24:44 --> 00:24:58
			They were big, strong, really well built huge like in a mud like a pillar massive people very well
known. And Letty lamjao snoqualmie slope field

00:25:01 --> 00:25:35
			Allah subhanho wa Taala says they were people like human beings but humans like you've never seen
before. And Letty Lem your luck with low Hasselblad, you've never seen and witnessed people of that
status, that stature, great, massive people, just like you and I human beings, but big, really big,
really strong, really powerful. They carved their homes in the mountains. And they had those were
their homes, their day to day homes, but they had palaces that they carved and built on top of the
mountains.

00:25:36 --> 00:26:05
			And those palaces, they told themselves and they used to tell others, that they would live forever,
they would have eternal life. And after when they got older, or when they felt tired of living in
the valley amongst the people in the mountains, they would go up to the tops of the mountains where
they built their palaces, and they would live there forever and ever and ever. And Allah subhanho wa
Taala destroyed them because they disobeyed. Who Allah has sent them, they refuse to listen to him.

00:26:06 --> 00:26:20
			And Allah subhanho wa Taala destroyed them, a destruction that we can't even see anymore. They're
gone, they're done. And Allah Subhana Allah concealed that nation, they are completely unknown of

00:26:21 --> 00:27:05
			except for when Allah subhanho wa Taala reveals them here in the Quran. Allah subhanho wa Taala
talks about them. And in the Quran, Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions in verse number 49 and belief.
Verse number 49. Tilikum in Amba ilahi been where he like Moroccan Tatiana, Maha unter wala como
kameen, cuddly had a false fear in Allah ha te betalen Tolkien, Allah subhanho wa Taala tells the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam when he reveals these verses to them, he says, that is from the
news of the unseen which we reveal to you to Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam which Allah
reveals to Mohammed son along and even some of them, you knew not of it, you did not know of these

00:27:05 --> 00:27:48
			people before and their, their you know their life and what took place, neither you nor your people
before this knew of them and what took place. So be patient, indeed, the best outcome is for the
righteous. So Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us that new Holly has sent and sorry, that's the the
details of some of these stories. And in particular, the story of who the Allah has sent him and his
people that people have had, they were not known as in they had lived, but the details of what took
place was not known and Allah subhanho wa Taala destroyed them a destruction that proved to us, you
can be like Allah said, you know, muda tillery mud, like the strongest people that ever walked the

00:27:48 --> 00:28:05
			face of this earth. And Letty Lem your luck, mythical Hasselblad, there was no other human beings
that were of this status in this stature. And Allah subhanho wa Taala destroyed them and covered
them up. And we never saw or heard from them or have them afterwards.

00:28:07 --> 00:28:12
			And to this day, no one has ever found the remains of the people have had

00:28:14 --> 00:28:25
			on the internet back in 2004, I believe it was 2003 2004, maybe 2005. I remember being a student in
Medina at the time.

00:28:26 --> 00:28:29
			And there was an, you know,

00:28:30 --> 00:29:08
			an email that was circulating around the internet, people were emailing, emailing others about this
picture of a skeleton of a human body that was said to have been found in the place of how the
remote and that is where the people have had lived in present day Yemen, how about remote, right? So
the picture was like a large skeleton. And there were small, tiny little people on it, it looked
like something from a movie, right? Something that just wasn't real, but it looked real. And you
know, everyone was saying that this is the remains of a body from the people of the time of who
Allah has set up.

00:29:09 --> 00:29:48
			But Allah subhanho wa Taala showed us a couple of years later, or a few months later, that people
realized and those that can analyze pictures and so on, had said that this was a photoshopped
picture. And that incident of you know, finding that body and digging those bones out, never
actually took place anywhere within Yemen or its surroundings. And so Subhanallah it was fake. It
was someone who took a you know, a picture of us, you know, a body found, and then you know,
photoshopped it and put little shrunk people and put them down there as though they're they're
cleaning away the bones and so on, which was not real. And that goes to show us again that Allah

00:29:48 --> 00:29:59
			subhana wa tallas word is the truth. When he says that he concealed and he hid the people. He
destroyed them to the extent that you will never find them. You will never find them. We will never
find them.

00:30:00 --> 00:30:38
			That is the word of Allah subhanaw taala there's truth in it. So don't think that oh, you know, if
we dig deeper and dig deeper and dig deeper, no, you will never find it Allah subhanho wa Taala.
When he destroys, he can destroy everything to the extent that was this small can be crushed into
pieces. And so we don't have the power that Allah subhanho wa Taala does. And if he says something,
we believe in it and we leave it at that in verses number 61 to 68. Allah subhanho wa Taala goes
through the story of Sodom Allah has sent him and his people, the people of thermowood, which we
already covered, so we're not going to discuss that. We move on to verses number 69 to 76.

00:30:41 --> 00:31:05
			Shall we move on to versus number 69 to 76 Ibrahim Allah has sent them here's the story of Ibrahim,
but this is the part of the story of Ibrahim it has sent him where Allah subhanho wa Taala sends
three people to him. Three people and they are said to be three angels not said to be they are, but
they are said to be the angels.

00:31:08 --> 00:31:17
			jabril mckeel and it's Rafi. Okay, three angels come to Ibrahim Allah has set up.

00:31:18 --> 00:31:54
			And when he sees these angels, he doesn't know that they're angels because when angels are sent on
Earth, they are sent in the form of human beings, right? They're sent in the form of ourselves as
human beings, or however Allah subhanho wa Taala wants, but when they came to him, they were sent in
the form of humans. So he thought that these were three guests, three travelers that came to him. So
he welcomed them just like anyone would welcome guests, but we know the prophets of Allah subhanho
wa Taala when they welcome guests, they would give them you know, whatever they had whatever
goodness they could offer to someone else. And we see this tradition, even up until now, for those

00:31:54 --> 00:32:30
			that are traveling around, you know, different countries of the world hospitality in different parts
of the world varies. And so Ibrahim Allah has sent him he slaughters a young animal, and he has it
you know, grilled, he has it cooked roasted, I should say it was roasted. And he, he presents this
to his guests, a beautiful animal that he roasts. Imagine, you know, you go to someone's house, and
they take a lamb, and they roast it for you nicely, beautifully of hamdulillah especially on the
fire, which smells even better, right and you're smelling that meets your mouth is watering. And he
presents it to his three guests, and the guests don't eat from it.

00:32:32 --> 00:32:37
			What would you do if you had guests come to your house and you give them food and they're just
sitting there?

00:32:38 --> 00:33:14
			refuse to eat it? They don't want it. They don't want your hospitality, you start to become
concerned. Why aren't they eating my food? What did they come here for? If they're not going to
receive or accept my hospitality? What do they want? And so Ibrahim it has sent him becomes
concerned. And at that point in time he realizes that these are actually angel sent from Allah
subhanho wa Taala they came to inform him of something now he wants to know what it is. And so they
inform Ibrahim Allah has sent them versus 69 to 76 we're not going to read through it because I know
we haven't been finishing on time.

00:33:15 --> 00:33:37
			And so Ibrahim alayhis salam receives these three guests he gives them the animals the sorry, the
the the food to eat, and they refuse to eat from it. And then he asks them, what is this you know
what's going on? And they say we've come we've been sent from Allah subhanho wa Taala to inform you
that the people have looked are about to receive a punishment.

00:33:39 --> 00:34:01
			We're informing you that the people of loot are going to receive their punishment loot Allah has
sent and lived in a different region. He lived where the Dead Sea is presently today right in the
area of the Dead Sea. And so they also inform Ibrahim alayhis salam that he's going to have a son
with his wife which wife

00:34:03 --> 00:34:12
			with sada why with sada why not with her job. Ibrahim alayhis salam he was also married to her job,
her job alayhis salam or her job she had

00:34:13 --> 00:34:50
			is Marian Allah Hassan baby is Marian right. But with Sarah, they had no children. And Ibrahim
alayhis salam receives glad tidings through these angels from Allah subhana wa tada that you will
now have a child with this wife of yours with sada and you will name this child is hack, right? This
child is his hack. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala You know, when the angels give the information to
Ibrahim, that the people of loot are going to receive their punishment. His wife sada she chuckles
she's like,

00:34:51 --> 00:35:00
			Why does she do that? Now a lot of people translate it as in, she laughed. She didn't really laugh.
She more you know, smiled or chuckled, is the most fun

00:35:00 --> 00:35:01
			And say she wasn't like,

00:35:03 --> 00:35:18
			you know, laughing out loud. No, she just, you know, made a gesture, a gesture where she sort of
smiled and chuckled. Why did she do that? Why would someone smile and chuckle when they're told that
another nation is going to be destroyed? Why did she do that?

00:35:23 --> 00:36:00
			Okay, some, some people say yes, she was smiling because she was receiving glad tidings that she
would have a child and she was old and she thought, well, how's how to live, you know, I'm gonna
have a baby. But then alpha zero and say that she actually smiled or chuckled because of the
punishment that was, you know, they they were informed that they were going to send the punishment
to the people of loot. alehissalaam. And she did that because loot alayhis salam had already warned
his people that if you do not follow what I'm telling you, you could receive a punishment from Allah
subhanho wa Taala. And so she was chuckling because after all the years that he was calling them

00:36:00 --> 00:36:16
			away from the sins that they were committing. They were now going to receive this punishment. So she
was like, they thought they can get away with it. All right, that's, you know, her, her response as
the scholars have to see and teach us in verses number 77 to 83.

00:36:18 --> 00:36:56
			We transition so the angels are about to leave Prophet Ibrahim Allah has sent him and he he doesn't
warn them, but he informs them he says, Hey, do you know that there's from amongst those people,
there is someone whose pious loot Allah has sent him? He's there he's a prophet of Allah. Are you
going to harm someone who you know is busy in the worship of Allah subhana wa, tada and obedient to
Allah? Are you going to harm him as well? And the angels informed about him Allah has sent him we
know more, we know better about this situation than you do. Don't worry about it. we're well aware.
Basically, they're saying we're well aware of loot Allison, and we know that he's there. Okay, so

00:36:56 --> 00:36:58
			they leave and they go to loot Allah has sent them.

00:37:00 --> 00:37:30
			Now loot Allah has said, we know that his people were sinners. And we, we tend to go immediately to
one of the most major sins that they were committing at the time, or more major sin in our minds.
And that was the sin of, and we know very well, we have children amongst us, we don't really want to
mention it. And it's a sensitive topic nowadays with what's going on in the world. But Subhanallah
it's something that we learned from its history, it did take place, and we learn from it.

00:37:31 --> 00:38:13
			And so luthra alayhis salam, he was calling his people away from *. But that was not the only
sin that they were committing. This is something that even as Muslims, we make this mistake. We
think that the only thing that the people of Louisiana has sent and received the punishment for was
the punishment for *. That's not true. They were doing many things that were going against the
will of Allah subhanho wa Taala they were stealing, they were robbing they were, you know, hurting
others, they were murdering. They were committing so many sins, they felt as though sins were like
Yes, just nothing. They were basically living a free for all anything in life that they wanted to

00:38:13 --> 00:38:57
			do, they could just do it was like a free for all situation. And this is why * was also part of
it. To the extent that some had a lot nowadays. You know, when people practice this, we think oh,
you know, the times of the people of loot have arrived know, the people of loot. You know, at his
time, they were practicing this with no shame in public in the streets in front of others. They were
doing this publicly. And so at our time, even though it's something that's being done, it's not
being done like it was done at the time of Prophet lute, Allah has sent him it was publicly being
done. And they were sending publicly not only in this aspect, but in many other things they would go

00:38:57 --> 00:39:15
			and they would steal and they would rob people and they would damage property and they didn't care
what they did. It was a big free for all right. Now loot Allah has Sanam he hears and it has said
that he heard from his daughter that you know, three people had arrived and they had come to visit
loot Allah His center.

00:39:16 --> 00:40:00
			And so one of the rules, or I shouldn't say rule, but it was a treaty, something that they forced
upon, it's not even a treaty. It was something they forced upon loot and his Sanam was that he was
no longer allowed to host any guests inside of his home. And that was because anyone that came from
out of town, they were not aware of the actions of the people of the city or the town. And so the
people who would come as travelers when they would enter and see, you know, mixed with the locals,
they would get you know, drawn into committing those sins and actions that was taking place. And so
loot Allah has sent him what he would do is whenever he would hear that trash

00:40:00 --> 00:40:07
			Travelers were arriving, he would go out to the outskirts of the city, receive the guests and bring
them into his home.

00:40:08 --> 00:40:42
			And he would bring them into his home and keep them protected there. Now, this is what happened to
the angels, they came and due to an incident, he went out, and he brought them in. And he felt this
was something that was difficult for him, because he didn't want to, you know, disturb the
environment that he was living in, as in the people had already told him Don't keep anyone inside of
your home. And if anyone was inside the home of Luther and his son, and they would come over, and
they came to his home, they knew that he was keeping these three guests inside of his home, you
know, news leaked out. And so they came to his home because they wanted to indulge in whatever with

00:40:42 --> 00:41:14
			these three men that came to do to Allah, his center, and they informed luta AlHassan of the
punishment of his people, right that his people would be punished for what they're doing all the
different sins that they're committing. And so they commanded a lot, sorry, they, they they told him
of the command of Allah subhanho wa Taala to leave the city. Now tonight leave with those that
follow you who followed Him, who were actually staying away from the sins that were being committed
in the city. Only two other people who were they

00:41:15 --> 00:41:52
			his two daughters, and that's from the blessings of Allah subhanho wa Taala they gave him a sorry,
Allah Subhana Allah blessed him with two daughters. And so those two daughters, they followed what
luta Allah has sent him was telling his people sorry, they followed what luta Allah has sent him yes
was telling his people and they left with him in the night. And when they left the loss of hanworth
Allah sent the punishment. The angels went over gibreel Allah His Salaam it said he dug his wing
into the ground. And Allah subhana wa tada says that he flipped them upside down, right? So he
lifted them up and he flipped them upside down and threw them back down at the ground. And then the

00:41:52 --> 00:42:03
			angels showered down upon them stones made out of clay that were extremely, extremely hard, like
hardened clay. And Allah Subhana Allah says in the Quran that it was written upon them.

00:42:04 --> 00:42:26
			And the scholars have to say that it was mentioned the name of every single person that was there
that was sitting, Allah subhanho wa Taala showered them with these stones, each person was hit with
a stone, destroying them. And so the destruction that was promised to come to them, was sent to
them. We move on Allah subhanho wa Taala says in verse number 101 101,

00:42:27 --> 00:43:03
			showing us that a lot did not wrong them, or the people, not just the people at the time of loot
Allah Hassan, but the people of slaughter, the people of whom Allah has set up, you know, and and
the other prophets and messengers that came before their nations that were destroyed. Allah subhanho
wa Taala says that he did not wrong them. Rather they wronged themselves in verses number 101 101.
They wronged themselves. Why did they wrong themselves how? Because they sought protection from the
idols that they used to worship.

00:43:04 --> 00:43:47
			And those idols did absolutely nothing for them. When they were faced with hardships at trial and
destruction, those idols did nothing for them. It didn't help them, it didn't protect them did
absolutely nothing for them. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala says they wronged their own selves. They
were told, they were warned, they were asked nicely, politely, come with reason as well worship
Allah subhanho wa Taala don't continue to worship these idols that you worship. They refuse to they
disagreed. And so they only harmed their own selves, we move on to Surah Yusuf where Allah subhanho
wa Taala shows us and I'm going to go through it in a team base format simply because we covered to

00:43:47 --> 00:44:03
			see it as pseudo use of here and the mustard already previously. And I believe the recordings are up
online, if I'm not mistaken. It was one of the first things that we did in the mustard here
together. So the story of use of it has senem which is the 12th surah of the Quran.

00:44:04 --> 00:44:18
			And the very first verses, Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us actually before we mentioned this, let's
ask ourselves who is use of Allah has sent up use of Allah His Sanam is the son of Yaqoob Allah has
sent him and he's the son of

00:44:20 --> 00:44:38
			we just mentioned it is hack Allah has sent him who is the son of Ibrahim alayhis salam. So you see
when Ibrahim Allah has sent him and his wife sada were given glad tidings that they would have a
child and that child is known as his hack. And from his hack came Yaqoob and from

00:44:40 --> 00:44:47
			from his Hakeem Yaqoob Yes, and from Yaqoob came use of Allah His setups Pamela sometimes you get
all mixed up

00:44:48 --> 00:44:56
			in verse number three Allah subhana wa tada shows us, Naples, Florida, aka Santa Claus saucy Bhima

00:44:58 --> 00:44:59
			you know, you can have

00:45:02 --> 00:45:03
			Juan

00:45:06 --> 00:45:50
			Pablo de la mina Hoff Eenie in Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us in verse number three, how he tells
the prophets on a long line of usnm that in the Quran, we have the best of stories, the best stories
that you can ever learn and read and understand are the stories that are mentioned in the Quran,
learn them, teach them to your children, understand them, analyze them, try to reflect upon those
stories, try to see how that story relates to my life. What is it that I could take from this story
that I could implement in my life or that I could learn that will change my life for the better? And
so instead of reading stories like Harry Potter, right, were some guys flying around on a

00:45:50 --> 00:46:29
			broomstick? Okay, which is really boring if you ask me, so how to law, right? But our children find
it really interesting. Or like Star Wars, and now all the adults are being you know, adults watching
these Star Wars like art, dirty dirt, all these weird sounds of things that don't even exist some
kind of law, or things like you know, Spider Man, Superman x men write things not even real. So I've
had a lot, we spend so much time on it. Yes, entertainment is entertainment. Well, you know, we can
read things that you know, help us to help us to relax sometimes, but somehow that in my opinion,
there's so many other things that can help us to relax. The Koran helps us to relax. Let's read that

00:46:29 --> 00:46:46
			instead. Okay, so read things that are beneficial that are useful. I'm not saying that it's how long
or not permissible, but Allah shows us that the best stories and stories that are going to help us
are the stories that are mentioned within the Koran, and the things that we can learn from the
Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam

00:46:47 --> 00:46:55
			in verse number four, Allah subhanho wa Taala highlights. Dreams is gone. You're so funny, Abby, he

00:46:58 --> 00:47:00
			bet me a

00:47:01 --> 00:47:02
			shadow

00:47:03 --> 00:47:05
			in the

00:47:06 --> 00:47:34
			shadow can look at them with shims and when it'll come out on a tour home Lisa GD in Allah subhanho
wa Taala shows us in this fourth verse of surah Yusuf, that use of Allah His senem says to his
father, I had a dream. Not the dream of Malcolm X, a bigger dream in Neeraj a to a head ashera
Kalka, sorry, not Malcolm X. What's his name?

00:47:35 --> 00:48:19
			Martin Luther King, right. Martin Luther King, King, I have a dream. So use the valley his son m
goes to his father and he says in niara, ie to a Haida Hashanah Coachella, I saw 11 stars was chumps
will come up, or at least GDN. And not only did I see 11 stars, but the sun and the moon, all of
them. They were prostrating to me. They were making sujood to me. Now, this indicates that he saw a
dream. And he's asking his father to interpret the dream and his father does. He tells him there's
something that's good that will happen to you. This is goodness from Allah, keep it to yourself,
don't share it with your brothers call us. He does not tell him exactly what will happen. But he

00:48:19 --> 00:49:01
			indicates to him that this is a good dream, there is something good from Allah subhanho wa Taala,
that will come to you. And this part of the surah is so important, we actually fail to recognize
that because here, he tells his son, Allah subhana wa Taala is telling you through this dream that
something good is going to happen to you. So when we now fast forward to his brothers, putting him
into the wealth to him coming out of the wealth and being captured by the people. And when someone
is found, without any connection or links to their to their village or tribe or family. They're kept
as a slave as a servant to those that find them. Then he's taken to Egypt. Then he goes through the

00:49:01 --> 00:49:50
			hardships and the pains of you know, being seduced by one person, one woman then being seduced by a
group of women in the city, then he's put into prison, then he's staying in prison, because he
doesn't want to come out, except that he is relieved of being put in prison for false reasons.
Right? It becomes known that I was placed in prison for false reasons. I was only put in prison to
protect the wife of that minister, not because I actually did something that was wrong. And so no,
sorry, use of Allah has sent him. This verse gives him hope throughout the rest of his life. For the
rest of his life, he has hope. Because he knows that I have not yet seen the fruit of that dream

00:49:50 --> 00:49:59
			that his father interpreted for him. See, we just went through a good chunk of the sweater. Right,
we went through the sweater versus number 12 to 18 Family Ties right

00:50:00 --> 00:50:33
			His brothers requests for him to go out and play with them. They go to their father Yaqoob. They
begged him, they asked him, they even bribe him, right? They try and ask him to, you know, send them
out, don't worry, we're going to protect him. Don't worry, everything's gonna be fine. What you
don't trust us, he's our brother, we're gonna look after him. Obviously, he's family to us. Then
they put them in a well, and they kill an animal and they smear the blood on the shirt of use of
Allah, his center that had no signs of use of being attacked except the blood placed on there. And
they bring it back to their father and they lie to their father, look, he was attacked by an animal,

00:50:33 --> 00:51:11
			which was not true. All of these things happen Family Ties maintain them, we've learned that from
the story of use of out of his setup, in verses 19 to 34. We learned honesty, how use of any his
senem he was found, but he was honest, he dealt with the situation, honestly, he knew that the laws
at the time meant that if you were found, and you had no links to your family, or anything of that
sort, you belong to the people that found you. So he did not argue He did not say hey, you know
what, I'm so and so person. No, I was found harmless. There's a plan. And a law has a plan. And I
know that Allah has this plan. So I'm going to go along with the plan of Allah subhanho wa Taala.

00:51:11 --> 00:51:26
			Had, he's honest with his, the verse that Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us right, his dream,
basically, he's honest with being sold, even though he's being sold. He's not saying Hey, did you
know that I'm usif? Son of the son of his hock,

00:51:27 --> 00:52:07
			son of Ibrahim, does he say that? No. He knew that this was the plan. This is what I have to do. So
he's honest with it. He's also honest with going to Egypt, he's honest with serving the person who
purchases him in, you know, the Minister, the azeez, whose home he's living in, he's honest with
serving him. He's honest with the wife of the minister. He doesn't do anything that he's not
permitted to do. He says, God man as a law, I fear a lot. No way am I going to do this with you?
Absolutely not. And he runs to leave the room. And we know the story of him leaving the or trying to
escape and his shirt is ripped from the back and someone says check the shirt. If it was ripped from

00:52:07 --> 00:52:18
			the back, then she was at fault if it was ripped from the front. Then she was protecting herself and
defending herself pushing him back. And his shirt was ripped in the meantime, right?

00:52:20 --> 00:53:06
			He's also honest with the plot to be seduced as well as the plot afterwards with the women who tried
to seduce him. Then from verses 35 to 57, we learn how he trusts Allah subhanho wa Taala he has
trust in Allah. When he's placed in prison, he trusts that he will be released honestly, through
through the help of Allah subhanho wa Taala. He trusts in the dream that he saw, he trusts in the
dream that he is asked to interpret. So he's asked to interpret to people's dreams, he interprets
them. And he does so in an honest fashion as well. And then he tells one of them when you're
released, mentioned me to your master, and that ends up happening in the long run. He also is

00:53:06 --> 00:53:45
			trustworthy in telling the right interpretation of the dream that the king saw that came to use of
Allah His setup, he's also trust. He also trusts Allah subhanho wa Taala. When Allah gives him
status within Egypt, he trusted that this was the plan of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And he did not
refuse to take it for himself. In verses number 58 to 82. The brothers plan their trips and they go
back and forth between Egypt back and forth. You can read through the English on your own inshallah,
to Allah the story, like we said, is the best of stories. And of course, we don't have time to go
through 111 or said to be 112 verses of surah Yusuf.

00:53:46 --> 00:54:02
			In verses 83 to 101 use of Allah has sent em displays patience, he displays patience, and jacoba
alayhis salam also displays patience. He's patient with his son being missing for so many years.
He's patient

00:54:03 --> 00:54:41
			Yaqoob nslm is patient. He's also patient Yusuf Alayhi. Salam is his patient with not seeing his
family and knowing that these are his brothers coming to him, but he's patient, he doesn't reveal
his identity. He doesn't go and simply say because Oh, he's so happy and, you know, head over heels
and he's jumping for joy to let his father know that he's alive. No, he's patient. He knows a loss
of hamlets. Anna has a plan. He does not tell his brothers abusive so they can go back and say oh,
Yusef is still alive. By the way. He's patient he remains patient. And Subhan Allah Yusuf, Allah has
sent him his patient when he also welcomes his parents, when they arrive many years later, and it is

			said to be over 40 years later, he arrives, sorry, he sees his patients or his patients, his parents
arriving and he greets them. He goes out to greet them at the gates of Egypt and brings them in, and
then he see his 11 brothers and his mother and his father, bowing down

			prostrating making sujood to him. That was permissible at the time they were not bowing down to him
in worship and very bad. They were bowing down to him out of respect and that was something that was
done at their time and permitted and permissible during their time and their Shetty. Ha, in verses
number 102 to 111 of surah Yusuf Allah subhanho wa Taala gives advice to Muhammad sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam. So the entire surah is not the story of use of Allah, his Sanam, the beginning and the
end is actually communication between Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and Allah subhanho wa
Taala. The middle verses are the verses of the Surah Surah Yusuf verses of the story of use of

00:55:45 --> 00:55:46
			Allah, his senem.

00:55:47 --> 00:56:04
			Now we have two minutes, and I will conclude with the beginning of Surah terlihat. I only wanted to
mention two things with regards to this soda because we're only covering the first 13 verses I
believe, right, the first 13 verses of soda to light in the first

			verse, a loss of Hannah Montana and on he mentions his signs and His Signs of greatness. how great
the loss of control data is, that he makes, you know, the sky stand, and it's you know, it's held up
who holds it up and loss of Hannah Montana does that. But in verse number 12 and 13 I want to
highlight something absolutely beautiful. Allah subhanho wa Taala says, Why you will be a home liar,
it will be a handy one Amanda.

00:56:33 --> 00:56:53
			He kept to mean fee for it. Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us that the inverse number 12 the
lightning and the thunder are creations of Allah subhanho wa Taala And in verse number 12, verse
number 13, Allah subhanho wa Taala says that the thunder when you hear it, it's actually praising
Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:56:54 --> 00:57:01
			and that's why we praise a lot when we hear the thunder we say Will you sub be heard via to be
hungry, he will Mullah he ketamine three fatty

00:57:03 --> 00:57:38
			the thunder and the angels praise Allah subhanho wa Taala out of the fear that they have of Allah
subhanho wa Taala We ask Allah subhana wa Taala to make it easy for us to also praise Allah, just
like the thunder and the angels do. And we ask Allah Subhana Allah to Allah to make it easy for us
to understand the verses of the Quran and bless us with this month of Ramadan and our connection
with the Quran and to bless us with forgiveness as well and to accept all of our good deeds in our
fasts in our Eva and our dm and our recitation of the Quran and our do i mean Jada, Bella Hannah

and Afghanistan and Indonesia, and many different parts of the world in China, in Canada and the US
in many different areas of the world. Muslims are going through difficulties and hardships of
various different sorts. We ask Allah subhana wa etana to make it easy for all of us and to bring us
relief. And he is I mean out of bed alameen wa salatu salam wa barik ala nabina Muhammad wa ala
