The speaker discusses the importance of believing in the decree of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, which is the only way a person can fully believe until they believe in the decree. Today's hadith found the collection of ma'am Tell
me the narrators by Jabra ibn Abdulla radiAllahu
anhu where he says that the Prophet Sallallahu
alaihi wa sallam said that a person does
not fully believe until he believes in the
decree of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, the good
and the bad. And until he knows that
whatever has come to him was always going
to come to him and was never going
to miss him. And whatever has missed him
was always going to miss him and was
never was never going to come to him.
Believing in the decree of Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala is one of the 6 pillars of
iman as we all know. And when Jibreel
alaihi wasalam asked the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasalam,
So believing in
in the decree of Allah
is one of the 6 pillars of iman,
and that is the meaning of this hadith
that a person does not truly believe until
they believe
in in all 6 in all 6 of
these pillars.
But believing in the part of believing the
decree of Allah
is knowing that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is
capable of doing anything that He wants. And
that if Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala wants something
to happen, He will pave the way for
that thing to happen. And that if Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has decreed something, it will
happen regardless of whether or not people want
it to happen. Look at the story of
Musa and Faraun for example.
Faraun,
he saw a dream
and the magicians, the sorcerers, the people that
were with him, they told him that the
meaning of this dream is that the fall
of your kingdom is going to be on
the hands of a child that is born
in Bani Israel.
There's only really 2 options, either it's a
true dream or it's a false dream. And
if it's a false dream, it doesn't affect
you. But if it's a true dream, then
no matter what you do, you won't be
able to change the decree of Allah Subhanahu
wa ta'ala. And that is one of the
points that Faraun was missing. So what so
what did Faraun do? He started killing every
male newborn child that is born in Bani
Israel. Why? Because he was scared
that the child that would be the reason
for the fall of his kingdom would be
born. So that is what Faraun wanted, but
Allah
wanted something different and Allah
had decreed something different. So by the Qadr
of Allah, that child was born and Faraun
raised him. And he spent his money on
him and he lived in his palace. And
then when that child grew up, the fall
of his kingdom was on the hands was
on the hands of that child. And that
child was Musa Alaihi Salam.
So we all want we all want different
things, but Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala does does
whatever
he wants. And the lesson for us is
what the prophet said
in the hadith that we mentioned in the
beginning,
know that whatever has come to you was
always meant for you and was always going
to come to you, was never going to
miss you. And whatever has missed you was
never meant for you and and was never
going to was never going going to come
to you. And sometimes,
you know, we you you might have a
a goal that you have set out to
achieve or a dream that you want to
accomplish or you have 1 or 2 things
that you are constantly asking Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala for but it just doesn't
doesn't seem
to becoming
does just doesn't seem to happen. Know that
the situation that you are in is the
best situation for you and that know that
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is capable of giving
you what you want. And know for a
fact that if you had the ability to
choose what was going to happen to you
in the future, if you had the ability
to change the future and choose whatever you
wanted to happen, then you would not choose
except what Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala has already
chosen for you. And Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala's
choice for a person is better than that
the person's choice for themselves. And wallahi, Allah
is more merciful to you than you are
to yourselves. And that's why Umar ibn Khattar
used to say,
He
would say, I don't
mind waking up on a situation or waking
up on something that I love or something
that I hate because I don't know which
one of the 2 there because I don't
know in which of these 2 there is
good for me. So these are just some,
some things to keep in mind. I hope
that was a benefit sha'liarwi. And Imam
