			During the course of this day we are speaking about the lives of these great and illustrious
companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Those people that are large that was chosen,
selected, he selected himself Subhana, Allah, to be the companions and the disciples, and the
defenders of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. It is difficult, as I'm sure you've already
figured out from today difficult to summarize the life of decades into shutter such a short space of
time.
		

			But if we don't take anything away from this conference today, other than the fact that we realize
and we come to acknowledge the role that these pioneers played within our religion, the role that
the companions or the Allahu anhu played in our religion, the sacrifices that they made, the lengths
that they went to the efforts that they endured, simply so that today by the permission of Allah, in
places like Birmingham, in the UK, 2017, nearly 2018 2018, they would be people who would know this
statement and the meaning of La ilaha illAllah.
		

			If you don't take anything away from today, except that acknowledgement and that realization of the
role that they played, and that increases you in your love for them. That's enough. It's sufficient,
because to love the companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, it is one of the greatest
acts of worship. It shows that you have a connection to your history, to your tradition to your
roots, it shows that you acknowledge that you are standing on the shoulders of giants, literally.
And so then to learn about those giants and to learn something, even if it is a very small amount,
from their lives, from what they sacrificed from what they endured. That is something it is the very
		

			least that we owe to them.
		

			This companion that we're going to speak about Dolly Parton, one of the Allahu Allah, the fourth of
the whole life of Islam, the son in law, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and his first
cousin, one of the earliest Muslims, if not the first from amongst the youth from amongst the
children, to accept Islam. I want us whilst we're going through this lecture, to think about the
sacrifices that this one companion mean, and how that should increase us in our love for Allah
subhana wa, Tada. You see, what we need to get to doing or what we need to start doing with these
companions, and with these illustrious figures, is not just simply take from their stories, as if
		

			it's something which we're going to simply pass time with. These stories are not just there to
entertain us and our children. But they are there for us to take lessons from women to benefit. It's
meant to improve us is meant to make us better people. It's meant to be lessons for us so that when
we go through situations in life, that has parallels that we can do draw between us and them, we
know what we need to do. We know how to stay the course, we know the path that we need to tread. In
order to attain a large level just pleasure.
		

			This companion or you probably allow What I want you just to think about one thing, I've taken
three, four or five incidents from his life that we're going to speak about. But what I want you to
concentrate on, whilst I'm speaking, is I want you to think about the character of this man, the
character of this individual, for a person to do what he did, for a person to sacrifice in the way
that ideal of the loved one sacrificed. It means that he realized that what he was sacrificing for
was something extremely precious. It's something important. You know, many of us were second
generation immigrants, maybe third generation immigrants, our parents, our grandparents, they came
		

			to this country from far away. They left their families, they left behind the walls, they left
behind their parents, they left behind their homelands. And they traveled in difficulty and they
came in they lived in this country. Some of them maybe 1010 to a house live together. They'd work by
day and they'd work by night, they'd share the money and they'd save it because they wanted to bring
their families together. They wanted to bring them over. They wanted to provide a better future for
their children. They wanted to benefit their families back home as well. That sacrifice is because
it was something precious something which meant a great deal to them. So when we have companions
		

			like earlier, the Allahu Akbar and Abu Bakr amorous man and all
		

			Those wait companions are the Allahu anhu. Much Marian, when we have them sacrificing is because
they understood that they're sacrificing for something precious. It is something important. It's
something that needs to be preserved. It's something that needs to be passed on from generation to
generation. And what they were preserving was La Ilaha in the law was for the ability for each and
every single one of us to know our Lord and creator, to recognize him subhanho wa Taala and then to
work towards worshiping him to building a connection with the loss of Hannah Montana. And it'll be a

			had many children, and despite being a leader and a noble man, of course, he was extremely poor.

			children will look after them for you or provide for them for you. Just like some of us when our
parents came to this country, their nephews came with them. Their nieces came with them a cousin
came with them helping out your family. Abu Talib said my son Artie, one of my eldest children,
leave him with me I need him. But the rest you can take whoever you wish to look after you can take.
So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam took early robiola one and then a bass to Java and others

sallam. And that's something which shows you that if you really want these lives of the companions,
to impact upon our children, we need to start taking some of those attributes and applying them as
well. Don't just read the story to your child or to yourself or to your family and think that that's
it tomorrow, everyone's going to be Abubakar, ominous man. It takes time it takes effort takes a
		

			willingness to change. And the loved one when the prophethood came, when the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam received revelation, as soon as he heard, as soon as he heard, he said La ilaha
illAllah. He didn't say your messenger of Allah. Oh, Mohammed, oh, my cousin. Let me go and speak to
my father Abu Talib and seek permission. Let me go and consult my family. Let me go and see what
their opinion is. He understood. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is an amazing man doesn't
lie. He's not a man who comes as an imposter. He's not a fake. By virtue of his character, he knew
his truthfulness. La Ilaha Illa. Allah, the scholars of Islam of the past, if you go through the
		

			books of history, they often differ as to who was the first Muslim. And they some of them said that
earlier of the Allahu Allah was the first one to accept Islam. And the way the scholars reconcile
between all of these statements was that they said Abu Bakar was the first man Khadija, the first
woman, an admirer of the Allahu, and the first child, the first form amongst the young people to
accept Islam. And the rhodiola run is from the forefront of people who accept Islam. And Anurag. The
Allah one is young in age. Some narration say that he was 15 years younger than the proper system.
Some say more, some say less. He was young at this time he was a man within his youth in the prime

as a young man doesn't fear the harm doesn't fear that torture, because he has now that connection
to Allah subhana wa Tada. And if there's a single lesson from all of the lives of the companions,
collectively, that we can really take and we need to apply in our time. It's how to make that
connection with Allah. When these companions had a strong connection with Allah, a single one of
them was like a mountain. The whole community would come and stand against him. The whole society
		

			would stand against him and oppose him, but a single one of them would have the strength of a
mountain because they had that link to Allah subhana wa Tada. And that's why the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam at the beginning of Islam is cultivating that religion.
		

			Ship within the companions. Fast forward a few years. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam wants
to migrate. He wants to go from Mecca to Medina and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is
allowing the companions to leave in groups and as individuals, with families in pairs in threes and
fours, everyone's leaving, but earlier of the law, one is staying behind. And the rhodiola one no
longer has the protection of his father. A baton was passed away. He no longer has the protection of
his family, because they have become weak on the onslaught of Quraysh. Even the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam is not going to migrate. But as the prophet SAW Selim is going to leave the vast

companions they've already left. There is no one except enemies that are around the house
surrounding the house with their doctors and their knives ready to commit murder. The Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said early you take my place you sleep in my bed. Earlier of your loved
		

			ones, Amina wattana. Look at the character of this individual. Imagine the sacrifice imagine the
mindset to be willing to go into that situation. Earlier rhodiola one was known for his bravery and
his courage. If there's one attribute that you often hear the scholar speaking about with regards to
it, it's his courage wasn't scared when it came to Islam, trusted in Allah had certainty in a large
religion. He said, No problem will messenger of Allah I will stain your bed. But early when I leave,
and you come out in the morning, it's not just an issue of you staying in the bed, or all of the
Trust's and loans that I took from the people, you must repay them as well. Go and fulfill my
		

			chores, my tasks, and then come towards Medina, the prophets, Allah Allah while he was sent me left,
when those people realized that he had left they came into the house, who did they find the sleep in
his bed, earlier of the Allahu Akbar? Now some of the sources of history tell us that they became so
angry with Allah, that they had been duped, they'd been tricked. When they said where's the Prophet
of Allah? Where's Mohammed? He said, I don't know. I don't know where he is. The Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam had left. I don't know where he is. Some of the sources of history say they became
so angry that they beat him severely beat him, because he was the one who was within their grasp.
		

			But they didn't kill him. Earlier of the long run, went and he repaid the loans and trusts of the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and then he left and he went towards Medina alone. It is said
that because of the heat of the desert, he would sleep during the day, and he would walk at night,
at night in pure darkness, not knowing the way not knowing where he is going, he would walk by
himself until he arrived in Medina. This is the character of this great individual idea of the law
one and that is why the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam married him the closest of people to
him, Fatima rhodiola Juana Fatima will be the leader of the women of gender. She was the closest of
		

			the family of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam from his children. She was the only one that
survived him from his children. salallahu alayhi wasallam and she will be the first one from his
family to meet him after his death. When it came to her marriage, either of your loved one came to
the house one day, and he was extremely shy, embarrassed in front of the Prophet sallallahu it will
send them shy. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said What's wrong with it? And it is
quiet. But the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam knows, and he said perhaps you came to seek
Fatima's hand in marriage? He said yes. So messenger of Allah, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
		

			sallam said, What do you have for her dowry? What can you give me for her dowry? He said, I have
nothing or messenger of Allah. I don't own anything. No one, no money, no income, no property, no
possessions. I have nothing.
		

			So the profits on a low while he will sell them said to him, don't you have a shield that I stole
from you some time ago? You're carrying a shield? Don't you have a shield in your possession?
		

			Either of your loved one is thinking this is the daughter of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam. It's a dowry that I will give to our marriage. He's not thinking of some old armor or shield
that he has in his possession as well. That is befitting the daughter of the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wasallam. So he says so messenger of Allah, I have the old shield. He says, Give the shield
to Fatima and you can marry her. That's a dowry. The Prophet son alone while he was seldom used to
love God, Allah one used to love him and that's why you have so many cases.
		

			So many a Hadith, when the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam would go to the house of Fatima and he
would give them advice, because they will pour, they will heart up, they will needy, they weren't
rich, but the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would come and he would say to them, instead of
wealth, instead of servants, say Subhana, Allah 33 times Alhamdulillah 33 times Allahu Akbar 33
times, you have to understand the character of a man of a person that they can take the type of
advice. If your wife, your husband comes to you, and they say, there's a problem, you don't have
enough money, we need to go shopping. You say to them, say Subhan, Allah says it is three times what
		

			response will you get? Don't worry go and fast tomorrow. Instead, it is the statement, it is a
measure of the character value of the loved one, that when he would need things in his life for his
family to provide for his children, the process of setting would say remember Allah instead of only
will remember Allah, the process of selling came to him on one occasion and he said, Oh Ali, if only
you and my daughter Fatima, you stood and might in prayer, pray to Malaysia, the prophet, Allah
rhodiola, one replied, he said, O Messenger of Allah, we sleep at night, if Allah wills we wake up,
and if Allah doesn't, we will steep into

return, you're making an excuse. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would always advise earlier

idea of the loved one is by him and he says, oh, messenger of Allah, allow me to go, I will go. Let
me go and face him. He said, You don't know who this is. This is a blue Abdi will go. But again, the
		

			man is there is his brains and his shouting is boasting. None of the Muslims can come and face me,
Ali rhodiola, who answers a second time on messenger of Allah, let me go. He says already, don't go
you don't know who this man is? A third time again. This man shouts and he asked for people to come
and deal with him. So Allah rhodiola who answers the Messenger of Allah, let me go. So the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said go, and he went and he fought him. And he beat him up the Allahu
Allahu Akbar, an illustrious man. If you were to take just snippets from his life, Abubakar when he
was halifa, Rama when he was horiba, as man when he was caught, he borrowed the Allahu anhu. When
		

			they used to want to depend on someone, it was earlier the Allahu Allah, when the Prophet son alone
while he will send them a go to battle, and they would have a flag or a flag that they would give
the standard bearer.
		

			For the army, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would often choose either of the Allahu Akbar,

The next day the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, Where is it? Where is Ali? Ali is ill he
has some element in his eyes. They bring Alia rhodiola Huang, the process of settling Spitz in his

Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is gathering this massive army to go and fight the poorest to

			But the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says to actually stay behind, you are the governor of

warrior. He's a skilled horseman is one of the bravest of the companions or messenger of Allah, why

connection to Allah subhana wa Tada. We take from him the character that he had, that he would
willingly sacrifice himself for Allah, and for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. This is a
life that we need to not only read, but it's something that we need to bring within ourselves
ingrained within our hearts and minds, is something that we need to teach our children. These need
to be our role models, people like either of your loved one, or people that we should know their
lives inside out. There. When we say our God, Allahu Allah is not just that he's the cousin or the
		

			son in law, but we know his life from A to Zed. Because of how great and illustrious his life is. We
ask Allah subhana wa Taala, that a large soldier shows His mercy upon Allah rhodiola one, and all of
the companions of our Prophet sallallahu it will send them that a large soldier raises their ranks,
to the highest of ranks in in the next life and in gender. And that Alliance gives us the ability to
follow in their footsteps, and to make us from amongst those people who love his companions, or your
loved one to match marine and through that love that a large social one says also a high station in
the in the ranks of paradise. May Allah subhanho wa Taala shower his blessings upon all of us a male
		

			larger which will keep us firm and steadfast upon this religion. So how not applicable is that the
