			of the presentation. But before we begin the lecture, just a few

00:00:26 --> 00:00:43
			housekeeping or just few reminders in Sharla. With Tyler, if you have any children who are going to
be noisy or who begin to make some noise during the lecture, it is most appreciated if you can take
them to the back end today, a quiet inshallah to Allah and then bring them back. It is most
frustrating

00:00:44 --> 00:00:50
			for a lecturer to be talking whilst a child is being rowdy or noisy.

00:00:52 --> 00:01:11
			Apparently, I remember there was a lecture that one of my lectures that was posted up on the
internet, actually, someone actually commented and said, What's with all the screaming in the
background, even the even the, the the listeners to the lecture, were commenting about that panela.
So I can be quite frustrating and Sharla

00:01:12 --> 00:01:15

			So in sha Allah without any further ado, I'm going to commence today's lecture

00:02:58 --> 00:03:06
			Bismillah R Rahman r Rahim al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen wa Salatu was Salam ala Sayyidina
Muhammad

00:03:08 --> 00:03:35
			Ali he was happy he edged main praises due to Allah and may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon
our beloved prophet muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and upon all those who follow his Sunnah
who follow his tradition, his way his belief until the last day respected brothers and sisters in
Islam. Salaam Alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

00:03:37 --> 00:04:26
			Today inshallah huhtala we are continuing the discussion from the book riobel sila heen by mmm will
never we have a Hema hula huhtala whereby he has an entire book entitled The Book of manners and
today inshallah hotel is chapter emammal. Now we rahima hula hula Allah He entitled it Babel warfare
ability we're ingesting What? Basically it is about fulfilling your promises, fulfilling your
promises. And the promise here is the word for promise here is a lad Allah had and a memo now with
Rahim Allah who Tyler he began this chapter

00:04:27 --> 00:04:53
			with four, four verses from the Quran whereby Allah azza wa jal gives us directives regarding
promises. And then a man will know we Rahim Allah who tyla he included three ahaadeeth or hadiths
traditions to do with this topic and to do with fulfilling your promises. Now, the first area

00:04:54 --> 00:04:59
			that a man will know we rahima Hello Darla included is found in

00:05:00 --> 00:05:00
			Surah

00:05:02 --> 00:05:46
			Surah verse 34, whereby Allah subhanahu wa tada says, 104 b la D in Allah de Cana masuleh. Allah
subhana wa Taala. In his glorious book the Quran he says and fulfill and fulfill every covenant. A
covenant is an agreement, fulfill your agreements, a promise is in agreement, fulfill your promises.
And then Allah subhanahu wa taala says, Verily, verily, the covenant will be questioned about you
will be questioned about your promises. We will be questioned about the promises that we make

00:05:47 --> 00:06:21
			the next verse that was mentioned, or that a man will know we rahima who love who Tyler included, is
from source and verse 91, Allah subhanho wa Taala says 104 big dilemma he either I had to and
fulfill the covenant of Allah, when you have made an agreement, when you have made a covenant. So
this is another area. The third area that emammal Now we included

00:06:22 --> 00:06:48
			is from Surah to the mat either in the very first verse, yeah, you have Lavina Amano, our food bill
Roku, fulfill or you have believed it's an instruction or directive towards the moon towards the
moon, meaning the believers, Allah subhanahu wa taala says, are you who have believed fulfill your
obligations, fulfill your obligations?

00:06:49 --> 00:07:41
			And in another verse, from Surah, two soft verse, verses two and three, Allah subhanho wa Taala says
yeah, au Halina, no, Lima Taku Luna, ma Latifah Luna kabu Rama Katana in de la he and Taku mela
falloon again, Allah azza wa jal is addressing the believers then what mean and he says, Oh you who
have believed? So one of the traits of a believer and one of the characteristics of a movement of a
believer is that he fulfills his promise. He fulfills his promise. Are you who have believed Lima
taco Luna, why do you say that what you do not do? Lima taco Luna meloetta falloon Why do you say
that which you do not do? So it's about fulfilling what you say.

00:07:42 --> 00:08:22
			Allah subhana wa eila concludes in this area by saying Gabor mccurtain are in the law he and Hulu
malata falloon, most hateful, most hateful it is hated by Allah azza wa jal Allah creator, it is
most hateful with Allah that you say that which you do not do that you say that which is which you
do not do and we know this as being hypocrisy, the hypocrisy hypocrisy of an action and we're going
to talk about that as a member no Rahim Allah Allah He includes the hadith of hypocrisy and the
traits of hypocrisy. Now,

00:08:23 --> 00:08:59
			before I delve into the Hadith that emammal No, we rahima who love with Tyler included, I want to
talk about I had and your promises, okay, when it comes to your promise, we all as human beings made
a promise with Allah azza wa jal, first and foremost, Allah huduma Allah, we have made a promise
with Allah diligent. And you might be asking, when did we make a promise with Allah azza wa jal? I
don't remember making a promise with Allah azza wa jal, Allah azza wa jal in Surah Al Ashraf of the
Quran in verse 172.

00:09:00 --> 00:09:02
			He reminds us of I had,

00:09:04 --> 00:09:11
			he reminds us of an agreement of a covenant that took place between us when we were souls. When we
were

00:09:13 --> 00:09:22
			when we were souls with I had that we took with Allah azza wa jal. What is that promise? What is
that I had? What is that agreement that we agreed with with Allah azza wa jal

00:09:24 --> 00:09:28
			and the Muslim of Eman in the Muslim of Imam Ahmed,

00:09:29 --> 00:09:43
			Muslim, Imam Ahmed, and this is a hadith that is narrated by Eben Abbess from the Allahu anhu and
this hadith has been authenticated it is found in a sincere

00:09:44 --> 00:09:59
			sencilla of the Hadith that is Sahaja authentic. The profits are alone while he was selling them he
said that when Allah azza wa jal created our forefather Adam, Adam alayhis, salaam Adam made the
Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

00:10:00 --> 00:10:45
			When Eliza gel created Adam, he took a covenant or an agreement agreement from him. Then he
extracted from him from Adam, all of his descendants, you know, we are all the children of Adam and
Eve his cell. And so he, he extracted from him, all of his descendants who would be born until the
end of the world, all of those people that were going to be born, were extracted from Adam alayhis,
salaam, generation after generation and he spread them out. He spread them out in front of him, in
front of Allah azza wa jal, in order to take an agreement from him

00:10:47 --> 00:10:59
			or from them, and he spoke to them face to face by saying, Allah subhanahu wa taala. He said, He
said to them, unless to be Rob become

00:11:00 --> 00:11:06
			less to be wrong become Am I not your Rob? Am I not your load?

00:11:07 --> 00:11:35
			And they said, Yes, kala Bella, and they replied, Yes, and we testify to it. Then Allah subhanho wa
Taala, he explained why he had all of mankind, bear witness, that he was the creator and the only
dietary or deity, God worthy of worship, so that they can so so that in case mankind

00:11:36 --> 00:11:55
			in case mankind should say on the Day of Judgment, surely we were unaware of all of this or we had
no idea of this. So in sort of an hour of Allah subhanho wa Taala says, What is the alpha rabuka min
Benny Adam, I mean, the hoodie Henrietta home

00:11:56 --> 00:12:02
			and mentioned when you load took from the children of Adam, from the loins,

00:12:03 --> 00:12:11
			the sentence was had a Humala and forcing him to be Rob be calm, and

00:12:12 --> 00:12:35
			and make them testify of themselves saying to them, Am I not your Lord? rubella? They said, they
said, Yes, we have testified this court rubella shahidan portobella shahina Taku malkia Mati in
Coeur

00:12:38 --> 00:12:38
			d'Alene

00:12:40 --> 00:13:02
			list, you should say on the day of judgment on the Day of Resurrection Yeoman piano, indeed, we were
unaware of this. So we have already entered into an agreement with Allah azza wa jal admitting that
he is our Rob, he is our Creator, he's our Lord, he's our God. He's the only one that deserves to be
worshipped.

00:13:03 --> 00:13:12
			So therefore, that's why when people become Muslims, when non Muslims, they enter into Islam,

00:13:13 --> 00:13:25
			we say that they have reverted and not converted, because originally they were Muslims. They were
Muslims. And they have

00:13:26 --> 00:13:34
			con reverted and not converted, they have reverted and not converted to Islam. So

00:13:35 --> 00:13:47
			this is why we say everybody could elude in the province. I said Lem said kulu, then you do Anil
fitrah. Every newborn is born in the state of fitrah.

00:13:48 --> 00:14:40
			In the state of fitrah. So it is the parents progress lm said is about why it is the parents that
that will will make him a Jew or a Christian, or a fire worshipper, or a majority. So we are all
born as human beings as Muslims. And the word Islam means submission and surrender and obedience to
Allah azza wa jal. That's what Islam means. Islam means surrender and submission, submitting your
will to the will of Allah azza wa jal. So, the first agreement that we should be fulfilling is the
agreement or I had that we have with our channel. The second I heard, the second type of promise
that we should be fulfilling is I had that we have with people with mankind promises that and

00:14:40 --> 00:15:00
			agreements that we have entered into with mankind. Now, it could be an agreement with another
Muslim, between a Muslim and a Muslim, or it couldn't be an agreement between a Muslim and a non
Muslim a disbeliever with a

00:15:00 --> 00:15:12
			Caf here, okay, that agreement should also be fulfilled. When a Muslim has an agreement with a non
Muslim, that agreement must also be honored.

00:15:13 --> 00:15:18
			In Sahih Muslim we have the situation whereby

00:15:19 --> 00:15:26
			a couple of the Sahaba a couple of us a habit of their loved one, Homer were coming to Medina.

00:15:28 --> 00:15:41
			And on the way to Medina, just as they were about to enter, they came across some mushriks, some
polytheists, some disbelievers and these two Muslims

00:15:42 --> 00:15:44
			feed for their lives.

00:15:46 --> 00:16:28
			And so, the mushrik said to them, where are you going? They said, we're going to Medina. They said,
Are you going to join Mohamed? Are you going to join Muhammad? And I said, No, we're going to we're
going to Medina. They said, Look, we will set you free, we will not do anything to you, as long as
you promise not to fight with Mohammed Salim against us. So they entered into an agreement, they
entered into an agreement with these mushriks when these two Sahaba they came to the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:16:29 --> 00:16:34
			And I think one of them was who they forgive ngulia men.

00:16:36 --> 00:16:45
			When they came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. They mentioned what happened. The Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he said, fulfill your agreement.

00:16:46 --> 00:16:50
			Fulfill your agreement. In other words, you are not to fight with me against them.

00:16:51 --> 00:17:03
			You have entered into this agreement, fulfill your agreement, and we ask Allah azza wa jal to help
us against them. So he turned to Allah for victory, asking Allah xojo to aid him

00:17:05 --> 00:17:31
			when the time comes. So yes, Muslims do fulfill their agreements that they have with non Muslims,
and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he would engage, he would engage in transactions with
the Jews that were living in Medina. And we know, for example, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wasallam. Once he purchased

00:17:32 --> 00:18:27
			he purchased some, some barley, some barley from a Jew, he purchased 30 saw a saw two handfuls, he
purchased 30 you know, two handfuls of, of barley that he purchased on credit because he never had
the money at that time to pay for the barley. And so the profits are low and he was selling them he
gave us security, he gave an iron, an iron armor to the Jew, he as a mortgage, he said, you can hold
on to this until I I pay what I owe you. And when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam died, he
hadn't paid that Jude the money that he owed for the Bali, so therefore the iron armor remains in
the custody of the Jew. That was the security of money. So the purpose of the law while he was

00:18:27 --> 00:18:33
			Salamis dealing with the Jews and dealing with the people of the book that were around him.

00:18:34 --> 00:18:58
			So it's very important to remember to honor and to fulfill your promises and your agreements. Even
they though they may be with a non Muslim and that you will be asked about your promises and the
fulfillment of your promises on the Day of Judgment. Now, let's talk about some of the Hadith mmm no
Rahim Allah who Thailand hyla included in this chapter.

00:19:01 --> 00:19:17
			The first Hadees is the hadith of Abu hurayrah the Allahu Allahu wa and it's originally found in
Bukhari and Muslim. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, your total Mona Lisa laughs He
said,

00:19:18 --> 00:19:21
			three other signs of a hypocrite.

00:19:22 --> 00:19:25
			There are three signs of a hypocrite, a monastic.

00:19:27 --> 00:19:32
			And then he goes on to list them. And he said either had the fact

00:19:33 --> 00:19:52
			that when he makes a when he speaks, he lies Hadeeth his speech, but when we talk about the Hadith
in the context of Islam, it is the words and the actions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
But the word Hadith linguistically means speech.

00:19:53 --> 00:19:59
			Hadith either had death, that when he speaks he lies Kevin. Kevin

00:20:00 --> 00:20:07
			is lying and the practitioner of Kathy era can Zeb is Elia kozub.

00:20:09 --> 00:20:24
			So he said either had difficulty with either one either, if and when he makes a promise he breaks
his promise. And when he makes a promise, he breaks his promise. Well, either why they're

00:20:25 --> 00:20:36
			left with either a two minute hon. And when he betrays, when he's trusted with something, he betrays
his trust, he betrays the trust.

00:20:38 --> 00:20:38
			So here

00:20:40 --> 00:20:43
			the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is

00:20:45 --> 00:21:14
			advising us or pointing out what are the signs of a monastic of a hypocrite, so that we don't become
hypocrites. And in another generation, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam added to this he
said, we're in salam wa Salatu was ama and no Muslim, even even if he observes sound, which is
fasting,

00:21:15 --> 00:21:19
			and he performs salah and he claims to be a Muslim.

00:21:21 --> 00:21:32
			The next Hadees that a man will know we included is the hadith of Abdullah ibn amor Ebony laughs
radi Allahu anhu man

00:21:34 --> 00:21:45
			that the prophets of Allah wa alayhi wa sallam said our burn out about four are bound man couldn't
fee he can Muna fee upon Holly son.

00:21:48 --> 00:22:05
			For qualities, if they are found, or four traits, four traits if they are found in a person, they
will make that person as she or I complete, Mona complete hypocrite.

00:22:08 --> 00:22:38
			And he said women can at Fie hustler one min one can at Fie hustler don't mean an effect. But anyone
who possesses one of them, he possesses one of the characteristics of an effect. So you if you have
these following four characteristics in you, you're a hypocrite, complete hypocrite. But if you have
one of these traits, then you have one of the traits of nofap and therefore you are not a complete
hypocrite.

00:22:42 --> 00:22:46
			Until you leave it had to die until you live off that trait.

00:22:48 --> 00:23:02
			And then he says, he mentions them either to Mina Han, when he is interested, he betrays the trust.
Well either had the effect and when he speaks he lies.

00:23:04 --> 00:23:08
			Well, either I had a father, and

00:23:09 --> 00:23:13
			when he promises he acts trichur treacherously

00:23:16 --> 00:23:24
			what is the horse armor federal and when he argues, he behaves in a very imprudent or insulting
manner.

00:23:26 --> 00:23:31
			very insulting manner, when he argues. So

00:23:32 --> 00:23:36
			a very serious Hadith, the hadith of Al Muna.

00:23:37 --> 00:23:38
			Now,

00:23:39 --> 00:23:54
			the US will have no effect or the what is the fundamental trait of a monastic of a hypocrite is that
he conceals or he hides. So we call this an Arabic

00:23:55 --> 00:24:22
			the roadmap when they refer to this, they refer to this as a toldja, concealment or hiding, whereby
you hide your evil and you show your good, or you hide your poofer and you show a man and you show
that you're a believer, this is hypocrisy. This is the fact this is tolia showing something that you
really are not.

00:24:23 --> 00:24:24
			And

00:24:25 --> 00:24:41
			this hadith outlines the the traits, the traits of a monastic. Now, during the lifetime of the
Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam, there actually existed a group of munaf yeppoon, of hypocrites.
And

00:24:42 --> 00:24:53
			they actually met the characteristics and the traits as outlined in these two ahaadeeth. Now, even
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he didn't know

00:24:55 --> 00:24:59
			hardly knew what lay in the hearts of people. Despite the

00:25:00 --> 00:25:06
			Being a professor of law while he was selling. Now he did know some of them he didn't know who were
some of them whenever you're gone.

00:25:09 --> 00:25:13
			Now, when it comes to the nofap

00:25:15 --> 00:25:21
			nifa, or hypocrisy is of two types, there is an effect of your,

00:25:22 --> 00:25:42
			as the other might have said, It relates to your faith or your belief. And the second type of effect
is related to your practice to your actions. So there is an effect of belief and an effect of a man
of actions.

00:25:43 --> 00:26:02
			Now, in the case of an effect of your ATM card, or your belief, which is the first case, this is
where a monastic or a hypocrite conceals his this belief in his heart, but verbally professes Islam.

00:26:04 --> 00:26:20
			So, on the outside, he says, I'm Muslim, but on the inside, he doesn't believe in the tenets of
Islam. He doesn't believe in our candle, a man and a man will be led or Malaika t wakatobi. He will
surely he will after World War

00:26:22 --> 00:26:37
			II belief in Allah. These are the fundamental six fundamental beliefs of a Muslim belief in Allah
azza wa jal, and a man who believe Amala ekati he is angels were called to be he and his scriptures
was truly the prophets and messengers that were sent to mankind.

00:26:38 --> 00:26:46
			While your mill acid which is the last day of judgment, heaven Hill, Divine Decree, the sixth one to
cover will cover.

00:26:47 --> 00:26:52
			We have to believe in all of these articles have faith in all of these tenets.

00:26:53 --> 00:27:16
			So anybody who does not who conceals this belief, who conceals disbelief and shows belief, he is a
monastic, and he will be in the lowest part of the Hellfire in the depth of the Hellfire, which is
the worst part of the hellfire. Because Allah azza wa jal in the Quran.

00:27:18 --> 00:27:48
			He says in Surah Nisa, verse 145, in Mona Tina Fidel kill is fairly mean. And now, the Mona coupon,
the Mona Lisa, in the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the hellfire. And this is referring
to the hypocrisy of belief, the hypocrisy of your part of your belief. Now, in the case of the knee
effect of the ml of the action,

00:27:49 --> 00:27:55
			a man Yeah, I mean, he does have faith in his heart, he does have that he that he does have the man.

00:27:57 --> 00:28:00
			However, he

00:28:01 --> 00:28:17
			has a lot of these traits, so tend to see tendencies that the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam
outlined when he speaks he lies. When he's interested, he, he betrays the trust. When he promises he
breaks his promise.

00:28:19 --> 00:28:24
			When he argues he behaves in a very imprudent or insulting manner.

00:28:26 --> 00:28:35
			If you have all four characteristics, you're a complete hypocrite, but if you only have one of them,
then you have one of the traits of nofap. So therefore,

00:28:36 --> 00:28:38
			having said this,

00:28:40 --> 00:28:41
			when it comes to

00:28:44 --> 00:28:51
			nefab a person is not necessarily 100% calf hair, or 100% believer,

00:28:53 --> 00:29:04
			he may possess the traits of the two. So a Muslim may possess traits of poofer of the people of
Cofer, or this belief and may possess traits of a man.

00:29:05 --> 00:29:22
			So for example, you can have traits of hypocrisy, traits of a man traits of disability disobedience,
traits of justice, traits of enmity, traits of loyalty traits of disloyalty. So there's a mixture a
mixture of the two.

00:29:26 --> 00:29:34
			So therefore, the hadith of an effect, my dear brothers and sisters in Islam, it teaches us that a
Muslim may possess traits of a man and traits of ninja

00:29:37 --> 00:29:38
			and

00:29:39 --> 00:29:43
			we're going on now to the next Hadith that was mentioned here.

00:29:45 --> 00:29:58
			And that is the hadith of jabiru or the Allahu anhu. He reported that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam said Team jabeen is one of the Sahaba of the prophets of Allah while he was selling,
Jabberwocky Allah one

00:30:00 --> 00:30:17
			He said that when the revenues of Bahrain will arrive, I shall give you such and such. So the
problems I sent him had promised, Jabir, that when the revenues some wealth that was coming from
behind

00:30:18 --> 00:30:24
			the area at that time when it comes to processor and the processor lamp promised him a share of
that.

00:30:26 --> 00:30:39
			So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he passed away before the revenues were received. So they
did receive the revenues, but by the time they received the revenues, the prophet SAW Selim had
passed away he had died.

00:30:41 --> 00:30:42
			And

00:30:43 --> 00:30:48
			when they they arrived during the healing of Abu Bakar love the loved one who

00:30:50 --> 00:31:02
			was the halifa. And so abubaker or their loved one who he ordered to be announced, that anyone whom
the Messenger of Allah saw sell and promised or owed, anything should come to him.

00:31:03 --> 00:31:08
			Booker said, if the prophet SAW Selim owes anything to anyone to come and see abubaker

00:31:09 --> 00:31:10
			so

00:31:12 --> 00:31:22
			Jed, there was a loved one who he went to him, and he said, messenger of Allah had said to me, such
and such, so abubaker

00:31:24 --> 00:31:29
			took a double handful out of the money and gave it to me. In other words, he gave it to Jabba.

00:31:30 --> 00:31:38
			I counted it and found that it was 500. Durham's 500. Durham's.

00:31:39 --> 00:32:27
			Then Abu Bakar Robbie Allah one who said to me, said the Jabir take twice as much more of that
amount. And the Hadith is found in Bukhari, and Muslim. So the point, the moral here, the moral of
this hadith being included in this chapter, is that once you die, you will not plead of anything
that you own. Just because you die doesn't mean you cease to owe people what is rightfully owed to
them. And that's why in Islam, if you have something that you owe to others, you should not go to
sleep without having written a will written it down, I owe such money, or wealth or whatever it is.

00:32:28 --> 00:32:38
			So, the fulfillment of the deceased pledge is what we learn from here. If you if somebody has
pledged something, and then they have died,

00:32:40 --> 00:33:12
			then those who are responsible, the the sentence, so the sentence, those people, the family members
should ensure that the promises of the deceased are fulfilled. And anything that's outstanding,
should be paid back. And that's why we have a common practice and handler in our communities. And
inshallah we continue to implement this, that when somebody dies from your family, you should make
an announcement and say, we the family of such and such,

00:33:13 --> 00:33:27
			would like to the community to know that anybody who is owed anything by the deceased, to come and
see the family members so we can fulfill the promise and the pledge of the deceased.

00:33:29 --> 00:33:44
			Because we know in Islam, even the Mujahid who dies in the battlefield is forgiving everything
except for what he owes to somebody else. So it's a serious matter.

00:33:45 --> 00:33:48
			And everybody should be given back what is owed to them.

00:33:50 --> 00:33:51
			Muslim or non Muslim.

00:33:53 --> 00:33:56
			So we have a responsibility of fulfilling our pledges.

00:33:57 --> 00:34:09
			And the pledges of our fam family members that have deceased just as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam, we know that he when he died, he had

00:34:10 --> 00:34:27
			mortgaged his iron armor to a Jew. And it's to that extent that Yanni the promises should be
fulfilled. So my dear brothers and sisters in Islam, today's presentation was about fulfilling your
promises,

00:34:28 --> 00:34:32
			and ensuring that we

00:34:34 --> 00:34:44
			steer away and keep away from the traits of nofap of hypocrisy that the Hadith outlined, that we
keep away from the traits of an effect.

00:34:45 --> 00:34:50
			And we saw how that a person could still be a believer,

00:34:52 --> 00:34:59
			but have the traits of new facts that are related to actions. However, if a person has the

00:35:00 --> 00:35:27
			Wrong belief in Allah azza wa jal in his heart and He manifests otherwise, that this is a new fact
that can take a person out of the realm of Islam, and which could actually see a person be in the
lowest and the deepest part of the Hellfire as per the area in Surah Nisa heatherwood Allahu IMO
