Yasir Qadhi – Lives Of The Sahaba 64 – Bilal Ibn Rabah

Yasir Qadhi

Shaykh Yasir Qadhi, in this video, gives testimony to illustrate in front of us the life of one of the greatest human beings to have ever walked the face of this earth and also one of the most magnanimous Sahabas who breathed for the sake of Islam and led a life in the way of Islam with immense grit, determination and conviction – Bilal Ibn Rabah RA.

Bilal Ibn Rabah was born to slave parents and he had a tall, lean, fit, dark skinned personality with big lips and nose. He adorned a slight beard and it is reported that he was of the same age as Abu bakr As Siddiq RA. Bilal RA was a slave and he was owned by Umayyah Bin Khalaf.

When Umayyah ibn Khalaf discovered that Bilal had converted to Islam, he began a series of persecutions against him at the instigation of Abu Jahl. In this state too, Bilal refused to obey his command and kept repeating “Ahad Ahad” (God is one). Angered by this refusal, Umayyah even sought to torture him by placing him on the hot sand in summer and place boulders on his chest. Such was the sheer Jahiliyyah of the time.

When Abu Bakr RA saw this on his way, he reported the matter to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and he then was instructed to free Bilal RA for a sum of 280 dirhams which was much higher for an ordinary slave. From that day onwards, Bilal RA never left the side of the Prophet ﷺ and accompanied him everywhere he went and in every battle he fought. He married only after the death of Prophet ﷺ and died childless.

Bilal RA stood on top of the Kaaba and gave the Adhan after the conquest of Mecca which was the ultimate symbol of faith. Bilal RA is the first ever Muezzin – the possessor of the most loud and beautiful voice for Adhan (hadith shared by the shaykh regarding this) in the history of Islam and he is also the first to have given the Adhan in Medina, in Mecca and in Damascus.

Numerous Hadith are said with reference to Bilal RA relating to the city of Medina, Umar RA and many more. Do listen to be acquainted with these great Hadith.

After the death of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, he was so upset that he vowed never to recite the Adhan ever again since it pained him thinking of the memories of the Prophet ﷺ. He made a concession once on the insistence of Abu Bakr RA in Syria during the battle and he obliged.

May Allah unite and reunite us with Bilal RA and the other Sahaba and the Prophet ﷺ in Jannatul Firdaus, Aameen.

00:00:04 --> 00:00:08
			Lao salatu salam ala rasulillah Allah Allah, he was so happy he won't.

00:00:09 --> 00:00:44
			So after our brief break up around a month or so that has now resumed the Sierra or the highest of
the Sahaba. And inshallah, we're just going to do a few more lessons and we're going to choose a few
more companions that we're going to stop the series. Obviously, we can go on and on and do even a
paragraph of some of the Sahaba but it doesn't make sense. To do that, we're going to then move on
to the mothers of the believers and then inshallah that will be the end of this complete series of
the Sahaba and the mothers of the believers I hope insha Allah to finish this before the month of
Ramadan of this year inshallah, to Allah today, we will begin with a Sahabi, whom everybody knows,

00:00:44 --> 00:01:30
			but it is useful to remind ourselves of his full story beginning to end. And he is one of the most
famous of the Sahaba and that is Bilal, a bank robber, villain, a bank robber. And of course, Bella
is one of those Sahaba that every single Muslim in the entire world knows about. And we all know the
essentials of his story, I'm just going to go over what we know, and then narrate some of his a
hadith that have been narrated in the books of sooner, of course be that as we know, was originally
from Abyssinia. However, he was not born in avicennia. He was actually born in Makkah, his father
was also a slave, and he was a slave. And it is mentioned that Bella's mother was one of those

00:01:30 --> 00:02:18
			ladies that came with the army of the elephant, the people of the elephant in Abra has army and she
was then taken as a slave, and beloved was then born. So Bella's mother and father were both slaves.
And Milan was born in the tribe of the bunny Juma as a slave, and therefore he grew up speaking
Arabic absolutely fluently. He did not speak Arabic as a second language. He was born and raised in
Mecca. And therefore This also explains the eloquence that he had. Because in reality, his language
that his mother language is in fact, Arabic. physically speaking, we have reports that beloved was a
very tall and lean and fit person, obviously very dark skin and color shaded edema. It's called a

00:02:18 --> 00:03:06
			very dark skin. And this is also narrated by the jahi taunts that people would give that they would
people in Julia would say to Bill, are you having a soda? Oh, son of a black woman. And the
implication here is that he himself is very dark in color. Yep. And so that and he also it is
narrated that he had very large lips and a large nose, who had a lot of hair on his head. But his
beard was not full, it was sparse, he had did not have a full beard. And towards the end of his
life, the beard became mixed with white so it was white streaks and black streaks of hair, but it
wasn't a full beard. bilad was the same age as Abu Bakar of Saudi Arabia, Allahu Allah, and who, and

00:03:06 --> 00:03:54
			he was born, as I said, into slavery, and his master was omiya in color for a year inside of, and
omiya was one of the worst of the worst. We all know the stories of Romania bin Khalid, he is
essentially similar to Abu Jamal, in the venom and the hatred that he had of Islam. Billa even a
robot was the earliest convert to Islam from amongst the slave class. And this is proven by many
narrations, the most famous of them is the story of Ahmed nabasa that I have mentioned before, when
I'm going to converted to Islam. I'm gonna travel to Mecca. And he asked the process of Who are you
He said, an OB what is an A be a lesson to me? What did he send you with? To worship Him alone to be

00:03:54 --> 00:04:36
			good to family? Who is following you? And the prophets have said he'll run wild, one free man and
one slave is following me. And this is early early Dawa. And so he said he'll run wild, one free man
and one slave. And the slave obviously is beloved Eben raba. I looked as many references as we had
as I could find. I did not come across the story of Islam. I have not come across this and no
reference that I mentioned, as that I looked at mentioned this incident where How did he embrace
Islam? Nonetheless, the fact that he is an early convert is proven it is multifaceted, and there is
no doubt about this. Now.

00:04:38 --> 00:05:00
			over the period of time, his Islam then became known obviously the beginning it was secret, however,
perhaps in the third or fourth year of his conversion, so a few for a few years as Islam was kept
secret. But when the Prophet system began preaching publicly, so that's three years after the war
began, and Bilal converted the first year of the Dawa. So for sure to

00:05:00 --> 00:05:40
			Two years went by. And bilad was a secret Muslim, nobody knew about it. And this was necessary. Why?
Because he had to develop his eyman. In order to face what he was going to face. It takes a while
for a man to grow. And so for a few years, he is practicing Islam in private, and no issues are
happening. Then the Prophet system goes public with the message of Islam, and Abu Jihad and Abu
lahab. And omega ebonheart of these three become the worst enemies of Islam. And they do so many
these as you know, omiya was one of those who participated in throwing the animal on the Profit
System, he

00:05:41 --> 00:06:25
			encouraged somebody to spit in the face of the problem in his list goes on and on a bit harder
because of the worst of the worst. Now his own slave is Beloved. And one day he was saying bad
things about Islam about the Prophet system, when somebody remarked to him, that why are you worried
about others, your own slave has been seen with the profit center with the Muslims? In other words,
you should consider concentrate your own family. Now you can imagine the anger that Oh, my year
would have felt that How dare one of my own children convert to Islam? And we're not sure I'm sorry,
slaves, because obviously slaves are considered what you understand here. slaves are your family,

00:06:25 --> 00:07:05
			even if they're not your blood family, like you're responsible for them. And if a slave does
something wrong or bad, this reflects on you because you are in their days you are the owner of the
slave, right? So the slave is extended family. Obviously, the slave does not have the same love and
the same inheritance, but essentially the slaves honor is a part of the family honor, if the slave
does something bad, then it is the owner that is going to be embarrassed. Right? So villas
conversion, you can imagine how omiya even kind of felt. And so when he heard this, it is said Omega
paced around the whole day waiting for blood to come back when he returned at Muslim time. He said

00:07:05 --> 00:07:49
			to him, is it true that you have Sabah which is what they would call accept Islam? Is it true that
you have embraced Islam, and Bilal from the get go never made one statement that went against Islam,
even though we know he has the allowance to do so what not, he never once was hesitant to speak the
truth. And he said straight to his masters face that now that you have heard that, yes, it is true.
I have embraced the faith. And he has said to him, that Who are you to embrace anything, you are a
slave? You have no right to any Free Will you have no right today as you please You are my property.
And he tried to convince him threaten him to leave Islam. And of course, the law said I shall never

00:07:49 --> 00:08:36
			do so. And so my then began a series of prosecutions. And this is of course famous or infamous in
all books of Sierra in Miss rhodiola. One said, and this hadith is famous is worded in Bahati and I
mentioned it many times in the Sierra. The first people who announced their Islam were seven, seven
were the first converts the prophets of the law. Why do you send them Abu Bakar Amar and his
mother's sumiya and sohaib and Bilal, and myka dad, these are the seven that are the first converts.
So as for the Prophet salallahu idea he was setting them his uncle Abu Talib protected him. And as
for Abu Bakar, his people the blue team protected him but for the rest of them they were tortured.

00:08:37 --> 00:09:04
			The rest of the five war tortured and they were placed in Iran chains and in Iran armor in the sun
even was rude said each and every one of them said something to reduce the suffering. They said they
just made a major hesitant whatever except for Bella every one of them caved in at least partially
except for Bella.

00:09:05 --> 00:09:25
			So as we know Amar story I've already mentioned that a few months ago other stories so even though
we don't know anything of Somalia for example, that she said anything but even Masuda saying that
they might have done some things at certain times is Allah knows best that eventually of course,
Somalia and the answer they died Shaheed and whatnot, but it seems that

00:09:27 --> 00:10:00
			they might have done whatever little bit which is, of course in our Shetty completely had nothing to
be criticized. But bilad was the one who perhaps went out of his way to really provoke his captors,
right. Perhaps the others might have been silent, whatever, belie went out of his way to verbally
assert, he's not going to change. And so even Massoud said, Every one of them said something to
reduce except for Bilaal for forgotten enough Sufi Sevilla. It's you can't translate it, it means
that

00:10:00 --> 00:10:49
			He considered his body worth nothing. He considered his body worth nothing for Allah subhanho wa
Taala. And he considered his people worth nothing for the sake of Allah. So his body and his people
became irrelevant. And what was important was a lot. So I know what to say when Massoud said they
would take him from Valley to Valley. And they would hang him to the sofa, ha, the the youngsters,
the thugs, and all the while he would be saying how the famous story I had done had other reports
say that omega Van Hollen would go to him and say to him, that could alert a loser. Just say a let's
say a loser. And that's when he would respond. I hadn't. I hadn't I had, so that I hadn't I had was

00:10:49 --> 00:11:29
			a response to his coaxing to praise not even praise just say alert, just say it that a lot and a
loser and I will let you go. And Amada vinyasa himself said as reported in double homicide, he said,
all of us said what they wanted us to say except for me that this is Ahmad himself reporting. All of
us we ended up little bit or saying except for Bella, and the books of Sierra they mentioned
different types of torture that was given to him. In my research, today I came across at least three
or four different types of tortures that was given to a lot of the types of torture that was given
to the lad

00:11:30 --> 00:12:16
			is that he would be placed he or there would be metal plates of armor, put on top of his body, and
he will be left to cook in the sun basically, okay, so you put inside shield or something that is
basically armor hot, and the sun is going to come heat the iron up and then heat the inside up. So
it's going to burn from the outside is going to burn from the inside of the torture that was done as
well was that omiya would wrap him up or tie his hands and legs and then hand them to the thugs you
know every society has people every country every civilization has those people that have nothing
better to do they love to just you know, hang around and do nothing. In our in our times the drug

00:12:16 --> 00:12:55
			addicts are the people these times they have nothing better to do with their lives other than waste
their time or whatnot, the thugs if you like so he would have he would hand over belong to those
groups of people just say do with him as you please. And so as the books of sera mentioned, they
would drag him so he's tied up, and they would drag him in the streets of Mecca. And imagine now the
blood, the bruises the pain that would happen, and of the torture that was mentioned as well. And
perhaps this was the last and omiya is now ratcheting up the torture of bit by bit because also
realize that omiya does not want to kill Bella, because at the end of the day, Bella is what his

00:12:55 --> 00:13:36
			property, beloved is worth money. Bilal is a slave. And by and large, he had been a loyal slave. And
he had been a hard working slave and the end of the day belied his property for over a year. So
Maria does not want to kill or Maya wants to punish as much as possible without actually killing
him. And he doesn't want to cut off a hand or leg because then in the end of the day, oh my is not
going to be able to take advantage of the slave as much as possible. So he wants to torture in a
manner that will not leave permanent damage, but leave enough of a pain to cause him to give up
Islam. And of the worst torture that was done in Perhaps this was the final straw for the Muslims

00:13:36 --> 00:14:19
			that saw this was that who Mejia himself and by the way, ommaya would supervise the torture as it is
known, he himself would supervise the torture, he would type it out and leave him then come back and
say say a lot of the worst of the tortures was that he would take blood in the hot summer day and
tie him on the ground with the pebbles underneath his body. And anybody who has been in the desert
climate, you know, those pebbles are so hot that you can literally fry an egg literally I'm not
exaggerating, you can cook something on those pebbles in the summer heat, the the the the rock
simply absorbs absorbs and is going to give out that same heat. So he would tie bill out on the

00:14:19 --> 00:15:00
			ground stakes, you know in the ground and whatnot. And then place large boulders on his chest and
continue to add boulders to increase the weight on the chest. So leave a heavy rock there, come back
and then come and say say a lot to the loser. He says I hadn't I had I don't know the rock at
another rock. So you can imagine now the boulders are now going on his chest, the breathing, the
pain, the the burns on the chest. All of this is adding up and it was at one of those times that
abubaker deal passed by him. And he then argued with omiya For how long will you continue

00:15:00 --> 00:15:42
			to torture this man simply for saying La ilaha illAllah delko to Luna Rajan and your owner of Viola
the size in the Quran, a worker said it and then it is in the Quran on the tongue of the movement of
artists around a taco to Luna Rajan and your Pura. Viola, you're going to kill a person simply
because he says La ilaha illAllah. Then aboubaker said sell him to me. And my said, No, a worker
said sell him to me, I'll give you more than his price. And they negotiated until finally, they
agreed to the price of seven oltenia, which was maybe triple or quadruple what he would have been, I
don't know the the going rates would have been at the time but seven opia translates into 280

00:15:42 --> 00:16:33
			denims. And I did a hum is a silver coin. So 280 silver coins, which was definitely an exorbitant
amount for an average slave like Bill at the end of the day is an average slave. They have plenty of
them. Nothing, especially, you know, going to make him extra expensive. So Bucher finally agreed to
pay a sorry, oh, my god finally agreed to sell a book or wanted to pay from beginning or may have
finally agreed to sell at a very exorbitant price of 280 Delta homes. And after this, then Bilal
became a free man in Makkah, and since that point in time until his death, Bilal essentially never
left the sight of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he attended each and every battle, and he

00:16:33 --> 00:17:18
			was the first to migrate to Medina. And in a hadith in Sahih Bukhari we learn that when they had
migrated to Medina, the Sahaba, fell sick because of the climate of Medina. Medina for them was a
very noxious climate. That's because Makkah had pure dry air. Medina is moist from their perspective
for us, Medina is dry when we go but from their perspective, Medina is moist, and so they have all
of these viruses and whatnot. And so all of the Sahaba felsic, Abu Bakar thought he was gonna die.
And Bella is with high fever, and a Chateau de la Juan has said, I visited beloved before the hijab
verse came down, he was sick with high fever, and I said, How are you doing Bilal and Bilal

00:17:19 --> 00:17:46
			versified poetry social panela even though he was not Arab by blood, he has pure poetry like he grew
up as an Arab and his Arabic is absolutely fluid because again, he's born and raised there. And he
versified poetry and he shouted like with a loud voice, and this hadith is in Bahati, Allah later
she already has a be 10 la Latin. be fine. Well, how will it hold on Waterloo? what? what *? I
didn't know Yeoman.

00:17:49 --> 00:18:36
			Yeoman Mija Houma Jean nuttin. What hallelujah. do halia do one Li Sharma tune what to Pharaoh. So
how Woe to me how much I wish that I spent a night in Boston. And fuck is one of the values outside
of Makkah, surrounded by his her Angelina. And if her is the famous tree of maca, Angelina is also
one of the flowers of maca. So how I wish I could be in one of the valleys of Makkah surrounded by
Highland jelly. And why can't I see a day that I will drink from the waters of Magento and Magento
was one of the wells of Mina. So why can't I go back to those wells of Mina? And what held you up?
Do one elishama want to fail? And why can't I see the two mountains of Shama and to fail to the

00:18:36 --> 00:19:19
			mountains outside of MK social handler even though Bella was tortured in Makkah, still, he grew up
and he lived there his entire life and his memories. His whole life was in Mecca. And he missed MK
immensely. And so he is versifying, I missed the mountains of muck I miss the valleys of Mecca. You
know I miss the the water of muck everything. So he says I went to the profitsystem and told him
what VLAN said. I told him what the law said and so the profits of the law Why did he was selling
them made to our to a law he raised his hands and he said Oh Allah take the plagues and the diseases
in Medina and throw them outside in a faraway place you know called a blot. And Allah had big Elaine

00:19:19 --> 00:20:00
			el Medina dockerhub Bina Makita overshirt caused us to love Medina, just like we love maca or more
than we used to love maca. So believes poetry moves the processes on so much that he may do it to
Allah that it will law cause us to love Medina even more than we love Makkah. And this is why
brothers and sisters all the Muslims will have an ounce of Eman in their hearts. They love Medina.
There's no there's just everybody knows this right? There's a special love that Medina has an every
Islamic culture in the world has poetry talking about visiting Medina going to Medina.

00:20:00 --> 00:20:38
			You know wandering the streets of Medina. Why? Because our Prophet system said allama Habibi, Naina
Medina been a marketer worship and this was given because of the last poetry because that is missing
maca so much. I just want to see the mountains I want to see the valleys I want to sleep the night
in the open skies, I used to do that in Makkah, I want to be surrounded by Italian jelly. So this
move the process is actually beautiful poetry. It moved the profitsystem itself and he made do out
to a lot of a lot. We're not going to be in mud canal so at least caused us to love Medina even more
than we loved muck. And so as we know this caused the Muslims to love Medina. And, of course the

00:20:38 --> 00:21:03
			famous story within a few weeks or months of the hijra. Abdullah bin Zayed sees the famous dream of
the event. So in Medina, the famous dream of the Adhan takes place. And Abdullah bin is a it's clear
from that he that he kind of sort of wanted to be the one to give it to that. And it's understood
why shouldn't he has every right to want to wish that but when Abdullah and his aides said the dream
to the Prophet says I'm

00:21:05 --> 00:21:54
			immediately the processor and said this is a true dream call Bilaal for me spinal. This is a true
dream call Bella. Even though Bella was not in the dream, and Bella was not standing there call
Bella for me. And Bella was called Then he said to Abdullah, go tell below the words make deltin In
other words, you know, feed him the words and he will then call out the event for in the who and our
Sultan, because he has the strongest nnedi it means both strong and melodious. Okay, so if I know
under Sultan, he is the one who has the most powerful and there's also a beautiful element here. So
the Arabic word nadie doesn't just mean loud, it means loud and powerful and beautiful and majestic

00:21:54 --> 00:22:41
			all together. So his his voice is the most beautiful and powerful final under Sultan. So this
demonstrates as well therefore, that bilad had a deep booming voice, and that he had a melodious
voice as well. And so from that time onwards, the first event ever given in the history of mankind,
because the Adhan is only an hour's video, it is not in the other videos, it was not given to other
traders. So the first event ever given in the history of mankind was given by Beeline. Anybody who
gives the event afterwards. In fact, they are following villain, villain is the Savior that was the
name the leader of all those who give that. And throughout his life, Bilal then became the official

00:22:41 --> 00:23:18
			version of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for the next 10 years of Medina, no one gave as
an IF beloved was present. If beloved was there, only he is going to give it that the only time
somebody else is giving a damn is it, beloved, is traveling with the process of them, because he
never left the side of the process until the processor indict. He never went on an expedition
without the Profit System, he never went left the side of the Profit System until the process of
them died. So only when the Profit System left with VLAN did economic term give the other

00:23:19 --> 00:23:58
			as a primary now, for federal there were two more essence. And even only about two would also give
the event but but the law would be the main was and that would give the first at that. Okay, so even
in a while even Mark Twain was giving the beloved would be the primary motivation, even when we have
to be the secondary motivation because as you know, Frederick has two events, right? And this began
at the time of the Prophet sallallahu it was send them the first Dan is like, you know, make sure
everybody stops praying to God if you have to eat to hold it to hold and then the second than the
actual solid time and to this day, majority Muslim countries, you know, maka Medina, they have the

00:23:58 --> 00:24:42
			two events over there. Even omega two would give the first event which is the event that stop your
tahajjud if you want to fast eat and drink now, and then bilad would give the actual event of fudger
Okay, so still the official was in his beloved. And Bella also essentially became the personal
assistant of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in all affairs and matters whenever the Prophet
system traveled without traveled with him. There's never a time that Bilal was separated from the
side of the Prophet system in any journey. The villain was the one who carried the belongings of the
Prophet system. Bilal was the one who would carry his spear, he would carry the flag at times he

00:24:42 --> 00:24:59
			would carry his shoes at times, he would at times help him perform the will do he would set up the
camp for the prophets of the law while he was selling them on the days of EAD and selected is this
off he would carry there was a special spear that the process of them had that you would use as a
sutra biller would be carrying the spear

00:25:00 --> 00:25:35
			walking in front of the process of to planted where he thought was the Manasa plays this is for
Adrian outside of Medina there they would pray either in what is now called Machu hamama. It's
literally outside when you walk outside the process, especially if you look on the right hand side
over there, there's the masjid, in those times it was outside the city, and bilad would be the one
leading the procession and planting that Javelin, where he thought was the right place for the soil
and whatnot. Beloved, of course, also became essentially the the the secretary or the door keeper of
the profits of the law while he was selling them, nobody could visit the profits of the law while he

00:25:35 --> 00:26:15
			was selling them without going through VLAN. And all of this was done voluntarily in the process of
did not give him a list of tasks. He didn't give him a list of chores. It was simply organically his
position was so accepted by the Profit System and his family that essentially he is becoming a
personal assistant in all of the familiar matters of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And of
course, this is best shown in the incident of the one month, you know, problem in the household of
the process and where the rumors came is divorcing the wives you know that one month incident that
Allah revealed the Quran, because of remember that famous story that motivated how Bob himself

00:26:15 --> 00:26:57
			wanted to go see the profitsystem. And who does he have to go through? Bilal is standing outside the
door? Imagine Omar and Bilal, and he has to ask Bilaal permission, can you go and get permission for
me? Look, Where is the macom? of what to know? Can you go get permission for me? And Bilal goes
inside. And he says, I mentioned your name, but he didn't say anything, which means no. So Omar
waits and waits and waits, then he asks a second time, can you try now, same thing. And then
finally, the third tavian of the story, that's the story of you know, the we went over that the one
month tension in the family of the process of household, but the point is, again, look at the macom

00:26:57 --> 00:27:36
			of baudin. That benard is the one that Omar has to go and and and basically beg for an audience and
appointment. And be that of course fulfills the command of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Some books have added also mentioned that the land would especially at fudger time, he would wake
the Prophet sallallahu Sallam up and remind him or to tell him, when is the appropriate time to come
out. So he'd walk up to the door, because again, remember that the door of the mosque, as I keep on
reminding you there, this, suppose this is the door, whether it would have been on that side, but
you get the point that there was one door, and there would have probably been just a small gap, a

00:27:36 --> 00:28:15
			small alleyway. And then the door at the house of the process that have no, there was no physical
door per se, it was simply a covering, you know, it was just like, they didn't have like wood to
open and shut. This is all modern stuff. They didn't have all of these luxuries and amenities. It
was simply a covering that would kind of protect from a little bit of wind and whatnot, and then
another covering. So there'd be like two, two doors and a passageway in the middle. So if you spoke,
you could hear what you had said. So below would walk straight to the end of the masjid, and say, a
Salah rasulillah, slowly, a Salah rasulillah. And when he heard the process of doing will do and

00:28:15 --> 00:28:50
			whatnot, then he would go and give and stand and wait. And when he saw the processor come out, he
would then give the karma. So he's basically telling the process of them, you may now come out,
everything is ready. Because the processor would pray the nothing in his house, he would pray the
sooner in his house. And when the people would come, then bill, I would tell him to come and give
the karma when he saw the Prophet sallallahu alayhi salam come outside, he would not give the iqama
until the Prophet system came out. And of course, this is for him, anybody else does not deserve
that much of the Salah is more important, but the process of being the Prophet, you do not start the

00:28:50 --> 00:29:27
			Salah, without him being there, right. So only when he sees the profits of some exit the house, then
he will give the karma. And the people would then stand up in their rows, also of the blessings of
Babylon is that benign, along with a small group of Sahaba are praised in the Quran. And their piety
is described and their honor is defended. And this is a very famous episode in this era, very famous
incident of the Sierra mentioned by every book of Tafseer. And it is something that all of us should
be aware of that. In the early phase of the Dawa,

00:29:28 --> 00:29:36
			a delegation came to visit a bulldog clip. And this delegation comprised of some of the more open
minded of the kurush

00:29:38 --> 00:29:40
			such as Al Walid, Al Mohler,

00:29:41 --> 00:29:48
			and others who are not as adamant as Abuja a little bit more open minded. And they said to

00:29:50 --> 00:30:00
			go tell your nephew that we're willing to listen to him and have an audience with him where he can
explain we can ask questions, and we'll think about that.

00:30:00 --> 00:30:03
			This matter, but we have one condition,

00:30:04 --> 00:30:05
			we have one condition

00:30:06 --> 00:30:21
			and that condition is he cannot have be done the first name mentioned in every book, he cannot have
Beloved. And then other names are mentioned sohaib and milk dad and Amar.

00:30:23 --> 00:30:42
			Okay. These are the four slaves, that were the most famous of the Sahaba at that time, we cannot
have them in the same gathering as us for how can the out of say that the nobles of Quraysh sat with
their own slaves so together?

00:30:44 --> 00:30:51
			If you get rid of them, or through the room, then we are willing to sit down and listen.

00:30:52 --> 00:31:17
			So the offer was given to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and some of the Sahaba said
Yasuda let's take it up. So they will understand, our people will understand, we will understand
they will understand and your peoples Islam is more precious to us. We need them. And perhaps
perhaps this idea, found a little bit of

00:31:18 --> 00:31:37
			acceptance and Allah subhanho wa Taala then revealed in the Koran, multiple verses about this. of
them as soon as alkaff was Bill Neff secca Medina, the ruler of boom belladati Bella she you know,
which one do I enact and whom to redo Xena?

00:31:39 --> 00:32:29
			What are our Felner kullberg one the cleaner whatever Allahu Akbar ambu Foucault was there enough
second Milan enough, make sure you stick yourself with and be patient with no matter whatever cost
you have to be patient with this group of people, which group of people those who are making dua to
Allah morning and evening wanting Allah's face and do not take your eyes away from them and move on
to a group simply because you want the pleasures of this world do not take your gaze What are doing
that guy? No, don't take your gaze and move it somewhere else I eat too. Oh my god, oh my Yeah, but
in this case, what do you do people get another's right, do not take your eyes and move it on to

00:32:29 --> 00:32:45
			others. Simply because you want the Xena of this world and in sort of an arm so two verses were
revealed and sort of that an arm Allah subhana wa tada says, What to do the lady in a robe of other
beloved below belladati will actually you know what?

00:32:47 --> 00:33:16
			What is it further through them for the criminal costs at the other end sort of fell through the
home for the Guna Manohar sitting there's two verses sort of thing and um I can't remember right now
it's similar to sort of go but it's the same thing in that verse. Allah says if you were to get rid
of them, you shall be of the ones who are last Fatah through them for the corner minute is a
hospital volume in which one man a cabinet has a big machine

00:33:17 --> 00:33:19
			No, it's not that there's you missing something in the middle

00:33:20 --> 00:33:24
			what what I taught you the runaround below that where he

00:33:26 --> 00:33:29
			Malaika distribution federal the federal government I

00:33:32 --> 00:34:13
			mean, avoiding me right when I was in Yes, nobody mean exactly my bed, I made a mistake photo photo
Trudeau for the government of volume in quasi any same thing if you get rid of them or kick them
out, you shall be from the volume. Okay, so if you kick them out, you shall be from the volume in
because omega said, Oh, throw the home, get rid of them. And Allah said, Well, I totally do not get
rid of them. And Allah said, if you get rid of them, you are from the vardaman. So when this ayah
came down, the books of Hadith mentioned that the Prophet system physically stood up in the
gathering. And he went and he sat with Bilal, and he sat with sohaib, and others. So that because

00:34:13 --> 00:34:59
			Allah said was built enough set that be patient with them. So he went and he sat there with them.
And of course, then the offer was rejected, the offer from Romania was rejected. And this macom of
belief is also shown in one of the most beautiful stories as well as very powerful story, that after
the conquest of Makkah, after the conquest of Makkah, when the last batch of borash finally embraced
Islam at the very, very end of the whole period of Dawa and Islam and whatnot. Finally, the conquest
takes place and the last batch of arrays except Islam sellman and suhaib and Bilal all were there,
and they saw a boo Sophia

00:35:00 --> 00:35:27
			And speaking with a group from the Muslims, and one of them remarked out loud one of them meaning of
the sermon and so haven Bilaal group, one of these early converts for heaven, beloved, one of them
said, and most likely it was beloved, but anyway just says one of them said that the swords of Allah
haven't done justice upon the necks of the enemies of Allah.

00:35:29 --> 00:35:48
			The swords of Allah, have not fully finished their duties upon the necks of the enemies of Allah
implying I will Sofia. Clear, right, implying Abu sufian should not be here. He should not have been
spared. It's part of the overall bucket of Cydia

00:35:49 --> 00:35:59
			and he is who he is, raised his voice and said, Are you saying this about the sacred and the share
of the kurush?

00:36:00 --> 00:36:12
			I also feel as a Muslim now. So what a worker said nothing is wrong there at all. He is who he is,
nonetheless, a worker and Bilal had different experiences in Makkah.

00:36:14 --> 00:37:04
			And the memories of Bilaal about Abu sufian, even though Abu Frank did not, did not physically
participate in the torture, you know, if you go back to the Sierra that I said, I said, by and
large, the sooner of a law by and large, that even amongst the kuffaar, there's categories. And the
worst of the worse, generally speaking, did not accept Islam. Yes, there's one or two exceptions.
And generally speaking, the better batch of gfar, such as the one in Romania, right, such as sohaib,
and amor, such as abou Sofia. By and large, they weren't as nasty or as crude, or as vulgar or as
mean, as vicious as that batch. And Allah azza wa jal eventually forgive them and cause them to

00:37:04 --> 00:37:49
			enter Islam. But still, in the end of the day, it's not as if Abu sufian, he could have done
something and he didn't omiya was his best friend. And one word would have stopped the whole thing.
And they know this. So essentially, he was a part of that oppressive system and regime, and he
essentially is voting in their laws, whatever you get the point like, the anger was real. And vaca
Sudheer himself is now feeling and this is human nature. So Pamela, I mean, he is in the end of the
day, he or she, and there is a human element of respect that this is our leader, our you know, our
soufiane was the senior most member of the orange still alive. And he eventually embraced Islam, as

00:37:49 --> 00:38:28
			you know. And, therefore Abu Bakar, there's nothing wrong with this is, again, this shows us the
humanity of the Sahaba. And it's not as if it's a sin, he is feeling a genuine sense of respect that
this is a boo Sofia. Because again, Abu sufian age wise, he's like 20 years older than abubaker, and
whatnot. He is definitely the the last batch of, you know, the senior elders. And this is the way
that they've been raised that our leaders are our leaders. And so Abu Bakar becomes irritated. Or I
should say, he raises his voice. I mean, let's not use the word irritation, he raises his voice and
he says, Are you saying this to one of the leaders and the shape of the show, you have the courage?

00:38:29 --> 00:38:49
			How can you say this? Oh, Sophia. So when Abu Bakar rebuke them publicly, they went to complain to
the prophets of Allah, he said, and they said this, and this happened and oh, Booker said this, and
this Subhana Allah, this is a worker and I don't need to tell you who a worker is. The Prophet
system called aboubaker.

00:38:50 --> 00:38:51
			And he said,

00:38:52 --> 00:38:53
			Yeah, abubaker

00:38:54 --> 00:39:02
			perhaps you made them angry. If you have made them angry, then you have made a lot angry.

00:39:04 --> 00:39:08
			If you make this group angry, because remember the vs came down with that group.

00:39:10 --> 00:39:50
			If you have made them angry, then you have made a lot angry. When the process of said this to a
worker, a worker rushed to be led and to sohaib and he said, Yeah, what are my dear brothers?
Perhaps I irritated you, perhaps I caused you to be angry means you know, forgive me. And they said
that offer a level of care work and a low forgivable means Okay, call us no big deal. Let's forget
about it didn't happen. But again, some handle Look who is abubaker and you know, who is macom?
doesn't need to be said yet when it came to this issue. Right. The profitsystem sided with the land
and his group against this issue. small issue again, it's nothing, you know, it's not heroin,

00:39:50 --> 00:39:59
			heroin. It's not it's a matter of simply a matter of simply any beloved had every right to be angry
at Abu sufian every right to have that.

00:40:00 --> 00:40:40
			That rage, and therefore the Profit System essentially sided with them. And of course, don't ever
forget the story of omiya Van Hollen and his death, right, and what role Bilal played in that. And
of course, just briefly, I want to offer that a lot of detail in the Battle of budget, but it
deserves a quick reminder because we're doing the story here. Remember that oma you haven't heard of
and of the remedy. Now, one of the rational Bashara were business partners. They were best friends
in Jamelia, they were second or third cousin, they were very they were family, business partners,
best friends. And the right man's name was abdominal abdominal. And when he converted, he changed

00:40:40 --> 00:41:26
			his name to a man and woman. He said, Look, I don't know this regimen. And I'm not going to call you
by this name. At the same time, you're not going to you know, you know, let me call you abdominal
because when he would call up the other hand, we ignore him. So he said, Let's devise a middle name
that we can both agree to. So they they devised Abdullah Illa. Okay, Abdul Allah, because Allah has
also something that they agreed with. So I had a nickname with only omega. And that's Abdullah. And
after I mentioned the story, that when the Battle of budget finished, and the Recon fled, I was
gathering up armor to take now it's his armor, he's taking it. And as I'm walking, lo and behold,

00:41:26 --> 00:42:07
			omiya him and kind of is secretly trying to hide what not, you know, he's on the battlefield. Omega
was a large man, he wasn't able to run away. Like the resident. He was like, he kind of stuck in the
battlefield. He saw me and he shouted out abdominal, which is the old name. And I did not turn to
look at him. So then he said, Abdullah, because he needs to know. So then I turned to look at him.
And he said, What if I were to give you much more than these armors like, take me as your prisoner.
Because remember, the story is very important that they're still on the battlefield. As I've said,
you know, in the Battle of others, I went into this in a lot of detail, the battle has, this is a

00:42:07 --> 00:42:55
			gray area. And that's the whole issue here that Villa took advantage of it, that he hasn't yet left
the battlefield. Because once you're a prisoner, then you're protected. Right? Right now, he's not a
prisoner. And he sees Abdur Rahman, and he wants to become a prisoner. Okay, so he says, look, take
me as your prisoner. And I'm going to give you such and such I'm going to give you so much more than
these shields that you have these armor that you have. So after a man said, fair enough, he throws
the armor aside, and he takes my hand. Now I'm going to be your captor right. And as he takes the
hand and begins to walk back to the camp, where he will become a prisoner, Allah's Will and it is

00:42:55 --> 00:43:40
			only Allah will because at the end of the day, if Allah will, this wouldn't have happened, right?
Allah is the one person that sees this is Beloved. And there's no doubt that this is a less
cluttered that he did not want omiya to be taken prisoner. And Bilal began shouting omiya even
harder if you're going to give him protection learner Joe to in Niger, I will not be saved if he is
saved. It's an Arabic expression. Like, I'm going to die before that man is saved. That's the
meaning here, okay. Like there is no way you're going to save this person, learn to go to Indonesia.
Okay, this is Arabic, especially over my dead body. That's exactly what it says, you know, literally

00:43:40 --> 00:43:41
			Over my dead body. And

00:43:42 --> 00:43:50
			he began raising the cry human cry that Rasul Cofer omega is here. And it's still again, the battle

00:43:52 --> 00:44:38
			technically, is not fully over yet, technically. But realistically, it's over. It's calming down,
the people have fled, you get the point here, right? Technically, it's not over. And they're on the
battlefield. And we now gathers together groups of the unsolved and after a man says Bilal calm down
below, I took him a prisoner of the land. And he is with every right shouting at the top of his
lungs, Over my dead body learner due to energy, this guy is not going to be safe. And it is even
said that and you know, I mean, all of this is jazz. Abdur Rahman, Yanni he wanted to protect your
money yet because he feels that he's going to get too big grants. I mean, he puts his body in front

00:44:38 --> 00:45:00
			is that no, you're not going to do this. Right. And one of the unsolved basically struck them on the
foot, get out of here, okay. Just hit him said, you know, get out of here. And so after a man had to
basically get out of the way, and the answer, obviously took care of omiya along with the last
social handler, this is Allah cutter that Bilaal was of those who basically

00:45:00 --> 00:45:39
			Got rid of omiya even harder. And then of course, the story is well known as well that when they
tried to bury omiya, every time they buried him, the body would pop out that they could not very
omiya even heard of and so they could not find a grave for him. So what they did was they just took
some pebbles, and they put it on top of his body because he couldn't be put in the sand. And there
is no doubt that this is alumni that now those pebbles, what will they be doing to him? There's no
doubt that come out to dinner tonight as you do unto others, it will be done unto you. Of the
blessings as well would be that even Baba is the Hadith reported by the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa

00:45:39 --> 00:46:20
			sallam in the midst of that when Hakeem Bilal Serbia who el haberdasher, beloved Serbia who have a
shot below is the one who has led and shall be the leader of the haberdasher. Okay. And the Sabbath
is the one who is the one in the front of the procession. And of course, this is because Bella was
the first of the publisher to convert. And so he is the leader and the CEO of the habit shop. So he
will lead the habits are in this world and he will lead them into agenda in the next world and of
the mutawa to the blessings of bita. Perhaps the most famous Hadith regarding the blessings of
Allah, which is in Bukhari, and Muslim in every book of Hadith, the famous Hadith that the process

00:46:20 --> 00:46:34
			of one day, woke up. And the morning he asked Bilal, obey Allah, what is the one deed that you
expect a law to reward you the most for? For verily, I heard your footsteps ahead of mine in genda.

00:46:36 --> 00:47:21
			Now, this does not mean bilad entry agenda before the processor. This is a dream. And in a dream,
things are symbolic in nature. And we know that the prophets this will be the first person to enter
agenda after the Yama. So this is a dream, this isn't tiama. And he said in the dream, the famous
dream that I saw myself in genda, and they saw, you know, so and so and I saw the Palace of Roma and
I saw this so in that long Hadith, he says, and I heard the footsteps a bit. Hush Hush, do not
record questions. The flapping of your sandals. Okay, hush hush tuna Lake, I heard the flapping of
your sandals ahead of me. This does not mean that a beeline is ahead of the process of infocomm

00:47:21 --> 00:48:03
			Obviously not. But it's just a significance that Bilal has done something very great. That's what it
means. And so, he asked me like, what is the one deed that you did that you expect the most reward
for? Because I heard the flapping of your sandals in front of me in general. So, the last The one
thing that I expect a larger Ward with the most for is every time I do will do whether it is night
whether it is day, I always say to God after that, of course Bilal was of that level that he would
always have will do anyway. So anytime he broke widow he would do so every time he would do will do
he would then pray to record for Allah subhana wa Tada. So this is of the blessings of Babylon. And

00:48:03 --> 00:48:11
			once it is reported that I was sitting with Abu Bakar and Bilal came and

00:48:13 --> 00:48:49
			Omar Abdullah hotjobs said, Abu Bakar say you do not want to say either now abubaker is our say yet
and he fried our say it. So both Abubakar and Bella are the seeds of aroma. So Omar is saying this
about Bella abubaker. Say you do now what are the peseta Abubakar is our leader and he freed our
leader and say it as you know is a noble leader. It's the person in charge and whatnot. So Obama,
Bob called to be the savior. And of the blessings as well is that when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wasallam entered Makkah, and he destroyed all of the idols.

00:48:51 --> 00:49:37
			And he performed that off, and he called all the people of the oration the famous conversation took
place. What do you think I'm going to do with you on that auspicious historic moment when he forgave
all of them. And the time for Salah came, he commanded Bilal to climb on top of the cab, and to give
the man from the top of the caliber at that auspicious day and time on the day of the conquest of
Mecca. With all of the orange standing there. Perhaps the most iconic moment in the entire theater
is the conquest of Makkah, and the forgiveness of the people of Mecca. And at that point, a robot a
beloved is the one who is told to climb the garba and to give the advan and at that point, of course

00:49:37 --> 00:50:00
			many of the orange had not embraced Islam. They were going to embrace Islam over the next few weeks,
and even those few that had embraced Islam. And at this stage their political converts not Eman
converts at this stage. What are your holiday man if you do become so a number of them remarked one
of them remarked, look at this habit of climbing on top of the Kaaba, you know, another remarked It
is a good thing

00:50:00 --> 00:50:41
			My father had died before he sees this date, or else he would have died right now would have had a
heart attack right now. So so panela look at the journey of the horsch. And look at the honor that
Allah subhana wa tada and the Prophet system gave to Bilal Eben arroba. And there is no I mean,
again, we've all grown up hearing this and whatnot, I want you to really understand the implications
of this, that the Prophet says I'm choosing a black skinned man, a habashi, who is considered to be
and in this day and age as well, many societies consider a stock photo law, that is the reality,
that skin color still has an element of racism, as we all know, look at what's happening right now,

00:50:41 --> 00:51:27
			in this country with the Black Lives Matter movement, the fact that the Prophet system went over all
of the courage and all of the Arabs became irrelevant. And he said, Billa is the one who has under
Soltan. And again, there is no denying the symbolism and the profundity of beloved raising his voice
with a hat on a hat, a hat on a hat in the valleys of Makkah. And now being chosen to give the event
of a shadow Allah, Allah Illallah from on top of the gap, we believe in Islam, as you do, it shall
be done unto you, we believe that what you give will be given back to you. And when he raised his
voice for the sake of Allah subhana wa Tada. And he was persecuted and he did not sway from the

00:51:27 --> 00:52:08
			worship of Allah. He was then rewarded by becoming the first person ever in the history of the world
to give them on top of the garbage is in front of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam of the
incidence as well of Bella, which is the slightly funny story that we all know. And the Battle of
haber, when the profitsystem fought as we know more than a whole month they were fighting at HyperX.
And then finally, they decided to go back to Medina after the victory. And they traveled most of the
night, they were already tired, and only a small bit of the night is left. So they decided to go to
sleep. And the profitsystem said, Who is going to stay awake for the rest of the night to wake us up

00:52:08 --> 00:52:53
			for fudger. Immediately, beloved, said Anna yasunaga, I will do it. So the whole army went to sleep,
and beloved stood up into Jude. And next thing he knew he also fell asleep, right? And the first
person to wake up was the Prophet sallallahu Sallam because of the heat of the sun panel, and how
tired they must have been for the entire army to be out until the sun is rising. So Panama, right.
And as well, I mean, this is a constellation for all of us who every once in a while, cannot wake up
for fragile, that subpanel Okay, the process of them. Once in his life, perhaps twice. They say
Allah knows best, both occasions on expedition both occasions after jihad. So nothing like us, that

00:52:53 --> 00:53:21
			is tough for us because of a late night out or movie or something and stuff for a lot. But still,
there's some consolation that it happens if it's done unintentionally. If it's done unintentionally,
May Allah forgive us. And it's something that is some part of you being a human being. So the
Prophet system is the first to wake up. And he says, You have Ilan, what happened? and Bella woke
up, and Mashallah very smart. And he said, Yeah, rasulillah, the one who took your soul took my soul
as well.

00:53:23 --> 00:53:37
			Very quick response, couldn't say anything to that. So the President says so that's the ability of
spoken that what can I say to that? The one who took your soul took my soul like immediately, it's
not my fault. Okay. I tried. And in the end, I wasn't able to do it. And

00:53:38 --> 00:54:18
			Bilal, of course, as we know, continued to give the event for the entire 10 years of the Madani
Sierra, until I've been sad reports that on the Thursday that are sorry, the Monday that the
prophets of the law when I said and passed away, after federal as we know, he passed away, the time
for vote came, and Bella rose to give the event from on top of the masjid. And when he came to a
shadow under Mohammed Rasulullah and the body of the prophecies and is lying literally right there,
the burial has not yet taken place. It'll take place on Wednesday, he burst out sobbing and he
couldn't finish the event.

00:54:19 --> 00:55:00
			And the people in the streets of Medina also began to cry because the process of had just passed
away. And Bilal then said that he cannot give the other than, you know, for the rest of his life. I
mean, whenever But could it became the halifa aboubaker asked him to give the Adhan and Bella said,
I shall never give a dime for anybody after the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So Bill Walker
said stay with me stay here in Medina. And Bill said, if you have freed me so that you can take me
as a slave, I'll stay here. But if you have freed move for the sake of Allah, then let me go and do
jihad because the prophets have said the best of deeds is jihad. So Barker said, I have

00:55:00 --> 00:55:31
			Free Jew for the sake of Allah. So he left Medina and he went to Syria because that was where the
conquests were taking place. And he essentially remained in Syria for the rest of his two or three
years, one or more of the Hata rhodiola, one conquered Sham and conquered better democritus. He
visited, obviously, basically doctors to take the keys as we know. And when he entered Bates will
mock this and he took the keys. He then asked VLAN as a favor and an honor to give the other end.

00:55:33 --> 00:56:23
			So Bilal Subhana, Allah is the first to give it an in Medina, the first to give it on in Makkah, and
the first to give a done in beta democracy. So Panama, what an honor will lie just think about that.
So Bilal gave the event in Jerusalem, the first edition of Jerusalem in beta democritus. He gave the
event and it is said that when he gave the event, the Sahaba began to sob and cry, because his voice
brought back all of the memories of the prophets of the LaGuardia he was send them and some books of
Hadith mentioned. And Allah knows best the authenticity of this because the narration has some
issues, some theological issues, Allah knows best how true this is or not. Some books of Hadith

00:56:23 --> 00:56:24
			mentioned that.

00:56:25 --> 00:57:03
			The biller was of course in Syria was in Sham. Some books already mentioned that he saw the prophets
of the last item in a dream. And the professor said to him, Obi Lal, why have you ignored us come
and visit us many come and visit the grave? And and of this hadith is, it's mentioned in a number of
books that are not that good to visit, but ones beyond this one And generally speaking, yes. It's
not as if Allah knows best if this this portion is correct or not. Allah knows best it doesn't.
There are theological issues that are raised. Let me just put it that way. Nonetheless, Bilal
returned to Medina once so the books of history do mention that he came back to Medina once Why did

00:57:03 --> 00:57:33
			he come back? Was it because of this dream or not? Allah knows best, right? But he did come back
once to Medina, in the hereafter of or whatever the hot tub in the killer, formidable hot tub. And
when he came to Medina, Hassan and Hussein were there. And when he saw them, he hugged them, he
kissed them. He became very emotional when he saw the grandsons of the Prophet salallahu. It he was
sent them. And then they were the ones who begged and convinced him to give the event.

00:57:34 --> 00:58:15
			And this was to be the last time that he gave the gun in his life. This is the last time that he
gave the event in his life. He couldn't say no to Hassan and Hussein, he could not say no to them.
And so Subhanallah Can you just imagine that site, he climbed the place that he would have climbed
for 10 years. And he stood to give the other man in his old any place that you know, was his place
of event. And as soon as he said the tech beat, a lot of work, but a lot of luck. But the people and
Widener rushed out that what is happening, how can they hear what they have heard, and it is said
that when again, he reached a shadow under Mohammed rasulillah the streets in Medina were sobbing,

00:58:15 --> 00:58:52
			and they were just crying because all of those memories came back of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam. So his voice was associated with the prophets of Allah, why'd you send him all those
memories that they had, again for 10 years, and he every event, the person would lead was the
Prophet system, every single other, nobody would give the man in front of the process must have been
up. So his voice is associated with the memories of the Prophet system. Therefore, when he gave the
event, it was too emotional for the Sahaba. And even sad and others, they report that the people of
Medina did not cry when they heard the sound of the processor, except as much as they had cried when

00:58:52 --> 00:59:33
			he died. Yeah. And it was just so emotional for them to hear that done, that all those memories came
back. And it was as if the pain of his death all over again. And that's why of course, he could not
be giving the event over and over again. So Pamela, it turned to the last time he gave the event. He
then returned to a sham. And within a few months after this problem in the 18th year of the
hedgerow, we're not 100% sure exactly when he died in the 18th year of the hedgerow he passed away.
There have been reports in his book a CR, there have been reports that the day before he passed
away, he saw the Prophet system in a dream. And he interpreted this to mean good news that I'm about

00:59:33 --> 00:59:59
			to go. And so he expressed to his wife, he told his wife that harden, tomorrow, I will meet the
profitsystem and my loved ones, I'm going to meet them and his wife shouted out and he No, no, yeah,
we are we headed Let it not be. And he shouted out. On the contrary, yes, yes. What great happiness.
This is what I'm waiting for. And

01:00:00 --> 01:00:32
			He then passed away and it is said that his burial place is still known in Damascus. There is a
place in Damascus they call it the abode of Bilal Allah knows how true that is. But they they do
have a place still to this day in Damascus, which is allegedly the the grave of Bella Bella the last
one, it appears that he did get married only after the death of the prophet SAW they said them. So
he married in a sham most likely amongst an Arab family. But there are no children of his and

01:00:33 --> 01:01:10
			even his Sham mentions that Bilal died childless, he did not have any children. And so there is no
progeny of Bella. And it's also understood because he married so late, he would have been 60 years
old or something when he got married, probably married for two years or that's it. So his whole life
he remained single, in order to hit me essentially of the Profit System he did not get married, in
order to be with the Prophet sallallahu idea he was setting them. Time is limited just want to go
over some of the hadith of Beloved, beloved, only has like four or five different Hadith he was not
a narrator of Hadith, it was not something that he was doing also because he passed away very early,

01:01:10 --> 01:01:43
			literally, just three, four years after or five years after digital processing. He passed away. So
of the most famous Hadith Babylon, which is actually a lot of discussion has occurred regarding this
hadith What does it mean? That Bilal said Yasuda, La La the speaker Nabi amin is a very
controversial Hadith in the books. Because what does it mean? How do you translate this even in
English as a problem? All messenger of Allah don't say mean before me.

01:01:44 --> 01:01:50
			This is how it translates Okay, don't say I mean before me. What does this mean don't say I mean
before me a

01:01:52 --> 01:02:40
			lot of controversy perhaps the strongest opinion is that he was wanting to say the amin along with
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. So he is saying that give me some time before I can join the
army with you. And this hadith is used as evidence for those who say that the people behind the Imam
should raise their voice in me with me with the Imam. Okay, and as you know, this is a controversial
controversy between the hidden fees of say one thing and the other thing I think, but anyway, the
majority say that you should raise your voice with the mean. One below the other one called the
Masada pseudo lysyl Allahu Allahu Fany will come out. A lot of the a lot one reported that the

01:02:40 --> 01:03:13
			Prophet was amused to wipe over both his socks and his turban. So simple Heidi is allowed to wipe
over the sock and is also allowed to wipe over the turban. If the CMR Of course in Arabic female
generally means women's scarf, but also it can mean a man's head covering and in this case, it means
the turban and we know that the processing would wipe over his turban had eaten more alioto the last
one did while while we performed the hedge and he sent for shaybah Eben earthman to bring the keys
of the Gabba who is shaver? Man?

01:03:17 --> 01:04:05
			The blue shaver the custodian of the keys he sent for Shaban earthman for the keys of the Kaaba. And
he said bring for me Abdullah had been out as well. So Abdullah have an AMA came while we said to
him, do you know whether the Prophet says and prayed in the cab? And even even Omar said yes, the
Prophet says in prayed in the Kaaba, he entered the Kava Kava, and I was late in following him. And
by the time I got there, I found the door closed and Bella was standing there. So I asked Bella did
the Prophet says and pray in the cab? And Bilal said yes, he prayed in the carrabba between the two
pillars in the front, okay, so this is something that's b that is reporting to Eben Oman a bit

01:04:05 --> 01:04:09
			onwards in reporting tomorrow we are in a b soufiane of the Hadith as well.

01:04:11 --> 01:04:50
			Even Omar said that the profitsystem entered the garbage with arithmetic and follow her and Osama
bin Zayed and Bilal and then Bilaal Close the door. Then when they came out, I asked Bella and what
did the Prophet system do? He said, he left two of the pillars on the left of his sight and the two
of the pillars on the right of his side and three behind and he then prayed. So the character in
those days and to this day is still the same it had four and three pillars, okay to this day as just
so that they keep it the same. The Kaaba had four pillars and three pillars inside it, Seven Pillars
inside it, okay, this is from the time of Jamelia, and to this day, just to keep that customer live,

01:04:50 --> 01:04:59
			there are still four pillars, the pillars in the past, or of course to support the roof. In our
times. They're simply symbolic. They don't need the pillars to support the roof. They just put them
there. So

01:05:00 --> 01:05:20
			Bella is saying, the professor stood in between the front for put the three behind him to on his
left to his right and then prayed to God. So beloved is the one who is narrating this to even Omar,
who then narrated to us. And essentially, all of the other Hadith or the sample just mentioned one
headache that

01:05:21 --> 01:06:09
			is different and that is, beloved reported that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to me
that I should perform death, we've only in the event of fudger and that we mean to say, a Salah to
Hiram in a note. Okay, so this is where do we get this from of Salatu Herman and Ahmed is this
hadith and who narrated it, obviously, beloved, okay, so Bilal said the Prophet system commanded me
to perform death Wiebe, only in salata ledger and that is to say, Hi, yeah, I mean, sorry, it is to
say a solid to hydrometeor No, and it is said in solid Frederick so this is the story of Bella in
Rabat May Allah subhana wa Taala unite and reunite us with be lad and with the Sahaba with the

01:06:09 --> 01:06:33
			process of Indian nothing further said Allah and inshallah next Wednesday, I will do with Bill Al's
companion. So hey, roomie bill Allen's whatever always mentioned together, so we'll do that the
companion so how about Rumi and then inshallah we'll move on to the third of them and that is
Sandman and fight is always mentioned together so we'll do all of them in shallow to either with
that any quick questions about Villa and then break for Salah any questions what we did yesterday

01:06:43 --> 01:07:00
			when they missed the Salah till failure, the prophet solo lesson actually told them move away from
here because this is a place of shape on like all of us went to sleep. We don't want to have that
impact on us. So they moved a little bit and then they stopped and then they prayed Jamar so they
saw the footage
