Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, who Alhamdulillah to the one who has revealed to us a book most majestic, it is the Kitab who is eloquence is hidden from none neither believer nor critic. It is the 10 zeal that moves us spiritually, and is also a book most scholastic. It is the law that illuminates the entire creation, and whose mere recitation is itself ecstatic. Neither falsehood approaches it nor evil, nor even are contradictions found within it. All who are sincere shall discover its wisdoms, whether devotee or skeptic, it is the Koran Yun Karim the most splendid of all revelations and the most fantastic today shall lozada we'll be doing sudo off and the content
in the suitors after that. And we're going to start immediately because we have a lot to cover and of course as the days go on, we're going to be doing more and more soon as soon as a half is a late, mucky surah and it is the last of the half
means Remember, we said there are seven high means, and this is the last of the seven. All of the high means are revealed in a similar timeframe. And all of them are quite similar in their comp content. They're complimentary. And yet each one of them is different, of course, and unique and it has a sub plot or a sub twist or a sub motif that the others do not have. And the meaning of off is the sand dunes. And this is called a half because it is a reference to the people of odd who lived in areas that are those of the sand dunes, and most likely the people of odd. These are the ancient Arabian tribes many 1000s of years ago, even before the time of Ibrahim, most likely they lived in a
region that was around what is called the empty quarter or the rebel Holly. And I want you to see or Google some amazing photos of the empty quarter in the Arabian Peninsula and then see for yourself why they are called the people of the sand dunes because the quantity and diversity and the beauty of sand dunes of that region is something that is truly amazing. And Allah subhana wa tada mentions this group and what happened to them in this sutra. Now the story, the surah, as with all of the sutras of the how I mean, it mentions the power and the miracle of the Koran, and the magnificence of Allah subhanho wa Taala through the creation all of this isn't the first page of all of the how
Imams, and how the creation should lead, looking at the creation should lead to the worship of Allah subhanho wa Taala. It also mentions a key point of belief for Muslims, which is that not only is the Prophet sallallahu wasallam a human but that he is a part of a long chain of prophets. He is the final of a series of prophets. Verse number nine says, I'm not going to be the Amina Rosalie say I am not, Mr. Russell, I'm not innovating something new from the profits. I'm not any different from the previous profits. And I don't even know what is going to happen to me or with you. I only follow what is inspired to me, and I'm a clear Warner, the humanity of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam that is emphasized over and over again. The fact that Allah tells him to say, I don't know the future, I don't know the unseen I don't even know what's going to happen to me in the future. This is one of the main indications of the truth and the veracity of the Koran, a false prophet, a false prophet, would put things that increases his status that makes him look like far bigger than a normal human. The Quran is constantly telling the Prophet, solicit them to say and announce to mankind I'm just a human, I'm a mortal. It's not my job to change or anything, and also the continuity of our theology. The fact that our religion in its essential form is the same religions
that are found in the previous scriptures and the prophets of old the mosaic prophets, the Abrahamic prophets, the teachings the original teachings of Jesus, theology does not change from time to culture to era, Allah azza wa jal belief in the hereafter decided to hate these don't change. So for any religion to come, that is radically different than all the other religions, something doesn't make sense here. And the beauty of our religion is its pristine, originality, it is original, and it is also continuing from all of the previous original faith traditions also sort of has a key passage here that gives the example of the righteous and faithful son or daughter and of the wicked or
unfaithful son or daughter, verses 15 onwards very beautiful passage in section here where piety to Allah and goodness to parents is combined, and wickedness to Allah azza wa jal and treating your parents unkindly is also combined. So we'll assign an insanity while he Asana, we enjoined upon mankind to treat their parents with a son hemella to Omaha Cohan well over two cohab his mother carried him with great difficulty, and then delivered him with great pain. What have you who was a soldier who fell through the Shahada and took care of him and fed him for up to 30 months until he had a debate that I should do until he reached his maturity? Well, by the albarino Center, and he
reached the age of 40 years, Allah specifies an age here, he makes up he says, I'll never be any. He says, Oh, my Lord, enable me. Allow me to appreciate and be thankful of the blessings you have given me and the blessings You have bestowed upon my parents and allow me to act with righteousness and piety and allow me to be of those who are pleasing to you and our law, allow my children as well to be righteous in need to be two acre, I have repented to you and I am of those who have surrendered. Allah praises this person or this type of category. And that Allah says, These are the people from whom we accept the best of their deeds, and we forgive their sins, and they shall be of the dwellers
of Paradise, the promise of truth of what they
have been told then a lot contrast this. So piety to Allah and piety to parents is put together. Then in verse 17, a lot contrast this one love the color the word either he orfila Kuma, Atari, Danny and Raja Walker the holiday makaveli wahama. Yesterday, Thani, la Hawaii like an army, what a powerful verse over here. Is that person the same as the other type? And the other type? Who is he? The one who says to his parents, how foolish? Are you enough of all of this awful Akuma is irritating his parents, then he has rejected a lot and the day of judgment and he walks the religion of his or her parents. And he says or she says that, Oh, do you think that I will actually be
resurrected? Do you think that there is a day of jet? Do you believe in these fairy tales in the that? He's literally calling them These are stories of the ancients. And while he is saying this, while home is still Ethan Illa the two religious parents they are praying to Allah subhanho wa Taala to guide their children. What do you mean who says this phrase? Some say the angels are saying it Some say the creation is saying and some say the inner hearts of the parents are saying woe to you? Are you foolish? Go ahead and believe in a law rather than reject your parents and reject your faith and Subhanallah What a pitiful state when a person's arrogance becomes so much that he rejects God
and he rejects the gratitude or the love of his parents and he treats both Allah subhana wa Tada. And then after that, the parents who have raised him in with such contempt. So what do you think the fate of that person is going to be and Subhanallah we seek Allah's refuge, we see this verse in front of our eyes so often, when a young lad or a young lady gets a little bit of knowledge gets a whiff of what they consider to be these modern understandings and whatnot. And they think all the religion is faithful, and all the religion is backwardness, and they start mocking their parents and they develop a sense of arrogance towards Allah, and then towards their parents. And I say and I
have dealt with this personally many times, in so many families, so panela your belief in science, I swear to you is more of a fable than your belief in a lot of how not to either your belief that science explains everything in the origins of life and the meaning of life and the purpose of life and life after that, it is more of a fable and fairy tale than anything you are accusing the religion of you also have a man below a belief in the unseen, the only difference is, we believe, believe in the unseen based upon so many factors that tells us to believe in the unseen, whereas your belief in unseen is based on nothing but uncertainty and doubt and this verse is laid lived out
in front of us we seek Allah's refuge and ask for his protection, notice here as well, the going back to the first category, piety and goodness to parents is always combined and beautiful draw over here that when a person reaches his a should and he reaches the age of 40, some say a should is 33. So, Allah is saying when he reaches 33 and also 40 this timeframe and some say a should means 40, what is I should I should means prime here, and what does prime Why is this prime, because in this mid life era, you know, in your late 30s, early 40s, this timeframe, in this era, generally speaking, a person reaches the pinnacle or the combination the perfect combination of both intellect
and of strength of both health and of wisdom before this timeframe. Strength is much more intellect is not so much after this time, the the intellect and the wisdom genuinely increases, but then the body becomes frail. So there is a timeframe, you know, the midlife that we have that generally speaking, a person is established, the man or woman is married, they have their children, they have their careers, and they also have elderly parents and they have their own children. So this is that era, which is the midlife that's what he calls it the should that he's come a full census over here, and whether it's 33 to 40, or around the age of 40. The point is around this time zone over here,
also if you look at the books of the year, interestingly, this verse a lot of scholars say and it is narrated from some of the early taberner authorities that this verse was revealed as a praise for Abu Bakar Casa de radi Allahu taala. I know that it is describing aboubaker of Siddiq because he thanked a lot subhana wa tada Allah for having guided his parents to Islam and his wife and his children and he made for his children. What good is to do is the only senior Sahabi who's both parents are also Sahaba and whose spouse and whose children the entire family are amongst the elite of the Sahaba. None of the early converts to Islam none and none of the Maha Joon had this status
that the entire family converted to Islam like avocado and Oba Sidious then made to our to Allah that Allah allow me to be thankful to you for all that you have done. You have gifted me so much You have blessed me with so much and so Oh Allah allow me to be those who thank you and it will not make my children more righteous make my children as well of those who are good. And so this is
AP is describing aboubaker. But of course it applies to each and every person, all of us should be thinking along this timeframe. Also an interesting nocta. Or an interesting point over here, this verse, as it is revealed, or it dimensions, a timeframe where generally speaking, we all have our own children and our spouses at this timeframe. And we also have our parents and it is as if Allah is subtly reminding us that do not let your family's meaning your children and your spouses divert you from the duties of your parents as well. They too have a right over you. And so make sure you're thankful to them as well. When you get to this timeframe, there money there, your money also needs
to go to them. Your love and dedication also needs to go to them as it also needs to go to your spouse and to your children. Another beautiful verse in the Sudan, of course, all verses are beautiful is verse number 19. Very simple fact, what he called Linda, Elijah to Mina, Emmylou, and everyone will get a Delta jet of Gen, a level of gender based upon what they have done. fair is fair, the more you do, the more reward you're going to get. The more your input to the more your dedication, the more your piety and rituals, well, then don't expect anything other than, you know, the best from a lot subhanho wa Taala. And therefore, every one of us should think long and hard.
When equal lindora Giotto, mimma, Emmylou? What daraja do you want? What level do you want? Do you want to have the VIP suites? Do you want to have the first class of jedna? Well, then you have to pay that price. And guess what the first class of agenda, every one of us can afford it, every one of us is equally accessible to all of us, we just have to put in the effort, we have to show a lot as a job, that dedication, that piety, we have to show compassion to the people. And that's it, the first class of genda will be open for us. That's exactly what we want. The story moves on to the people of add and hood. And it is of course mentioned multiple times. But in this verse we read
about the are the people of the coffer the sand dunes, and verse number 24 is a very interesting and also should give us pause for thought that Allah says when they saw the cloud, that cloud that was going to destroy them the cloud that was gonna, you know, rain destruction, when they saw the cloud approaching their Valley, they said how the algorithm to Luna they said, this is a cloud that will bring us rain is going to be a benefit to us. Then Eliza just says no, this is Mr. Agile to be here. This is what you were impatient for. It is a wind in which there is either there is grievous suffering and punishment. This shows us sometimes that which we think is a blessing is actually a
punishment, we need to be very, very careful. This is a constant theme of the Koran, the wealth of this world, in and of itself is not indicative of a loss of happiness with us. It is very possible that some people in fact not very possible, the Koran tells us explicitly that some people are so wicked and evil, that Allah gives them more of this world, go ahead and drown in your evil go ahead and increase because you don't deserve that mercy. And therefore these people are given more wealth and more power because they deserve more punishment. So they're going to misuse that wealth and power. So we have to be careful that we are not tested with the blessings of this world such that
the blessing becomes a curse. We want to keep blessings blessings. And how do we do that? By giving the rights of those blessings with blessings comes responsibility. The penultimate section of Sudan cough mentions the conversion of the genes and the genes listening to the profits of the law while he was setting up on his return to thought if and this is a beautiful message that the prophets of the law who already sent him is consoled that even if the people of this world reject you, even if if treated you the way that they did, they will be the world of the jinns that will come and they will accept your message and our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was the only prophet that was
sent to both men and to the jinn race as well. And so there are converts of the jinn race as well. There are good jinn and there are bad jinn as the Quran is very explicit in this point. And the last verse of the surah. It reminds the prophets of the law Why do you send them Fosbury cannot sabara who realizes me Minoru surely there is a category of the prophets they're called oralism the prophets of fortitude and of patience, and we are we know them to be no Ebrahim and Moosa and Risa and our Prophet Mohammed De La Hoya said, these are the five una rosmino Rasul, they are the prophets of the strongest resolve, and they got there by being patient and patient means you're
going to be tested with adversities and you demonstrate your patience. Patience allows you to rise up and you become for the case of the Prophet system, the greatest prophets through that have patience. So we too need to understand the path to get to that level or close to that level because we're never going to get to that level but two paths to get close to that level is through the issue of patience. The next Surah Surah Mohammed, we now move to a med any surah we haven't done any sort of for quite a while and sort of Mohammed is a mid to late madonie surah. And it deals primarily with the rules of
war again remember, Medina or Medina? Madani pseudos are very different than MKI Sutras, and it is a relatively mid size to short sutra, four pages 38 verses and the message at the beginning of the sutra is simple and powerful and to the point alladhina kufan was a danceability lie about those who reject a lot, and those who stop others from being pious. All of their good deeds have gone to waste even if you have some good deeds, if you're so evil, that you will reject a law and you will hate religiosity Of what use was other good deeds that you have done. And then the second verse, As for those who believe when Latina Amina y municipality hat, and they believe in what was sent down to
Mohammed sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and that is the truth from their Lord, then he shall forgive their sins and relieve their concerns. This is one of the rare places in the Koran that the Prophet sallallahu Sallam has mentioned by name. Four times he has mentioned by name quick quiz on Twitter, our Twitter family is having a great blast quickly quote these verses find them and list them the full verses four times our Prophet system is mentioned by name, two of them are inserted on Mohammed and they just give you one of the hints and both and because he has mentioned twice in this surah so his name occurs as soon as Mohammed we call this the chapter named after him. So the law while he
was seldom in the suit of encouragement is given to work for the sake of a law in all affairs. Allah says in verse number seven Yeah, you were letting me know in some sort of law Hey on sarcoma, you have bit academical simple rule, memorize it, or you who believe if you stand up for a law, a law as though a gel will support you, and a law would strengthen your foothold, strengthen your resolve Subhanallah You do one thing alone, do minimum two, you do a little bit alone will do much more you put in the effort, Allah will open the ways the Quran is always talking in this encouraging manner, or you believe do whatever you can for the religion for the sake of Allah. And here don't sort of
lot of course means all the aspects of this religion, no doubt there's the the sutra and the context immediately applies to the legitimate Jihad for the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala. But the beauty of the Quran you can extrapolate these verses to any situation that the verse allows any helping of the religion of Allah, any duty that Allah subhana wa Taala wants us to do, this is not sort of law and if we do this, then Allah Georgia says I will help you back and I will make it easy for you. So you submit academic come your foots will be firm when you go this I'll give you the courage I'll give you the opportunities the doors will open up but you need to do that effort and the rest I will
help you with that. Why is this the case verse number 11 beautiful verse also memorize this first year Muslims Valley could be unknown la Mola Latina Armando wonder cafe de la Mola. That is because Allah is the molar of those who believe and those who don't do believe in Allah, they have no mo Allah Subhana la Mola means protector molar means the one who will cherish and nourish molar means the one who's in charge Mola is the one you turn to when you're in trouble. Mona is the one that will protect you from every single issue and grievance. So Allah is saying, I am your mo that don't worry, and those who don't have religion those who reject a la la Mola home, I swear to you, I
genuinely pity those who reject religion and God I don't understand how they can live their lives what meaning do they have? Where do they find peace and security? All of this insanity in this world where do you get your sanity from? What makes your spirit what makes life worth living? If it is not an attachment to Allah subhanho wa tada and that's what Allah is saying that in the that Allah is the molar Latina Amma know what I'm a caffeine and caffeine Allah. They have no recourse to a higher being or cause and so their lives become meaningless. We ask Allah for his salah and alfia, the surah as well. So if Mohammed has some beautiful descriptions of agenda, read verse number 15. And
look at how Allah describes the beautiful rivers of Jenna rivers of pure water that never stagnates rivers of milk that are forever fresh rivers of wine that are delightful to the drinkers delightful. They don't make you intoxicated, rivers of beautiful honey that people can drink, and they will have every type of fruit that they can imagine. And they will have forgiveness from their Lord beautiful descriptions of Jen of Jen in this surah. The suta as well has quite a lot of verses at least seven or eight verses criticizing the hypocrites because remember, Medina did have the phenomenon of hypocrisy. And in the middle of these verses criticizing the hypocrites verse 24, one of the key
verses about the beauty of the Quran, yet a balloon or an armada khudobin aka Fallujah. Why don't they ponder the Quran? Why don't they make that book of the Quran? Are their hearts locked up and sealed?
Why does this verse occur smack dab in the middle of verses about hypocrisy, because a lot is saying, if you only turn to the Quran, your hypocrisy would be cured. If you have a spiritual disease, if you have arrogance, if you have a hardness of the heart, if you're lacking purpose in life, if you don't know why you're here, what you're doing, turn to the Koran make tadhack book of the Koran, and you will find that your heart will open up you will have the ease and comfort of this world and the next world and Subhanallah This is a key point dear Muslims, some people some understandings of Islam, they tell you don't read the Quran. Except for Baraka. Don't read the Quran
to try to understand it, Raj, you will be misguided because you're not a scholar. And with any frankness, I will say that interpretation is simply wrong. I'm not even gonna say respectfully it is wrong. The Quran is telling every Muslim to read it every Muslim to understand it true. Nobody is going to say I am not telling you to start deriving advanced rulings or make bizarre interpretations. Or you need to be a scholar to go to a higher level understood, but the basic message of the Quran should be read by every single Muslim, the Quran was revealed to be read by believers and by those who don't believe in it, and Allah sent the Quran down so that all of
humanity reads it, especially those who believe in the Koran. Read it with an open mind read it and if you don't know ask questions, if you don't know, read the books of Tafseer. But read the translations that are that are that are accessible if you cannot read the Arabic and benefit at any level so that in shallow data you can get the benefit of the dub bore of the Koran and the surah ends with some very powerful verses as well. That Allah subhana wa tada mentions that all you who believe everything, you're allowed to assume that obey Allah and obey the messenger and do not let your deeds go to waste in them adhere to dunya Larry bucola hoon, this the life of this world is
nothing but playful and pastime. And if you have faith and lead to righteousness, he will give you your reward your rewards and not ask you for your possessions. Then Allah says in Yes, l Kumu. Ha, if he were to ask you for it, and he would pressure you to give it then you would become tight *. And you would become resentful. Allah says how to how to download the 2003 70 law. Here you are, you're being called to ask to be spending in the way of a lots of high no more data, some of you are stingy. And whoever is stingy is stingy against himself. And a lot is the money while you are the ones who are in need of him. And if you turn away, then Allah will replace you with another
people and they will not be like you. If you turn away, Allah will replace you in our low yesterday, The Omen highrock confirm Allah yaku lucam. This ending has two very important messages. Firstly, that Allah is not demanding from us anything that is unreasonable. Allah is saying, if I were to ask you for all of your wealth to give, he wouldn't be able to do that you would become stingy. And secondly, Allah is saying, if we don't do our job, I will bring forth if you your generation, you your your group does not do its job, I will bring forth another group of people and they will then do their job and they will not be like unto you. So this clearly shows us that we need to do our
job. If we do not live up to the values of the religion, then a lot subhanho wa Taala will bring forth another group that will live up to the values of this faith. The next sudo is sudo alfetta. I made a slip of the tongue I said that the name of the process occurs twice in this sudo it is one since sudo Mohammed and one since sort of further slip of the tongue the next surah has the name of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So to suit us back to back of the name of our Prophet sallallahu sallam. Surah Surah alfetta of course is we know exactly when it was revealed. We know the exact occasion where it was revealed. So it was revealed when our Prophet salallahu alayhi wa
sallam was on the way back from the Treaty of her day BIA in the sixth year of the hedgerow and the Treaty of Abia is a very important incident. Listen to the CETA lectures or any book of Syrah understand what happened. The Muslims were very, very sad. They thought that it was a defeat. They thought that they had lost their their upper hand. They wanted to perform their own rock, they were stopped, they tried to negotiate and the orange did not let them in and so they had to go back to Medina. On the way back to Medina. The Prophet system is riding on his Campbell River in the hubbub comes and tries to talk with him and he doesn't respond. And Omar feels is because of the Aloha is
because of something he said that the process was angry with him. Then the Profit System began reciting. He wasn't responding because Jubilee was in communication with him, and he began reciting out loud amongst the Sahaba
The beginning of surah alpha, which therefore was revealed right after the Treaty of would they be, and on the way back to Medina, in
fact, ham will be in. Indeed, we have given you a clear manifest victory so that Allah can forgive your sins, the past of them and the future of them and a law can complete his favor is upon you. And a law can guide you to the straight path and help you with an unwavering support. So Allah subhana wa tada informs the believers that he will always help them and grant peace in their hearts, in contrast to the hypocrites, this surah explained to the Muslims, that the Treaty of Arabia was a victory. Sometimes something happens, and you think it is a loss for you, but it is your victory, the Treaty of the day be the Muslims felt it was a loss to them. And they were very, very sad. When
a law revealed this surah they became happy that they didn't understand look at their email, they didn't understand how could they be as a victory. But they said if Allah said it, then it must be a victory and more people converted in the year and a half after the Treaty of Rome. They be then people that are converted in the previous 15 years of preaching Islam, the Treaty of per day, Bo was an amazing victory that no one understood at the time, not the Quran, not the prophecies of the Quran, start day one. And the Muslims at the time thought what is going on, we seem to have lost in the conditions. But the origin did not realize that Allah azza wa jal works in ways they don't
understand, and the Treaty of today be brought about far more power for the Muslims and far more converts than anything before it. And this shows us you might think something is a loss or something as a tragedy, you don't know the repercussions, the effects that are going to happen from that that quote unquote, loss, that loss could actually be your victory and her they be approved to be the turning point that after her they be that said the conquest of Makkah was just a little while after this. And in this surah we also hear the praise that Allah subhanaw taala gives to those Muslims who participated in that treaty and undertook the oath, the oath of allegiance that they are to read,
one is called and the Muslims volunteer to fight. They felt that Earth model the law and had been killed, and so they felt that needed to defend even though they didn't have armor, they didn't have weapons, they didn't have all the things but they still decided that they're going to take a stand. And Allah subhanaw taala praises them for their faith. So anybody who participated in the Treaty of Abia has a very high status because of this verse in towards the end of the surah. Allah subhanaw taala mentions another point. And that's another thing we need to think about that ally zildjian mentioned that he helped the Muslims in ways they don't understand that he averted a calamity that
would otherwise have occurred, that they were very close to an all out war taking place in her they be and if that had happened, Allah says the Muslims themselves would have regretted the repercussions because they would have killed innocent people in meaning that there were people in Makkah that were not they were secret converts. And if there had been an all out, they would have ended up killing some of their own Brethren, and that would have caused huge loss internally, they would have been very aggrieved. And so Allah azza wa jal says, I averted a calamity that otherwise would have occurred. And this shows us so many times, we don't know the future. So many times,
something happens and we just don't understand the wisdom. But perhaps, perhaps there is a far bigger calamity that Allah subhanaw taala is protecting us from at the expense of something that is relatively trivial. Also, Allah says something that is, again, very important for us, especially in this timeframe. We're living in the Quraysh at the Treaty of Arabia, they became very prideful in their heritage, we are the ordination you are this and we are the people of Mecca. And they started feeling this sense of tribalism against the Muslims and Allah subhana wa tada criticizes that sense of ego that sense of pride in one's own culture and race and nation and a law says that when the
koresh had heavy Yeah, and Hermia is a, the literally the word hammer literally means like a fever to Hermia is like a very powerful like that you know, force that comes up of I am who I am, and this is my culture. These are my people and this is my race. And Allah repeats the word Hemi twice, that when the Quran adhamiya Hemi slgr helia and he calls it the Hemi of Jaya helia. This is a very, very significant verse because it shows us that having this nonsensical ego about one's background one's culture, one's nation state, one's race one's tribe. It is truly something that is Jah Healy. It is something that is not befitting the believer of Allah and His messenger. It is not worthy of even
humanity to feel that one segment of humanity is superior just because of where they were born.
Or the color of their passport or the color of their skin or because their grandfather great grandfather was so and so now, of course at some level of Islam encourages having a sense of, you know, pride legitimate pride and appreciation is a better word than pride for one's culture and for one's language and for one's ethnicity No problem, but it should never occur at the expense of other people. See, there's something called legitimate sense of you know what, you know, I am, you know, Indian, Pakistani, I am Arab and whatnot. And, you know, I like my culture. I like my people. I like my race. I love my cuisine. Personally, I have the data, no problem, you know, you have a sense of
heritage and identity, and you appreciate it and no problem. However, the minute you get heavier and heavier is a level of, you know, appreciation that that becomes egotistical, that becomes arrogant towards other cultures where you feel you are better than others. Allah Himself calls it Haniya tell Jaya helia that is not Islam, Muslims, our identity is Islam. Yes, we all have our cultures, we have our nation states, we have our languages, how we can appreciate but we have to recognize every culture, every language, every nation state also has its heritage and we are all equally human. In terms of humanity. No one culture or race or nation is better human wise than another one. And the
minute we begin preaching this, we revert back to the status of God Leah, Islam came to eliminate me yet Elijah Hillier, therefore, I'll be very explicit here. All of our ethnicities and nationalities are secondary, we are Muslim first and last, everything else is simply a adjective we can put on which must be subsumed by the Muslim identity. All Muslims are one, everything else is something that is secondary. And it's not wrong to be identifying with a country or a nation state or an ethnicity. It's not wrong, because we all
have different nations and languages as Allah says, but again, we have to balance between what is our actual identity and what is simply a coincidence of birth or heritage or whatnot. That doesn't really define us, but it does shape who we are, as we live in this world. Anyway, enough of that issue. We all understand inshallah, that this is the the verse is very clearly talking about the Islamic notion of pride in one's heritage and race to the point of looking down at others. Also in the surah, the surah concludes by predicting the conquest of Makkah, that Allah subhana wa, tada, mentions that you're going to get a first hand katiba A conquest very soon. And this is the
reference that you're going to be conquering very soon. And then the last verse, I said a few minutes ago that it's repeated twice instead of Mohammed, I corrected it in this episode, once instead of Mohammed sorry, and once instead of Fatah, the name Mohammed is mentioned. So back to back twice the name of a prophet system has mentioned one in each surah. And the last verse mentions Mohammed Rasulullah. This is the only time in the entire Koran that the second Kadena occurs, Muhammad Rasulullah in that fashion, so Mohammed rasulillah and those who are with him, they are harsh against the Quran against the kuffar against the disbelievers, and they are compassionate
amongst themselves. You see them kneeling, prostrating and seeking Allah His blessings and approval, they have marks on their forehead because of the effects of prostration. So Allah praises the Sahaba for their dedication in the surah. And one very important point about this sutra as well is that when our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam returned back to Makkah as the conquer in the eighth year of the hedgerow he was loudly reciting the beginning of Sula, tel Fattah, the valleys of Mecca were reverberating in for lack of a better term Medina in Fatah Han Allah cafeteria Medina, so he was reciting reciting surah tell Fattah, even though it was revealed at her day BIA, but her de Bie
was a direct was a direct causal, if you like, precursor to the conquest of Makkah. And so it was the factor that Allah promised them that her they be a was a victory and the conquest of Makkah resulted from the Treaty of Arabia. And the next suitor we're going to do is Surah hoogenraad and Surah hoogenraad Subhana Allah what will make you understand what is suitable hoogenraad one of my favorite Surah Surah hoogenraad requires not five minutes, but rather five hours actually 15 hours minimum, but we do not have time we have only five minutes to cover this surah it is a late Madani sort of one of the last suitors basically in the last year of the life of the Prophet system
revealed at the end of the ninth or the 10th year of the hegira it's only 18 verses two and a half pages, and how to write the meat then the name how gerat implies the chambers that the Prophet system lived in. He would occupy rooms each one for one of his families and
These are called the Fuji rock. These are the chambers that he had. And it is called hoogenraad. Because this surah references those chambers that what happened was a group of Bedouins came to the profits of the Law Center. This is in the ninth year or the early 10th year of the Hydra, and they shouted from outside the house that all Mohammed come outside we are here to see you basically right and allows you to reveal this this is not befitting the mannerisms of a Muslim to demand an audience in this fashion. And some respect should be shown in this regard. And the entire surah is about perfecting one's manners, and it begins by perfecting one's faith. So manners and Iman are linked
together manners and Simon are linked together. The more your Eman is, the better your manners are going to be. This sort of begins by increasing your Eman and teaching you a man and the rest of the whole surah is about a HELOC. So how do you make your life better by making your Eman better? Oh, you who believe this sort of begins? Do not place your opinions above those of Allah and His messenger and be conscious of Allah, Allah it's all hearing and all knowing are you who believe, do not raise your voices above the voice of the prophets of Allah. Why did he was seldom and do not speak loudly to him like you speak loudly to everybody else, or else your good deeds might go to
waste and you don't even realize it. Those who lower their voices before the Messenger of Allah. These are the people who will lie, though agenda has confirmed have piety, they will have forgiveness and a great reward. So panela if we are not allowed to raise our voice above the voice of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam What do you think of somebody who thinks his opinion is better than the verdict of the Prophet sallallahu? I said, What do you think of somebody who says, I know better than I would have allowed the villa? The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam Where do you think that person stands? Be careful, do your Muslim submit to Allah and His messenger and that will
be your ultimate success. The surah has a long list of commandments of what needs to be done in terms of a clock and etiquette. And of course, this is an anybody can read this and benefit directly from the surah. It tells us to verify our news. Don't believe everything you hear, especially in this day and age of the internet, allowing anyone access to a platform, untrustworthy sources don't do this go to verify people whom you can trust go to the source itself, do not listen to gossip or Kayleigh will call or websites that are known for this type of order. This applies over here, we also learn that Muslims have a duty to take an active role in bringing about reconciliation between
two fighting Muslims, all Muslims are like brothers. Hence, it is our duty to reconcile between them, we learn that being sarcastic that making fun of others is not of the manners of the righteous, we are told explicitly to not use innuendos or subtle hints to put people down you know when you are in a gathering, and you look at one another and you wink and you have a bit of a joke at the expense of another person. Allah says do not do that because you don't know maybe that person is better than you and what you are doing it is something that would even if that person is not better than you, when you do what you are doing automatically for that time in place, you are
showing that he is better than you because you are doing a sin that that person is not doing and Allah subhana wa tada explicitly says, Do not call each other names that are offensive. And by the way, what is offensive, the person whom you're calling that person will decide what is offensive to him or her You don't get to judge what you say something If a person's feelings are hurt or not, if a person feels that You are insulting by this by this adjective or noun or something that is his or her prerogative. And ally xuejun also says In this section, do not backbite one another, you know, you're it's as if you're eating the flesh of your brother in law, do not spy avoid suspicious
behavior and bad thoughts. All of this is very explicit in this era. And imagine, imagine, dear Muslim, if our Islamic societies started implementing this basic level of pseudocode, you wrote, I guarantee you almost all of the gossips and the scandals and all of the backstabbing and the breaking up between families, it would pull down to almost a minimal if even it would happen after this. Most of our societal and family problems most of the time that two friends are two cousins or two brothers or whatever they break up it is because some of these rules have not been followed. SubhanAllah if we follow these rules, society would be peaceful. But alas, one of us does a mistake
and the other digs it deeper and then the third and then it goes back and forth. Subhana life we only did this just remember this first in May in order for us to be in a hallway, and also my sincere advice to all of you who are watching anyone whom you know are your friends.
And relatives that is not getting along, you know the both of them, it is your job as a good Muslim, to bring about some type of reconciliation. If you can try, you don't lose anything try. And as the books of fiction Hadeeth mentioned, you're allowed to give white lies. And this is not the time to go there. But it needs to be said here, you're allowed to give white lies and white lies is to say a little bit of gentle positive things, you know, I was with so and so. And he was mentioning you with kindness. You missed the good old days when you were friends. And then you go to the other one. And you say the exact same thing. These are positive things that you're allowed to say to bring them
back together. Again, our showdown encourages this because unity is more important. And these white lies for the service of that they have to be positive lies, obviously, because otherwise you get to the issue of scandal and whatnot. So this is something that the Koran is very clear about bringing about reconciliation. And then the surah mentions one of the most famous verses in the Quran, which is quoted all the time. In so many interfaith gatherings and whatnot, it definitely one of the most powerful verses and no civilization before our Islamic civilization was this crystal clear in eradicating racism and bigotry from the ranks of its members and its believers. Verse number 13.
Yeah, yohannes this address is not just to Muslims, Allah is speaking to all of mankind, or mankind, we created you from one male and one female, which are nutcombe shuru been wakaba. And we made you races and we made you tribes. So a race you have the Indian race, the outer brace the Chinese race, you have the African race, although these are racists, even within them, it doesn't matter. shabd means a large group of people, right. And within the Indians, they have also races within the Africans, they have the races, but this is a race of people within the race you have in those days you had kata. In our times, the nation state is a type of abila not the exact same thing, but is a
type of Kabbalah. And the verse applies equally to this that we made you into all of these various things, Lita out of four, so that you can get to know one another, not so that you can be arrogant not so that you can think you are the most important you are the domineering No, this diversity makes life interesting. Can you imagine? Can you imagine if all of humanity look the same spoke the same talk the same had the same culture. How boring would humanity be Allah is saying I gifted you some diversity so that it becomes interesting people look different, speak different their cuisines are Mashallah different cuisines are great Danny I love Mashallah many different types of cuisines.
You know, hamdulillah great, even though I do have my favorite that's besides the point here is that Lazarus created us all to be different so that we can engage in conversation and say, Oh, that's what you do there. Oh, is that how life is lived? Oh, is this culture interesting, and as long as it is within the confines of Islam, Alhamdulillah cultures can be made to conform to Islam. No one culture is superior to another culture, even the out of culture and the customs of the time they are not any more Islamic. If Islam did not come in explicitly endorsed them than any other culture, which I'm sure Ruben will cover, in a coma, coma in the law, he at all come. Verily, the most noble
of you, in the eyes of Allah is the one that has the most righteousness and piety. And this is something that was meant to eradicate all types of racism and egotistical notions of one being superior to another no philosopher or a theologian, no famous person before the coming of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was as explicit in the oneness of all of humanity. The Quran is so clear every other nation, every other race would think it is better than everyone else. And the Quran comes and says, at a time and place that it was politically incorrect to say, mind you, it's not as if the outers didn't think this, the Arabs thought that they were the best. They're always
thought they were the best. The Persians thought they were the best, the Chinese thought they were the best. Every single nation thinks they are the best. And Allah is saying, You're all the same in terms of your humanity. If you really want to have a hierarchy, that hierarchy comes from within, not where your mother gave birth to you, not the skin color of your father, not the DNA that has nothing to do with you know, you really want to rise up in ranks, you can do so from something that is within you. And that is the taqwa of Allah subhana wa Tada. And the sutra concludes by going back to those Bedouins who interrupted the prophets of Allah, why did he was setting them and who called
out to him in a crude manner. And those bedrooms were boasting, saying that Whoa, we are now believers. They thought that they're doing a favor to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he mo noona alayka and esna boo. They think they've done you a favor by accepting Islam. And no, Betty La Jolla. La Come on. Come on, man. If you really are truthful, Allah is saying you would know that Eliza gel is the one that has done you a favor by guiding you to a man
Dear Muslim, when you do a good deed, when you give money to some poor person, when you work for the question, when you do anything for the cause of law, don't ever think you are doing a favor to that poor person. On the contrary, Allah has done a favor to you, by blessing you with the softness, to have the compassion to give and by giving you the wealth to give it as a law as a blessing. We thank Allah for that blessing and we ask a lot to accept it from us never feel that you have done anyone a favor. If you have done something rather a law has blessed you that you're able to bring about some good so you ask Allah for more blessings and you ask Allah for to feel clean for to feel and for if
lost in this regard. And that is the reality of a man. The next surah we're going to move on to also one of my favorites and Yes they are. All of these are some how to live risotto, his favorite in my own way. So little cough. And I remember I sawed off when I was I think eight or nine years old was one of the first suitors I memorized when I began memorizing the Quran. And pseudo cough is again a very short sutra, less than three pages actually 45 verses and we go back now to the mucky Suez, sort of Mohammed and Fattah humidity and then the rest of the few suitors we're going to be doing art Makino. suta cough is MKI surah. And from suta cough to Surah. Nast This is called the Mufasa
silac section of the Koran and the Mufasa. That means that lots of suitors are always being interrupted or stopped because they're all small surah so it is considered from cough to Surah Nast is where these smaller sutras are, and I strongly encourage all the Muslims to try to begin to memorize from the back of the Koran and work your way up to at least sort of cough. These are all relatively short Sutras, two pages, two and a half pages one page and short you know, it's like you can set a milestone and inshallah Tada, it'll work up and you feel happy that you've done it. And once you've done cough, then continue onwards. Insha Allah Tada. So sudo cough is a very
stereotypical, if you like Mk II, pseudo short versus powerful rhythmic. And the main theme of pseudo cough is to remind mankind of death and of the resurrection. And in fact to the off is the only suitor that we know of that our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would sometimes use to give the whole tuba there is no other suitor that we know of that he gave the entire Friday holdover, just by reciting pseudo cough he recited off or he basically use sort of off to give the entire hotel and he did that multiple times. So much so that one of the Sahaba he memorized sort of off simply because he heard the Prophet system in the hotel, but we're talking about the actual hotel,
by the way, not the Salah, he would recite sort of off as the hotel but that's how powerful it is. He used this whole TVA, this surah as the whole TVA and it is called pseudo cough because it is the only surah in the Quran that begins with off Weill Cornell Majeed and as with all murky sewers, after elegantly combining between the marvels of the creation and mentioning of the seriousness of the previous prophets, Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions in verse 15, that after mentioning the previous nations and whatnot, ie Neville Hulk, in a world where we tired out or incapable of creating the first creation, we did all of this, why can't we do it all over again, rather, they are
in doubt about the new creation and one of the most iconic passages and sort of cough that Allah says in the Quran, what are the hot chocolate inside that we created man, and we know what his soul whispers to him and we are closer to him than his jugular vein meaning we know even what the soul whispers and the two receivers idiot Allah como de la Kiana, Yemeni Juana Shima, the two angels that are sitting down, they write down all that he does, and he says, not to word does he utter except that there is a watcher by him ready to write down and then Allah mentions deep, the beautiful description, which is actually very eye opening, and it should bring some tearing us as well about
the reality of death, that the sacrificial mode or the pangs of death are going to come and this is what you were trying to evade. And the the passage moves on to the concept of piano and * itself and the people are being thrown into *. And Allah says in verse 30, on that day, we will say to * are you full? And they will say, Are there still more people, even jahannam will be surprised at how many people are ending up in jahannam. But then Jen will be brought closer to the believer and a lot of xojo will say Oh, hello, hobby Salam enter agenda in peace. This is the day of eternity. Then Allah says lahoma Yasha una v ha well, Edina moseyed, they will have everything they
want to engender, and we have even more than anything they can want. The surah concludes by advising the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to be in a state of constant worship and to remind them through the Quran. And Allah says in verse number 37, that in this is a reminder for anyone who possesses a heart, or anyone who cares to listen or to witness, the final suitor will do so.
With a daddy yet it is a Maki Surah 60 verses two and a half pages. And it is called that yet because of its first verse the scattering winds that yet and again the surah again a beautiful surah Please listen to any audio that you like to appreciate the surah Allah begins by giving an oath on the winds that carry the loads and the gentle breezes that bring good and the angels they go about their commands. And then Allah says in them to Arduino saw that what you are promised is true and the judgment is surely going to take place. And a lot of xojo describes the believers in this surah with a very beautiful passage. They used to sleep very little at night, and during the dawn they
would ask Allah for forgiveness and from their wealth, there will always be a portion they give to the poor people notice throughout the entire pour on religiosity is your rituals and your compassion to others. This is the message of the Quran. Be a good person with a laser widget in your rituals be a good person to mankind with your wealth and your kindness and you are a good person overall. And the sooner I briefly mentioned the stories of Abraham and his guests and loot and Moosa and then allies the widget concludes the surah we created this creation with power and we are indeed expanding it and the earth we spread it out Look how well we have prepared it and we created
everything in pairs so that you can reflect and wonder for theodorou illa law when you see all of this where do you go run race to Allah azza wa jal fulfilled route rush towards Allah flee towards Allah, you have no protection from anything except from Allah and Allah will protect you from himself. So he we are being told run towards Allah subhana wa tada I am a clear Warner unto you and then the sutra concludes that remind believers for reminding benefits benefits people of a man you don't just have to say it once keep on saying it gently and maybe some time somebody will listen and then Allah finishes one more Hello Hello in this surah will not have to agenda will insert into Dr.
Boone. I did not create Jin and man except for the sole purpose of worshiping me. Why are we here to worship Allah? Allah says I don't need anything from them, nor do I need them to feed me rather Allah is the one who is the provider, the one who is all powerful, the one who is all strong. May Allah subhana wa tada make us of the righteous May Allah azza wa jal open up our hearts and our minds to be of those who listen to the message and follow it to the best of our abilities. And for those of you that are watching live remember tonight is an odd night so it makes sure you do some extra worship and remember all of us especially your teachers, as well in your drawers was set on
