all praises due to Allah Who is magnificent in his essence perfect in his attributes undeniable in His presence. All praise is due to Allah Who has the most magnificent names of praise that is forever for him praise that eternally remains me he said Peace and blessings in their most perfect fashion. Me saying greetings and salutations that are complete and everlasting upon the best of his creation. Muhammad Sallallahu it was ended up made perfect his rank and elevate his station for he taught us what we did not know and he gave and he gave and he gave because he loved us. So ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada says in the Quran, oh you will believe your Allah as he deserves to be feared and do
not die except in a state of Islam. And Allah subhana data says, Oh mankind Fear your Lord who created you from a single soul and produce from that soul it's made and made from their combination many men and women so Fear your Lord whom you ask each other by and by the ties of kinship, verily, Allah is Ever Watchful over you. And Allah says, Oh, you who believe fear Allah and say that which is correct, he will correct for you your deeds, and forgive you your sense. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, then they are indeed victorious. As for what follows
aloha and Muslim. Both report that Earth man did not follow the law and who and he was immutable meaning
when he was the Khalifa da Bilbo, that he called forward some water for will do. And he began to wash his hands outside of the vessel.
And so he washed his his hands three times. So my mug Madonna was sent Chuck
and then he made my mother he raised his mouth and his nose three times. From Vasilyeva, who Saracen and then he washed his face three times, where they hit Illman Facchini selasa and then he washed his hands his fingertips to his elbows three times from Mombasa Hi Bella, and then he wiped over his head from Mombasa kita are killed Tyrese Lee Saracen and then he washed
his two feet three times. So this is a description of Waldo as man when I found out on the line who is showing people how to perform
and then Earth model the line who after showing them how to make will do he said, I heard Rasulullah sallallahu who was sitting them say man thought by now you'll do he had whoever makes will do like this will do of mine. So masala like I attained and then praise Torok eyes lie you had the fluffy Hema and AFSA in which that person does not entertain any sort of self dialog. There's no internal distraction happening if you're able to make this perfect will do. And then you are able to pray to rock eyes undistracted lafer Allahu Allahu maddaddam I'm in them de Allah Subhana Allah Allah forgives their previous sense. This is an app
fact that is so accessible. In fact, it is accessible to all of us here today. It's accessible, we can all go and perfect our will do, we can all go and pray to rock us. But as it is accessible, it is also challenging because we are all very aware that as soon as a person enters into solo, what happens shaytaan throws everything including the kitchen sink at you, to distract you and remind you about your work and your project and your school and your vacation and your bills and where you parked your car and where you left your keys. Everything comes to our mind during Salah and hence
the reward of this action in which a person prays to us that are perfect to like guys that are distraction free. Allah subhana wa Tada says, But Meena Allah then home for your Salah to him, Hi, Sharon, they are successful. The believers who are the ones who have mindfulness, presence, humility in their prayer. And so in this brief intervention that I wanted to share some of the things that we can do to increase our mindfulness to increase our presence to increase our for sure. And our prayer, what are some of the things that we can do? What are practical things that we can do today, right now Inshallah, out of this prayer that we're about to pray right now, to increase our
mindfulness? Number one, the first.
And this is very simple and very straightforward,
is to simply change it up. Add variety, when you have taken this route to the message it a million times. And every week, you get back into your car and you drive your route to work, or you drive your wife back home, and you know it like the back of your hand, you are able to do it while being incredibly unaware of the road, you're not focused on the road at all, because you know it, you just end up in front of your house, you end up back at work. But when there is a detour, say, for example, you're talking to somebody on the phone.
And you're not paying attention to the roads or the lights or anything like that. But there is a detour, the road is blocked. And now you have to take this long way that you've never taken before through back roads that you've never taken before. What do you say to that person on the phone?
You say hold on a second. Let me let me call you back. Why? Because I need to focus. I need to know where I'm at. Similarly, when a person prays the same salon every single day, it becomes very easy for you to put that salon on autopilot. That's your natural inclination is going to be to put it on all autopilot. So how do you force yourself to come off of autopilot? It's by reciting soil that you don't normally recite. You have your routine Kulu Allah who has the dijanna, sublet whatever that routine is break away from that routine and dust off those chapters that are not in your regular rotation. That's why you'll find every station of the prayer has different things that you can say.
When you come up from Roku or you can say about Ben I like Ken Ham ham them because your auntie Eva Mubarak and fee you can continue on I understand that it will match you can continue on I hope Omar Abdullah Abdullah Abdullah, Houma, la manera, Lima,
Lima manette, and it goes on the scar are many that you can make in every station of the prayer, every segment that you make is an opportunity for you to make dua to Allah subhanaw taala, for you to have a conversation for you to have a meeting with the King of kings. And so every prayer every such though, these twos these four stages that we're about to make now are incredibly valuable real estate, what are your dreams? What are your aspirations What are your pains, what are your problems that you invoke Allah Subhana Allah Allah to solve. And so number one is variety. Number one is variety, to include variety into your prayer number two, is to remove internal and external
distractions to remove internal and external distractions. And so we see in the Sunnah of the prophets of Allah Hadi, who said to them, the removal of physical distractions that were outside Rasulullah sallallahu. They're setting them as one time praying in the house of Allah Aisha, and she had brought a curtain that had pictures on it. And so when the prophets of Allah de Sydenham prayed in the house, he then told it, he said, get rid of this curtain because it's distracted me from my prayer. On another occasion, the province of Allah they send them is wearing a garment. And that garment distracted the province of alladia, sending him from his parents, so he got rid of that
garment. Now for us. We're not at that level where we need to change our shirts or change our prayer rugs or anything like that. But we have lots of things in the house that distract us we have our phones that distract us that distract us. So turning off your ringer before the Salah, we have the TVs that distract us we have a lot of noise around us that distracts us. So removing those physical distractions, those external distractions, but then there are internal distractions that as well. And so the Prophet SAW Allah do send them said that a person should not pray.
Well, who are you? Were you
Who are you Darth Vader who and Akbar than a person should not pray while they are in need of using the bathroom. A person shouldn't pray like that a person should not pray to help with the bomb. The Prophet sallallahu Sallam also says a person should not pray when food has been presented, a person should not pray when they are sleepy. So in all of these circumstances where a person will be distracted from the prayer, that they remove that distraction so that they enter into the prayer with focus. And that brings us to number three, which is emptying your heart before the prayer, emptying your heart before the prayer. Sometimes, you pray a lot at work. And there's a million
things happening around you. You pray the Lord in the middle of the day, and there's so many tasks that you still have to get done. And so of the exercises that people encourage, to relieve your body of stress or to relieve your mind or strength is to do what they call a brain dump. Brain Dump is simply you write down everything that's on your mind. So for the next five minutes, I'm just writing down everything that's coming to my mind everything that I need to do today or tomorrow in the next week. I write it all down. So it's not taking up storage in my mind anymore. Because if it's taking up storage in my mind, then it's going to bounce around and it's going to bounce around and guess
what it's going to show up. It's going to show up in the solar for sure. It's going to show up in the solar for sure. I showed all the law and how she asked the province of allied SLM about if defer to his solar, she asked him about, she asked him about distraction in the prayer. And he said that is a stealing that shaytaan does from the prayer because there's nothing that is more valuable to you. And either unless the law that we offer, there's nothing that we're going to be questioned not on the day of judgment before the Salah, and so shaytaan if there is anything that he can do to rob you of this prayer, than he'll rob you to rob you of this prayer, then he'll rob you and so
removing, emptying your heart before the prayer number four, is to recognize that rarely is the salah perfected quickly. You know there's a famous Hadith of the man who prayed his prayer badly.
A man prayed and then the Prophet satellite is setting them said to him out of jail for suddenly for them to suddenly he told them go back and pray you didn't pray and the man went and prayed again, and the prophets of Allah this and I'm told him again, he's a go back and pray because you didn't pray and then the man went and prayed again. And the province little lady said when he came back, the prophet Salah lady said and told him and he said, Go back and pray because you didn't pray. And the man said, Yeah, I can't pray any prayer. This is my best prayer. Like I don't know what else to add. And so the Prophet sallallahu send them then told him how to pray. He taught him how to pray.
And so of the things that he told him is that he said that he said, make beer
he said either come to La sala firstly the Lord will perfect your will do so Mr. biller table Africa beer and then face the table and make tech beer. What could it be my dear sir, I'm at the minute Quran and read whatever is easy for you over the Quran. For Monica hotma inna rakia, he said and then made a cuckoo until you are tranquil in your record, you've reached serenity in your record, you're not in motion anymore. A lot of people when they go into court or they bounce up and down. They're never still for a moment. The province cellulitis Adam says reached the level of stillness in your record had that ultimately Nevada and from our fire department and then he said stand up
until you're completely upright. A lot of people never come up right? They're at a 45 or 50 degree angle or 60 degree angle and they're already back towards sujood the province of colitis and them said no stand up completely until you are completely erect. And then he says, for Mr. Tata Tata inside you then some Marfa hat that is still worth my energy. Listen again. The province of Eliason continues on but the point here, what is continuing in every moment of the prayer is this notion of ultimate non
tranquility, every station, everything should come to a complete stop. You should you should rest in every station of the prayer. Now, what is the difference between a person who rushes through the prayer and a person who perfects each station of the prayer meaning the difference in time? What's the difference in time, the person who rushes through the prayer that person who just got his Salah rejected three times by the province of allied Islam, and a person a person who prays a deliberate measured prayer, what's the difference in time, it's going to be two minutes or three minutes. It's not going to be seven, it's not going to be 10. So many times when we're rushing through salah,
we're rushing to shave off two minutes. We're robbing ourselves of our salon to save two minutes, three minutes. And so the fourth is to take your time and recognize that rarely is the salon perfected quickly. Take your time, focus on stillness, focus on presence. And the last thing that I mentioned Inshallah, tada. The fifth
is to learn what you can have the meanings of the prayer. What does Allahu Akbar mean? And why are you saying Allahu Akbar, as you go through every station of the prayer, you know, the written have written amazing books on a slide of Salah the secrets of the prayer, the meanings of the prayer, what are what are you saying, when you say Allah What Why are you casting everything behind you like this? Allah Subhana Allah had is greater or greater than what Allah is greater than one
I work Allah is greater than my business Allah is greater than my school Allah is greater than my family Allah is greater you're casting everything behind you. And why are you every station you're going into a little corner you're saying Allahu Akbar again as if you're a camera refocusing because the distractions come non stop and so again when you go into scheduled you're reminding yourself again Allah Akbar then whatever it is that just distracted me. And when you're reciting Surah Fatiha, what does that mean? And why is it Subhan Allah and Allah as you are lowering yourself to the lowest position that you ever enter into your in your life and sujood and so learning the
meanings of the prayer and there are lots of resources online that you can access inshallah to Allah amazing videos that you can find on this topic as well as books aboard a massive metal monster Corolla they were looking for stuff in Navajo Rahim.
Al hamdu lillah wa salatu salam ala Rasulillah while it was so heavy sending Seaman cathedra for those of you who are just joining us, we were talking about ways that a person can increase their presence in their prayer, mindfulness in their prayer, and we mentioned five points. The first is to take your time. The second is to increase variety in your prayer. The third is to remove physical distractions. Number four was to empty your heart before the prayer and number five was to learn the meaning of what you're saying in the prayer we ask ALLAH SubhanA data to make us have a hush and it'll hush it up that we ask Allah subhana wa to add to make the Salah the sweetness of art of our
lives. We ask Allah subhana wa Tada to accept from us our prayer and all of our deeds alone. minetest local general marketability Hamiltonian Rahman an early becoming a neuroma credibility Hamiltonian Muhammad Allahu Martina fusina Taqwa psyche Hunter Haldeman cerca Antonio hom Hola, hola.
