The Surah Surah has multiple dreams, including those that are sex based and involve a "slack of joy" of "vanageous waste." The " rapid fire" movement is designed to empower people to face persecution and hardship, and the "slack of joy" movement is designed to empower people to face hardship and empower the "slack of joy" movement. The "slack of joy" movement is designed to empower people to be mindful of the environment and not just the quantity of money spent on gas and electricity generation. The "slack of joy" movement is designed to empower people to be aware of the negative consequences of climate change and the "slack of joy" movement is designed to empower people to be aware of the negative consequences of climate change and the "slack of joy" movement. comi Nino,

00:10:40 --> 00:11:23
			Salam Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu All praise is due to Allah subhanho wa Taala who sent the
Quran to us narrating the best of all stories. He created Adam and Hawa and told them to enter
agenda with all of its delights and novelties. He taught Noah to build the ark and commanded him to
take his family and to have every species. He asked Abraham to build his house, a sacred place in
the holiest of sanctuaries. He gave Moosa the miracle of the staff, and caused them to triumph over
the Pharaoh and his armies. And he sealed the profits with our Prophet Mohammed Salah la vida, he
was seldom blessing him with manifest victories Hamdulillah, we are now going to start one of

00:11:23 --> 00:12:02
			everyone's favorite surah it is definitely one of my favorite sutras. And that is Surah Yusuf. And I
hope that inshallah all of you have also joined our Twitter family, we're having a lot of fun on
Twitter. So make sure you're following me and that you are hash tagging any gems that you have with
the hashtag YQ gems, and you can just enter into an online family and have a great time
Alhamdulillah over there. So today's style will be a little bit different. I hope that you've all
read the surah. And there's so many ways to interpret the Quran. Today, I will assume that you read
the entire surah. And you have an idea of the story. And what we're going to do is we're going to

00:12:02 --> 00:12:45
			zoom over and extract as many benefits there's going to be a rapid round of fire trying to extract
as many benefits from the morals of the story. We already mentioned that the sewer is a unique surah
in that it came down in the late mccunn phase after unit after unison hood use of was revealed. So
all three of these tours are one chronological block. And they're also the same block in the Koran.
And it is the only surah that mentions the story of use of in detail. For example, the story of Musa
is mentioned in more than half a dozen places. But the story of use of is only mentioned in one
surah. And it is also the only surah of the whole Koran that discusses one story from the beginning

00:12:45 --> 00:13:27
			to the end, the theme of the entire surah is one story there is no other sort of like this in the
entire Koran. And we need to understand one other thing before we dive into our quick rapid fire.
And that is a disorder came down at the very very end of the second phase. After three tragedies
that severely they dampened the enthusiasm of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, they hurt him
psychologically so much so that the year of that tragedies was called the year of sorrow. Why?
Because our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was not seen smiling in that whole year. Three
things happen one after the other. The first of them and the most difficult for him to bear was the

00:13:27 --> 00:14:08
			death of his life partner Khadija, the death of the mother of his children Khadija barely a few
weeks after was the death of his uncle Abu Talib. And so the internal support from his wife and the
external support from his uncle, the both of them were taken away from him in a very, very short
period of time. And then he had to face the tragedy of the of the very difficult experience of the
city of thought if one he was made fun of when the people rejected him, and he was stoned and pelted
until the blood ran down his noble body and face these three incidents happen one after the other.
It was definitely one of the lowest periods if you like of this era, and at this point in time,

00:14:08 --> 00:14:51
			Allah subhana wa tada is revealing surah use of and so surah Yusuf is being revealed to cheer our
Prophet sallallahu Sallam up as a consolation, it is a reminder for him and to him that you're not
the first person to face persecution, persecution and hardship. You're not the first person whose
Brethren, you know, try to kill, you're not the first person who has had to be unjustly persecuted,
rather than profits before you did it as well. And they came out victorious. And by the way, this
surah I have given a much more detailed to see it multiple times. Actually, actually, the first suit
I ever did in depth of Sierra was pseudo use of literally 20 years ago, to the day to the to the

00:14:51 --> 00:14:59
			year in 2000. I did an entire syrup an entire Tafseer of so use of and then I've done it three four
more times after this verse by verse

00:15:00 --> 00:15:38
			So it's a far more analytical one. Today I'm going to be summarizing much of that some of the other
episodes available online. And so inshallah with that what we're going to do, as I said, For the
rest of today's lesson time, we're going to literally do a rapid fire, as many benefits as we can
extract from this surah. Number one. Quranic stories are the best of all stories and are meant to be
studied a lot. xojo explicitly mentioned noncanonical, sladek, eyes and apostles. We narrate to the
best of all stories, every one of us should be reading Quranic stories should be telling them to our
children should be contemplating them. Number two, the believer is concerned for one's offspring.

00:15:38 --> 00:16:19
			When use of told his father of the dream, the initial instinct of yahood was to protect the initial
instinct was to nurture was to take care of. And so to every single parent amongst us, our instincts
to take care of our children, religiously and physically, are Hamdulillah, a gift from Allah
subhanho wa Taala. Number three dreams, some of them are from Allah. And this entire surah has
multiple dreams, it's a common motif of the surah. So use of Caesar dream of the stars and the
planets and the prisoner see the dream. And the king sees the dream of seven fat cows and seven lean
cows. So dreams are from Allah subhanho wa Taala that are positive and true. And of course, the

00:16:19 --> 00:16:56
			second category of dreams are dreams that come from shavon and these are dreams that are terrifying.
These are names that are nightmares, these are dreams that are sexual in nature. And a third
category of dreams are ontological alarm, or mumbled dreams. And this is typically what the person
himself or herself is wanting or desiring and they'll just see something in the dream. We know a
dream is from a law by a number of signs of them is that it remains vivid in your memory. And it's
typically symbolic. And also we learn over here of the benefits is that dream interpretation is a
blessing from Allah dream interpretation is a gift that a law gives to people. Point number four,

00:16:57 --> 00:17:35
			that wise and intelligent people do not show off or flaunt the blessings that Allah has given them.
Whatever blessing you have. One the wise person tries one's best. Now some things you cannot hide if
you're going to pray in the masjid or anything you cannot hide, okay, it's understood that you know,
if you have some type of blessing, for example, a good voice and you're doing tilawat Okay, well,
you're expected to recite the Quran with a good voice. But as much as you can you can you conceal
the blessings Allah has given you and you do not flaunt them. And even when you must do something
publicly, you monitor your intention. So when you serve, tells his father of the dreams so his

00:17:35 --> 00:18:12
			father says that don't tell your brother in this just keep it to yourself, not only will telling
other people feed into your ego, it will potentially cause problems and harms and jealousies. So the
wise person conceals the blessings of Allah has given to the greatest extent possible. Number five,
that of the blessings and the morals we learned from this surah is that when Allah wants to bless
someone, he blesses him with knowledge. And that's what Allah says in the Quran. cattolica is the
vichara buka that how was the family of his heart blessed through knowledge through Prophethood
through wisdom, one generation after another. This is the real sign of Allah's blessings. It is not

00:18:12 --> 00:18:51
			wealth, it is not kingdom. It is not anything that you inherit the ultimate blessing from Allah is
faith and knowledge. And that's why our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Whoever Allah
desires good for whoever Allah desires good for he gives him knowledge of the religion. And this is
what Allah is saying about the family of his health and Yahoo that I gave you knowledge after
knowledge. Number six, that of the blessings of Allah subhana wa tada is that good households
typically produce good children typically, as Allah says in the Quran, that as he protected your
forefathers before you that as he blessed you and your forefathers before you, so when one

00:18:51 --> 00:19:36
			generation strives to be righteous, generally speaking, this is the rule. There's always exceptions,
generally speaking, that piety is transferred to the next generation. And we even see this in the
brethren of uses that eventually they become pious. So when parents are pious when parents are God,
fearing generally speaking, the general rule the children also become God fearing the best way to
protect your children is to protect your own man to the best way to protect the man of your children
is to protect your own man. Number seven shavon is ever eager to cause problems between Muslims and
especially between family members, the brothers of use of wanted to kill use of we have to always be

00:19:36 --> 00:19:59
			on guard against shavon and realize that shavon loves to break up families break up brother and
break up siblings break up uncles and aunts, the shaytaan loves to cause family politics. And this
is something that we have to always monitor because family is a blessing from Allah. And shavon is
angry at any blessing and is jealous of every blessing that Allah has given us. So we as family
members have to be extra vigilant that shade

00:20:00 --> 00:20:42
			does not harm our bonds between us. Number eight, the importance of being fair and just amongst all
people of one category, Yahoo Valley, his salon tried his best to be fair amongst his children. And
therefore, when the brother in got jealous of use of, they couldn't say, Oh, he's giving use of
more, they couldn't say he's spending more time with you. So all they could say is He loves us to
have more. And love is something of the heart, we cannot control it, but they could not accuse Yahoo
of doing something extra to one of their the sons. And that's why our Profit System himself was very
adamant that if you give a gift to one child, you must give a gift to all children. Let not one

00:20:42 --> 00:21:29
			child you know, be extra attention so that this is going to cause problems and issues. And that's
not something that our religion strives and once point number nine, jealousy drives people insane.
Literally, jealousy makes you act like an utter, foolish, arrogant, murderous person literally
murder. These young men these teenagers were wanting to murder their innocent little brother What
for because they have jealous they hide that jealousy and our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
said I warn you against jealousy for it destroys your good deeds like a fire eats up wood. He
literally described jealousy like a fire it just you lose control that becomes burning inside of

00:21:29 --> 00:22:07
			you. Jealousy is destructive. Oh believers monitor your heart and the minute you feel jealous of
somebody else, cleanse that heart turn to Allah subhana wa Tada. ask Allah to get rid of that
jealousy. Because if jealousy consumes you, then what you will do will be utter stupidity and
foolishness and what you will do, you will end up harming yourself and harming others and regretting
all that you've done. And that's why in the Quran, we asked a loss protection woman Sherry has
hidden either has said We seek refuge in your law from the evils of the jealous person when he or
she is jealous, because when the jealous person is jealous, they literally go crazy. Can you imagine

00:22:07 --> 00:22:47
			brothers killing or wanting to kill throwing their innocent brother into the well and what drove
them it is jealousy. So be careful of jealousy, point number 10. Repentance that is done before the
deed is not repentance, to say, Oh, I'm going to do this sin and inshallah one day I'm going to be
righteous that is not repentance. No, the brothers of use of they said, we're going to go ahead and
kill yourself and then one day will become righteous. And at that stage, they were not righteous.
Repentance, that is a joke is not repentance, genuine repentance, which occurred at the end of the
surah is a repentance of regret or repentance of remorse or repentance of I shouldn't have done

00:22:47 --> 00:23:25
			that. And I'm really, really sorry in front of Allah subhana wa tada and asking a loss forgiveness,
that is the repentance that is accepted. Number 11 intuition that the believer feels is true, there
is a saying of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that it took off Eros settlement for enough
Eros at mini Hawk that beware of the intuition of the believer, because the intuition of the
believer is true. And this is a gift that Allah gives us. You know, in English, we call it a sixth
sense, we actually believe in Islam, that there is something called the sixth sense. However, we
cannot act upon a sixth sense and then defend it in a court of law. It's something that it's up to

00:23:25 --> 00:23:59
			you, if you do it, you could be right, you could be wrong. Generally speaking, the more righteous
you are, the more righteous your your sixth sense is going to be your instinct is going to be and
Yahoo Valley he said, um, he felt uncomfortable, something is not right that my children want to
play with use of, and when the brother in came back, and they showed him the evidence in his heart,
he knew something is not right. He he knew, but he couldn't act, he couldn't do anything. You cannot
use intuition in a court of law, but you can in your personal life act upon intuition. And then if
you're right or wrong, you can only thank or blame, you know, you cannot, you know, blame anybody

00:23:59 --> 00:24:39
			else. That's your own intuition. But there is something called intuition. And there's nothing wrong
to act upon it. As long as we're not taking the rights of other people. Point number 12. It is
allowed in Islam, to use secondary evidence to see whether somebody is telling the truth or not. And
it's not just you need eyewitnesses here, for example, the brethren have use of they brought back
the shirt that was soaked in blood, and they said that the wolf has eaten use of but the shirt was
intact. You know, these young children, these teenagers, they didn't think through, they put some
false blood and then they brought back the shirt, and how can a wolf have eaten up use of and the

00:24:39 --> 00:24:59
			shirt is still intact? So he used a secondary evidence and he realized this is not right here. But
what could he do? He cannot he does not have any other evidence but it is allowed in Islam and in
modern times, our fifth counsels discuss this issue to what level can we bring in secondary evidence
of you know, fingerprints and all this but overall the concept is there that it is something that
can be

00:25:00 --> 00:25:03
			resort to to with the proper conditions. Also point number 13.

00:25:04 --> 00:25:42
			That no matter what the crime is, no matter how evil the crime is, when you confront a criminal when
you speak to a person who has done a wrong, the first thing that you bring up is their crime against
Allah subhanho wa Taala. Yeah owb reminded his sons that they have committed a crime against a law
before they have committed a crime against him and against use of you bring in the moral and the
spiritual and the divine element, you try to put the fear of God in the criminal and somebody who
has done wrong and that is an aspect that unfortunately, modern society neglects you bring up the
issue of accountability of sinfulness of doing something that will get you into trouble in the eyes

00:25:42 --> 00:26:27
			of Allah, and then you bring up the law and other things that you have done. Point number 14 that
Yaqoob says for sovereign Jamil, I shall have beautiful patience. Okay, this shows us that patience
is of different types. And there's something called beautiful patience. And what is beautiful
patience. Beautiful patience is patience. That is someone who has a dignified attitude, and does not
complain to the people in order to elicit their pity. In order to gain sympathy from others. A
beautiful patience is to keep what is in you, and to let out your emotions to Allah subhanho wa
Taala and that you don't go begging the people for their pity. No, there's nothing wrong to gain

00:26:27 --> 00:27:05
			sympathy from others. But the highest level if you look at our profits a lot while you sell them. If
you look at the highest level of believers, if you look at Yahoo, right, he said, um, what is he
saying? He He's not wanting the pity of his fellow human beings, even if his children because he
says that I'm only complaining to Allah, I'm not complaining to you, I'm not expecting anything from
you. And this shows us that the one who maintains a dignified composure and the one who keeps that
anger and that grief and that resentment, so that they can then maintain a dignified presence and
complain to Allah subhana wa Tada. Now, again, this is a sensitive topic and sometimes some people

00:27:05 --> 00:27:47
			do need to vent or some people do need counseling and therapy, that is a whole different issue for
those who are able to and that is one category of people, not all for those who are able to to
maintain internal professional dignity, if you like, and to not elicit sympathy from other human
beings because what will their good? What will their sympathy do for you? What will their you know
words do for you, you will complain to Allah subhanho wa Taala and not gain the sympathy of other
people. This is sovereign Jamil and it is, of course not a requirement. It's not why Jim, but it is
something that your old showed that he was able to do. Point number 15 that if you protect your

00:27:47 --> 00:28:26
			faith, and your chastity and your youth, then Allah azza wa jal will protect you, in your old age,
use of had that connection as a child and use of maintain that connection throughout his entire
life, generally speaking, and this is especially a message to my young men and women, generally
speaking, if you can maintain religiosity at a young age, then insha, Allah to Allah, it Allah will
bless you and guarantee you to maintain religiosity at a later age. Vice versa is not always true,
by the way. So many say I'm going to become pious later on in life and they never become pious and
death comes to them. But generally speaking, the one who is praying regularly in their in their 20s,

00:28:26 --> 00:29:07
			let's say, generally speaking, they will maintain a religious lifestyle. Obviously, there's always
exceptions, but use of it histogram is one of those generalities, point number 16. The dangers of
interacting with the opposite gender, when there's temptation, we see here, that the lady was in
charge of use of the wife of the minister, that she was in useless presence day in and day out. And
she was, of course alone with use of and so slowly but surely the temptation grew in her until she
seduced and she tried to do what she tried to do. And this shows us dear Muslims, brothers and
sisters, that Islamic law is so beautiful, especially in light of the hashtag metoo movement. And

00:29:07 --> 00:29:47
			this needs to be said, and I am not allowed to go into tangents in this series. But one point here
does needs to be said that men and women have natural dispositions, and to ignore them is foolish.
Obviously, aggression is never ever, ever justified. At the same time, the shady common sense
dictates that each one of us takes precautions and of those precautions is how we present ourselves
and how we dress and how we look and how we talk and how we interact. And whether we are alone or
not with somebody else of the opposite gender, these are all reasonable precautions. And of course,
even if none of those precautions is met, obviously, violence is never ever ever justified, but

00:29:47 --> 00:29:59
			still we as well have a responsibility. And we see this throughout what we are seeing now of the
reality of today's climate and situation that it is not healthy to ignore Islamic etiquette and
matters.

00:30:00 --> 00:30:45
			The more we obey the Islamic ethics etiquettes and matters, the less problems we're going to have.
Point number 17 of the matters and benefits we learn from the story of use of is that to desire a
sin is not a sin. To act upon a sin is a sin, to desire. A sin is not to send it's not healthy, but
it's not a sin. Allah says what occurred to him might be, he will have maybe her she desired him and
he desired her. But he saw that this was a test from a law and he did not act upon the desire and so
to feel an inclination to have a feeling an urge in and of itself, it is not a sin, to control that
urge. That is the essence of taqwa. And that is how gender is earned by controlling the urge, that

00:30:45 --> 00:31:27
			is how gender is earned. Number 18. The only way we can control the urge is to turn to Allah
subhanahu wa tada to save ourselves from our sins, there is no way that we can come between us and
our desires without turning to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And that's why as soon as Yusuf is tempted,
he makes to our to Allah and when the ladies in the second part also attempt him he makes a vow to
Allah in law three find negate the whole naspo la henault acuminata hidden a lot. If you do not
avert to their planning from me, then I will fall if you don't save me, then I'm going to fall you
have to turn to Allah, all Muslims who are struggling with desires and all of us who are struggling

00:31:27 --> 00:32:09
			with their own various desires, all Muslims, whatever your addiction, whatever your problem,
whatever you're struggling with, if you turn to Allah sincerely, Allah azza wa jal will protect you
use of Allah His system is the ultimate example of this. He was alone, he was a slave. The lady was
noble, beautiful, and yet still when he turns to Allah azza wa jal, then he has the fortitude and
the courage and the Eman and the taqwa to say no to something that every young man would want to do.
There is only one way to protect ourselves from sins, and that is to turn to Allah azza wa jal,
because the worship of Allah is sweeter and more pleasurable than anything that is sin can give us

00:32:09 --> 00:32:50
			point number 19. We learn in the story of use of the evils of gossip, the believers don't gossip.
The Prophet sallallahu Sallam said, of the perfection of one's a man is that a person that a person
does not talk about that which does not concern him, when the women gossiped about the wife of Aziz,
when the women mentioned, oh my god, she is in love with her slave, oh, my God, she wants to seduce
her slave. And it became the talk of the town, the gossip amongst those ladies, it made the
situation so much more worse. And then the wife of the Aziz acted the way that she did. Dear
Muslims, men and women, do not talk about other people do not talk about other people's sins, don't

00:32:50 --> 00:33:31
			make the topic of your conversation, the lives and the scandals of other people of your relatives
and friends and neighbors or their beloved, no, don't do that. Because you're going to harm
yourself, and you're going to harm other people as well. The topics of your conversation should not
involve the scandals of other people of society that have nothing to do with you. Gossip is an evil
characteristic. And we avoided as Muslims of the perfection of one's faith is to leave that which
does not concern him. This is what I prophesied, I said himself, number 20. We also see over here,
the evils of ego, of caring so much about what people say about you, that you are so concerned about

00:33:31 --> 00:34:09
			your public image, that you start acting in an irrational manner, your own, your own actions are
based upon what other people say, rather than who you are, and rather than what Allah wants of you.
And that's something that I have to be honest, you We see this in the social media culture, where we
have alternative identities of people that are, you know, famous online, and then they have other
lives, though, we have one life in front of a lot. And that's the life that we're going to live this
lady, the wife of Aziz, that she had an ego that she constructed of people's image of her. And so
she cared so much how other people viewed her that she publicly seduced us have in front of all the

00:34:09 --> 00:34:54
			ladies, look at how irrationally she acted because she thought that would protect her own public
image, her own persona. This is the equivalent of the online media personality that everybody thinks
of this. And we have to be careful here. Our sincerity means we are more concerned about how Allah
xojo views us than how the people view us. Point number 21. We also see here one of the biggest
dangers of human existence, and that is lust that is that is unchecked and sexual desires that are
unlawful we asked a lot protection, how many people how many people have been brought down because
of these types of scandals and we ask Allah azza wa jal, his protection sexual desires can blind a

00:34:54 --> 00:34:59
			person, one of the biggest temptations that all human beings have is that of the opposite gender

00:35:00 --> 00:35:42
			That's why Allah subhanho wa Taala has put in so many laws about marriage and about other issues
about how to interact, so many laws are there. And we see this in the story of use of where the wife
of Aziz acts in such an irrational manner, because she is consumed with lust. And also so many times
men act in such an irrational manner, and because they are consumed with lust, and therefore we have
to be extra careful about this as well. Point number 22 that we appreciate the blessings of Allah
subhanho wa Taala. In what we have, and we also accept and appreciate what we don't have the story
of use of teaches us that perhaps a blessing that we don't have is actually a bigger blessing than

00:35:42 --> 00:36:25
			if we had it in let me phrase it to this way. Imagine Dear brothers or sisters, imagine if Allah
azza wa jal tested you with a fraction, a fraction of the beauty of use of Imagine if people would
be interested in you all the time, would you even be as fractionally as pious as use of, or would
that blessing, that was a blessing for use have become a test and a curse for you. And that is why
whatever you have, thank Allah, whatever you don't have, that you are not able to get, we're talking
about things that you're not able to get whatever you don't have, thank Allah as well because Allah
knew what to give you, our Prophet Sall, Allahu Allah who was send them said, Sometimes I give a

00:36:25 --> 00:37:03
			person more money than another person that I love. I actually like this person, but I don't give
them that amount of money. Because I worry that giving so much money to that person will cause him
to go astray. And that that money will cause him to go to the fire of *, sometimes not having a
blessing is the blessing we don't want to be tested with more than what we can bear. And so maybe
Allah subhanho wa Taala knew that I am weak or you are weak that if we had you know, if we're born
into a multi billionaire family, if we're born into royalty family, if we're born with plenty of
wealth or you know a certain any looks or whatnot, that we would not have the strength to maintain

00:37:03 --> 00:37:43
			our Islamic identity. So Allah subhana wa tada saved us, and he gave us what he gave us, because
that is what is best for us, and hamdulillah whatever Allah gives us, these are the tools that we
can pass the exam with the best of grades, we can get the best of marks on the final exam and the
Day of Judgment with what Allah has given us. It is very likely that if Allah gave you a different
life with a different set of parameters, you would fail miserably. So thank Allah that whatever you
have, whatever you have, you have the potential to earn genital for those with what Allah has given
you. And that's what the beauty is we accept a lot harder and decree Don't be jealous of other

00:37:43 --> 00:37:45
			people. Point number 23

00:37:46 --> 00:38:33
			inner beauty, inner beauty, of good manners of good law of decency of morality is just as attractive
actually, it is more attractive than outer beauty. When you suffer it is seldom show decency, and he
refused his mistresses Cummings on in front of everyone. And he said, I'm not going to do that he
became even more desirable than he was before. To live a chaste life a decent life. To live a
morally upright life, even in a society that is that is decadent. Even in a society that is evil, to
live an upright life. It earns the respect of everybody around us in parallel. It's human nature. We
seek Allah's refuge. So many people are allowed to be led to commit sins left and right. And they

00:38:33 --> 00:39:10
			commit sins with so many people, when it comes to marriage, they want to find an angel. They want to
find somebody who is totally perfect, even though they themselves have been out with a villa the
worst of the worst. And here we see this and use of Allah His setup that he was so perfect when he
said no, he became even more desirable. And so the real beauty dear Muslims is not the outer skin
beauty. The real beauty is the beauty of Eman and taqwa that is what will truly make a person
attractive to a believer attractive to another believer. And that's what Allah says in the Quran,
that will pay you back to the ebina with a wounded thank you but righteous men are meant for

00:39:10 --> 00:39:51
			righteous women and righteous women and pure women are meant for righteous and pure men, that that
is what will really make the marriage flourish. That is the inner beauty. As for the ultra beauty it
comes in it goes it's not the real deal. Point number 24 of today's lecture is that injustice does
happen in this world and it is a part and parcel of life. And that is why we think a lot there is a
day of ultimate justice. You shall not get ultimate justice in this world. Sometimes people will get
away hurting you harming you, irritating you. Sometimes tyrants live and die peaceful debts and the
poorest of the poor die because of starvation. This is not the world of ultimate justice. That is

00:39:51 --> 00:40:00
			the next world use of did no crime. He went to jail and he suffered consequences for something he
did not do. He didn't commit a crime yet. He still

00:40:00 --> 00:40:41
			ends up in jail and Allah will reward him for that true justice is in the hereafter. Sometimes you
as well might have to do pay the price for something you did not do take consolation in what
happened to Prophet Yusuf Alayhi, salam, number 25. That when we want to preach about Islam, our
actions and demeanor speaks louder than our words, Yusuf is in the prison, and the people of the
prison, they come up to him for the dream interpretation. And they say in another document, so we
see you have the righteous people in a minute more sinning, you look like a good person, because you
have conducted himself even in jail, with the dignity of Islam, with the with the good mannerisms,

00:40:41 --> 00:41:20
			the people who are criminals, the people who are evil people, they recognized you serve and the
piety of use of and that is real dour and so they came to him to get their dream interpreted. Point
number 26. That were and preaching to Islam is only done in a comfortable environment where people
are ready to hear and by comfortable I don't mean a five star hotel, but comfortable. I mean,
intellectually they were in the prison and use of When does he preach Islam to them when they come
to him? And then user says, Okay, I'm going to tell you your dream before the food comes before your
lunchtime, I will tell you your dream. He's giving them a time 1015 minutes left, he goes give me

00:41:20 --> 00:41:59
			1015 minutes give me however much time it is he's preparing and setting the stage for them the right
ambience, the right atmosphere, the right psychological attitude. Do not I repeat, do not become a
nuisance. By shoving your version of religion down other people's throats you will turn people away
from religion you need to make sure people are prepared to listen prepared to engage use of didn't
go around, you know metaphorically knocking on all the prison doors and giving pamphlets out and
shouting out loud. He knew there's a time and a place to preach and teach. And when the people were
ready. Indeed he did. And before you speak about Dawa, act upon that hour, that is the number one

00:41:59 --> 00:42:44
			mechanism when you're in the land of non Muslims surrounded by non Muslims, the best Dawa you can
give is through your honesty and mannerisms and good luck. That is the best that was your kindness
and generosity in our community. Merci Nein, we need to have exemplified that in our lives as we
interact with non Muslims point number 27. The necessity to use the means to get to the goals, the
necessity to use the means to get to the goal. And I've said this many, many times throughout the
previous few days, that work cool or trusting in Allah subhana wa Taala means that you do everything
in your human power. And then your heart is attached to Allah subhanho wa Taala here, use of alayhis

00:42:44 --> 00:43:25
			salam, he tells the one of the people that will be left out with goodness and Arabic mentioned me to
the king, you know, he's going to go to the king directly use of Allah His Salaam uses the laws of,
or the means he uses the necessary ways. He doesn't just sit back in his jail cell waiting for the
miracle to happen. He does what needs to be done. And in our time, this would be getting the right
help hiring the best people to do the job. You see, both the goal and the path are that both the
goal and the road to get to the goal are from Allah subhanho wa Taala. Both the goal and the road to
get to the goal are from Allah. When we undertake the path and we start walking down the road to the

00:43:25 --> 00:44:08
			goal, then we put our trust in a law and say, Yes, we will get where we want. We tie our camel, and
then put our trust in a law which is what you serve has done and therefore any project that we're
doing any anything that we're doing, our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that a lot of xojo
loves that whenever you do something, you do it with perfection, you do it with excellence, you do
it properly. And we see this throughout the story of use of alayhis salam point number 28 hastiness
does not bring about good. And the fruits of patience are always sweet. When the messenger of the
king comes back to the jail, when the messenger of the king comes back to the jail, and he says to

00:44:08 --> 00:44:51
			use of the king is calling you. Can you imagine Yusuf has been in that jail for at least five to
seven years, our books that have seriously maybe seven years use of has spent years in that jail.
And can you imagine this is a jail that's like 2000 3000 years old, if not more than this actually
more than 3000 years old. This is a jail that is in a different multivariate ancient times. How
filthy How disgusting, how dirty, what food will be there and the ambience and everything. Now you
get a royal courtier from the court coming directly to the jail and knocking on the door and saying
hey, you have exemption to come out. And what does use have to handle law? What courage and patience

00:44:51 --> 00:44:59
			use who says no, I'm not going to come right now. Go back to the king and look into my case again.
Look into my case.

00:45:00 --> 00:45:42
			Again, and make sure that I am exonerated. I was not guilty sapan a law. Do you know what our
profits a little law what I said I'm remarked, an amazing Hadith is a Muslim. Do you know what our
Prophet system said? may Allah have mercy on my brother use of may Allah have mercy on my brother,
you so if I were in the jail instead of him, I would have rushed to the door. As soon as the
courtier came from the king. If I were in the one in the jail, I wouldn't have been able to say go
back. Allah knows what's going to happen is the man is going to come back or not. But Subhana Allah,
this is what happens. Can you imagine if use of Allah His salon had just gone the first time the

00:45:42 --> 00:46:26
			king would have given a gift, here's $10, whatever, thank you, maybe even sent him back to jail, you
never know. But when you serve Allah, his Salah acted patiently, and he proved his innocence. And he
thought a few steps ahead. Subhan Allah, now the respect of the king to an unknown person, it shot
through the roof. And now when the king meets you serve? Immediately the king says, I'll make you a
minister Subhana Allah, how did that happen? How did that happen? Immediately the king offers him
not just the secretary, I'll make you a minister. I trust you that much. Now that you have turned
down my courtier, you're a decent, you are an honest man, for you to want to prove your innocence to

00:46:26 --> 00:47:06
			this level you must have and this is a king that's not even a Muslim. piety is recognized even by
the Empire's piety is recognized by everybody, so hastiness does not bring about good. And patience
brings about an immense amount of good. And this leads us to our next point, point number 29, which
I've talked about this a little, and I'm going to elaborate here, that good character always comes
in handy. I mean, you're never gonna lose being a person of good manners and character, being
honest, being virtuous. It helps you in every single society. And that is because people admire
virtue and respect virtue. And frankly, even those people who don't have virtue, they recognize

00:47:06 --> 00:47:47
			virtue and dignity and decency and good manners. And that's what use of showed amongst a nation of
people who worship false gods they're not even Muslims, they're practicing strange practices of what
not Yusuf Alayhi Salam comes out to be the winner in all of this simply by his good manners. Point
number 30 of the most important lessons that we learn is that going through life's ups and downs is
a part of being human. You're not gonna you know, it's it's human nature. Look, here we have the
Prophet Yusuf, who was born of the most noble lineage as a prophet system said, he said, You serve
has the most noble lineage. He is a prophet, the son of a prophet, the grandson of a prophet, the

00:47:47 --> 00:48:28
			great grandson of a profit, profit profit, right that's that's Abraham is how jacoba uses for
profits back to back he was born in the household of a prophet, the most noble and honorable house
in the whole world. And he was born to loving parents, his father dotes upon them and loves him. And
then overnight, he is trapped in a well doesn't even know he's going to live. The next day, he is
sold into slavery, the third day, he ends up a slave in a person's house, and then in the jail, so
panela, from where to where to where, and then stays in jail so many years. And then what happens
overnight, he becomes the Minister of Finance of all of Egypt, you need to go through your dungeons

00:48:28 --> 00:49:07
			and your metaphorical whale wells and your metaphorical slavery, you need to go through all of that,
to end up in your metaphorical palace, or maybe even your real palace. You're not going to get to
that palace, you're not going to get to your success, even in this dunya without undergoing the
trials and tribulations. And this is one of the main messages that was given to our Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam ups and downs of life. Point number 31. A little bit of a deep issue.
I'm going to gloss over it. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say here. It is permissible to
use a Hillel trick. Now this is a deep point here. What am I talking about use of and the cup that

00:49:07 --> 00:49:53
			he snuck into Binyamin, his younger brother, youngest brothers, sack of rice, he put the cup and
Vidya means rice, and then he began checking the rice of the other brothers making Binyamin, the
very end of the very last one. And he knew that if he started with the rice sack of Vinny, I mean,
everybody would know that it was planted Why would you choose that one sack out of all of the 11
sacks over there. And so further I'd be over at m albula. We are in the film Mr. kraja. Meanwhile,
meanwhile, a karate kid in early use of this is how Allah is saying we plan for use of use of used a
halen trick. And he was planning 10 steps ahead, point number 32. So 3132 are kind of linked

00:49:53 --> 00:50:00
			together 32 participating within the laws of the lands that you live in, as long as those

00:50:00 --> 00:50:37
			Laws are permissible are Hillel participating in the systems of the government using the court
systems or using the laws of the land? Allah says in the Quran with regards to use of Makana, Leah
Hoda, houfy, Dean and medic, he could not have kept his brother according to the laws of the king,
unless his brother was found with that cup. So it was a tactic that he used because he knew that his
brother was under threat, or whatever the reason that's a longer point, why did he keep his brother
but Allaah must have told him and Allah is saying that he could not have kept his brother according
to the laws of the land without using this type of trick and the shediac allows this type of header

00:50:37 --> 00:51:15
			trick. Now again, the ends do not justify the means and the shitty I have to say this very clearly
if something is highlighted, but you're using a how long go how long path to get there, that doesn't
make it Hello. However, if the path or the means is permissible, then in shallow data, it is also
permissible. And this requires more knowledge and make sure you ask a share for Adam about this. But
overall, these two points together, what I'm trying to state is that point number one, it is
permissible to use what is called keanna, or highlighted tricks in the shediac if it is genuine, and
that's a big if. And then the second point 30 point 32 is that, given the circumstances of use of

00:51:15 --> 00:51:54
			alayhis salam, he had to avail himself to the laws and the constitutions of the lands he was living
in. And this is a reality for many, many millions of Muslims or hundreds of millions of Muslims
around the world. And this is a much more detailed topic, much more detailed topic. But in a
nutshell, it is completely permissible to live in under a system that has laws other than the laws
of Islam as long as you're able to practice your religion, and you are allowed to avail yourself to
the laws of those lands in order to get your rights in order to do what needs to be done. And of
course, this entails as well as use of Alison became the minister. And so there will be lawyers,

00:51:54 --> 00:52:32
			there will be people that are involved in the process. And this is a much detailed topic. There's
definitely red lines, I'm not saying everything is highlighted, but overall the concept of availing
yourself to a system that you are living in under which you are living in in order to get your your
rights. This is something that the Shetty definitely allows and common sense necessitates this, and
it is something that we find in this story of use of with caveats Now's not the time to get into
those caveats. Point number. Point number 33. We are on now that point number 33 that the believer
is always cautious. Yaqoob Ali Salam did not hand Binyamin over when the brothers said we want to

00:52:32 --> 00:53:10
			take Binyamin he said I'm not I don't care we're going to starve here I'm not going to hand this
brother over but then and the process instead the believer is not stung from the same hole twice.
But then after a while Yahoo was convinced so the believer is cautious the believer does not act
foolishly point number 30 for the perfection of being generous changes hearts and minds. One use of
was generous to his brother and when use have returned the goods of the brother and when use of
honored his guests he said to his brother and that Anna hieromonk zerene I am so hospitable Can't
you see? But that go tell your father how hospitable I was. And then when they opened the bags, they

00:53:10 --> 00:53:51
			found all of their goods returned to them. And they said, Oh, we abandoned. Our father Can't you see
we don't want any harm. He here are our goods that have been returned to us. We don't want to do
anything wrong to Binyamin. And so Yahuwah has Salam he then his his persuaded he is persuaded by
the generosity of use of and that generosity helped him and therefore being generous always comes in
handy and being good to people and honoring your guests will always come in handy. Point number 35.
The believer plans use of plants the cup in the sack of Binyamin and then finds it in the end use of
returns the merchandise in the socks and he knows they're going to open it when they get home. The

00:53:51 --> 00:54:31
			believer is thinking 10 steps ahead. good strategy is a part of good faith. Point number 36. Even
evil people have potential good in them. Those who wanted to murder their brothers. They eventually
ended up literally the stars literally the dream of the stars. They ended up the stars at the
beginning of the story. There are potential murderers at the beginning of the story. They're going
to murder their younger brother. By the end of the story. they repent and a lot of xojo lifts them
and they are to the metaphorical level of the stars. Many say they became prophets and this means
don't give up hope of good in people. Don't ever presume that somebody who's done a crime will never

00:54:31 --> 00:55:00
			repentant can become good. The brother and abusive are the best example. For this. Even evil people
can have the potential of good in them. Point number 37 never lose hope in Allah subhanho wa Taala
Jaco says to his children, you have a need to have all my children go out and find the use of and do
not give up hope of the mercy and pleasure of Allah do not give up hope of the help of Allah. Only
the wicked people give up hope of Allah's mercy so we never lose hope in Allah is merciful.

00:55:00 --> 00:55:40
			Point number 38. complaining to a law is a part of emotion. And by complaining I mean that we
express how we are to elicit a lot of sympathy complaining does not mean Oh Allah Why is this
happening? complaining is Oh Allah you see my state of Allah you see how desperate I am. Although
you see that this has been deprived at me, Oh Allah have mercy on me. That's what complaining means
in the Islamic context and complaining to a law is a part of the man. The best therapy is the
therapy of point number 39. The believer always ascribes good to Allah and evil to shape on whatever
good happened to us. So walk with us and it'd be a lower so merciful to me when he took me out of

00:55:40 --> 00:56:21
			the prison. Allah so merciful to me when he protected me in the world. lachemann Allahu arlena.
Allah has been so gracious to us, all goodness to Allah. And then as for evil, nessa shavon,
Albania, Albania, what the shavon caused me and my brother's to have problems between us, a scribe
good to Allah a scribe evil to shape on point number 40 of the perfection of one's Eamon is to not
hurt the feelings of other people. Look at how you so phrased what his brothers had done always in
the third person always in the passive, never in the accusative. Never does He say, look at what you
did to me. rather he said that a three by Alec milliohm there is no blame. He didn't say I'm not

00:56:21 --> 00:57:05
			gonna blame you. There is no blame on you. And he says your foot Allahu Allah, Allah shall forgive
you. He didn't say I'm going to forgive you even though he has to do the Forgiving, but it goes a
law shall forgive you so that his brothers don't even feel that he is reminding them of his favors.
So the believer is so cautious that even in this situation, don't hurt or don't make your brothers
or your Muslim Brothers feel as if you're doing them a favor. Point number 41 forgiving is always a
virtue especially within family here use of it his Salaam forgives those who tried to kill him, and
he forgave when he is in a position of power. Imagine when we're not in a position of power, should

00:57:05 --> 00:57:43
			we not forgive them in a position of power to forgive? Subhana Allah that is the pinnacle, there is
no question and that's why when our Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam conquered Mecca,
and he gathered all of the Quran around him. And he said, What do you think I should do with you?
And they're begging and pleading, he quoted them this verse, that's a three buddy como yo, yo quiero
la hula calm, the way that juicer forgive his brother and who tried to kill him. So to our Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam forgave his own brother and he tried to kill him. And he quoted the
exact same verse forgiving A times of power is indeed the pinnacle of good mannerisms. Point number

00:57:43 --> 00:58:27
			43. showing respect to your parents in all ways, even in outer physical forms use of Allah His salon
puts his parents on the throne and lowers down in front of them that was allowed in their Sharia in
our shady, we don't do such the in front of a created object, but definitely even in our outer
demeanor, even in how we interact even in the words that we say that apollomon often even the
slightest if we do not say it. So we show respect to our parents the way that use of did point
number 44. That Allah subhanho wa Taala can bring about reconciliation, even between the worst of
enemies, and the most hated of siblings and relatives. Can you imagine how much hatred the brethren

00:58:27 --> 00:59:07
			of use of must have had to throw that innocent child into a well to hear the cries of a six, seven
year old begging for mercy? How hard hearted Can you be? And how can you imagine how much hatred and
by the end of the story they are brethren one united and that is the whole one of the names of a lot
more Elif on Hulu. The one who brings hearts together a lot can bring hearts together. I quoted the
verse a few days ago, lo and Fatima from out of the gym, me and my left brain Obama can no longer
left Albania home. If you were to spend all the money in this world, you would not bring their
hearts together but a law brought their hearts together. And that's why Be careful, dear Muslims, if

00:59:07 --> 00:59:44
			somebody has wronged you done wrong to you, you you will feel some anger and hatred, sure. But as I
did with your loved one who said when you hate your enemy, hate him with a little bit less than you
should. And when you love someone loved them a little bit less than you should because you have to
be careful of checks and balances the wise person. You never know because one day your worst enemy
is speaking or their loved one one day your worst enemy can be your closest friend. And one day your
best friend can also become an enemy. So you have to be careful over here in this regard. The point
is that Allah subhana wa Taala can bring reconciliation between anyone so never give up hope between

00:59:44 --> 00:59:59
			fighting you know people or whatnot, they can come together and time is up point number 45. We
zoomed through them power marathon, I hope that inshallah It was a benefit point number 45. To me,
it is one of the most optimistic messages. So to use

01:00:00 --> 01:00:42
			It is one that is usually overlooked when people discuss this story and so I saved it for the last
point number 45. What matters dear Muslims, what matters in your journey to Allah subhanho wa Taala
is not where you are today. It's not how evil you are right now, or how far you are from the path
right now. Or how hard or how hard hearted you are right now Not at all. What matters is not where
you begin. What matters is where you end. What matters is what your state is when you meet Allah
subhana wa Tada. And this story is one of the main sources of optimism for those who are not that
righteous for those that are not on the best of pads at that Subhanallah you know, I mean, I hope

			insha Allah, none amongst you have tried to kill their younger brother right? I hope none of you
have done this. The brethren of use have attempted to they fought they flirted with the idea of
killing a child. And yet at the end of the story, they end up as the metaphorical stars that use of
says I saw, a guy shall cook up I saw 11 stars, and I saw the sun in the moon prostrating to me and
the stars were his brother in the end of the story, those people who are about to be murderers of
their brethren, they ended up as the highest of the high and that's why the abuse of is so powerful
to offend the Muslim and what will happen is Sawyer in our law, cause me to die in a state of

know when we're gonna die. So let's aim let's strive to change for the best right now. And whatever
happened in the past is the past Allah forgives all sins, the story of use of gives hope to the
worst sinner that even he can be a star and that's what really aiming for We ask Allah subhana wa
tada for forgiveness. We ask Allah to exalt our ranks. We ask Allah Subhana Allah as you grant us
