AI: Summary ©
The discussion of shrooming shrockers in Islam, including the "will of Islam" used to avoid offense, is a topic of ongoing discussion. The holy grail is a significant figure in Islam's spiritual teachings, and the worship of Allah is linked to the internet's use of images and the potential for people to be punished. The worship of Allah is linked to the internet's use of images, and the importance of shrooming animals and humans is also discussed. The discussion touches on the topic of the holy grail and its significance to spiritual teachings, as well as the worship of Allah's importance to the creation of everything and the power of stone and watering.

We are going through the tafseer of Surah
Bani Israel or Surah Al-Isra.
And this week inshallah we are starting from
ayah number 40.
Last week we ended the lesson by saying,
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala declaring that those
people that are committing shirk, they are going
to be punished by Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala.
They are going to be,
They are going to be thrown
into the hellfire in the state of disgrace
and in a state of rejection.
Immediately after this is where our lesson starts
from today.
And the background to the first ayah is
that the disbelievers of Quraish, they used to
actually say about Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
that the angels, نَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَهِسْ دَوْتَرَسَ This
was something that was very strange because first
and foremost, they themselves didn't like to have
daughters.
It's well known that in the culture of
the time, in the history of the time,
whenever they used to have daughters, the majority
of them, they just used to bury their
daughters alive.
It's a very common practice at that time
because they felt that it was a disgrace
to have daughters, which Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala mentions in Surah An-Nahl and in
other places in the Quran, Allah subhanahu wa
When any of them
is given glad tidings of a female, then
his face becomes sullen and dark because of
gloominess.
And he swallows his anger and pride inside.
He's basically boiling up inside.
And on top of that,
He hides from
people.
He hides from people because of the bad
news that he's been given because he's so
ashamed to show his face in public.
So this was the attitude that they had
towards having daughters.
But at the same time, they were willing
and prepared to attribute daughters to Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala.
So this was kind of illogical.
It seems illogical on the face of it
that you don't want daughters yourself and you
want daughters for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
It doesn't make sense.
And even if you look at the Western
culture, the description of angels, how they're depicted
in modern, if you see movies and pictures
and things of that nature, they are always
displayed in a way that they look feminine.
So this is not the case.
Angels are neither masculine nor feminine.
They don't have any gender.
But the main issue here is that the
shirk that the people were committing with Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala was in addition to
the shirk that they were committing with the
idols, the shirk that they were committing was
also that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has
daughters and the angels are his daughters.
So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala addresses that
issue.
Did Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala choose
for you sons and also and he himself,
he took from the angels females.
So basically Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is
criticizing them that you want sons for yourself
but when it comes to Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala you attribute daughters to him.
So the attribution of any children to Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala is wrong in the
first place but the ironic thing here is
that you don't want daughters for yourself but
you attribute daughters to Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala.
So that doesn't make sense.
Indeed you are saying
a huge thing.
You are saying something that is very very
big and in other place in the Quran
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala describes this issue
of attributing children to Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَتَفَقَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَتَنْشَقُ الْأَرْضُ وَتَخِرُ
الْجِبَالُ هَدًّا أَنْ دَعُوا لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَلَدًا وَمَا يَنْبَغِي
لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا The thing that they
are saying about Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
that they are attributing children to him It
is something that the heavens and the earth
would basically destroy themselves at the audacity of
making such a claim So this is how
huge this issue was about attributing children to
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and particularly what
the disbelievers of Mecca said that he had
female children in the form of the angels
After that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says
To explain to these people who
are committing shirk Allah says that we have
explained in many many different ways in the
Quran so that people can take heed How
did Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala explain?
Sometimes by giving examples Sometimes by giving comparisons
Sometimes by giving proofs Sometimes by narrating stories
of the previous nations and the Anbiya' alimus
salatu wasalam Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala brings
this again and again in the Quran The
Mufasireen say that the Quran is basically made
up of three things It's made up of
Aqaid, Belief and Qisas meaning stories and the
third thing is Ahkam Aqaid, Beliefs and what
belief we are supposed to have about Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala, the angels, the hereafter
and so on The Qisas means the stories
of the previous nations and the previous Anbiya'
alimus salatu wasalam and Ahkam means the orders
of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that you
should give Zakat, you should perform Hajj, you
should do this, you should not do that
These are Ahkam So the Quran is made
up of these, roughly these three things So
what Allah is saying here is وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا
We explained different things
in the Quran so that people would take
heed Especially specifically those people that are attributing
daughters to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala gave many examples in
the Quran so that they would take heed
But it only
increased them in running away, in moving away,
in despising what was being said to them
So you have This keeps cutting off for
some reason So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
says in other places in the Quran يُضِلُّوا
Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala through the Quran itself he misguides
people So basically many people they take up
the Quran and they would take Ayat from
it With an intention to disprove Islam and
to try to claim that there are contradictions
So those people obviously despite the fact that
they are reading the Quran, despite the fact
that they are studying the Quran يُضِلُّوا بِهِ
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala misguides them through
those same verses And many people they pick
up the Quran with the same intention to
try to disprove Islam But Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala يَهْدِي بِهِ Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala guides those people to Islam through that
So it really depends on what a person
wants and what a person is seeking If
a person is open-minded to the truth
then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala guides him
If not he can be pushed further and
further away So this is what Allah says
The Kuffar of Quraysh
they didn't want anything to do with it
And instead of getting closer to Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala and getting closer to guidance
They got further and
further away and hated and despised what they
were saying More and more the more that
they were advised Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
addresses them and says
Allah is telling those people that commit
shirk That if Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
had gods If there were gods other than
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala Then even those
gods would seek Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
and worship him If they were given a
life, if they were given senses If they
had any senses, they would not want to
be worshipped They themselves would worship Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala Allah is saying here قُلْ
Tell them O Prophet of Allah If there
were with him, with Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala Aliha, gods كَمَا يَقُولُونَ As they are
saying إِذَا لَبْتَقَوْا Most certainly they would seek
A way to the
one who is on the throne Meaning they
themselves would try to seek the one on
the throne Meaning they would try to seek
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala themselves So why
are you worshipping these idols That if they
had a life, they would worship Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala Instead, why don't you just
worship Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala directly سُبْحَانَهُ
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is pure
And he is above عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ What they
are saying about him عُلُوًا كَبِيرًا Very very
high and very very above what they are
saying So basically Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
makes a declaration That any claim that is
made about Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala That
he has any partners He has any sons
That he has any daughters Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala is far above and beyond those
kinds of claims And those claims cannot be
attributed to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala He
is very far away from them After that
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala then He talked
about the issue of the idols If they
had been given a life They would be
worshipping Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala Then related
to that, the next ayah Says that everything
in the creation Everything in the heavens and
the earth Actually praises Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala and worships him
Whatever is in the heavens
And whatever is in the seven heavens And
the earth And whoever is in them Praises
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala It makes the
tasbih of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala So
from that we understand The animals and the
trees And anything that has a life Actually
there's two different opinions Everything basically There's one
opinion that everything Makes the tasbih of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala Whether it has a
ruh or a soul in it or not
That's one opinion And the other opinion is
That only those creations that have a ruh
in it Like animals and humans They are
the ones that Praise Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala Other than that they do not So
these are the two opinions there So I'll
do the translation And then I'm going to
go through some various hadith Which talk about
this issue To sabihu lahus samawatus sab'u
wal ardu wa man fihin Whatever is in
the heavens The seven heavens and the earth
Praise Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala And purify
him Pronounce his purification Wa man fihin And
whoever is in those heavens and the earth
Praise Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala Wa immin
shay'in illa yusabihu bihamdihi walakin la tafqahuna
tasbihahum That everything actually Makes the tasbih of
the praise of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
But you do not understand Oh humans, you
do not understand Their tasbih innahu kana haleeman
ghafoora Indeed Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala He
is haleem and he is ghafoor He is
forbearing and he is forgiving Okay What that
means is That Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
Doesn't punish people immediately For the sins that
they commit He lets them go And lets
them go And lets them go Which is
known in Arabic as istidraaj Okay Inna allaha
layum li lahum Allah says in another verse
in the Quran He gives them He lets
them go Lets them go But when the
time comes Inna akhdahu shadeed Indeed His punishment
Is very very severe At that particular time
So a person should not think That I'm
not being punished for my sins Maybe Allah
is just giving me istidraaj And he's letting
me go for a while But when that
punishment comes It's going to be A huge
problem for me Okay So lets go through
A certain hadith about this issue About things
making tasbih Of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
Firstly A riwayat from Ibn Masud r.a
He said Ibn Masud r.a says That
we used to hear The food making tasbih
While that food was being eaten So Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala Gave them an insight
That they could actually hear The tasbih of
the food While it's being consumed By the
sahaba And in a riwayat of Abu Dhar
r.a The Prophet a.s. He took
in his hand Some hasayat He took in
his hands Some pebbles And the people could
hear From those pebbles The tasbih of the
pebbles Just like the buzzing of bees Just
like the buzzing of bees The pebbles had
a kind of sound Coming from them So
the Prophet a.s. Told them that this
is their tasbih And in a riwayat of
Anas r.a Who narrates from the Prophet
a.s. That he entered upon a people
While they were standing While they were stationary
On their animals Okay Basically they were standing
Okay Horses, camels, whatever it was They were
standing on them Not riding and they were
chatting to each other While they were standing
On those animals So what did the Prophet
a.s. said He said to them Ride
them Safely And leave them safely Ride them
In a good way And leave them in
a good way For
your conversations In the streets And in the
market places Okay Meaning don't use your Horses
and camels as chairs Meaning don't overburden them
Don't sit on them for no reason Okay
And the next thing He says is very
powerful He said There are many animals That
are better than the one That is riding
them There are many animals that are better
Than the one that is riding them And
more remembering of Allah s.w.t Than
the rider itself Just imagine The animal itself
is better And closer to Allah s.w
.t Than the rider itself This is a
very powerful hadith And in another hadith The
Prophet s.a.w. Abdullah ibn Amr Rates
He forbade from killing The frog And he
says So the The sound The riveting sound
What we call in English That the frog
makes Is a form of The Prophet s
.a.w. forbade The killing of frogs As
the Prophet s.a.w. Is the Tasbeeh
The Prophet s.a.w. Said The
Prophet s.a.w. said Shall I not
tell you something What Nuh s.a.w.
said to his son He said to him
That oh my son I order you That
you should say Subhanallah Because this is the
Prayer of the creation This is the prayer
Of the creation And the Tasbeeh of the
creation And through this Tasbeeh The creation is
provided sustenance Okay, so say Subhanallah a lot
This is something that we should Try to
do as much as possible Now there is
One Hadith, now this was the Opinion of
those scholars That they say that all animals
And all stones and everything Basically makes the
Tasbeeh of Allah s.w.t Just as
a side note You've probably seen if you've
been To a Hajj and you visit Medina,
there is one Particular Pillar Where if you
go into the road of the Prophet A
.s. Where the member of the Prophet s
.a.w. Was or the mihrab of where
the Prophet S.a.w. was, there is
A pillar which is right in front Of
that mihrab That pillar actually Is a sign
Of where a tree used to be The
Prophet s.a.w. in the Beginning when
the Masjid was made He used to lean
on a tree To give the Khutbah He
used to basically put his hand or Lean
his back against a tree While he was
giving the Khutbah And then the Sahaba basically
built a member For him, then the Prophet
s.a.w. Started standing on the member
to give the Khutbah And then this tree
Actually started crying And the Sahaba heard All
the Sahaba heard the tree Crying and the
Prophet s.a.w. Got down from the
Member and actually patted it And stroked it
until it Calmed down and the Sahaba Said
that it was crying like a little child
Amazing that Allah s.w.t. has given
These animals And these trees even The power
of perception to such A degree that they
could feel That tasbih and the The glorification
of Allah s.w.t Taking place and
the closeness Of the Prophet s.a.w.
to them And that's why actually Some people,
gardeners actually they say That you should even
Talk to your plants when watering Them and
so on, you should actually talk To your
plants, that's an Amazing thing, that basically They
can hear, they can perceive They have a
level of perception Okay, so this Opinion, these
Riwayat support the opinion That stones, trees Everything
basically makes the Tasbih of Allah s.w
.t. and then the Second opinion is that
everything That has a Ruh in it, it
basically Makes the tasbih of Allah s.w
.t. And they say In support, there's a
Hadith in which the Prophet s.a.w.
He passed by Two graves and he said
Innahuma layu'adhaban Both of them are being
punished by Allah s.w.t Wama yu
'adhabani fee kabir And they're not being punished
for something Big Amma ahduhuma fakana la One
of them, he didn't use to take Precautions
while he was urinating And basically the urine
was splashing onto his Clothes and his body
and therefore Because of that, he's getting punished
In the grave The other person, he used
to Just spread gossip about people So both
of them are being punished Then what the
Prophet s.a.w. did is the Proof
that the scholars have Presented He took a
moist branch Moist means He basically just took
it off a tree It was a fresh
branch and he Split it into two and
he Put one end into one grave And
the other end into the other grave And
then he said That He said that As
long as These two branches don't become dry
They will basically make The punishment decrease They
will make the punishment decrease For the dwellers
of the grave As long as they do
not dry So from this The scholars have
said that Even the trees have a form
of ruh inside them And as long as
A branch is moist That has the ability
To make the tasbih of Allah s.w
.t And the tasbih of those branches Would
have lessened the punishment Of the dwellers of
the grave So these were the Riwayat about
the tasbih Of objects and the tasbih of
the things That are around us Everything in
the creation Makes the tasbih of Allah s
.w.t But you do not understand Their
tasbih Indeed Allah s.w.t He has
forbearance And he is forgiving With that we
finish our lesson today And inshallah we will
continue next week
