			Bismillah Alhamdulillah wa Salatu was Salam ala rasulillah Allah, Allah, he was happy to be here at

the globe. I hope you're doing well. Allah Subhana Allah bless you and preserve you Oh, quick
discussion this morning. Shout Allahu to Allah.
		

			about a topic that gets misunderstood a lot of times or can be a, a major cause for someone to have
this the displeasure of Allah azza wa jal.
		

			The question is what is bid what is bid or innovation? What is innovation in the religion of Allah
subhanho wa Taala. And I'm going to try to make this as easy as it can be to understand in sha Allah
hota Allah.
		

			So I'm going to try to make it as simple as possible.
		

			Bid innovation,
		

			innovation in the religion of Allah subhanho wa Taala is this.
		

			Anything anything that you believe anything that you do,
		

			that you think will bring the pleasure of Allah subhanho wa to Allah, or anything that you believe
		

			will bring you closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala Anna, that you believe to be part and parcel to the
religion that was not practice that was not practiced by the prophet Muhammad Ali salatu salam that
was not permitted to be practiced by the prophet Muhammad eSATA was certain that we do not see in
his Sunnah. Nor do we see practice by the companions of the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa Salaam
		

			for you to do these things, to think that they are part of the religion and will bring you closer to
Allah or bring you the pleasure of Allah subhanho wa Taala. This is big. This is innovation,
anything that you add to the religion, anything that you add to your worship, anything that you add
to your
		

			practices within the religion of Islam, that are not part of the religion that was practiced by the
prophet alayhi salatu salam that means they were not revealed in the Quran, nor will you find them
in the Sunnah. And the Sunnah means that which the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa Salaam himself did,
that which he told to be done or that which he allowed to be done in his presence and did not
disagree with it. Anything outside of this is bid there is innovation in the religion of Allah
subhanho wa Taala and is forbidden and is forbidden. And it is a major sin it is a major sin bid is
worse than sin, in the simple fact that those who commit sin know they commit sins and they will
		

			they can repent from those sins. But someone who does bid or innovation believes that those things
are good, and they will not therefore repent from them, and they will just continue to compound them
on top of themselves. This is innovation. So when it comes to your worship, when it comes to your
worship of Allah subhanho wa Taala Anna, anything that you do to worship Allah should be found
either in the Koran, or in the Sunnah of the Prophet Lisa to a certain practice by him or his
companions. If it is not, then we cannot do it. We cannot do it, there must be some evidence behind
our worship. Because we as Muslims, are only allowed to worship Allah azza wa jal in the way that he
		

			wishes to be worshipped. You cannot add anything to them. The Prophet alayhi salatu was salam, he
told us
		

			that whatever would bring you closer to Allah, I have already told you to do it. Whatever would
bring you closer to Allah, I have already commanded you to do it. Therefore, you cannot add anything
better than the Prophet lays that out to a friend has already given us and anything that would
distance you from Allah. I have already forbade you from it and warned you against it. So therefore,
we don't need to add anything. And also Allah revealed in Surah Merida, during the farewell,
		

			Hajj of the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa Salaam, he revealed Elio magma to lagoon Dina. This day I have
perfected your religion for you. So anything that is commanded anything that is perfect, adding to
it detracts from its
		

			perfectness anything you add to it detracts from that anything you've subtract to it subtracts from
its being perfect. So we do not need anything other than what Allah has revealed. And what the
prophet lays that I do is Sam himself gave us in order to worship Him and to do so this has been
done and it is a major major sin in Al Islam. So we need to know if this act of worship that I do,
		

			we need to know that it has some evidence in the book of Allah or the son of the Prophet alayhi
salaatu wa Salaam

them. He came into the masjid of the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa Salaam and this was after the death
of the Prophet sallallahu sallam, he came into the masjid and he saw a man
		

			he saw a man counting his desk be you know, he was saying Subhana Allah Subhana Allah Subhana Allah
Subhana Allah or hamdulillah Al Hamdulillah Al Hamdulillah.
		

			He saw this man doing his tasbeeh but the way he was doing it, because we know the sooner the
Prophet alayhi salaatu wa Salaam is that he would count his TSB on his fingers Subhanallah
SubhanAllah. So he would count him on his fingers, he saw this man counting tasbeeh by having a pile
of stones. And when he would say,
		

			one of his EF core, he would move that stone to a another pile. So you would say Subhan Allah move
the stone Subhanallah so we could keep count of his destiny. And this companion came to him again,
if anybody remembers this story and remember the name, please interject. Or it might come to me by
the end.
		

			He came but this is all this is a verified story. An authentic story of one of the prophets,
companions on the Allahu and he came to this man and he scolded him by saying
		

			that the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa Salaam has not left us for a very long time yet, that the Prophet
Lisa what he indicated was the Prophet alayhi salatu was Salam is still is still the
		

			not with that have not left us for very long. And you have already left the religion of Allah Islam,
you've already left your religion. So he equated this man small thing, it was a small thing to this

left the religion Why? Because this was a bid. This was an innovation, this was adding something, a
practice to the religion of Allah subhanho wa Taala that the man thought would be a good thing. But
indeed was something that was not done by the prophet laser to Islam or his companions. So he
equated to this man leaving his religion. And he scolded him very, very severely. So we see by this,
		

			that things that we think might be small matters are not small matters when it comes to the way we
worship Allah zildjian we must be very, very, very, very specific. When we do something to worship
Allah azza wa jal we must be very sure that that thing by with which we worship Allah is something
that is sound from the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa sallam said in Abbey

hessonite outside of the religion Yes, there are good innovations outside of the religion, such as
when we gave a gym I couldn't buy now we use a microphone so that people can hear us and stuff like
that, that is outside of the practice of the religion, but inside the practice of the religion of
Allah subhanho wa Taala inside the the bad debt or the things that you do to worship Allah azza wa
jal there is no such thing as a good innovation. It must it must.
		

			It must be verified to be from the Quran or from the Sunnah of the Prophet alayhi salatu was Salam.
		

			So if you are in doubt, and I'm not going to go to the specifics of is this thing I mean, that thing
I've been this, listen to me.
		

			If you're in doubt about whether the thing that you are doing is a bid that or not meaning that it
is a gray area, it is in between the gray areas of of halal and haram or yes or no. Then the best
thing The best thing is to leave it alone. Leave it alone, because the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa
Salaam said that the halal is by you know it's clear the Haram is by tuna it is clear between those
two things there is what we know as the gray areas things that are not particularly understood. So
one of two things need to take place. Either you need to speak to someone of high knowledge either
you need to speak to someone of high knowledge and get an opinion about this or you leave it alone.
		

			He where Omar bin Al Khattab radi Allahu and

to things that are good high center, you have to understand first and foremost who you are talking

making up out of the back of my head. This is something that has been spoken about by the scholars,
time and time and time and time and time again, over over all of these generations of Islam when it
comes to bid but I wanted to try to make it very simple for you today and shout Allahu Allah.
		

			Again, so we're going to try to recap this inshallah a bit and innovation is anything that you do
		

			that you think is part of your religion, or you think that it will please Allah subhanho wa Taala
Anna, in terms of worshipping Him, and it is not found in the Quran or the Sunnah of the Prophet, at
least that I do a certain it has been, it is innovation and it is to be stayed away from you do not
do these types of things, because you cannot let me tell you about this and sisters, let me be very,
very clear about this. You cannot worship Allah azza wa jal better than the Prophet alayhi salatu
was Salam Did you can't you cannot worship Allah subhana wa la better than the Prophet alayhi
salaatu wa Salaam did. There was a time where
		

			there were some people of Medina who found out that the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa sallam, He fasted
on some days and he broke his fast on some days. And they said, we're going to do better than that.
And we're going to fast every single day and never break it. They are so and they found out he
prayed part of the night he slept part of the night and they said we're going to pray all night long
and not break it. And he got married and they said you were going to abstain from marriage and
practice chastity. When this was told to the Prophet alayhi salatu wa sallam, he walked into the
masjid stood on the member said hood Porter hijjah and then said I have heard
		

			There are some people who said that they can do better than me that they are going to pray without
break without without sleeping. They're going to fast without breaking it and they're not going to
get married. And he himself at ad set out to a ceram said, I pray, I mean I fast and I break my
fast. I pray at night and I sleep at night, and I get married to women and there is none of you that
can worship Allah subhanho wa Taala better than me, so he scolded them in a very, very serious
manner. So you cannot do better at worshiping Allah azza wa jal than the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa
sallam, you cannot worship Allah subhanho wa Taala better than him. So do not try to do so. And the
		

			the tablet in the people who came after the companions, and those who came after them, who were
inside of them were the ranks of people like even Malik Rahim Allah mm Abba hanifa Imam, Shafi,
Ahmed ibn Hanbal, they used to say that we stopped where we found the companions stopped, meaning
that in our practice of Islam, we stopped and did not go any farther than the companions went. So
where they stop, we stop, we follow in their footsteps. And this is the best way to be this the best
way to be, because the Prophet alayhi salatu was Salam said, the best generation was already the
generation that was with me through Mala Mala Luna home, then those who came after them, and then
		

			those who came after them, excuse my tongues Allah, we leave this morning. So those who came after
them, and those who came after them, meaning the best generation was my generation, and the
companions, meaning them and those who came after them that have been and the better they are in
those who came after them. He stopped, he said, after them, there will be people who ordered, who
did what I ordered them not to do and did not do the things which I ordered them to do. And it will
get worse after that. So we see we can find what the profit least up to a certain practice this is
the sooner we can find what the companions are the Allahu no model by whom practice in following the
		

			Prophet alayhi salatu salam, and we leave it at that we don't need to add, we don't need to add to
the religion of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Anything that was not practiced by the prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam, or his companions. This is what is known as bid the bidder and it's within the
religion within the religion. Again, those things that are outside of the religion.
		

			Innovation is a good thing. Innovation is a good thing. Like I said before.
		

			Now we use microphones to reach out to people. That is something that was not available at the time
of the Prophet lace that it was serum. But we do see that he would have used those types of things.
Because when he used to stand in front of the Muslims to give good buzz, the women at the back
couldn't hear him. So a woman came to him. And she said, O Messenger of Allah, we cannot hear you in
the back, your voice doesn't reach us. So can we make you some steps so that you can stand above the
crowd and your voice will reach to us? And he agreed to do so. And some steps were made for him. And
that became part of the Sunnah, that now those steps are in most messages, so that his voice would
		

			breach to them at the back. So in that understanding, yes, having microphone systems now is
something that is not a problem because it is not putting something into the religion of Allah
subhanho wa Taala using the mobile phone now how I'm using this social media to give you that one.
This is part of innovation that is good, because it's not part of the religion, but anything that
you consider to be part of your religion, part of your worship to Allah subhanho wa Taala it must
have some evidence from the Quran or from the Sunnah of the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa sallam, if
not, this is
		

			something you should stay away from. And again, if you need to ask Is this okay? Is that okay? What
about this? What about that? Again, look and see if you can find some evidence from the Prophet
alayhi salatu salam, or his companions or as someone of great knowledge in your area, someone who is
able to give you this information. And if it is a gray area for you right now and you don't know and
you you might have some inclination that this might not be okay.
		

			Then the best thing is to leave it is to leave it is to leave it alone. Insha Allah hutan
