We're always sacrificing in this dunya for one
thing or the other, right?
We give up from our time, from our
health, from our sleep, from our energy, from
our effort, from our knowledge to achieve certain
goals, right?
We want to get this degree, we want
to get this house, we want to marry
this person, we want to, I don't know,
travel where, we want to raise our kids,
whatever, put them in whatever school, so we
sacrifice and these are all great and noble
and amazing goals and they're halal and permissible,
mashaAllah, but the problem is when we get
overly consumed in achieving these goals that are
temporary, by the way, they're not everlasting and
we forget what we should be really focused
on sacrificing for.
Yes, sacrifice for these things, but there's a
much important or more important, sorry, much more
important mission that we're trying to get to
and that is Jannah, eternity in Jannah.
Make sure when you're putting all that effort
that it's not only going to worldly goals,
but also for what is really worthy of
sacrificing for.
What is more worthy than Jannah, right?
Whenever you give up something next time, ask
yourself, is it really worth my time that
I'm giving up?
Is it worth my energy?
Is it worth my money, right?
It's so important that we don't just get
consumed in sacrificing for things without knowing what
their real worth is in the eyes of
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Sacrifice for what is worthy of your sacrifice.
As-salamu alaykum.
